Hello, and welcome to another experimental My Hero Academia fic. Once again a new idea popped into my head after AN ACCIDENT occurred, in which I was playing an MP3 player on my smartphone and while listening to the songs on my collection when a song, which is an opening theme from an American cartoon show FROM THE PAST, played, which instantly jolted me back to memory lane as I recall watching a certain cartoon way back in the mid-80s.

Yup, this fic is based on the 1985 American TV animated cartoon M.A.S.K., which was actually a series of action figures and toy vehicles produced by the now-defunct company Kenner (known for producing action figures of other American series such as such as Star Wars, Batman and even The Superfriends. Kenner has been absorbed by Hasbro way back in the year 2000)

Having fond memories I discovered that the episodes are now on YouTube and immediately downloaded all the episodes and watched it on my smartphone and watched them, and after re-watching the first 10 episodes of season 1, I suddenly got inspired as a thought hit me, in which an idea about combining the elements of the My Hero Academia and the MASK lore, but I encountered a few roadblocks given that majority of the MHA characters have Quirks, and that would make them too OVERPOWERED, but I soon came up with a plot device so that I could properly use the two elements without making the two sides look too powerful that would affect the plot.

That way I could try doing this fic by having those elements come into play and see if this would attract interest from fans and readers of the two different series.

Also, since I'll be sticking close to the source material, particularly in the MHA manga and anime, majority of this fic would be based on the the manga and anime whilst the MASK elements would be an extension of sorts. Thankfully give that MASK has plenty of masks and vehicles from the source material, I can make use of the several MHA characters, particularly the UA students and some of the villains, hence I have a feeling that this fic might be fun to read.

All in all, I would be adapting majority of the elements of season 1 of MASK, and while I would use certain elements of season 2, I would not the RACING theme since it doesn't serve much on that plot, and it would remain to be seen if I'm going to use the SPLIT SECONDS vehicle as I would first see if this fic is well-received or not.

Lastly, this fic would be T-rated as I might go all-out on certain VIOLENCE LEVEL given that the MASK vehicles contain lots of weapons and ammo, though I will keep things on a PG-level, so that fans would enjoy this story.

Decades ago…

One day long ago in Qing Qing City, China, a luminescent baby was born with a unique power. Then, as time passed, the similar phenomena happened all over the world, and soon, the majority of the population had obtained superhuman powers known as "Quirks". Due to that, people were able to pursue heroism as a profession.

Heroes started appearing when the Quirk phenomenon occurred and the general populace acquired superpowers. The dawn of this extraordinary era was plagued by a breakdown of society, caused by the sudden onslaught of criminals empowered by their newfound abilities, and ordinary people being prejudiced against the "Meta Ability" users. As society adapted to the new status quo, the Police Force moved to prioritize leadership and to maintain the status quo, and as such, decided not to use Meta Abilities as weapons.

As chaos and unrest ensued due to the outbreak of these "Quirks", ordinary civilians with their own Quirks decided to take matters into their own hands to bring order to society, and thus the first "Heroes" appeared. These original Heroes to appear during this period were Vigilantes, as the Pro Hero system had not yet been implemented, beginning the "Vigilante era". Later on, the profession of crime-fighting Quirk users separate from the police and military, Pro Heroes, began to exist.

The Pro Hero System was first put into place in Rhode Island in America under the "Rhode Island New State Statute". 189 Vigilantes were affected by this statute, with only seven being accepted as official Heroes.

Now with the opportunity to become licensed Heroes and use their Quirks to fight crime legally, the number of unlicensed Vigilantes slowly began to decrease, with almost none left today.

The authorization of the use of powers that could so easily kill was greatly criticized at first. But over time, it came to garner public support due to the fact that the first people to work professionally as Heroes acted morally and upheld the law.

In the months…and years that followed, the Pro Hero System was adopted in Japan, and this gradually drives the vigilantes to underground as more pro heroes gradually became more popular as the civilians embraced the more popular ones that emerged in public and in social media due to charisma and moral conduct, such as All Might.

Ch. 1: Prologue

The present day…

Japan.

