"Help me!" An Obelisk Blue was running through the forest in horror. He, and his friends had done something that Duel Academy had banned, and for good reason from taking classes with Professor Banner, and they had paid the price for it. The spirit they had summoned desired three sacrifices that they assumed was cards but meant actual people. Now two are gone, and one is left. Himself. 'My friends there gone... I need to make sure, I'm not next, and get some help!'
Meanwhile...
It was now Winter Break at Duel Academy, and mostly everyone went back home for the holidays. But Jaden, Syrus, the Rush Duelists, Alexis, Zane, Bastion, Chumley, Mimi, Yuzu, and Professor Banner are staying at the Academy to spend more time together. Right now they are at the Slifer Dorm together watching Syrus, and Jaden having a duel while Banner, and Yuzu is fixing some hot pot. Tiger had been training Syrus for a while, and she had decided to see how he can do in a duel.
"Still never pegged you as the teaching type, Tialina."
"He asked, and I figured I try it." Tiger shrugged to Asana as she watches. "He's the sheepish, and jumpy type, but I can kick that out of him." It'll take a while but she can have him almost be like herself.
Syrus was currently dueling Jaden while having a small blush as he tried using the recorder to control his breathing. "My turn Jaden, and I'll start by activating Pot of Greed. This…"
Suddenly there was a loud crash as someone fell into the dorm.
"Huh?" They all looked over seeing the figure as they headed over as he raise up looking completely pale that Jaden couldn't help but comment on it. "Wow, you look like you seen a ghost."
"I have..." the boy from before answered over looking really scared.
"What do you mean?" Gavin questioned. "There's no such thing as ghosts."
Walking over Professor Banner frowned. "Wait I recognize you, you're Torrey. You were in my para-dueling class."
"Yes professor!" the boy, Torrey, gripped onto Professor Banner's outfit looking horrified. "And everything you said about Duel Spirits, the Spirit World being real, all of it is true!"
"Huh, what are you talking about?" Luke asked hearing that. "Para-dueling?"
"Later time." Yuzu spoke over that detail isn't important right now. She then turned over towards Torrey. "Now Torrey take a deep breath, and tell us what is going on."
"Well... after our lessons me, and a couple of friends of ours tried to see if what your saying is real." Torrey starts to explain what is going on about it. The stuff they do is forbidden but they still went ahead, and do it, and only Banner should know how to stop this. "We... already seen, and heard of the monsters around the island but we wanted to see if they are real, then perhaps the Spirit World is real too... so we studied some stuff... even though the Academy forbids it."
"Torrey, what did you and your friends do?" Professor Banner asked him. "Where are they?"
"Well, after your class I told two of my friends about what you said, about how to summon a Duel Spirit. I don't really know what happened, maybe it was because we lit a bunch of candles, or used Dr. Crowler's bath sheets as robes but this time... something was different." Torrey had thought they were doing something wrong at first but when it started reacting they know they had managed to successfully contacted a spirit. A rather dangerous one. "We put our hands on the Ouija Board, said the chant and then there was a gust of wind. The spirit said "Give me three and I'll be free"."
"Oh no." Yuzu frowned hearing that. "What spirit did you summon Torrey?"
"It's... Jinzo." This further dread both husband, and wife's moods.
"Jinzo? That was that monster that can shut-down all traps while it's on the field?" Luke brought up recalling the monster.
"Yes, it's a very powerful card." Yuran recalled.
"We thought he meant cards but... he meant people."
"Oh dear me no," Banner denied this, and looked real worried. "Jinzo's appetite would never be satisfied with mere cards, this is just awful."
"But your buddies should be home right? It's Winter Break so maybe that it's-"
"No they aren't." Torrey denied from what Jaden is saying. He had assumed that as well, but when he was told they weren't with there families, he tried to escape himself but... "I already called all of there families... they said there not there. I knew then that my two friends were taken, and I'm next... I tried evacuating the island but... he was already there waiting for me... I just ran..."
Hearing that Tiger frowned. "So there's a ghost after you, is that it?"
"Yes... and I'm last-" Before Torrey can say more the lights in the dorm went out, and the candles were blown out. This terrifies Luke as it reminds him of Toombs being all scary, and such.
Luke cried out at that. "Someone turn on the lights!"
"Calm down, it's likely just a bulb or a fuse." Professor Banner reassured him.
"Or maybe, it was me!"
They all turned over at the collapsed doorway where a man wearing a cloak, and hat was holding Torrey's unconscious body in his arm was there.
"Torrey!" Jaden cried seeing that. "Give him back!"
"We had a deal!" the figure stated as he turned and carried Torrey off.
"Hey get back here!" Jaden yelled running after him over.
"Jaden!" Syrus cried at that only to notice Tiger looked thoughtful.
"Come on, we need to save him!" Luke decided running after Jaden.
They all chased after him but after a while they looked around in the forest. They had lost sight of Jinzo, and looked around trying to find him but can't find him. Where could he have gone? He's a big, and tall person, he's hard to miss but they can't see him anywhere.
"Kaizo, see if you can find anything above!" Yuga instructed to Kaizo who nodded a salute flying up above the forest to find anything.
As Kaizo flew up Syrus took a breath only to notice Tiger looking at him.
"Come here." she told him with calm expression on her face.
Syrus confused walked over to her. "Yes, Tiger?"
"You're going to deal with this ghost." she told him simply. "You're getting better and controlling your breathing and staying calm, so show me if you've really learned anything."
"Wha-Me?" Syrus looked surprised from this.
"That's right." She told him. "We've been spending a lot of time working on your confidence like you asked so I need to see it's been worth my time."
Syrus looks nervous before he starts playing the recorder to try calming his breath. She nodded at that. "Good, ok let's go Syrus."
He slowly nodded from it before Kaizo went back down. "I found him! Some sort of large electrical plant nearby is acting up!"
"Lead the way Kaizo." Yuga Ohdo told him with a smile.
Kaizo lead them all while Chumley complains why spirits always go where it is always spookiest. Soon they arrived at the electric plant staring where they see the unconscious Torrey nearby. Although they don't see Jinzo anywhere. But Yuga Goha looked around, he can sense the evil Duel Spirit is here somewhere but they don't see him.
"If he's not here we can help Torrey!" Luke pointed out running towards Torrey.
"Wait you idiot!" Yuga Goha yelled reaching a hand to him.
Suddenly lightning crackled down striking the ground in front of Luke making him yell out stepping back as a evil laughing was heard before a visage started appearing. It was Jinzo in a transparent like form. "None of you are safe!" Luke feels really afraid this experience reminding him of his duel against Toombs who uses Zombie Monsters, and Ghost Stories that scared him to ribbons.
"Oh he is using the electrical plant to give himself a form, and power! He's a clever one!" Banner realized what is going on while seeing this.
"Let Torrey go Jinzo!" Jaden yelled at him.
"We have a deal. He's the last of the humans that we had agreed on, and I will absorb him, and finally be of flesh in this world." Jinzo spoke looking over at Torrey. Then he turns over towards them. "Unless... one of you would like to take his place?" Most of the kids look afraid at someone supernatural in their eyes here while brave ones try to keep themselves together while those afraid like Gavin, Romin, Luke, and Yuga Ohdo tried to get as far back as they can.
"If you need a third sacrifice so much Jinzo then, take..." Jaden started.
"Ta... take me instead, if you can." Syrus mentioned shaking a bit. "But you'll have to... to earn it."
"Syrus?" Jaden hearing this blinked turned over towards him.
Syrus looked a bit nervous but was staring at Jinzo. "You heard me... if you want me... then... then you need to beat me!"
"A duel? Very well, I should be able to keep up this energy current long enough for a match! First, I beat you, then I'll consume you!" Jinzo's voice sounded gleeful from this smirking towards Syrus who gulps from this.
"Hey, Tialina, I know you been training him, and all but you sure he's ready?" Asana whispered to Tiger if Syrus is ready after all she's been training, and teaching onto him as she knows the recorder thing was her doing.
She looked at Syrus. "He is."
"Let's Duel!" Syrus and Jinzo called together.

