Luckily for Tenya, Depestilous was still in Hosu to keep an eye on Tensei's condition, so his shoulder was patched up in a few hours. After that, it was back to internship training for everyone. As Izuku and the gang continued on to Tokyo to continue patrolling with their supervisors, he idly wondered how the rest of the class was doing.

Miss J was helping lecture some of Xenia's sidekicks, and Denki, on the proper way to disarm foes, with Xenia doing the practical part.

"Chargebolt, you seem to have some trouble controlling your Quirk," Miss J noted.

Denki shrugged. "Yeah, I'm still getting used to the changes that Mikumo-Kun gave me."

"Perhaps it would help if you had a quick lesson on electrical engineering. There's still some time in the internships." Miss J suggested.

Xenia nodded. "It would certainly help you going forward. Miss Joyce is the perfect teacher for learning new things. That's how I became the Teaching Hero."

Genesis was a little surprised to learn that Kouji was afraid of bugs.

"Can your Quirk not work on them?"

Kouji shook his head and started signing.

"The only animal Anivoice doesn't work on is humans. But I find insects too scary to talk to."

Genesis nodded. "I see. I might have a way to fix that."

She walked over to a small caterpillar, gently picking it up and, with her Qurik, the caterpillar quickly went through its life cycle, going to a cocoon, and then to a butterfly.

"I'm sure you don't mind butterflies, Kouda. But you should know that every butterfly was once a caterpillar at some point." Genesis pointed out.

The rock-headed body nodded as the butterfly perched itself on his finger.

Elle-Ate was in the park with Minoru, cleaning up trash.

"Remember that a hero must always give back to the community. And a job can always go faster if you use your Quirk." Elle-Ate said as she stretched out her body to grab a few plastic bags. "Or in my case, natural physiology."

Minoru was using a new trick he had learned, drawing the spheres he popped off back to him using small strings, which he used to collect trash more easily. He had decided to dub them the Mineta Beads.

Elsewhere, Ghost Blade and Kyouka were helping resolve a hostage crisis, the latter having her earjacks embedded in the wall of the bank.

"I think there are only two hostages in there."

Ghost Blade nodded and took out an old-fashioned phone to contact his teammates on the plan of attack. The thing about Ghost Blade was his anonimity, considering he had multiple people wearing the same guise to throw people off with manipulation tactics and deception. It was almost like using slasher movie cliches for hero work...and it definitely was effective.

While the villains might have been expecting Ghost Blade and his back-up doppelgangers, Kyouka's sudden sonic wave caught them off-guard, allowing the operation to run like clockwork, the hostages being taken to safety without incident.

Tsuyu had been serving her internship on the Oki Mariner, the proud vessel of the Sea Rescue Hero: Selkie. Right now, she was finishing up swabbing the fore deck. Sirius, one of Selkie's crew and sidekick, came down the stairs. Her Quirk was called Good Ear, and she had fins attached to her head. She was also holding a couple of canned drinks.

"Hey, Froppy. How's the work going?"

"I'm just about done-kero."

Sirius offered her a break, and they sat down to talk.

"It's kinda boring having to do work all day, huh?"

"Kinda. But to be honest, I sort of expected it." Tsuyu admitted.

"You know, when I was a kid, I always thought I knew what it meant to be a hero. I figured it'd be super glamorous." Sirius admitted. "But then I discovered it was a lot of boring patrols and cleaning up. I was also stuck with laundry duty. Trust me, you do not want to see the captain's underwear."

"But you still stuck it out somehow," Tsuyu noted.

Sirius nodded. "After becoming the captain's sidekick, I discovered for myself something important about being a hero. I'm sure you'll find out for yourself one day."

"Hey, Froppy, why are you just sitting around right now?" Selkie asked as he came on deck.

Selkie was a big guy, and his Quirk, Spotted Seal, made him look equal parts friendly and intimidating.

"I'm actually finished with the deck, captain," Tsuyu said.

"I already suggested she take a break, sir," Sirius said, pulling Froppy into a one-armed hug.

Selkie rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Sorry about that, ladies. I guess I jumped to conclusions." He then brought his hands up to his face and tried to make it as cute as possible. "Forgive me~!"

Sirius groaned. "Really, Captain? That whole 'cute seal' routine might have worked when you were younger, but right now your body is way too masculine to be cute. Just look at Froppy. She's dumbfounded."

"What?! But kids eat up my sweet face whenever I make it!"

"Because they're laughing at you! Trust me, there's nothing cute about a macho guy like you."

Tsuyu actually had other opinions.

"He's adorable..."

Just then, one of the other sailors came out from the cabin.

"Captain Selkie! We have an urgent message from the Coast Guard!"