The country that is located within South East Asia, quite near different Asian countries such as China, Taiwan and the Philippines, is seen and that country is ruled by the Diet, and are handled by the Emperor and the Prime Minister. After their defeat at World War II, the country began to change for the better, and for several decades Japan vastly improved, mostly in the technological department yet their culture and values remained the same, as most Japanese citizens remained hospitable to visitors, residents and tourists alike.

The scene then zoomed further and you can see that the scene shows that the place being shown is Tokyo, which is bustling with people who are walking the busy streets, some riding vehicles, and others riding on bicycles. There are several types of people seen on the streets; adults, children, and even infants being carried by their parents. Businessmen, businesswomen, students, policemen, all kinds of persons are seen, and they were doing their usual activities as if they do not mind it.

Shops are open and the merchants are selling their merchandise and are enticing people to buy them in hopes of earning money. It was a typical day and it seems that people today are lively and felt that their lives are full of blessings and couldn't ask for anything more, as some are happy with stable jobs, students studying in the best schools, and more, and some even chatted with one another feeling that today is a good day.

"Hey!"

"Nice day, isn't it?"

"Today is a good day..."

"I love my job..."

"Life is so good..."

"I wish I have a good day..."

"Lots of money..."

"Lots of girls..."

The scene later shifts to a certain area, where business is thriving the area is frequently being besieged by customers which are a mix of adults and teenagers, and they appeared to be avid collectors, as they are looking and buying second-hand items which are technological in nature, and their reasons for patronizing the said shops are purely economical in nature - cheaper prices and practicality. You can see several shops selling HOT items for cheaper prices, such as smartphones, android tablets and even laptops, and despite being second-hand items, they appeared to be in good working conditions, and some of the customers are willing to buy them as long as their desired items are working fine as well as to save money for budgetary reasons, and the merchants are using subtle means in enticing passing customers.

"Hello...please by our items..."

"They are cheaper..."

"...they are in good working condition..."

"You can try them if you like..."

"I promise you will like them..."

"I promise you will get your money's worth..."

"Here are the items on our display..."

"Pick the one you like..."

The area in question turns out to be Akihabara, and the area is thriving and many merchants set up shops to attract passing customers and entice them to buy their products by showing the items and offered cheaper prices while assuring them that the items are in good working condition, and their marketing strategy worked as some passing customers were intrigued after hearing that so e gadgets are being sold in cheaper prices, and they began asking the merchants what itens do they sell, and the merchants showed to the customers the items they are selling, ranging from smartphones to android tablets and even laptops.

Then the scene shifts to another nearby shop, where a merchant is also selling second-hand items, but unlike the other shops, this merchant is selling something else and is catering avid collectors, and the scene shifts inside the shop where you can see the items being sold, which turn out to be classic console units and games, all being displayed on the shelves, and one by one you can see the following consoles being on display, which are:

- Nintendo Famicom

- Super Famicom

- Sega Mega Drive

- Game Boy Color

- Game Boy Advance

- Neo Geo

- Sony Playstation

- Sega Saturn

- Nintendo 64

In a matter of minutes customers passed by the shop, and most of them are avid collectors and fans of video games, and they were immediately intrigued by the items on display and they looked at the items, as some appeared to be unaware that such classical consoles actually existed, and they began asking the merchants if those consoles and its games are really something to be owned, which the merchant nodded and assured to them that the classic games are RARE, and are fun to play with, saying that even with popular games today that are released on current consoles such as the Sony Playstation 4, the Microsoft X-Box One and the Nintendo Wii, the consoles on display are even COOLER due to its nostalgia factor.

"Are they really cool compared to today's consoles?"

"Yes...they ate cool..."

"Seriously?"

"Yes, sir...they are the very first games...and they are the popular ones in its heydays...and they are RARE to find..."

"Hmm..."

"Would you like to try them...?"

"..."

"I promise you will not regret it..."

Shizuoka.

Shizuoka Prefecture is a prefecture of Japan located in the Chūbu region of Honshu. As of September 2023, Shizuoka Prefecture has a population of 3,555,818 and has a geographic area of 7,777.42 km2 (3,002.88 sq mi). Shizuoka Prefecture borders Kanagawa Prefecture to the east, Yamanashi Prefecture to the northeast, Nagano Prefecture to the north, and Aichi Prefecture to the west.

