Chapter: Halloween Special
A/N: So originally the first part of this was supposed to release on Halloween last year, but i didnt finish it in time and I forgot about it. So, for a bonus, check out the bottom part for a canonical event! Once again SPOILERS AHEAD: Read The Uchiha Rebellion before the bottom part of this story!
It was a normal day at the Konoha Ninja Academy. This year's class would soon be recognized as one of the greatest in the last fifty years, but for now, they were just a group of rowdy children. Today, however, was a special day: Halloween. The academy instructors had allowed the students the last hour and a half of class as free time, much to the joy of the young shinobi-in-training.
Students split into their usual cliques, chattering excitedly about their plans for the evening. Decorations hung from the walls: paper ghosts, witches, and bats fluttering gently as a soft breeze wafted in through the open windows. Orange and black streamers twisted around the edges of desks, giving the classroom an eerie but festive feel. The air buzzed with the energy of candy-induced excitement and the thrill of anticipation for the night ahead.
In one corner of the classroom, Naruto and Sasuke Uchiha sat, minding their own business. The two boys, both sporting raven-colored hair, were an unlikely pair. Though cousins, their personalities couldn't be more different. Naruto, with his bright blue eyes that sparkled like the clear skies, always seemed to carry a sense of adventure and mischief. Sasuke, on the other hand, was stoic and guarded, his onyx eyes rarely betraying any emotion. Still, there was a mutual respect and understanding between them that went beyond words.
Their peaceful moment was soon interrupted, however, by a whirlwind of red hair and vibrant energy.
"Hey, Naruto! Sasuke! How are ya?!" Mito Uzumaki's voice rang out, full of enthusiasm. The young girl, with her brilliant red hair that flared like fire and honey-gold eyes that sparkled with excitement, was anything but ordinary. She was the only natural redhead in all of Konoha, a rare and distinguishing trait that often brought her unwanted attention. Many in the village whispered about the ominous lineage of the Uzumaki clan, fueling resentment and hostility. But Mito? She took it all in stride, never letting it dull her fiery spirit.
Sasuke grimaced, covering his ears in mock irritation. "Quit being so loud all the time, Mito. You're going to make my ears bleed," he grumbled, glaring at the girl. Despite his words, there was no real malice in his tone—just the usual exasperation he felt when dealing with Mito's never-ending enthusiasm.
"Shut up, Teme! You're just grumpy 'cause I caught you off guard!" Mito shot back, sticking out her tongue at the Uchiha boy. She then turned to Naruto, ignoring Sasuke's halfhearted glare. "What about you, Naruto? How's it going?"
Naruto's smile widened as he saw Mito approach. He had always had a soft spot for her, admiring her for her resilience and determination. "Hey, Mito! It's going great!" he said, his tone genuine and filled with warmth. "What's up? You seem excited."
Mito's eyes sparkled as she leaned in closer. "It's Halloween! Which means… scary stories!" she announced, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, as if they were sharing some secret. "Wanna tell some?"
Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement. "Scary stories? Heck yeah! I'm always up for a good spooky tale!" He turned his gaze to Sasuke, his enthusiasm practically radiating off him. "What about you, Sasuke? You in?"
Sasuke's lips turned downward into a familiar frown. "Hn. Keep me out of your childish nonsense," he replied curtly, crossing his arms over his chest. His expression was stoic, but Naruto knew better. Beneath that cool exterior, Sasuke was intrigued. He would never admit it, of course, but the slight upward twitch of his eyebrow gave him away.
"Don't worry, Sasuke! You can just listen. We'll try not to scare you too much," Naruto teased, earning a withering glare from his cousin. Sasuke's stubbornness only fueled Naruto's excitement further.
Mito, sensing a challenge, immediately took her place in their little circle. "Alright, I'll go first!" she declared boldly, puffing out her chest with pride. Naruto nodded eagerly, and even Sasuke shifted slightly, his body language indicating that, while he might not participate, he wasn't entirely opposed to listening.
With a dramatic pause and an exaggerated deep breath, Mito began her story.
"Once upon a time, in a mysterious haunted mansion perched atop a spooky hill, there lived a monster named Barry…" Mito started, her tone taking on a playful, eerie quality. She leaned in closer as if she were divulging a secret, her voice dropping to a soft whisper. "Barry had a reputation for being the least intimidating monster in the land."
