Chapter 4
First Day of Work
Poketopia, City Center
At 5:30 in the morning, with pure excitement, Judy woke up and got in her uniform, looking in the mirror, Judy rubbed her badge, and looked poured before running out the door.
But as she left, she took her keys from a small table by the door, and looked at the flash bang on it. "Ah… " Judy said, not taking it, as she left.
But Judy quickly changed her mind and came back, grabbed the flash bang and strapped it to her belt before heading towards the station.
Poketopia, Jungle District
Meanwhile Kalena and Kipo, started to walk up, with Kipo letting out a big yawn. "Morning Kalena." Kipo said to Kalena. "Morning Kipo." Kalena said to Kipo.
"So what's the plan?" Kipo asked Kalena. "We don't have a plan. Everyone we asked yesterday had no clue what we were talking about." Kalena said to Kipo.
"Then let's room around. See the sights. Maybe we'll find a clue, and maybe we'll find Judy and she could help." Kipo said to Kalena, having a very big smile on her face.
"How very… Kipo… of you." Kalena said to Kipo, before she started to walk in a random direction. "What is that supposed to mean?" Kipo asked Kalena, a confused look on her face, as she went after Kalena.
Poketopia, City Center
Meanwhile Judy had reached the police station, on the outside it looked like a building carved from stone, with a field of grass on the top, but inside was a modern building with many cops doing their daily routine, and a few civilians in it.
"Come on! He bared his teeth first!" A Midnight Lycanroc said to a cop, as he was getting taken away with a muzzle on his face.
Meanwhile at the front desk, a Snorlax was eating a whole box of cereal, not paying attention, as Judy walked up to him.
"Excuse me." Judy said to the Snorlax, surprising the Snorlax, as she tried to figure out who said that. "Down here." Judy said to the Snorlax, making him look down at Judy. "Hi." Judy said to the Snorlax.
"O-M-Goodness! They really did hire a Pachirisu! What!" The Snorlax said, getting really existed, after putting the cereal down. "I gotta tell you, you are even cuter than I thought you'd be!" The Snorlax said to Judy, making Judy a little uncomfortable.
"Oh, ah. You probably didn't know. But a Pachirisu can call another Pachirisu "cute" But when other pokemon do it… it's a little…" Judy said to the Snorlax, making the Snorlax gasp in shock.
"I am so sorry! Me Benjamin Munchauser… the guy everyone thinks is just a flabby donut-loving cop, stereotyping you. Oh." The Snorlax said to Judy. "No, it's okay." Judy said to Munchauser, before noticing a donut in his neck fur.
"Oh, you've actually got. There's a…" Judy said to Munchauser, unable to finish telling Munchauser about the donut out of awkwardness. "Um… a what?" Munchauser asked Judy, confused by Judy's actions.
"In your neck. The fold." Judy said to Munchauser, pointing to her neck. "Where?" Munchauser asked, touching his neck. "Oh!" Munchauser said, finding the donut. "There you went, you little Dickenson! Mmm." Munchauser said, before eating the donut.
This made things even more awkward for Judy. "I should get to roll call, which way do…?" Judy asked Munchauser. "Oh. Bullpen's over there to the left." Munchauser said to Judy, pointing to a room on the left.
"Great. Thank you." Judy said to Munchauser, before walking over to the bullpen. "Aw… that poor little Pachirisu's gonna get eaten alive." Munchauser said, as all the cops watched Judy walked to the bullpen, giving her odd looks.
Judy walked into the bullpen proudly, but Judy was startled by a couple Pokemon arm wrestling, but that didn't stop her. Judy moved to the table in the front of the room, and took a seat on a table with a Chesnaught sitting at the table.
"Hey officer Zaps. You ready to make the world a better place?" Judy asked the Chesnaught, holding up a fist bump. And while Chesnaught moved his fist to her, it was to push her away, not to give her a fist bump.