Shizuoka is the capital and Hamamatsu is the largest city in Shizuoka Prefecture, with other major cities including Fuji, Numazu, and Iwata. Shizuoka Prefecture is located on Japan's Pacific Ocean coast and features Suruga Bay formed by the Izu Peninsula, and Lake Hamana which is considered to be one of Japan's largest lakes. Mount Fuji, the tallest volcano in Japan and cultural icon of the country, is partially located in Shizuoka Prefecture on the border with Yamanashi Prefecture. Shizuoka Prefecture has a significant motoring heritage as the founding location of Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha, and is home to the Fuji International Speedway.

The scene shifts at Musutafu, which is a city where it is located somewhere in Shizuoka Prefecture. The city appeared to be peaceful as it looked like everyday life is the norm, as people are doing their daily lives, such as attending school, reporting for work at offices and establishment and the such, but this isn't what it normally appeared to be.

A few years ago…

The scene shifts at an apartment, where a five-year old boy, sporting green, curly hair and having a freckled face, is watching a live footage on his computer, where several pro heroes are seen doing heroic deeds like stopping crime and saving people. The little boy is so fixated that he aspires to become a hero himself when he grows up.

The boy is identified as Izuku Midoriya, and he appeared to be an avid fan of pro hero All-Might. As the little boy is watching in awe and admiration, his mother, Inko, smiled as she felt that her son has found inspiration, and there the little boy told his mom that he wants to become a hero like All-Might, which his mom smiled and said he would one day become one.

"Mom! Look!"

"Yes?"

"All-Might is amazing, right?"

"Yes, izuku."

"Can I become like him?"

"I'm sure you would."

"I'm going to become a hero when I grow up!"

"Yes, Izuku."

However, as fate would make itself apparent, the Midoriya family learned from a doctor that Izuku is Quirkless, and told Inko that they should just give it up, and accept the fact that Izuku is just an ordinary boy and can never become a pro hero, which Inko was in disbelief, asking the doctor how is this possible as she and her husband possess Quirks.

However, the doctor said that Izuku is one of the rare cases where he is born Quirkless and tells her that Izuku should just become an ordinary citizen, attend an ordinary school and live an ordinary life, and tells her that this is how life is, nothing more.

Izuku is heart-broken at this as he feels that his dreams will never be achieved and Inko consoled her son, seeing that he is depressed at this and apologized to her son, though all he could do is cry silently at this as he is forced to face the harsh truth and reality.

"M-mom…"

"Izuku…?"

"C-can…I…still be…a hero…?"

"Izuku…"

"…"

"Oh, Izuku! I'm sorry!"

"…"

"I'm sorry!"

In the years that passed, Midoriya's status as a Quirkless became known to his neighborhood, and neighborhood bullies uses their Quirk to torment him, mentally, and physically, to the point of badly injuring him, and as a battered and bleeding Midoriya lay on the ground, the bullies are ready to inflict more harm on the hapless boy, seeing that he could not fight back due to lacking a Quirk.

"Hah!"

"Look at that!"

"He really is Quirkless!"

"He couldn't even retaliate!"

"You're a loser!"

"You should commit suicide!"

"Yeah, you're a failure!"

"A trash!"

This made Izuku's childhood life unmemorable and Inko tried hard to make her son realize that all is not lost and that she is sure that something good is bound to happen and that a bright tomorrow awaits him and he shouldn't give up on life.

Inko's love for her son proved to be the factor that made Izuku hold on and persevere the challenges that came and he fought the misfortunes that tried to pull him down, and so far he is able to move past the fact that he is born Quirkless.

Present day…

The scene shifts at a busy downtown district as an incident is taking place as criminals are causing a ruckus and the police are having difficulty in containing the situation, prompting the police to seek aid from pro heroes, who arrived at the scene and assists them in dealing with the rampaging criminals.

As the situation is being assessed and the incident being addressed, pro heroBackdraftkeeps several onlookers at a safe distance, as he urges them to stay back in order keep them from getting injured which the citizens reluctantly obliges seeing that he is trying to protect them from getting hurt as the pro heroes are dealing with the villains.

"Okay, Backdraft!"

