Introduction

Yamaguchi Kumiko, better known as Yankumi, now finds herself teaching at Akado Academy. After the exasperated Sawatari Goro failed to control the notoriously unruly Class 3-D, the school director gave him a clear ultimatum—find someone who can. Desperate, Sawatari journeyed all the way to a remote southern island to track down the only person capable of such a daunting task. With some persuasion—and a fair bit of begging—he convinced Yankumi to return and take on the role of homeroom teacher for yet another class of delinquents.

But this time, things are even more intense. The new Class 3-D makes her former students seem like well-behaved honor students in comparison. Tensions run high with rival factions clashing for control, and discipline seems like a distant dream. Just as she begins to get a handle on things, another twist arrives: a mysterious new transfer student named Mae Hitori joins the class. But Mae isn't what she seems. Behind her quiet demeanor and male uniform hides a girl with her own reasons for enrolling at Akado Academy under a false identity.

As secrets unravel and tempers flare, Yankumi, Mae, and the chaotic students of 3-D are thrown into a whirlwind of conflict, mischief, and unexpected connections. Along the way, they will face countless challenges—but through the turmoil, they'll discover the true meaning of trust, friendship, and perhaps even love.

Chapter 1: The New Student of Akado

Mae Hitori was born into one of Tokyo's wealthiest and most influential families. She attended one of the top high schools in the country and, with her sweet looks and effortlessly cool demeanor, was always among the most popular girls in school. But beneath the charming exterior, Mae was far from the ideal image she projected.

Raised in luxury, Mae learned early how to manipulate her surroundings to get exactly what she wanted. She was unapologetically self-centered, outspoken, and deeply spoiled. Her flaws were many—she judged people easily, looking down on those who weren't rich, beautiful, or smart. Mae was a bully cloaked in cuteness, with a heart as cold as her stare.

With a doll-like face and a well-formed figure, she was often the object of desire, something she used to her advantage. Flirtatious and emotionally distant, Mae toyed with love but never let it touch her. She had no real friends—only sycophants and paid affection. The teachers praised her because they were compensated for it. The girls who laughed with her were actresses in her private stage play. Only one thing in her life felt authentic: her family. Despite the wealth, the emotional bond within her household was real, and that, to Mae, was the only thing that mattered.

But Mae wasn't just a spoiled rich girl. She was smart, calculating, and surprisingly strong. A judo athlete since childhood, she could defend herself when necessary. Petite, standing just 4'9", with flowing black curls, large dark eyes, and a soft, sweet voice—Mae was a wealthy yankee in designer clothing, capable of holding her ground. A brat, perhaps, but one with grit.

Then everything changed.

One month before the new school year, Mae returned home one stormy night to a scene from a nightmare—three corpses, blood splattered across the pristine floors. (The reasons and those responsible… are another story to be revealed in the coming chapters.) Her world collapsed in a single breath. Her entire family was gone, and only her grandfather survived. With their lives in danger, the police advised her to disappear.

The detective in charge of the case arranged a cover for her. Given that her full name, Mae Hitori, could be perceived as gender-neutral, the plan was simple: she would pose as a boy and transfer to Akado Academy—specifically to Class 3-D, the infamous dumping ground for delinquents. There, hidden in chaos, she might just be safe.

There was only one complication. Since the tragedy, Mae had developed a deep trauma. The sight of blood or extreme violence now triggered panic attacks. She had collapsed the night of the murders and hadn't spoken for three days. It took a full month for her to function again.

Now, with the school year beginning, she was ready to step into her role. Mae moved into an apartment near Akado—luxuriously furnished, of course. She cut her hair short and dyed it a light brown. She dressed in boy's clothing, wrapping her chest tight with an elastic belt, layering her school uniform with a pink hoodie to maintain a subtle personal flair. She enrolled a week after classes began.

Meanwhile, chaos reigned at Akado. The infamous Class 3-D, under the care of newly assigned teacher Yamaguchi Kumiko—Yankumi—was already at war. The students were wild, noisy, and split into two rival factions. On one side stood Ogata's team, rowdy and territorial. On the other, Kazama's crew, just as fierce. Yankumi hadn't even finished assessing the battlefield before her mind reeled with confusion—Which one is the leader? she wondered, as Kazama and Ogata locked eyes in another silent war of dominance.

Then the classroom door opened.

A petite boy stood at the threshold, hands in his pockets, eyes half-lidded in boredom. He stepped inside, closed the door, and silently walked toward the front.

"I'm a new transfer student. Mae Hitori," he said flatly, handing Yankumi a stack of documents.

The class froze. Even Kazama and Ogata paused to eye the newcomer who dared walk between them without so much as a glance. Mae passed them with complete indifference, sat at an empty desk, and hugged it quietly. He didn't speak. Didn't look up. Didn't care.

To Mae, the noisy classroom, the immature teacher with pigtails, and the two posturing gang leaders were already on her mental blacklist. They weren't worth her time.

But to the rest of the class, Mae was a mystery—and an insult. A new kid who walked in, ignored everyone, and acted like he owned the place? Whispers surged. Students crowded around. "How clueless is he?" "Does he not know who runs this class?" "Oi! You!"

Mae said nothing. Kazama and Ogata returned to their silent battle of wills. Yankumi tried in vain to restore order. And so the new school year began—loud, chaotic, and already full of surprises. The stage was set. The players had taken their positions. And in the center of it all stood Mae Hitori, the disguised heiress with secrets no one could imagine.
