The television in Branch's living room flickered in the dark, the movie A Nightmare On Elm Street playing. The Pop Queen didn't know why she let him talk her into watching it when she hated horror movies so much. Poppy was sitting across his lap in the recliner closest to the TV, mostly burying her face in his neck instead of paying attention.

"I'm not gonna be able to go home and sleep after this," Poppy mumbled into his vest.

"Stay here, then," Branch offered, kissing the top of her head. He was always eager to spend more time with Poppy, finding any excuse to have her around.

Poppy nodded, breathing in his scent. It wasn't exactly the cleanest smell, a mix of grass, plants, and occasionally flowers, but it was all Branch.

"Next time I'm picking the movie," The Pop Queen groaned. Branch chuckled softly, knowing Poppy would choose some cheesy rom-com that he'd hate.

It was nearly midnight when the movie finished, credits rolling slowly across the screen. The teal troll tapped at Poppy's calf that was strewn over the armrest of the chair. "Alright, sweetheart, gotta get up."

Poppy moaned, not wanting to leave his lap, but swung her legs around and stood up. Branch strode to the TV and set the VCR to rewind the tape. The Pop Queen stretched her arms above her head, feeling his eyes on her as your shirt rode up above her navel. Branch couldn't help but bite his lip watching her as Poppy pulled herr hair back up into a ponytail.

The VCR clicked once it was finished rewinding and popped the tape back out. Branch put it back in its case and turned the TV off, leaving the room almost completely black, save for the light coming in through the windows.

"Can I borrow one of your shirts? I don't want to sleep in this," Poppy pulled at the button-up she was wearing.

"Always," Branch smiled. He loved seeing Poppy wear his clothes, whether that was his jacket or some ratty old t-shirt, Branch thought it was sexy.

The Pop Queen led him by the hand to his room, turning on the lamp next to his bed when they entered. Branch rummaged through a drawer, finally pulling out an old shirt and tossing it in her direction. Poppy catches it and turn around to unbutton her top. It isn't as if Branch hadn't already seen her naked, sometimes she just valued her modesty.

"Aw, I don't get to see the girls tonight?" Branch joked, unbuckling his belt to take off his shorts.

"If you're good tonight you might get to in the morning," The Pop Queen slid the t-shirt over herr head, unhooking her bra underneath it and discarding it along with her button up on the floor.

"I can't make any promises. Having you in bed with me makes it hard to behave."

The Pop Queen heard him walking up behind her as she slid your skirt off and kicked them toward the rest of their clothes. Branch's shirt just barely covered her ass, which drove him insane. Branch wrapped his arms around Poppy's waist and buried his head in her neck, nipping at the skin at her jawline. Poppy felt like melting into a puddle right then and there, humming as he continued leaving love bites down her neck.

"Branchifer…" Poppy breathe.

"Hmm?"

"I told you to be good," it was hard not to giggle as Branch picked Poppy up and playfully dropped her onto his bed.

"Fine," Branch huffed as he threw back the sheets and pulled her against his chest.

The Pop Queen turned in his arms to look at him. The lamp kept the room relatively dim but she could still see his teal blue eyes. Branch kissed her forehead and reached for the scrunchie that held Poppy's hair back, pulling it out gently and tossing it on the nightstand behind him.

"I like your hair better down," Branch murmured as he gently ran his fingers through it.

Everyone else saw Branch tough exterior and occasionally grumpy moods, but he reserved the softer side of himself for Poppy. Always a gentleman, protective and tender when they were alone together.

"You want me to keep the light on? Or will you be able to sleep with it off?" Branch asked quietly.

"Mm, you can turn it off. If I have any nightmares I'll just wake you up. It's your fault if I have them anyway."

Branch shifted to turn the lamp off, leaving the room lit by only moonlight. The teal troll laid on his back but kept one arm around Poppy, rubbing his thumb along her hip.

"I love you, Branch," The Pop Queen whispered into his bare chest.

"I love you, too," Branch replied. "Now get some sleep."
