The third story in the Phoenix Saga picks up four months after Ranko and Akane's wedding as they navigate the new challenges of married life. Ranko tries to balance her senior year of high school with preparation for college and an international concert tour as her second album releases. Tragedy tests the girls both home and abroad.

Ranma, trapped in his feminine form, leaves the Tendo Dojo in search of a "normal" life. After months homeless in Tokyo, Ranma ends up getting a job in a bar run by a found family consisting of the owner & four hard-luck girls. At the Phoenix, she finds a place where she can be accepted and "normal," learns to heal from past trauma and pursues a career as a singer.

Ranma and the other Jusenkyo-cursed have vanished. As Akane tries to move forward, an old woman arrives at the dojo with a disturbing message: an ancient bond ties her to a tragedy from 1,500 years ago. Meanwhile, in a distant and mysterious place, a girl with no memories struggles to reunite with her, even if her existence is nothing more than that of a Lost Soul.
