Chapter 4: Call to Action
Story summary: After a brutal battle, the Wreckers, NEST, and Ronnie Anne returned to their main base with the young girl learning the limits of her new Powermaster suit. She sadly broke a fellow NEST operatives arm by accident, can she control this suit on her own?
Location: Unknown
Somewhere outside on a large platform, several men in military gear were standing beside each other, one by one with two men walking before the line of soldiers, one was an older looking man with a facial scar, beside him was Doctor Arkeville. They stopped, and the man who was clearly higher ranking among the soldiers, the point at two of them who saluted before walking forward to strange looking car, it was like a muscle car with green and black pain, the soldiers entered the car where he was pressing buttons with the vehicle starting to change, the front end and trunk split into two, forming arms with stubby hands and legs with feet popping out of them, with the drivers area turned into what could be a chest with the windshield serving as a viewpoint for both pilots of this machine.
The machine started to walk forward, turning to a target, both hands had two pipes sticking out, shooting lasers that hit the target. It then started to move forward, turning to the higher-ranking member among them, they then pulled out what looked to be a large blue phone, tossing it before it started to change into a large robotic blue panther with plane-like wings over their shoulders. The Panther started to run forward, then faced the machine that started to attack them. The robotic cat ran fast, every time the machine even aimed at them and fired, they would miss, over and over again.
The blue robotic panther then got close to the machine that tried to lift a foot to stomp but it was so slow that the panther just walked out of the way before lunging onto the shoulder of the machine and clawed at its right arm, swiping it repeatedly before the arm just fell off. They then leaped off, two missiles formed on the side of their hind legs, firing them. They hit the back of the legs of the machine, forcing them to fall over.
The panther then ran over to the machine, slashing the windshield, breaking it open then grabbing one of the soldiers with its jaws, flinging them out of the machine and high into the air before landing on the ground hard, the other soldier pulled out a gun but before they could even fire it, the panther slashes it out of their hand, cutting deep into their arm, then slashed again this time into their chest breaking the armor before doing what they did to the other.
"AH!" The Soldiers screamed as they were thrown, landing on their chest, they tried to get back up but were pushed down as the blue panther landed on their back, rolling them over forcing them to move onto their back and face them. The robotic feline raised a claw and was ready to swipe again, the soldier tried to block it with his arms but was saved by the command of his superior in ranking. "Howlback, stand down, that is an order girl!"
Howlback
-Terrorcon
-Drone/Smartphone
-Don't treat her like a house pet, she'll wait till you sleep to strike
The panther called Howlback stopped and turned to the man before looking down, staring down at the soldier who pulled a gun on her. She growled at them before walking to the commanding officer of this group. "He pulled a gun on me when I was pulling him out of that." She commented as she turned to the machine that was starting to emit flames, half a dozen men were using fire extinguishers to put out the fires, trying to save whatever equipment they could.
"It moved too slow, it takes two people to run it, one to get it moving and one for the weapons. It would be a waste of resources if we didn't have Thunderwing and his Terrorcons giving us supplies for them." The man said as he looked at the machine, there was room for improvements, lots of them, and every last one needed. "Howlback, contact them, we need him on the line and-"
"In need of resources for more of those Mechanoids? What a waste really." A voice spoke up, turning around, something entered the room, but no one saw it until it let them. Rampage had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "Hello, Silas."
Leland "Silas" Bishop
-Leader of Mechanical Enhancement Cybernetic Hunter AKA MECH
-Once a great nobleman, who sold out for top dollar
-Enjoys naming most of their projects after Greek mythos
Silas and Arkeville didn't look surprised, the other soldiers were taken aback. "Rampage, I was going to contact your leader to ask for-" Silas was interrupted.
"I know, you want more parts for the Mechanoids, your project "Chimera" in the beta stage… Haha, you humans love naming things, well, we aren't ones to talk." Rampage walked over to the Mechanoid that was on the ground, tapping his foot on the machine like a curious child. He then turned to Silas, Arkeville, and Howlback. "We're dropping off what you need for a few, we're going to use MECH to attack a convoy carrying some stuff from one of your labs Arkeville."
Arkeville was shocked, he didn't expect that one of his labs would be found. "How did they- Curses!" Arkeville then realizes something else. "Why ask us for help?"
Rampage just smirks. "The Wreckers, a subgroup, are guarding the convoy, we use you to attack them, and they won't fight back completely," Rampage explained. He planned to have them take on the Wreckers who couldn't fight back to their fullest, that was a rule for the Autobots to follow, they couldn't harm humans. They then turned to the side where a ground bridge opened up with Blackout walking out of it, carrying with him the body of their fallen, Ferak. "And here is a little gift, for you Doctor."