Moments later, another pro hero,Kamui Woods, battles the gigantic criminal. Kamui Woods states that the villain used his Quirk for illegal purposes and uses Lacquered Chain Prison on him in an attempt to stop his movement.

However, a female pro hero enters the fray, in whichMt. Lady shows up and uses Canyon Cannon to defeat him. Several people start photographing the heroine as she declares that today is her debut and asks for the rest to be left up to her. The citizens cheered loudly as they admired Mt. Lady due to her charisma and beauty, which most attentions went straight to hers.

"Hurray for Mt. Lady!"

Much later, Midoriya, now 14 years old, is attacked by the runaway slime-like villain, identified only as the Sludge Villain, shown before while walking home. Suddenly, All Might appears and uses Texas Smash against the villain, a powerful wind pressure move that defeats the villain. Midoriya vaguely sees All Might and faints shortly thereafter.

Once Midoriya wakes up, he's shocked to see his idol right in front of him. He asks for his autograph but sees it's already in his notebook. After seeing that Midoriya is safe, All Might starts leaving with the villain in his custody, but Midoriya grabs onto his leg and ends up flying with him. When All Might realizes it, he tells the younger boy to let go of him, but Midoriya says he'd die if he did, so All Might looks for a place to land. All Might starts bleeding from his mouth and gets worried due to it.

An hour later, Bakugo was captured by the Sludge Villain and uses him as hostage to keep the police and pro heroes at bay, which caused a tense standoff between the two sides as the authorities and the pro heroes are figuring out a way to stop the Sludge Villain.

Moments later the scene shows that Death Arms and other heroes are trying to fight the Sludge villain who is attempting to take Bakugo's body, but to no avail. All Might watches, scolding himself for wasting time and now being unable to fight. Midoriya thinks about All Might's words while walking down the street and approaches the crowd watching the explosions. He notices it's the villain All Might saved him from and realizes it must be his fault. The hero is now unable to save the new victim, mentally apologizing.

However, after realizing the villain has Bakugo hostage, an erratic Midoriya rushes to his rescue, while All Might is stunned at this as the other heroes attempt to stop the younger boy. Midoriya remembers his notes and strikes the sludge villain with his bag, giving him an opening to get close to Bakugo.

As Midoriya desperately tries to help, Bakugo asks why he's there, and Midoriya answers that it is because Bakugo's eyes were pleading for help, and he couldn't bear to watch him die in front of him.

The Sludge Villain recovers and attempts to attack Midoriya, pissed off at what the younger boy did, but All Might shows up and protects him. All Might admits he scolded the boy for something he hadn't done himself: risk his life in order to save other people, as a pro hero. Inspired by Midoriya's bravery, All Might uses his great strength to destroy the Sludge Villain with a Detroit Smash while freeing Bakugo at the same time.

Afterwards, the pro heroes scold Midoriya for risking his life and praise Bakugo for fighting back. Later that day, Bakugo confronts Midoriya and tells him that he never asked to be saved and that Izuku shouldn't look down on him, and though Midoriya tried to explain himself, Bakugo ignored him before leaving.

Then, All Might meets up with Midoriya again and says that the boy was the one who made the difference in the previous situation, despite being Quirkless, and that he did the same thing other top heroes had done before: move before he could even think in order to save another person. At last, All Might tells a crying Midoriya that he can become a hero.

A few weeks later…

In the meantime, because All Might acknowledge Midoriya that he can become a hero, he decided that the younger boy would inherit his Quirk, and there he begins to train Midoriya in order for his body to be strong enough to inherit the Quirk,One For All, since he knows what would happen if an untrained recipient receive the Quirk and what would happen.

As part of the training, All Might has Midoriya clean the Takoba Seaside Bay of its trash as a great way to strengthen the younger boy's body for the next 10 months, as U.A.'s Entrance Exam begins by then, wanting Izuku to become a worthy vessel by that time. All Might gives Izuku an intense training schedule for the young man to follow in the coming months.

"Okay, Midoriya-shounen…this is what you're going to do…"

"Uh…are these…"

"Yes. This would be your training regimen…"

"All of these…"

"Yes. You'll spend ten months doing this."

"S-seriously…?"

"Yes. Are you prepared…?"

"Yes, All Might."

