Hello, everyone! I'm sorry this chapter also took so long to write. I had another busy week and then the next two I kept getting caught up in other things or not feeling well, thus I would only get a little bit done during the week or on Saturdays, with Sundays being my most productive days. And since I have a lease ending soon, that's only going to make the next chapter take longer as well. I've also been planning out the story for the alternate timeline which is currently called Sapphire Dragon Alter. I'm deeply sorry as I was hoping to have the 50th chapter posted before this story's first anniversary. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!
After twenty days straight of training, Pyra was waking up in the bedroom she shared with Luke only to find him nowhere in sight. However, she did hear the sound of a shower head being turned off and saw that the bathroom door had been closed. Pyra got out of bed and walked up to the bathroom door before knocking.
"Luke, are you okay?" Pyra called out. "Didn't you take a bath last night?"
"Hold on! I'll be right out!"
Pyra realized that the fan in the bathroom was turned on, so she surmised that Luke didn't hear her clearly. After about a minute of waiting, the bathroom door opened from the inside and Luke came out.
"I'm sorry, I just had an urge to jump in the shower. All those weeks of nonstop training hit me like a truck and I thought a shower could help me relax a little."
Due to all the training Luke had gone through over the past three weeks, Luke had developed a more toned and muscular build and Pyra couldn't resist staring at him. Suddenly, Pyra came up to Luke and hugged him, making him blush.
"P-Pyra?"
"… S-so hard…"
"Um… Pyra?"
"Huh?" Pyra realized what she was doing and quickly backed away with red cheeks. "OH! I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me!"
"Maybe you're a little exhausted, too. If you want to take a shower, go right ahead. Excuse me."
Pyra gave Luke room to leave the bathroom and she changed into Mythra who watched him as he walked out.
"… What I wouldn't do to press my breasts on his hardened chest…" Mythra unconsciously mumbled to herself with pink cheeks.
After changing into their summer uniforms, Karlel had come to pick them up, although thanks to all the training he had done, Luke had managed to learn how to use his Devil wings to fly and followed her and Mythra back to the main Gremory estate.
"I've got a few meetings to attend, so you won't be seeing me for a while." Karlel told them as soon as they arrived at their destination. "I'm sure the girls are going to be very happy to see your hot new bod, Naughty Boy."
After giving a wave, Karlel had flew off and Luke appeared confused.
"… What was Karlel talking about?"
"O-oh! Nothing!" Pyra turned her reddened face away from Luke.
"Hey, Luke-kun!"
Luke and Pyra turned around and saw Yuuto walking up to them, his school jersey was tattered in various areas and his face was firmer than it used to be.
"I can tell from here that you've had quite the workout." Yuuto remarked.
"My body does feel tighter and bulkier than before…"
"I'm kind of jealous. Even after all of my training, my body can't put on the extra muscle."
"Oh, Luke, Kiba?" A woman's voice rang out.
The guys and Pyra easily recognized the voice as Xenovia's, but when they saw her, she was completely covered in bandages.
"What happened to you?" Luke stared at Xenovia with wide eyes.
Xenovia looked over herself before speaking. "Well, whenever I got injured, I just bandaged it up and kept going. Eventually, I looked like this."
This looks like her Halloween costume… Luke thought to himself before he noticed something about both Yuuto and Xenovia. I can sense that their auras have gotten stronger. Actually, my ability to perceive auras has greatly improved. It must be a result of my training. It's a relief knowing I'm definitely getting stronger. "Hm?"
Luke then noticed that Xenovia was intensely staring at him.
"… I see you've gained a perfect body for baby making, I'm impressed." Xenovia nodded in approval at Luke's new toned body.
"Is having a baby with me all you think about?" Luke side-eyed Xenovia.
"Luke! Yuuto-senpai! Xenovia-senpai!" Another familiar voice was calling out to them from the mansion's entrance.
Fumiko was running up to them, but she stopped the moment she saw Luke and got a closer look at him.
"Oh, L-L-L-L-L-Luke…" Fumiko started stuttering like crazy and her face was completely red while her eyes were completely focused on Luke. "Y-y-you're…"
"I'm what, Fumiko?" Luke raised his eyebrow in slight confusion.
Before Luke could get a response from Fumiko, he saw Koneko walking up to him.
"… Welcome back, Luke-san." Koneko greeted him.
"You're looking a lot better, Koneko." Luke gave Koneko a soft smile.