"Oh, you Terrorcons spoil us humans, but what happened to them?" Dr. Arkeville asked if he was more interested to know what happened to the body before them.
"Apparently they were thinking about bailing on us, leaving without saying goodbye, and after Thunderwing personally saved him and everyone from the DJD," Rampage explained before walking away with Blackout. "But yet, sometimes the loyalty of a Decepticon is always questionable, like the coward who ran away after his squadron was wiped out. Still, at least we know how to clean up." With that, he walked alongside Blackout into the ground bridge and vanished.
Location: Wreckers HQ
Ronnie Anne sat in a nearly empty room, the medical platform the Wreckers used, she was hugging her legs, both the golden bands she used for her Powermaster armor, laying just beside her feet, she threw them across the room countless times but they always came back to her either rolling or floating towards her almost as if mocking her. After what happened to Eddie she didn't ever want to put them on, she broke his arm, she hurt someone actually hurt someone, she's never done something like that, sure she's gone a little rough and maybe messed with a few people but she's never actually broken a limb before, especially someone else's. She felt horrible.
Beside her she wasn't alone; Hot Rod entered the room to check up on her. She was still hugging her legs and didn't acknowledge that he had entered. He walked up to her and knew he'll take a look at her after hearing what she did he was worried mainly for her, what she did was something out of character and he knew it wasn't her fault, he just couldn't find the words so he raised the hand and Pat her on the back gently, assuring her that she's all right and she did no wrong. "Hey Ronnie, you alright?" Hot Rod asked, it was a stupid question, yes, of course she wasn't alright.
"I broke Eddie's arm…" Ronnie Anne replied with great shame. It really hurt her that she knew what she did.
"Hey, kid, it's alright… I know and so do the rest of the soldiers, we all know you didn't mean to do it, it was an accident." Hot Rod sounded so sure of it but yeah, he knew that it still affected her, he knows Ronnie Anne well enough to know that this will affect her deeply as she hurt a potential friend.
Ronnie Anne just looked at the bands that rested at her feet, she wanted to throw them again and again and again but no matter how many times or how far she goes they always some have come back to almost like as if they're magnetizing to her. A part of her wanted to ask Hot Rod to just burn them, melt them down or something, maybe one of the Wreckers could do something about them.
"Hot Rod," the two looked at the entrance in the room, seeing Agent O'Neal standing there with a tablet in his hands. "I am sorry to disturb you, but we have something to discuss, it's on a mission briefing. I know it's too soon since it's only been a couple hours, but we are needed for a mission."
Hot Rod was a little puzzled, Agent O'Neal was right that it's only been a couple hours, both Roadbuster and Tankor had just recovered and woke up from the damage they took from Flatline, and now they're being put on another mission, so soon? He turned to his partner, Ronnie Anne, she needed help, she needed a friend and who listened to her and to be with her, she needed him. Hot Rod turns back to Agent O'Neal. "Sorry O'Neal, I'm going to have to sit this one out and be with my friend, she needs me."
"I'm sorry to say this, I do agree with you, but you are needed for this mission. You can't sit it out." O'Neal explains to Hot Rod, they both weren't exactly happy on the matter, but they had their orders. Hot Rod turned to Ronnie Anne, so unsure if you should leave her alone or not.
"Just go… I need some time alone anyway…" Ronnie Anne said to Hot Rod, knowing he was going to ask her if she needed any help. Hot Rod was starting to leave but turned to O'Neal who scratched the back of his head, he walked forward. "I said I need-"
"I know, I know, you need time by yourself, listen, kid, I get and understand what you're going through, it is tough after what you did… it was something you've actually done before." Agent O'Neal looked uncomfortable; he was not the best at this. A part of him wanted to find a way to remove those bands and Powermaster armor away from her for her safety. "Look, Eddie isn't known for holding grudges, he should be off the medication they gave him so he should be up, go to the medical ward and talk to him, he'll know you didn't mean it."
Ronnie Anne didn't respond; she didn't even look at them. She sat down not moving and full of guilt. Agent O'Neal then started to walk out of the room, looking back on the last time to see she still hadn't moved. Once they were gone, she looked at the bands on the ground, reaching out and she picked them up and threw them with all the might she had, throwing them across the room only for them to roll back to her.