After setting a card Ectoplasmer's effect activates that Malice Doll limped before it's soul exited out attacking Syrus. The image did scared him alongside Luke, Romin, Gavin, and Yuga Ohdo.
Syrus trembled bracing himself as he tried not to cry out in fear.

"Sy, you okay?" From this being a Shadow Game, Jaden asked him if he's alright.
"I... I think so." Syrus nodded only of this eyes to widen as he looked and saw part of his legs were gone. "Huh, what's happening!?"
"I am simply collecting my end of the deal!" Jinzo answered laughing. "You lose your life points, I get some of your life!"

"Ok, I set two cards facedown, and then I'll summon Stealthroid in Attack Position." Syrus mentioned as a cartoonish looking stealth fighter appeared.

The stealth jet charges in attacking by a punch. Although Jinzo is a spirit he can still feel pain as evident by his screaming. (Jinzo: 2800/Hand: 2)
"That ends my turn... so... I have to sacrifice Stealthroid for Ectoplasmer."
Stealthroid glowed before a spirit exit flying pass Jinzo inflicting more damage onto him. (Jinzo: 2200/Hand: 2)
"Awesome, Sy, you almost took out half of his points at the first turn!"
"Of course on second thought... it might've been smart to play a little defense." Chumley spoke over to Jaden to remind.
"He can't, Ectoplasmer is mandatory." Tiger pointed out.

Syrus widened his eyes as he cried out getting hit.

"And now Malice Doll your turn, Cleaver Heaver!" Malice Doll of Demise threw his axe over at Syrus.
"Not this time, I use the trap Compulsory Evacuation Device!" Syrus called quickly. "I can use it to return Malice Doll back to your hand!" A trap which shows of a pod ejecting a monster rose up.

Syrus widened his eyes as his trap glitched destroyed.
"Then, I have No Entry!" Syrus called quickly.

Malice Doll's axe stopped from him before flying back to Malice Doll who takes it before it, and Spirit Caller knelled down in Defense.

