Authors Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon. Hey everyone another chapter done and another posted. Getting things forward and started with the fight against Blaine, but also making references to the Pokemon Special fic as well. To show that I haven't forgotten about making 'that' story be canon to the main story.

This is going to be split into 2 chapters as I usually don't want too- but with what I have in store and planned, there is a reason behind this being split into 2 chapters. Especially what I have in store for Greninja too. Then when that chapter done with the fight, it will be focusing on the Egg and Lopunny in the next chapter with the egg hatching. I have a lot planned for the Cinnabar island arc that it will also be where Ash gets his last 2 Pokemon catches.

As again I want to get things moving and such and get Ash to the Pokemon league. So there won't be a lot of...guess filler chapters to prolong the length of the story. But I will be sure to make those important chapters written.

I...still not sure if I will do other regions or not, as that is still up in the air. But anyway if I do, I will probably skip Orange islands as that in itself was completely filler by design to hold off before Gen 2 games got released.

Anyway, I change Blaine here from the anime and using his Gen 2 design. As it is fitting considering I had the age for trainers in Pallet town be booted up to 14 years old. It would mean Blaine and everyone will be much older compare to when Ash started his journey at 10 years old.

Anyway without further adieu and hope you all enjoy and have fun reading. I am going take a small break from this story, and go working on my Pokemon World Adventure story next. Figured to use some elements from the anime to spice things up for that fanfic so yeah. Have fun and enjoy!

We find our hero finally arriving at Cinnabar island and seemingly waiting for someone as he and his girls have waited a couple of days on the island to rest up and heal up from their travels. Along with allowing Lopunny, who seemed to be in deep thought the past few days to have time for herself and send her back to the Pokemon ranch of Professor Oak's. The rabbit was grateful for Ash and assured him she's perfectly fine, just a little frazzle over some memories returning back in her head.

Ash and Pikachu right now saw the next cruise ship coming into port of Cinnabar island and they both smiled widely and brightly with Ash throwing his arms into the air. "HEY! Robert, Leaf!" Ash called out as Pikachu did the same, seeing the two teens on the deck and both of them waving back towards Ash, along with having a third person with them that surprised Ash greatly as he widened his eyes and saw the familiar face of. "MISTY?!"

"Pikachu, pikaka?" Pikachu responded as well as the two looked at one another and then back but smiled either way seeing they are going to have another friend spending time with them. Even though they aren't completely friends, they only spoke three times at the Pokemon center, handing her bike over to them to escape the Spearow and back at Cerulean city.

"Looks like we're going have quite a enjoyable time huh Pikachu?" Ash chuckled and had Pikachu nodding his head and wagging his tail, as the trio they were waiting for began departing the cruise ship and heading right for him. What adventures await our heroes today?

Chapter 42: Blaze through the pain, Hot blooded Gym leader

Xxx

We see our heroes at a nearby restaurant happily eating a hearty meal and lunch. With everyone catching up with each other and explaining what has been happening lately to their journey and adventures, Ash and Pikachu were greatly surprised to see Misty with Robert and Leaf and saw the orange-haired girl smile and relay back. "Yeah, funny enough I rant into Robert and Leaf at Viridian forest- helping me to get through it after running into some…trouble with some of the bug Pokemon…but also from a weirdo in the woods." Misty huff lightly as she closed her green eyes and began eating her sandwich and smiling as Robert raised a hand.

"Yeah a kid wearing weird Samurai armor apparently causing a ruckus in the forest and attacking, or demanding fights from those who came from Pallet town. I don't know his reasoning or why he did so- but it got to the point that he even began using Pokemon to trap and tangle up trainers in Spinarak and Ariados webbing." Robert then rested a hand on Misty's shoulder, who blush lightly and smiled at Robert. "Luckily Leaf and I saw Misty being harassed by him, so we had to jump in and save her."

Leaf nodded and turned to Ash and Pikachu who looked at her as she placed her hat onto the table. "It was touch and go too- considering those Spinarak and Ariados who webbed up Misty and kept her there, were really strong and powerful. We barely managed to get through." Leaf then looked at Misty who nodded. "Thankfully, Misty despite her fears of bug type Pokemon. Managed to weaken the group with her water type Pokemon, not even my Charmander at the time was able to handle a lot of them."

This had Ash whistling and then lean forward, "And all of this happened 5 days after you both left Pallet town?" Ash asked and then looked up in thought and turned to Misty. "That is when after being saved, you reached Route 1 and where I and Pikachu ran into you a week later." Ash said and then leaned back when Misty had a playful glare and stood up from her seat and slammed her palms onto the table.

"Yeah, and your Pikachu roasted my bike!" Misty yelled out having Pikachu to slouch lightly behind Ash's head and chuckled sheepishly and folded his ears downwards trying to apologize. Leaving Leaf and Robert wide eyed as they heard this. "But…glad my bike came in handy for you and Pikachu though. Especially with how large those crowds of Spearow were." Misty then smiled. "No hard feelings, just messing with ya." The orange hair girl continued and had Ash and Pikachu sighing and then laughing.

Robert couldn't help but laugh and say. "Seems it was fate for Misty to meet everyone." He said and finished up his meal and gave crumbs to Eevee who was happily taking it and licking it off from Robert's hand. "Anyway, I bet you're wondering why she is with us right Ash?" Robert asked and had the boy smiling and nodding. "Well after helping Misty out and letting her know abo9ut she could find water type Pokemon near route one. We ran back to her at Cerulean city after visiting a lighthouse north from there and well." Robert stopped and laughed as Misty then spoke up.

"I had asked them if it would be alright to travel with them." Misty said and then sat back down and scooted the chair closer to the table. "Of course, right after I settle things with ym sister. In which that is when I ran into you again Ash and took the role of Gym leader for my sisters. Considering their…sigh." Misty sighed and shook her head. "Their annoyance of having to battle three times in a row at the gym. While worrying about their water play and such." She then lightly rested her elbow onto the table and adjusted her yellow short t-shirt and blue shorts red overall straps. "So after that and getting all settled, I ran back into Leaf and Robert around Vermillion city and the S. ."

"Wow, seems like you guys had a lot of adventures while we separated." Ash chuckled and everyone nodded and began finishing up their meal and lunch. "By the way, Leaf, Robert? You two say you only have 1 gym badge left right?" Ash asked and got a nod from the two. "Exactly, how do you have only 1 gym badge left?" Ash asked with a curious tilt of his head and turned to Leaf, who cleared her throat after finishing her drink and smiled brightly.

"Funny thing you mention that." Leaf says and goes grabbing her duffle-bag and pulls out her badge case and opens it up Showing seven out of eight gym badges that are needed to compete in the Pokemon league, with one of them looking unfamiliar to the ones Ash has seen. "There was this fighting Dojo in Saffron city that apparently was approved to become an official Pokemon gym. There we competed and fought them for their gym badge and we acquired it from them." Leaf explained and then placed the badge case back into her bag and rested it down beside her. "Then after that we went and fought Sabrina before you returned from that shipping dock." Leaf said having Ash and Pikachu to tilt their heads.

"Shipping dock?" Ash repeated and then turned to Robert who nodded and watched Eevee jump onto the table and began sniffing and licking up the food tray Robert had on the table.

"Yeah, you don't remember?" Robert said and raised an open hand. "We found you standing at one of the ports near Saffron city. You sent us a message about a person named the Pokemon master on New birth island and headed to the docks to challenge him?"

Misty nodded, "Yeah I remember, I was with Leaf and Robert at the time and you had called them from a phone at the docks. Letting them know you will probably won't be returning back to the mainland until you face this Pokemon Master." Misty said and leaned back on her seat. "I never heard of a Pokemon Master on an island called 'New birth island'." Misty giggled and all three of them looked at Ash and Pikachu, who looked really bewildered and confused about what they were saying or even talking about. Making Misty, Leaf and Robert to blink their eyes and then shift their gaze towards one another. While facing back to Ash, even Eevee looked concerned as he stared at Pikachu, who looked completely puzzled.

"I don't…remember anything like that, or do I recall ever going to New Birth island?" Ash repeated and had the three stare confusingly towards him. "I mean…I remember being at the docks and regrouping with you and Leaf. But…" Ash then hummed and crossed his arms trying hard to recall anything but nothing came to mind. "Pikachu," He then asked Pikachu who turned towards his trainer and tilt his ears. "Do…you remember anything about New Birth Island?" Ash asked and Pikachu let out a silent chuu and shrugged his shoulders.