"Atten-hut!" A Hippowdon said, as a Bouffalant wearing a police chief uniform entered the room, making all the other cops chant "Hut!", as the Bouffalant moved to a podium.
"All right. All right! Everybody sit." The Bouffalant said to everyone, making them call down and take their seats. But the seat and table was too big for Judy, so she had to stand on her tail to see the Bouffalant.
"I've got three items on the docket. First… we need to acknowledge the Copperajah in the room… Francine." The Bouffalant said to everyone, as everyone looked at a Copperajah in the back of the room, making her nervous.
"Happy Hatched Day." The Bouffalant said, cutting the tension, before some of the cops started to punch Francine's side.
"Oh yeah." Francine said, as she grabbed one of the cops hitting her, and started to give the cop a noogie.
"Oh. Oh." Judy said, happy for Francine, but getting uneasy with how aggressive they were acting.
"Number Two there are some new recruits with us I should introduce but I'm not going to because I don't care." The Bouffalant said to everyone, with a flat look on her face.
"Finally, we have 17 missing Pokemon cases. All fully evolved, from a big named Haxorus to a nobody Gumshoos." The Bouffalant said, pointing to a map of the city with a lot of pictures on it. "And City Hall is right up my tail to find them. This is priority number one. Assignments." The Bouffalant said to everyone, holding some folders, and putting on some glasses.
"Grizzoli, Fangmeyer, Delgato, your team take missing Pokemon from the Jungle District." The Bouffalant said, giving a folder to a Sawsbuck, Carnivine, and a Toedscruel, with the Toedscruel swiping the folder from the Bouffalant, before the other two could get it.
"Officers Ix, Phanwitz, Wolfard, your team takes Desert Square." The Bouffalant said, giving a folder to a Steelix, Donphan, and Midday Lycanroc.
"Officers Higgins, Snarlov, Trubkaby. Tundratown." The Bouffalant said to the Hippowdon, Beartic, and Francine, as Francine took the folder.
"And finally, our first Pachirisu Officer Zaps." The Bouffalant said, looking at Judy, making Judy feel really excited and hopeful.
"Parking Duty." The Bouffalant said to Judy, shattering Judy's excitement and hope. "Dismissed." The Bouffalant said, before he started to leave.
"Parking duty?" Judy asked herself in disbelief. "Chief! Chief Bofo?" Judy asked the Bouffalant, getting his attention, as she ran to him, causing him to put on his classes to see her clearly.
"Sir, you said there were 17 missing Pokemon cases." Judy asked Chief Bofo. "So?" Chief Bofo asked Judy, not interested in her question.
"So, I can handle one. you probably forgot but I was top of my class at the academy." Judy said to Chief Bofo. "Didn't forget. Just don't care." Chief Bofo said to Judy, still not a care in his voice.
"Sir, I'm not just some token Pachirisu. And I promised two Pokemon I met when coming to Poketopia that I would help them find this missing kid named Bokusa." Judy said to Chief Bofo
"That name is not among the missing Pokemon. I know, because these 17 Pokemon are the only Pokemon missing, and City hall keeps asking me about that case every day. But hey, if you're such a good cop then writing 100 tickets a day should be easy." Chief Bofo said to Judy, before leaving her alone in the room.
This caused Judy to steam a little, stomping her foot a little. "100 tickets. I'm not gonna write 100 tickets." Judy said, looking mad, before having an idea. "I'm gonna write 200 tickets." Judy said, looking happy. "Before noon." Judy said, looking serious.
Judy then got a safety vest, put on a small cap, and got into her small vehicle that had a few traffic cones in it, which was very slow, and this drove her a little mad.
Judy then took her job seriously. As soon as he heard a meter expire, she was on it, and gave that car a ticket. It didn't matter where the car was, she was there in a second, it didn't matter how big or how small the car was, she ticketed them all with some fancy footwork and a little parkour, in no time. Judy was racking up tickets at a very fast pace, forgetting that she said she would help Kipo and Kalena find Bokusa.
