Summary: Madara Uchiha returns back to life and he is in the boruto universe.
Note: Okay , I am sorry for long wait and abandoning this story for a long while . I am back for it again and will try my best .
Only a few weeks had passed since Madara first met Sarada, yet she had improved exponentially under his supervision. Every day at the same time, around sunset, Sarada would come to train with Madara. It took her a while to get used to the intensity of the training. She would return home every day with bruises and cuts. Sakura, her mother, would heal her but always displayed concern. Sarada hated those healing sessions because they felt more like interrogations:"Where have you been? Who have you been training with? How did you get this cut and that bruise? You should have been more careful... how... why... when..." It was a hassle for Sarada to answer those questions, and she had to answer them as vaguely as possible. After all, Sarada didn't like lying to her mother; she would rather hide the truth.
"Katon no Jutsu!" Sarada said loudly as she inhaled a large amount of air while weaving hand signs. Immediately, a fireball—not so small yet not that large—erupted out of her mouth, striking the surface of the water.
Hn, she was fast, I'll give her that.. Madara thought...Yet she lacks strength and... heat. Besides, the fireball isn't... it just isn't large enough. Hmph...
Sarada was staring at Madara, asking him with her eyes if it was good enough...She's looking at me like a puppy seeking approval... should I strike her with my brutal honesty or just praise her?..
"It is not good enough. No strength and no technique and definitely not a good representation of the Uchiha signature jutsu."
Sarada's face fell, the weight of his words hitting her hard. She had been pushing herself for hours, only to face more criticism. "Oh well, then what's a good representation? You seem to only criticize and you aren't being helpful about this,Madara-sama" Sarada said naively.
"Ha, Is she challenging me to demonstrate?" Madara thought.
Madara stepped forward, back straight. "Technique is about the posture. Strength is about the amount of air inhaled and the capacity of your lungs." Madara inhaled a large amount of air and released a fireball large enough and strong enough to light up the evening sky. The vapor and the heat... the fireball might have revealed their Location.
Sarada was in awe of what she saw—its size, its sheer power. "I wonder if Papa can do it the way you do it, Madara-sama."
I think Sasuke should be able to do better... otherwise, I would be disappointed... Madara thought.
"Sarada, that's enough for today. Don't come back until you perfect the jutsu. That is the Uchiha signature jutsu, and I will not accept anything less than perfect. Understood?"
"Fine. I will master the jutsu and then I will come back. Thank you, Madara-sama," Sarada said as she turned to leave.
Sarada would train every day at the Valley of the End, yet she couldn't get it right. She always lacked in some area. Little did she know that Madara was watching over her from afar.
..Hn, she has got determination as well...Madara thought.
"Katon no Jutsu!" Just when Sarada said the words, she felt a gentle hand on her back straightening it and another hand widening the distance between her feet—In the glimpse of a second Madara had corrected her form .
"Close your eyes and inhale," Madara whispered in her ear. Before she knew it, it happened—the largest fireball she had released yet, obviously not as large as Madara's, but above average for her age.
"Woah, finally, Madara-sama! I did it... We did it!" Sarada was jumping in joy and excitement, but Madara had to kill her joy.
"Did what? Haha, that was average at best. Don't get very joyful, little one," Madara said that, but inside, he was actually proud..he saw something in her...he saw potential...she is smart..definitly smarter than obito...she is soft though..
"Eh... fine, Madara-sama, but can we move on to something else? I am done with fireballs, really."
"First, you tell me, why are you training so hard? Why is it that you seek power?"
Sarada's eyes lightened up. Finally, it took him so long to ask. "Because I want to be the Hokage, Madara-sama!"
Hokage? An Uchiha Hokage... that's a noble purpose... I once sought to be Hokage myself ...Madara thought
"But why? Why do you want to be a Hokage?"
Sarada kept thinking for a while and then answered, "Well, I would love to lead the kind of life Naruto leads. I don't think I want to end up like my father."
Hn... solid reason. But not solid enough to make her endure the tough times that are yet to come... She will need a much more solid reasoning in the years to come...
"Sasuke Uchiha... Hn..."
"I have never actually met my father... I don't know him quite enough." , Sarada's voice broke the silence, hesitant but determined.
Madara's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Have you met my father, Madara-sama?" Sarada asked, her voice tinged with curiosity and hope.