This had the older teens a little worried on account Ash usually has a memory of a Kadabra and would never forget something important like being invited by a Pokemon Master, who was on 'New Birth Island'. This had Misty looking towards Leaf and Robert whispering out, "Does he usually forget things, cause I was there and heard his excitement on the phone to you guys. As he even describes a Dragonite sending him the invitation too."

"Never," Leaf whispered back and had a lunch menu up to conceal her, Robert and Misty whispering to one another. "Especially when it comes to Pokemon too." Leaf then shifted her gaze to Robert who nodded and figured to go and ask.

Leaf and Misty lower the menu and saw Robert adjusting himself and smiled, "Well then Ash…you remember a Dragonite sending you an invitation towards New Birht Island?" Robert asked and then blink his eyes as Ash and Pikachu just continued staring and then shaking their heads, then looking at one another worriedly considering they would NEVER forget something like a Pokemon! Especially a Dragonite!

"Really?" Robert wanted to be sure and then soften his look and turn to the girls who also looked worried. "Did…someone approach you and erase your memory then. As that's the only conclusion I could only think of?" Robert said and heard Ash groaning and grumbling.

"If they did then I want to know why they did it, because having and seeing a Dragonite…" Ash then widened his eyes and quickly grabbed his Pokedex. "Wait, maybe Dextar might've recorded the data. If we can see the date and time of the scan then…you guys might be right and that something must be missing in our memories." Ash said and had Robert, Leaf and Misty to get up from their seats as Eevee hopped onto Robert's shoulder and they all gathered behind Ash and saw him scrolling through his Pokedex to see if it did register Dragonite.

Misty then said, "It was around April when you called them Ash, if that matches up with the Pokedex registration." Misty began saying and then everyone widened their eyes and even Ash and Pikachu were gasping as the Pokedex did in fact register a Dragonite data and then they let out low hummed and saw the date of the record. "April 26…yeah that's…the date and time you called them."

"This is concerning…" Robert said and stood upright and crossed his arms and watch Ash closing the Pokedex and putting it away. "How could Ash and Pikachu forget an entire day of memory?" Robert hummed and had everyone looking down in thought and pondering over it. But Ash then laughed and chuckled, getting everyone to look down at him as he petted Pikachu's head.

"Ah well I won't fret over it, if I lost memories of it and something did happen. I would rather not recall anything terrible happening to us if our mind just blocked it out." Ash said making Pikachu hummed in delight from the petting. "I mean it would be nice to know who the Pokemon Master was, but if he did have a Psychic type Pokemon to erase memories. Then, he must've had a real reason behind erasing my memories or anyone who met him."

This had the two girls and Robert blinking their eyes and smiling to one another a sRobert place his hands against his own hips. "That is actually a very good point. If the person didn't want to be bothered and only sent invitations only- then wanting to be concealed. Then make sense, especially if the invitation you signed had a waver that says your memory needs to be wiped."

Misty nodded, "Yeah, anyway." She then winked one eye and thumbs behind her. "Considering it's midday right now. We should probably go and start looking for that Gym here." She began saying and watched Ash getting up from the chair with Pikachu climbing onto his shoulder. "I may not know the Gym leader himself, but I do know that he's a fire type Gym." Misty began saying and crossing her arms in light worry. "And…well he can be kind of extreme. He's way older than most Gym leaders you've all met during your travels. And even makes Lt Surge look tame in attitude."

Leaf hummed, "Really? How bad are we talking about?" She asked as they all began walking off and heading deeper into the city that is filled with tourists and visitors from everywhere, enjoying a large resort like the town and city of Cinnabar island. Squeezing and pushing their way through the thick crowds and people that were all over the town, making traversing a little difficult to go through. "Like we're going to hate his attitude badly, or one of those old men get on your nerves badly, or your typical pride is what makes you hate them. Or," Leaf was about to add as Misty laughed and interrupted the girl who looked like as getting frustrated at the ideas or perception of the man with how her expression is scowling.

"Well, sort of but in terms of attitude I will have to say the one who thinks he can take advantage of his role as Gym leader." Misty explained and had the trio blinking their eyes and then getting a very annoyed and frustrated look, including Misty as she faced forward and hardened her eyes. "I heard that one of the trainers who came here and challenged him, literally quit their adventure all because that when they battled him and watched the Gym leader outright harming and hurting their Pokemon to almost bruises or needing to stay in the Pokemon for a couple of days. Threaten to strip away his Pokemon trainer license from the trainer."

This had Ash growling and balling up his fists, "That insane! What right does he have to tell people or trainers that they don't deserve to be a Pokemon trainer!" He then turned to Misty who nodded in understanding. "Did he actually do it?" Ash asked and the three looked appalled when Misty saddened her expression and nodded her head.

"Yeah couple of trainers and yet no matter how much we appealed, or other gym leaders appeal to the said gym leader. Who's name is Blaine," She quickly added and faced towards the trio and saw how indifferent they are becoming of how the Pokemon Committee is apparently allowing Blaine to still run as a gym leader. "The Pokemon officials will not fire him nor will they tell him to not abuse his power as Gym leader. Stating how he has more experience than all of us and has seniority over most of us as well." Misty groaned and lightly face palm and shaking her head.

"Ugh, reminded me of how of a bitch Erika was before Leaf and Robert met up with her." Misty said and had Ash blinking his eyes and turned towards the two.

"Wait Erika was very rude to you guys? She seemed quite nice when I fought her and ran into her alongside Lilligant." Ash says and sees the two laughing lightly and Robert raising his right hand and saying to the boy.

"Very long story we will tell ya once we get our Gym badge from Blaine." Robert said and rubbed the back of his neck. "Trust me, I don't know what the heck happened or what went down. All I know is that Leaf, from what Misty tried telling me while I was very sick and ill. That Leaf's interaction with Erika went down and that…well." Robert hummed and crossed his arms not exactly recalling what happened that day, as he was bedridden for half the day from being sick.

This had Leaf raising her hand and saying, "No worries Robert, like you said." She then moved her arm back down to her side and huff in annoyance and irritation. "Once we get our badge from Blaine, and…probably destroy that fucking ego of his. I will tell you what happened exactly while you were resting in the Pokemon center. Right now, let's focus on the task at hand." Leaf, Robert, Ash and Misty all stopped and began looking around for any signs of the Pokemon gym. "First, we should probably ask around and figure out where the Fire Gym is at."

The four agreed and decided to look around or ask around the city in order to get an idea of where the Fire Gym will be. They asked around with the locals first and asked if they have any idea where Blaine's Pokemon gym will be at? Only for them to reply and respond back that they have no idea, or don't know where exactly it is on the account they said the guy is pretty secluded. Even going as far as to saying that sometimes they forget they even have a Pokemon gym in the city. Making the four to stare confusingly and figured to move on and ask someone else who has lived in the city little longer than the other citizens.

However the same results ended up the same, as when they approached some elderly citizens and ask if they knew where the Pokemon gym was? They would go on a bit of a tangent and derailing off subject from the matter at hand and talk about other things that aren't even the Pokemon gym. They then decided to go and ask any Pokemon trainers around the place or hopefully know where the gym is, but as before and honestly not surprising Ash and co- they didn't even think there was a gym here and said that they usually go somewhere else for their Pokemon gym badges and battles. All and all they came up short and the group were looking a little exhausted and slightly annoyed that nobody knows where Blaine's gym is.

Misty huffed lightly as she shook her head and crossed her arms under her chest. "Geez, you think Blaine will be well known around these parts. Considering whenever a Pokemon League Gym meeting is held, he always boasts about how much respect and gratitude he gets for a gym leader." Misty muttered annoyingly while then opening her eyes and staring at the tourists and hustle of the city. "I mean at this rate I am starting to believe that he is just making it all up."

Ash nodded and stared to the loud and bustling city of Cinnabar island, that just have lot's of festivities and things that attracts all sorts of tourists. "Guess besides being a dick, he's also a blowhard who thinks he has respect from the people living in Cinnabar." Ash growled lightly and had Leaf and Robert nodded.

