18 Years Later:
Helen, Bob, and Lucius are waiting in the NSA waiting area and Rick Dicker comes over and says "Elastigirl, Mr Incredible, Frozone. Follow me". They all followed Rick Dicker to his office and as they entered and he closed the door, he asks "So, how did it go with Timemaster. I'm assuming that's why you're here".
Rick Dicker got Timemaster's file out and Bob answered "Poorly, he got away and".
Helen blurted "He took the kids with him. They fell through the portal with him. I couldn't save them". Helen began to cry again, and Bob comforted her.
Bob said "You see, this is something very serious that we need assistance with urgently. Do you know anything about Timemaster".
Rick Dicker answered "Besides what he announced. Yeah, he has powers that allow him to travel through time via the portals that he creates".
Frozone asked "So, it's true. He's really gone back to help his father stop us in the past".
Rick Dicker asked "Is that what he told you. Then yes, he would have the power to do it".
Helen said "Then let's go back as well. Let's stop him and get our kids back".
Rick Dicker closed Timemaster's files and said, "I'm sorry but we can't".
Helen demanded "Why not".
Rick Dicker answered "Besides from the fact that we have no Supers on staff that have that ability. Time travel is unstable, and you could do far more damage to the present than you realise".
Helen leaned over the desk and slammed her fists against the table. She said, "No. My children are trapped there. My babies, and you tell me that there's nothing I or anyone else can do".
Rick Dicker responded, "I understand".
Helen retorted "No you don't. I watched. I had to watch my own children fall into that portal and I couldn't save them. I tried but I couldn't hold on. You know what that does to a mother, hearing her children call out to her, beg her to save them, and she can't. It's the worst feeling in the world".
Rick Dicker took a breath and said, "I can't possibly know what you're going through and I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do". He then began to walk out of the room and said, "I'm sorry, I truly am. I guess that we can only hope for that they find you".
Bob asked "Find us. What does that mean".
Rick Dicker answered "They're in the past. And if they went through the same portal that Timemaster did then they are back 18 years ago".
Helen asked "So, you mean our kids are back when we stopped Supehunter".
Rick Dicker answered "It only stands to reason that they would. He wanted to go back there to stop you in the past and then he created a time portal".
Helen asked "So, our kids are with us. The past version of us".
Rick Dicker responded, "I hope so".
Helen said with the first time with excitement "I know our kids, and if they found themselves in the past then they'd come to look for us".
Lucius responded, "Hate to destroy this happy moment but they did run away to fight Timemaster alone".
Helen responded "My kids might be reckless and a danger to themselves especially when their trying to be heroes, but they're not stupid and know when to much is too much. And by themselves, they'll never go after him alone especially when there's two of them and all Supers are on the line, including them. They'll find us".
Bob asked "But will we believe them. I mean, if three children came up to you eighteen years ago and said that they are your children from the future and need help. Would you believe them".
Helen thought about her past and she immediately became depressed because she remembered how she felt eighteen years ago. She sighed before sullenly walking out of the room. Bob and Helen drove home in silence and when they entered, they saw the kids uneaten waffles that they had left from the morning. Helen looked around and everywhere she looked remaindered her of the kids. She looked to the floor near the kitchen and could see her playing with Jack-Jack. He then ignited himself becoming ingulfed in flames and Helen panicked rushing to the fire extinguisher and spraying Jack-Jack putting the fire out. Jack-Jack began to laugh at this, and Helen picked him up. She then turned to the backyard where she could see herself timing Dash as he'd run around the outside of the house trying to get a better time and when he achieved his personal best he leaped into the air with joy. She then turned to the front door where she could see Violet and Tony going to the school dance and she's taking a photo of them together. After this she could see Bob reminding Violet what time she was expected to be back and Violet palming him off and trying to get herself and Tony out of the house before Bob gave Tony the dad talk and what he expected of him if he wanted to go out with his daughter. Helen had tears in her eyes thinking of her children and she said, "I'm going to bed". Helen then sullenly walked upstairs, and Bob wanted to help her but didn't know what to do and he as well missed the kids terribly.
Bob followed Helen to see holding the family picture from their Hawaiian holiday and crying looking at it. Bob then laid besides her and for a man that was so strong wanted to cry as well but couldn't because Helen needed to. He then closed his eyes and went to sleep as Helen clutched the picture close to her as she closed her eyes and went to sleep as well.