Sasuke raised an eyebrow, already unimpressed. Naruto, however, was hanging onto every word, his blue eyes wide with anticipation.
"Legend has it that every Halloween night," Mito continued, making her voice low and creepy, "Barry would don his scariest outfit—a tattered cloak, mismatched fangs, and a pair of googly eyes that wiggled uncontrollably. He'd sit on the front porch of his haunted mansion, waiting for unsuspecting trick-or-treaters to approach…"
Mito's hands gestured animatedly as she described Barry's uncoordinated attempts at being scary, painting a vivid picture of the goofy monster who was more likely to trip over his own feet than frighten anyone. She imitated Barry's feeble roars, "Roarrrr!" which sounded more like a kitten's mewl than a fearsome bellow.
Naruto chuckled softly, amused by her antics. He could see it clearly in his mind's eye—this poor, unthreatening monster desperately trying to scare the neighborhood kids, only to end up making them laugh.
"Barry's roars were more like squeaks," Mito explained, her expression exaggerated as she waved her arms. "And his attempts at being menacing? More like a wobbly dance!" She giggled, recalling the image. "But he never gave up! Even when the kids started to laugh at him, Barry kept trying."
"Is this supposed to be a scary story?" Sasuke asked dryly, his expression unchanging. "Because it sounds more like a comedy."
"Shush, Sasuke!" Mito hissed, wagging a finger at him. "It's not done yet! So anyway, one Halloween night, a group of brave trick-or-treaters decided to visit Barry's mansion. They were ready to be scared, but when they saw Barry…" Mito's voice took on a more dramatic tone. "Instead of running in fear, they burst out laughing!"
She mimicked their laughter, causing Naruto to snicker alongside her. "But then, something weird happened. They didn't leave. Instead, they started to dance along with Barry! Can you believe that? Barry's wobble turned into a full-on monster disco party!"
At this, Naruto laughed openly. Even Sasuke's lips twitched slightly, almost imperceptibly, at the ridiculousness of it all.
"From then on, Barry became famous—not as a scary monster, but as the friendliest one in the neighborhood. He opened his haunted mansion to all the kids every Halloween and they had the best parties ever!" Mito finished with a flourish, her eyes shining with satisfaction. "The end!"
The silence that followed was almost deafening. Sasuke blinked, his face a picture of disbelief. "Y'know," he began slowly, "these stories usually tend to be scary. You do realize that, right?"
"Shut up, Teme! Not everything has to be dark and gloomy like your face!" Mito shot back, sticking her tongue out.
Before Sasuke could retort, the lazy drawl of Shikamaru Nara interrupted their bickering. "What a drag, Mito. Everyone knows Halloween stories are supposed to be scary," he commented, his tone flat but edged with mild exasperation. Behind him, Choji Akimichi nodded eagerly, munching on a bag of chips.
"Yeah, Mito. You've got it all wrong!" Choji added, brushing crumbs off his cheek. "I'll show you how it's done."
He cleared his throat, puffing out his chest like he was about to reveal the world's greatest secret. The others leaned in, curious.
"This story is so terrifying, you won't believe it's true…" Choji began, his voice dropping to a dramatic whisper. "Last week, there was a special at the buffet…"
Naruto and Mito leaned forward, eyes wide. Even Sasuke couldn't help but listen more intently.
"Someone walked into the buffet… and there was… NO FOOD!" Choji exclaimed, his arms flailing dramatically.
There was a beat of silence before Naruto and Mito burst into laughter, clutching their sides as they imagined Choji's horror-stricken face at the empty buffet tables.
"That's… that's your scary story, Choji?" Naruto gasped between fits of laughter.
Sasuke and Shikamaru shared a look, shaking their heads in disapproval. "Unbelievable," Sasuke muttered, while Shikamaru sighed deeply.
"Alright, alright. Let me show you how a real Halloween story goes," Shikamaru said, waving his hand dismissively. His usual lazy demeanor was replaced by a hint of seriousness, drawing the attention of the group. Even more students began to gather, forming a loose circle around them. Among them were Ino Yamanaka and Sakura Haruno, both curious to see what the Nara genius had in store.
Shikamaru cleared his throat, his voice low and calm. "This is the story of the Haunted Mausoleum…" he began, weaving a tale of horror and suspense that sent chills down the spines of his listeners. His words painted a picture of an ancient, decrepit mausoleum cursed by a vengeful witch's spirit. He described how a group of teenagers, eager to test their courage, entered the mausoleum one fateful Halloween night, only to be trapped in a labyrinth of shadows and terror.