Koneko nodded. "… It's thanks to you, Luke-san."
At that moment, Luke noticed something different about Koneko. She had a small smile on her face that made her look so cute that he couldn't stop from blushing and didn't even notice that Koneko was staring at him. Suddenly, Kayoko appeared behind Luke and hugged him from behind.
"Wow, Luke-san! You look so much stronger than before!" Kayoko exclaimed.
Luke blushed from feeling Kayoko's breasts pressing against his back.
"Oh, you're all back?"
A voice spoke up that Luke could never forget and his suspicions were correct as a familiar crimson-haired beauty approached them alongside an equally familiar Yamato Nadeshiko.
"President!" Luke couldn't contain his joy seeing Rias coming up to him.
Rias started sprinting toward Luke and hugged him almost instantly with her head on his shoulder.
"I've missed you so much, Luke!" Rias seemed like she was about to break into tears, but then she felt something underneath Luke's shirt. "Oh! My! Luke, you've been working out. Your chest feels wider and your arms a little thicker, but you still look like my adorable Luke."
When Rias pulled herself back, Luke finally saw that there was a bit of blood dripping from her nose.
"President, are you okay?" Luke asked in concern.
"Never been better." Rias gave Luke a thumbs up with a confident smile. "I'm just excited to see you, that's all."
I don't feel convinced… Luke then turned to Akeno and she also had some blood dripping from her nose. What is going on?
After everyone went inside the mansion to change their clothes, Luke was surprised that the training everyone else went through wasn't as harsh as his first five days with Tannin. Even Yuuto and Xenovia were sleeping in cottages whereas Luke had to rough it out on leaves, and that's before the important factor of being chased around the mountain by a former Dragon King. When Luke told them about his experience in his room, they would have thought he was making the story up if he wasn't such an honest person.
"This entire place may be called 'Hell', but those first few days were the real Hell here." Luke shuddered at the memory. "But I'm the lucky one compared to Issei. He had to spend twenty days there… assuming he survived that long."
"You poor thing…" Rias then pulled Luke close to her and rested his head in her bosom. "I'm so glad you held out. You've become quite toned. And you even managed to unlock your Balance Breaker and rescue Koneko. I'm so proud of you, Luke."
Grayfia then entered the room. "Lady Rias, there are guests here to see you and your peerage."
"Oh?" Rias looked back at Grayfia with a somewhat surprised look.
"I just wanted to see how my little brother is doing after all that training."
Everyone was surprised to see Seth and his peerage enter the room.
"Seth!" Luke stood up as soon as he saw his older brother.
"Wow, Luke!" Seth grinned upon laying eyes on him. "Looks like you got quite the workout during your training! I'm sure the ladies have had a hard time trying to control themselves around you!"
Yeah, like women would genuinely find me attractive…
Annabelle quickly placed her hand over her nose and mouth. "Y-you look great, Luke!" Oh, dear Satan, he looks so hot! She was trying her best to hide her nosebleed from everyone else.
Setsuna didn't take her eyes off of Luke for even a millisecond.
Emery just grinned upon seeing Luke. "Damn, Luke, you're looking sexy!"
"E-Emery?!" Luke stammered with a red face.
"How did your match against Seekvaira go, Seth?" Rias asked.
"I managed to win, but her Queen and one of her Pawns certainly didn't make it easy." Seth rubbed the back of his own neck like he was a bit exhausted. "And that's before Seekvaira herself."
"Seekvaira is formidable in both tactics and ability. I would be surprised if you at least held your own against her, let alone win." Rias said.
"She is, but thankfully my servants managed to defeat the rest of their opponents and handled those problem servants so I could deal with Seekvaira myself." Seth stated. "Although, she wasn't as tough as those two."
"Still, defeating Seekvaira and her peerage in a Rating Game is no easy feat."
"I'm hoping to face you all later on in the tournament." Seth then turned his attention to Luke. "Especially you. So, don't any of lose this until our match, okay?"
Rias smirked in response to Seth's challenge. "I don't plan on losing another Rating Game ever again!"
Later that night, Xenovia and Fumiko came into Luke's room and the three of them agreed to share the bed again. Sometime later, Luke noticed that Xenovia was lying a little away from him and Fumiko and staring at the canopy.
"Can't sleep, Xenovia?" Luke asked in a hushed tone so he wouldn't wake Fumiko.
