Those who do not listen could repeat these dark times, and sorrows above all imagining. You truly don't know your destiny, the one that seeks you out when you least expect it, and changes everything you know. It's an elegant truth in existence, or it's just fate.

-Over Hundred years ago-

There she was the most beautiful thing, he had ever seen, her radiant eyes looking over at him, Ankou's heart skipped a beat, as she made her way toward him, He had a problem talking, everything he said just come out as a mumble, and he couldn't make actual words come out of his mouth. It was like she glided towards him, until she was standing right in front of him with the most heartwarming smile on her face, she kissed him on the cheek, and her lips were soft and warm. Ankou pulse raced even more as her lips touched his cheek, this was the best thing that ever happened to him. Was this love he felt, he didn't know, he had never experienced this before with anyone, Enna once had a crush on him, but he hadn't felt the same way, but how could he have known, but this was a feeling that made him feel all warm inside, though it wasn't a good time to give in to this feeling yet.

-A Year later-

"She stepped over the line, she is no great old one, just a digimon that wants to kill us all, why should I spare her" Soichiro said, slamming his clenched fist into Ankou's gut, knocking the wind out of his former friend's lungs. Then Soichiro was picked up by Seraphimon, and then they charged. She sent more attacks to defend herself, but they were weak since she hadn't recovered enough from the coma she had awakened from. A blade extended from Seraphimon's wrist, and it connected with Lilithmon's side, causing her collapse into a heap, as Ankou screamed no, and ran towards her as she fell, the door slammed shut as her face came crashing to the floor. The room changed back into the room with the annulment stones

"You no longer deserve that Digi chip" Soichiro said, picking up Ankou's chip, and throws it to the ground "you are a traitor and I'll make sure everyone knows that, if I ever see your face again, I'll kill you where you stand, " he turn to the remaining digidestined, leaving Ankou alone cradling the broken and dying Lilithmon, one of her hands clasped between both of his. "We will hunt down anyone that worships to false old one"

"Before I die take my animus, it's my life's core!" Lilithmon said, struggling with each word, a glowing orb that looks similar to the one they had used to be able to defeat Ikelosmon, and Ankou took it cradling it carefully in his hands. "I'll return, please continue until then," she then vaporized into glowering specks, and flew into the sky, leaving a now crying Ankou hugging the animus with it going inside of him, his eye color slightly fading, the power from Lilithmon's animus being inside him.

-Months Later-

He returned to Lilithia, now a great chasm in the ground, where it had been, that went through the entire planet, even with the time that had passed, it felt like just yesterday, when he used to love, and that which was taken from him was an open wound in his heart. He was fine physically, but emotionally he was bleeding to death, it had been several months since he had spoken, and didn't even miss words as much as he missed Lilithmon, he used digignomes to reach the other half of the tower, and saw there had been massacred inside, rotting dead bodies of members of the order of Nazar. He picked up a mask that was streaked with blackened congealed blood, from a dead body, and wearing it himself. He made another vow that his true loves dying wish would be fulfilled. No matter if he died or whoever he had to kill in the process, the world would end, and he would help bring that about.

-Present day-

The first thing that came to Takajin's mind was how weird he felt, then the next one was where the heck was he, his mind was fuzzy, like a drunk must feel when suffering a hangover, clearing his mind, he looked, that's when he realized he wasn't alone, around him were people dressed in strange ancient garb, standing in the middle of them was Ankou, looking unaffected by the transition.

"This is the way I use to remember my home, and its people, soon the world will be reset, and this will be once again" Ankou said, he started walking towards a specific house. "I know how to get out of here, but I will never tell you, twisted child, you are stuck here till the annulment, I'll keep you here so the digidestined aren't at full strength, these people have been here too long they won't help, since they are more out of sync with reality, if that's what you are thinking" he finished and, started to run.

Takajin gave chase to Ankou, dodging people left and right, he was going to get Ankou to tell him where he could leave the null buffer, even if it killed him to do so. He needed to get back to the others so he could defeat Lilithmon, because without him, he didn't know if they could, the legendary digidestined weren't all there when Lilithmon was defeated the first time, but she had managed to return, maybe that was why. He wondered where Ankou was going, or this was only a delaying ploy to distract him from seeking the exit himself or was he leading him somewhere they could fight.

Digimon Sync Episode 55 "The World According to Lilithmon"

Hikaru and Virgil managed to avoid the weird creatures, which Virgil had referred to as Kharons, what Hikaru had seen of them, they looked like black cloaked skeletons, he told her that he read about them, and said they were the antibodies of the null, he had forgotten completely about them, and the only way they could keep away from them is to keep moving, if you stopped moving they target, and take you, if you kept moving they have a hard time seeing you, but it was only time till you clear up to them and then you would be in serious trouble.

"How big is this null?" Hikaru said, wondering how far she was going to have to run, and hoping the others would be able to get through, without one of those Kharons getting them instead.

"As big as how much is in the buffer, which is the size of how much of the planet, it took as it went through, and it took quite a chunk of this world so I don't know, when we get to the edge of this we should stop and wait for the others to show up" Virgil said, thinking about Mikuni, Huang, Leoben, and Sorami. He halted Hikaru and listened, but then continued with her following closely.