As Shikamaru spoke, the classroom seemed to grow colder, darker. The children huddled closer together, their eyes wide with fear as they imagined themselves wandering through the twisting, haunted halls of the mausoleum. When he described the skeletal hand that brushed against one of the teenagers' skin, a collective shudder ran through the group.
Naruto glanced at Mito, seeing her shiver slightly, and instinctively moved a bit closer, his presence offering silent reassurance. Even Sasuke, who had been unimpressed by the earlier stories, found himself leaning forward, his normally stoic expression tinged with interest.
Shikamaru continued, his voice taking on an eerie, haunting quality. "Whispers turned into menacing laughter, and the air grew thick with the scent of decay. The witch's presence became palpable, her wrath seeping into their very souls. Each step they took led them deeper into her clutches, closer to an inescapable fate…"
As he reached the climax of the story, he paused, his gaze sweeping across the frightened faces of his classmates. "Just when all hope seemed lost… they saw it—a faint glimmer of moonlight piercing through the mausoleum wall. With their last ounce of strength, they clawed their way toward the light, narrowly escaping the clutches of the vengeful witch."
The silence that followed was thick and heavy. The group stared at Shikamaru, their faces pale and eyes wide. Even Naruto and Mito seemed genuinely spooked.
"And as they stumbled out… they turned to see the ancient mausoleum crumble and disappear, as if it had never existed. The curse had been broken, but the horror of that night… would forever haunt their dreams," Shikamaru finished softly.
There was a beat of silence before Choji finally broke it, his voice shaky. "W-wow, Shikamaru. That was… really scary."
"Yeah, really spooky!" Mito agreed, her voice a little too high-pitched.
Shikamaru smirked, satisfied with their reactions. He glanced at Sasuke, expecting to see the same fear on his face, but the Uchiha remained as calm and composed as ever.
"Was that supposed to be scary?" Sasuke asked, his tone betraying no hint of emotion.
Shikamaru blinked, his smirk fading. Damn that guy, he thought irritably. Nothing gets to him.
The rest of the group shared a look, a silent agreement forming among them. Their new goal, it seemed, was to find a story that would scare the unflappable Sasuke Uchiha.
A goal that, unbeknownst to them, would lead to an unexpected and unforgettable Halloween…

The Uchiha Revenge
One Shot
Age 68
Naruto Uchiha and Mito Uzumaki stumbled through the ruins of Uzushiogakure, their footsteps soft against the shattered stone pathways that had once been the pride of the Uzumaki clan. The air was thick with ash, and the once vibrant colors of the village were buried beneath a veil of gray. Dust clung to their clothes, mixing with dried blood and sweat as they crept along the silent streets, keeping low and hidden from sight. Every breath they took was a painful reminder of what they had lost—family, friends, mentors—all gone, their fates sealed by the cursed light of the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
The oppressive silence was broken only by the distant murmur of the ocean, the waves crashing against the jagged rocks below. The scent of salt and decay lingered in the air, a bittersweet reminder of the life that had once thrived here. The ruins of Uzushiogakure felt haunted, the ghosts of the past seemingly watching over the last remnants of a broken world. But neither Naruto nor Mito could afford to mourn the dead—not when the dead were trapped in a dream that they could never wake from.
"Any sign of him?" Mito whispered, her voice barely audible over the distant roar of the sea.
Naruto shook his head, his three-tomoe Sharingan scanning their surroundings. His vision blurred, the familiar patterns of chakra lines and colors beginning to fade. He blinked furiously, willing the haze to clear, but it was no use. His eyesight had been deteriorating ever since he had overused his Mangekyo Sharingan. But he pushed on, ignoring the pain and exhaustion that clawed at his bones.
"Not yet," he murmured back, his voice tight. He turned to her, worry etched into his pale face. The intensity of his gaze, even through the hazy blur, sent a shiver down Mito's spine. "We have to keep moving. If Madara or Zetsu find us here…"
Mito nodded, her expression set with grim determination. "We won't give them the chance. The scroll Jiraiya-sensei mentioned… It has to be here somewhere."
