Making its presences known in the cloud filled, like a knife that had been stabbed into the sky itself, The Infinite Citadel was an ominous, and foreboding structure, it floated over a gigantic precipice, which had once been the Vale of Lilithia, which half of it seemingly destroyed years ago. Pieces of land clung to the purple and black tower, like rock tumors. Standing outside one of the tower were almost all the current members of the Kurokami Brigade, with a chorus of chattering and questions they stood there waiting for something, The front door opened, and out stepped Ankou, standing beside him was Karone, even though the voices of Ankou, stopped talking for him, She still followed him wherever he went. The chattering stopped and everyone's attention was turned toward Ankou. Lilithmon was notably not there, Ankou never usually left her side.

"Today is the beginning of rebirth, Lilithmon has went out herself to get what is needed, to perform the annulment, getting the final stone, and her virtues" Karone said, after looking toward, who whispered to her something, before she spoke.

"Those twisted children, will soon be punished for turning against our beloved great old one" Ankou said, raising his left hand into the air in a grand gesture. Then ran his index and thumb over the symbol on his mask.

This caused them all in front of him to cheer loudly, except one cloaked person, standing very quietly, and made their way through the crowd, till they were in front of Ankou "Please stop this" they shouted, getting the attention of Ankou, the person threw back their hood revealing Scythe, a former member of the Kurokami Brigade.

"How dare you show…?" Karone began to say, but was waved off by Ankou.

"My voice Karone is right, how dare you show yourself here, after you walked away from this order, that makes you our enemy, but I could see to forgiving you if you returned to our fold?" Ankou said, going into almost pleading gesture. "You were like a daughter to me"

"Don't you see something wrong with Lilithmon, you once told me stories of how much she cared about this world and everyone on it, I have come to lately question her reasons for trying to annul the world" Scythe said, her turning blue showing she was sad.

"The world is falling to ruin, you have noticed that the world is rotting, the Ouroboros is eating at the world, people are rotting echoes of what they once were before Lilithmon's fall, and even higher rise is too late for them to recover" Ankou said, while clenching his right hand into a fist.

"You are wrong, the world started recovering, because the virtues she gave the world still exist, and now they heal the world when they are in perfect sync, with their wielder" Scythe said, her hair turning flame red, showing her anger and determination. She leapt forward and grabbed an Ankou's fist, and held it between her hands. She looked into his eyes, emotion finally registering on her face.

Before Ankou could speak, Karone instead spoke up, as she craned her neck to the side, with a disappointed look on her face "Do you really want to listen to this one, Lilithmon's love, is the reason she wants to annul the world, can't believe she of all people would say it wasn't" she said letting out a laugh.

"Karone, we use to be friends, now I don't even know you, since the day you became a voice of Ankou" Scythe said, hair changing again to show her mood, which was sadness toward her former friend.

"The bowels of the citadel showed me the truth on those trials, you chickened when it was your turn to join the voices of Ankou, journeying into the center of the citadel" Karone said, looking at scythe unsympathetically "I was reborn to serve my master"

"Take her away, I don't want to hear any more of her nonsense" Ankou said, before Scythe had a chance to respond to what Karone had said. Among those who dragged her off was Migoku, him recognizable by his signature eye patch, that hid his damaged beyond repair eye. When they threw her into the cell and locked it, the only one who didn't leave was him. He stared sympathetically with his one good eye, wordlessly.

"I never thought I would ever question your loyalty, or even my own, but lately I hearing Ankou finally speak has me wonder about his sanity, I was so focused on revenge for both my eye and Lilithmon before that" Migoku said, running his hand over his eye patch "I also question my own sanity for doubting Lilithmon's love, and seeing your betrayal makes me sick" he stormed off before Scythe could respond to what he said.

Digimon Sync Episode 51 "Under Her Spell!"

Suddenly the digidestined couldn't move, their left hand started moving on its own, like it had a mind of its only reaching into each of their pockets, pulling out their digichip, then holding it out like they were presenting it to someone. They didn't notice Lilithmon's arrival, she was standing there with a pulsing light in her hand in the shape of the digichip of purity.