"I'm still not used to sleeping in the same bed with a man, even if nothing sexual is happening." Xenovia replied quietly enough for Luke to hear. "But I will need to get used to it if I want to be one of your brides."
"Xenovia, how many times do I have to tell you? You should have children with the man you love."
"I know. I was also told that the man I love is someone who fills my heart with joy just being around him and makes me want to smile. And I believe I already found him."
"That seems awfully quick. Don't you feel like you're rushing it?"
"I might be rushing it… but that doesn't matter to me. I'm certain this man will be my future husband."
Luke and Xenovia heard a soft sigh coming from Fumiko as she seemed to be dreaming.
"Heheh… I can see why everyone finds Fumiko so cute." Xenovia lightly chuckled and stared at Fumiko for a few seconds. "… Luke? I want to try something that might help me fall asleep."
"… It better not involve sex."
"No, it's not that. Can you… wrap your arm around me?"
"Um… s-sure…"
Xenovia scooted toward a blushing Luke with his arm held out. Once Xenovia was next to Luke, he curled his arm around her shoulders and she started to feel drowsy as her eyes started feeling heavy.
"Fumiko… has the right… idea… so… warm…"
Xenovia fell asleep and Luke couldn't help but bush at how cute Xenovia looked being cradled in his arm. Eventually, his eyes also got heavier and he drifted off to sleep.
In the evening of the following day, Luke was waiting in the parlor while wearing Kuoh Academy's summer uniform with the addition of an armband which had the Gremory emblem inscribed on it. As the women of the Gremory peerage were all getting ready for the upcoming party and Yuuto and Gasper had gone elsewhere, Luke was all by his lonesome until he heard a pair of familiar voices.
"Hey!" "Sigmund-kun?"
Luke looked over and saw Issei and Saji walking up to him.
"Hyoudou, Saji? What are you guys doing here?" Luke stood up from his seat.
"Melody-sama and her peerage will be going to the party along with Rias-senpai and Kaichou." Issei answered.
"But then we started wandering around this mansion without a clue on where to go." Saji sighed before looking at Luke with a serious expression. "The match is coming up soon."
"Yeah." Luke nodded.
"I trained like hell."
"You're not the only one. The first few days, I was chased around in the mountains by a former Dragon King."
"Yikes, that's harsh." Saji winced.
"I had to do that for twenty days!" Issei pointed out.
"You both had it pretty rough. My training wasn't a walk in the park, either." Saji scratched his cheek. "Hey, Hyoudou, Sigmund, do you remember what happened at the gathering last month?"
Both Luke and Issei nodded.
"Kaichou and I were serious… My new dream… is to become a teacher!"
It's much easier and more sensible compared to getting the Student Council President pregnant. Luke thought.
"What are you going to teach, Saji?" Issei asked.
Saji was still feeling embarrassed about revealing his new dream. "The Rating Game, of course. Kaichou wants to build a school where anyone can go to learn the game, commoners and nobles alike. She says that Devil society has been slowly progressing from the era of traditions and prejudices, but there are still those who want to conserve the old way of thinking, which is why current Rating Game school only permit nobles to attend. But Rating Games are where all Devils, regardless of class, are on equal ground. At least, that's what the Great Satans say. Everyone is technically on equal ground, but a commoner can't have access to the experience or education of a noble. And since Rating Games are the only way for Low-Class Devils to become High-Class Devils, you can see the contradiction there."
Luke and Issei could see a fire in Saji's eyes.
"Kaichou wants to change that. She wants to show the world that even the lowest-ranking Devil can play in the Rating Game. That's why she wants to build a Rating Game school here in the Underworld. She's been giving it her all so people who never had a chance to show off their true power and have a shot at a better life. Even if it's only a one percent chance, there's a possibility they can become a High-Class Devil! Hyoudou! Sigmund! That's what we're all aiming for, right? It's because of that small percent chance that we can even have those goals to aspire to!"
"Right."
"Yeah!"
Both Luke and Issei agreed.
Saji then raised his fist. "That's why I want to be a teacher there! I'll study everything about the Rating Game, fight in them and get a lot of experience! That's how I'll become a teacher for Pawns! Kaichou wants my help and believes even someone like me can become a good instructor… I've done a lot of stupid things and caused problems for my parents. Kaichou gave me a goal to work toward! I'll stay by her side for the rest of my life! Kaichou's dream is my dream!" Saji then paused before becoming bashful. "Heh, I still haven't told my parents I'm a Devil. When I brought up to her that I wanted to be a teacher, she thought I was pulling her leg, but she seemed relieved, too."