"Guess you could say that his nasty attitude is the result of people not respecting him here. Thus, he's taking it out on Pokemon trainers and being cruel to them." Leaf said and then shrugged her shoulders. "Ah well, a dick is a dick- pride or not. Let's just find somewhere to sleep for the night and try again tomorrow." Leaf smiled and went to turn around and then bumped into somebody causing her to stagger backwards while shaking her head. "Whoops sorr-"

"Watch where you're going bitch! Learn to use those fucking eyes of yours." Came a very rough sounding and crackling voice, causing Leaf's eyes to harden and glare harshly and face the person she bumped into. "I swear youth nowadays think it's such a privilege that they think they can talk openly and walk about as if they own the place." Said a elderly looking man, with a bald head and gray mustache- wearing what looks to be a lab coat.

"Hey asshole, I said I was sorry!" Leaf shouted and thrusted a finger at him. "What right do you have for calling me a bitch!" Leaf shouted and had Ash, Misty and Robert glaring at the man. Although Misty eyes blinked and began squinting towards the man as if she…knows him?

Robert steps forward and says, "My friend said she was sorry and she's right." The points a finger at the man. "You owe her an apology, let alone calling her names, especially a name like that." Robert then crossed his arms and glared. "So the reverse should be said, what right or privilege you have for calling people names. Just for accidentally bumping into somebody, but not give them a chance to apologize." Robert growled out as the old man just seems to be deadpanning and glaring back at him and Leaf.

"Because I am the fucking gym leader, Blaine." Blaine declared and had all four of them blinking their eyes and then towards one another, as then they turned towards Misty if she could confirm it or not and saw her staring owlishly for a brief moment and then widened her eyes.

"It is Blaine," Misty said and then deadpanned with annoyance. "Yup that's him, his attitude easily matches the description well." She then sighed and lightly placed one hand against her hip. "Hey Blaine, lively as ever and always in a bad mood too. What happened this time? Somebody messed up your food order or woke you up from your daily nap or something?" Misty asked in a snark like way, seemingly showing that she does not get along with Blaine whatsoever.

Blaine humph and crossed his arms and snapped back, "none of your business you insolent brat. Why are you here, shouldn't you be back at Cerulean city to defend your worthless family who can't even run a gym properly." He argued back and had Misty gritting her teeth and throwing both arms down and shaking her fists.

This had Ash, Leaf and Robert glaring with all three stepping forward and shouting, "hey that's uncalled for you asshole! Apologize!" They all said at once and then flinched and stepped back when he turned towards them and gave them a very scary look.

"Shut your traps you pricks, you have no right to even butt into business like that. You know nothing of the girl or her family and how." The man then steps back as Robert's face gets a little red and gritting his teeth badly- to then Leaf paling and then quickly grab a hold of his shoulder as he steps forward and begins shouting back.

"Oh yeah, maybe if your dumbass attitude wasn't always present and actually have sympathy and care for those around you! Maybe you WOULD actually care and be a responsible Pokemon Gym leader, to help and teach their fellow gym leaders how the rules work and such. Without meddling and controlling them, let alone telling them how to do things YOUR way then maybe you would probably be actually HELPFUL and lend a hand!" Robert shouted and flinched about as he was trying to break free from Leaf's hold.

"Easy Robert, easy, breathe, breathe he's not worth punching or picking a fight with." Leaf tried calming him down though he and Leaf paused and looked at Ash as he raised a hand and finger saying.

"Well uhh technically Leaf we are going to battle Blaine for the gym badge. Soo…" Ash then shielded himself with a chuckle and even Pikachu laughed lightly as Leaf deadpan and argued back with a very serious tone.

"Not helping here Ash, and it's not exactly the point I am bringing either." She explained and then let Robert go seeing how he calmed himself down and was approached by Misty. Who was thanking him for sticking up to her and her sisters, they then face back at Blaine who just shook his head and scoffed.

"Why should I waste my time battling with idiots like you." The man said and had all three of them glaring at him. "If you're all this overly sensitive and lose your temper this quickly. Then you all don't deserve to be Pokemon trainers at all, and be stripped of your trainer license immediately." He started and crossed his arms and saw the trio glaring at them and digging their fingers into their fists, while then all of them got even redder in anger as Blaine looked towards Eevee and Pikachu. Who stared back and then began growling and sparking their electricity at Blaine. "And you two are still having Eevee and Pikachu without evolving them?" He spat out and then pointed to Leaf. "Let me guess, you also have an unevolved Pokemon because you want them to stay cute like the other cute Pokemon you have. Disgusting."

Misty growled and shouted, "watch your tone Blaine! I am a Gym leader too- and I can easily get the official to take your license away for being a gym leader. Especially the way you've been treating trainers and their Pokemon." While then gritting her teeth. "Seniority or not, you shouldn't be an asshole to those who fight and challenge you!" She yelled out and saw the man just glaring down at her and spat towards the side.

"Please, say the tramp who walks around in her swimsuit around town and Nugget bridge. Saying how there's nothing wrong with it." Growled Blaine and had Misty's entire body skin crawling and ready to yell and bark back, only for Ash who had enough steps forward and yells.

"You'r not a gym leader whatsoever, your just some fucking bitter oldman going around parading to be a gym leader!" Ash shouted and then thrust a finger towards him and continued saying. "And I bet there's a reason why nobody around us is talking about your gym. Because you probably already lost your job and had your gym be stripped away from you because of your attitude!"

This had Misty, Leaf and Robert grinning as Robert crossed his arms and felt Eevee smirking next to his face. "Ah yeah that could definitely be it." Then shrugged his arms and closed his eyes, clicking his tongue. "He's acting like this is because the Pokemon committee finally wised up and fired him from all the complaints and treatments trainers were getting from him. That he is in a tick off mood." Robert said and had Leaf snickering while raising a hand to her mouth.

"Oh yeah that will definitely be it. No wonder he's such an ass." Leaf giggled out and Misty began adding as the man just glared and seemingly not amused by their behavior and acting in front of him.

"Yeah," Misty raised her head and had one eye open staring towards Blaine. "It definitely makes sense now and why people aren't directing us to the gym." She then leans forward and grins wicked;y. "You lost your gym and got fired, didn't you? Serves you right for treating everyone like they're beneath you."

"You all done and having your pathetic fun?" Blaine asked and wrapped his arms around his chest and saw the kids nodding and finishing up with their taunts and teasing. Then falter and lightly pale as he shakes his head and reaches inside his coat, grabbing a cane and slamming it down on the dirt road. "Right then, so you all think I got fired and lost my gym huh?" He asked and had a gleam in his eyes. "Alright then- follow me you bastards and I will show you just where my gym is. I had it relocated because of all the damn tourists around making it impossible to run my gym with peace and quiet." He said while doing a follow me motion with his artm and began heading north of Cinnabar island.

"Well, that's one thing we can all agree on." Robert said softly as he turned towards the city considering how loud and noisy it was. Getting everyone to nod their heads, they can at least understand that part of Blaine's reasoning. "But, still doesn't give you the right to act like a jerk." Robert added as they all began following him and then grunted with a low growl of irritation as Blaine mouthed off.

"IF you don't have thick skin and my insults are that bad. Then you have no right to travel the world let alone be with Pokemon." Blaine argued back, getting the four to feel their eyes twitching at the insult. But took a deep breath and let it go for now. "Especially those who don't even have good health should stay home and wither away."

"THAT'S IT LET ME AT'EM, LET ME AT'EM HE DESERVES TO BE HIT, GYM LEADER OR NOT!" Yelled Leaf as Robert and Ash quickly grabbed one arm each and tried to prevent Leaf from pummeling the old man. Even though at this rate he deserves all kind of lashing and beatings with his cold exterior!

After a while and slowly beginning to leave the city and it becoming more forest-like and grassy plains, and a little rocky terrain here and there with rocks and boulders looking to be the color red. Misty faces forward and stares towards Blaine as she then asks. "So, exactly where did you relocate your Pokemon Gym? I understand not wanting to be with the bustle and hustle of tourists and such. But, you not providing information of where your gym is located is against rules."

"I know,:sadly even if I do post fliers of where my gym is. They will be torn apart and ripped down for the stupid festivities and preventing much work for me as a gym leader." He said as they then made a right near a fork in the road. Leading closer towards the Volcano, in which Robert and Leaf look up towards it and grimace a bit seeing that there's smoke coming out from it. "But thankfully the Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny of the city are happy to help guide trainers to my gym, or give them my exact location."