"What was that?" Hikaru asked, confused, as she tried to hear something herself, and couldn't hear anything other than her and his breathing.

"I thought I heard something, but it was nothing I hope" Virgil said, as he thought about the noise he had heard, and hoped she was right and it was actually nothing, and Kharons hadn't found them yet.

That's when a spike lodged itself in the ground in front of them, "You are going no further digidestined" shouted a voice behind them, Migoku stepped out of nowhere, and he was wearing a weird looking talisman. "Even though I don't completely agree with things I'll not let you near Lilithmon" CannonBeemon appeared above him

Sorami landed between Migoku, and Hikaru and Virgil "These aren't the Digidestined, you are looking for!" She said, with a smirk on her face. "Here I am," she turned "Virgil, Hikaru, Run I'll take care of this" she turned back to Migoku who was watching Hikaru and Virgil "both eyes on me, oops I mean eye" as she watched his face turn beat red.

"I so want to make you pay for taking my eye" Migoku said, running his hand over his eye patch, "I feel sorry for you no Digi chip, and a rookie digimon, how are you going to face me?" He started laughing.

"I was told a power given cannot be taken away, the chip enhanced the power within, I am the wielder of the virtue of friendship" Sorami said, pulling out her digichip. She and her digimon were enveloped by golden spheres, when the dissipated, Sorami was on the shoulder of Fulgoramon, lightning striking the ground where she stood.

Migoku takes something from his pocket, and puts it in his mouth, a grin forming on his face after swallowing it, CannonBeemon digivolved into TigerVespamon.

Sorami stood there not showing that she was phased by this at all, she raised her hand, and gave a gesture that meant to bring it on. And TigerVespamon did exactly that, and he now clashed with Fulgoramon, it looked like they were evenly matched, till Sorami raised her hand in the air and gave a thumbs down gesture, and Fulgoramon grabbed her opponent by the throat, and sending several volts of electricity into it, TigerVespamon slumped, and fell face first to the ground dedigivolving to his rookie form.

"I am sorry I took your eye, but get over it, You were killing innocent people chasing after a digichip that wasn't yours to begin with, I would kill you, but there's no time for that, and I have enough blood on my family's hands, to add more to it" Sorami said, being lower to the ground by her digimon, she walks up to Migoku, and swiftly kicks him between the legs, making him crumple to the ground screaming in pain, and she knocks him out with a kick to the face.

"We need to get out of here" Hikaru said, gesturing for Sorami to follow her, and Virgil, they had returned to check in on their friend, before breaking into a sprint with the other two, as they were joined by Leoben and Huang.

-Perdition-

Ankou suddenly stopped, in front of a huge crater "This is where my life really ended, then I crawled along the wreckage of what now is gone, all taken away by a person that I once called friend, Lilithmon was right back then as she is now," he said, sounding like he was talking through gritted teeth, anger under toned by a sadness "Love is one of the most power of the virtues, but all love has gone from this world"

"Tell me how to get out of here" Takajin said, nearly shouting at Ankou, as Apollomon landed behind him and Merukimon landing between them and Ankou.

"I'll take it to the world's end" Ankou said, without even turning around to face Takajin "You can fight me if you want but neither will of that will get you anything"

"I have to help my companions, they mean the world to me, I am digidestined, like you were before, I will convince you to give me the way out" Takajin said, placing his hand over his heart, looking at Ankou. Right before Apollomon charged up and fired a volley of flaming arrows at Merukimon, and then he ran towards Ankou to take him on himself. Merukimon dodged, and vanished appearing Apollomon, who dodged an attack from Merukimon, Apollomon sent spheres of light towards Merukimon, which were also dodged, and retaliated with an attack, which was also dodged, both digimon partners were very evenly match until their human counterparts. Ankou now had Takajin pinned once again to the ground.

"I had over century of training, you have not even a year, and you think you could actually be a challenge to me?" Ankou said, whispering into Takajin's ear. "You may not speak volumes, but your heart speaks novels" he then picked him, but shoved him unceremoniously, he landed at the feet of trapped in null, there was a momentary spark discharge from his digivice, before Ankou picked him up again, threw him to the ground. Takajin tumbled to the ground, with an audible grunt of pain, he knew that Ankou was toying around with him, he could have already killed him many times over, he was just delaying him for time, but why was he doing this when he was the only one that knew the way out of there, he could escape, and leave him trapped in the null, there was something else going on here. It was also weird seeing all these people around, and none of them reacting at all to this fight that was happening in the middle of their city.

"I know what you are wondering, and it will start happening to you too, you will lose yourself here, when things end. You won't even care" Ankou said, as he smirked under the mask.

-Elsewhere-

Lilithmon stood at the edge of an enormous forest, in this forest was a stairway to the door, on a platform, floating above her were all the annulment stones, their runes glowed with life, she was going to end everything soon, she would end its suffering, she walked into the forest, heading to where she would be needed. She was stopped when a face appeared in front of her, it was Kitsumon.