"I am strong enough to connect with this digichip, and in turn connect with the rest of them, I can't get them by asking, I know you wouldn't just give them to me, I'll just force you to give them to me" Lilithmon said, expression now a fake smile with no feeling what so ever behind it. She began walking in a circle pattern around all the digidestined "Which one of these things is not like the others, which one of these things just doesn't belong" She suddenly waved her hand, so they all could speak.

"Please come back to us Juniko!" Hikaru shouted, at Lilithmon as soon as she was able to talk. She pleaded with her to be her friend again, a childhood friend that once protected her brother.

"There was never anyone by that name, I was always Lilithmon, Juniko was just a cover personality that fades when I fully awakened" Lilithmon said, without even a second of hesitation.

"That's not true, you saved me when I fell through the barrier, when that wild digimon was about to kill me" Hikaru shouted, hoping the memory brought her friend back.

There was still no expression change from Lilithmon, she did not react at all, then there was a fake look of sympathy "Poor, Poor, little girl, what a fool you are, I rescued you because you were a potential digidestined, and I wanted to know where some of them were going to end up" She ran her hand through Hikaru's hair, then turned away from her.

Takajin was about to speak up, when Huang spoke up instead "You saved me from the darkness in my heart, you convinced me that revenge was not always the answer" he said, giving a determined look towards Lilithmon. "I briefly forgot that lesson, but now I believe it fully"

Lilithmon ran her hand across Huang's cheek, gave a hollow chuckle, and then waited to see if anyone else spoke. She continued to circle the digidestined like a predator stalking its prey.

"You know what, you have no control over me" Tajiri said, as GuardiAngemon seemingly materialized behind Lilithmon, and he himself broke out from the line of paralyzed digidestined, and charged towards Lilithmon. He was putting all his rage into this coming attack, if his chest had been a cannon, he would have shot his heart upon Lilithmon, taking her out with his final breath. But as soon as he got within a foot of her, a sensation of the rug being yanked from under overwhelmed, it was like trying to walk through wet cement. This wasn't the first time this had happened, was it Lilithmon that was doing this time and was her that did this before, right before he had been captured. His digimon partner was having trouble moving too.

Virgil stood frozen, even though he too wasn't effective since he wasn't a digidestined, but he was still scared, he didn't have the power to make any difference, but maybe he could be a distraction to Lilithmon. He just had to wait for his moment to do something that hopefully didn't get him killed on the spot.

-Infinite Citadel dungeon-

A secret passage way opened, and out stepped a girl in a cloak, who walked over quietly to the cell, and pulled back her hood to reveal Echo, and her visible scar across the bridge of her nose that "Why didn't we head to Digitopia, instead of dragging me here with you?" She asked, confused at her foster mother's action.

"I was hoping Ankou could have been reasoned with, he knew how Lilithmon was before the days leading to her fall, reminding him of that would snap some sense into him" Scythe said, looking downcast to the floor.

"Ankou is too far gone, for that to even work, he has let his hatred of life cloud his judgment, having Karone's voice in his ear doesn't help either" Echo said, her voice, sounding way beyond her years. She had seen a lot for someone her age, being a cursed one didn't help either, people try to kill you if you don't have a digimon partner. She went to unlock Scythe's cell, but the sound voices in the hallway had her retreating into the secret passage.

Ankou appeared at the door, followed by his voices, including Karone, she had a cruel smile on her face as she stood at his side "I am giving you one last chance to come back to the fold, and embrace Lilithmon's love" he said, not even muffled by the mask he wore with the blackened blood streaks on it.

"I have already embraced her love, the real Lilithmon, not this walking shell that wants to end is all, I have been to a place that showed me the real, the one that you use to give me books about" Scythe said, her hair turning into a color that symbolized pleading and desperation.

"She changed to rain her vengeance on the people, either rejoin us so you can help hand out her judgment toward her twisted children, taking them back and making them pure" Ankou said "The world is shaking, the sky is falling down, We all must fight"

Scythe looked downcast, her expression still the same blank as usual, but her hair turned the color of sadness "The world doesn't have to be annulled, it can be healed without doing so, if you continue to follow this Lilithmon, she will take you down with her this time" she said, dropping to her knees.

"I never in a million years would have thought you would have turned against us like this, when she annuls the world, I'll make sure won't be among those that like us faithful followers, you are a twisted children, and no longer worthy of your name that I gave you, you are now Kaoru again, and you will rot here for the rest of your life when the world ends" he said without sympathy.