"Evo…" Eevee squeaked worriedly as they were getting closer to the Volcano and even shiver and hopped off form Robert's shoulder and into Leaf's arms. "Voi, veee…" it cried out, a little scared of approaching an active Volcano like that. Having Robert, Ash and Misty turn towards the Pokemon and then back to Blaine with Ash saying.

"Hey, is that Volcano active? Isn't it kind of dangerous to have a Pokemon gym near an active Volcano?" Ash asked and saw Blaine turning his head over his shoulder and then scoffing as he saw Eevee trembling in Leaf's arms.

"This is why I despise unevolved Pokemon." He growled out and faced forward, getting everyone to glare at him. "Just because they see something like a volcano, or a menacing tall Pokemon. They become little pussies and cry to their trainers not wanting to battle." Blaine scoffs out and gets everyone to roll their eyes and shake their heads.

"Seems like Misty wasn't far off of you making Surge look tame." Robert mumbled out and saw Blaine glare at him but chuckled, raising a confused brow from Robert as Blaine faced forward once more as they were reaching the Pokemon gym. It looked to be a two stories high building, with the Gym logo and such on the front. But also looking to be like a resort hotel of some sort? Confusing everyone greatly, but then again considering how the island attracts tourists? And how he did mention he couldn't get much work done as gym leader, makes sense to have an alternative to get work done.

"Please Surge is full of hot air and that when something doesn't go right for him. He balls like a bitch whenever losing a battle." He then hummed and recalled the last meeting they had at the Pokemon committee building, where Surge had told everyone how he faced off a couple of trainers who used unevolved Pokemon and defeated him. A Pikachu and an Eevee…"It can't be them right?" Blaine thought and turned over towards the two trainers, seeing Pikachu hopping over to Robert's shoulder and trying to calm and assure Eevee everything will be alright. Even though Pikachu himself is trembling and shaking at the idea of being so close to the volcano.

Now thinking about it, Sabrina also said the same thing although it was Eevee who was brought up again. While for Ash it was a Gardevoir- well her Gardevoir, who came and basically rescued them. "Now thinking about it, Leaf and Robert fit the bill of trainers who have been going around and challenging Gym leaders to do double battles with them. So that the gym leader doesn't have to worry about restoring their Pokemon strength or having to replace them with other Pokemon."

He stopped at the front double glass doors and faced the teenagers. Seeing Misty smiling and raising her hand, giving advice of how the three should handle the gym battle. Even though she knows Blaine's a fire type, she warned the three that he may have Pokemon who could face Water type Pokemon and Rock type Pokemon.

He turned to Ash and heard tales of his feats too…actually all three of them have been making a name of themselves in the Kanto region. It was hard to determine the lies and truths about all three of them, considering everyone's actions seem REALLY far fetched. "Whatever, I will see it myself and determine if these brats deserve their license or not." He thought to himself and then saw Eevee hop back to Robert's shoulders and cutely rub his cheek against obert. "But I won't lie…their bonds with their Pokemon are incredible. I can sense these three really love their Pokemon as well as care for each other and those around them."

Blaine then went and crossed his arms and said, "Alright you four, this is the Cinnabar island Gym. And you already know the whole spiel and yadda, yadda- usual crap." He said annoyingly but laughed when he got a couple giggles from the girls and chuckles from the guys. "Well, at least got some laughter out of you four." He said and lightened up a bit. "But I am and will be a hardass for our battles, as I do take rules strictly and seriously." Though he stopped when Leaf raised a hand.

"Sorry to interrupt, but how should we handle battle order?" She suddenly asked and had Blaine smirking as he saw the tales of her and Robert's double battles seem to be true. "There's three of us right now and, well I am sure you heard that Robert and I do double battles with gym leaders." She then turns to Ash. "So with Ash here, we think it wouldn't be fair if you and him fought first- that you had no Pokemon substitute for me and Robert. Let alone and considering your attitude." Leaf said coldly at the end but laughed as Blaine raised a hand.

"Already ahead of ya there missy." He then crossed his arms. "And thanks for confirming that you and Robert indeed do double battles." He then hummed and looked at Ash and the battling duo. While then rubbing his chin and thinking it over, "Well…hmm…" then turned to Misty who let out a low happy gasp.

"Oh I have an idea!" Misty then raised one finger into the air and faced the three trainers. "Instead of having to do double battles or waiting a whole day to get everyone's Pokemon rested and such." She then turns to Blaine. "Why not a triple single battle!" She suggested and had the teen smiling as Ash says.

"Hey yeah that sounds like a great idea!" He then turned to Blaine who hummed and then looked down in thought and listened to Ash. "Instead of having to use a three vs. three battle with me, then a two vs. two with Robert and Leaf. Why not one of each battle your Pokemon and can receive your gym badge!" Then smiled and wrapped his hands behind his head. "This way, we won't have to be wasting a lot of our time and yours! Kill three birds with one stone!"

"Hmm," Blaine hummed out and thought it over and even though he despised the teens suddenly changing how Pokemon league rules are. They bring up a very incredible time management and even make it easier to deal with Pokemon battles. Misty then said.

"Plus, you always say it takes awhile for even a three vs. three battle when facing opponents in your reports. So if you were to face Ash, Robert and Leaf in single battles but still abiding to the three vs. three Pokemon rule set. You can get things done a lot quicker and get back to anything important." Misty said and smiled at the trio and then back to Blaine, blinking her green eyes as the man sighed and rubbed the back of his head and began humming.

"Unorthodox I give you that but…" Blaine then chuckled. "You all made great points as well considering I am actually doing something important and have no real time for Pokemon battles today." He said and then had everyone humming and curious what was up. "You see, even though the Gym looks like a gym, it is also a resort hotel and therapeutic facilities are inside to help both the trainers and Pokemon stress relief. We just recently got a big shot arriving sometime earlier in the day and rented out the place." He then grumbled and muttered out. "And honestly not in the mood to deal with big wigs like them, but the money is good and I do need it to finish the renovations of the gym."

The four of them soften their looks and expressions and start to understand his attitude now, though it all squander as he then said. "But dealing with privileged bastards like you is also annoying, especially trainer types." He suddenly said and all four of them mentally agreed that he lost all respect from them. "But, if you don't mind if you guys could wait till tomorrow for the gym fight, then you are allowed to use any of the facilities of my gym." He then darkened his expressions. "However, if you don't prove your worth or even show skills of being talented trainers. I WILL strip you of your trainer licenses." And then closed his eyes and heads inside the building, causing everyone there to grit their teeth and digging their nails into their hands as Ash says.

"The nerve of that bastard."Ash growled out as Pikachu nodded and sparked his electric cheek sacs. "Ugh, he really does grind my gears!" Ash then stomped his foot and turned to the others and huffed all the while crossing his arms. "But he is right…everywhere else is packed and full, even the Pokemon center's trainer dorms are full." He said and sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "I should know, I couldn't rent out a room and had to sleep in the Center's main area."

Everyone nodded and agreed so they went ahead and decided to take Blaine's offer and rent out some rooms in his resort hotel slash gym. Once they did and began heading to their rooms to go and unpack everything, everyone gathered inside Ash's room to go and devise a plan of action on how they should handle Blaine's Pokemon for their pokemon battle tomorrow. Leaf, Robert and Ash were sitting in a small circle on the floor, while Misty looked upon them with Eevee and Pikachu on the bed. Laying on her front and lightly kicking her legs up and down listening in on their plan of actions.

"Well you all have at least a couple of water type Pokemon right?" Misty asked while raising an open palm. "That should be enough, even though you all should still be careful in case Blaine taught his Fire types any moves to counter Water type Pokemon." She warned them and rested her hand back onto the mattress as the trio hummed and Robert looked upwards to the ceiling.

"I do have a Seadra on my team, but considering what Misty said." Robert began saying and moved one arm towards the left to reach out for his drink and continued saying before taking a sip of his drink. "He may have moves to counter our Water types…or probably worse, have other Pokemon typing that is not fire type- but has fire type moves."

This had Ash raising his head in confusion and then turned to Leaf, who had concern looking eyes. "Yeah, we thought the same thing too, Ash. Considering Gym leaders must be that typing, however it doesn't mean their team can be all fully one type of Pokemon. If they have the gym's themed signature move, or at least have a fire type move then Blaine is allowed to use a Pokemon outside his typing."

"Huh, is this true Misty?" Ash asked the girl who blinked her eyes and nodded her head sheepishly chuckling.

