"And… there we are, all done." Aura exclaimed at last as the royal caretaker finally finished changing Princess Celestia into a clean diaper, balling up the heavily used (and very smelly) old one and tossing it into a diaper pale that could accommodate alicorn sized diapers.

Princess Celestia clapped her hooves and giggled whilst nuzzling a giant stuffed duck that served as her favorite plushie. It smelled even better having been freshly washed for her. "Yay!" She exclaimed while babbling and drooling, behaving not unlike a toddler.

Aura, for her part, just sighed deeply and struggled to adjust her frazzled mane. "That's the fifteenth one this month!" She exclaimed to herself, not caring that nopony but her was around to hear it. When she had signed on for the position of "royal caretaker", she had assumed that the job would not involve things such as this. She'd assumed that the princesses just needed somepony to help them with a few more "personal" problems that might sometimes slip through the cracks.

Watching what was supposed to be the sovereign ruler of all of Equestria just sit there in a diaper, drooling like a foal and behaving like more of an oversized toddler, Aura could only scarcely recall her reaction upon being hired as the royal caretaker and finding out that both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna wore and used diapers, and behaved like foals. Apparently, it had all been a result of something that had occurred when Celestia was battling Nightmare Moon. And nopony knew what had caused it or how it might be reversed. Even the most magically gifted scholars were at a loss.

At first, Aura had been mostly relegated to handling Princess Luna. And Luna had thankfully not been too fussy. Aside from occasionally crying for her caretaker in a loud voice, she was usually very well behaved and cooperated. Celestia was nothing like that. She was stubborn and demanding to a fault, and would throw a tantrum whenever she was told no. Aura seemed to be the only one who could at all reason with her, which had led to her being repeatedly forced to pull double duty and care for the older alicorn as well.

This had been going on for months. And for Aura, those months had felt like forever. If not for how well the job paid, she was sure she would've walked away and found work that was more fulfilling and less taxing. She had hoped that something would change, that a cure would be found to undo whatever it was that had been done to the royal sisters that left them with the minds of toddlers. But now, it seemed like they would be stuck that way forever. If not for them being able to raise the sun and the moon on instinct, Equestria would have no need for them.

So it was that the royal caretaker decided that she was not going to put up with the increasingly difficult demands of her position anymore. Not if she could help it. If nopony else was going to make any effort to make things change, she would just have to take it upon herself. She was sick and tired of having to constantly change diapers. Even toddlers eventually learned how to do without them.

Then and there, Aura made up her mind. "Yes," She said to herself. "This has to be done! In fact, it should've been a lot sooner! But better late than never! And I'm doing it whether the princesses like it or not!"

Princess Celestia, for her part, was completely unaware of what Aura was thinking. She just continued to nuzzle her plush duck and hold it close to her. She didn't have a care in the world.

Aura then took a deep breath, preparing herself physically and mentally for the task that lay ahead. "I can do this!" She thought to herself. Then she approached Princess Celestia and cleared her throat, getting her overgrown charge's attention. "Celestia, listen up. I know you like your diapers and like using them. But I'm getting tired of always have to change them, and change your sister's diapers too."

Celestia said nothing. In fact, she appeared to only half be listening to what Aura was saying.

"Therefore," Aura continued as she grabbed the alicorn mare by the hoof. "It's about time you learned how to use the bathroom like a proper pony. And the same goes for your sister. You're both more than old enough."

"No wear diapers?" Princess Celestia blinked in surprise and looked ready to tear up.

Aura wasn't about to let the alicorn start crying. "You heard me. This is not up for debate," Then, hoping to make it go more smoothly, she offered. "If you cooperate, I'll give you some cake. You like cake, right?"

"Cake!" Celestia happily exclaimed as she licked her lips and nodded!

Aura smiled, ushering the princess along. "Good. But that's only if you do as you're told. Otherwise, it's straight to bed with no dessert after dinner. Do I make myself clear?"

The sun princess frowned, but seemed to obey as she brought was into the bathroom nearest her bedroom. It was rather posh and refined compared to most of the other bathrooms in the castle. And the plumbing fixtures were (unsurprisingly) made to accommodate a full grown alicorn. As such, the tub, the sink, and even the toilet were all slightly bigger than they might be for most ponies. Once inside the bathroom, she sat down upon the floor and eyed the toilet with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. "Use potty?" She asked Aura.

Aura nodded once again. "Yes, Princess Celestia. It's far better than sitting in your mess all day until somepony cleans you up."

"Don't want to! Diapers better!" Princess Celestia protested as she fouled her arms and started to pout.

Aura groaned and sighed, putting a hoof to her forehead. "Well, you don't have to use it right now. I need to get your sister first so we can start potty training the both of you," And she instructed. "Just stay there and don't move until I get back. Don't touch anything!"

Celestia babbled something, but seemed to understand what was being asked of her.

Satisfied, the royal caretaker departed the bathroom and went to find Princess Luna.