"I have failed to convince you with reason" Scythe said, as she looked directly at were Ankou Eyes should be, as her hair turned red showing her fury "I'll accept being Kaoru again, because you are not the same man I use to love like a father, the one who rescued me when the guardians killed my family!"

There was an almost inaudible gasp from Ankou, He was taken off guard by the statement that Kaoru had just said, which made him stumble a bit before he talked "be that way, you just confirmed that I should have let you die a long time ago" he said, before turning and leaving in a hasty manner. Followed shortly by those who had come in with him, except Karone, who walked towards Kaoru's cell.

"Lilithmon is life, and her love is forever!" Karone said, placing her hand on a wall near the cell, and looked like something was talking to her. "You use to believe this like me" without letting Kaoru respond, she turned and left running to catch up with Ankou.

Once they were gone, the wall opened again, and out came Echo, "I didn't think that would work, and I told you it wouldn't I thought you had more common sense to believe it would, like I said before he is too far gone" Echo said, giving Kaoru an expression of I told you so.

"There was definitely a reaction from, I hope it means what I think it does" Kaoru said, her hair turning a shade of light blue.

-Suzubuya Encampment at Digitopia-

Kizuguchi stood over the lifeless body of King Daisuke Suzubuya, he watched as Akira, the prince still latched onto it, like it would bring his father back to life, he was dead and would never return, but it had been said that people do return with a new life as either a human or a digimon. The prince just repeated over and over that he didn't actually want this and they should have taken him instead.

"Your father is beyond the door, and won't likely be returning at least not as the same person, now let go of him, he wouldn't want you to mourn him because he is dead and dead should not be looked back upon with grief only with fond memories" Kizuguchi said, Offering Akira his real hand.

Akira finally let go of his father's corpse, and took his uncle's hand, it seemed like the prince had become a new person "I no longer want the throne, my sister can have it" he said wiping the tears from his eyes.

"I don't think she wants it either" Kizuguchi said, pulling up Akira, who didn't seem very much surprised at what his uncle just said. "She is a champion of justice and will always be The Blackavar"

"I was starting to think that was her, but couldn't see it until now" Akira said, smiling a heartfelt grin "I need to find my own destiny outside the kingdom, maybe I'll look for those sages I heard so much about"

-Elsewhere in the encampment-

Now Lilithmon stood in front of Sorami, and reached down and took her digichip, Sorami screamed in pain. Lilithmon put it with the digichip of purity, she walked slowly towards Mikuni. "Thanks for your help in purifying this world, " she said, as she walked slowly. Hikaru pleaded as Lilithmon took the digichip from Mikuni as well, none of them could do anything to stop, she would take it from all of them, and then she would end the world. Starmon launched forward in a pointless attempt to stop Lilithmon and was swatted away like he had been nothing, even though the first attempt had been pointless Starmon tried again, and then again, he wouldn't give up, he had to stop her no matter what.

"Stop it Starmon!" Virgil shouted at his digimon partner, "We are not digidestined, you can't stop her, even if we were she would freeze us like the others"

Starmon just ignored his human partner and continued to charge at Lilithmon, he didn't care, he would take her down no matter what, to save his new friends, Sunmon, Moonmon, Biyomon, Lopmon, Babydmon, and even Impmon. And taking those chips from the digidestined clearly hurt them, and no one hurts his friends, he was still wondering how she had stopped them in the first by using another digichip.

"Stop it now" Virgil pleaded with his digimon once again, he loved his digimon partner, and didn't want him to die pointlessly, but knew he wouldn't get Starmon to stop, no matter how he pleaded with his partner, it would not stop him, and he would have to die for that to happen.

Lilithmon despite the barrage of pointless attacks from, continued towards each digidestined, next in line was Huang, who had just got his digichip back, and she was going to take that away from him not caring how much hell he went through before he got his back, she did now care. When she reached him, he winced as her hand descended toward his own palm where the digichip sat. She took it and began the walk towards Hikaru.

Starmon started gasping audibly, he was starting to get exhausted from doing these constant attacks, but he wasn't going to stop, even though it was pointless.

