"The Zenin clan really missed out."
Naobito looked deeply regretful. Now, with Satoshi and his Zanpakutō system beginning to take shape throughout the world of jujutsu, he had become the beacon of hope for many minor clans.
If Satoshi ever decided to extend the right to forge Zanpakutō beyond his own clan, the Gojo family's dominance in the jujutsu world would become completely unshakable by the Zenin.
Satoshi's ability to repel the domain-level curse user with his Zanpakutō became an unforgettable moment.
At this point, no one was interested in investigating the identity of the curse user. They were all shocked, both by the power of the Gojo clan's Six Eyes and the legendary Zanpakutō's might.
Meanwhile, Zenin Shinsuke and Ogi—now practically labeled as "sinners" of the Zenin were in an awkward position within the clan.
Somehow, word got out that the Zenin had once considered collaborating with Satoshi. Since Shinsuke and Ogi were the ones who rejected that potential alliance, they had effectively crushed the Zenin clan's only real chance of rising again.
Perhaps, due to the status of the two families, the Gojo would never allow the Zenin to wield any powerful Zanpakutō.
But that was only speculation.
No one could assume Satoshi's stance based on something that hadn't yet occurred.
After all, he had personally forged a special dual-blade Zanpakutō for Toji. Who could say he wouldn't do the same again for the Zenin?
Such assumptions meant nothing in the face of reality.
So, the Zenin could only blame Shinsuke and Ogi.
Especially someone like Jinichi, who had been eyeing their positions. He wasn't shy about fueling the fire. As Toji's elder brother, and with his own strength not inferior, Toji's status in the clan had already become quite unique.
Ogi no longer dared to speak recklessly about Satoshi.
Even Shinsuke had completely abandoned the thought of confronting him.
This battle had fully proven Satoshi's strength and more importantly, the power of his Zanpakutō.
If previously, Zanpakutō were just categorized as special-grade Cursed Tools without clear standards...
Now, this battle confirmed it: the true power of a Zanpakutō could rival that of a special-grade sorcerer or even higher.
All the minor clans had gone into a frenzy, flipping over every box and chest just to find anything that might be used as leverage to catch Satoshi's attention. The Kamo Clan
Without Kamo Shin, the great forging master, the influence of the Kamo clan had declined sharply.
There was no successor for the Blood Manipulation Technique, and the number of Grade 1 sorcerers in the entire clan had already been caught up by the Yagyū.
If not for their thousand-year heritage, they would've been expelled from the Big Three long ago.
As the head of the family, Kaname had long harbored suspicions over the sudden death of his uncle, who had always been healthy.
He was convinced it had something to do with the Gojo.
After Satoshi forged a Zanpakutō capable of summoning a pillar of fire, his uncle had returned home in defeat.
A few days later, the old man began arranging his funeral and even transferred authority over the Blacksmith Association directly to the Gojo clan.
What was even more telling was that the Gojo didn't say a word, they simply accepted the power without any objection.
It was clear his uncle had made some kind of deal with them. A deal that cost him his life.
Kaname was wary but dared not investigate.
If his uncle had chosen such a method to resolve things, then this matter would bring monumental consequences for the Kamo clan.
In such a scenario, all he could do was feign ignorance. He couldn't touch it, and he didn't dare to.
Even so, he still envied the younger generation of the Gojo.
Satoshi had forged many Zanpakutō, and had even used one to battle a Domain-level Curse User. Meanwhile, Satoru had once again showcased the overwhelming power of his Limitless Technique.
These two Six Eyes prodigies seemed poised to dominate the future of jujutsu.
How long would the Kamo have to live under the shadow of the Gojo?
Kaname was full of frustration. He knew the Blood Manipulation Technique wasn't inferior to Limitless but when would he finally have a descendant capable of mastering it?
He thought of his overbearing wife and sighed. He didn't even want to go back to his room.
Have a baby.
Give birth to a child who could inherit Blood Manipulation.
This had become Kaname's obsession...Tombs of the Star
"He attacked Satoshi and possessed strength beyond a Grade 1 sorcerer."
A flicker of doubt appeared on Tengen's face. As an immortal entity, she had countless old acquaintances in her long memory.
But something about the sudden appearance of the curse user felt… off.
It must be an old friend.
It seemed Satoshi's Zanpakutō was truly exceptional—exceptional enough to lure such people out.
And this technique that resisted Domains... was it called Bankai? Was Bankai an ability exclusive to Satoshi, or could any forged Zanpakutō access it?
If all Zanpakutō were capable of Bankai, things were about to get very interesting.
A smile curved across Tengen's lips.
"Interesting. Very interesting."
"I wonder if Yuki will be able to deliver my message. I'm already looking forward to meeting this Six Eyes user, who shouldn't even exist."
In her endless life, few things ever captured Tengen's interest.
Satoshi and the Zanpakutō he forged were currently among them. The Yorozuya
Seeing Yuki trailing behind them all the way, both Satoru and Shunichi were baffled.
They'd never seen her before. But since she'd previously appeared with Toji, they assumed the two were acquaintances.
So why had this woman followed them back to the Yorozuya?
Even though she had helped break the barrier earlier, neither Satoru nor Shunichi dared to relax. The Yorozuya was where Satoshi would be recovering. They wouldn't let anyone suspicious get close to him.
Faced with their doubts, Yuki once again revealed her identity.
"A messenger of Lord Tengen?!"
Upon hearing that, Shunichi's attitude shifted immediately. His earlier surprise at Yuki's strength now seemed reasonable.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 139: Taken for Granted?
Being chosen as Tengen's messenger, this Tsukumo Yuki was definitely stronger than him.
Shunichi's initial speculation about Yuki's strength had now been confirmed.
"Are you the Star Plasma Vessel beside Lord Tengen?"
