Prologue: Deep in the Hotel's attic the seal was broken. Charlie stood there surrounded by the unfamiliar and rusty looking trinkets and dusty knickknacks that have been forgotten since Lilith left. The gloomy attic reeked strongly of aged wood and a hint of sulfur, as though the remnants of Hell itself seeped into the room. Her fingers trembled as they brushed over the ancient looking safe, adorned with glowing runes that pulsed faintly with each beat of her heart. For years, she had wondered about her Parent's influence on all of Hell—were they a tyrant bent on torment, or did they have some greater hidden purpose? The hotel was her attempt to redeem the people of hell, but now she was faced with the weight of continuing her parent's legacy. She hesitantly opened the cursed rusty safe and was surprised to see what appeared to be an hourglass. The beautiful faded golden sand swirled with a striking black, defying was whispering promises of power and change. Charlie was looking at this new found hourglass in awe, then suddenly Vaggie's voice cut through the silence like a knife. "Charlie, what the fuck is this? You seriously want to mess with that?" She said firmly with her arms crossed as she leans on the doorway with an unamused face. Charlie turned to face Vaggie, her eyes resolute. "I have to try. If there's even a chance it can help us—help Hell—I can't walk away form a chance like this!" With a soft incantation left by Lucifer, the safe slowly creaked open, revealing the artifact fully. Charlie briefly hesitated at first but she soon grasped the hourglass. As soon as she touched it, its energy surged through her veins as vision flashed before her eyes—a shattered map of Hell, dotted with glowing fragments, each locked away in the most dangerous corners of the underworld. And faintly, almost a mockingly sweet tone, she heard her parent's laughter echo in her mind.