"Please see reason, my great old one, I will not fight you, but please hear me out" Kitsumon said, appearing fully in front of Lilithmon, "I have been on this world for a very long time, and I watched over humanity while you slept, and again when you were dead, before your reincarnation awoke to be you again. You aren't seeing this world right it's full of wonders, and people are worth saving, your sister didn't send me I came on my own accord, hopefully to make you see reason…" before she could continue something hit her, dropping her to the ground, and Karone stepped forward, looking down at Kitsumon who seemed to be in agony, Karone pulled the D-saber out of Kitsumon's back.

"Go on oh great Lilithmon, the door is waiting, I want to see this new world, I live only for you and the annulment" Karone said, bowing to Lilithmon before delivering a kick to Kitsumon stomach. As Lilithmon just acted like nothing had happened, and continued on into the forest, her face the usual emotion blank,. "Don't interfere with the digidestined if they get this far," she said, as she vanished among the trees

"Noooo" Kitsumon screamed, before being cut off again, by a kick in the stomach from Karone, before the D-saber was stuck in her back again, causing her to scream with agony.

-The Null-

Hikaru, after meeting up with everyone else except Takajin and Tajiri, finally made it to what seemed like the end of the null ahead of them was an enormous decaying forest wasteland, all the trees seemed dead and withering, and cracking, like all the life had been sucked dry a long time ago, this was the forest that supposed to take on aspects of Lilithmon, looking at it made them all feel saddened by its appearance. The forest was so ominous they wondered, each part of the Crucible was dangerous in some way, what was it going to be here, were the trees going to come to life and try to kill them.

"Should we wait for Takajin?" Hikaru asked, looking at everyone else "I feel it in my heart that he isn't dead"

"He's trapped in the null, he might as well be dead since he cannot escape it, there is no way out" Virgil said, trying not to be blunt, but failing, he knew from all the stuff he had read there was no escaping the null.

"He will find a way I know my brother, he will be there for the final battle against Lilithmon, and no matter what, I won't believe he's gone forever" Hikaru said, placing her hand over her heart, as a forest came into view in front of them.

"No matter if he's gone or not, we have a great old one to stop, she cannot go through that door" Mikuni said, clinching her right into a fist. "Too Takajin may he join us to defeat Lilithmon!" As she entered the forest followed by the others, leaving Migoku slouched over the first tree.

The forest was dreary, dark, and gave them all the chill, they all kept their eyes open for any movement, if the forest was alive and wanted them dead, the paranoid didn't help their moods in the slights, it filled them with dread and angst, like sinking a forest of sadness, and despair. Emotions ran high the further they went in. Even shadows looked like hands reaching out to strangle each of them, and color seemed to be fading from the world. Leoben dropped, and started shivering like crazy, the forest had a hold on him, and was going to take him.

Hikaru dropped to face level with Leoben, the boy was covering her hands with panic sweat, but she pulled the young boy into a hug "please be calm, we need to be strong together, even I feel the pull of this forest of sadness" she said, as he nodded, and tried to compose himself. Taking every ounce of strength he had to do so, digging deep within himself, he got back to his feet. He and Hikaru ran to catch up with the others.

It seemed to get worse from there, the despair seemed to permeate even the air they breathed, it was like inhaling their worst fears, like a cold hand reaching down their throats and squeezing their hearts, they had to tough it out no matter what, they had to reach Lilithmon, even though how soul crushing this place was. Because time was running out, and they had no time to spare.

"No matter what, gets in our way, we will get to the door, and stop Lilithmon from going through it, you said there's a portal up there, that's one way. If, we will push her through it like you said we should" Hikaru said, looking ahead as they traversed further into the forest.

-Perdition-

It was like the world was beginning to spin, up was down and vice versa, everything also appeared to be slowing down, and he dropped to his knees. And he did not know what to do, his mind was going haywire, now he was surrounded by 25 Ankous all of them laughing at him.

"You are feeling it now, your mind is going, soon you will join the rest of them, in the forever that is perdition, before Lilithmon ends us, I know she will bring me back, I know you will be gone for good, any twisted child, that's against her will vanish, the people of Lilithia still love her, and they will be brought back" Ankou said, running his right hand over his mask, underneath he was clearly smiling.

Takajin fought to stand up, trying to pull his senses into focus, he needed to regain himself, he couldn't let this place drag away who he was, everything would be lost if he let that happen, his friends needed, everyone needed him, he was a digidestined, he fought until he was fully standing, even though it was on wobbly legs that felt like wet noodles. Which threatened to topple him again, he fought to remain standing. "I know losing herself isn't her fault, but she is gone, and what's left is a shell of the person you loved, she was my friend before she became that way again, I don't like having to consider destroying my friend, but she has to be stopped" he said, swimming his way through what seemed to him as a sea of Ankous, trying to make his way to the one that was real, hoping to talk him into letting him leave. It was like being in a surreal nightmare, and it was laughing at him. He didn't know what was real and what wasn't. He was losing himself again, and strength to walk too, he wobbled forward nearly falling face first to the ground, the Ankous surrounding started blending together, till all there were masks, this wasn't the way things should end, he was a hero, he needed to be strong, he needed to save the world, he fought that vision that tried to get him to kill himself before, he needed to fight this one too. His mind was going and he couldn't do anything about it. "What are you doing, you are losing yourself self again, fight damn you!" A familiar voice shouted at him, a hand reaching through from the void, he grabbed hold of it, as soon as he did, the world cleared up and Ankou was only one again, the person who had helped him was gone, whoever that was.