"He had that card but didn't use it before Spirit Caller's attack hit?" Luke was confused wondering why Syrus didn't use that card first thing.
"Probably cause, he wanted to make sure nothing will stop it." Yuga Ohdo guessed what was Syrus' reason for it.
"Either way, the effect of Ectoplasmer sacrifices Malice Doll to deal you damage again where I am halfway to absorbing your life!" Jinzo called as Malice Doll limped again as it's spirit shot towards Syrus.
Syrus gasped and cried out as he was hit again.

"I... I'm still in this duel..."
"Not for long." Syrus' body halfway turns transparent as Jinzo laughed. "Having this duel was an excellent idea! It's better to enjoy things slowly, then to take it all at once!"
"Duels are always meant to have fun, that's why I created Rush Duels." Yuga Ohdo spoke not meaning to agree with Jinzo but he always wanted for duels to be fun but more modern power-crazy people changed the game to where it's more annoying then having fun which is why he made Rush Duels to try reviving the original purpose of duels. "But not when someone's life is on the line though..."
"Syrus remember your training, and recall your breathing." Tiger spoke to him with a stare.

Hearing Tiger Syrus nodded taking a slow breath like she taught him before he drew his card only to smile. "Jinzo, this duel's over."
"What?"
"I activate the spell card I just drew, Vehichroid Connection Zone!" Syrus called as a spell showing of train tracks was shown.

"That's where you're wrong, when Jumbo Drill battles a monster in Defense Position, you still take the damage." Syrus revealed before pointing over. "Attack Spirit Caller!"
Jumbo Drill charges in attacking Spirit Caller while Jinzo not expecting this screamed out. (Jinzo: 0200/Hand: 2)
"Licious, and he still has Ectoplasmer on his field!" Chumley smiled seeing this.
Syrus took another slow breath. "I end my turn, and sacrifice Jumbo Drill for Ectoplasmer."
Jumbo Drill vanished as it's spirit charges in attacking Jinzo who screamed loud as he's enveloped in electricity.

Syrus let out a sigh as his body was restored before a flash of light blinded everyone as Torrey and the others appeared and they were out cold.
"Wicked Sy!" Jaden cheered patting his back. "You really got your game on there!"
"I did ok, but I have a lot more work to do." Syrus admitted as he turned to Tiger. "Right?" Tiger walked over staring at him before then bowing to him as a sign of respect in martial arts. Syrus blushed but returned it. "I'll keep working hard."
"Looks like they are all alright." Professor Banner was checking over Torrey, and his friends seeing they are fine.
"We should get them to the infirmary just to be safe." Bastion suggested.
They nodded moving over to help Torrey, and his friends to head to the infirmary.
"Later today, meet me at the beach." Tiger spoke to Syrus before walking to help them out.
Syrus blushed but nodded while helping Jaden get Torrey to the infirmary.
After a while everyone managed to get them to the infirmary. Nurse Fontaine assured them that with a little rest they will recover fine. So that was taken care of, and Syrus saved some lives. Now he is in his Gi running back where Tiger was waiting for him in her Gi meditating while taking breaths. Reaching the beach he took a slow breath before bowing and sitting like her.
"You've done well." Feeling his presence Tiger spoke to him by saying he done well in that match.
"Thank you, but... I feel like I have a long way to go... I was still terrified during the duel." Syrus confessed.
"You still kept your composure, and took breaths to control yourself." Tiger pointed out that Syrus managed to hold himself together with her teachings.
"Yeah, I did... thanks." Syrus smiled a bit.
"So now for today... we will focus on seeing what strength you have." Tiger rose up that he followed before she raised her hands up. "Try to punch my hands."
Syrus widened his eyes but nodded taking a breath before starting to throw some punches. Tiger feels his strength while he punches. His punch force is... kind of lousy. Well she will fix that. On the next punch she grabs his fist, and pulls him where he yelped on the ground on his back while she places a knee down on his chest to keep him in place while she stares at him. "We will be fixing this lousy strength problem of yours. Under my teachings you WILL learn."
"Ye... yes." Syrus nodded. "I will."
"Start with some push-ups." Tiger instructed pulling away as he moved getting on his hands, and feet to start some push-ups. He can also feel Tiger placing a foot on his back to make sure he does this right. "Go for... 100, without stopping." Syrus groaned but nodded starting to do push-ups slowly but trying to make sure he did them correctly without cheating.
Tiger stares over with crossed arms watching carefully while her foot is on his back watching to make sure he does it right. This is how she had done her own training as a martial artists, and using breathing as a core focus onto it. She didn't had anyone she taught too anywhere else so Syrus is a bit of a learning experience onto it. As soon as she knows that Syrus passed 50 without fail she takes her foot off him. "Now for the true weight." She moved sitting down onto Syrus back crossing her legs for him to continue while she's on him like this. "Come on chop chop!"
Syrus gasped and collapsed before slowly getting up but going slower. "52... 53... 54..."
bopdog111: Poor Syrus. But he's lucky.
Ulrich362: He really is.
bopdog111: While it be a while before it crosses to the love point of their relationship both Tiger, and Syrus are getting along.
Ulrich362: True, they definitely are and they'll be spending a lot of time together.