Madara could sense the underlying emotions. I know where this is going... Hmph. "I did," he replied curtly.
Sarada's eyes lit up with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. "Really? I have so many questions... Madara-sama, can you-?"
Madara raised a hand to cut her off, his tone firm. "That's enough for today " and then he left .
Sarada returned back home that day , Cuts and bruises around her mouth from practising all day the signature jutsu , She was quite exhausted . As she entered the house, she was surprised to find her mother seated at the table, a letter clutched tightly in her hands. Sakura's eyes darted up the moment Sarada walked in, and in an instant, the letter was hidden away.
"...Sarada you are early today "Sakura said stuttering alittle. which made Sarada have some doubts..hn mother is acting weird today...Something's off... And I'm not early at all—it's almost midnight. It must be that letter......
"The letter in your hands," Sarada asked, her tone cautious, "what is it about?"
Sakura looked away, her gaze dropping to the floor in disappointment "It's about your father" Sakura finally said stuttering alittle .
Papa..?..."Did something bad happened to Papa?" Sarada asked worried...
Sakura's lips curved into a sad, knowing smile. She's so naive, Sakura thought, her heart aching for her daughter. She doesn't know that nothing can harm Sasuke—not anyone with a shred of sense, anyway...But how could she break the news to Sarada without crushing her spirit? The truth was, Sasuke might not be able to attend the chunin exams
..Did something bad happen to Papa ..or maybe...No I swear if Papa doesn"t come to see me at the...I will..I w-...
Sarada Your father might not -..No..no Here it comes.. I knew it...- come to the chunin exams.
Before Sarada Knew it her eyes were already full of tears..she ran immediately to her room with a cloud of mixed emotions , was it anger or grief ...sorrow or sadness.. It was all of it. Inside her room, Sarada collapsed onto her bed, burying her face in the pillow. The emotions she had tried so hard to hold back came flooding out—rage at her father ,grief and the deep, aching sadness of a daughter who just wanted to make her father proud.
After each training session , Madara would be left alone , He would wander through the lands clueless of what he should do ...As far as he has known there was nothing significant going on..he had no goals ,no ambitions , nothing . That was actually in Sarada's favour because Madara would allocate most of his thinking and pondering into Sarada's training ...What can I teach her , How can I make her stronger , How shall I make her tough.. ...He would allocate most of his time thinking about her...
On the other hand ..Sarada would be pondering after each training session about Her father , Madara-sama , and the Uchiha clan ...where is "papa"...why does he never visit...where are the rest of the Uchiha...why won't anyone answer my questions...Something started to change in Sarada ...The absence of answers hardened her heart slowly, a change she was yet to notice.
"Sarada , sitting alone once more ?" Kakashi sensei interrupted Sarada's chain of thoughts , He asked with curiuosity as it's not from her nature to stay alone , But now she would do it more regularly.
"Hn"
"How is your preparation for the chunin exams going , you are training alone right ?" Kakashi sensei asked hoping that she wouldn't ask him to be her mentor.. and to his surprise , she didn't , which actually made him alittle sad and maybe worried because , normally she would ask him to help her in the training .
"Fine" Sarada replied a little coldly
Ah... those one-word answers..Her father's genes , no doubt...Kakashi thought , placing his hand on her shoulder and then asked "Would you love to have a spar ?" Kakashi said trying to make her alittle excited and he was successful in this .
Saradas's eyes lightened up , She stood up at once . She had been training hard under Madara's intense guidance, and today, she would be sparring with none other than Kakashi Hatake, the legendary Copy Ninja.
"Ready, Sarada?" Kakashi asked with his usual calm demeanor, a relaxed expression on his face.
Sarada nodded,. "Yes, Kakashi-sensei."
"Good. Let's see how much you've improved," Kakashi said ,taking a fighting stance.
Sarada took a deep breath, recalling all the lessons Madara had drilled into her. She knew this spar would be a significant test of her progress. Without wasting another moment, she dashed forward, her fists aiming straight for Kakashi.
Kakashi easily dodged her first attack ,countering with a quick jab. Sarada blocked it and spun around to kick, but Kakashi vanished, reappearing behind her. "You're faster, but you still need to predict your opponent's moves better," he advised, tapping her shoulder lightly.
Sarada gritted her teeth, quickly turning around to face him. "I'm not done yet," she said, launching a flurry of punches and kicks. Kakashi parried each one with practiced ease, his eyes sharp and focused.
