Calming Arcanine
At Ginkgo's Landing, Luan and Lynn were standing near the ocean, looking towards Firespit Island.
"How do you think our sisters are doing?" asked Luan.
"I'm sure they're fine; there's eight of them, and only three of those bandits." said Lynn.
"I hope Growlithe's okay." said Luan. As they turned, Lynn sees something swimming towards the shore at an incredible speed.
"What's that?" asked Lynn.
Meanwhile, Lincoln was sitting on a log, holding his Togepi in his arms while feeding her a berry.
"You like the berry, Togepi?" asked Lincoln; Togepi replied happily. Irida sits down on the log next to Lincoln and looks at Togepi.
"How's Togepi?" asked Irida.
"She's doing great." replied Lincoln. Irida wraps her arms around Lincoln's shoulders and rests her head on one them, making Lincoln blush.
"Look at us; we look like a married couple looking at their child." said Irida, making Lincoln's blush deepen. Irida turns Lincoln's face towards hers and leans hers towards it, her lips nearing his. Before their lips could touch, she was suddenly tackled by a wet Clover, and they fall on the ground; Clover pins Irida to the ground.
"Keep away from my future husband!" yelled Clover as she repeatedly slapped Irida before she kicks Clover off her; Irida jumps onto Clover, and they begin wrestling around.
Lincoln's sisters, along with the ones that were on Firespit Island, also Palina, Iscan, Professor Laventon, Akari, Charm, and Coin, all come running over to the scene.
"What is going on here?!" asked Palina. "Why is that bandit attacking Lady Irida?!"
"They're most likely fighting over that Lincoln boy again." said Charm with exasperation.
"We gotta grab Clover and get out of here." said Coin. Charm nod in agreement before the two Miss Fortune Bandits each grab one of Clover's arms and pull her off Irida.
"Let me go!" shouts Clover as she thrashes around to get free.
"We have to leave!" said Charm before she takes a smoke bomb from her pocket and throws it to the ground, causing the area to be enveloped in a dark haze.
"Stay away from my future husband!" Clover's voice says as it fades; when the smoke cleared, the Miss Fortune Bandits were gone.
"What is with that Clover girl?" asked Palina.
"She is smitten with our sole brother." said Lisa.
"I see." said Palina.
"But we have a problem we have to deal with right now." said Lori.
"What do you mean?" asked Irida.
"The late lord Arcanine's younger son has evolved." said Leni.
"What?!" asked Palina.
"And he's become frenzied." said Luan.
"Not again." said Lynn.
"So, what do we do now?" asked Leni.
"Looks like we have to calm down Arcanine." said Lincoln.
"Does anyone know Arcanine's favorite foods?" asked Professor Laventon. "We need to make some balms to help calm him down."
"Balms?" Palina replied.
"It's a special method that the Galaxy Team used to calm down two other frenzied lords, Lina." said Irida.
"Please don't call me that." Palina replied. "However, we know no other way to help calm Arcanine in his frenzied state, so we'll do as you request."
"I keep a large supply of Arcanine's favorite foods with me." said Iscan.
"Excellent." said Professor Laventon. "Let us get started right away."
"Let us get started right away." said Palina.
Everyone got to work making the balms needed to help calm the frenzied Arcanine; Palina and Iscan worked side-by-side with each other, while Irida and Akari each worked next to Lincoln while the Loud sisters chuckle at them.
Soon, everyone got a large supply of balms prepared and were just loading them into the boat that Palina and Iscan used to get to Firespit Island.
"I think we're ready." said Lori.
"Let's get going then." said Professor Laventon.
"I'll come with this time." said Lynn.
"Yes, you do have the best throwing arm." said Professor Laventon.
"And I want to see my new Octillery in action." said Lynn with a smirk.
"Too bad you don't put your Pokemon in their pokeballs, Lincoln; you'd be able to come with also." said Leni.