Deeper in the base, Agent O'Neal along with several soldiers and the Wreckers all in a hanger a projector, some seeing worse for wear as their dents were buffed out, but it could still be shown that they were hurt. Agent O'Neal looked around, seeing everyone he informed to arrive. "Alright, I know it has only been a few hours since our last mission, we have a few injuries, mainly our human forces-"
"We got the scrap beaten out of us!" Roadbuster interrupted with Impactor smacking the back of their head. "What? I mean it, we got banged up."
"That is true Roadbuster, we took a beating, but we did make it back alive and with information, both on our new enemies and the lab we raided. We found a lot of stuff under there and some of it needs to be moved ASAP. They had air-dropped it at an air base but we're going there to pick up what we found and take it to a more secure facility where it will be guarded and researched. We'll be taking the US 50, almost no one will see us and get to a secret road for the drop-off." Agent O'Neal then saw Ironfist raising one of his hands, he had a question. "Yes, Ironfist?"
"Why don't we use the ground bridge for transport?"
"Simply put, Wheeljack and Ratchet have stated that the ground bridge can't and shouldn't transport everything. Some materials found on Earth could mess up the ground bridge, such as anything nuclear that could end up leaking out and setting it off, releasing nuclear energy for miles. We can't be sure what is under that lab, but we don't want to risk whatever, that means good old-fashioned transportation." O'Neal had explained as the Wrecker nodded in understanding. "In anyway, we're transporting a large amount of what we founded, however, to avoid being attacked we're moving them in transports that look like civilian trucks and trailers, we're going in there on the down low so both Hot Rod and Kup will be outside guarding while Impactor and Whirl will be inside another trailer that will be carrying Tankor's carrier, Alpha Bravo, you're in the air at all times, two helicopters would be suspicious and I don't trust Whirl in the sky alone."
"Smart decision really." Whirl commented.
"What about the rest of us?" Roadbuster asked, sounding rather irritated that he felt left out. "You only mentioned more than half of us, you left out me, Ironfist, Broadside, and Rack'n'Ruin."
"Unfortunately, we can't have military vehicles beside us, especially for Broadside since he doesn't have a street-legal alt mode. No offense Big guy." Broadside gave an understanding nod before turning his head and pumping a fist in victory as he didn't need to swim or fly. "So, until we need you four-" Agent O'Neal was then caught off guard from a loud cough from the twins who pointed at each other. "Sorry, you five, will stay on base, just be ready until we return."
With that, everyone started to break up, some people leaving to get ready and the Wreckers getting what they needed, Hot Rod however, walked over to O'Neal needing to speak with them. "Listen, O'Neal, I know I said I would help with the Wreckers, but I need to be with Ronnie Ane, she needs someone to hear her problems."
"I'm sorry Hot Rod, I really am, but we need you and Kup guarding as you have civilian vehicle Alt modes, the other Autobots are busy with tasks they were dealing with their own issues. I'll suggest she visits a therapist who works with us to see if she needs help." O'Neal explained, neither of them wanted to just leave her alone how she is. "Sorry Hot Rod, we also need to head out ASAP."
The team all started to walk around, everyone going to their stations for the mission. "Scrap…" Hot Rod said to himself as he had no choice but to leave Ronnie Anne and hoped she would speak to someone to help her.
After some time, Ronnie Anne was still on the medical bed for a Transformer, hugging her legs, she was feeling slightly hungry, she hadn't eaten anything at all after what happened. She wanted to get up but couldn't, but she lifted her head as she heard heavy footsteps, seeing Ironfist enter the room. "Oh, hey Ronnie Anne…" Ironfist spoke but couldn't find any words to say, he did overhear what had happened. "... You need company?" Ironfist asked.
Ronnie Anne didn't say a word, just scooted over a little to the left on Minerva's medical bed, the Wrecker then sat down a few feet away from her. The platform started to activate; a mechanical arm came from underneath that scanned Ironfist. "My scans show that you're uncomfortable with Ironfist. Most likely that you have no idea how to talk to Ronnie Anne with her being upset."
"Thank Minerva, I noticed…" Ironfist replied before looking to Ronnie Anne, maybe he could try and cheer her up. "I looked into the files in the medical center, Eddie will be alright, his arm snapping was his socket popping out, it will be a few days before he goes back to full recovery. Lucky for him huh? Heh heh." It wasn't helping. "You want to go and see him?"
"I don't want to…" Ronnie Anne responded she didn't like what she did. She wanted to get up and walk away to get away from everything that happened, the bands shaking and flowing towards her, but Ironfist grabbed them, she then turned to see him holding the bands. "I can't believe I did that because of some stupid tech…"
Ironfist looked at the bands, pressing his fingers against his helmet which released a stream of light to scan them. "Hmm, there is a lot I didn't check at first but…" Ironfist was thinking before turning to Ronnie Anne. "I know… it is hard when you accidentally harm someone badly… I have made weapons before and have taken…" He paused, maybe it wouldn't be the right time to talk about what he had done.