"Yeah it's true, although I stick with Water type Pokemon because I want to become the best water type Trainer in the world. So, I didn't have any other Pokemon that had water type moves when we fought against one another Ash." She told him and then reached inside a bag of snacks to take a bit out of some chips, with Pikachu and Eevee just snoozing away on the bed and cuddling against one another. "But, it is true- gym leaders are allowed to do that- as long as they have a fire type, water type or whatever theme their gym has that matches their typing."

"I see…huh." Ash hummed and then rested both his elbows onto his knees and closed his eyes as they continued brain storming. "I have Greninja and she's really good and speedy, so we probably can use our Pokemon maneuvers that way. We won't have to worry about our Pokemon getting overwhelmed or not fast enough to dodge some of the attacks Blaine's Pokemon might have." Ash said and had the other two nodding their heads.

"Good idea, Seadra is fast so Robert has nothing to worry about there." She then faced forward and smiled brightly. "I also managed to find Lapras during our travels through the Cycling Road! But…" She then hummed and shook her head. "Probably a bad idea to use during Blaine gym. Don't think she will be swift enough to avoid all the attacks." Leaf said and then turned to Misty who rested her hands under her own chin and smiled.

"Why not Seal? Didn't you catch one while we were heading to Cinnabar island at the Seafoam islands?" Misty said and had Leaf humming, and then getting up from the floor and walked over to the PC that was placed in each bedroom of the hotel resort. "Granted, you just recently caught Seal, so it might not be good to use it as it's freshly caught." Misty hummed out and continued eating some of the chips, then looked to Robert who let out a low.

"Oh wait!" Then turned to Leaf who turned and looked over her shoulders. "Leaf, what about that Poliwag we found near Bill's lighthouse?" He said and had the girl smiling and quickly going through the Pokemon storage box. As he smiled and opened up a hand, "you trained it a lot when you first caught it and had it evolve into a Poliwhirl. The speed it has will definitely come in handy and not only that. But Hypnosis too!" He finished getting her to grin widely and nodded her head. Having Ash and Misty smiling too.

Ash chuckled, "Hey yeah, if you use Hypnosis on one of Blaine's Pokemon you could have an advantage over them and be able to make the battle easy!" Ash snickered. "Plus, that's cool you guys were able to find a Poliwag at a lighthouse. I should've probably explored there and caught some Pokemon at the time." He laughed sheepishly while Misty then said.

"Not only that but Poliwhirl can also learn punching moves too- so if you have a T.M that has said punching moves. You can make Poliwhirl more versatile against Blaine." She said and saw Leaf opening up the ball transfer component and placed one of her Pokeballs onto it and had it get sent to Oak's lab and storage, while replacing it with a Dive Pokeball design ball, as she happily takes it and places it into her duffle-bag.

Ash then said while looking at Robert, Misty and Leaf who rejoined them on the floor. Says, "okay so Greninja, Seadra and Poliwhirl will be the Pokemon we're going to use then?" He asked and then rested a hand to his chin and hummed out. "Now who should go first and who should go last?"

"I say let me and Leaf go first and second Ash, then you can face off Blaine's last Pokemon with Greninja." Robert said and had the boy looking towards him cock his head lightly. "Greninja is a fully evolved Pokemon. She will have more advantages than Seadra and Poliwhirl will have for whoever his last Pokemon will be."

Leaf nods and pumps her arms lightly, "Not only that but it gives us a chance to scope out what type of line up he will use. Especially if we do lose to him, we will be more prepared the second time around against the Pokemon he chose." She said with a smile and had Misty giggling.

"That sounds like a plan then. Blaine isn't allowed to swap his Pokemon out even after the match, he will have to use the same three Pokemon he's sent out to trainers who has six or seven gym badges." Misty informed while kicking her legs up and down. "Us Gym leaders will have to use Pokemon, depending on the amount of Gym badges the trainer has." She then began explaining how it works letting the trio know the determined strength and skill level for each Pokemon a gym leader has.

"For example if a trainer has zero gym badges, then the Gym leader must only use two Pokemon for the battle and their weakest one as well. Then as trainers gather more gym badges and fight the gym leader, the gym leader will then increase the number of Pokemon on their team or in this case, both parties must abide by the three vs. three rules from the official rules. But the Gym leader is granted use of stronger Pokemon on their team. It's a way we can test out the trainers skills and abilities, and see if they have what it takes to enter the Pokemon league or own the Gym badge."

"So that means Blaine will be using his most powerful Pokemon against us then." Ash said and looked at Robert and Leaf. "Then if that's the case and we do lose, we should probably train like heck if we do wind up losing and find a good strategy to fight against Blaine." Ash said and had the two older teens nodding their heads and looking to the side. "But who knows, Ash then grinned widely. "We could get lucky and easily win the match without any problems!"

"Careful Ash," Misty began taunting him with a wicked expression. "Cockiness like that will cause bad karma. So, you better pray that you don't just jynx yourself and the other two." Misty giggled out and had Ash chuckling nervously praying he didn't.

This had Robert and Leaf chuckling lightly while then getting up. "Well since we have a plan of action. We should probably get to bed early and be fresh and ready for the Pokemon battle tomorrow." Robert said and then grunted as Leaf grabbed his arm, while shouting.

"Ahh no we aren't!" She happily smiles while shaking Robert lightly. "I want to go to the hot springs and enjoy them! I saw the sign leading to them in the hotel resort and I am not going to head for bed early and miss out soaking in the springs!" Leaf giggled out and then began dragging Robert, as Misty happily swung her legs around off the bed and hops off- then grabbing and scooping Eevee up into her arms and following the excited brown-haired girl out the door. "Come on Misty, let's enjoy the springs together before we go to bed! It will do us good." Leaf then says. "See ya Ash, get well rested okay! We don't want a sleepy head falling asleep in the gym battle!"

Ash waved goodbye to them and watched Misty grabbing the doorknob and closing it right behind her. Ash then stood up from the floor and stretched out his arms above his head. "Yeah bed sounds good right about now," He then looked out the window and saw how it was already becoming night time. "Eat a good dinner and then get some good sleep,"Ash then walked over towards the phone for room service and stopped. "Oh, I should probably let Robert know about the Children of Pokemon tomorrow as well? No doubt he and Leaf will be very interested in knowing that what I have and what Robert has, is actually a bloodline and not some…weird experimental thing." He joked out at the end and then turned to Pikachu who is still sleeping and seemingly not bothered by Misty scooping Eevee up from beside him. Ash smiled and went ahead and called for room service, for tomorrow will be his, Robert's and Leaf's Gym battle!

Xxx

The three were a little overwhelmed as they had woken up bright and early, got breakfast and headed towards where the Gym will be located inside the Resort Hotel of Blaine's building. Gulping lightly and a little worried about the amount of lava that seemed to be surrounding the arena, mixing alongside the molten rocks and boulders that make up the battle arena. "Ugh, don't know if I will be able to fight clearly in this heat…" Robert groaned out and stretched out his shirt collar and gave a few pants of breath. "I…don't do well in high temperatures." He said getting Leaf and Ash nodding their heads,

"Yeah same here, I don't like being sweaty either." Leaf said and the trio faced forward as they heard one of the doors opening up and revealing Blaine. Who proudly steps forward and into his trainer's arena box and sees the trio in front of him. Who all looked like they weren't handling the heat all too well. "What's wrong you brats? Can't handle the heat?" He laughed and had all three of them glaring and gritting their teeth. "This is the Cinnabar Gym, which is built and carved out of the Volcanic mountains and terrain. All designed by me in order to take full advantage over Fire type Pokemon and harnessing the might of the volcanic lava surrounding the gym!"

"Hey is it always supposed to be this hot, cause I am sweaty badly here and it's not really good for our health here." Ash shouted, knowing full well how much Leaf and Robert aren't able to handle rising temperatures. If summertime where to go anything by? The two would usually stay at home at times and stay in an A.C. "I can handle it, but I am not going to battle you if this is what trainers have to go through. This HAS to be a health violation!" Ash shouted and then the trio turned towards their right and saw a glass window where they could see Misty, alongside with another woman who seemed to be covering herself up and wearing sunglasses, what seems to be wearing a trench coat too.

They then hear Misty shouting, "Blaine this is not safe at all! What if one of the Pokemon fall into the lava, or even worse one of the trainers actually passes out from heat exhaustion and almost passes away from these extreme conditions!" She shouted and argued, while then gritting her teeth as Blaine just flipped her off and the teenagers he was about to fight.