"That's just how I am." said Lincoln as he looks at his Pokemon who were looking back at him; suddenly, Floatzel steps forward and goes into the sea.
"What's with him?" asked Lynn. Floatzel looks at Lincoln and gestures him towards his back.
"I think he wants you to ride on him, bro." said Luna.
"You sure?" Lincoln asked Floatzel, getting a nod in response.
"What about your other Pokemon?" asked Irida.
"Well, it could be too dangerous for Lily to go against a noble; so maybe my other Pokemon can stay here and look after her." said Lincoln. His Pokemon nod in response and go over to Lily who giggles at the sight of them; Lily sees Togepi and hugs her while they both giggled, making everyone look at the scene with adoration.
"That is, literally, so cute." said Lori.
"Let's go then." said Lincoln as he climbs onto Floatzel's back; he feels something wrap around his chest, making him look behind him and blush when he sees Irida.
"I'll ride with you if that's okay." said Irida.
"Are you able to carry two people, Floatzel?" asked Lincoln; Floatzel nods in response.
"Looks like we're all set." said Lynn.
"I'll stay with Lily." said Luna.
"Me, too." said Lola.
"So will I." said Lucy from behind everyone, startling them.
"I hope the next memory we get back explains how you keep doing that." said Lori. "And I'll stay here also; I, literally, don't like the heat from the volcano."
"I also hope our next memory explains why you also use that word a lot." said Luan.
"So, it's me, Leni, Lynn, and Lana, heading to Firespit Island." said Lincoln.
"Don't forget me." said Irida as she nuzzles Lincoln's cheek, making him blush.
"We'll be joining you also." said Palina as she holds Iscan's hand.
"I wish to see Arcanine for myself." said Professor Laventon.
"I'll stay and help look after your baby sister, Lincoln." said Akari.
"I really appreciate that, Akari." said Lincoln, making Akari blush a bit, and Irida glare at her.
"Let's head out!" said Lynn as the Louds who were going to Firespit Island got onto their water Pokemon while Professor Laventon, Palina, and Iscan got into the boat with the balms, and they started heading back to the volcanic island.
Moments later, Loud silbling and Irida arrived at Firespit Island; after getting off their water Pokemon, Leni, Lynn, and Lana returned them to their pokeballs. They waited until Professor Laventon, Palina, and Iscan arrived on their boat. The group begin walking to where the Frenzied Arcanine was last seen; they soon arrived to see Arcanine was still there.
"So, what now?" asked Iscan.
"What we did with Lord Kleavor was Lincoln having his Pokemon battle him to stun him; then I throw balms at him until he calmed down." said Lynn.
"You think that will work?" asked Palina.
"It worked before, it'll probably work again." said Lynn.
"I hope Lincoln doesn't get himself hurt again." said Irida, remembering the encounter with Lord Kleavor.
"I'll be sure to be careful." said Lincoln.
"Loud siblings; do your best to save my dear Arcanine." said Palina. "He may have finally become a lord, but it is clear this frenzy is causing him to suffer greatly."
"We will do everything we can." said Lincoln.
"Be on your guard." said Irida. "The late lord Arcanine would launch devestating attacks after standing still and gathering light around himself."
"We'll remember that." said Lana.
"Let's do this!" said Lynn. The Loud siblings who were present, enter the area that the frenzied Lord Arcanine was in with the basket of balms that they all made, getting his attention; they watch as the Pokemon walks on the lava and onto solid ground.
"Start throwing!" said Lincoln.
"On it!" said Lynn as she and the other Loud siblings started throwing balms at Arcanine, landing hit after hit; then a glint appears in the Pokemon's eyes before it charges at the Louds with incredible speed, knocking them down.
"That was fast!" said Lana.
"Be careful with the lava also!" said Lincoln.
"Good call." said Lynn.
The Loud siblings continue to toss more and more balms at the frenzied lord until it got a little tired.
"It's tired!" said Lynn.