I don't know why, but Saji doesn't look like he's being completely honest about telling his mother… "Becoming a teacher is an admirable goal, Saji. I wish you and Council President Sitri the best of luck."
"Be the best teacher ever, Saji!" Issei cheered his fellow Pawn on.
"I won't lose to either of you in our matches, Sigmund, Hyoudou!" Saji proclaimed.
"Sorry, Saji, but I'm not going to lose, either!" Issei pumped his fist.
"Me, either! President said she has no intention of losing ever again and I'll make sure she follows through on that claim!"
Issei then had a mischievous grin on his face. "… By the way, guys."
"Huh?" Luke and Saji turned to Issei.
Issei raised a single finger into the air. "I've heard that a woman's nipples are like doorbells… because they make a sound when you press them."
"W-what?!" Saji took great interest in Issei's words.
However, Luke just narrowed his eyes at Issei like he was saying something incredibly stupid.
"Azazel told me that breasts are filled with infinite possibilities. I don't want to move onto the next life without getting to rub them… squeeze them… dig my fingers in them…"
"Hey, Hyoudou, when will I be able to touch my master's breasts?" Saji spoke with a fire in his eyes.
"Who knows?" Issei shrugged. "Maybe someday? Hell, maybe you'll unlock Balance Breaker with it."
"S-seriously?!" Saji looked shock, but excited.
"… That sounds completely ridiculous!" Luke finally spoke up.
"You say that…" Issei then pointed his index finger forward as if he was poking something. "But I've seen it happen with my own eyes and hands."
… You cannot be serious… Luke stared at Issei with widened eyes and an immeasurable feeling of bewilderment. Trying to come off as cool, Luke pointed his thumb at himself. "Well, I unlocked my Balance Breaker while protecting Koneko from a wanted criminal."
"That sounds kind of lame, Luke-kun."
"Yeah."
Issei and Saji were clearly unimpressed by Luke's accomplishment.
Fuck you guys!
"Luke, I'm sorry we kept you waiting. Oh, Hyoudou and Saji are here, too?"
When the guys heard Rias's voice, their jaws dropped at all of the women wearing stunningly beautiful dresses, their faces adorned with makeup and each lady's hair was styled like that of a princess. Rias was wearing a lovely red dress that made her look like she came straight out of a fairy tale and Luke just stared at her in awe. He then saw Akeno wearing a blue Western-style dress that emphasized her hips, followed by Xenovia in a black dress that showed off her strong arms and legs but still made her look like a well-bred lady. Koneko was in a cute and frilly forest green dress that made her look even more adorable than she already was. Fumiko was feeling shy about her lovely red dress that showed off a surprising amount of cleavage, causing her to blush the moment Luke turned to her. However, Luke then noticed Pyra and she was donning a black dress that showed a decent amount of cleavage and a good amount of her left leg.
"H-how do I look, Luke?" Pyra asked as she seemed very bashful.
"Uh… uh…" Luke was completely speechless at the beautiful women before him.
"Still the same as ever, Lukey." Melody walked up to the front while wearing a lovely pink dress.
"Melody, we're not kids, anymore!" Luke became embarrassed.
"'Lukey'?" Rias raised an eyebrow at Melody in curiosity.
"That's what I would call Luke when we were growing up." Melody explained before noticing Luke's additional bulk. "But I can see he really grew up these last few weeks."
"That's adorable!" Rias exclaimed. I think I know what I'm going to call Luke from now on…
Little did Rias know she wasn't the only woman there thinking that.
"Luke is here!" Katherine quickly came forward, stopped when she saw Luke and stared at him.
Katherine was wearing a cute dress like Koneko, except this one was red and black, befitting of a Dhampir.
Katherine is probably staring at my new body like the ladies were doing yesterday.
However, Katherine didn't seem to have any hints of a blush as she continued staring at him. Eventually, she walked up to Luke and hugged him, surprising most of the girls in the room.
"I… really missed you…"
Katherine's voice sounded a bit sad as she parted from Luke and stepped back. He noticed that her eyes were glazed over as if she's trying to hold back her tears.
Katherine must have really missed me while I was gone…
"Issei!"
This time someone was trying to catch Issei's attention and he saw Asia in a white dress with golden hems. If not for the gold, it would look like a wedding dress.
"Asia, you look so beautiful!" Issei was practically crying.