They were both running out of time, and they knew it. It wasn't just the physical toll of constant fighting and running, or the chakra reserves that were nearing depletion—it was the crushing weight of the world they had once known, now reduced to ruins. Everything and everyone they had ever loved was gone, caught in an endless dream while the world crumbled around them.
Naruto's jaw clenched as he glanced at Mito. Her once-bright red hair was dulled by dust, tangled and matted against her shoulders. Her honey-gold eyes, which had always shone with fierce determination, were clouded with fatigue. But she was still Mito—strong, unyielding, and fiercely resolute. She was the only light left in his world of darkness, the one person who kept him grounded, who made him believe that there was still hope, no matter how faint.
"We'll find it," he whispered, as much to reassure himself as her. "We have to."
Mito's hand slipped into his, her grip tight and warm against the chill of the ruined village. "We will," she agreed, her voice firm despite the fear that threatened to choke her. "And when we do, we'll change everything."
But even as she said the words, she knew they were walking a razor's edge. Madara was the Ten Tails' Jinchuriki, a being of overwhelming power, and Zetsu was always lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike. They were the last two shinobi left standing—two specks of defiance against a force that had shattered nations. The odds were insurmountable, but Mito refused to give in. She and Naruto were all that was left, and if they were to die, they would die fighting.
They continued to move through the crumbling buildings, each step cautious and deliberate. The air grew colder, the scent of damp earth and mold filling their nostrils as they descended into the catacombs beneath the village. It was there, hidden in the darkness, that they finally found what they had been searching for—the lost archives of the Uzumaki clan.
Ancient scrolls, tomes, and relics were scattered across the stone chamber, some half-buried beneath debris, others covered in thick layers of dust. A sense of reverence washed over them as they entered, their eyes widening at the sight. This was the heart of their clan's legacy, a place that had remained untouched for decades. But they couldn't afford to be sentimental.
"Look for anything related to time or sealing jutsu," Naruto said, his voice low but urgent. He could feel the oppressive weight of chakra in the air—Madara was getting closer. They didn't have much time.
Mito nodded and immediately began scanning through the scrolls, her hands shaking slightly as she unrolled one after another, her eyes darting across the faded text. Minutes passed like hours, the tension in the air thickening with every breath. The walls seemed to close in around them, the shadows deepening as the sound of footsteps echoed through the catacombs. Zetsu was close.
"Here!" Mito suddenly gasped, her voice tight with excitement and desperation. She held up an ancient scroll, the ink barely legible. "This is it, Naruto—the time-space sealing jutsu! I think… I think it's the one Jiraiya-sensei mentioned!"
Naruto's heart pounded in his chest as he rushed over, his eyes scanning the complex seal etched into the paper. The characters were unlike anything he had ever seen—intricate, otherworldly, and powerful. But there was something else—something dangerous.
"Mito, this seal… It's not complete," he whispered, his hands trembling as he traced the lines. "If we mess this up—"
"Then I'll finish it," she interrupted, her eyes blazing with determination. "We don't have a choice, Naruto. Madara's chakra is getting closer. If we stay here any longer, we'll be caught, and then—"
Before she could finish, a deafening explosion rocked the catacombs, sending a shower of dust and stone raining down around them. The air crackled with energy, and a dark, malevolent presence filled the chamber.
Madara had found them.
His silhouette emerged from the shadows, the Ten Tails' chakra swirling around him like a tempest of darkness and power. His eyes—those cursed Rinnegan eyes—gleamed with cruel amusement as he stepped forward, his gaze locked onto the two teenagers before him.
"So this is where you've been hiding," Madara murmured, his voice echoing ominously through the catacombs. "Desperately clinging to the scraps of a clan long since eradicated. How… pathetic."
Naruto's Sharingan blazed with fury, but his vision swam, the images before him twisting and blurring. He grit his teeth, forcing himself to stand tall, to shield Mito. "Stay away from her!" he snarled, his voice raw with desperation.
Madara's lips curled into a smirk. "Defiant until the end, are we? No matter… You will both die here today."
Without warning, Madara lunged forward, his chakra surging like a tidal wave. Naruto leapt in front of Mito, his Sharingan spinning as he activated his Mangekyo. The pain was immediate, searing through his skull, but he ignored it, his focus solely on protecting Mito.
"Hakai no Kaze!" he roared, wild winds erupting from his eyes and engulfing Madara's form. But the Uchiha's laughter echoed through the powerful slashes of wind, his body shimmering as if made of mist.