"Floatzel, come here and use Aqua Tail!" said Lincoln. Floatzel runs past Lincoln towards the Arcanine as his tails were coated in water and strikes the frenzied lord with them, dealing super effective damage.
"Octillery, let's try your new Octazooka move!" said Lynn. Octillery forms a blue ball of water in front of his mouth and launches it at Lord Arcanine, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage.
"Samurott, use Water Pulse!" said Leni. Her Samurott releases a mass of pulsing water from her mouth that hits Lord Arcanine, dealing super effective damage.
"Gastrodon, use Mud Bomb!" said Lana. Her Gastrodon launches a large glob of mud at frenzied lord and hits it, dealing super effective damage.
"Keep it up, guys!" said Lincoln as they all continued to throw balms at the Arcanine; suddenly, he leaps up and comes down hard onto the ground, causing a blast of fire to come out of him and ignite the surface he landed on, forcing the Louds to scatter.
"Watch out, guys!" said Leni.
"Man, that's hot!" said Lana.
"Keep throwing!" said Lynn as she continues to throw balms at Lord Arcanine; the other Loud siblings with her also threw more balms. Suddenly, five fireballs appeared over the frenzied lord and launched themselves at the Loud siblings, forcing them to quickly dive out of the way.
"Be careful!" said Palina. The Loud siblings kept throwing balms at Lord Arcanine until it began to struggle to stand upright.
"One more should do it!" said Lynn as she hurls one final balm as hard as she could at Lord Arcanine, hitting him right in the face; the light of his body began to leave it until he was back to normal.
"We did it!" said Lincoln.
"That light just vanished into the space time rift?" said Palina. The Loud siblings walked to Lord Arcanine; it gives Lincoln a red tablet.
"It's another one of those tablets." said Lana. Suddenly, the Loud siblings begin grabbing their heads and began screaming as pain courses through them. As Ginkgo's Landing, the rest of the Loud siblings begins screaming as pain courses through them as well.
"I'm thinking they found another tablet!" yelled Luna as she clutched her head.
"I guess they, literally, calmed Arcanine!" yelled Lori. Suddenly, an image of a large man with brown hair, wearing a light blue suit appeared in their minds.
"I remember him; Uncle Lance!" said Lola. Moments later, the pain fades away. At Firespit Island, Lincoln lets out a relieved sigh.
"I'm glad that's over." said Lincoln. Palina and Iscan walks over to the Loud siblings; Lord Arcanine lets out a loud howl; they suddenly hear another loud howl.
"Was that two different Arcanine cries just now?" asked Palina. Unbeknownst to everyone, another Arcanine stood on top of the volcano, looking down at them. Palina walks over to Arcanine. "My little Growlithe...no, I misspoke, Lord of the Isles, Arcanine; you and I must now live apart so that we may attend to our seperate duties." Lord Arcanine nods with a sad expression. "Now, now, all will be well; you're strong, stronger than me, in fact." Lord Arcanine nods in agreement. "From now on, let us each strive to fulfill our duties as lord and warden; now go, Lord Arcanine; your realm awaits." The Arcanine lets out a loud howl before running off.
"Was I the only one who felt like they heard the cry of the previous Lord Arcanine earlier?" asked Iscan.
"Yes, I did." replied Palina; she turned towards the Loud siblings. "Louds; I must thank you for helping my dear little one, the new Lord Arcanine." Irida walks to Lincoln and grabs his shoulders.
"Let me thank you in my own way, Lincoln." said Irida before she presses her lips against Lincoln's, making him blush, and his sister's giggle.
"Come; let us return to your siblings." said Palina.
"Sure; I don't like being far from the rest of my Pokemon for too long." said Lincoln, making Irida smile at him with adoration. The group then begin walking out of the area with one of Irida's arms hooked around one of Lincoln's.
The Loud siblings have calmed who is now the new Lord Arcanine and regained another lost memory. What else will happen as their Hisui adventure continues?