Helen dreamed as if she was like watching a memory of her coming home from the doctors after finding out she was pregnant with Jack-Jack. She was about to enter the house when she told Bob "I'm scared about the kids. What will they think. How will they react".
Bob told her "They'll be fine. They'll have a new baby brother or sister and be happy for the newest member of our family".
Helen was unsure because this is the first time she's had to tell the kids about something big before and last time Violet was very little and couldn't grasp the responsibly, all she knew that she was getting a brother or sister. She responded "Okay. Let's tell them".
Bob and Helen entered the house and Dash rushed over to them and asked "Are you okay mom. What's wrong".
Violet asked "Yeah, are you okay".
Dash said "I've never seen you sick before mom. I was worried".
Helen responded "Don't be baby, I'm fine. In fact, me and your dad have news to tell you. There's going to be a new member of the family".
Violet responded, "You don't mean".
Bob answered "Yes Vi. You and Dash are going to have a new baby brother or sister".
Dash exclaimed "Cool". He then rushed over to Helen's stomach and said, "Is it in there right now".
Helen answered "It sure is, honey. You can't see it but it's there".
Dash asked, "Is it a boy or a girl".
Helen answered, "We don't know yet, it's too early but whatever it is, we'll be happy to welcome it into our family".
Violet went over and felt Helen's stomach and said "I hope you're a girl because I already have a brother but if you aren't then I'm still going to be happy. I'll be the best big sister you could ask for and I promise that I'll always be there for you, protect you, and play with you. I only hope that you like me".
Helen responded "They will sweetie. They already know how much you love them. And I know that no matter what they'll be okay because they have the both of you to be there for them and look after them". Helen then hugged Violet and Dash and said, "I'm so grateful I have you two".
Dash responded, "We're happy to have you as a mom".
Violet said "Yeah, there's no one better, and they are so grateful to have you as well".
Helen was so happy to hear this and hugged them before telling them "I love you both so much".
Bob asked "Hey, I think they're lucky to have a dad like me as well".
Helen responded, "Of course they are". The family then hugged, and Helen remarked "What was I worried about. This baby's going to be fine, they have us and us Parrs, always stick together". The family then hugged again and Helen watching this began to cry thinking about this moment.
Bob then dreamed that he was watching a memory of himself in the waiting room of the hospital. A nurse came out and said "Mr Parr. You can go in now. Your wife and daughter are waiting for you".
Bob exclaimed gleefully "Daughter".
Bob entered the hospital room and saw Helen holding the beautiful baby girl he had ever seen. She had long hair, even for a baby and he could tell that it wasn't black at all but violet. He went over to them and Helen said "Look Bob. Our baby girl. Isn't she beautiful".
Bob answered "She saw is. Look at her hair. It's violet".
Helen responded "I know right. It's perfect. Like her". She then gasped and said, "I know exactly what to name her, Violet".
Bob responded, "It's perfect, honey". Bob then kissed Helen and they both looked at Violet peacefully sleeping in her mother's arms.
Helen asked, "Would you like to hold her".
Bob became scared and said "Who. Me".
Helen responded "Of course you, silly. You are her father".
Bob asked "But what if I drop her. What if I".
Helen interrupted him and said "You'll be fine. I trust you".
Helen passed Violet to Bob, and he was so careful to hold her and knew how delicate she was and how easy it was for him to hurt her. Violet said, "It's alright, you won't hurt her". Bob was still unsure but then Violet snuggled against him, and he smiled at his daughter and knew that if she trusted him, then he wouldn't hurt her. Bob then sat on the seat next to the bed and Helen said "See, you're perfect. And I'm not the only one that thinks so". Helen then stroked Violet's head and knew that they be good parents because Violet believed in them, and she was the only one who's opinion mattered. Bob watched this scene gleefully because this was the first time he felt confident about his ability to have a family, something that he had always wanted. He then felt devastated that he failed his family and couldn't save his children.
Bob and Helen both woke up in horror from their dreams and turned to each other. They both knew the other was struggling and that they needed each other. They embraced in a hug and held each other close because if they had any chance of getting to see their children again, they needed to work together and help each other through the worst moment of their lives.