"What the heck…" Ankou said, sounding very confused, as Takajin, stood now resolute, and was charging toward him, and was interrupted by a fist driving the air out of his lungs, knocking him off his feet. He stood shakily "How did you shake off the effects, no one should be able to do that"

"My love gives me strength, which is my digichip, so it should be very obvious, now tell me how to get out of here now" Takajin said, running faster than Ankou could react too, since him and his digimon partner were in perfect sync, they both were clobbering both their opponents now, instead of just one of them. Ankou's mask was cracking more and more with each impact from Takajin. "Tell me where I have to go, to leave?"

"I will never tell, I rather die, than let you out of here, to join the others to stop my beloved Lilithmon" Ankou said, blood trickling down from the edge of his mask. Before Takajin was on top of him again, he was confused why his strength was leaving, it was like love was leaving his side.

"Tell me please, I don't want to do this anymore" Takajin said, grabbing Ankou by the scruff of the neck, the mask cracking some more.

"Stop it!" A voice shouted, which came from behind both Ankou and Takajin, causing them both to turn to see who it was, and standing there was a girl, grayish silver haired, and dressed like the specters around them, it was Enna Kamiya "Ankou what is going on here, why is this boy angry with you, did you do something stupid, just apologize to him?" She was a girl that seemingly stepped out of time, and for some reason she had been pulled forward, but she wasn't seeing Ankou like he was now, she was seeing him like he was back then.

Tears now flowed out from the edge of Ankou's mask, seeing his friend, that he hadn't seen in years was having its effect on him, he was crying, he dropped to his knees, and Enna ran toward, and crouched down to hug him "Are you real, is this a dream" he said, hugging her back.

"Yes, I am real, don't be silly, now apologize to the boy you upset" Enna said, turning and pointing at Takajin, "Now be the person I know and love, the one that wouldn't harm a fly"

Ankou nodded, in response, but before he could say anything, Enna was gone, leaving him alone with Takajin, she had rejoined the specters "I am sorry, and you are right, the Lilithmon I knew wouldn't have done this, I let myself get carried away by my selfishness instead of seeing the truth, I'll lead you to the exit, it's not that far from here" he struggled but managed to get to his feet, and headed away from the hole, with Takajin follow close behind. Appearing before them was what seemed to be one of Lilithmon's mirrors. But shaped like a door, which lead into a long white hallway, on the other side of this was another door, that show constantly changing scenery. None of it could be made out from their position "Here it is, now save the world, this might look like one of her mirrors, but it's not, it could take you anywhere in the tower. This could very well take you right back to the beginning at the Crucible labyrinth, if you don't jump through the second you have to, so becaref…" something interrupted him, shattering his mask completely, as he crumpled to the ground, standing in the distance was Tajiri and GuardiAngemon. His digimon partner picked him up and carried him over to where Takajin was standing.

"Glad to see you again, and you found the way out, let's go finish this thing together, it's Lilithmon's fault for starting it, and the people that are dying, the only way to save this world is for her to die" Tajiri said, offering his hand to Takajin to shake, to congratulate him for taking out Ankou.

"That wasn't needed, he saw the light, and was helping me, he figured out he was wrong, and we need to defeat Lilithmon" Takajin said. Looking down out at a prone Ankou on the ground, his white hair draping the pavement, stained partially red with blood.

"That's not the way I saw it, it looked like a trick, lead you to the way out, you lower your guard and he stabs you in the back with a D-saber" Tajiri said, side glancing the door.

"I am starting to think we don't have to kill Lilithmon, we could imprison her, she is not evil, and she is just not herself anymore" Takajin said, not noticing the expression Tajiri was giving him.

"Not you too, the others said the same thing, I don't need you, and if the rest of you get in my way I'll kill them all, Lilithmon has to die" Tajiri said, and charged toward Takajin, and before the boy could react, He drove his knee into his stomach, driving out all the breath is his lungs. Takajin collapsed to the ground, only to receive a kick to the face, knocking him backwards "My father warned me about people like you, you are a traitor like Ankou was over a hundred years ago, I disbanded the guardians for having the same opinion, I'll kill them after I am through with Lilithmon. But I'll leave you here forever instead!" He turned and walked through the mirror door, as now Takajin was crawling toward it, then Tajiri turned as his digimon partner joined him, GuardiAngemon turned too, but he sent a blast back in the direction he came from, and the mirror door shattered in front of Takajin, who stared in disbelief at what just happened.

-Forest-

In the distance they saw the door, and between them and the door was Lilithmon, she was way closer to it than they were, Hikaru broke into a sprint, followed by everyone else, but there was still no sign of Takajin. Forget about that now they needed to stop her before she goes through the door, and she was almost there.