Those who had just had their digichip taken away, couldn't stop screaming in point it had been like a piece of them was being ripped away brutally, and they farther it went from them the more the pain seem to intensify, the first person she had taken it from eyes were now rolling back into their head making them look pure white, a site that wasn't for the weak of heart and making those who hadn't had theirs taken away yet. Except Tajiri, who was still trying to move, he very much wanted to rip out Lilithmon's heart, he didn't seem to care if his daughter was in pain. She had reached Hikaru, she emotionlessly reached down, while smiling her fake smile, and took her digichip, causing Hikaru to scream too, the air was a cacophony of pained shrieks, Huang fought against the pain and wondered why he hadn't felt like this when he digichip was taken away the first time.

Starmon dropped to his knees momentarily, he coughed from total exhaustion, he struggled to get up, there was still some strength in him, and he would fight to his last breath if he had to. But nothing he would do could stop her, as she made her way towards Takajin now.

Sunmon growled and spat fire at Lilithmon, he couldn't move, but he could still send out flames, but little to know effect, he wished that hadn't dedigivolved when this whole situation started, since the fire didn't even burn Lilithmon at all, maybe it would have if he had been Apollomon. Lilithmon now reached down and was about to take Takajin's digichip.

"Stop it sister!" A voice shouted, from behind Lilithmon, a pleading voice, it was the voice of Lorrimon.

Lilithmon turned to face that voice, and came face to face with what appeared to be Thania, but she lost the stupid way of talking and outfit changed to something that glowed, her hair was turning bright red "One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong" Lilithmon said, melodically "didn't you promise that you wouldn't help any against me or for me"

"But I haven't used my powers, I used yours, and I did use my mind to make this digichip mine, again, but that was before I made that promise so it doesn't count, I didn't use my powers to help anyone I gave advice only, and words of encouragement" Lorrimon said, pulling out her digichip "I will never fight my sister, so I relinquish this digichip, to someone who can, and I know will do the right thing, I observed and know he is the right person to take up this virtue, and it has absorbed enough of my aura over the years to not be controllable by you"

The digichip shot away from Lorrimon, and formed the symbol of curiosity over Virgil's head, he looked up with awe, at its glowing presence over him, and the digichip appeared in his hand, and he and his digimon partner were enveloped in spheres of light. When they dissipated Starmon had digivolved into Justimon. Virgil had Justimon's scarf, and a metal tinge to his skin. Justimon and Virgil hit the ground with what appeared to be shared accel arms, showing they were perfect sync right out of the box, the shockwave shoved Lilithmon backwards, but not that far, she still was on her feet. It knocked one of the digichips out of her hand. He did it again, but it only moved Lilithmon one step back this time, because she was prepared for it this time. Justimon and Virgil charged at Lilithmon and both kicked her at the same time it drove her back a few feet, but she remained on her feet, and those didn't even hurt her, they were just stunning her preventing her from attacking.

"One digidestined versus me, you can't expect, that to kill me?" Lilithmon asked, with a mocking expression on her face.

"Only meant to distract you, after you lost the digichip you were using to control the digidestined giving them enough" Lorrimon said, gesturing to Takajin, and those she hadn't taken a digichip from, even Tajiri seemed to be able to move now "Run Sister!"

Lilithmon look around "This isn't over, picking up the digichip of purity, and then was enveloped in a flower, which disappeared.

"Stop her, she has enough digichips to open the door of endings!" Tajiri shouted, charging the flower and going through as it vanished. "I had her before what the hell stopped"

"It was my power you were using, so I did because of my promise" Lorrimon said, turning her back to Tajiri.

"I am going to kill you!" Tajiri shouted, pretty much frothing at the mouth with rage as he charged at Lorrimon, only to have Justimon and Virgil to step in his path. And they began to clash in front of her.

"My order might be pacifist, but we did train in how to defend ourselves" Virgil said, as he countered every single attack from Tajiri, it didn't help his attacker that they were enraged while attacking, which impaired their thoughts, and gave Virgil the advantage.

When Tajiri calmed down, he turned away "I have to find Lilithmon and kill her before she can open that door!" He ran off instead of continuing his attempt on Lorrimon's life, but he will eventually get back to that some day after he kills her sister.

Gather around digidestined, I have a story you must hear it will answer very much all your questions" Lorrimon said, gesturing to the digidestined that were still there "Things aren't as bad as you think" they only stared at her not believing this was the same person they had just been traveling, the odd speaking girl they thought they knew as Thania Kole.
