Words: 1,430Author's Note: I created this because I was crying and missing Foggy. Summary: Foggy proposes to Matt. Foggy's POV: "Who's the lucky gal?" the jeweler said with a smile on her face. I felt my cheeks burn as I looked down. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't afraid to tell people that I was dating the most wonderful man on this planet, but let's just say I was more afraid of how they would react. "Sir, you ok?" The jeweler asked as she tapped on the glass to get my attention. "Hmm, oh yeah. All good, ha. Sorry, I was just thinking," I said, giving her a little smile. "Ah, it's understandable if you're having doubts. I know these things can be pretty expensive," she said with a little chuckle as she tried to hide the price tag that was connected to the ring in her hand. "Oh no, no doubts here. I was just thinking about how I first met my... partner," I said with a little hesitation. "Oh well, how did you guys meet?" the jeweler said as she grabbed some more ring cases from the glass. "College. Were both lawyers," I said, thinking back on the first day of college. "Aww, that's so sweet. How long have you two been with each other?" she asked as I scanned the rings. "About five years now," I said with a smile on my face so big that my cheeks started to become sore. "Wow, that's amazing. Well, I hope everything goes well.", "Me too," I said as I took a deep breath. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous as all hell. I spent the next twenty minutes looking through the rings. "Sorry if I'm taking so long," I said with a nervous chuckle. "Oh, no problem. Take your time. I understand how important this is," she said as she played with her fingers. I could tell she was becoming restless. "I'll take this one," I said as I picked up a ring with a diamond, and the sides were clatted in rubby gems all around. "It's his favorite color," I whispered to myself as I handed her the ring. "That's a perfect choice. Very beating." She said as she rummaged through a container for a ring box. "What about this one?" She asked as she held up a red velvet box. "That's perfect. How much?""Two thousand," she said as she handed me the ring that she had already placed in the box. "Perfect. Here you go," I said, handing over the money. This was going to hurt my bank account. "Thank you, have a good day," she said with a little wave and a nod that I returned back to her. "No going back now," I said as I got into my car. I could feel my heart pounding. Matt's POV: "Hey babe, I'm home," I could hear Foggy say from the doorway as I was putting dinner together. "Hey love, how was that talk with the potential client? Are they going to hire us?" I asked as I turned my head in his general direction. "Huh?" He said in a questioning voice. "Remember you told me you were going to talk to a new potential client today?" I said as I turned the burner off. I could smell the charing, so I knew it was ready enough. "Oh yeah, right, right. Ha sorry babe just a long day at work today." Foggy said with a nervous chuckle. Something was definitely wrong today. I could hear his heartbeat. I know he's lying, I just don't know why. "Well, that's ok. Anyways, ready for dinner," I said as I had already plated two plates for us. "Yes, please. I am famished," Foggy said as he licked his lips. Foggy's POV: *Time Skip* Today was the day. The day that my life could change for the good, or for the bad. "Hey, hon, you ready?" I asked Matt, who was rummaging through our drawers as I finished brushing, sticking back my hair. "Yup. All done," He said as he walked towards me. "How do I look?" Matt asked with a little twirl. "Handsome as ever, baby," I said, pulling him in and wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him against me. "Mmm," I moaned as he slipped his tongue in my mouth. "Stop. We have a dinner," I said with a chuckle and a little smirk, pushing him away from me. "We could skip it," Matt said in a whiny voice against my ear. "And what see you out of that suit. Not a chance," I said as I gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You're such a tease," Matt said with a groan, grabbing his cane. "I know, and you love it." Matt's POV: "We're here," I heard Foggy say as the car came to a stop. "I still can't believe you got us a reservation at Le Coucou," I said as I opened more door stepping out. "It's one of the hardest places to get into," I said as I felt Foggy take my hand and wrap it around he arm. "I know you don't have to tell me that. It took three months just to score this," Foggy said with a chuckle. "Three months," I said with a gasp as I stopped in my spot. "Fogs, you didn't have to do this," I said with a smile as I took his hands in mine. "Oh yes, I did because you are so worth it. You are worth every penny," He said as he kissed me. "Now come on, I don't want to be late," he said as he took me by my waist as we swayed back and forth, bumping each other. This was where I wanted to be. Right here, right now. Foggy's POV: "Hello gentleman how's your night been so far? How's the food been?" The waitress asked as she walked up to our table. "Busy, and the food has been delicious. Give our compliments to the chef" I said with a little chuckle, and an eye roll. "Well I'm glad that you have been enjoying the food. Would you like any dessert?" She said with a little smile. "Uhm yeah can we get your firecracker chocolate cake" I said as I looked to Matt. "Is that okay?" I said as I nudged him. He was lost in thought. "Yes, yes that sounds wonderful" He said with a smile. "Okay perfect. Coming right up" the waitress said as she walked away. "You ok?" I asked as I rubbed circles into Matt's hand with my thumb. My other hand rummaging through my pocket for the ring box. "Yeah I'm good. Just feel a little off for some reason" he said giving my a reassuring look. "Matt give me your hands" I said as I took a deep breath. No time for performance anxiety now I said to myself. "I love you so much you know that right?" I said as I got on one knee. The people around started gasping. "Of course" He said as he looked around trying to hear what was going on. "I want to spend the rest of my like with you. I never want to let you go. I never want to lose you." I said as I pulled out the ring box. You cpuld hear all the whispering, and murmering. "Foggy what's going on?" Matt asked as he started tearing up a little. I could tell he was getting overwhelmed. "I love you Matt so, so much. Will you marry me?" I said as the pop from the ring box filled the room. Silence. It was dead quite. Me, the other patrients of the reastruant waiting for an answer. Nothing. I could feel my heart pound, and tears prick my eyes. "Matt?" I said with a whisper as I squeezed his hand. "Yes" Matt said with a chuckle as I could see tears roll down his cheeks. "Wh-what?" I asked in shock. Did he really just say yes. "I said yes you nimrod" Matt said louder. "Woohoo" I shouted as I pulled him towards me, kissing him. I could hear the clapping, and the little "woohoo's" from the people around us. "I love you future Nelson" I said as I stood up pulling him with me. "We'll work on that love" Matt said with a chuckle as he kissed me with a little smile. Here's to the rest of my life with the most important person in the world. THE END