Ronnie Anne looked at them, she wanted to argue that he didn't understand what she had done but then again, giant robot warriors from space, which was enough to say they had done worse and things they never wanted to do. "Ironfist, I know you want to cheer me up and thanks but there isn't much you can do for me."
"It could be worse," Minerva said, she was always active from what Ironfist explained it was in case of an emergency. "It isn't the right thing to bottle your emotions Ronnie Anne, but I know how to cheer you up, you just didn't know what you could do."
"I should have-" Ronnie Anne replied but Minerva spoke up over her voice yet again.
"You have a strong heart and want to be a tough person so others will see you as someone who can handle anything thrown at you. You feel guilty hurting someone accidentally so that makes you a good person, but it wasn't your fault but didn't know your full strength, you are not to blame for what happened as you are still a young person." Minerva's words were helping, they were true she was careless and was having fun, she didn't know her full strength and she was using alien tech, it did ease her a little but there was still the guilt of what she did. "Perhaps you should meet up with Hardcore Eddie and seek forgiveness for what happened."
Ronnie Anne looked at them, they were right, only one person could judge her other than herself, she needed to see Eddie. "They are right, you know." She turned around to the entrance to see Eddie standing there with a caste over his arm along with an arm strap. "Hey kid, how are you feeling?" Eddie asked Ronnie Anne looking guilty as she looked at his arm. "It is alright, it really is."
"No, it isn't… I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done what I did-"
"Ronnie Anne, listen, I was the one who wanted to challenge your strength," Eddie then pointed to his arm with no shame on his face. "I wanted to challenge you to see if I could wipe that smug attitude off your face and I ended up biting off more than I chewed. So, I forgive you for what happened as it was mostly my fault for thinking I could take on a teenage girl wearing a super-suit." Eddie smiled as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "It is okay, kid."
Ronnie Anne smiled back, this helped, this really eased up the guilt she was feeling. "That is great to hear!" Minerva spoke up when she saw Ironfist was still scanning the bands. "What is going through your head Ironfist?" Minerva asked the Wrecker.
"Huh? I was scanning the rings completely, it seems to have more than just a physical increase ability, hmm, it also seems to have room for something…" Ironfist looked to the medical bed and to Ronnie Anne. "Hmm, yeah… Yeah! Ronnie Anne!" Ironfist walked over and knelt down to get closer to them. "I have this idea; we could put Minerva into your Powermaster armor."
Ronnie Anne looked confused, she turned her view to right and left as she had to ask. "What?"
Ironfist realized he wasn't explaining his idea thoroughly, so he showed her the bands and pointed to them. "I was scanning the bands and noticed it had a data room, I can place her A.I. inside the armor, she can control the systems inside, adjusting whatever you do physically, holding back when needed."
"Wait, you can do that?" Ronnie Anne asked, was this a good idea to begin with? "But wait, what about Minerva? Will it be making a copy of her?"
"No, we can't really copy her A.I. as it is too advanced, we could keep her main programming in the medical bed for us to use and keep us alive until we get an actual medic, but I do want to help you out. You could still use the armor, and Minerva could help you out and keep things in order for the suit. It won't be permanent either but long enough until we get the armor off or until her programming is imprinted on the suit." Ironfist had explained to her that it was a simple explanation to understand.
"Whoa, thanks Ironfist. This might actually help me out and benefit us all." Ronnie Anne said to the Wrecker who was walking over to the medical bed.
"Did you catch all that too Minerva?" Ironfist asked the medical A.I.
"Of course, I also see this as something fair for both parties and for you to keep that promise of giving me a mobile body." Those piqued Ronnie Anne's interest.
"Could someone explain?"
"Certainly. Not long after the Wreckers found me for their medical needs, Ironhide and I had delicate conversations, once he had even promised to construct me a body mobility use and medical Care instead of being relied on to this platform." Minerva explained with Ronnie Anne looking at Ironfist who scratched the back of his helmet almost nervously, the girl smirked as she pieces it together which only made him more nervous.
Location: Route US 50
US 50, the longest road in America, was miles and miles of almost nothing but an open road that was nearly empty with a few cars and semi-trucks carrying trailers, two of the civilian looking vehicles were both Hot Rod and Kup driving carefully. Some were labeled as food transport trucks for supermarkets, and one with Agent O'Neal in the driver's seat was for a moving company. He was out of his suit wearing a jacket and trucker hat but still had sunglasses on, in the passenger seat was alien-looking gun, and some of the equipment in the cabin looked the same bit once her pressed a button on the radio a screen opened up and showed a map of the road, the pulling microphone of a CB radio to call someone. "AB, what does it look like up there? Over."