Hikaru stopped and turned to the others, "Remember a power cannot be taken away, even though those who don't have their Digi chip, can still reach powers like they had before, you have seen this proven now do it yourselves" she said, punching the air in triumphant jubilation. As everyone ran past her doing the same thing, then she ran to catch up with them. They reached a clearing, and spotted Lilithmon, and she was almost the door itself, the annulment stones were already there,

Lilithmon placed the Digi chips she had stolen, on them, each stone lit up as each one was placed on them, once she placed all the ones she had a disembodied voice announced "D-Reaper protocol activated" and then she stopped, standing in front of the door, and started talking to no one.

-Elsewhere-

Lilithmon's image appeared in the sky "twisted children, your time is up, but too those who still believe in me, I'll bring you back in the new world" she said, her voice echoing across the land.

-Digitopa-

Yamato Maeda, he was sad to see, what he was seeing, a reminder of what his daughter ended up being, because of this revelation he had retired from active duty from the kings royal guard, he stood a broken man staring up at the sky. A fresh tear rolled its way down his cheek, he didn't know who to root, if the world ended, he wouldn't care, but his daughter Juniko wasn't his daughter, she was the being he told her stories about to scare her into behaving.

"Now the end begins" Lilithmon's image said, in the sky above, as it echoed all around, before vanishing into the dawn sky.

-Perdition-

"I am sorry you are stuck here" Ankou said, struggling to reach where Takajin was "Everything is up to your friends"

Takajin was now on his knees, still staring at where the mirror door had been, he had failed, he would not be able to help anyone where he was, all hope was lost, and he had to depend on the other digidestined to save the world like Ankou had just said. He looked downcast now, letting the perdition take him, he was through and would not fight anymore. That's when the voice he heard before called out to him, he looked up to see a hand reaching out from nowhere, it was calling out to him, but why couldn't he remember who that was, and why he trusted it completely. He reached toward it, and like he was crossing realities.

"What is that?" Ankou said, looking over to see an aurora of white, it shimmered as he saw Takajin touch, he had never seen anything like this in his over a hundred year lifetime, the only thing he could think it was, was it was a digital field. He watched at Takajin vanished into it.

-In front of the door-

As the door opened something shimmered in front of it, and Lilithmon was sent flying backwards, and Tajiri was standing in front of the door of endings. GuardiAngemon fires a t shaped blasts Lilithmon, knocking her even further.

"Do me a favor and just die, for the sake of humanity!" Tajiri said, looking back and forth from Lilithmon to his fellow digidestined "and if your children, with your naive ideas get in my way I'll destroy everything you care about, then I'll end each of your lives!"

"Stop, that's not what we are doing" Hikaru said, as she ran up to Tajiri, and stepped in his path, only to receive a backhanded slap across the face, knocking her backwards.

"I guess I am the only hero, I am the Soichiro of this story, you are all the Ankous, I won't let you get in my way from saving this world from her evil!" Tajiri said, as seethed with anger.

"Father, stop it, you have lost it!" Sorami said, as she now on the shoulder of her digimon partner, charged at GuardiAngemon to stop him, lightning lashing out to make him sidestep and stop his attack on Lilithmon. "Why did you send me out to kill the digidestined and die trying?"

"Because I knew you were weak, and not worthy of the Kamiya name, and you proved me right" Tajiri said, cursing, as he seethed with rage.

Huang pressed his digichip to his chest, summoning all the hope within him, thinking of his brothers, he wasn't going to help anyone kill someone who helped him so much, before they turned bad, he was going to help imprison Lilithmon, so the one he cared about could live. He and Babydmon were in gulped in spheres, he had to stop Tajiri. The rest of the digidestined did the same, and were enveloped in spheres too. When the spheres dissipated, they all converged on Tajiri.

"I'll show you, father!" Sorami said, as electricity lanced out from Fulgoramon, striking GuardiAngemon knocking him flying, but he recovered and landed, though Tajiri looked worse for wear, and getting angrier too.

Lilithmon was up again and was making her way toward the door as digidestined was distracted with Tajiri, she was somewhat injured, she wasn't at full power yet, soon as she passed, she would once again be herself. This world would be cleansed and a whole new one would replace it.

Tajiri noticed Lilithmon, he called out to his digimon partner, who managed to separate himself from the entanglement with the other digidestined digimon, "Time for you to die" he screamed as he was surrounded by the rest of the digidestined, GuardiAngemon dove down going for the death blow. A ball of fire hit him making him slam into the ground instead this knocked Lilithmon once again away from the shimmering door of endings, this impact brought about a cloud of smoke and dust, when it clears standing there was Takajin and Apollomon.

"Did I miss anything" Takajin said, looking over at Tajiri "Look man we are not killing Lilithmon, because who knows what would happen if she dies, I had time to think in perdition, we are stopping her by imprisoning her and that's final" he looked over at his sister Hikaru, she was smiling, she was so glad he was alive, that she wasn't paying attention to Tajiri, who slipped by her.

