Continued from the conclusion of chapter four.
Lincoln had already seen what happened to Flip on the TV at Clyde's, but saw it again, with his entire family.
He stood shocked, but was unaffected emotionally by the man's death. As far as he was concerned, Flip was another scumbag who got his karma. The weather channel followed, explaining the massive storm wasn't over.
Rita and Lynn Sr, having noted the imminent hurricane, called everyone into the kitchen.
"Now kids, we need you all to listen to us. There is a massive storm coming our way, and when it's around the corner, we need you all to specifically not leave the house in event we need to evacuate, so we need to stick together so we're not separated in emergency." said Rita.
Lynn Sr followed up on her statement. "So everyone, do whatever you have to for now, but when the big storms arrive, we're going with Pop Pop and Myrtle and staying in Iowa, so please pack everything you need so we're ready when that day comes."
Everyone looked very disturbed, while Lincoln just sat back in his chair, unphased by the news. "Yo, you're not scared Link?" Lynn said, seemingly proud but also puzzled.
"Nah, we'll be prepared, and our house has gone through worse before." in reality, Lincoln was unafraid of death, not caring what happened to him or anyone else, aslong as it wasn't his close family or friends. But he wasn't gonna say this infront of everyone.
"We should totes get into the basement!" Leni added. "Leni, the basement isn't waterproof, we'll risk being trapped by debris and face potential suffocation during the flooding." Lisa replied.
Lucy seemed intrigued. "To perish amongst the watery blight, is a tale to end such a stoic existence and overcome all dread." everyone slowly backed away from her, after hearing this.
After the debating and endless statements, Rita and Lynn Sr left the kitchen, only to be followed closely by Luna and Sam. "Ma, pops! I need to speak with ya!" Luna said, in a hushed tone.
"What is it, sweetie?" asked Rita, and Luna explained the story involving Morag, the window incident, and how she thinks Morag killed Flip.
This didn't go as Luna had hoped.
"Oh sweetie, you just had a night terror. The stress of the storm, and the fear can cause your mind to play tricks on you. Morag is still in Scotland, under surveillance as a groundskeeper, why would she be here, of all places?"
Luna thought about the statement, but Sam added on that she did in fact, also see Morag. Rita scratched her forehead. "So, be it as it may, if you did see Morag, why would she hurt Flip? Or follow you into Sam's home?"
Luna couldn't believe how oblivious her mother was, did she not recall Morag's vandetta, or how she nearly killed everyone? It's obvious she would end up in Royal Woods to track them down, and seek her revenge.
Luna then spoke up. "Mom, listen! I can get proof, you can back me up and we could have the police arrest her! We could be saving innocent lives here!"
Unfortunately, Rita didn't seem to appreciate this. "Luna, I'll hear no more of this. Morag is not here! If I need to, I'll ask around town when I have the chance, and we'll go from there. I'm not letting you put yourself in trouble just to prove a point. End of discussion!"
And with that, Rita stormed off.
"Well, that was a waste of time." Luna shook her head. "Hey hey, you did good, Lunes! Atleast now, she knows." replied Sam.
This didn't phase Luna, as she was pretty sure now her mother thought she was crazy, she needed to prove to her, if not, the police that Morag was in town, what her history was and that she certainly didn't mean good news.
Worse, Luna was positive that Morag was planning a serious vengeance plot against the Loud Family, and knew that if her parents didn't believe her, she was going to need proof, fast.
And with that, Luna walked with Sam outside, as the sun began to rest.
"Sam, can I ask you something?" was all Luna could say, uttering out in torn nerves.
The blonde rocker, with her sexy teal streak flipped her hair back, as she looked on at Luna with her pretty baby blue eyes.
"Haven't you already?" she replied, with a cute tone. Luna chuckled, before replying. "No, it's important."
This statement got Sam out of her playful mood, before letting Luna continue. She explained Morag in more depth, and what her worst fears were coming to, and how she needed to protect everyone.
"And that's where, I was hoping... you could help me find the evidence I need, so we can show the folks and we could put this shredder behind bars, and save everyone!"
