Two Months Later:

The Incredibles are in the Incredibile outside the Municiberg bank listening to the police scanner waiting for something that they can help out with when Violet asked "Dad, how much longer are we just gonna sit out here. I've got stuff to do and the Rydinger's are coming to pick me up in the morning".

Bob answered "Just a little longer. You're not going to be here tomorrow, and I want to have our family hero time. You're just so busy with either school, Tony, or homework that we barely get to spend any time together nowadays".

Violet said "I'll always have time for a little family hero work. It's just that I have a lot of schoolwork, and I've never had a boyfriend before".

Bob said "Well, just remember that your dad loves you and wants to spend as much time with you as he can".

Violet blushed and responded, "Of course dad".

Helen said "That reminds me. Kids, have you done your homework".

Violet answered "Yes".

Dash answered, "Of course I have mom".

Helen knew her son was lying and said in a sigh "Dash".

Dash retorted "What mom. You don't believe me".

Helen said firmly "Dashiell Robert Parr".

Dash said "Okay, I didn't".

Helen exclaimed annoyed "Dash".

Dash said "I'm sorry mom but why would I do homework when I can do this. Isn't this more important. Tell her dad".

Bob agreed with Dash, but Helen gave him a look that told him to be quiet or he'd be trouble. Bob stayed silent and Helen said "Dash, I know you wanna be a Superhero. Hey, we're even out here doing it. But you can't put homework aside for this. You need to do it first and then this".

Dash retorted "But what about all the people that need us. Why did you leave to be an advocate for Super rights when you didn't want us doing it".

Helen answered "I wanted you to have the choice. I hated the illegality of Supers as much as any of you. But I always knew that being a Super came second. Helen and her life, and her family always came first. I struggled with this when I first became a Super as well, but I realised that I couldn't be a Superhero if I wasn't Super when I was not being a hero. Dash, you need to be your best self before you can be a hero".

Dash asked, "But what does that have to do with homework".

Helen said "I know homework is boring and you don't want to do it. I didn't either".

Bob said "Nope".

Helen said "But we had to do it. We had to learn and get good grades. If I didn't do it then I could have never got the jobs, I had when I was younger".

Bob said "Do you think I got my Insureicare job because I was a Super. No, I had to study hard, and Bob had to get it".

Helen said "Quickdash can't save anything unless Dash, saves himself first. Do you get what I'm saying".

Dash answered "Yes mom. I'll do my homework when we get home".

Helen responded "Good boy. And if you need any help, remember that me and your father are always here to".

Bob interrupted "Not Math. Anything but Math".

Helen said "Okay, if you ever need any help with Math I'll always be here to".

They were interrupted by the sound of the alarm going off in the bank and Bob said, "I think that's our call".

The Incredibles quickly put their masks on and rushed into the bank to stop whatever was happening. As they entered, they saw the bank manager and his staff. They ran up to them and the bank manager said "He's in there. Stop him. Stop him before he robs the whole bank".

Mr Incredible said "It's okay. You all need to go and wait outside for the police. We'll stop whatever miscreant thinks he can steal people's hard-earned money".

The bank manager said, "Be careful he's a Super".

The Incredibles were shocked and asked, "He has powers".

The bank manager answered "Yeah. He burst in here and used his powers. It was horrible".

Mr Incredible put his hand on the bank manager's shoulder and said "We'll stop this villain. Don't worry".

Quickdash exclaimed "A supervillain. Cool".

Elastigirl said "Not cool Quickdash. He's dangerous and must be stopped".

Mr Incredible said "Come on everyone. We can't let him get away". The Incredibles ran through the bank until they reached the vault. They saw the bank robber and Mr Incredible said, "Stop thief".

The bank robber turned towards them and said "Ah, Mr Incredible, we meet at last. I was hoping to run into you one day and aren't I lucky because we also have Elastigirl here. Two of the people I have been dying to meet. But we aren't alone because we have three little Supers along for the ride".

Elastigirl said "Leave the kids out of this. We are here to stop you from robbing the bank and that's that".

The bank robber said, "For that to happen, first you need to catch me". The bank robber opened a portal below him and jumped in and appeared at the exit.

Mr Incredible said, "Chase after him, he's getting away".

Quickdash used his incredible speed to catch up to him and then knock him down. The bank robber said, "Good trick kid but watch out for this". The bank robber than opened a portal below Dash and Dash fell through and the portal opened at the ceiling of the room.

Dash began to fall and scream as he did. Elastigirl exclaimed "Quickdash". She then stretched out her arms and caught her son before bringing him back to her and hugging him when he reached her.

The bank robber said, "So long Super zeros".

Mr Incredible still barrelled towards the bank robber and as he jumped to tackle him. The bank robber opened a portal below him and he fell through. Mr Incredible landed on the floor and the Incredibles all looked up to see him outside on another building's roof and running away from them. The police entered and upon seeing the Incredibles asked "Where is he. Where's the bank robber".

Mr Incredible answered sullenly, "He got away".

The Incredibles drove home depressed that they failed today. They remained silent the entire way and when they arrived, they each went to their rooms. Violet was packing for her trip tomorrow with Tony and his parents and when she picked up her super suit, which she was going to take in case she needed it but decided that after today she should put it back and put it back in her closet. Dash was doing his homework. Helen put Jack-Jack in his crib before leaving and going to her and Bob's bedroom. Bob was sitting on the bed under the sheets and in his pyjamas. Helen said "Well, today wasn't a great day. Our kids had to experience their first Super failure".

Bob said "It wasn't a failure. We just weren't expecting him to have powers as well. And it isn't there first. Remember the Underminer".

Helen responded "Yeah but that was before Supers were legal. It was different, we were in hiding and trying to help out in secret. Now, everything is back to the way it was, and Supers are depended on. They feel like they let them down. You remember the first time a mission ended in disaster".

Bob answered "Yeah, it wasn't a good day".

Helen said "Neither was mine. I felt horrible and that I was unworthy of being a Super".

Bob responded, "But you weren't and when the kids realise that they'll be back to their normal selves".

Helen said "Bob, tomorrow we gotta talk to them. Remind them of that. Tell them that we're here for them and that they shouldn't give up just because of one bad day".

Bob said "You're right. I just hoped they'd never experience it".

Helen said "Neither did I. But they have and we need to be there for them right now".

Bob agreed and said, "In the morning, we'll make their favourite breakfast and talk to them".

Helen said "Absolutely. We need to get up early".

Bob said, "Good night honey".

Helen said, "Good night honey". Bob and Helen kissed before lying down and going to sleep getting a good night sleep because in the morning Violet and Dash would need them.