"Remember, Sarada, it's not just about speed. You need to think ahead," Kakashi said, his voice calm as he sidestepped another of her kicks and swept her legs out from under her.
Sarada hit the ground but rolled to her feet quickly. He's right. I need to be more strategic, she thought. She took a moment to assess the situation, watching Kakashi carefully. She formed the hand signs for her Fireball Jutsu, but just as she was about to release it, she noticed Kakashi's eyes narrowing slightly.
He's anticipating my moves... I need to change my approach, Sarada realized. She quickly shifted her stance and instead of launching the fireball, she used a substitution jutsu, disappearing in a puff of smoke.
Kakashi blinked, momentarily thrown off. "Not bad," he muttered, just as Sarada reappeared above him, aiming a powerful punch at his head. Kakashi blocked it, but the force behind it made him skid back a few feet.
Sarada landed gracefully, her eyes never leaving Kakashi. She felt a rush of excitement; she had managed to surprise him. But Kakashi wasn't one to be easily outdone. He formed a series of hand signs at lightning speed. "Lightning Blade!" he called out, his hand crackling with electricity as he charged towards her.
Sarada's eyes widened. I need to be quick , Sarada was about to use her sharingan but then it hit her she can't use it because that will arise questions..she clenched her fist in frustration and barely managed to dodge the attack, feeling the electricity crackle past her. She countered with a kunai aimed at his side, but Kakashi caught her wrist, twisting it just enough to disarm her.
"You've improved a lot, Sarada. But you still have room to grow," Kakashi said, his voice gentle yet firm. He released her and stepped back, allowing her to catch her breath.
"If you woud love to spar again anytime , tell me " Kakashi said with a smile under his mask as he grabbed his book and turned to leave .
I couldn't even land a single punch...Sarada thought ...
It was a crisp morning at the Valley of the End, and the mist hung low over the water. Sarada had arrived early, determined to continue her training. Today was different; Madara had told her they would focus on taijutsu. She was both excited and apprehensive.
Madara stood on a rocky outcrop, watching as Sarada approached. His piercing gaze made her feel both nervous and motivated.
"Are you ready, Sarada?" Madara asked, his voice stern.
"Yes, Madara-sama," Sarada replied, her fists clenched in determination.
"Good. Taijutsu requires not only strength but also precision and agility. We will start with basic stances," Madara said, stepping down from the rock.
Madara demonstrated the first stance, his movements fluid and powerful. Sarada mimicked him, trying to match his form. He walked around her, adjusting her posture with small, precise touches. She picks up quickly, but she lacks refinement. This will take time.
"Your center of gravity must be lower. Bend your knees slightly more. Balance is key," Madara instructed.
Sarada adjusted her stance, feeling the strain in her muscles. "Like this?"
"Hn. Better," Madara nodded. "Now, we will practice basic strikes."
Madara threw a series of punches and kicks, each one executed with perfect form. Sarada watched intently, then began to replicate the movements. Her strikes were fast and precise, but lacked the power and grace of Madara's...Speed is her strength, but she needs to harness more power. She has potential, but potential means nothing without the will to cultivate it...
"Your speed is good, but you need more power behind your strikes. Focus on using your entire body, not just your arms and legs," Madara advised.
Sarada took a deep breath and tried again, this time putting more effort into each strike. She could feel the difference immediately.
"Better, but still not enough. Let's spar. You will learn more through combat," Madara said, taking a fighting stance.
Sarada hesitated for a moment but then mirrored his stance. Madara moved first, his attacks quick and precise. Sarada blocked and dodged as best as she could, but Madara's speed and power were overwhelming. Each strike he landed was controlled, enough to teach but not to harm.
"Stay focused. Anticipate my moves," Madara instructed as he continued his assault.
Sarada's Sharingan activated, her eyes spinning as she tried to predict his movements. She began to see patterns in his attacks, allowing her to block more effectively and even counter-attack a few times. The Sharingan... She's using it well, but it's not just about seeing. It's about reacting.
"Good. Now, let's increase the pace," Madara said, speeding up his attacks. She must learn to adapt quickly. In real battles, hesitation can mean death.
Sarada struggled to keep up but pushed herself harder, refusing to give in. She landed a solid punch on Madara's chest, but he barely flinched. He responded with a sweeping kick that knocked her off her feet. She hit the ground hard, gasping for breath.