"Nothing for miles O'Neal. Just flat lands, endless roads, and a coyote chasing a bird. We might be all clear." Alpha Bravo said over the radio.
"Just keep an eye out in case." O'Neal said before pressing another button, the words "Auto-pilot engaged" popped up on the screen. He let go of the wheel to scratch his arms, it was only an hour after they left the base, but it was still another time to get there. He then pressed another button to speak. "Impactor, how are you and the others back there?"
Inside the trailer of the semi-truck, Impactor with both Whirl and Tankor sitting down ready for action, both the other Wrecker and Tankor were facing each other, Impactor told Whirl not to pick a fight with them so instead they just messed around by trying out a human game of Rock-Paper-Scissors, they could only throw scissors. "Other than being cramped, nothing changed than Whirl trying to beat Tankor in Rock-Paper-Scissors."
Agent O'Neal stopped pressing the button and questioned something. "How do robots with claw hands play that game?" He then grabbed the Microphone of the CB radio to speak. "Hot Rod, Kup, you guys see anything on the ground?"
Outside of the truck, Hot Rod was up the front as he was the fastest among them all, Kup was the slowest, but he could keep up but was in the back, it was smart since he was an old-looking beat-up pickup truck so he couldn't go too fast as Cybertronians in their Alt modes are slightly faster than an average car. "This is Hot Rod O'Neal, I can see nothing on the ground, it makes you wonder what we were expecting."
"Expect anything kid, even if you don't expect it to begin with," Kup replied to Hot Rod over the radio. "Anything could happen, and you wouldn't know."
Hot Rod's chuckling could be heard easily. "That sounds like paranoia Kup." In Hot Rod's mind, it did sound like paranoia like someone being watched at all times, Kup was old but the growl of annoyance from Kup's end of the radio was a dead ringer that he didn't take too kindly to the rookie Wrecker's words.
"It isn't paranoia kid; trust me I've fought more battles long before this war. I learned to expect anything when I landed on a world where the locals seemed friendly only for them to try and feed me to a hoard of Scraplets thinking they were some sort of Gods or something, if I didn't have a hidden weapon I would have been eaten alive, you just have to be ready for everything kid even if it doesn't happen, we don't know what happens."
"Kup, that is a great point, and Hot Rod should listen to that advice." As O'Neal spoke there could be some chuckling over the radio waves, others that were listening, giving a good laugh. "But maybe keep the radio silent, we need to stay focused." O'Neal explained as he looked around the area, what Kup said was fact and something to expect in this line of work, anything could happen even if you don't expect it.
Hot Rod kept going forward as he drove ahead, keeping a distance yet staying close. As they drove, something was happening, the radio was acting up as it picked up something. "What in the-" Hot Rod was messing with his radio, trying to find out what was happening, it was built for that in case they pick up a signal in case of enemy chatter. "Is anyone else getting this?" Hot Rod replied on a secured line with Kup answering.
"I am, someone is trying to talk on their own private line. Civilian?"
Agent O'Neal in his cabin was starting to mess around with his CB Radio, it looked like one, but it was meant to look like that but was more high-tech than it appeared to be. "Negative, no normal civilian tries to have a private line this well-kept if we have a hard time picking it up." Agent O'Neal was turning a dial trying to pick up the signal better than the others until he heard something: "All Mayhe-HISS-unch has escaped contain-HISS-capture if seen-HISS" Agent O'Neal was caught off guard before hearing it again, this time slightly more clearly: "All Mayhem members-HISS-Punch has escape containment! Shot to stun and capture them, -HISS -nch orders. I repeat-HISS- Counterpunch-HISS-Shoot to stun-HISS- Continue the attack!" Then the signal went dead. "Scrap!" He then grabbed the Microphone and shouted. "Get ready we have company!"
Alpha Bravo heard the message then noticed something, a dust cloud heading to the road from the south but yet the dust cloud was moving fast and leaving tire treads behind it. "Three O'clock, Dust cloud possibly with combatants." He said as he readied his weapons. Inside the trailer, Impactor heard the message and raised a weapon in his hand, turning to Whirl who followed the same motion as Impactor.
