Thunder shook the ground and lightning struck a tree, a big mass of lightning stuck the scorching it, on the burned ground was a platinum haired girl with storm cloud colored eyes, it was Sorami "I am here!" She said, looking at the Suzubuya encampment. Fulgoramon descended from the sky, she had the same mental expression as her human partner "Time to take out the Heretics first"

-Several days prior-

Sorami had once again tracked down the pyramid, that she had tracked the other digidestined to, and once again it vanished, she punched a mushroom covered tree, she let out a scream of annoyance the traitors had evaded her again.

"Do you really want to kill them, " said a familiar voice from behind Sorami, it was her younger self standing a foot from her. Her expression was of complete sadness.

"Shut up!" Sorami screamed, as she turned to face, a child that had been her at one point, she threw a rock at it, which went completely through it, since it wasn't an actual person talking to her but her inner conscience. "They betrayed what it is to be digidestined, they deserve to die, so someone more worthy can take up the mantle they're corrupting"

"You know you are the one corrupting your mantle, the conflict between you and your Digi chip's virtue is causing you to bleed from your eyes" Sorami Conscience said, running its finger under her eye.

Sorami did the same and came back with a finger with a droplet of blood on it, but she didn't react what so ever, she wasn't seeing the blood, because of her current mental statue wasn't letting "You are lying to me, and I don't have to listen to you" she said through gritted teeth. She turned away from her conscience. "Now go away"

The young image that had been her conscience, started crying before it vanished like something that had been pulled out of existence.

"Sorami they are not in the pyramid, they left it and now are located in Digitopia" a voice said coming from the forest, and Abaddon walked out from behind a tree. "You are waiting for a light to shoot into the air, that is your signal to arrive, and take out anyone you see they are all heretics"

Sorami nodded like she understood, like she only heard Abaddon, but didn't actually see him, her digimon partner swooped down, and picked her up, and launched into the sky carrying her off.

Digimon Sync Episode 50 "Too Far Gone?"

"Almost all the Digidestined are here, Leoben is the Digidestined of reliability" Tajiri said, ignoring Leoben's expression. "We have much to plan, and little time for any more distractions"

"What about Sorami, she is trying to kill us all, but we need her for the final battle with Lilithmon, all the digidestined have to be involved" Virgil said, walking up to Tajiri.

"She might be too far gone, we might have to kill her so her chip can find a new wielder, she attacked a guardian that had been her mentor, he trained her when she had been a recruit" Tajiri said, turning to face Virgil, giving an expression that told him to back off.

"She is your daughter, and you are giving up on her without even trying to reach her yourself?" Virgil asked, with annoyance cracking his tone of voice.

"She is a guardian, she has been trained to give her life for the greater good, I would give my own life if that served it, and all my people would do the same" Tajiri said, now turning his back to Virgil.

"It took a very long time from the time the legendary digidestined had the chips to you guys getting them do you want to take that chance, we don't have the time to wait that long this time. Lilithmon will make her way towards the door, and she will end everything within days of now" Virgil said, pleading to everyone's common sense.

"Why should we listen to a sage of the Infinitas Sages, I recognized the robes you and Hikaru are wearing, hopefully you didn't corrupt her with your ways and false knowledge" Tajiri said, as he glared at Virgil.

"I only showed them the truth, it's your knowledge that is false!" Virgil said, meeting Tajiri's glare with one of his own.

No one had a chance to say anything else, there was explosion in the distance. A plume of smoke came from the direction of the Suzubuya encampment, the digidestined realized and made a beeline toward, they were all confused at what was going. Was the Kurokami Brigade or was it more Paradigm Shift shenanigans. When they arrived there several tents were on fire, including the royal tent, which Mikuni ran towards, Takajin made his way towards the tent his mother was in. Whatever or whoever did this had taken them all off guard? There were body of armor clad soldiers all over the place, the soldiers on their feet were all busy trying to put out all the fires. Kizuguchi was laying on the ground severally injured, Mikuni checked him and found a pulse, he was still alive but unconscious, he awoke when she pulled her hand away.

"It was a digidestined, who attack up, all she did was scream that we are all heretics and should be punished" Kizuguchi said. Coughing in-between words "It was Sorami, we couldn't convince that we weren't on the side of the Kurokami brigade" he paused to regain some strength before continuing "The King took some of the elite knights and he's going to try to stop her"

"Is he insane if someone can do this to someone like you, the most elite bodyguard then those knights and father have no chance in heck of doing any better" Mikuni said, before calling for medics, who arrived immediately, and took to treating her uncle.

Takajin arrived at the royal tent with his mother in tow, she was disheveled but fine, she was just confused at what was going on, the other digidestined arrived except for Tajiri who stayed at the Guardian encampment, probably didn't think Suzubuya affairs were his concern.