Asia blushed as she smiled. "Thank you, Issei! That makes me very happy!"
"How do I look Issei-kun?"
As Issei heard Misaki's voice, his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as he saw his senior wearing a violet dress showing off her slender legs and a large amount of cleavage.
"No need to tell me, Issei-kun. Your expression already did the talking." Misaki winked.
"You just have to show off, don't you, Misaki-senpai." Akira said as she came up to her.
Akira was wearing the same red dress as Fumiko. While her bust wasn't as big as her younger sister, it did show off her toned arms. When Akira caught Issei looking at her, she blushed somewhat shyly.
"How… Issei-kun, how do I look?" Akira asked while looking to the side.
"You look great, Akira!" Issei gave her a thumbs up and a genuine grin.
Akira's face became red as she continued looking away from Issei. "Th… thank you…"
Issei then felt someone tugging on his sleeve and he looked down to see Azusa wearing a non-revealing maroon dress.
"Azusa-chan, did you change your hair?" Issei asked.
Azusa blushed and nodded as she stroked her new twintails. As she walked back to the rest of the girls, Issei blushed at seeing how much Azusa's dress emphasized her shapely rear.
I didn't know Azusa had such a great ass! Issei thought as he tried to contain his nosebleed. What will Hikaru be wearing?! Knowing her, it's going to be something incredibly sexy!
Issei looked around and his face deadpanned upon seeing a person in a cloak.
"… Ueda-chan?"
"How'd you know it was me, Stud Muffin?!" The cloaked Hikaru exclaimed.
'Stud Muffin'? "Because everyone else is here." Issei replied.
"Hikaru's not good with crowds and we couldn't convince out of the cloak…" Melody sighed. "Which is a shame because we picked out such a nice dress for her. At the very least, she's wearing it under the cloak."
"Saji, is something wrong?"
Issei looked to see Sona in a dress that showed off her shoulders staring at Saji in concern as he was sulking about how she didn't seem interested in showing off to him like the other women. The moment Luke saw that Gasper was also wearing a dress, he deadpanned.
"President, is it okay for Gasper to wear a dress to the party?" Luke whispered to Rias. "I know he likes wearing girls' clothes, but I'm concerned he might not be able to handle the attention he's going to get at the party."
"I tried talking him out of it, but he said that he wants to get better at being around other people." Rias whispered back.
This seems like a kid trying to learn how to swim by jumping into shark tank. Luke thought with worry.
After the males of the Gremory, Morag and Sitri peerages changed into their formal clothes, with Luke wearing a dark blue formal suit, they went outside where Tannin and his peerage had arrived to take them to the party.
"I am here, Issei Hyoudou, just as I promised." Tannin said.
"Thanks, Tannin!" Issei expressed his gratitude.
Tannin then looked at Luke. "It has been some time, Luke Sigmund."
"Indeed, it has." Luke responded. "I managed to attain my Balance Breaker about a week ago."
"I am impressed both you and Issei Hyoudou accomplished your training goals before the deadline. Anyway, as long as you're riding on our backs, I'll provide you with a special barrier to keep your hair and clothes from getting too ruffled. I've learned that women tend to be very attentive about that."
"It is good to see you again, Luke."
Luke recognized the serene voice and saw Jade walking up to him.
"Jade!" Luke smiled upon seeing her.
"Luke, who is this woman?" Rias inquired.
Jade lightly bowed to Rias. "I am Jade, the current Emerald Dragon Emperor, half-dragon daughter of Eupherio and adoptive daughter of Tannin."
"What?!" Rias was shocked.
"We'll tell you about it on the way to the party." Pyra placed a hand on Rias's shoulder.
Melody then walked up to the dragons. "Tannin, thank you for offering to take us to the party venue. Several members of Sona's peerage are also here. Do you mind if they travel with us?"
"Of course we they can join, Lady Melody."
Everyone climbed onto the dragons' backs before taking off into the skies of the Underworld with Issei getting the best spot on Tannin's head. Luke was sharing his ride with Rias and Pyra, and Jade was flying alongside them with her emerald dragon wings. One the way the to venue, Luke and Pyra explained to Rias how Melody is a human-dragon hybrid found in ice by Tannin a decade ago.
"When I heard there was a new Emerald Dragon Emperor, I never would have considered that they were a human-dragon hybrid." Rias said.
