"Cat, wait!" Ladybug laid a hand on her partner's arms as the villain ducked around the corner into the alleyway shadows. "It could be dangerous. Let me go first." Ladybug whirled her yo-yo so fast it was just a blur, whistling as it made its own wind.

Seeing that the coast was clear, she beckoned for Cat to join her. Cat silently walked forward, then stopped, eyes wide. "M'lady," he whispered. They pressed into each others backs. "What? Do you see the Knitter?" "No, I see yarn!"

Oh, no. How could she have forgotten her best friend and partner's nemesis that wasn't human? Cat loved to play with yarn, but he often got tangled and needed her help.

"Control your urges, love. You can-" Ladybug jumped in a panic as her words cut off as a distressed meowing sound reached her ears. Her mouth fell open as she spotted Cat, high in the air, tangled in red yarn, yowling for all his worth.

"Cat, did the Knitter do this?" she called up as she figured out her best flight plan. "No," Cat sniffled, "I climbed up here myself. You know I can't resist two things, M'lady. You and yarn."

"Oh, love," she begin to untangle him, hiding a secret smile as she saw his wobbling lip. So, Cat was free of the yarn and back with two paws on the earth. "M'lady, your my hero," Cat shook her hand. She sighed, shaking her head. "Cat, I'm a superhero, it's my job. And stop getting distracted!"

Crash! Thump! Ladybug whirled around, yo-yo at the ready. It sounded like the Knitter was close! "Get ready for a ambush," she gritted her teeth.

Cat, however, was mesmerized by something else. Red, and swinging in the breeze, begging for a certain black-clad paw to come bat it. Oh, this was worse then the red dot or Marinette's pigtails.

"M'lady!" "Oh, Cat! Not again!" Untangling him for the second time, Ladybug lay on a hand on his shoulders. "Wait here, don't move, and be good. No string. Got it?" her bluebell eyes were beautiful, but Cat could tell she meant it.

Ladybug took off and Cat yawned, sliding down. The wall was warm from the afternoon sunlight, and if he couldn't play with yarn, he might as well snooze.