"Some digidestined he is" Hikaru said, still annoyed by the corruption claims Tajiri had about Virgil, he had become a valued friend since they had met at the Pyramid, why didn't she speak up, something about Tajiri had terrified her, he was the leader of the guardians, and that type of authority was kind of scary. Thinking about Virgil brought forth memories of Damien, the journey with his Sages, she had helped them die. She shook off those thoughts because she had no time to deal with those memories, she had a rogue digidestined to deal with. She ran to catch up with Mikuni, was probably on the warpath seeking justice for what happened there.

-Several minutes prior-

Sorami stood at the edge of the Suzubuya encampment, tents filled with people known to be associated with the Kurokami brigade, namely the prince Akira, and King Daisuke Suzubuya, she was going attack when her younger self representing her subconscious mind appeared again, she thought she had chased away that apparition that was trying to trick from her final goal.

"Please don't touch anyone, because you can't tell who is friend and who is your enemy… please you need to fight and regain yourself" younger Sorami said, looking on Sorami with pleading eyes.

"Shut up!" Sorami screamed out, while Fulgoramon lashed out on the encampment with a furious onslaught of lightning. Which sets several tents on fire.

At that moment several knights in Silver armor emblazoned with the Suzubuya coat of arms charged at Sorami, only to have the fight wave struck down by lightning, having armor didn't save them it only conducted the electricity and cooked them to death. Instead of stopping the armored soldiers kept, some got to Sorami herself only to have her clean their clocks, she kicked off one of their helmets and viciously stamp her foot into the base of their knock with an audible cracking noise.

"Halt your advance, this is a digidestined you are attacking" King Daisuke said, shouting from his tent, his daughter had told him about Sorami and her current brainwashed state. He was going to buy time, hoping the other digidestined had seen the explosion, from where they were in Digitopia. {"Brave digidestined they do you attack my kingdom, we are here on peaceful terms with Digitopia and mean them no harm?"

"You are known collaborators, you and your son made a deal with them" Sorami said, pointing and shouting at the king of Suzubuya.

"Which was called off several days ago, and my son has been judged guilty of treason, he tricked me into making a deal with them, but meant to use them to get my throne. When he couldn't defeat his sister in honorable combat" King Daisuke said, gesturing in the general direction of the tent his son was imprisoned in, on the other side of the encampment.

Sorami wasn't looking at Daisuke, she was looking at what appeared to be nothing to everyone, but herself, she saw several of her fellow guardians.

"You really trust the words of a king that rules a dictatorship" an imaginary Daloran Taiga said, and repeated by her digimon partner Regulumon.

An imaginary Drake Hawkins appeared "Yes, they cannot be trusted, kill them for their heresy" he said, gesturing to the king of Suzubuya, both images that Sorami was seeing were products of the brainwashing unlike the one of her younger self. Which appeared and stood between them and Sorami.

"Don't listen to them, they will make you bad things causing you to die" Young Sorami mental apparition whimpered, and was now crying blood like Sorami herself was. Before she could continue, she was backhanded slapped off her feet by imaginary Daloran Taiga, landing on her behind.

"Don't listen to this child, she is a trick trying to get you killed by these collaborators, kill them before it's too late" Imaginary Drake said, before running up and kicking Young Sorami in the ribs. "Do it now"

Sorami raised her hand and pointed towards King Suzubuya "Time to die collaborators!" She said, as Fulgoramon sent a bolt of lightning towards him. The bolt never made contact with the king because General Kizuguchi had quickly stepped in the way, taking its full brunt, which launched him backwards into the royal tent.

Acting like it hit the king, Sorami looked down at the ground like there was a dead body, then turned her back to him "The King is dead, long live the guardians" she said, as she ran towards the prisoner tent.

"Send a medic" King Daisuke shouted, before chasing after Sorami, he wasn't going to let that girl near his son no matter what his crime was, he was still one of his beloved children. He arrived at the tent that his son had been restrained in, and found Sorami dragging him out by the scruff of his tunic, still manacled bound

"Little prince prepare to die, for crimes against the world" Sorami said, tossing Akira to the ground, she turned to face her partner Fulgoramon in the sky, and raised her right hand and made a gesture drawing a line across her throat with her thumb. "Fry him"

King Suzubuya, watched in slow motion as the lightning surged through the air, and made its way toward his only, he made a mad dash toward him, doing the only thing he knew he had to do, he leaps in the way of the lightning bolt and it struck him instead of Akira, mentally he wasn't there anymore, he was standing in a field, his dead wife Megumi, she was in front of him holding out her hands in a gesture to take her hands. He walked towards her, while a skeletal digimon was running towards him, raising a sword and aiming to take off his head. But as soon as he took Megumi's hands, a flash of memories started flashing before his eyes, and it felt like he had just slipped into a warm bath, as he watched these memories unfold from meeting each of his wives, including Megumi, to having seen the birth of his first born child Akira, and then Mikuni, seeing friends that were now long dead, joyously celebrating victory after victory with his half-brother Kizuguchi. Was this the end of everything if it was he would be proud to hand over his kingdom to Mikuni, even if she didn't want it was her destiny to reign of Suzubuya as its monarch.