"My gym, my rules, if they can't handle this intense heat. Then they have no right to call themselves Pokemon trainers." Blaine said and had Misty twitching her limbs at this guy's attitude and how badly he seems to be treating trainers as of lately. "Not my problem, their bodies are frail and can't handle it.' He snorted out and had Leaf and Robert gritting their teeth and growling irritably. Wondering where he has the right to treat people like that? "Anyway, like we agreed from yesterday this will be a three vs. three battle. With each one of you fighting one of my Pokemon- I do hope you actually show tactic and skills cause I will not be taking it easy on weaklings."

The woman in the large trench coat began writing something down on her clipboard alerting Misty to her and softened her gaze at her and whispers out. "What did I tell ya…" Then faces back to the battle that's about to happen as Leaf took her place to be the first opponent. Looking really sweaty and exhausted from just standing in the heat of the volcano, while then throwing her Poliwhirl Pokeball forward and releasing the Pokemon onto the battlefield. "Blaine is going way too far with his rules and ideal of what a trainer should be or should behave. You can even see Leaf struggling to keep herself standing, let alone Robert." Misty said and had the woman with the Pink hair humming in agreement, as she saw Ash rapidly looking through his bag to find anything to cool off Robert from the heat, managing to find a water bottle and bring it up. Only for Ash to widen his eyes and yell out in pain from how super hot the bottle is, causing him to throw the water bottle to go flying and landing right into the lava.

"I understand and trust me, we've gotten many complaints about Blaine's behavior. Even though the Pokemon League officials keep making excuses that he has seniority and such. We cannot let Gym leaders treat trainers like they are not worthy or force them to quit their journey." Explained the woman and looks back up to the arena and says. "If things go too far and one of them passes out, I will force myself to end the match." She said and had Misty nodding and facing forward and chuckling lightly.

"That's if Leaf, Robert or Ash let ya. They can be quite stubborn when it comes to Pokemon battles." Misty laughed, having the woman giggling to herself and whispering out how she has a feeling they might be just on looks alone.

"Rapidash, I choose you!" Blaine shouted and threw the ball forward and released the large fire horse Pokemon onto the battlefield. As it neighed and raised its front hooves into the air and slammed them down onto the battle arena. Which heat blew off from the manes and caused Leaf to grimace and shield herself with one eye closed, feeling more sweat dripping from her forehead and hair. "I will grant you the first move and be sure to put up a fight." Blaine shouted and had the girl huff and thrust her arms down.

"Poliwhirl let's start things off with Rain dance, let's try and cool the area down!"Leaf commanded and watched her Pokemon bounce about and wiggling around, to then gather an energy blue like orb into its right hand and throw it into the air! In which it erupted and began creating a large cumulus cloud to expand and stretch out of the battlefield and began pouring rain into the arena! Soaking and drenching everything around it.

"Good thinking, not will it cool off the bad heat. But it will weaken fire type moves and strengthen water type moves." Ash said with a smile, while Robert let out a low breath of relief and air- glad that it wasn't terribly hot. But still humid as he then opened his eyes and said.

"Much that be good, Leaf still has to worry about any moves Rapidash might have that's not a fire type move." The blue-haired teen said and had Ash nodding his head, considering Leaf probably already thought of that ahead of time. They saw Blaine laughing and shaking his head.

"Normally that would work in the past, but because of my knowledge and how to counter weather conditions like these. I can easily replace it with Sunnyday." Blaine said and had Leaf eyes shrinking into darts and watching the horn of Rapidash glowing and forming a red energy orb and then buck its head upwards and send it into the rain clouds and replace it with a bright, blazing hot sun. That had her grunting and groaning inwardly from how intense the heat was- this even had Ash and Robert shutting their eyes as Robert almost toppled down onto his knees from the sudden increase of heat in the arena. "Now Rapidash, use Flame charge!" Blaine commanded.

The fire horse neighing out and began stomping its hoofs onto the ground and began charging forward with incredible speed, as swirling and bright burning flames began surrounding the Pokemon and heading right for Poliwhirl! "Poliwhirl," Leaf began saying but felt the room spinning slightly as she rapidly cleared her head and groaned. "Use…use Bubblebeam!" She ordered and watched Poliwhirl, nodding its body as it leaps into the air and began firing off a stream of bubbles towards Rapidash, however when the bubbles would come out- they dissipate from the heat and sun, causing the move to outright fail completely and having Leaf widening her eyes as Blaine smiled.

Rapidash then slams hard into Poliwhirl's body, sending the Pokemon flying into the air and then crashing down hard into the arena floor! Creating a bit of a crack on it, as the tadpole Pokemon quickly rolled backwards and up onto its feet again, "Alright," Leaf then groaned and held her head and wiped away the sweat. "Let's try…Mud shot!" She commanded and throw her arm forward as she then quickly said, "Skip and hop around when doing it!" She added, as Polwhirl nodded and began running forward, to then started jumping and hopping about in the arena as it began firing rushing and thick powerful mud towards Rapidash direction, making sure that it's jumps and leaps will be hard to determine where the attacks will come from!

"Rapidash use Protect! Then fire up with Fire spin!" Blaine commanded and watched Rapidash throwing its head upwards with a loud neigh, summoning a green protective barrier around the Pokemon as the mud shot landed and erupted a couple of times around the Pokemon. Covering the horse in the smokescreen, the smokescreen disappeared immediately as a giant and terrifying Fire tornado appeared and roared out with massive strength and began traveling straight towards Poliwhirl! Causing the Pokemon to stagger and slide against the arena floor as the Fire spin is trying to suck the Pokemon into it.

"Poliwhirl use…" But Leaf couldn't get the command out as she collapsed to her hands and knees, coughing badly and looking to be having trouble breathing. Alerting Poliwhirl greatly as it saw it's trainer on her hands and knees, it looked towards the fire tornado and back to Leaf. But knew what it had to do and began running towards Leaf!

This had everyone widening their eyes at Poliwhirl and saw it gathering a lot of water around the stomach area and blasted it towards Leaf! Making sure to cool her down and help ease out the hot temperatures the girl might be going through. Making Leaf jerk upright and shaking her head while coughing. She then opened her eyes and screeched, "POLiWHIRL!" as she saw Poliwhirl give a thumbs up and happy eye smiles, before being engulfed and sucked right into the fire spin! Causing massive damage and injuries towards the Pokemon as it spun around the tornado and reached to the highest point, followed by the tornado stopping and sending the water type straight down towards the Arena floor with a hard boom! Causing a massive crack where it landed as the Pokemon groaned and had swirls

"Poliwhirl!" Leaf shouted and hopped over to the arena grounds and ran over towards the water Pokemon. Seeing it covered in nothing but burns and dirt, feeling how extremely hot the Pokemon felt too was not a good sign. She then closed her eyes and hiccuped lightly, "Thank you…you worried about me over the battle…thank you." Leaf cried out and smiled and wipe away the tears. "Deserve a good rest…" Though glared at Blaine after Rapidash returned to him and even had Ash and Robert glaring harshly.

"That was pathetic…you didn't stand a chance at all, especially once I used Sunny Day. It was over before it even began. And that Poliwag…pathetic." Blaine growled out and watched Leaf stand up and dig her fingers into her hand. "Going to help its trainer over the battle, I knew the moment I saw you three. You were nothing but weak excuses for Pokemon trainers, who pride over friendship and loyalty over winning." He grumbled out and looked at the three. "I'll be gladly revoking all your license if that disgusting display keeps showing."

"Why…you!" Lea growled out and felt her face going red but then looked away. "Bastard…" and began stomping away and over towards Robert and Ash, as all three of their eyes were cold and menacing as she says. "Destroy him…" and began walking over towards the room that Misty and the trench coat the woman wore, once she stepped inside and closed the door. Leaf just sucked in a lot of breath and did her best to keep the tears from breaking through, as she then slid down the door and was approached by Misty and the woman. As Ash and Robert saw the girl was becoming emotional and even began crying.

This had Robert furious and whipped his attention to Blaine who recalled Rapidash and waited for the next. "Nobody, NOBODY- makes Leaf cry and gets away with it!" Robert shouted and stomped forward and into the trainer box. Though staggered and got a bit dizzy from the intense heat, as more sweat began pouring down from his forehead and began breathing heavily. "S…Seadra! I…I choose you!" Robert called out and threw the Pokeball forward, releasing the water type Pokemon onto the battlefield, as it let it cry and having quite an angry expression on it's face indicating it could sense its trainer's feelings and heard what was happening through the Pokeball.

