Hello again.

Before we begin, I want to state that Jasmine's predicament has nothing to do with Moony's 'attitude,' aka the whole gag about girls' bodies. Hermione was her first friend, let alone her first friend her own age, and to find a situation like this, it'll leave anyone upset and guilty.

Finding the depths

Jasmine was distraught when she learned of Hermione's predicament, which intensified when she discovered something was hindering her powers in restoring the older girl.

Draco, Neville, Luna, and Ginny all tried to cheer her up, but the fact that her powers for once failed her was a little too much for the four to counter. Not even when they attempted to contact Bellatrix and Sirius for help.

They could understand Jasmine point of view, though. None of them wanted to think about the possibility of their own magic failing them. And her magic was much more powerful compared to there own.

The depressive feeling coming from her did get the rest of the school to give her a berth, though.

She needed the space from would-be additional problems, and not just whatever Dumbledore could've brought up when he tried to do something about it.

Moony, at the same time, was largely silent, though Ginny did develop the feeling that it was watching her.

Overall, the mood had greatly diminished in Hogwarts after Hermione was sent to the Hospital Wing.

Draco groaned when he noticed just who had opened the Great Hall doors abruptly one breakfast. "My dad's here, with the Minister."

"Jasmine's reaction to Hermione, no doubt." Luna responded, having noticed her own dad in the back of the group.

Luna was right, as part of the group went up to the staff table, while the rest tried to head towards Jasmine, only to be cut off by Moony growling furiously at them from on top of her head.

Neville couldn't help but look curiously at the toy. "Wasn't he just in your lap, Jasmine?"

Luna just raised an eyebrow at the boy.

The girl's father was the only one that was able to get close enough to hug Luna. "You alright there, flower?"

"Yes, daddy." Luna replied. "Though I can't say the same for Jasmine or Hermione."

The man looked sympathetically at Jasmine, having an idea of how she was feeling. "It's always hard, feeling like you have failed a loved one. But letting it engulf you isn't something Ms. Granger would want you to do. I can try to help figure out something to help, if you want."

Jasmine gave him a soft smile for a moment, but wasn't hopeful.

The moment was soured when an instantly irritating voice cut in. "And just why would you be so willing to help her, Mr. Lovegood?"

At least until Jasmine asked him in response "Why is there a giant toad?"

The completely innocent and random question couldn't help but raise the mood, chain reacting laughter throughout the students.

Said 'giant toad' fumed. "How dare you, filthy half-breed!"

Draco immediately face-palmed and stood up. "Really, Madam Umbridge? Has your vendetta against other races melted your brain? Jasmine's a human through and through. Not to mention the fact she had never even heard of you, let alone seen you before."

Jasmine blinked at that. "So she just looks like a toad?"

Umbridge's anger rose further, but Draco moved between them, still facing the woman. "It's a rather common idea for people who see her for the first time, but she does not have any toad within her. She wouldn't be the Minister's right-hand woman otherwise."

Jasmine looked a bit confused, but just stuck to shrugging as a man in a bowler hat joined Umbridge. "And who's that?"

This time, Amelia Bones gave an answer. "This is Minister Fudge, Ms. Potter. He's not too happy about you 'disrupting Hogwarts.'"

"Dis..." Jasmine glanced at Moony for a moment, then glared cutely. "Then try and help heal Hermione!"

Fudge recoiled back at the intensity, despite the cuteness. It didn't help him that Moony was growling as well.

Umbridge, in the meantime, decided to try something again. "A single muggleborn is not the Ministry's concern, you little-"

"Wrong answer." Amelia cut her off, just in time to get everyone's attention focused on Jasmine and Moony.

Particularly, Moony's loud and angry growl and Jasmine's shadowed expression, growing aura, and partially limp form.

"That...muggleborn...is...my...friend..." The girl said, taking a few steps towards Umbridge.

"And Umbridge is a stupid bitch who makes the rumors of Molly Prewett sound like they are comparing her to Merlin." Draco said, grabbing a shoulder. "Apologies Ginny, but your mother does have a few rumors still around about her past, and they aren't the nicest."

Ginny joined him, taking the other shoulder. "No offense taken, Draco. She was actually the one who told us about them."

She then addressed Jasmine. "Please, calm down. Umbridge may be mean, but she's not worth it."

Jasmine and Moony stayed still for about a minute before finally calming down, though Jasmine did blink in a confused manner. "Draco? Ginny?"

She looked up at Moony for a moment, then paled in fear. "I did what?!"

Ginny immediately caught her in a hug, working to calm the now shivering girl.

Amelia took the initiative by addressing the Minister. "Get Umbridge out of here. Next time they meet, I have no doubt Jasmine will do something."

"Right." Fudge nodded, quickly moving out of the Hall with Umbridge.

Amelia glanced towards Ginny and Draco. "Take care of her."

"We will." Luna replied, with Neville nodding as they joined them.

Draco didn't exactly acknowledge his father as the man walked out with the rest of the 'group.'

Still took a few more weeks before anything truly came up that gave Jasmine hope for Hermione.

The girl was sleeping one night in her warehouse, still depressed about her friend, only to feel a finger lightly poke her stomach, make her shiver a bit.

It tickled.

A few more tentative pokes later, it changed to gently moving, making Jasmine feel...strange. It felt...nice...to her.

She cute mewed in disappointment when it disappeared, wanting the nice feeling to continue, only to shoot up awake a few minutes later.

Rubbing her eyes in confusion, she moved over to where Bellatrix was sleeping, a few feet away, and gently nudged the woman awake. "Nh, Jasmine?"

"I think I had a dream, and one thing confused me and Moony." Jasmine told her, only for the next question to snap the woman wide awake. "What's the Chamber of Secrets?"

"...tell me everything you can about your dream first."

In regards to the time and the length, issues outside of the chapter got in the way. No more about it will I say. As far as the next chapter goes, on the other hand, the ONLY reason it could possible become a short one is me feeling it has TOO MUCH for just one chapter and should be made a two-parter. We'll be finishing up with the Chamber, but not Teresa.

Not even close.

Until next time. Please let me know what you think.
