Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another chapter of "A Long Distance Ship"! In the previous chapter, Ash and friends continued the path to Sootopolis City and his 8th badge, with Brock's Lombre evolving into Ludicolo along the way. Ash went on more adventures since then, and in this episode he catches a new Pokemon. What is it, and what has Misty been up to? Let's find out!

Subject: A cool new Pokemon

Hey, Misty! We are still travelling across Izabe Island in order to get to Sootopolis City and my 8th Gym Badge. We encountered so many new Pokemon on the island. I ended up in an underground maze created by Trapinch, which all evolved into Vibrava to help Pikachu and I deal with Team Rocket. And just yesterday, we learned about Absol, a Pokemon who is misunderstood as it is said to bring disasters, when it was only warning of them. That brings us to today, as we ended up in a Pokemon Center in a snowy mountain. We ended up meeting a Snorunt who frequents this Pokemon Center, and likes playing tricks on those who come here. He ended up taking my badges, forcing me to chase him down throughout the Pokemon Center, and even out of it into a blizzard! So yeah, we didn't have the BEST first interaction. Despite this, Snorunt pulled me out of the blizzard and into an igloo, and helped me save Pikachu when THEY decided to show up. After that, I had a battle with Snorunt and ended up catching him for my sixth team member! I am not sure how useful he will be against the next gym leader, but it is still good to have a new friend!

Hey Ash! It sounds like you have gone through a lot on your journey since we last spoke with each other. And it is also nice to hear that you caught a new Pokemon. Snorunt might not be a Water-type Pokemon, but from the looks of it, he is a super cute Pokemon. (Although Ice basically IS frozen water, so maybe my biases are stretching.) Either way, it is great that it helped you against Team Rocket after putting you through all that.

I had quite the day at the Cerulean Gym as well. Lily from the Johto region decided to pay us a visit to the gym today, and it was also one of the days where Lily (my sister) was at the gym, so let's just say that it got really confusing when I wanted to talk to one of them. Anyways, PokeWitch Lily wanted to show me a new spell. Remember the time when she accidentally turned you into a Pikachu? Well yeah, she did the reverse of that scenario by turning Togetic into a human. She said it would wear off after a few days, though, like your change. But I think it will allow us to get closer. I included a picture of Togetic as a human, and I will tell you more about our time the next time we talk. Good luck, Ash!