Akira screamed as he looked over at his father's motionless body crumpled in front of him, his wish to kill his father had only been him being angry about not being next in line for the throne, he in fact never actually wanted him dead, he forced himself forward with his unbound legs.

Sorami Oblivious to what had happened, stood over the king's motionless form, blood streaming down her face, and dripping off her chin.

That's when Mikuni made the scene, she bypassed Sorami, and made her way to her father, and checked him for a pulse, and found nothing, he was dead, for a moment she thought she saw her father standing ahead of her hand in hand with her mother, they were waving goodbye to her. She turned to face Sorami, anger welled in her, but she knew that killing her wasn't justice, she wasn't in her right mind at present and wasn't guilty of murder, those who did this to her were. She was going to knock some sense into Sorami, hopefully she knew those that needed to see her justice. KazeLeporimon cracked both her paws knuckles before surrounding herself with gale force winds, and then charging towards Fulgoramon. Lightning and wind clashed as both digimon met. One of her wind punches connected with Fulgoramon's face, and she got a face full of lightning from Fulgoramon in return. She hit her in the face with a wind punch, they traded blows.

Takajin made the scene, along with Thania, Hikaru, Leoben, and Huang, they watched the battle above, all their digimon except Leoben, Thania and Huang's digivolved into their mega forms and advanced on Sorami's digimon partner as they joined Mikuni on the ground as she fought Sorami herself. But Sorami was dodging them with ease only flinching when Fulgoramon got hit in the face again. Sorami suddenly leg swept Takajin, with him landing with a thud face first on the ground bursting his nose, coating the ground with his blood. But he was on his feet soon after. Next on the ground was Hikaru, she was back on her feet quickly rejoining the fight. Sorami was a hardened fighter, and also brainwashed so she barely felt any of this they didn't know what to do about her, they might just end up killing her, and have to search for a new digidestined to take up the mantle of friendship.

Huang watched as they fought, he digichip he had just gotten back wasn't even reacting to him, it was like it was angry for letting someone take it from him, he pleaded with it to please work, he needed to help the other digidestined, make his digimon partner digivolve to mega just like everyone else's. Please we need you to hope again, said a voice in his mind, it was Lorrimon, she was beckoning to him. At that moment images of his two brothers, and him being reunited with them, those images filled him with a renewed hope, and the digichip glowed, and the symbol of hope emblazoned the sky. And Huang and Babydmon were encased in glowing spheres, and when those Babydmon was now Slayerdramon, he joined the fight with Fulgoramon, and Huang joined the other digidestined against Sorami.

"Traitors all of you, You don't deserve to be digidestined, you can't even defeat little old me, You should have been trained from child for this honor, Two princesses, one Princes, a wandering vagabond, a whining little pointless no one" Sorami laughed as she spoke, clearly not in her right mind. "My Father and I are the only ones worthy of this power, and destiny"

"This isn't working, even if we do over power her via out numbering her, and her partner, she still out matches all in skill, even in her addled state she knows this" Mikuni said, withdrawing from the fight with, and dragging Huang back with her.

Apollomon sent spheres of fire at Fulgoramon, but they met with lightning and exploded in Midflight, Dianamon unleashed arrows of ice, which shared the same fate, things had to end soon if they wanted to save Sorami, what she was being forced to do was killing from inside out, they might end up having to kill her anyways since she might not be able to be saved at all.

"We need to break her perfect sync, the stress of that might break the mind control, but the problem is how that will be possible" Mikuni said, gesturing towards Sorami "we could try to reason with her, but that's kind of risky, I'll try in the name of justice, you will help me get her attention" she blew whistle and got Sorami's attention.

"You saved me once, when I was being twisted by the fake digichip you help me recover my sanity, you know me how can you say I am a traitor. The Kurokami brigade killed my parents, how can you say I am siding with them?" Huang shouted, at Sorami "Now you are trying to kill me for something you know I wouldn't do?"

Sorami tilted her head quizzically, she weaved through the other digidestined like they were nothing, she was standing in front of Huang "I am surprised about that too, " she said, circling him like a predator looking at its prey "But didn't one of them rescue your brothers, and indoctrinated into the fold?"