"Is that all, boy?" Madara taunted, his voice mocking.
Naruto barely had time to react before Madara was upon him, his fist slamming into Naruto's chest with the force of a collapsing mountain. Pain exploded through Naruto's body, his vision flashing white as he was thrown back, crashing into the stone wall with a sickening crack.
"Naruto!" Mito screamed, her own chakra flaring as she stepped between them, her honey-gold eyes blazing with the power of the Sage of Six Paths. She raised her hands, and a massive surge of energy burst forth, forming a barrier of pure chakra.
Madara's smirk vanished, his eyes narrowing. "The Sage's power… But it won't be enough, girl."
He struck again, his chakra tearing through Mito's barrier like paper. She staggered, blood dripping from her mouth, but she held firm, her gaze never wavering.
"Naruto, finish the seal!" she shouted, her voice strained. "I'll hold him off—just do it!"
Naruto struggled to his feet, his body trembling with exhaustion and pain. But he knew she was right. If they didn't finish the seal now, it would all be over.
He turned to the scroll, his vision blurring as he poured what little chakra he had left into the seal. The characters began to glow, the energy crackling around him like lightning. It was now or never.
Mito let out a cry as Madara's blade pierced through her chest, his expression triumphant as he twisted the blade. Blood spilled from her lips, but she smiled, her gaze locking onto Naruto's.
"Do it, Naruto," she whispered, her voice a ghost of its former strength. "Do it for everyone we've lost… Do it… for us…" Mito's body glowed a bright light.
Naruto's scream tore through the catacombs as he activated his Mangekyo one last time, the Tsukuyomi forming around Madara as the seal erupted in blinding light. Tears streamed down his face as he watched Mito's body fall, her eyes closing for the last time.
With a desperate roar, Naruto grabbed the scroll and ran, his heart breaking with every step.
Naruto's heart pounded in his chest as he sprinted through the dense forest, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Each step sent a jolt of pain through his body, but he didn't slow down. He couldn't afford to. Not when every second counted. His vision swam, the world blurring around him as he pushed his battered body beyond its limits.
She's gone. Mito's gone.
The thought clawed at his mind, tearing at his resolve like a vicious beast. He could still see her face, twisted in pain as Madara's blade pierced through her chest. He could still hear her voice, her final words echoing in his ears.
"Do it… for us…"
A choked sob escaped his lips, but he kept running. He had to keep running. He had to finish what they started. The scroll burned in his grasp, its ancient symbols glowing faintly with each pulse of his chakra. It was the only hope they had left—the only way to change this hellish reality.
The moon loomed ominously overhead, casting an eerie red glow across the land. It hung like an executioner's blade, ready to descend and snuff out the last flicker of hope in the world. Beneath its malevolent light, the forest around him seemed to twist and warp, the trees bending toward the sky like gnarled fingers reaching for salvation.
Naruto's Sharingan flickered weakly in his eyes, the strain of maintaining it nearly unbearable. His once-vibrant blue irises were now a haunting crimson, the pupils dilated with exhaustion and agony. He knew he was pushing himself too hard, knew that the Mangekyo was taking its toll on his vision and body. But it didn't matter. None of it mattered if he didn't succeed.
The Mangekyo takes the light away from you, he remembered Itachi telling him.
You can't stop now, he told himself fiercely, ignoring the black spots that danced at the edges of his sight. Mito died so you could do this. You have to finish it… even if it kills you.
With a desperate leap, Naruto landed in a small clearing hidden deep within a forest. The wind howled around him, carrying with it the faint scent of blood and burnt chakra. He stumbled to a stop, his chest heaving as he fought to catch his breath. He had been running for hours, and every muscle in his body screamed for rest. But he forced himself to stay upright, his gaze darting around the clearing.
"Please, let this work," Naruto whispered hoarsely, falling to his knees. He unfurled the scroll, spreading it across the ground. The characters shimmered in the moonlight, glowing softly as he began to channel his chakra into them. Each stroke of the seal seemed to resonate with a low hum, vibrating with energy.
But he knew what was coming. He could feel it—a dark presence approaching from the edge of his awareness, closing in on him with terrifying speed. He gritted his teeth, pouring more chakra into the seal. He had to finish it before Madara found him. He had to—
"Running away, are we?" a cold, taunting voice echoed through the clearing, freezing Naruto in place. He looked up, his heart plummeting as a shadowy figure emerged from the trees, his form wreathed in the swirling darkness of the Ten Tails' chakra.