Luna was anxious for the answer. What if this was too much pressure, what if Sam was put in danger, what if she didn't have Luna's back when she needed it most.
Then, the answers followed.
"Of course I'll help you Lunes! You're my rock'ner for life!" she smiled, as she held Luna's hand.
Luna smiled, but followed up her response. "You know, this could get really dangerous." Sam tilted her head. "Really? I'd ride with you to the flames of hell, Moon Goat's for life." and then kissed Luna on her lips, bringing a great amount of relief and comfort to the rockstar.
"Now, we may not be able to do this alone, we should find helpers, fast." Luna added, getting back into her serious stance.
"I got it!" Sam said. "Lincoln's a master spy apprentice! He knows it all."
Luna was shocked. "Uhhh... How did you-" then Sam interrupted. "Luna. I know all about your family, we've known eachother pretty much all our lives, they're as much my family as yours!"
Of course she does, Luna thought about how dumb it was to forget Sam's observations of the obvious over the years. And so, they went off to see Lincoln.
Upstairs, with Lincoln
Lincoln was laying in his bed, reading comic books in his new boxers, tired of being a kid and hoping a man would be the one to draw the ladies, or so he hoped.
As empty as he felt, he had purpose. And while he was in a bubble of relaxation, he was taken out by several knocks at his door.
"Ugh, come in." he mumbled, but loudly.
And so, Luna came in, and followed her was-
"Sam!" Lincoln gasped, as he quickly put on his pajama pants. "I uh- I was just changing or...nevermind, what do you need?" he gave up trying to cover his lie.
"We need your help, bra." Luna asked, impatiently.
Lincoln just smiled. "With?" was all he said.
Luna then explained the situation. Something told her, his reaction wouldn't be as comforting as Sam's.
And she was right.
"You realize, you're about to get us into some really serious shit, Luna? I mean, I'm the man with the plan and all, but this- I can't even begin." He stammered.
Luna spoke up, desperate for his help. "Come on Lincoln, I've had your back plenty, and got in trouble for you way too many times, can't you return the favor for us now? You're the spy genius!"
Unphased, Lincoln got out of his bed and faced out the window. "You remember the last time I was sleuthing, I ended up nearly blown into space and almost getting us all killed, then I almost drowned after falling tens of thousands of feet into the ocean in a small pod."
Unfortunately, never had truer words been spoken. Only, it may have been at the wrong time, but Lincoln now suddenly understood what Myrtle had been trying to tell him, and now he was in her shoes.
"Come on Ace! You're the smartest middle schooler in all of Royal Woods, you saved your family from that evil Fifi! And, you saved us from Morag once and you could do it again!" Sam pleaded.
Lincoln sat down on his bedside. "You saw Morag, didn't you?"
Both Sam and Luna trembled. "Y-you saw her, too?" they both said in unison.
"So, I'm not crazy." Lincoln grew a face of utter contempt, rather than fear.
"Why didn't you say something to me or mom earlier?" Luna demanded, shocked that Lincoln kept this from everyone.
Lincoln grew a scowl, as he responded. "What good would that have done me? Have mom and dad call me crazy again?" he then laid in his bed, uninterested in the topic.
"Lincoln, I know everyone gives you a hard time! But me and Luna appreciate you, really! In just a few days, we all had your back at Flip's and saved you from the storm, why are you being so cold to us, shutting us out?" Sam plead with him, appalled at his cold shoulder.
"Because Sam, what has meddling got me? In case you forget, the situation with Morag almost doomed us all, and we destroyed an entire city trying to stop her."
Sam knew his response was flawless, there were alot of costs. "I get it. But- if you change your mind, we're still doing this, me and Luna." and she looked at Luna.
"Luna, Sam. It's going to be dangerous. Just stay here, file a tip about Morag, and we can wait here until the police catch her, it's safer if we're all together."
With that, Lincoln pulled a small S pistol out of his end table. Sam was shocked, but Luna wasn't.
"Wha- why do you..." was all the blonde could say.
Luna had to fill her in. "A few weeks ago, Pop Pop decided we should be armed and ready to protect ourselves in the unhinging world, but only Lincoln and dad actually wanted the guns, so I guess we're armed now."