"Get up. Again," Madara ordered.
Sarada stood, determination burning in her eyes. They resumed sparring, and she fought with everything she had. Each fall was a lesson, each bruise a reminder to be better.
Hours passed, and Sarada was exhausted, covered in sweat and dirt. Yet, she stood ready for more, her resolve unwavering.
"That's enough for today," Madara finally said.
"Thank you Madara-sama" Sarada replied, bowing respectfully.
Madara watched her go, a rare smile touching his lips. she will become strong ...I think she has the potential to surpass my expectations...she is quick and smart...her only problem though..is that she is soft and I don't blame her it's a result of growing up in a time of peace...
The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows over the Valley of the End. Sarada had been training all day, her body aching from the rigorous taijutsu exercises Madara had put her through. Today, however, Madara had promised to teach her something new, something powerful. She could sense the importance of this lesson.
Madara stood on a high ledge, looking down at her. His presence was imposing, yet she felt a sense of anticipation. Today will be a turning point for her training, he thought.
"Sarada, come here," Madara called out, his voice echoing through the valley.
Sarada quickly made her way up to him, her heart pounding with both exertion and excitement. "Yes, Madara-sama?" she asked, trying to catch her breath.
"You've done well with your taijutsu training, but now it's time to unlock more of your potential. Today, I will teach you how to open the first gate," Madara said, his tone serious.
"The first gate?" Sarada repeated, her eyes wide with curiosity. She had heard of the Eight Gates, a technique that granted immense power at great risk. She knew this was a significant step in her training.
"Yes. The Gate of Opening. It will enhance your physical abilities significantly, but it requires precise control and immense focus," Madara explained. She needs to understand the gravity of this technique. It's not just about power; it's about control.
Madara began to demonstrate, standing with his feet firmly planted and his hands forming a specific hand sign. "Watch closely. The first gate is located in the brain, it removes the natural limiters your body places on its muscles."
Sarada watched intently as Madara's body began to glow with a green aura. The ground beneath him cracked slightly from the surge of energy. This power... she must learn to handle it without losing control.
"Feel the energy flow through you. Focus it towards the center of your body and direct it to your brain," Madara instructed, releasing the technique and returning to his normal state.
Sarada nodded, closing her eyes to concentrate. She tried to sense the flow of her chakra, directing it towards her brain as Madara had shown. At first, it was difficult, like trying to grasp something intangible. She furrowed her brow, focusing harder.
She's struggling, but that's expected. This technique isn't easy to master. She must persist, Madara thought, watching her closely.
Minutes passed, and Sarada's face contorted with effort. Suddenly, she felt a rush of energy surge through her. Her body began to glow faintly with a green aura. The ground beneath her feet trembled slightly. Good. She's done it. Now to see if she can maintain it.
"I... I think I did it!" Sarada exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.
"Hn. You've only just begun. Now, attack me," Madara commanded, his expression stern. She needs to learn how to fight while using this power, not just activate it.
Sarada hesitated for a moment but then charged at Madara. She moved faster than ever before, her punches and kicks delivering far more force than usual. Madara dodged and blocked her attacks with ease, observing her form. She's fast, but her control is lacking. She's letting the power drive her instead of mastering it.
"Focus, Sarada. Control the flow of energy. Don't let it control you," Madara advised as he deflected her blows.
Sarada tried to heed his words, focusing on maintaining her form and control while attacking. She could feel the energy fluctuating, threatening to overwhelm her. But she pushed on, determined to master this new ability.
After several intense minutes, Madara raised his hand, signaling her to stop. "Enough. Release the gate," he ordered.
Sarada took a deep breath, willing the energy to dissipate. The green aura faded, and she collapsed to her knees, panting heavily. "That... that was incredible," she gasped.
"Hn. You've done well for your first attempt. But remember, this power comes at a cost. Overuse can lead to severe damage or even death. You must train diligently to control it," Madara warned, his tone grave. She has the potential, but she must be cautious. The power of the gates is a double-edged sword.
"I understand, Madara-sama. I'll keep training until I can control it perfectly," Sarada vowed, her determination unwavering.
Madara nodded, a rare smile touching his lips. She's progressing well. hn..interesting...If she continues at this pace...