During his training, Izuku overworks his body, and All Might notices that he has gone beyond the schedule they had agreed on. All Might scolds him for this, fearing it will have the opposite effect they were looking for. Izuku replies that he works so hard because he wishes to excel at U.A. and become a hero just like All Might. This gives All Might a brief insight into Izuku's passion for heroism.

After 10 months of intense training, it is now the day of U.A.'s Entrance Exam; Izuku has cleaned up Takoba Seaside Bay of its trash. As a result, Izuku's body is now more refined and muscular, which All Might claims is now a worthy vessel for One for All. All Might gives Izuku a piece of his hair to eat, much to Izuku's confusion. All Might says that it doesn't matter how he takes his DNA, but due to the Entrance Exam beginning in a few hours, he needs to inherit it immediately.

"Well…either way, you must consume it."

"Er…by eating a piece of your hair…?"

"Well…rather than drinking my blood…"

"…"

"Still you need to consume it. Otherwise you'll be late for the UA Academy entrance exams…"

"Okay…I'll take it."

"There…good. Now get going!"

"Thanks! See you later!"

Izuku arrives at U.A. High School in time for the Entrance Exam. After a few unanticipated mishaps, he entered the building and there he and several applicants are there a teacher came out and spoke to the applicants and explained how the entrance exams work, and after a few minutes.

Midoriya took part of the entrance exams but then he quickly discovered the side effects of the One For All Quirk, where he injured himself in the process and after several minutes time expired and he lay on the ground shocked and dejected before Recovery Girl came and uses her Quirk to any students who got injured in the process.

In the days that passed, Midoriya was awaiting news from UA Academy and wondered if he passed the entrance exams or failed, but soon Midoriya received a DVD disc which contains a recorded message from All Might saying that the younger boy has passed the entrance exams and thus he is now eligible to study at UA Academy, and Midoriya was overjoyed as he finally get to study at his dream school, and his mom is glad that Midoriya has finally found a high school where he can study without undergoing discrimination.

"Mom! I'm in!"

"Really?"

"I got in at UA Academy!"

"That's great! Your life has changed, Izuku!"

"I got to my dream school! And I now get the chance to fulfill my dream!"

"Oh, I'm so happy for you, Izuku!"

"Thanks, mom!"

"Do your best, Izuku!"

A several months later…

The scene shifts at the Kamino city where All Might and All For One had their FATED rematch as they fought back and forth with much VIOLENT INTENSITY, and seeking to get the upper hand the villain revealed that Tomura Shigaraki is Nana Shimura's grandson – Tenko Shimura – which he caused an event that led the then-younger Tenko to fall into All For One's possession and molded him into becoming his VILLAIN SUCCESSOR, much like what All Might did by making Midoriya his successor after transferring One For All to the latter.

While shocked and disheartened, All Might was not deterred and uses his remaining ember of the Quirk, he landed a decisive strike and blow which finally defeated All For One, and there people who witnessed the battle cheered on at All Might despite seeing the latter's true form which All Might remained silent.

"Hurray for All Might!"

The days passed and Japan became the trending topic as All Might announced his retirement from being a pro hero and there the police began to take an active role in assisting in dealing with criminal elements as well as assisting the pro heroes, and soon the Hero Public Safety Commission began to announce the next curriculum requirement, in which hero schools are participating in the Provisional Hero License Exams, and several schools took part in the exams, and there UA Academy, Shiketsu High and a few others passed though Bakugo and Todoroki of UA Academy failed, yet they would be given the chance to do a make-up exam in the following weeks.

Soon after Bakugo privately challenge Midoriya in a duel as he revealed that he pieced together the events and believes what Midoriya told him previously about inheriting a Quirk from someone else and though their duel was intense it was abruptly interrupted by the now-Quirkless All Might, and he gave the two younger boys a pep talk while apologizing to Bakugo for shouldering the burden he endured yet assured to him that he is not at fault for causing All Might to retire.

All Might then explained to Bakugo the circumstances and why Midoriya was chosen to inherit One For All, and Bakugo reluctantly let go of his grudges towards Midoriya and slowly began to work with him and all is well, and in the weeks that followed, both Bakugo and Todoroki took part in the supplementary exams and finally gain their provisional hero licenses.