-20 Years ago-

Tajiri stood at his father's side, a child of 10 years of age, beside an over 90 year old Soichiro was a great hero, who he wanted to be exactly like when he grew, defeat a great evil like he did, he hoped Lilithmon would come back so he could destroy her "I want to be digidestined like you, and become a legend"

"You have great, I know you would succeed me, when I finally pass from this world, you are destined to be a great guardian someday" Soichiro said, placing his palm flat on his son's head, and ruffled his hair. "The digichip I wield has slowed my age, but my body is probably a few years, from its limit, I'll train you now to be my successor, to save this world!"

-Present day-

,"I am strong, real strong, none of you come close, to me, you are just worms, I can do this myself with the help of those" Tajiri said, pressing a button on his belt, which compartments on it slid open, revealing digichips, all the digichips except his own were represented in each one. They were the fakes that were made by his shadow organization Paradigm Shift, they all gave off an aura of darkness, a shrieking noise came from his pocket, he pulled out his digivice, it glowed and a light shot from it, which he caught, the light sounded like it was in pain, he took the ball of light and shoved into the empty compartment of the belt, it turned into the symbol of his virtue.

"What do you think that was, you are corrupting your digichip, which is causing it pain, it was leaving you" Virgil shouted, at Tajiri, with a contemptful look in his eyes. "Don't be so blind!"

"I don't care, as long as it gets me the power I need, because power is to be strong, and no one will stop me NO ONE!" Tajiri said, before the darkness engulfed him, and he and his digimon partner were enveloped in obsidian spheres, but instead the spheres melted into each other. Which knocked everyone off their feet, when it dissipated. "Behold Abaddonmon!" He now looked like a tarnished golden knight in dark locust carapace armor, with wings that dripped blood. His voice and his digimon's voice echo over each other, both voices were fighting to be the dominate one, but they were also distorted by each other too. The high pitch shriek of the digichip of light was still there, its agony growing with the longer this whole thing was going on. "Now get out of my way children, before I change my mind again and kill you all," he unsheathed a black sword, that looked like it was made from skeletal parts including teeth, it's hilt made from finger bones, he ascended into the air, bringing his weapon to bear on Lilithmon. But Takajin shoved Lilithmon out of its path, and it struck the ground instead.

"You will have to kill me first before I let you harm anyone, she doesn't deserve death, she will be punished, but not like this, you have gone too far" Takajin shouted, as Apollomon sent a volley of flame spheres at Abaddonmon, who just shrugged it off. But returned with his own attack, knocking him flying, he landed several feet.

"I am a new great old one, you cannot defeat me" Abaddonmon shouted, with all his bravado, picking up Takajin and flinging him across the room, and back first into a tree. Apollomon launched himself at Abaddonmon, but was floored instantly, then picked up and flung away too, like he was nothing. Fulgoramon lashed out at him with lightning, with no effect at all, he grabbed her by the leg and slammed her into the ground, blood spraying from her mouth, her digidestined partner screamed in pain, Huang's digimon shared the same fate, nothing was phasing Abaddonmon, and while the digidestined were fighting one of their own, Lilithmon had returned to her slow trek to the door, nothing was going to stop her from going through it. Thing were not looking good at all, and they were getting worse, as the events played out in front of the door of endings. "Away with you!" He shouted, and the digidestined and their digimon were knocked flying, he had a single minded obsession with killing Lilithmon and her moving toward the door again, got his attention.

"No you don't" Takajin said, getting back to his feet, and Apollomon doing the same, and they both grabbed and clung onto Abaddonmon.

"You have no chance of stopping and yet you keep trying, are you crazy" Abaddonmon said, as he grabbed Takajin and pulled him off him, he turned him so they were face to face, he squeezed his head between his forefingers, Takajin screamed as his eyes streamed bloody tears. He then chucked him like a rock, and his face bounced off the floor, like a stone skipping across water, leaving bloody face prints on the ground as he did so, Abaddonmon picked him up as he stopped bouncing, he turned to Apollomon who was in agony and on his knees, h couldn't get up even if he wanted to, he chucked him at his own digimon partner, knocking the wind out of him. He picked up Takajin again, slamming him face first into Apollomon's face. Takajin was unconscious, as Abaddonmon looked at his handy work, he showed the other digidestined this "This is going to be all of you" he then lobbed Takajin over his shoulder.

Takajin bounced off the floor again, flying past Lilithmon, she watch him go by her, something flash in her eyes as Takajin mangled form past her, and landed with a thud, this caused her to stop advancing toward the door, she just stared down at Takajin, then her expression changed from totally blank to that of one of complete rage "Hands off my boyfriend!" She screamed, and turned launching herself at Abaddonmon.

Hikaru ran toward her brother, and helped him up, they were standing, surrounded by all the annulment stones, everyone that had their digichip stolen retrieve theirs from each stone they were on "brother are you ok?" She said, not paying attention to the new fight that had just broken out between Lilithmon and Abaddonmon, which wasn't going well for Lilithmon, Abaddonmon chuckled as he pummeled her.