"I- aslong as your family is okay with it, little dude..." Sam stuttered, giving a quick smile to Lincoln.
"Don't worry. If we all stick together, stay indoors until the case is over, we'll be fine, I'll protect you all. But I really think this is over your heads, Flip was just a rude, crazy ass scammer who everyone hated, they'll probably never be able to find who did it anyway."
Luna sat down next to Lincoln, looking at the gun. "But we've gotta try. Who knows if we'd even be able to get her in time? She could get us all when we sleep, we have to leave the house at some point, we can't just stay in one spot. What if she burns the house down, and gets whoever is left after we make our escape?"
This took Lincoln back a bit, but he kept silent.
"No matter what you do, we're screwed if she's behind this, but this way, we atleast don't offer ourselves up as bait. Hopefully, the detectives take that lead seriously."
After a quick debate, they settled with their decision to investigate, while Lincoln promised to sit back at watch everyone while they leave, and continue to once they have all the clues they need.
"Thank you for atleast promising to protect us, even if it has to come to it, really Lincoln. You've helped us all so many times, let us be the ones who risk it all for the family this time." Sam said, understanding Lincoln's intentions.
"Good luck Sam, and please make sure nothing happens to my sister. They all mean the world to me." he said, slightly showing a friendly side to Sam for the first time since he found out about the crush.
She smiled, and gave him a high-five. "You bet, Ace."
And with that, both Sam and Luna left Lincoln's bedroom, got keys and prepared to leave.
Thankfully, Lori's car was available, and Lori had mentioned Luna could use it at any time, after a favor she owed her. Nobody wanted to be responsible for Vanzilla breaking down again.
Luna walked outside, and got into the driver's seat, and Sam in the front passenger. "Alright Luna, so the first stop is obvious. We need to get to Flip's, and see what went down."
"Yeah luv, but there's gonna be a ticking obstacle, there's probably police tape and evidence surrounding the site, we'll never be able to find what they haven't." Luna added, unfortunately aware of the complications.
She then started the car, and peeled out of the driveway, with the heat, surprisingly working, on full blast. It was a freezing night, but the two girls continued on their search.
"We'll be able to find it out soon enough, the police can't get everything right, if we can find one trace that goes back to Morag, she's busted, and we may just save everyone." Sam replied, as she interlocked fingers with Luna.
Meanwhile, Luna was enjoying the heat and her girlfriend's soft hands on her own. She truly was an endearing girl. "Yeah, but if Lincoln or Mulligan are right and it's just regular looters, we may just be in danger for nothing."
This caused Sam to come to a quick realization. "If there's violent looters on the loose, and the storm will just get bigger, what if they loot our homes, or we get raided, or mugged, or worse?"
"We have to finish this and expose them, before it's too late." she finished.
As they pulled up to the Food & Fuel's parking lot, they noticed the crime scene tape, but nobody around. Perhaps there was nothing left, but the determined duo weren't about to give up their search.
Sam, who had a backpack with some essentials, sat it on the trunk, and took out two flashlights, and gave one to Luna before they made their way to the now abandoned gas station.
"P-U, what's that- ughh, smell?!" Sam gagged, and covered her nose with part of her shirt.
Luna covered her nose with her hand, but walked up to the window, where the glass had been shattered. "I don't know mate, but I think it's coming from inside..."
Both girls turned the flashlights active, and saw that the old store had been completely ransacked. Nearly everything inside the store had been stripped down from looting, even the lights had been ripped down, while multiple shelves were knocked over.
Sam picked up a small board from the shelves that had broken off. "You almost wanna draw something funny on here, like a rabbit riding a unicycle."
Meanwhile, Luna made her way to the counter. Though expecting the cash register to be empty, she noticed quickly even the register itself was gone, and may vulgar words demeaning Flip was spray painted across the store.
"Sheesh, imagine the hate you must cause for your final resting place to be destroyed worse from vandals than an entire hurricane storm." Luna shook her head, looking for answers.
