Emma pov 2 weeks laters

Pacing the house I glance at the door trying to control my worry, Edward tried to take Bella during a thunderstorm but James spotted them he honestly terrifies me.

He's an avid hunter even before he was turned, when he was he set his sights on humans even while he has a set of codes he follows, I know he's just as bad as the people he hunts, he enjoys hurting them and finds pleasure in their screams.

I'm cautious about him but even I have to admit he took that situation and flipped it to our favor, he decided to set his sights on Bella causing Alice to see something.

They basically kidnapped Bella claiming to be protecting her, last I heard he lured Bella away by claiming to have Renee and that unless she comes alone he'll kill her.

Laurent keeps promising he's not going to hurt Bella but it's still something I can't really believe, he had to disable Rosalie by taking her legs and arms to stop her while the rest of the coven goes to try to save Bella.

I honestly was more shocked James was never Victoria's mate and just a chosen lover that kept him going after his true mate died.

I didn't know he was suicidal either, but I guess he's hit a point continuing on without his mate is to painful, I hope he survives but I also hope if he doesn't he finds peace.

Seeing the door fly open I look up seeing Victoria come in breathing heavily before hugging Laurent shaking her head.

Swallowing I sit down, I'm not sure how to feel he scared the hell out of me but he never did anything, he was even willing to play the villain to get Bella free and changed to block Edward from her.

"What about Bella?" I ask shaking.

"Tanya and Esme had to pull Edward off her because he tried to suck the venom out" she whispers.

"He drained her?" I demand

"No, just slowed the change down, a full venom bite will turn her in 3 days quickly, all he did was remove a large portion of the venom her turning will be gradually, I am willing to add my venom to it because with her maker dead she will be uncomfortable and uncontrollably when she changes"

"What do you mean?" I demand.

"She means she's the only person who can think like James, she's willing to add her venom to ensure Bella has a maker that can understand James, during the first year a newborn is more like their maker because they are unfocused the makers venom will be running their actions, without him Bella will become uncontrollably and would risk death because she will have no control to think properly and she will be lost because a newborn is just like a human child they rely on the venom parent for directions, but unlike humans they won't accept anyone to act as their maker" Jane answers.

Hearing Rosalie growl I look at her seeing her trying to move but turn to look at Victoria "how do you plan to do this?" I demand.

"I will break her skin and lick the wound, my venom will be in her blood I would give her till after graduation before it spreads enough to change her, during that time Edward will lose interest because her scent will no longer call to him as her blood will be changing"

"How do you know this?" Dad demands.

"Because that is how Lord Marcus changed his children, they always had the strongest control and the least painful changes except for two changed as an emergency" Jane says calmly.

"Yet none are here to say if that's true" I snap.

"She's not lying, he's my maker and her and her brother's even though Aro claimed to have turned them, I was instructed to never tell anyone who truly turned me and have claimed it was a vampire named Boris" Laurent says calmly.

"Bella's been brought to a hospital, we need to go" Dad says going to grab his and Ingrid's packed bag while I grab mine

Reaching the cruiser we get in heading for the airport.

Bella pov sometime later

Opening my eyes I frown seeing Edward being blocked by Emmett and Jasper "let her boyfriend in".

Snapping my head to the voice I grit my teeth sitting up "he's not my fucking Boyfriend he's why I'm in here" I hiss at Renee.

"Bella, sweetie are you okay?" Ingrid asks shoving past Edward with Emma following her in with Dad coming last while glaring at Edward.

Seeing the cops come up I point to Edward "he kidnapped and attacked me with his sister Alice Cullen and I have a restraining order against both of them and their father" I say before anyone can speak.

Feeling Ingrid hugging me I sigh relaxing against her "who are you?" Renee demands glaring at her while pulling me away from her.

"She's my Mom" Emma says glaring at Renee as she looks at Emma with disgust.

"Good, take that and keep it away from my Bella" Renee finally says glaring at Emma.

"You should watch how you speak and handle my children Renee, I'm not someone you want to cross" Ingrid says in a calm and charming voice while grabbing Renee's hand after I flinch from her grip.

Hearing her whine slightly I glance at Ingrid seeing her let Renee's hand go, looking at Phil I silently beg him to get Renee out before Ingrid or one of the vampires kill her since they're all glaring at her.

He looks at his watch "Renee, we have to go if we're gonna make it to Florida on time since you want to drive".

"Go on, I'll be fine dad's here" I say forcing a smiling.

"Alright, but you can come to Florida with us you don't have to stay with them" she says failing to hide the tone when she says them.

I take a deep breath I glance around the room before looking at her again "just leave, I'm tired of hearing you disrespect my family, and just to be clear I am not and will never be with any guy because I'm lesbian, it's not a phase or confused and that hot blonde is my girlfriend" I say pointing to Rose.

"If you can't accept it or my family then I don't want to speak with you anymore, I'm done taking care of you when you should have been my mother instead of making me handle everything at 8 years old" I add.

Seeing Phil move forward grabbing her so her arms are pinned to her side, he smiles pulling her with him out the door calling back that it was nice to meet everyone and bye before Renee can respond from her shock.

Letting out a sigh I feel Emma hugging me while whispering it's okay, taking a shaking breath I feel myself relax while it feels like a weight was lifted off my chest.

It hurts having to do that but I feel free now, I never realized how much this was weighing on me.