"Hey, Jade, there's something I've been wondering for some time now." Luke said. "Why did Tannin reincarnate into a Devil in the first place?"
"There is a rare fruit called the dragon apple that a rare species of dragons need to eat to survive." Jade started explaining. "Due to the changes in the human world, it can't be found there anymore. The only place where the dragon fruit still grows is here in the Underworld, but Devils and Fallen Angels aren't very fond of dragons, so Tannin needed to become a Devil and rise through your ranks to be granted land. Tannin has dedicated his new life as a Devil to preserving as many species of dragons as he can, which is why his decision to adopt me came so easily to him."
"Tannin sure is admirable." Luke said. "He definitely lives up to the title of 'Dragon King', even though he isn't considered one anymore."
It's a lifelong goal. Opheria spoke to Luke's mind. Not unlike your goal of making women happy.
Although, I remember you saying that I will have multiple goals during my life as a Devil. I feel like I have a lot to live up to after hearing Tannin's goal.
You shouldn't force goals upon yourself. If they come to you naturally as you live out your life, that's a healthier way to live in the long run.

Eventually, Tannin and his peerage dropped everyone off nearby the high-rise hotel where the pre-game banquet was being held. Afterward, the young Devils all got into an extremely long limousine until they arrived at the hotel. Luke asked Rias where Karlel was and she said that the Fallen Angel had some urgent business to attend to but would be coming to the party in a little bit. After the peerages' Queens checked everyone in, they went their separate ways before taking elevators to the top floor where the party was being held.
"Luke, if anyone from a distinguished family approaches you, be sure to greet them properly, okay?" Rias suggested.
"Oh, your mother made sure I knew how to carry myself at these gatherings." Luke replied. "Although, I'm a bit confused. I thought this party is about our upcoming match."
"That's just a pretext for the leaders to enjoy themselves. They probably have four or five afterparties in mind and started drinking."
We haven't even arrived at the party yet and President is already annoyed. Not that I blame her.
Once the elevator stopped and they entered the banquet hall, Luke had to accompany Rias to greet many other noble Devils, especially those curious to meet the Sapphire Dragon Emperor. And thanks to Venelana's lessons, Luke was able to come across as a well-mannered young man to them.
Once they were finished with the greetings, Luke immediately went to a table where Gasper, Koneko, and Fumiko. Both Luke and Fumiko were feeling exhausted as it was their first time attending one of these formal gatherings.
"How are you doing, Fumiko?" Luke asked, knowing how shy she is.
"I got through it okay, but I'm still feeling nervous." Fumiko answered.
"Everyone, I've brought you all food." Xenovia came by carrying a number of extravagant dishes.
"Thanks, Xenovia." Luke said. "Sorry we had you running errands for us."
"It's not a problem." Xenovia insisted before handing Fumiko a glass of juice. "Here, Fumiko."
"Thank you, Xenovia-senpai." Fumiko smiled before taking a few sips of her juice.
Just as Luke was ready to dine on his meal that Xenovia handed to him when a young woman in a pink dress came up to him. As soon as he saw her curly blonde hair, he remembered who she was.
"You're that phoenix guy's sister."
"My name is Ravel Phenex!" The young woman haughtily stated. "Geez, this is what I hate about Low-Class Devils!"
"I'm sorry for being rude." Luke tried his best to be polite even though Ravel was just the opposite. "I did beat up your brother pretty badly."
"Because of you, he hasn't left his room. Being defeated by you and losing Rias in the same day were real shocks to him. I'm not that angry about it. My brother relied too much on our family's immortality to win and got cocky. It was a lesson he really needed to learn."
"You don't mince your words, do you?" Luke winced at her brutal but correct criticism of Riser's attitude. "And I thought you were a part of his peerage."
"Actually, I've been traded, so I'm in my mother's peerage now. Riser has one of her unused Pieces now. Mother doesn't play the Rating Game and said that she would trade me again once I find someone's peerage I would like to join. In other words, I'm a free Bishop."
President did mention to me that it's common for Devils to trade peerage members as long as they're the same piece or pieces. So, if I was promoted to a High-Class Devil and wanted Fumiko in my peerage, I could trade one of my unused Bishop pieces to President in exchange.
"B-by the way, Sapphire Dragon Emperor-"
"You don't need to call me that. My name is Luke Sigmund. You look like you're the same age as me, so you can just address me as 'Luke' like my friends." I know Devils can change their appearance to look much younger than they are, but her behavior makes me think she's a first-year high schooler.