They searched for clues, but could find nothing other than ants, mold, fallen ceiling tiles and litter, among the many tipped shelves.
Sam looked outside, and thought of something. "Hey Luna, do you think they managed to syphon all the gas?" before breaking into laughter.
"Nawww, everyone knows the gas here would destroy your car or whateva' quicker than any empty tank would." Luna replied, struggling to keep a straight face.
Suddenly, however, the stench was back. "Oh sweet heavens above... what is this putrid scent?!" Luna called out, about to throw up.
"It's... I think it's coming from..." Sam couldn't finish, as she approached and opened a random jug of gas, which let out a huge mist of stench, revolting the girls.
Luna, determined to find the source, began pouring the jug out on the wet, torn up tiles.
It was then, that a masive flood of blood leaked out of the jug.
"AHHHHH!"
Both girls shrieked, horrified at the sight. This wasn't a casual Halloween prank, this was human blood, from a murder scene. The obvious flew over their heads, in this moment of panic.
However, inside it was a key, which slipped out with the blood, initially going unnoticed.
Luna quickly grabbed gloves from out of Sam's bag, while she covered her face from the stench, as well as the sight, almost bumping into Luna multiple times in her blind act.
After shaking the blood off the key, Luna looked stumped, barely able to get her nerves together.
W-what's this for..." she said to herself, whilst holding it up for a better look.
Sam looked closely at it.
"Uhhh... I'm at a loss for words, Lunes." she added, as she was just at stumped. "I have no idea where a random key would just go to."
They began to wipe it clean, discussing where they should try it out, only to be interrupted by a loud, familiar voice.
"Why don't you try the manager's quarters?"
They turned to see a familiar figure, hovering in the doorway.
"Lincoln!" they both gasped.
It was Sam who spoke up, though. "What are- why are... What made you decide to help?"
Lincoln threw his hair back, as he walked up to them.
"I mostly just wanted to make sure you two didn't get yourselves in trouble, but I guess trouble is fixated elsewhere, so we should hurry." he urged, pointing at the door.
The door leading to Flip's office (and living quarters) was already badly damaged, possibly from others who attempted to break inside.
It didn't occur to them, that only the killer could have had access to Flip's key from his carcass, but why conveniently place it into a blood-filled gas jug?
The three quickly approached, with Luna stammering and struggling to put the key in. Mostly, she was just anxious and reluctant to see what could be on the other side, but she succeeded after the 8th time.
And opening the door, the three were greeted to a massive blood painted graffiti.
The Plague Will Consume YOU
The "you" had been painted underneath the four words, taking up almost as much space. And a human lung was nailed into the wood panelling.
And Luna had gagged, Sam nearly fainted, while Lincoln was frozen in absolute horror.
"What the FUCK is this?!" Luna screamed, followed by Sam hyperventilating.
"Shhh! Would you keep it down? You're going to get the entire neighborhood looking!" Lincoln scolded, trying to keep their trespass unnoticed.
Luna was appalled. "Well I'm so sorry, Mr. Fucking Caution, that this shit is just-"
She was unable to finish her sentence, filled with utter horror, her stomach sickened by the vile sight.
It was Sam, who added to Luna's incomplete sentence.
"This isn't like the movies... We need to alert this to the cops, fast!"
Lincoln wasn't on the same boat. "Are you nuts, woman? I don't think we're supposed to be in here, they find out we were trespassing, then what?"
He looked at both Luna, and Sam, stunned in silence. "They'll tell our parents, me and Luna will get grounded, heck mom's not gonna let Luna be around Sam anymore, this could go on our record."
Luna stepped up, and shook Lincoln.
"Listen, Lincoln! This is serious bruh! What are the cops gonna do, say 'thank you for your assistance in a huge clue we missed' and then say 'oh and you broke the law snooping' like come on, this is more serious than private detectives!"
Sam got in between them. "Okay, here's what we do, why don't we just sleep on it tonight, and see what we feel like in the morning?"
Lincoln rolled his eyes. "No way! That's plenty of time for... whatever, to come and slit our throats while we sleep, or to hitch the next bus to Texas or whatever!"
