Chapter 4: The Frowns and the Dreams
The Smiling Critters are talking to SolarSquirrel, made by Twitter User kale_50, while the Nightmare Critters are looking through crates of the stuff they bought in the Critter Market of Party Peninsula.
"And here's the price for your goods," said SolarSquirrel, showing the cost.
"That much?!" KickinChicken is in shock.
"It's a reasonable price. Thankfully, Rebelland paid us a great sum from what happened there," said Bubba Bubbaphant, taking out his wallet and going through it.
"Are you sure this guy isn't scamming us? I mean, he is a squirrel," DogDay growled.
"DogDay, remember our talk about your discussion in squirrels?" CatNap hugs him to calm him down.
"I know, but."
"Take it easy."
Baba Chops and Rabie Baby sneered in jealousy when they saw their crushes embracing each other. Unknowingly, they started to make the crates crack.
"Hey, dog lover and cat lover. Don't destroy the crates," said Maggie Mako.
"You got it that bad for those two, huh? At least, it's not as bad as Simon's," said Touille.
"I heard that," Simon Smoke said, annoyed.
Touille and Maggie were about to open the food crates, but PickyPiggy picked them up and said, "Not so fast!"
"Ugh!" the two said.
"That's what you get," Simon said.
"We're done paying. We can put them in our magic backpacks," said Hoppy Hopscotch.
The Smiling Critters, Baba, Rabie, Icky Licky, and Allister Gator open their magic backpacks so everyone can put the crates in. Once they make their backpacks, they go back into their pendants.
"Great! Now that we're done, it's party time," said Icky.
"I got the map of Party Peninsula while we were at the market," said Poe, opening the map.
As the Critters looked into it, one of the shadows started walking toward them from behind.
"So, I was thinking we can go to the Glow Grove and float around while dining," said Allister, as the shadow gets closer.
"Okay. Then, after that, we can head to the Melody Meadows. I want to dance to salsa," said Bobby BearHug, as the shadow gets closer.
"I didn't think you were into salsa dancing, Bobby. But it sounds fun. And then, maybe the Euphoria Esplanade, for any art play," CraftyCorn said, the shadow is behind DogDay.
"I don't care where we go to. We are going to party until we're purple," said Touille, the shadow about to reach DogDay.
The shadow touched DogDay's hand, causing him to yelp. Everyone turned and gasped in shock at who was holding his hand.
The person turned out to be Dogpressed from Eggritos.
"You didn't even detect my presence. How sad," she commented.
"Dogpressed?!" DogDay shouted.
"So, you remember me. I feel a bit better."
"No way. If she's here, then that would mean-" said CatNap.
Suddenly, CatFeine came up from behind Simon, held his arm, and said, "That's right. The Frowning Critters are here in Party Peninsula."
Her appearance causes Simon to girly scream and fall.
The rest of the Frowning Critters showed up so UniqueCorn could say, "The Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters, you've grown a lot since we last met. But you barely changed. How lame."
"I don't believe it. The Frowning Frauds are here! Stay away from the Smiling Freaks! They're our rivals!" Baba was angered with her friends.
WimpinChickin was scared, so she hid behind Groddy Grudgebear and said, "Even the Nightmare Critters are still as mean as ever."
"Ugh, as if we need the Smiling Critters to be our rivals. You never learn, do you?" Groddy annoyed.
"Hmmm…It feels like I've forgotten something. Did I leave the oven on?" Dumbba Dumbbaphant is confused.
"I made sure on that. It's the other thing, Dumbba," said IckyPiggy.
Floppy FlopZee yawned, "Nightmare Critters, if I were you, I'd move out of the way."
"Move?" the Nightmare Critters were confused.
Suddenly, the Dream Critters from nicol12solo came running and shouted, "Nightmare Critters!"
"Oh no."
They pounced on them to hug them.
"Baba, oh, how I miss you. It's been five years. Now that you're here, we can make up for lost times," said Ben Horns.
"Get him off! Get him off! He's a personal space violator!" Baba screamed in agony.
"I'm sorry. We were so happy to see familiar faces. I'll take responsibility," Easy Peasy said.
Once the Dream Critters got off, Touille said, "Sacre bleu, just when we thought this day couldn't get any better. The Frowning Frauds and Dream Dorks had to show up and ruin it."
"Still sour as Tarte au Citron," said Virginie.
"I still don't believe it. The Frowning Critters and Dream Critters are here and alive. I thought the Nightmare Critters buried alive," said CatNap.
"You actually bought that lie?" said Rabie.
"Yes. It sounds like something you and your friends would do to them."
"Well, the truth is the Frowning Critters, my friends and I, had to move out of Critter City for training. Thankfully, Mrs. Missy understood us and let us leave by ourselves," said Bliss Teen.
"How is Mrs. Missy? Is she fairing well?" Sally Sodden asked.
"She's doing alright. In fact, she became a mother with her husband," Crafty asks.
"Mr. Wuggy is back to normal? What a sunny response. What's the baby's name?" Lee smiled.
"His name is Snuggly Wuggly. He's a yellow Wuggy."
"Now, hold on a second. What do you mean by training?" Poe asks.
"No time to waste. We made up after those five years, Smiling and Nightmare Critters. You got to shake your bodies once we take you to a club," said Coco Crocodile.
"But we have some questions," said DogDay.
"Come on, Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters. We are in Party Peninsula. We got to have fun," said CatFeine, as the Frowning and Dream Critters took the Smiling Critters and the Nightmare Critters by the hand to get them to follow.
"You are going to love this club we are taking to," said Ben Horns.
Unknown to the Four Critter Crews, Frowny Fox, made by an unknown artist, is watching them.
He took out a Playtime Phone and said, "Hey, guys. I found the party poopers and they are with the newbies. I'm following them right now. Once I get the location, we'll get to work."