"You really thought you could escape me?" Madara sneered, his gaze sweeping over Naruto's trembling form. "You may have delayed the inevitable, but you cannot change your fate, boy. Just like your pathetic girlfriend."
Naruto's heart twisted painfully at the mention of Mito. Rage and grief surged through him, threatening to drown him in a sea of despair. But he forced it down, channeling it into the seal. The characters glowed brighter, the energy crackling around him like lightning.
"Shut up!" he spat, his voice raw. "I won't let you win. Not again!"
Madara chuckled darkly, his expression one of condescending pity. "You still don't understand, do you? This world… it belongs to me now. And you—"
Before Madara could finish, Naruto flung a smoke bomb to the ground, the thick cloud erupting between them. The acrid smell burned his lungs, but he didn't falter. Using the cover, he activated his Susanoo—the ethereal figure towering above him like a guardian of death.
Madara's laughter echoed through the smoke, low and mocking. "You think you can hide from me?" His Rinnegan blazed with power, the smoke swirling and dissipating under the sheer force of his chakra. "Your tricks are futile, boy. I can see you."
But as the smoke cleared, Naruto was gone.
Madara's gaze swept the clearing, his eyes narrowing. A spark of irritation flared in his chest as he realized the Uchiha brat had once again slipped through his fingers. But his irritation was soon replaced by curiosity as he caught sight of the scroll left behind.
"What is this?" he murmured, approaching the glowing parchment. The characters on the scroll seemed to pulse with life, the energy contained within humming softly. Madara's eyes widened slightly as he recognized the technique. "A time-space seal? So that's your plan…"
His lips twisted into a smirk. "Interesting. You plan to run, do you? To escape through time itself? Foolish. It won't save you, boy. Not from me."
Madara stared at the empty spot where the Uchiha had been, his expression a mixture of surprise and intrigue. The power contained within the seal was immense—far greater than he had anticipated. To have used it… what had Naruto sacrificed? What had he lost?
"Hmph," Madara muttered, straightening. "No matter. You may have escaped me for now, but you cannot evade destiny, Naruto Uchiha. I will find you. And when I do—"
His gaze shifted to the red moon hanging ominously overhead, a cruel smile spreading across his lips.
"—there will be no one left to save."
Madara used the power of the Rinnegan, to send a message to himself when he originally awakened the Rinnegan. A message sent through time and space.
Age 48
The world rippled around Naruto as he tumbled through the fabric of time, the seal's energy tearing at his very being. Pain lanced through him, but he grit his teeth, focusing on the one thing that had kept him going through all the suffering, all the loss.
I'll change everything, he vowed silently, his fingers clenching around the scroll. I'll make sure you don't die, Mito. I'll make sure none of this happens. I'll stop Madara, no matter what it takes.
As the light engulfed him, he closed his eyes, his final thoughts filled with the memory of Mito's smile.
And then—nothing.
He was gone, cast back through time and space to a world that was still whole—a world that he was determined to save.
Before he passed out, he knew he had to do a few things to set time right.
1. Gain Hashirama cells to repair my Sharingan
2. Guide my past self to power
3. Save Sasuke from Orochimaru
4. Protect Mito Uzumaki
After he listed off his goals he passed out.
A few hours later
The Uchiha awoke with a start, but his mind still foggy from whatever had transpired. As realization dawned upon him, he tried to access his chakra, only to find it absent. Panic began to rise within him as he struggled to make sense of his situation. "What's happened to my chakra?" Naruto muttered to himself, his thoughts racing.
Before he could dwell further on his predicament, a figure materialized before him, a man with distinctive blond hair and a confident aura. "Who are you?" the man inquired, his gaze penetrating.
Thinking quickly, the Uchiha fabricated a story. "I am Izuna Uchiha," he replied, his voice steady despite his inner turmoil. "I seem to have lost my memory and chakra upon awakening."
Minato Namikaze studied him intently, seemingly accepting the explanation for now. "That's impossible, you have blue eyes. Activate your Sharingan," he commanded, a test to verify the Uchiha's claim.
Straining to comply, "Izuna" attempted to awaken his Sharingan, but to no avail. His chakra remained stubbornly out of reach. "I-I cannot," he stammered, a note of genuine concern creeping into his voice. "It seems I was attacked and my chakra sealed."