Selkie nodded and went up to take the call.

"Looks like we're gonna be sailing out soon," Sirius noted."Froppy, can you help me unfasten the ropes?"

Tsuyu croaked, giving a nod of acknowledgement.

The Oki Mariner was ready for emergency departure by the time Selkie was finished with the call. Once they were out in the open ocean, Selkie explained the emergency.

"An incoming trade ship reported some stowaways. However, when officials inspected the ship, the stowaways weren't found. Additionally, important cargo from the ship's freight list was missing. I'm sure you all realize what that implies. Froppy, can you guess?"

Froppy thought for a second before giving her answer.

"The stowaways probably moved the cargo to another ship somewhere close by before fleeing the scene of the crime. It's possible the stowaways had plans on the ship."

Selkie was surprised and impressed. He then pulled off his cute act again.

"Correct~!"

The crew just groaned while Tsuyu gave a quiet ribbiting giggle. Selkie then recomposed himself and continued.

"Basically, we're dealing with smugglers looking for quick profit, and it's our job to find them. Based on the information we have, the boat they escaped on is likely small. At most, we're dealing with four perps. We'll track them down and deliver them to the Coast Guard. We have authorities and other sea rescue heroes tracking them as well."

"I wonder if we'll run into Serpenshia-Sensei..." Tsuyu muttered.

Once the crew's area of focus was laid out, Selkie continued his briefing.

"The sun will be setting soon, so you'll be searching on the boat via radar. Meanwhile, I'll take to the ocean and search separately. Everyone got it?"

"AYE, AYE, SIR!" the crew all said as one, including Tsuyu.

Selkie took a dive into the ocean, his shoes equipped with folding flippers. Much like Tsuyu, Selkie's Quirk gave him all the abilities of a spotted seal, scaled up to a man of his size. He could hold his breath for an incredible amount of time, and he could emit a type of echolocation from his vocal cords to navigate underwater.

By the time night fell, there was no sign of any of the smugglers.

"Nothing on visual. And nothing on radar either." Tsuyu noted.

"We'll find them. The captain's searching as well, after all." Sirius assured her.

"We have a report from the Coast Guard," Mick, the ship's Helmsman, called in. "A fishing boat believed to belong to the smugglers has just shaken off a patrol. Last seen heading for our area."

Selkie leapt out of the water nearby and landed on deck.

"I've confirmed the boat's location. Turn off the lights, so we can get close without letting them know our position."

Soon enough, the boat was spotted, and Selkie brought his crew to check it out. Tsuyu had to stay behind, largely because Selkie was concerned that the smugglers could be hostile. Sirius stayed behind with her. With the Oki Mariner impeding the fishing boat's course, a flare was shot up to get the smugglers' attention.

"Attention! This is a pro hero!" Selkie called over the loudspeaker. "We're here on behalf of the Coast Guard! We will now inspect your vessel!"

The owner of the boat, alongside two crewmates with squid features, seemed more annoyed than concerned.

"There's no sign of the missing cargo below deck," Mick reported to Selkie.

"It's like I said, we're just humble fishermen." The owner said.

Selkie noticed the large hatch on the deck, and his eyes furrowed suspiciously.

"Then you won't mind showing us what's in here, too."

"It's just a bunch of fish."

Selkie was insistent, but it turned out to be a trap, which led to the water below. It turned out the fishing boat was just a decoy, with the owner having been threatened into helping. The two squid goons dropped him into the hatch before closing it.

"That should make things easier for Boss Innsmouth."

However, they really should have checked who they were trapping, instead of just trapping to buy time. Selkie was already sending a sonar beacon using his Quirk to Sirius. Her Good Ear allowed her to pick up high-frequency sound waves that normal ears couldn't hear properly.

"This boat was a decoy. They have another boat. The captain wants us to look for it."

Mick nodded. "Right."

"Shouldn't we try to rescue the captain?" Tsuyu asked, a little concerned.

"Right now, the captain is relying on us. So we need to have faith in him as well." Sirius said.

Tsuyu realized that Sirius was smiling, and that Mick also had a smile on his face. She started to realize what Sirius was getting at and nodded with a croak.

Before long, the second ship was found hiding among the rocks.

"Cut the engines. We'll approach from their blind spot." Sirius said.

A woman similar to the goons from before could be seen keeping watch on the aft of the ship. Sirius directed Tsuyu to bring the guard over, which she promptly did using her long tongue. Before the guard could warn anyone, Sirius had her mouth muffled. That left only one other person as Tsuyu, Sirius, and Mick boarded.

Mick went to grab him, only to get ink spurted into his eyes. An octopus tentacle shot out, slamming Mick into the nearby rock wall.