"Another water type huh, please." Blaine then throws his next Pokeball. "Rhyperior go!" He called out and released the heavy armor brown and orange Rock/Ground type Pokemon onto the battlefield. Being the fully evolved form of Rhydon! "Let's see if your seahorse can actually beat a Rock/Ground type." He taunted and had both Seadra and Robert growling irritably at this man's taunts.

"Well luckily Rhyperior shouldn't be able to learn it, so." Robert then threw his hand forward. "Seadra, use Rain dance! Then quickly follow up with Agility!" Robert shouted and commanded, having Seadra quickly move about and swaying along the battlefield and like Polwhirl, fired off a blue energy orb towards the air! Causing the bright Sunny day that Rapidash had created from Leaf's battle, to disappear and be replaced with rain storm. Seadra then began rapidly moving to and fro heading right for Rhyperior with Agility, hoping to get a quick attack in before Blaine can issue a command.

"This tactic again," Blaine huffed out and then snapped his finger. "Use Thunderpunch, strike the ground and send the bolts flying forward!" Blaine exclaimed, causing Robert and Ash to widen their eyes as they watched the large stone Pokemon. Punching it's fists together and began gathering energy around it's arms and then clasps both hands together, to then hammer them down into the ground! Shooting off wild and powerful discharge of electricity straight towards Seadra!

"Seadra try out maneuvering it, then counter with Water pulse!" Robert shouted quickly as he watches Seadra, quickly turning around and darting away from the fast traveling electricity- however Rhyperior quickly stomped over towards the right of the battlefield and punches the ground once more, sending another discharge of electricity using the rain dance as an advantage, than a disadvantage as it corner Seadra and had the Pokemon widening its eyes and then screeched out loudly as electricity shot throughout its body. The Pokemon flinch and convulsed badly, but forcing its head down and forward and even though will cause more pain. Began gathering the Water pulse around its mouth and fired it straight towards Rhyperior!

"Use Stone edge, then follow up with Earthquake!" Blaine commanded and watched Rhyperior quickly stomping one foot into the ground and greeted three tall stone spikes to erupt and surround the Pokemon, blocking the Water pulse attack as the large water orb erupted and caused a minor water shockwave, but didn't land or even hit Blaine's Pokemon at all. Ehyperior then grabbed two stone edges and ripped them off the ground! Before running forward and leaping into the air, very high into the air that the sun beaming down from the volcano's opening glared over the Pokemon as it came hurtling down with orange energy in the stone edges and threw them fast and hard into the ground!

Causing massive quakes and tremors to happen as more earth spikes began rushing towards a injured and flinching Seadra, who's eyes opened halfway and tried using agility once more to evade the attack! However when Rhyperior slammed into the ground and even pounding a fist hard into the arena floor, it caused another wave of earthquake and like before- pincering Seadra between attacks and had the Pokemon screech out in pain and flew into the air!

"Seadra!" Robert shouted and ran forward to then sliding along the ground and catching Seadra in his arms, as he felt the rainstorm dissipated from the air- indicating that Seadra had fainted and passed out from the battle. Robert lowered Seadra and, having concern in his face, saw the swirls in Seadra's eyes, along with the black and blue bruises it suffered from Rhyperior's attacks. "Seadra…you did great buddy." Robert said and saw the Pokemon opening its eyes towards him, then looking away in shame. "Hey don't be like that- you were awesome."

"Cry me a river, your fucking Pokemon couldn't land a single hit and you are praising it?" Blaine shouted and had Robert turning his attention towards the man. Baring his fangs, as Seadra too glared towards Blaine. "Not only that but you're an idiot believing Rain dance could help ya, when only it hinders you."

"Well how the hell am I supposed to know Rhyperior could learn Thunderpunch huh!" Robert argued back and stood up, still holding Seadra who was really pissed and ticked off. "Not everyone will think a Pokemon can learn moves that's not part of their natural experience growth!"

"And that's where you three fail to become trainers, it's common knowledge to study and learn what your opponent's Pokemon might have. Stop daydreaming and believe us Gym leaders, will take the stereotypical route and have our Pokemon learn moves from gaining experience and not through HM or T.M you prick."

"THAT's ENOUGH!" Ash shouted and got onto the trainer box glaring and looking very pissed off at this guy's attitude. "You have no right to treat my friends like that, or Pokemon trainers in general you asshole!" Ash then threw his hand aside. "What right gives you to treat us as we're below you, as if we're no better than you!" Ash growled out and continued saying. "I met all types of Gym leaders and they weren't as nasty as you are right now. Let alone go as far as dissing or disrespecting trainers for battling them either! Sure Lt Surge was a prick at the time, but the way he congratulated and honored trainers who do fight him and win. Shows he has sympathy for them and honors great trainers, including ones he even defeats." Ash then lowered his head while glaring at Blaine. "Even Sabrina, despite how she was raised and grew up to be- even if her treatment to trainers were negative, I saw those she defeated still giving her respect and honor her skills despite her cruelty, and from what Gardevoir has shown me through her memories. Sabrina, even respects those who HAS beaten her in the past."

Then he threw his arm forward, "But you! YOU are nothing but some old fart who can't get out of his glory days and only cares about power and victory when it comes to Pokemon." Ash shouted and clenched his fist. "Pokemon are not meant to be used as tools, nor are they meant to making us look good or powerful. Pokemon are our friends, our comrades and companions that will do anything and everything in their power to make sure their trainers are happy and safe."

Ash then thrust an arm towards the glass window where Leaf, Misty and the trench coat woman are. "Poliwhirl is a great example of that, as it went and tried cooling down Leaf from this ridiculous heat, sacrificing itself to make sure she was safe!" He then thrusted towards Seadra. "And Seadra, never have I seen an honorable Pokemon in my life. Willing to use all it's willpower to break through the electricity the Thunderpunch gave and still managing to throw out an attack, despite the pain it went through. And even tried outrunning not only the Thunder Punch but earthquake as well, just to find an opening to attack despite the uneven odds. THAT there proves how incredible its bond with Robert is!"

"Ash…" Robert and Leaf whispered out as Robert got up and recalled Seadra back inside the Pokeball and began walking towards the room where Leaf and Misty were, all the while letting out a loud huff of air and hanging his upper body down from the nice and cool Air conditioner. Before turning and glaring at Blaine, who had returned Rhyperior and pockets the ball back while wearing a nasty snide like expression on his face.

"Don't choke me with those sympathetic excuses of bonds and friendship you ass." Blaine scoffed out and had Ash gritting his teeth. "People like you make me sick…I will be glad to ruin those perceptions of yours, thinking what Pokemon are? Bonds…friends, companions…please, the strong rules the world and the weak trembles before it." He exclaimed and then raised his arm into the air. "Unless you can prove me wrong and that you three assholes truly think friendship, bonds and companions with our Pokemon is power. Then show me, Magmar, come on out!"

Blaine called out as molten lava began expanding from below towering and stretching out like gum, to then erupting and something shooting out of the lava and came crashing down hard and fast into the arena floor. Punching it and causing a crater on the spot it landed and then took on a fighting pose facing towards Ash. Who grimaced and quickly grabbed his Pokedex and aimed it towards the Pokemon in front of him.

"Magmar: The spitfire Pokemon, found near the mouth of volcano, this fire breather's body temperature can reach up to 2,200 degrees fahrenheit. Wavering flames similar to those of the sun appear on the surface of this Pokemon body."

Ash then puts the dex back in his pocket and grabs Greninja's Pokeball. "Alright, Greninja, time to take the stage! Let's show him what we're made of!" Ash shouted and threw the ball forward and released the water/dark type Pokemon onto the battlefield. When she appeared and materialized before everyone, her eyes hardened and began growling. Completely different from her usual behavior which surprised Ash greatly, "Huh…this is new? Usually Greninja will be trying to hide from new people?"

This also caught the attention of Leaf and Robert, as Leaf says. "Huh…weird?" This alerted the woman and Misty to her direction. "Usually whenever Ash sends Greninja out, she would normally try and hide- she's a very shy and bashful Pokemon. I…" Then hummed and lowered one eyelid halfway. "Wonder what has her behaving differently?"