Minato nodded thoughtfully. "We'll head to the Leaf Village. You'll need to be examined by the Hyuga clan leader to verify your eyes, Inochi Yamanaka for a mind reading, and Fugaku Uchiha to confirm your identity," he instructed, his tone firm yet understanding.
"Izuna" knew he was walking on thin ice, his deception hanging by a thread. Despite his apprehension, he followed Minato, knowing that he still had one card left to play.
Minato Namikaze had brought 'Izuna Uchiha' to Konohagakure's interrogation and Torture Department. In front of Izuna stood Minato Namikaze, Inoichi Yamanaka, Hiashi Hyuga, Fugaku Uchiha, Ibiki Morino, and the Third Hokage.
After one hour of conversation on what to do with the man once he is either proved to be telling the truth or lying, the interrogation starts.
"Izuna, I wish we didn't have to go through these measures, but the Third Shinobi War is about to end and we cannot be too safe," Hiruzen stated. Everyone in the room viewed the Uchiha before them.
Hiashi had his Byakugan active and was reviewing the chakra network of the teen before him. "His Chakra network is similar to Uchiha-sama, I suppose he is a relative of yours." He says to Fugaku. Fugaku nods at the Hyuga. The blue eyes that this 'Izuna' had still plagued everyone's thoughts.
Naruto, seeing a way out, speaks, "I guess this verifies my story?"
Ibiki laughs, "don't you wish. Inoichi here will do a mind sweep to make sure you are who you say you are."
Naruto didn't make any revealing mistakes, like getting nervous. Instead he smiled, he had waited for this moment. Inoichi prepared to enter the mind of this teen.
Inoichi used his signature hand sign to enter the mindscape of Naruto Uchiha. Now inside the mind, he walked around the place. "More empty than I have ever seen," he spoke to no one.
A voice spoke behind him, "I try to keep my mind empty. Bad for when people want to lurk around." Inoichi turned around to see Izuna leaning against a black wall.
The Yamanaka head was baffled, never once had he experienced this. "How are you here?" Inoichi asked.
Naruto chuckled, "my girlfriend was an Uzumaki. I had access to seals and learned some rather interesting things." Naruto activated his Mangekyou Sharingan. "Tsukuyomi," the word uttered caused Inoichi to be trapped in a Genjutsu for 36 hours, which would take place in 3 seconds.
"You see Yamanaka-san, I had a decent life. Towards the last year though, my life took a turn for the worse. I had hoped my team could be enough to stop the Eye of the Moon plan, but we were too weak. I was too weak. I used an Uzumaki space and time ninjutsu to come here. 20 years into the past. I didn't think that the Fourth Hokage would be the one to stop me so instantly though. That was a set back, but I relied on you. Your jutsu will always be believed without further investigation. It's not until a few years until Hiruzen learns that your mind transfer jutsu is able to be blocked like this. I have my own agenda here and you will help me start it by convincing Hiruzen I'm squared away and innocent."
Inoichi suffered hours of brain washing. Naruto only did what he needed to do here. Inoichi finally snapped back to the real world. In front of him was Izuna who was smiling still. Inoichi couldn't explain why though. "Lord Hokage, Izuna Uchiha's story checks out." He stated.
Fugaku looked at Naruto, "come with me. I'll show you a place you can stay." Naruto left with the Uchiha head and walked towards the Uchiha compound. As they were walking, Fugaku questions the teen, "Where do you come from really?" He asked.
The teen scoffed, "Did you not hear Inoichi clear me?" Naruto said with an attitude.
Fugaku looked at the teen, "the Sharingan is a great tool and has been known to have excellent genjutsu abilities. I believe you casted a genjutsu on the Yamanaka," the man stated.
Izuna chuckled, "I have my reasons. In due time I will reveal certain things," he simply stated. "I am a close relative to you though," he added.
Fugaku didn't want to accept what he was told, but something was very familiar about him. The two continued walking to the place Fugaku had ready for him.
All of Naruto's plans were now beginning to fall into place
Well this is the explanation how Naruto went back in time. Once the main cast realize that Blue Devil Shinobi is actually Naruto, more of his story will be revealed. Anyways this helps his character motives to be better understood to you all. In the end, he was too weak to save his precious Mito Uzumaki.