"Oh, but I thought you weren't worried about that, Mr. Let's Stay Home and Stick Together!" Luna snapped back.
"Hey, I like to just talk, you think I wanted to get involved in shit like this? Come on Luna, you know all to say next, what do you want to do?" he replied in a mocking, but sincere tone.
This was going nowhere, and both of them just stared at eachother, with panic rather than contempt. Sam just stood back, scared at the fact neither knew what to do.
"We do what Sam said, but keep alert." Luna finally replied.
Sam nodded, while Lincoln spoke up. "Okay. Okay. And do we tell mom and dad what we found?"
"Not yet, bro. First thing in the morning, we think of what to tell the police, without it tracing back to us."
Lincoln patted Luna on the shoulder. "Sounds good, come on, let's go home."
The trio retreated back to the car. What they saw in that room was horrifying, and would surely leave nightmares and PTSD for months.
Lincoln got into the back seat, Luna continued driving, as Sam was too shaken up to be behind the wheel.
"Hey, Lincoln." Luna called out to him, as she got comfortable in the driver seat.
"Yeah?"
She looked back at him. "Thanks for coming along. I- I know this was... something else, but I'm really glad you came through."
Lincoln cracked a smile. "It was nothing. You're my sister, Luna. Family always sticks together, especially in difficult times, like this."
These words comforted both of them, while Sam was still stunned in silence, traumatized but what she saw.
"Sammy Sam! You okay over there?" Luna asked, shortly into the drive.
Sam nearly jumped at the sudden break of silence. "Y-yeah, I'll be okay. Just, the sooner this is over, the sooner I can go back to..." she paused, before finishing with "...back to not being afraid."
Luna put a hand on Sam's, comforting her. "I love you, Sam." she smiled. "I love you too, Luna."
They pulled into the driveway shortly after, but as they got out, they saw Luna, relaxing on the front porch, watching them.
They ignored her initially, but Luan spoke up with a grin. "You snuck out, didn't you?"
"Yeah, we just went to get some Wendy's, didn't feel like dad's cooking tonight." Luna replied.
However, the response after was unnerving.
"Would that Wendy's have just opened up Flip's?"
Luna froze up, but Lincoln was the one to approach her, and grab her shirt, yanking her over to him. "Do not say a fucking word to anyone."
This took everyone by shock, and Luan's eyes widened, and she nodded, fearful at the change of character.
Without saying anything else, Lincoln lead them inside. Luan ran up into her and Luna's bed room, while Luna just hung around Sam and Lincoln.
"Lincoln, why did-" Luna was quickly interrupted by Lincoln, who was visibly horrified "How did Luan know we were over there?!"
"I don't-" she was then cut off again. "Luna, I'm serious, it Luan knows we were out there, who else knows?!" he stammered, trying to keep it down from waking anyone up.
He then clenched his chest, before sitting down.
Sam then sat next to him, putting her hand on his back to try and calm him. "Maybe she is the only one, you know how nosey she is, it's okay!"
"Even if she is, she blabs about this, everything is fucked... you know she can't keep a secret, she's just like Lola, and if word gets out, everyone is gonna panic, they'll get involved, put themselves at risk or jeopardize everything... SHIT."
The fear he had was obvious, but contagious. And nobody knows how Luan found out.
Still, Sam was determined to descalate the situation. "I get it Lincoln. We'll figure this out, we're in this together, we already have a lead, and who knows what that'll tell us."
Lincoln, after a few deep breaths, spoke up. "I should have never let you get involved this shit." and with that, he got off the couch and stormed up into his room.
"Lincoln!" Luna called out, to no avail.
"Let him go, Luna. He just needs some time, this is... this is really hard on all of us."
Luna smiled, before getting into a teasing tone. "When did you become the brains in this relationship?"
Sam chuckled, before kissing Luna on the cheek. "The second I found out we got a mystery to solve."
The two then walked up to the bedroom, Sam planned on staying the night, but since it was Sunday, they figured there wasn't much time before school on Monday, and knew they had better get to work.
