Hello fellow readers and writers, I was recently inspired by Leonzalezart on Instagram. But I have my own twist and turns for this AU. Also, somethings I have took from watching Mufasa The Lion King recently.

I own nothing but a few OCs. Everything else belongs to Walt Disney and Leonzalezart.

As the bright sun began to rise beyond the horizon a lion's roar echoed, alerting all the animals of the Pridelands. A rhino lifted it's head as another roar echoed over the land.

A clan of meerkats stood alert as a flock of flamingos took flight along with many different birds. Traveling through the cold waters were many herd animals.

Antelope and Gazelle pranced alongside the galloping herds of buffalos, zebras and wildebeests. As the sun continued to bathed the waking kingdom a mother giraffe and her young calf stop on a hill before continuing with the rest of their journey.

A young light blue hornbill flew over the gathering animals towards a structure, pride rock where at the peak stood a brown lion. As the sun shined from the sapphire sky it made the lion's scar across his left eye gleam.

Once the female hornbill landed by the lion's tan colored paws, she bowed causing the brown pelted lion to smile and dip his head in a regal acknowledgment. He moved his green eyes from the hornbill to the crowd below to smile when he saw a mandrill walk by some buffalos.

Once the royal mjuzi climbed to where the lion was he embraced him where the lion returned the embrace before leading the primate to a cave entrance where a beautiful dark beige lioness with dark brown earrims laid.

"Ah, the new princess looks like her grandmother. Minus the light purple eyes and gold coat, of course." Rafiki smiled as he gazed at the future queen.

"Yes, that's why Taka and I decided to name her after my mother." Sarabi purred before licking her daughter, waking the princess up at the same time.

The light brown cub blinked open a pair of green eyes as she yawned before looking at the new creature over her.

Rafiki smiled widely before sprinkling a bit of dust on the heiress causing her to sneeze. Taka and Sarabi nuzzled as their primate friend marked their daughter's head with some fruit juice before picking up the infant and heading towards the peak.

With a mighty thrust Rafiki thrusted the princess into the air where all the animals below cheered and celebrated before bowing as a beam of sunlight shined down on the princess.

Behind pride rock, away from the royal presentation was a cave where a small grey mouse scrurried out into the open before a large gold paw stepped on it.

"This must be your unlucky day, rodent." chuckled a large gold, red mane lion as he held the mouse close by it's tail. "As I would never be king, you will never see the light of another day."

"Didn't your mother ever teach you not to play with your food?" a feminine voice asked disgusted.

"Oh, Arella what do you want?" The gold lion asked, rolling his orange eyes.

"I'm here to tell you that Queen Sarabi is on her way! So you better have a good explaination to why you weren't at the ceremony this morning."

The mouse escaped the prince's grip, "Now Arella, you made me lose my lunch."

"You'll be losing more than that when the queen gets through with you." the light blue hornbill scoffed.

"Oh, I quiver with fear." the large lion said, eyeing the light blue hornbill like lunch.

"Mufasa, don't look at me that way!" Arella shouted as Mufasa engulfed the bird in his mouth.

"Mufasa, enough!"

The gold prince turned and saw his sister at the cave's enterance.

"Drop her!" the dark beige lioness growled.

Mufasa splits Arella out and the female hornbill looked disgusted with the lion's saliva on her as the queen approached.

"Well isn't it my little sister, coming from up on high to mingle with the commoners."

Sarabi's dark brown rimmed ears flickered as her tail swayed side to side. With a intake of breath and releasing she ignored her brother's comment and got to the point of her visit. "Mufasa, Taka and I didn't see at the presentation of Eshe."

Something snapped at the mention of his late mother's name before he shook his head before smiling at his sister."That was today?"

The gold lion put his claws on the stone wall, scraping them down as he said "I feel awful."

Arella couldn't stand the noise and hid behind Sarabi's fornt legs as Mufasa looked at his newly sharp black claws.

"Must've slipped my mind."

"Well as slippery as your mind is, as the Queen's brother you should of been first in line!" Arella said as she flew over to the annoyed lion.

"I was first in line, 'till my wrecthed mother gave it away! Now there's a little hairball!"

"That hairball is my daughter and your Furture Queen!" Sarabi reminded her brother.

"I shall practice my curtsey." Mufasa said while walking away.

"Don't turned your back on me, Mufasa!" The beige queen warned.

"Perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me."

Sarabi roared as she bared her teeth at her brother."Is that a challenged?" the queen demanded.

"Temper, temper. I wouldn't dream of challening you."

"Pity, why not?" Arella asked with her wings on her side.

"We're family," Mufasa started walking away, "I wouldn't hurt my little sister."

When Mufasa was gone, Arella shook her head. "There's one in every family, m'lady. Two in mine actually." Arella flew up on the queen's shoulder.

Sarabi sighed and shook her head."What am I doing to do with him?"

"He'll make a very handsome throw rug!" Arella said with a smile.

"Arella!" Sarabi chided with a playful smile.

But the hornbill wasn't finished, "And just think, whenever he gets dirty you can have his majesty take him out and beat him!"

Sarabi laughed, it echoced through the air as she made her way back to pride rock.
