Fuller was excited to be going on vacation with his extended family. Not just his parents and siblings but also his aunt, uncle and cousins. Including his favourite cousin, Kevin.

It was the night before the vacation, and the whole family was having pizza. Fuller ate happily, almost forgetting about the scary man who had been here earlier, with the gold tooth. He had asked Fuller so many questions, and all Fuller could do was stare.

Now Kevin and Fuller's mean older cousin, Buzz, seemed to be having some kind of argument. Fuller took a big swig of Pepsi as he watched.

"Fuller, go easy on the Pepsi!" his mother called. Fuller finished the can and smiled happily at Kevin, who looked furious for some reason.

Now Buzz was doubled over, looking like he was going to be sick. Kevin rushed at his brother, knocking him over and sending pizza boxes flying.

"Wow!" Fuller jumped up to see what was happening, but found himself pressed up against the wall by a chair. By the time his mother had pulled the chair back and picked him up, it was all over.

"Look what you did, you little jerk!" Fuller's father yelled at Kevin. The room was a mess.

Kevin's mother dragged him off to his room. Fuller was left wondering what had upset his cousin.

The next morning Fuller was woken by his mother shaking him awake. "Fuller, we slept in! We have to go to the airport."

"Huh?" Fuller rubbed his eyes. He noticed that his sheets were wet.

His mother sighed as she noticed too. "I don't have time for this. Leave the sheets and get ready."

Fuller knew Buzz would make fun of him if he saw the sheets, so he bundled them up and went to hide them in the wardrobe. Once he was clean and dressed, he went to join the rest of the family out by the car. His cousin Heather was doing a headcount of all the kids. Buzz was being annoying, calling out random numbers. One of the neighbour kids was hanging around asking questions.

Once he had been counted, Fuller looked around for his favourite cousin. "Where's Kevin?" he asked. No one listened to him. He decided to go back in the house to get Kevin, who must still be in the attic. That was where he had slept last night as punishment.

Fuller snuck away and crept up the stairs to find Kevin. As he did, he heard someone call, "Bring me back something French!" He looked out the window. The car was pulling away.

Horrified, Fuller bolted back down the stairs but it was too late. The front door was shut and when Fuller opened it, he saw the car was gone.

Not knowing what to do, Fuller shut the front door again. His parents would come back for him. They had to.

"Kevin?" he called tearfully.

Fuller found that he was too scared to go up to the attic now everyone had gone. Maybe Kevin had gone too. He went to get his sheets out of the wardrobe and put them in the machine in the basement instead. The basement was scary too, so he dropped the sheets and ran.

There were sounds coming from upstairs. Fuller froze, remembering the man with the gold tooth, but then he heard Kevin's voice. "I made my family disappear!"

Fuller ran up the stairs and nearly collided with Kevin, who looked disappointed to see him. "What are you doing here?"

"They all went to the airport," said Fuller, less scared now Kevin was here. "We're home alone."