The dust cloud was getting closer, inside of it no one was ready before it suddenly disappeared, turning into light particles showing dozens of cars, green muscle cars with Black and Blue Ferrari F50, the alt mode of Rampage, leading the front along with a motorcycle chopper with a goat's skull, the Baja Buggy, Chevy Silverado, and two other cars, a black van and orange tow truck above them all was two giant bugs, a bronze stag beetle and green rhinoceros beetle. "Seems they noticed, oh well. MECH, do your jobs!" Rampage spoke with his car doors rising up like gull-wing doors with two missiles being fired by the edges of the door, hitting the side of Agent O'Neal's truck, damaging the wheels, and stopping them in place. "Rampage, transform!" Rampage then changed into his robot mode along with Oil-Slick, Ruckus, Flatline, Berserker, Battletrap, Chop Shop, and Barrage. "Let there be Mayhem!"
The other cars drove past the five Terrorcons and headed towards the convoy of vehicles, turrets popping out of the trunks of the cars and fired with missiles or laser fire. Inside of O'Neal's now damaged truck he ducked down to avoid being hit, the other trucks were all hit, the wheels of them damaged from small missiles that didn't damage the vehicles too much, just got them to stop, they were after the cargo, Agent O'Neal then reached for the radio megaphone to speak to the others. "Wreckers you have the all clear, no civilians in sight so get ready to fight, I'm sending an SOS to the base for backup and-" Suddenly, he noticed the cars had drivers and a passenger beside them. "Oh scrap!"
The trailer to O'Neal's truck opened up with Impactor jumping out aiming his gun towards the vehicles driving to them, getting ready to pull the trigger before hearing a message from O'Neal. "Wreckers, hold your fire, those are humans into those cars!"
"What?!" Impactor was confused before getting hit by a missile from one of the modified cars that then got close and transformed into strange headless transformer-like robots, running towards them and firing with Impactor hiding behind the trailer. "Then how do I fight them off?"
When one of the robots getting closer to them, Hot Rod and Kup drove by, Hot Rod drifting across the road, hitting the legs of the robots knocking them over and landing on their backs, Kup had his rifle sticking up on his truck bed like a mounted torrent that shot the legs of some of the robots knocking them down. The two Wreckers drove behind the trailer to take cover alongside Impactor with Whirl sticking his head out only to get back inside to avoid being shot at. "We don't need to put the pilots down if they're human, just knock them do, hit the robots legs. Just like how we got away with fighting the Maulers in Galactic Council controlled space." Kup explained.
"Sounds risky, like the fight with the Maulers but let's go with it. Wrecker, Wreck and Rule!" Impactor shouted as he and Kup got ready but were stopped as a sudden action, Hot Rod getting kicked in the face by Rampage. "What the frag?!"
Rampage had leaped over the trailer, jumping down to kick Hot Rod in the face, he had a look of anger on his face, total rage towards Hot Rod. Impactor aimed his point blank at the Terrorcons head, pulling the trigger and obliterating their entire head, so they thought. Rampage's body started to fall apart until it was revealed to be that his body was just an illusion, a hologram with Rampage appearing behind them and kicking they're back knocking them down. Kup swung a punch hitting them in the face, but Rampage grabbed their arm and threw the elderly body with a judo throw. Once the three were on the ground, a barrage of laser fire was unleashed, Whirl making a hole and walking out.
"Say hello to my little friends!" Whirl shouts before Rampage gets back up with a smirk. "What are you smiling ab-" Whirl questioned before looking to the side to see Battletrap and Berserker who a few feet were just away. "Aw frag!" Berserker swung a small hammer hitting his face, Battletrap aimed a minigun on their arm at the crazy Wrecker but was stopped when Impactor got back up shooting his arm with his shotgun but before a second shot could go off Berserker blocked it with a large shield but was hit from the side by Whirl who looked to the trailer and fired another shot into it confusing the two Mayhem soldiers. "Get ready to be ripped apart suckers!"
Suddenly, Tankor ripped open his own exit to the trailer, jumping out of it with Buzzsaw hands. "Tankor Pulverize!" Tankor then swung his buzzsaw hands at the two, but Berserker blocked the attack with his shield and tried to swing his small hammer only for him to black a powerful stomping kick that knocked the small duo back.
Whirl watched and launched before he jumped up with him and Alpha Bravo taking on some of the robots with human pilots, but suddenly they were both hit by a powerful soundwave, all from Ruckus screaming at the two. As they ended up falling to the ground, they had to transform to avoid crashing, as they landed the robots launched missiles towards the two, but Alpha Bravo fired missiles of his own that hit not only each of the missiles but hit some of the robots as well.