It took a few minutes for Aura to cox the other royal sister into the bathroom. Yet, somehow, she managed, even though she had to practically drag the moon princess in by the tail. "You're going to use the potty and that's final!" She all but shouted at the younger alicorn.

Luna appeared to be on the verge of tears herself, sniffling faintly. "Caretaker, no!" She whined.

But the royal caretaker didn't care. She had gotten used to such displays from the princesses whenever they didn't want to do something. She wasn't going to let them get away with not doing what they should've been taught how to do already. "Alright, your majesties," She said in the best motherly tone she could muster up. "I didn't want to have to do this. But I'm getting sick and tired of having to always change your diapers all the time. You two are old enough to where you should know better, know how grown ponies take care of their bodily needs."

The two alicorns looked at Aura with suspicion and concern. It was clear they weren't about to be convinced with words.

Sighing, Aura explained. "Allow me to demonstrate, so you understand what I'm asking you two to do," She began to trot towards the toilet while explaining. "Now then, once you start potty training, if you feel like you have to do anything: Be it pee pees or poo poos, come get me or another caretaker. We'll take yout to the bathroom and help you pull down your diapers. Then you just sit down on the toilet, like this," She carefully positioned herself on the toilet after lifting up the lid. "And then you just relax and let it go," After sitting for a moment or two, she stood up and continued. "When you're all done, your caretaker will help you wipe up," She pulled a few pieces of toilet paper off a nearby rack and demonstrated how to perform the "wiping", then placed them into the toilet bowl. "And then you flush, like this."

The toilet's silver handle was pressed down with a click, and a faint roar began to be heard. The roar made the two alicorn sisters scream with fright! They got up and tried to run out of the bathroom to escape from the noise!

Aura refused to let them do so. She locked the door firmly with her magic and stood before the princesses. "I know it sounds scary, but it's not anything to be afraid of. The toilet can't hurt you."

Sure enough, the noise faded as the flush cycle ended. The peace and quiet that ensued made the two alicorns feel just a little bit better. Still, neither one seemed interested in attempting what Aura had just showed them how to do.

The unicorn caretaker wasn't bothered by the lack of a response from her charges. She just turned to Princess Celestia and said to her. "Celestia, seeing as you're the bigger sister, you will go first. Remember our deal: You must use the potty, or there will be no cake before bed. Come on, there's nothing to be scared of. I'll be right here the whole time." She proceeded to pull down the alicorn's diaper, and helped her to sit on the toilet.

So Celestia sat there, and sat there, and sat there. Minutes seemed to tick by in agonizing slowness, but nothing was happening. That is, until her tail suddenly lifted itself, almost entirely on instinct her body began to push as she grunted and shut her eyes. Then there was a plop and a splash as the scent of a dirty diaper (albeit without the actual dirty diaper) reached her nostrils. A sense of pride and accomplishment seemed to wash over her as she raised her front hooves into the air and happily proclaimed! "I… I did it!"

"Yes, good job, Celestia!" Aura applauded with only slightly exaggerated praise. "See how easy that was? Just do it like that, and you won't ever have to worry about sitting in a used diaper ever again." Then she helped the older alicorn to wipe, before flushing the toilet.

When the flush kicked in, Princess Celestia could now see that everything in the toilet was being swept up by some kind of raging whirlpool. Then it all swirled down the drain and disappeared, before the water returned in a now sparkling clean state. It almost seemed like it sparked some sort of realization in her, because she just stood there in stunned silence.

Aura didn't have to time to really worry herself with such a development, however. Because her thoughts now turned to Princess Luna, who seemed suddenly intrigued by what she had just seen her sister go through. So Aura approached her and helped the night princess do the exact same thing that had just been done with Celestia. And like with Celestia, Luna just sat there for a while, not doing anything. Yet all of a sudden, her body also seemed to operate on instinct as her tail hiked upward. This time, accompanying the plop and the splash was a steady hissing sound.

Luna was filled with a sense of pride and satisfaction afterwards. Yet she too seemed to become inexplicably transfixed and in a daze when the flush cycle began after she'd been wiped clean. Suddenly, she blinked and turned to Celestia as she spoke ever so slowly. "Sister…?"

"...Luna?" Celestia pondered.

"What… has happened to us?" Princess Luna questioned, speaking in complete sentences. "We feel as if we have suffered an out of body experience."

Princess Celestia blushed as she looked to herself, taking notice of the unused diapers lying on the bathroom floor and the unfamiliar unicorn mare in the bathroom with her and her sister. "I… do not know, Luna."

"Really?" Aura questioned with surprise. "You don't remember anything?"

Both alicorns shook their heads as Celestia then explained. "The last thing I can remember was this blinding flash while fighting Nightmare Moon and something about 'foals'. Then it was as if I went to sleep and somepony took over my body."

Aura breathed a much needed sigh of relief! "Oh, thank the stars it worked! You're finally back to normal!"

"Normal?" The two alicorn sisters blinked in mutual confusion.

At that, the unicorn caretaker began to massage the back of her neck with a hoof. "It's a long story, your majesties. But at least now I won't have to change any more adult diapers."
