I awaken in the soft light of dawn. I eat some cold rabbit and wash it down with water. I decide that I will stay in hiding for the morning.

I lay on the sleeping mat, and begin to cry again. Then I stop. I just lie there, doing nothing but breathing. I doze off and on. The sound of rushing water wakes me.

I realize it isn't just the Careers moving higher. All of the Tributes are being forced up by the floodwaters. I need to keep strong. The lower levels still cover a lot of ground but I don't feel safe so close to the floodwaters.

I eat some rabbit and raspberries. Then I quietly creep around, looking for more food. This time, I use handholds instead of a bridge to move higher to level 11. I'm lighter now, seven days into the Hunger Games. The anthem plays as I sneak around. No deaths today.

I find a large tree with a bit of leather sticking out. I tug on it, and I am pulling a door open. It's a hiding spot with a door! I quickly scootch in and pull the door back in.

It's a small space, and dark, but is hidden. I eat some meat in the dark, then fall asleep, sitting up, in this safe space.