Back with Tankor, they then noticed Rampage who looked solely towards Hot Rod as he was getting back up and swung a black down only to slash another hologram. Hot Rod noticed Rampage was gone yet again before thinking of a good idea, he then unleashed flames from his wrist that engulf the area around him in fire to burn the Terrorcon, it seemed they had used holograms and cloaking tech for hit and run tactics but he hit nothing despite the inferno a made around him but he still unleashed his flames, but stopped as a fist had popped out of his chest, Rampage was behind him driving his fist through Hot Rod's beck and out his chest.
"KID!" Kup screamed as he saw Hot Rod having a fist in his chest.
Location: Wreckers HQ, 15 minutes before the attack
Back at the Wrecker base, no one knows what is about to happen on the US 50, Ronnie Anne was sitting on a very technological chair that had several wires and cables attached to it, her Powermaster bands on her wrist as she sat on the chair on arm rest that had smaller cables and wires on them, a nervous look on her face. All the wires were set up by Ironfist, all plugged into the medical bed. "Um, are you sure this is safe?" Ronnie Anne asked, clearly nervous.
"I… have no idea really." Ironfist said as he looked over the wires one more time, he looked over to the medical bed, both Rack'n'Ruin were helping along with a few other members of the base such as Eddie, looking over things and giving a thumbs up to let them know things were looking good. "It might help but-"
"Ironfist," the voice of Minerva spoke with one of the robotic hands moving towards him. "I can see you are nervous but please calm down, you're doing great." She said to Ironfist, he was slightly shaky but stopped before connecting one last wire. "I can read my systems saying everything is set up. Ronnie Anne, are you ready?"
"Um…" Ronnie Anne looked around; she was nervous about this for a lot of reasons but ended up taking a deep breath before turning to the Wrecker weapons expert. "Alright, let's do this-" Without warning Ironfist flipped a switch, lights going off, such as the wires that looked as if something was leaving the medical bed and arriving to the bands around Ronnie Anne's wrist, the golden bands glow brightly before the Autobot symbol started to appear on them, branding on like a brand design for them, once they were on the bands, the lights suddenly stopped, it was finished. "Little warning next time!"
"Sorry." Ironfist then knelt down and scanned the bands, finding things had changed, Minerva's A.I. was inside both bands. "It looks like it worked, Minerva, are you alright?" Ironfist asked nervously if there was no response before the Autobot symbols started to blink rapidly. "What is that? Morse code?"
"No," Minerva said, she was talking through the bands like a phone. Ironfist looked happy as she was alright, it was hard to tell with his mouth covered but his eyes shifting gave it away. "Everything seemed to work, I also seem to be able to scan your body, Ronnie Anne, tell what is about to happen to you, such that you are about to have a reaction with your nostrils."
"What does that- Ah… Achoo!" Ronnie Anne sneezed before getting off the chair. "Oh, I guess you mean I was about to sneeze, could have just said that but maybe not speak out loud all the time. I don't want everyone to know about you after all." Ronnie Anne explained before looking at her bands.
"I can also scan that you're still nervous about this, would you like it if I found a way to calm your nerves." Minerva said to Ronnie Anne, the bands starting to vibrate like a message, a signal was sent to her brain that made her feel her body loosen up before shaking her arms. "Is that not what you need?"
"I'm just… worried. What if this doesn't work?"
Ironfist then knelt down yet again to look at her, placing his hand on her entire back, thumb on her shoulder almost like a hand. "Sometimes, you can only know when you try, if this worked Minerva will hold you back when needed, controlling this suit so you won't hurt anyone again unless you want to… it is like taking a first drive after transformer or steps for you humans and… this harder than it looks but let's just see if this worked, huh?"
Ronnie Anne took a deep breath; she was getting ready before raising her hands to clash the bands together. A bright light covered Ronnie Anne with her Powermaster armor covering her body but instead of it being nearly all dark, her legs were covered in a pure light metal with dark boots, her upper body was completely red except her stomach matching her legs color with the Autobot Symbol appeared on her shoulders and visor covering her eyes were practically glowing with lights built within it and a white metal facemask covering her mouth. She looked over her new colored armor, looking at her hands clenching her fist, looking to the side she saw a cinder block they had brought for test, she walked over to it picked it up, tossed in several feet in the air, then threw an uppercut punch that turned the dust into dust. "Okay, I like the new look, which is what I can say."
"That looks like a good color for you girl!" A voice came from the door with it coming from Broadside who walked in alongside Rack'n'Ruin and Roadbuster. "That is the color of a warrior, an Autobot warrior at that."
Roadbuster chuckled before playfully pushing Broadside's shoulder. "Ha! This comes from the Triple Changer with a flight mode while being scared of heights."