"Look out!" Sirius called out, pushing Tsuyu out of the way as the villain, Innsmouth, tried to grab her.

Much like Selkie, he had an animal-based Quirk, called Octopus.

"Here I thought I'd gotten away with it," Innsmouth said, Sirius trapped in one of his tentacles, "But you idiots just won't take a hint and give up."

He started squeezing Sirius and warned Tsuyu that the woman would die if she didn't have the coast guard call off the search. A sudden communication from Sirius's radio interrupted his demands.

"The captain made it off the fishing boat. What's your status?"

Innsmouth realized the radio signal was coming from Sirius's fins. Curious, he pulled at the one on her right side, and was surprised that it came off without harming her.

"So this is actually a radio? For a moment, I thought it was part of your Quirk." He then had a brainstorm and held out the radio to Froppy. "If you value this woman's life, then repeat after me. 'Unfortunately, we were not able to locate the stowaways.'"

Tsuyu looked at the look of determination in Sirius's eyes. She remembered the words Sirius had spoken to her.

"I get it now... What it means to be a hero." She hit the button on the radio. "The stowaways are at the double rocks!"

Innsmouth growled, but instead of killing Sirius immediately, he dropped her and lashed out at Tsuyu.

"You stupid little brat!"

Tsuyu quickly leapt away and hit the rock wall, staying just one step ahead of the villain. But she made a blunder when she tried to grab Sirius, letting Innsmouth drag her in by the tongue. Tsuyu was sent flying into the opposite rock, Innsmouth leaping in her face.

"This is the end, frog..."

Just as he moved to smother Froppy, he felt a hard impact right in his back, forcing him further up the mountain and losing his grip on Froppy. He clung to the rock using his suction cups.

"What was that?!"

He looked down and his eyes widened when he recognizing his two cronies as they fell back in the water.

"BOSS!"

"My brothers! What happened?!"

He got his answer in the form of Selkie, leaping right out of the water. Tsuyu cheered up at the sight of him.

"Kero! Captain, you made it!"

Selkie smiled. "You did good work, Froppy. I've got it from here."

"That's what you think!" Innsmouth called out, spraying ink into Selkie's eyes and leaping at him.

But blinding a man who could use echolocation was a useless prospect, and Innsmouth found himself back on the boat just trying to fend the hero off.

"You bastard!" He called out, launching all his tentacles at once.

It seemed to work at first, but Innsmouth was so frantic that he had forgotten he had landed near Sirius, who quickly grabbed his leg to off-balance him.

"It's over!" Selkie called out, landing a hard flying kick right into Innsmouth's face, sending him sprawling into the sea.

With the villain defeated, Tsuyu jumped down to check on Sirius.

"Are you okay?"

Sirius giggled. "I'm okay thanks to you. How are you feeling? That blow must have been hard."

"I can still walk at least, and the pain's fading quickly. I can really appreciate how much work my classmate Midoriya put into having a high-pain tolerance to match his Reactive Adaptation Quirk." Tsuyu said,

Selkie surfaced at that moment.

"Good job, both of you." He turned over to where Innsmouth and his cronies were out cold. "Thanks to you we were able to capture these smugglers."

He then made his cute face again.

"Thanks so much~!"

Sirius let her pain flow to knock her out at that point.

"You really are hopeless..."

Tsuyu giggled and picked up Sirius's radio.

"I'm glad I chose this internship. I think I get it now, what's important to being a hero. I'll be sure to take this lesson to heart as I work to become a pro."

Sirius gave her a warm smile.

Later, the Oki Mariner brought in the smugglers, including the fisherman coerced into helping them. The admiral of the coast guard met with Selkie as Innsmouth and his gang were brought in.

"We were able to recover the illegal drugs Innsmouth and his gang had smuggled into the cargo that was stolen. It was a big haul. They even somehow got their hands on Trigger."

Tsuyu shuddered at the thought. Trigger was an infamous Quirk-enhancing drug, and it had especially horrific side effects for those with Mutant Quirks such as hers. She had even heard that Trigger had a big hand in the Naruhata Incident from years prior.

"By the way, you didn't tell me you got a new sidekick." The admiral said.

"She's a student from UA, here for an internship," Selkie explained. "Froppy here is already showing the makings of a great hero."

The admiral smiled and walked over. "Well, I'm looking forward to the day you officially get your license, Froppy. Anyone Selkie thinks can make a great hero is definitely one I'd enjoy working with."

He shook Tsuyu's hand, and the frog girl gave him a wide smile.

"Kero, Kero!"

Not much different from when mtnetsurfer covered the Anime-Only Episode but I tried to throw in a bit of grammar fixes.