As Luna slipped off her clothes and put on a nightgown, Sam finally walked in with a can of Sprite, Luna jokingly told herself Sam missed the moment.
But she was soon taken out of her bubble when she saw Sam slip off her shirt and pants, and slip on her long tanktop and pajama pants, taking off her bra in the process but keeping her panties.
Luna could have passed out then and there from the sight, but thankfully Sam didn't notice her blush or eyes peered on to her.
Damn, she's got some nice b-cups.
After getting situated, Sam flopped down on the bottom bunk next to Luna, and the two girls snuggled up, with Luna pressed against the wall.
They looked at eachother with seductive smiles, combined with their innocence of antics. Luna was the one who leaned in to kiss Sam, but took her by surprise by adding tongue, soon engaging in a tongue war with her.
And Sam was competitive, very competitive, swirling her tongue in her soulmate's mouth and rubbing her hand on Luna's cheek, which only got more aggressive, and while Luna wrapped her arms around Sam, she chickened out in trying anything further. After they got worn out, they called it a night after 12 minutes and decided to lay back down.
"Hey Sam?" Luna said, in a cute, sleepy voice.
"What's up, Lunes?" Sam yawned out. "I just wanted to thank you for always having my back. You really are my everything."
Those words touched Sam's heart, and brought an ear to ear smile on her face, and she rolled over to face Luna.
"I'll always be here Luna, you changed my life for the best, the first second you entered it. I just wanna make you feel that same way."
This lead to a quick kiss from Luna, who stroked Sam's beautiful blonde hair back. "You are like... so perfect bruh."
Sam held Luna's hand as she rolled back over. "Hey, maybe I'll dream about you while you're next to me, *yawn* wouldn't that be- wouldn't that be something..." though after these words, Sam was immediately out of it, and Luna followed up.
The night was a slow, progressive one. It didn't come to an immediate shock that both girls could even sleep so peacefully after what they'd encountered, their comfort zone lied within the other, and at that moment, it was just bliss as the two girls had eachother, untouchable by the cruelty of the world.
Luna would dream about opening up a record store in the 1990s, as despite the fact she was born in 2007, she still fantasized about what could have been, maybe one day she'd have her own music label and the Moon Goat's could hit it off.
Luna walked through her store, organizing the new vinyl records she had got in, so many good bands. Metallica, Slipknot, Grateful Dead, Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, and she soon saw her first customer of the day, who walked over to her. "Hey, can I help you find anything?" Luna asked, with a joyful expression. The customer, an older lady, simply just stared motionlessly at Luna, before opening her mouth and her eyes blacked out, releasing a screech that soon gave Luna's blood pressure a huge rush, and she woke up to hear a loud scream, as if the dream had came true.
Sam had unintentionally mashed Luna in between the walls and her back, as she screamed at something with absolute nightmare fuel.
"Wh- what ha-" Luna jumped up, frantically trying to see the source.
And sure enough, there it stood, plain as day.
The Plague Saw You
Also written in blood, except this time, it was fresh, still dripping onto the floor.
Luna froze up, and held Sam, who burrowed her face into Luna's arms, crying, while Luna herself was pressed against the wall with her chest dropped, anxiety flooding her at frightening levels.
Lucy, overhearing the commotion and investigating, ran up to Lincoln's room and began banging on the door, screaming his name in a loud, urgent tone multiple times.
Meanwhile, Luan, who was nesting on the top bunk, finally woke up, but began wiping her face, frozen up trying to comprehend what the hell had just happened, and if this was a prank or a dream.
Both Luna and Sam were paralyzed with overwhelming fear, unable to move or speak, just as Lincoln ran in through the opened door to the bedroom with his gun and still in his boxers, looking around the hallway and in the room to see what happened.
It was only when Lincoln showed up, Luna found her ability to speak again, and slowly calmed down. "It was...the wall.. he... he was..."
And before long, sisters began to walk in the room one by one, and just as Luan walked up to see if it was blood or paint, Lincoln, without warning, struck her in the jaw with his fist, dropping his gun in the process as she staggered into the dresser, bringing down multiple ornaments as she crashed into it.