"Hey, I didn't pick a jet or a battleship alt mode, I would have wanted to be a tank or something." Broadside shot back before turning back to Ronnie Anne. "So, what is with the new look?"
"Ironfist put Minerva's A.I. into my suit to control it, mainly so I don't overwork it or something like that." Ronnie Anne explained. "Might actually be the best since she could control everything and don't… you know."
The other Wreckers looked at each other before Ruin asked the question, they were all thinking. "Is that a good idea?" Rack then added. "Will the medical bed still work?"
"Yes, but not as efficient as before," Ironfist answered before explaining further. "The medical bed will still work but it won't check up on us mentally or be super clear in some parts, like what happened to Roadbuster, it won't notice that his spark was disconnected unless it was brought to the machine, it can't pick up every exact medical problem with us, that is why Medical A.I.s like Minerva exist."
"So, just don't get too injured or too crazy, I guess it is too late for Whirl and Roadbuster." Rack joked with Roadbuster just nodding in agreement.
"I would say go Frag yourself, but you make a good point," Roadbuster then looked at Ronnie Anne. "So, is this because of what happened to Eddie?" Ronnie Anne just answered with a nod. "I see, well, does it work then? Control your suit I mean?"
"There is only one way to find out," Ironfist looked to some of the other soldiers among them, some looking nervous as to what happened to their fellow soldier getting an arm broken. "Any volunteers?" Some of them looked at each other but one stood out and walked forward. "Sargent Cooke?"
"I'll give it a try, might as well and help out the kid," Cooke said as a table was set up, Ronnie Anne sat opposite of Cooke as they got ready for what broke Eddie's arm, arm wrestling, both holding their hands out and holding each other tightly, Ronnie Anne was shaking nervously. Her vision was looking over Cooke, several tabs opened with lines pointing over his body, a hand he could normally use left-handed, he walked with a minor limp from a minor sprained ankle, and bruising on one of his eyes, all medical related. The moment their hands were held to arm wrestle, her arm felt loose not tightened as some people normally do when they do this game. "Ready?" Cooke asked.
The room was silent, it was quiet because they didn't know if this would work or not, Ronnie Anne wanted this to work. Then, it started someone shouted "GO!" and followed with a slam and no scream of pain, everyone saw that Ronnie Anne moved Cooke's arm down, letting go he felt his hand was a little bruised and aches but yet it was fine. "I think it worked." Cooke said to Ronnie Anne, her mask and visor removing themselves to her excited face.
"It worked?" She asked before throwing her hands up in celebration. "It worked! Yes! Thank you, Minerva!"
"You are very welcome, Ronnie Anne, I made sure you couldn't use unnecessary force along with the weapon systems," Minerva replied to Ronnie Anne's complement. "Such as the Ion Cutters."
"Ion what now?" Ronnie Anne questioned before being told to make her hands into fists, her arms had some sort of blue lines of light over her armor-like veins before twin sold foot-long energy blades popped out of her knuckles, almost like laser knife hands. She flinched before looking at the blades and stabbed the table, cutting and burning through it with the burning energy that was the Ion cutters. "Knife hands? I have knife hands!"
"That's great!" Cooke said nervously before backing up and whispering to the others. "Now I am frightened of her." Some of the fellow soldiers had to agree silently. Then the blaring sound of an alarm went off. "That's the call for backup for the Wreckers."
"That's odd, usually we don't call for backup." Roadbuster said as he started to exit the room.
"C'mon Bots, let's go mess someone's day up!" Roadbuster announced before each other of them got ready for battle.
Back at the battle, everyone was fighting or defending themselves, several robots still standing and firing. While the chaos was going on a mechanical wolf was watching from a distance away from the fighting. Besides the wolf was a large robotic figure, a Cybertronian being with a dark blue armor all over with a black body frame under the armor, they had shoulder pads that looked like the faint end of a car most likely from their alt mode with red car wheel rims, the Decepticon symbol was on their chest but it was crossed out with the Terrorcon symbol carved over it, and their head had a helmet with twin antenna on their head like horns, a single near V-shape red visor and a blue mask over their mouth, they had a rifle on their hands watching, using a scope from the rifle to look far away, seeing Hot Rod having a fist punched through his chest. "Hmm, Rampage is handling the Wreckers, this is our chance as the others are dealt with, Carnivac hurries and retrieves that data." The blue transformer ordered with Carnivac nodding.
"Of course, Counterpunch." Carnivac said as he started to head towards the fighting going on, and leaving behind the Terrorcon, Counterpunch.