"Ah by the way...Thank you so much ..Madara-sama" Sarada said a genuine smile on her face , "Really..You are the best Sensei".
Ha ha..I know little one..I know...Madara said nothing and left ..Afterall ,he isn't the one to show much emotions...
The grueling training session finally ended, and Sarada made her way home under the blanket of night ,She stumbled through the door, her exhaustion palpable. She winced as she tried to close the door quietly, wary of waking her mother. The pain from opening the First Gate had only started to set in hours later, leaving her aching and drained.
However, something was off. Usually, the lights would be off, and she would hear her mother snoring on the couch. But not today. All the lights were on, and instead of snoring, she heard her mother whispering—a voice full of emotions. Sarada had never heard her mother speak like this before; her voice was quiet and soft.
Sarada took a cautious step forward, and to her surprise, she saw her mother sitting on the couch, unusually close to a stranger. She could only see his thick black hair, as the couch wasn't facing her, obscuring his face from view.
"M...mother..?" Sarada said ..she didn't quite understand what she was seeing .
Suddenly Sakura leaped from the couch, a hint of pink coloring her cheeks "a..Ah, Sarada, you're home late!..!" Sakura said scratching the back of her head trying to ease down the tension ...
"Sarada ...Your father is back...Sasuke..Sasuke is Back !" Sakura said excited and full of joy ..she wanted to share the happiness with her daughter who had never seen Sasuke before..But wait..
Sarada was staring -her eyes red full of tears-at Sasuke who stood tall staring back at her , surprised by how fast Sarada had grown.
"Sarada ...Your sharingan !" Sakura pointed out at her red eyes she had never seen them . Then , Sakura had made two assumptions both of which were wrong ..First she thought sarada activated the sharingan for the first time ever now because she had just seen Her father -Sasuke- ..she was wrong Sarada had activated the sharingan for the first time a couple of months ago because she saw Madara not Sasuke .
Second she thought those tears on Sarada's cheeks were tears of joy..She was wrong as well..They were anything but joy..
"Why are you ... Why are you here ?" Sarada asked bluntly..
..She didn't quite understand her emotions..She wasn't happy for seeing her father , she was rather frustrated and angry..she wanted answers..where was he..why didn't he visit...Initially Sarada would train with Madara to be a hokage , be on par with Boruto and Mitsuki and to make her father proud at the chunin exams..But as time went on and she trained more and more with Madara ..she no longer wanted to make Sasuke proud...Instead she wanted to make Madara proud..It was as if she had replaced Sasuke with Madara..She saw the father figure in Madara not sasuke..
Sakura was awe struck by the question...why would she say that..what happened to her she always wanted to see her father..what kind of question is that ...Sakura thought
Sasuke as well was taken aback by the question . "I wanted to see you" Sasuke said.
"Why didn't you come earlier.." Sarada said with rivers of tears down her face.
"Sarada...I was on a mission.." Sasuke said..in shame.
"A mission for 12 fucking years.. !"..."Well then Go back to your mission, we don't need you here !" Sarada said as she was rushing towards her room..she didn't quite understand why she said what she said...She wished she hadn't said what she said though...she didn't hate her father...just ..yet...
Sasuke stood frozen, the weight of Sarada's words crushing him. He felt a surge of guilt.. the demons in his mind stronger than ever now...She hates me now..I am a failure as a father as well..late..late..always..late...hate...hate..she...my daughter...Sarada... hates...me.
Sakura on the other hand was just standing her mouth open trying to understand what's going on..it was a nightmare..except it was real..
Sarada was on her bed - her face in the pillow, eyes red full of tears- ..why did I say that... what's wrong with me..I hate myself..Couldn't have I just held my tongue..?..But then her chain of thoughts was cut by a loud voice it was her mother's voice..except it was rough and loud this time...
"Where the hell are you going now , Sasuke..!" Sarada couldn't quite hear her father's response
"Quit escaping like a child already Sasuke ..You are a father ..Act like a one.."
"What would you have me do" Sasuke's response was muffled but filled with defeat..
"Go fucking upstairs and make up with her"
Sarada's eyes lightened up for a moment she wished her father would come over her room and perhaps even give her a big long hug..she wished he would come and talk to her ...she would have apologised to him and told him how much she loves him ...But...But then she heard the door closing...she felt a deep sense of betrayal and abandonment...