"Lilithmon has awakened to her true self again, and we need to help her" Takajin said, struggling with words, pointing in the direction of the fight. They nodded and pointed digichips at Lilithmon, beams of light shot towards her.

Lilithmon rose into the air, after being struck by the lights from the digivices, her attire changed color, from black and dark purple, to green and light purple, and wings spread from her back, her eyes turned a bright violet. "Lilithmon Awakened mode," she said, in a loving voice. The forest that looked like it had been drained of all its life, bloomed into a luscious landscape of green leaves. That's when Lorrimon appeared, and looked up at her sister, she cried tears of happiness, as Lilithmon glowed in the sky with such radiance and beauty, she was breathtaking to behold, she was back to being the great one of old, before the fall. Lilithmon looked down at Abaddonmon, a sympathetic expression, full of sadness, before launching into a dive toward him, and they clashed. Nazar nail, to sword, they went back and forth, then dodge and repeat, they fought in the sky causing shockwaves as they did so.

"You should have died years ago, when my father defeated you" Abaddonmon said, with seething rage, as he lashed out with his blade towards, which Lilithmon dodged and returned an attack with Nazar nail, which he dodged in return.

"Poor child, who has lost his way, I am so sorry that all I have done, has made you so twisted, I regret having made you become this way, and regret having to stop this way, but it's the only way" Lilithmon said, a tear flowing out of her right eye, this time a sincere emotion flowing from her.

"I regret nothing I am the Great old one of Absolution" Abaddonmon said, with complete disgust in his voice, right before lashing out once more at Lilithmon, who just side stepped it this time bringing around her Nazar nail. Abaddonmon dodged and came back with another attack, which was dodged.

"You are more like destruction, you can't seem to see that, I know I made my mistakes, but I wasn't myself for them, though that's not a good enough excuse, I'll redeem myself in the eyes of my children someday" Lilithmon said, wiping the tears from her eyes, she looked at the tears drip off her fingers and land on the ground, she had to stop Abaddonmon before she could let herself answer for what she had done to her people.

Lorrimon appeared where Takajin lay, barely alive himself, he hadn't been strong enough to help Lilithmon, with his virtue's energy, she leaned over and place her hand on the worst of his wounds, she wasn't going to do her best to help, she poured her light into his body, hopefully she wasn't too late, and he was dead, she knew she had promised, but this wasn't helping anyone that was fighting, she knew she was bending her past words, but this was her friend.

The action went on, with either one throwing attacks at either, causing everything to tremble in the wake of each hit that made contact or missed, as the rest of the digidestined, and those that joined them watched below, Abaddonmon's frustration grew, as he and Lilithmon seemed equally matched, he was seething more than ever had done in his whole life, he struck out with his sword, only to come to impact on an incoming Nazar nail once again, and then again, he was going to kill this monster no matter how long it took, saving the world as he did so.

"Killing me would end all life, if you did so, would you really want to do that?" Lilithmon asked, giving a wondering look towards Abaddonmon, while dodging one of his attacks "my death undoes existence"

"I don't care, if the world can't exist without you, then it shall not exist, I don't want a world with you in it" Abaddonmon said, speaking through gritted teeth, "I waited years for this day, I made so many sacrifices, to get the power to defeat you, if I am going to be the destruction of this world then so be it!"

-19 years ago-

"Tajiri, come here!" Soichiro shouted, gesturing for his son to come over, he was getting on in years, and couldn't make the trip himself, he waits till his son arrived "as guardian what is the first rule?"

"To kill Lilithmon and anyone who worships her insidious bosom, by tearing out their corrupted hearts, and crushing them under your feet, even if it takes till the end of my life or end of the world" A young Tajiri said, at least 11 years of age. "And remember every moment when you come face to face with its evil"

"That is good my son, remember to instill these virtues in the future of this family, and also a world without Lilithmon is a world that is pure and good" Soichiro said, ruffling Tajiri hair.

-Present day-

Abaddonmon smiled, lowering his sword in what appeared to be a gesture of surrender "I see that you a sincere in your emotions, that you aren't the same Lilithmon" he said, sticking his sword into the ground.

"I am glad you see reason, I was hoping you would" Lilithmon said, as she offered Tajiri her hand, to shake confirming his surrender, ending the fight finally. She walked toward him, he offered his hand in return, they shook hands, and she made the mistake of turning away from him, something struck her and there was a blade protruding from her stomach, she fell to the ground, bells everywhere started tolling, the nearly lifeless body of Lilithmon landed on the ground with an earth shattering bang that was probably heard all over the world and maybe even further.

"I see you are trying to do, unsettle me with your fake emotions, when don't feel a damn thing at all, just pretending to give a damn, you only made me angrier maybe that was your goal, its working, but the angrier I get, the more powerful I am, I am powered by my hatred for you," he screamed clearly having lost his mind, the fake digichips, having chipped away at his mental state, like they did to previous people that had been given them. His face a twisted mask of insanity, there was nothing left of the man once known as Tajiri Kamiya. Even though that man wasn't a picture of sanity anyway, those chips that he had made just brought out the worst in him. "Welcome to the end of the world!"

