sword dragon and the phoenix -chapter 27- cheaters and ninja
this chapter will cover content of episodes 37[back half] – 42
it will cover the match against team masho with a few of my own twists mixed in
Yusuke pov
After the rule's baggage hit, Jin decided to fight later. The first fighter to join the match was a pale yokai named Gama and Kurama agreed to take the early matches as much as he could, and I would take the later matches. Our best hope was to stall for time and hope Kuwabara would be healed enough to act as a third fighter if need be.
The fight against Gama started with him painting his body and adding to his own power. the white yokai seemed faster than Kurama but Shirou said, "Kurama is playing with the guy." But we soon learned how dangerous our foxy friend was as he soon got caught by a binding make-up that reduced Kurama's speed. Then soon enough the yokai caught each of Kurama's limbs only to learn that Kurama could use rose whip with his neck and hair to deal a fatal blow to the yokai.
Then soon enough the yokai rushed over to Kurama and splattered my friend with blood but as he died the yokai revealed he added another sealing make-up to lock away Kurama's yokai energy. He left my teammate both unable to move and with his spirit power sealed away. Kurama was forced to fight against the ice master Toya as Shirou pulled out his phone and then said "Ravel is on site and has your girlfriend, the elder Kuwabara and the rest of the peerage in a safe area. with Hakufu as the alternate fighter in a worst case."
After that Kurama used his mind to talk with Toya in hopes to stall and learn about team Masho. I knew Shirou's brother mentioned a plan to put supernatural people to use after Nero was defeated but he didn't have all the details gathered. But Ravel liked the plan as well and pretty much agreed to help him. As Toya told the story of his group, I thought that we could give this group a way to work in the human world after this match was done.
But it wasn't much longer until the ninja made an ice barrier around the ring as Kurama was free from the chain curse. but that left Kurama having to try and dodge while he couldn't use yokai power. After my friend ran and dodged, he tried to break the sealing spell, but Toya mentioned the seal would take much more blood than Kurama could afford to lose to break. As Kurama tried to stall and talk to Toya, the ice ninja didn't even know what they would do in the outside world. that proved to me pretty much all the living members of the team would likely be willing to work in the company Ichigo was building.
Soon enough, my red-haired friend took a large slash to his arm and then revealed his final trick and pulled a plant blade out of the gash to deal with the winning blow. The trick would win the match but was clearly very stupid and would need almost immediate treatment to survive. But clearly the next member of team Masho wasn't going to let Kurama get that treatment as Kurama was forced by the people in charge to fight yet another match, but it would be more of a straight beating as Kurama wasn't in the shape to fight. it was then I saw Shirou on the phone and knew Ravel was about to force her own ruling soon enough.
I had to watch for a few minutes as the scar covered yokai beat down my friend until pointing my finger at him as the team leader ordered the yokai to stop the fight with. "The platinum dragon emperor is, and his peerage mate is about to blow your head off if he has to. Beyond that Hiei has a sacred gear we don't know about so drop Kurama now or everything could be ruined for us." after that Shirou began first aid on Kurama with a few drops of Pheonix tears. With that he revealed "that barrier Ruka has up wont hold long now. I give it about thirty minutes tops."
After that I got into the ring for the next match, as it began, I learned the guy was named Bakken and his power was sweet mist. I got a few good hits but he didn't hit very hard and I soon figured I could use a good spirit gun shot to blow the mist away by infusing the shot with a little wind magic. After that Shirou explained to the fox girl ref "the mixed wind magic into his spirit gun blast. It was good for a first try without practice." After that, I killed the sweety yokai with a single punch to the gut and then said, "mixing in magic adds more punch to the hits than I thought, I only wish I got more chances to hurt him before he died." After that, I talked with Kurama and saw he was on the mend after the tears. I then said to him "even if these guys don't win Shirou's brother may be able to let them see the light they want. We just must plead their case properly." My foxy friend approved of that and said, "you will have to tell me more later on."
After that, I got into the ring to face Jin and he said to me "that wind trick you just did was nice, a little unstable but nice. After that he thanked me for taking out Bakken as he commented on Shirou in my corner and asked me "is that guy the platinum dragon like everybody says and its it true he isn't allowed to fight." I replied, "yes and you can blame the committee for that."
With that our fight began as Jin flew with the wind and when I tried to get in a punch the yokai flew into the air to dodge. I then tried to use my demon wings but knew I didn't have enough experience to fly like Jin did. He then can down, and I tried to use my own wings to dodge but was barely able to. I then tried to get a hit only for Jin to dodge and hit me himself. After that I tried to get in a kick only to fail. With that move done, Jin revealed his next move a wind fueled punch he called tornado punch. But I was able to barely dodge and avoid the hit.
I knew I couldn't afford to take on that punch and knew I was going to have to counter my own way, that way ended up by wind magic and my own wings to take it to Jin and make punches up close. Soon enough I got a good punch to Jin in the gut but the yokai was able to recover in the air but in turn I tried to use spirit gun blast to take him out only for a last-minute wind blast to save Jin. With Jin charged his fist, I prepared to fire a point-blank spirit gun and see if it would take Jin out and if I could survive the hit as well. to both of our luck Jin made sure the blast just threw to the of us back and left us with bruises and cuts all over.
After that Jin charged both hands with wind and I knew I needed to try to mix my own sprit wave training with the wind magic I just figured out into a brand-new counter move. I wasn't sure if it would work but I had to try and see if it would win this for me.
Shirou pov
As I watched Yusuke prepare his new move, the masked fighter asked me "is Yusuke doing what I think he is? from what I can tell he is trying to use a partially complete version of the spirit wave." I replied, "it's more than just that, Yusuke is an idiot by mixing wind magic from our master with spirit power to do the spirit wave." As the two clashed, Yusuke stopped Jin and sent him flying with his new spirit, and the wind canon moves. Jin then fell right around the seats Keiko was at and then passed out.
As we were waiting for the next match, I sensed an icy yokai power and it wasn't the ice master. I then called Mordred and Jan on my phone and then talked to Boton with Yukina is outside the stadium and her healing could be useful, bring her in and the twin members of my peerage will meet and help you." With that Boton went out to get the ice maiden. But as she left the fighter between Yusuke the final member of team Masho began, but before the fight could begin a voice rang out and declared Yusuke should've lost the previous fight and declared the match a double ring out. That left only Kuwabara able to compete.
It was after that a voice rang out and said "Kuwabara will be allowed to try and finish the match with any weapon he can wield. Team Urameshi will be given five minutes to prepare him to fight." Yusuke then said "what just happened? I replied Ravel donated phoenix tears to give us a chance to win this fair and square match. It wasn't much longer that Yukina came in and provided the beat-up member of the team with a little healing as I gave him the Orphic hammer.
The battle began with Kuwabara stumbling and having to use the hammer as a cane. He then made the first charge and tried to use his spirit sword over the hammer, but his sword failed due to his energy mostly drained to use heal. I just told the boy the hammer should do more damage than any spirit attack you have now. but the weakened boy couldn't swing it with the leader of the team being too fast. After a few more hits Kuwabara seemed to get his second wind and counter the last member with pure martial art. It was after that Risho left the ring and gathered the dirt to form rock armor for himself. But soon enough the young punk gathered his ki into the hammer and crushed the ninja's chest and dealt him with a fatal blow. With that he won the match and passed out. The next moment he said to me "this hammer is super freaky next time making me something less creepy. I then told him, "Yukina will be going to school with you next semester." And that made him burst with happiness.
Chapter end
Next chapter Yusuke will meet his spirit beast and start the final test from his master
But first ichigo will have deal with the curse of Tsukishima affecting his friends
