Peter was walking home after a long day at School. He was thinking about the pile of homework waiting for him when he heard a familiar annoying voice.
"Hey, Parker! Walking home alone again? What a loser!" Flash shouted, his voice dripping with mockery.
Peter just sighed but kept walking, trying to ignore him.
"Too scared to say anything, huh?" Flash continued, catching up to Peter and shoving him slightly. Peter stumbled but regained his balance, still refusing to respond. He could feel the eyes of other students on them, some watching out of curiosity, others out of concern.
Just as Peter was about to turn the corner, with Flash's insults getting worse, a firm voice cut through the air.
"Back off, Flash!" MJ Watson stepped between Peter and Flash, her eyes blazing with anger. "Don't you have anything better to do than harass someone ?"
Flash scoffed, but just rolled his eyes saying. "Whatever." He muttered, turning to leave but not without giving Peter one last dirty look.
Once Flash was out of sight, MJ turned to Peter, crossing her arms. "You know what, you can't keep letting him do this. You have to stand up for yourself. It will continue," she said sarcastically.
Peter just kicking a pebble on the sidewalk. "Well I just don't like violence, MJ. It never solves anything."
MJ sighed dramatically. "Alright, do whatever you want to." She said, before walking away.
Peter didn't pay much attention to her and walked back home. Entering the dining room, as always, he found it empty. He sighed and checked the fridge, but there were no leftovers. Another sigh escaped him as he went back to his room and lay on the bed, covering his eyes with his arms.
"You should eat something, Peter,"
Peter just sighed and replied, looking at the wall, "I'm not hungry, FRIDAY."
After just saying that, his stomach grumbled faintly despite his lack of appetite.
The automated voice of AI, filled the room with concern hearing Peter."You should eat something, Peter," FRIDAY prompted, her tone gentle but insistent.
Peter let out another sigh, still facing the wall. "I'm not hungry, FRIDAY," He replied, his voice muffled by his arms.
FRIDAY paused for a moment before responding. "Is everything okay, Peter?"
Peter hesitated, contemplating whether to confide in the AI. He sighed and said," It's just... just a rough day, FRIDAY. nothing much."
Peter hesitated, contemplating whether to confide in the AI. He sighed and said, "It's just... just a rough day, FRIDAY. Nothing much."
FRIDAY remained silent for a beat before saying, "Should I inform the boss about it?"
Peter shook his head, saying, "No, don't tell Dad. He must be busy. I don't want to bother him."
"Understood, Peter. Your privacy is important. If you change your mind or need assistance, I'm here to help." The AI said.
Peter nodded gratefully, appreciating FRIDAY's discretion. "Thanks, FRIDAY. I'll let you know if anything changes."
With that settled, Peter closed his tired eyes once again to wash over his tiredness and drifted off to sleep.
With that settled, Peter closed his tired eyes once again, allowing sleep to wash over his weariness as he drifted off.
Five-year-old Peter sat on a hospital bed, clutching a plush toy tightly, his eyes staring off into space. He didn't understand what had happened. He had been with his parents on the plane when suddenly everything went dark. When he woke up, he was alone in the hospital room.
Peter didn't really understand what was happening as he suddenly saw his parents covered in white sheets in the hallway. He ran to them, calling out, but they didn't move.
A nurse gently pulled him away, explaining him softly that his parents were gone forever. Peter couldn't understand it. Why would they leave him alone? Why couldn't they listen?
Anger and sadness engulfed him as he felt a deep sense of betrayal by his parents.
Tears streamed down his face as he felt lonely and sad.
As he was processing everything, he felt a presence behind him, but he didn't look back, assuming it was one of the nurses urging him to eat, which he didn't want to do. However, he was wrong. Instead, a man in a suit knelt in front of him.Peter didn't say anything as he just stared at the man.
"You're just gonna stare at me like this or gonna ask me something?" The man said, raising his eyebrows. Peter tightened his hold on his toy, looking uncomfortable. The man sighed. "Kid, see, I don't know how to talk to a child, so... never mind. I am Tony Stark, and I am here to take you with me. As I am your legal guardian from now on."
Peter continued to stare at him without blinking. Tony got up and wore his glasses, looking at Peter. "Come on, get up. We need to go home."
Peter blinked slowly, processing Tony's words. Tony's awkward attempt at communication only added to Peter's confusion, but he spoke up slowly, his voice barely above a whisper."Go... go home? With you?"
Tony nodded solemnly, his eyes softening. "Yes, Peter. You're coming with me now."
Peter's eyes filled with confusion and sadness. "Why do Mama and Papa want me to go with you and not with them? I want to be with them! I want them to take me!"
Tony's expression hardened as he gently lifted Peter's chin to meet his gaze. "Listen, kid. You say that once, and you never say it again."
Tears welled up in Peter's eyes. "Why? I want my Mama and Papa! I want to be with them, not you! I don't want to go with you!" He cried, pushing against Tony with all his might, but Tony's grip remained firm on Peter's shoulder as his heart sank watching Peter's tears fall.
He again knelt down to Peter's eye level, his voice gentle yet firm."I know this is hard, Peter. And I wish things were different too. But your Mama and Papa... they can't be with you right now," Tony explained, his tone tinged with sadness. "They asked me to take care of you because they love you more than anything in this world."
Peter's shoulders shook with sobs as he struggled to hear Tony "But... but why?" He choked out, his voice trembling as he
buried his face in his hands, his cries echoing in the room.
Tony wrapped him in a comforting embrace sighing ,his heart breaking for the young boy in his arms.
"There are some things that even adults can't understand, Peter. But I promise you, I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe and happy, Believe me." He said now cupping Peter's cheeks.
Peter looked at Tony, uncertainty swirling in his mind as he glanced around the room. But deep down, he knew he had no one else. With a heavy sigh, he slowly got up from his spot on the floor, clutching his toy tightly to his chest. "Okay," Peter murmured, his voice barely audible.
Peter sat up on the bed, rubbing his face as he remembered the complicated history between his parents, Mary Parker and Tony Stark. Mary had been Tony's girlfriend, but their relationship ended abruptly when she discovered she was pregnant with Peter. Mary made the decision to leave Tony without informing him about the pregnancy, believing that he wouldn't want to be a father.
However, Tony was not the playboy Mary thought he was. He had always cared deeply for her, and when he learned about Peter in the hospital, he rushed to his side, determined to be there for his son. Tony made a promise to himself that he would never leave Peter alone, no matter what.
But It had taken Peter a long time to accept Tony as his father after the hospital incident. He couldn't just suddenly accept someone as his father, even if Tony showed him so much love.
But eventually, he did call him "dad" for the first time when Tony returned from Afghanistan after being freed from the kidnappers. Peter missed him terribly and realized what Tony meant to him.
He got up from his bed and wore his Spider-Man suit, looking at the photo frame of him and his father. "Thanks, Dad, for everything you've done for me. Now it's my turn." He said before jumping out of his room window as Spider-Man.
To be continued...