Takajin's eyes opened, and he started struggling to hold up his digivice to join in helping the others, Lorrimonhelped him lift his arm, to point his digivice at her sister who was currently dying. A beam of light formed into the symbol of love and shot towards Lilithmon, and she got up and launched herself into the air towards Abaddonmon, a sword forming in her hand, seemingly made from one of her leaves. It seemed that nothing happened when she passed by him.

"Why are you alive…?" Abaddonmon starting saying, but stopped in mid-sentence, as his face split in half, the split continue down his entire body, and he fell to the ground, as the split continue "I just wanted to save the world" he said as hit the ground, as he started to fizzle away, with sparks flowing towards the door. He turned back into Tajiri, who was disappearing in the same way, he raised his hand and looked at it, "I can see I was making a mistake, and you stopped me!" He finally was gone, his daughter crumpled to her knees, no matter if he had tried to kill her, he had been her father, and she would have loved him no matter what. "I am sorry, Tajiri Kamiya, I didn't want to do that" Lilithmon said, turning into a mist form of herself, another person appeared in the air, who slowly descended to the ground "She was the one who saved me, she might have been my reincarnation, but being away from my animus and growing up, she became her own being, I am giving you back Juniko Maeda, her emotions gave me back myself" she then waved her hand "I have also restored the Vale of Lilithia, and everyone that had been trapped in perdition"

Ankou appeared before the door, he once again crumpled to his knees, the mist form of Lilithmon flew towards him, and she helped him up, he looked her in the eyes, and tears flowed from them like a dam breaking, she embraced him with a hug "You are the way I remembered you, the love in your eyes, shining like the stars in the sky" he weakly smiled. His hands seeming very frail as he put them around her.

"It's time for you to die, finally, but we will see each other in another lifetime, because I cannot go where you are going" Lilithmon said, pulling Ankou into a loving kiss, her kiss seemed to remove the many years off his face, he had fought for this very moment, and it was the very one he dreamed of. He fell through the door as it opened behind him, Ankou turned to see his old friends, even Soichiro, who waved and smiled at him. Ankou joined them, he appeared to be young, right before the door shut again. Lilithmon turned to face Lorrimon now "Sister, I need to prove myself, before I take my place with you again, you have my powers, please guide my incarnation as she becomes princess of this vale, then someday maybe we will be one again, Juniko is destined to be a new being of life, for now I'll be her digimon partner" as she finished she turned into a digiegg, and hovered down with Juniko, they landed on the ground gently.

Takajin hobbled over to where, Juniko landed, and went to his knees to check if she was ok, but instead he was pulled into a kill by her, he flushed crimson red, and returned the kiss. He didn't know he had felt this way until now, she had been one of his dearest friends from childhood, but this even if he didn't know it was why he fought, her love had reached into perdition and pulled him out of it, and what had surged emotions into Lilithmon bringing her back to herself. He pulled away from the kiss when they were joined by the other digidestined in a hug. They were all happy to see Juniko again.

"Be careful you don't want to crack it" Juniko said, cradling her digiegg like a new born child, "Thank you" she kissed the egg. Before leaving with the others, through the exit that just opened in the tower, seeing that the tower had planted itself back in the middle of Lilithia, she stepped out into her new kingdom, not knowing if she would be able to handle her new role as a princess, but she was going to try her best. With Takajin's help she could do anything, she smiled as she was being hugged by all her old friends and new ones.

-Days later-

Almost everyone went back to their homes, but Sorami had relinquished her digichip, and joined Virgil's sages, she had talked remnants of the guardians, and Kurokami Brigade to join too, Huang has made his home in primary village moving in with the orphans, his brothers were happy to see him again, Mikuni went home to declare that she didn't want the throne, and set up a government with her brother as head counselor, who ruled in her place, while she continued to roam the streets at night as the Blackavar protecting Suzubuya Kingdom from the shadows.

Hikaru sat at home, looking at the starry night wondering how her brother was doing in Lilithia, him at him helping Juniko rule the 100 years displaced from time kingdom. She knew he would someday return to visit, she was getting use to not having either her brother or Juniko in the house they use to call home too, it was also hard getting used to being alone having had over a years' worth of adventures with the digidestined, defeating evil, bringing peace to the land. Maybe it's not over, most of them still had their digichips, including herself, their adventures could start over again, she hoped beyond hope, to see all her friends again.

Deep in the saw what looked like a tombstone shaped monument, baring a symbol of snake eating itself, lightning flash behind it, wind blow, animals, and wild digimon alike gave it a wide birth, that's when it cracked and everything within eye view of it scattered like there had been a massive explosive even if there wasn't actually one, dark energy sweep from the newly formed crack. "Soon" a voice whispered, like it was the wind itself.

To readers out there that actually hung in there and read my series from the first chapter to the last one, I hope you enjoyed the journey, as you traveled with my digidestined, going through their highs and lows, as they dealt with every antagonist placed in front of them, but the adventure is far from over I am just thanking you for sticking with me so far with this fanfic of mine, I hope you continue to read when I start 02, sometime later this year or sometime next year. ^_^