"This isn't funny, Luan! You think this shit is a joke, you have Luna and Sam scared half to death!" he boomed out, certainly getting the attention of the remaining sisters and before long, everyone except Lily and their parents was now in the bedroom.
Luan, battling tears and confusion, got up quickly and shoved Lincoln back. "You think that was me?!"
Before Lincoln could respond, Lynn spoke up. "Woah! Dude, why did you get paint all over the wall?" her sleepy voice was anything but relaxed.
Then, Lori got in between both Lincoln and Luan, preventing further attacks.
Lucy, however, pointed directly at the wall. "That is not paint." she called out in her quiet, grim voice.
Lynn, unphased, walked up to it and scooped some up. "Hey Lola, think fast!" she smirked, before slinging a glob of the 'paint' onto Lola's face.
"Eyuckk! Lynn, you're gonna pay for that, right n-" and before she could finish, some slipped into her mouth. And she recognized, the taste was the same as when she lost her tooth. And then, she realized it was blood.
"OH MY GOD!" she screamed, swinging her arms around hysterically, causing the rest of the sisters to back away and grasp the situation. Lynn's eyes became wide, and she began to hyperventilate.
"Whose blood..." was all she could say.
Lincoln was the one to put a halt to the situation. "This was just another one of Luan's sick kicks, wherever you got this blood, you better explain now, because this isn't a joking matter."
"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, LINCOLN?!" Luan screamed at him, throwing her arms out.
And sure enough, Lynn Sr and Rita were in the doorway, and they didn't look happy.
"What is the meaning of this, kids?" Rita demanded, as she saw Lola and Lynn rush into the bathroom and jump into the shower, still wearing clothes as the water blasted onto them.
Now, Lincoln realized he was on the spot. "Luan thought it would be super, to play some sick prank on Luna and Sam, and I thought someone was hurt, so I panicked."
Lynn Sr scratched his head, before asking more. "Why is there paint all over our ding-dang walls, and what does that even mean?"
Now, Lincoln knew he was screwed, and didn't wanna answer. Unfortunately, Luna spoke up.
"We saw something at Flip's, we wanted to check out what happened, and there was something just like this... it was blood, it said 'The Plague Will Consume You', and..."
She took a deep breath, before continuing. "Luan was waiting for us when we got home, and she told us she knew we were there, and then I woke up and there's blood on the walls saying THIS!"
And now, the unhappy expression grew into fury, as both parents looked at Luan. "Luan, explain this right now." Rita ordered.
And with an eye roll, Luan did just that. "Okay, I didn't do any of this, alright? I heard Luna and Lincoln talking in the bedroom with Sam about going to check that place out, so I decided to wait outside and scare them by telling them I knew, I didn't have anything to do with this blood, paint or whatever!"
Of course, Lynn Sr and Rita weren't buying it, especially knowing Luan's past with over the top 'humor' as she called it. "This is unacceptable, and you brought real blood into this house, and vandalized the wall with it?! And you broke into Flip's?!"
Lincoln almost grinned seeing Luan getting karma, while both him, Luna and Sam soon calmed, believing this whole time, it was just an elaborate Luan scheme. However, they were in for another low blow.
"Luan, you're going to clean this mess up, and you're grounded for two weeks. And Lincoln, Luna, you're both grounded for one week for sneaking out of the house and trespassing!"
Rita then followed up. "Sam, I'm sorry but you'll have to go home in the morning, you can stay here until then and Luna isn't allowed to leave the house for a week, except for school."
Sam then fell back against the pillow and sighed.
"So this whole time, you were just getting a rise out of us, Luan?" Luna growled at her sister, beyond pissed.
Luan just rolled her eyes again. "You know what, I'm not even indulging, I'm not talking to you anymore." and walked out of the room.
"Where do you think you're going?!" Lynn Sr called out to Luan.
"To get something to clean the walls with, what do you think?!" she yelled. "Don't give me that tone, young lady!" he clashed back.
The night was certainly eventful, but atleast it was all just a prank. Or so the poor three had thought, or possibly just hoped.
Thank you all for reading! I'll be back soon enough with another chapter.