"No, she left the Kurokami brigade, because she believe that they had lost their way, and have gone too far, you knew this you were there?" Huang said, in a matter of fact tone of voice, and he was right Soram8i had been there for that.

Even though Sorami had stopped fighting momentarily, her digimon partner was still fighting with the other digidestined digimon. And they weren't having much luck dealing much damage to her, she had the battle skills of a hardened warrior, as she should be she had been trained as a guardian for years like Sorami. Even though Mikuni had the training, she was slightly off from Sorami's skill.

"You can't see good or bad if it was staring you right in the face" Mikuni said, taking a place at Huang's side "None of us have shown any inclinations of being on the side of the Kurokami brigade, other than the ones Paradigm shift fed into your skull"

"Please come to your senses, before what they have done to you kills you" Hikaru, said joining them in confronting Sorami.

"IF you can't stop her, she needs, you might have to kill her" Virgil said, making the scene, he was panting "if not stopped here she would bring devastation" even though he was giving them information they already knew.

Some of what Virgil said echoed in her mind, and briefly she was in a cave, running her hands across a wall, she was tracing her way somewhere, and then standing in front of her was her younger self. Everything was in a bright haze, as she made her way down the tunnel.

"You need to listen to them, please, you are seeing through the fog of falsehoods" The Younger Sorami said, appearing once again, but slight deformed, the brain washing was taking its toll on the subconscious image of her child self.

Sorami shook herself to the present "Nice try traitors" she said, raising her hand to punch Mikuni but Huang stepped in between them. Again Sorami was in that tunnel, making her way through it, tracing her hand across its wall. Again she snapped back to reality she started laughing like a hyena. She backhands Huang across the face, leaving a throbbing bruise on his cheek, she went to do it again but Mikuni caught it. Takajin, and Hikaru grabbed hold of it too.

"We shouldn't be fighting we are friends, or we should be, if you snap out of this now" Hikaru said, nodding toward everyone else there.

Sorami started crying, and collapsed to her knees at the same time Fulgoramon dedigivolved into Impmon. Hikaru dropped to her knees too and hugged her tightly. Her perfect sync had been broken.

At this moment Tajiri arrived, and he stood over his daughter, and offered his hand, and Sorami took it "Friendship is a beautiful thing, " he said "most of the digidestined have been gathered now it's time to defeat Lilithmon once again for all, " he then gestured to each of them "Hope, Love, Courage, friendship, curiosity, reliability, and Light"

"And it's about time, I never thought I would see this day, hopefully Paradigm shift doesn't get in the way, who knows whose side they are on" Virgil said, exasperated

At this moment Sorami's eyes widened, as memories flooded into her mind, she back away from the others. She was now standing in the middle of the Guardian sanctum, she was getting ready to leave to meet up with her fellow digidestined, something suddenly caught her attention from the corner of her eye, and it was the boy from primary village. She turned to face him, and he took off, she gave chase, going down, going down alleyways and corridors, how he got there was a complete mystery, which she would find out when she caught him. But out of nowhere he ducked down a street and seemingly vanished. She looked around, searching the area for anything, she caught sight of an entrance like the one in primary village. She poked her head in and looked around seeing the exact same tunnel system, her digimon partner caught up to her, Impmon looked at the tunnel entrance and shook her head.

"We should get back up" Impmon said, she didn't like the looks of this.

Sorami ignored her and entered the tunnel, once inside she noticed the carvings on the wall, this tunnel was older than the ones at Primary Village, this most of have been where the Nazar order must have taken refuge, she traced her hands across the wall, she followed them since it was directions in Lilithian script, she followed it the main chamber, where she heard voices. One of them was Donica, she was trying to make out the other. She peeked and saw the mask of the one talking to Donica. She clearly heard Donica call the person Abaddon, the person was taking the mask off, under the mask was Tajiri Kamiya, her father. At this moment the world went back, someone had hit her across the back of the head, before her world went black her father said, too bad she saw this she needs to die now.

"Are you ok daughter?" Tajiri said, snapping Sorami back to present.

"I am fine" Sorami lied, trying to not look at her father, with confusion, she didn't know why her father tried to send her to her death. She was going to get answers soon as they got him, after hopefully defeating Lilithmon. That's when she noticed she couldn't move, she looked at the others and they were having the same problem.

"What is going on here, I can't move" Takajin said, trying to make sense of what was happening, and failing. He suddenly pulled his digichip out of his digivice, he saw everyone else do the same.

Standing in front of them all was Lilithmon, she had a glowing sphere in her hand, in that sphere was the symbol for the digichip of purity, it pulsed in the palm of her hand, and it had stopped everyone dead in their tracks.