"Can I… can I really call you by your name?!" Ravel seemed somewhat happen by Luke's suggestion before clearing her throat and calming herself. "S-Sir Luke, then."
"You don't need to call me 'Sir'."
"No! It's important!"
Luke was perplexed by Ravel's behavior until another woman walked up to her.
"Ravel, a friend of Master Riser would like to see you."
Although Luke only briefly met her when Riser first introduced his peerage, he recognized the woman as one of the Riser's Rooks, Isabella.
"Very well." Ravel said to Isabella before politely bowing to Luke. "Sir Luke, why don't we chat over a cup of tea sometime? A-a-and maybe…" She started blushing and became fidgety. "I could b-bake a cake for you?"
Ravel quickly curtsied before hurrying off without any additional words.
"You must be Luke Sigmund." Isabella waved to him. "We never got to meet during the Rating Game, but you really kicked Riser's ass at the end there. I really wish I got the chance to fight you then. Even if I lost, I'd still like to brag about it when you become even stronger."
"Are you Ravel's escort?"
"I guess you could call it that. Like Master Riser, there are things Ravel finds difficult to deal with. Ever since our Rating Game match, you're all she ever talks about. Your fight with Master Riser really left an impression on her."
"Sounds like she's bitter about the things I said to her and breaking off her brother's engagement."
"No, she's not bitter. The opposite, actually. After summer break, Ravel will be enrolling in your school in the human world."
"Ravel's going to Kuoh Academy with the rest of us?"
Isabella nodded. "She wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. I think she wants to get to know you better, Luke."
"If I don't see her later, do you mind telling Ravel that I would enjoy having tea with her?"
"Sure thing. She'll be happy to hear that. In any case, I'll leave you be. Enjoy yourselves."
Isabella left with a casual wave.
"Sounds like you've gotten the attention of another young lady, Naughty Boy."
Luke didn't even need to turn around to know that voice belonged to Karlel. However, he then saw Koneko blankly staring behind Luke, Gasper in a state of complete shock and Fumiko's face was completely red and her mouth agape.
… Oh, Maou, what is Karlel wearing?
He cautiously turned his head in the direction of Karlel's voice and his eyes nearly popped out like a cartoon character. Karlel was wearing an extremely revealing black dress with a cut in the middle of the torso that showed off both her cleavage and her bellybutton, and it was backless to the point where it showed off a generous amount of side-boob and from behind one would think she was walking around topless. There were also large slits on both sides of her legs so that her thighs were largely visible. A single gust of wind would be enough to cause a wardrobe malfunction.
"I can tell you love my dress." Karlel smiled at Luke's reaction. "After all, I picked it out especially for you."
Far away, at an Underworld prison, Kaidon was sitting in his prison cell writing in Devil letters the names of Melody and Luke into a book and then furiously stabbed them with the pen until there were several holes in the book and the pen itself broke, causing a ton of ink to stain the book and his hand.
"GUH!"
After hearing what sounded like a death gurgle and something hitting the floor with a thud, Kaidon stood up and slowly approached the bars of his cell.
"Oh deary me! I seemed to have made a bit of a mess. Oh well."
A voice echoed from the hallway and Kaidon saw a silver-haired figure who appeared to be a middle-aged man standing alongside Giardas.
"Giardas, you're out of your cell!" Kaidon tried to keep his voice down, but still expressed surprise.
"Is this the man you wanted me to free?" The mysterious silver-haired man asked. "He doesn't seem like anything special."
"If I'm going to work for you guys, I'm going to need people to guard me that I can trust." Giardas said.
"Who is this man?" Kaidon questioned.
Giardas went up to the bars of Kaidon's cell. "He's a man who can give you power. He mostly wants me for my technological skills, but I need you and Juphine if I'm going to be working with them."
Kaidon thought about Giardas's words before having a sinister grin. "Are you sure this man can grant me power?"
A/N: I'm so glad I finally got this chapter done! It felt like several things kept happening and I couldn't get this chapter done before the deadline! Again, I am so sorry.
Most of the women seem to really like Luke's new body after all that training, even Mythra. I hope you like the dresses I picked out for the women.
As for Kaidon's jailbreak, it was done by exactly who you think it is. I actually meant to put that in a few chapters ago, but I kept forgetting, so I thought that would be a good place to end the chapter.
The next chapter is the Rating Game between the Gremory and Sitri peerages.