As the third quarter of the year arrived (October), NASA detected what appeared to be an comet that is half the size of Earth, and there scientists all over the world began working together to come up with a way to get the comet away from Earth to prevent a collision as they figure that if the asteroid entered Earth's atmosphere it would cause very considerable damage, and there they calculated that the comet would approach Earth's solar system by late-October or early-November.

Weeks later the comet arrived within Earth's solar system and there several shuttle ships (about 50) arrived to intercept it, as they are operated via remote control and armed with several powerful explosives, including nuclear bombs, and there the ships began to collide with the comet, triggering the explosion, which managed to disintegrate the first half of the comet, but the other half managed to by pass the other shuttle drones and is heading straight to Earth.

Fortunately three shuttle drones arrived and did a risky maneuver by striking the remaining comet on the side which caused an explosion and disintegrated the lower half, and the result caused the remaining part of the comet to veer past Earth, which saved the planet, and everyone on Earth were relieved that Earth is saved from an impending extinction.

"Hurray!"

"We're saved!"

"We won't die!"

"Hail All Might!"

"Idiot! He's already retired!"

"Huh?"

"He is…?"

"Really…?"

However, at NASA, the scientists using their equipment, told their superiors that they detected some unusual radiation-like signals which began to affect something within Earth's atmosphere, and within minutes NASA and several agencies all over the world received reports that people with Quirks experienced the loss of their Quirks, though it only lasted a few minutes while other reports says that some of the people's Quirk began to fluctuate, losing and regaining them in an irregular manner.

This soon caught the attention of the World Heroes Association and the commissioner and members held an emergency meeting to discuss this matter as this would affect society as a whole.

Thankfully the incident didn't cause a worldwide panic as most people regain the use of their Quirks yet they still experience temporary loss and are fluctuating at random moments, but those working at various hero agencies are now arming themselves with support weapons to compensate as they anticipate that their Quirks might temporarily become inoperable and there the interns were given support weapons as backup in the case that their Quirks suddenly stops functioning.

However not everyone is receptive towards the pro heroes and the people within the main city as there are those who resented them for a variety of reasons.

And amongst those who resented the people who worship the pro heroes are those in faraway locations, such as Deika City.

Deika City.

A city in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan. Deika is a city in the mountains, so its entrance and exit routes are limited and can easily be manipulated by the army. It's described as a city surrounded by nature, making it look like a provincial city of sorts that is quite far from the main city, which makes it an ideal place for nature lovers and people who wished to experience something different.

However, unbeknownst to the majority of the inhabitants of Aichi Prefecture, Deika City is a "Liberated District" where 90% of the inhabitants, including the pro heroes, are soldiers for liberation. This is because the inhabitants are opposed to the majority law where Quirk usage by people are restricted, meaning that people with Quirk cannot use them in public even if it is for everyday use regardless of intention.

Only licensed pro heroes are allowed to use their Quirks, which caused some to resent the law as they felt that they are being oppressed and their rights being unjustly trampled. This is due to the law being passed by the Hero Public Safety Commission, as they sought to CONTROL society in a discreet way to maintain order and status quo.

The inhabitants of Deika City are doing their everyday life and while day-to-day activities and operations appeared normal, some were watching the online news on their mobile phones and are rather incensed that pro heroes are being reveled by people who seem to ignore the plight of the less-privileged, such as the Quirkless and those who have inhuman appearances.

"Those city dwellers…"

"What a society of idiots…"

"They have no shame…"

"Or rather, they have no souls…"

"Can't they feel sorry for those who are being oppressed…?"

"That's their true color…they're a bunch of selfish people…"

"Unlike us…"

"Glad Deika City is different from them…"

The inhabitants are even pissed that the likes of Endeavor is being cheered on despite his uncharismatic appearance and attitude, and All Might, who they believed that he is ignoring the plight of the less-privileged as he never brought this in public despite his charisma and reputation as the current number one pro hero.

"Endeavor is an asshole…"

"A flaming braggart…"

"He thinks he owns the world…"

"All Might is even worse…"

"He didn't even said anything about the oppressed…the ones without Quirks and those mutant-types…"

"I can't believe people are fawning over those two…"

"They're idiots…"

"Brainless assholes…"

Detnerat Company.