Robert nodded and crossed his arms, "Could it be that she heard everything that was going on inside the Pokeball? As well the treatment Blaine was giving us?" He wondered and turned towards the woman in the trench coat, who raised a gloved hand to her covered face and hummed out.

"I think Greninja…like all Pokemon who can sense things and pick up emotions." She began saying and looked towards the frog who got low to the ground and ready to fight. "Picked up the distress that was going on, let alone what you just said. The treatment Blaine was giving everyone, that she wants to honor everyone's, battling spirit and put it all into this fight and prove to Blaine. That there is nothing wrong with having strong ties and bonds with Pokemon."

Misty nodded and sighs softly, "even though Greninja does win this fight. She still has to go through Rapidash and Rhyperior- unless Blaine is counting the two losses from earlier as tally. Then it is safe to say even if she wins…she will be upset to know she still lost." Misty groaned as Robert and Leaf continued staring towards the woman, who began having a sweatdrop on her forehead and then began coughing when both teenagers said.

"Do…we know you?" They asked and had Misty laughing at the two finally noticing the woman in the trench coat and quickly looking back to watch the battle before them.

"Greninja let's begin things with Water shuriken!" Ash shouted and threw his arms forward. "Jump around so it won't be easy to hit you!" He continued, as Greninja nodded and quickly began leaping into the air, having the end of her tongue whipping about when she did so. She then brought her hands together and began summoning spinning water shurikens on her palms, then fired off two towards Magmar as they spun and twirl in the air, when she landed she then began running towards the right of Magmar and started throwing three more Water shurikens at the Pokemon.

"Magmar engulf yourself with a Flame wheel and disintegrate the water shurikens!" Blaine announced, having Ash widening his eyes as he saw Magmar standing firm and then pumped its arms! Creating a massive fire wheel around its body and then expanding it outwards as all five water shuriken ended and hit on the attack but didn't get through or even made a dent towards the flame wheel! "Now combine the Flame wheel with the Flame charge!" Blaine continued and watched the spitfire Pokemon consume itself into roaring orange and yellow flames, then darted with a loud boom towards Greninja!"

"Greninja, use Hydro pump at the ground, then follow up with Shadow sneak!" Ash commanded and saw Greninja quickly inhaling and firing off a powerful Hydro pump into the ground, sending her high into the air and dodging the Flame charge and Flame wheel combination. Once she got into the air and nearly dodged the attack, she then quickly clapped her hands together ready to stretch out her shadow to begin another attack.

"Jump into the air and then use Thunder punch!" Blaine shouted, and had Greninja widening her eyes as Magmar suddenly disappeared and then reappeared next to her as Ash quickly shouts.

"Greninja water shuriken protect yourself!" Ahs shouted and Greninja, quickly and swiftly cancel out her attack and summoned a very weak water shuriken around the front of her palms and tried raising them but grunted out in pain when Magmar arch its right arm back and then strike across Greninja's face sending her flying down towards the arena floor and erupted in smoke! But as a countermeasure and not wanting to go out without delivering an attack. Five different Water shurikens began coming out from the smoke and erupted and exploded against Magmar who took the hits head on and landed back on the arena floor. Not looking to be injured or hurt badly, as Greninja manages to get back onto her feet- stuttering and shaking as she tries to ignore the pain shooting through her body.

"That Thunder punch did a lot more damage than it looks…" Leaf said and lightly held her hand up to her chest. "She looks so much in pain…is she really going to keep fighting like that?" She said and they then heard the woman speak up and nodded her head.

"She is…you can see it in Greninja's eyes, she's determined to honor everyone who lost to him and is willing to push herself to at least manage to defeat one of Blaine's Pokemon." The woman then turned towards Ash, who looked identical to Greninja's posture and anger. "Even Ash is also wanting to keep pushing and defeat one of Blaine's Pokemon. He cares for Greninja, but he can sense her determination. That's why he's trying hard to think of rapid commands."

This had the three teens looking to her and then back to the battle, as Ash shouts. "Greninja let's mix things up! Shadow sneak and water shuriken!" He shouted and had Greninja nodding her head and quickly disappeared into the shadows, while moving and gliding across the floor like a black blob.

"Magmar use Flamethrower and burns the arena floor!" Blaine shouted and grinned as Magmar inhaled deeply while expanding and bloating its chest to then throwing its head forward and blowing fire forward and doing a back and forth motion with it! Greninja who saw this, made sure to quickly jump out from the shadow and throw two water shurikens towards MAgmar, then quickly diving back into the shadows and evading the trailing flamethrower! She will then quickly jump back out of the shadow while flipping in the air and throwing two more water shurikens!

The first two Water shurikens managed to hit and erupted on Magmar's body, while the other two Magmar went and shot another flamethrower at the two shurikens and destroyed them. "Quick Thunder punch!" Blaine shouted, as Magmar quickly punched its claws together and gathered electricity into its fists and charged forward!

"Greninja, Hydro pump!" Ash shouted as Greninja appeared out of the shadow and gathered a large amount of water around and in front of her face and fired it straight towards Magmar. Who shocked and surprised everyone by rapidly and repeatedly punching the Hydro pump with ease and knocking it away without much struggle, despite some of the water droplets hitting Magmar he managed to get in very close, "Aerial ACE!" Ash shouted quickly, as Greninja stopped her attack and gathered blades behind her webbed hands and quickly clapped them together and blocked the Thunder punch as sparks and flashing lights flew everywhere and around the two Pokemon. With Greninja's red eyes wincing and twitching badly from the sheer power of the punch, while Magmar still has the deadeyes expression that never changed at all. Pushing heavily into the Aerial ace to then begin rapidly punching to and fro against Greninja's aerial ace, as she splashes up and down to meet with the punches.

Then the two separated from one another as Greninja canceled her attack and began panting and breathing heavily, looking tired and exhausted and even badly bruised here and there on her body. As then static began pouring off from her body alerting everyone in the stands. "That's not good, Greninja is paralyzed!" Misty shouted as Ash grimaced and grit his teeth. Then everyone blinked their eyes and widened them as they saw something going on with Magmar as his body began glowing.

"Seems like your Greninja is enough to allow my Pokemon to evolve." Blaine cackled out and had Ash widening his eyes and then shouts.

"What the hell do you mean!? Magmar can only evolve if it gets traded with a held item!" Ash shouted and then gasp and even greninja gasp as they watch the fire Pokemon grow and expand right before them as the light stretches out and begins consuming the spit fire Pokemon greatly as flames begin swirling and surrounding the Pokemon.

"Of course I know that, everyone knows that. Which is why this Magmar is different from my usual ones. I raised and had the Pokemon hold an item for a couple of years now and found a way, to activate the evolution by using the trade machine with a fellow colleague. Even when we did it- it didn't execute the evolution." Blaine then grinned as cannon like arms began covering Magmar's arms and stretching outwards and showing where the claws are in the black open space.s The Pokemon becoming brighter and hotter as it took on a more dangerous red and lightly pink hue to it, "But we then learned that Magmar just didn't had enough experience for the evolution. And thanks to you!"

"MAGMATOR!" It cried out and burst flames in all directions and caused Ash and Greninja to shield themselves, Greninja feeling the intense heat from the Pokemon and even burning her frog-like skin as her tongue flipped and flopped from the sheer power of the Pokemon. With Ash feeling his jacket ends flapping about from the powerful gales and winds the evolution created. Once it died down, Ash then brought his arms down and gasped. "Magmar has finally evolved into Magmator! This battle is done, and your Greninja will become our next cooked frog legs! Magmator! USE BLAST BURN SEND THAT WEAK ASS NINJA TO DUST!"

"Greninja, get out of there!" Ash shouted and called out as Greninja tried to move and then collapsed to her hands and knees, as paralyze took effect and whipped her head upwards as she saw Magmator raise both of its cannon-like arms into the air and began charging up a massive, powerful orange like energy above its head! As flames and magma began flowing out from below and swirling around and flying towards the large orb the Pokemon is generating.

Things aren't looking good for our heroes as Magmar has evolved into Magmator the final evolution of Magmar and Blaine is ready to end the battle with a blast. Will Greninja survive the blast, will our heroes be able to win their fire gym badge?! The heat is on and the battle against the hot blooded Gym leader is only beginning, let's hope our heroes can come out of this with vigor and valor! As our heroes journey…continues.