Detnerat is a company dedicated to the production of lifestyle support items.

With the proliferation of Quirks, especially those that cause remarkable physical changes in people, the standardized system of mass production since the industrial revolution was no longer suitable. Given the situation, Detnerat emerged as a company specialized in the production of suitable articles and items for each and every individual customer, ensuring that they can provide them with highly adapted products in just three days.

Thanks to its techniques and systems, Detnerat has risen to the top of lifestyle support manufacturing companies. Recently, the company's President and CEO, Rikiya Yotsubashi, who is secretly known as Re-Destro, has decided to venture out into the hero support industry.

In order to improve their positioning in the Hero support industry, the company leaks its prototypes into the black market. Products leaked are designed to collect data and self-destruct so that the company cannot be found out.

Moreover, he too is spreading the hidden propaganda regarding the liberation of Quirks and the like, and he too is able to discreetly amass lots of followers to his cause without alerting the authorities and thus he is able to move freely while maintaining his daily activities without problems or risks.

He continue to do this despite knowing the recent events where Quirks are currently fluctuating which one's Quirk disappeared and reappeared in random times and moments, yet Yotsubashi wasn't deterred by such things as so far his Quirk appeared to be unaffected by the recent phenomenon.

The scene shifts at a meeting room where Yotsubashi had just secured a lucrative business deal with several shareholders who were enticed by Detnerat and it's business, finding it financially enticing and the shareholders agreed to do business with the company and promised that they would do joint business ventures with him.

"Thank you, gentlemen…I promise that you will not regret this…for this deal will benefit all of us financially and all…"

"You're welcome."

As the shareholders are about to leave the meeting room, Yotsubashi discreetly handed them books regarding the LIBERATION, which the shareholders innocently took it, believing that it is just a simple book, not knowing that it contain a hidden propaganda in it's theme, as they believed that Yotsubashi is a simple businessman and nothing more.

After leaving, Yotsubashi is alone and is pondering his next step when someone knocked on the door and greeted Yotsubashi, in which the latter is quite surprised to see his fellow someone paying a surprise visit, which turn out to be Koku Hanabata, aka Trumpet, is the leader of the Hearts and Mind Party.

He greeted Yotsubashi and once inside Hanabata locked the door and told Yotsubashi about an idea on how to LEVEL UP their propaganda while discreetly challenging the authorities of the Hero society without exposing their group, the Meta Liberation Army.

Yotsubashi raised an eyebrow and asked Hanabata what he has in mind, seeing that he appeared to be inspired and the Detnerat CEO is all-ears when told about how to strengthen their organization's cause without risking exposure to the authorities and the Hero Public Safety Commission.

"Are you sure, Trumpet?"

"Yes, Re-Destro."

"You have an idea on how to strengthen our propaganda?"

"Yup. And more."

"Very well. Tell me what you have in mind."

"Okay. And I promise that you'll like this idea that I'm hatching…"

"Go on…tell me…"

"Its like this…"

After hearing this Yotsubashi is intrigued and decided to jumpstart the plan as he is delighted to try this out given the fact that Quirk users are currently experiencing the current phenomenon where their Quirks were seemingly deactivated at random times before activating again, and decided to take advantage to sow terror and distrust towards the superhuman society.

In the weeks that passed workers within Detnerat began to create a rather unique support item that also doubles as a weapon which contains some STATE-OF-THE-ART weaponry which somewhat serves as a backup to those who experience temporary loss of Quirks as well as it serve as a way to hid one's identity, which the scene shows that the Detnerat workers are attempting to mass produce technological helmets that contain hidden weapons.

There one of Yotsubashi's loyal workers came up with a proposal where aside from the technological helmets, they should also CREATE vehicles with weapons, and while Yotsubashi initially finds this suggestion a LITTLE FARFETCH, he changed his mind when the worker showed him the DIGITAL blueprint of his proposal, where it showed a sample sketch of a vehicle that can be a two-in-one hybrid.

Watching the footage on the laptop after the worker inserted a USB flashdisk, Yotsubashi raised an eyebrow when a blueprint animation shows a sketch model of a HELICOPTER having the functionality to TRANSFORM INTO A JET PLANE and vice versa, and there the worker said that he could do the same for other vehicles, and Yotsubashi tells the worker to do what he needs to do which the loyal worker nodded in acknowledgement.

Yotsubashi then told the other workers to do the same, which they all nodded in acknowledgement as they began to get to work and a week later the workers started to mass-produce some support items that resembled BULKY helmets which contains some weaponry attached to it, and there Yotsubashi is pleased with how things are going and praised them while telling them to keep up the good work, which the workers nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes, Re-Destro!"

A few days later Re-Destro came and inspected how things are going, and there the lead engineer told Yotsubashi that so far he was able to produce at least three helmets that have ADVANCED WEAPONRY, which they are still in the final stages before having them tested, which Yotsubashi is pleased and he praised and complimented the engineer for the effort he made.

The engineer then led Yotsubashi to another section where he showed to his superior other things his workers have done, where three vehicles are nearing completion and that all that's left are installing weapons and working on the HYBRID TRANSFORMATION, which the said vehicles can assume an alternate form of transportation.

"…and that's the status of the weapons and items that are being worked on…"

"Oh, so that's it…so these are…"

"Yes, sir."

"And they are nearly completed…?"

"Almost. We're just adding a few touches."

"Anything else?"

"Yes…and I wanted to show you something…"

"Please do…"

The lead engineer nodded as he showed Yotsubashi the vehicles that the workers managed to assemble and that all that is left are having them install the hybrid transformation mechanisms and weapons, and there Yotsubashi saw the following vehicles that are close to being completed:

- A dark-blue helicopter;

- A purple motorcycle with a sidecar;

- A black Ford Bronco

As Yotsubashi looks on, he is curious as to how these vehicles would be an asset, and there the lead engineer showed him a computerized animated simulation of how the vehicles would be helpful and how the hybrid transformation would work, which the following animated simulation scenes feature what the vehicles can do:

- The dark blue helicopter that can transform into a jet plane, which the latter form has the slight speed power and advanced weapons that ordinary jet planes lacked;

- The purple motorcycle has some laser-type weaponry, but has some additional features such as a releasable sidecar that functions as a single-seat submarine with the same weapons as the motorcycle;

- The black Ford Bronco has the hybrid transformation mechanisms that turns into an assault vehicle with lots of firepower;

Yotsubashi is elated with the development and there the lead engineer said that it would take another three days to complete the vehicles and by then the helmets – dubbed the MASK, would be ready for testing, and there Yotsubashi tells the engineer to do whatever it takes to have them ready.

The lead engineer then told the workers to double their efforts as Yotsubashi said that he wants everything ready as soon as possible, which the workers nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes sir!"

Hope you liked this opening chapter, as it somewhat retells certain events of the first few story arcs of the My Hero Academia manga plot, but diverges quite a bit after the Meta Liberation Army arc comes in…in which Re-Destro assigned his workers to come up with something to challenge the superhuman society…and there the workers came up with a few ones so far – three MASKS and three vehicles, which are still being completed but foreshadowing their eventual debut.

Yup, the vehicles shown in incomplete forms are the VENOM vehicles which appeared in the first episode of the M.A.S.K. animated series, which I'm sure you recognize them. The said vehicles are set to debut soon, though it remains to be seen on who would get to pilot the vehicles…

The comet subplot is based on the plot of the movie Deep Impact, and there I came up with a plot device on how that comet would come into play in this fic…where the subplot states that the comet somewhat caused an effect where Quirk users experience temporary loss of Quirks which they soon regain but started to fluctuate, in which this would give the plot a reason why some MHA characters would get MASKs and vehicles as a way to compensate their fluctuating Quirks which might inconvenient Quirk users.

Hope you liked this opening chapter, as it somewhat retells certain events of the first chapters of the My Hero Academia manga plot, but diverges quite a lot…as the select MHA characters are portrayed as ten-year old children, since I'm going to use plot elements of Digimon Adventure and meld it with the MHA lore.

Since in Digimon Adventure, the initial plot involves seven elementary school children, hence I can only accommodate seven of the Class 1-A members and use them as the equivalent of the seven Chosen Children, along with their partner Digimons.

But since this is a crossover between Digimon Adventure and My Hero Academia, there will be some surprise plot twists…which you'll find out in the next upcoming chapters…