As a Grade 1 sorcerer of the Gojo clan, Shunichi had access to a considerable amount of intelligence. The moment he heard the surname Tsukumo, he had already associated her with the Tsukumo family from Kyoto.
Now that she had openly identified herself as Tengen's messenger, he immediately matched her identity with the intelligence he had collected before.
A member of the Tsukumo family, and a messenger of Tengen. There was no doubt, this woman was the current generation's Star Plasma Vessel.
Star Plasma Vessel?
Hearing the term, Satoru and Toji instinctively turned toward Yuki.
Toji was clearly surprised, while Satoru looked more curious. He had only heard rumors of Tengen's significance in the jujutsu world, but knew little about the details of the Star Plasma Vessel.
Sensing Satoru's curiosity, Yuki didn't mind explaining and casually clarified the relationship between Tengen and the Star Plasma Vessel.
"The so-called Star Plasma Vessel is a human chosen to assimilate with Lord Tengen.
When Lord Tengen, possessing "Immortality," reaches a certain age, he begins evolving into a non-human form.
Therefore, once every 500 years, he must assimilate with a Star Plasma Vessel to reset his physical memory."
Yuki spoke of it with ease, but both Shunichi and Toji fell silent, while Satoru was left pondering.
"So, will you have to merge with Lord Tengen in the future?"
"From that point onward, won't you become Lord Tengen?"
Satoru's unique interpretation made Yuki laugh.
Although Satoshi and Satoru looked identical, Yuki found herself far less interested in Satoru compared to Satoshi.
"Lord Tengen will still be Lord Tengen. But I, too, will become one with him."
Satoru then realized, if the girl in front of him merged with Tengen, would she still retain her consciousness?
He wanted to ask, but Shunichi stopped him with a subtle shake of the head.
"I wonder, what exactly is Miss Tsukumo's relationship with Young Master Satoshi?"
Shunichi took the initiative to ask. Even though Yuki had played a crucial role in breaking the barrier earlier, he still needed to confirm her true intentions.
Even if she was Tengen's Star Plasma Vessel, he couldn't risk another assassination attempt on Satoshi.
"I'm Satoshi's girlfriend."
"Besides, I already have my own room in the Yorozuya."
Yuki spoke plainly. The shock on both Satoru and Shunichi's faces was immediate.
How was that even possible?
Satoshi had only emerged from seclusion two weeks ago, and before that, he had been solely focused on forging Zanpakutō. Where would he have found time to meet Yuki, much less start a relationship?
But then again, if there was nothing between them, why would Yuki go to such lengths for him?
"When did you and Young Master Satoshi meet?"
Shunichi voiced the question that had also crossed Satoru's mind. He knew today was Satoshi's first time stepping out in a long while. Could it be that they had only just met?
Yuki answered directly.
"We met today. Right here."
Satoru and Shunichi exchanged a helpless look, then turned their attention to Toji.
They both felt that this didn't match Satoshi's style. Although Yuki was undeniably beautiful, it was hard to imagine someone like Satoshi falling in love at first sight.
Noticing how familiar they seemed with Toji, Yuki shifted her attention to him.
"Which room should I stay in? Next to his?"
Realizing her intent, Toji narrowed his eyes slightly but made no move to expose her.
He could tell that Yuki genuinely liked Satoshi.
More importantly, Satoshi's situation still hadn't stabilized. If Yuki remained at the Yorozuya, it would at least provide an additional layer of protection.
Although both Shunichi and Satoru were here, Yuki's current strength surpassed theirs.
"Stay in the room next to Satoshi. That way, it'll be easier for you to look after him."
When Shunichi and Satoru saw Toji's response, their expressions froze slightly. For now, it seemed they had accepted Yuki's claim.
Even Yuki was surprised by how cooperative Toji was.
She had expected him to expose her or at least stay silent. What she didn't expect was for him to not only go along with her but even arrange her room next to Satoshi's.
She didn't know what Toji was thinking, but it was obvious he didn't object to her being close to Satoshi.
"Alright then. Since you're Satoshi's girlfriend, you might need to put in some extra effort for a while."
As Satoru finished speaking, the people who had just entered froze.
Girlfriend?
Ieiri Inamichi, Gojo Genichi, and Ieiri Shoko, who was holding her father's hand, all stared at Satoru and the girl he was speaking to—Yuki—in disbelief.
None of them recognized her.
What's going on? Satoshi already has a girlfriend? Isn't he only six? And the girl in front of us looks like she's at least in high school… That's got to be a six or seven-year age gap.
Genichi was filled with confusion.
Still, he said nothing. After all, he had witnessed Yuki's power firsthand.
Since Satoru had acknowledged her, he had no place to question it. Despite being the grandson of the current acting clan head, his status here was the lowest.
Unlike Genichi's calm, Inamichi's feelings were far more complicated.
Even though he had never formally agreed to the Gojo family's proposal, he had always considered Satoshi as his son-in-law. Otherwise, he wouldn't have encouraged Shoko to visit the Gojo clan so frequently.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 140: Star Plasma Girlfriend?
But now it just seems wrong. How could a teenage girl be the girlfriend of a six-year-old boy?
The girl in front of him definitely had some ulterior motive.
In an instant, Inamichi pictured countless beauty traps that other sorcerer families might have devised to get their hands on a Zanpakutō.
At the same time, he silently cursed these sorcerer families for being utterly shameless, actually sending a girl to seduce Satoshi.
Satoshi was still just a child!
Although, this girl was indeed breathtaking. Her looks were truly extraordinary...
Inamichi sighed inwardly, then looked down at his daughter holding his hand.
Well, Shoko was also very pretty.
But unfortunately, she was only six. Her appearance leaned more toward cute than beautiful.
Moreover, it didn't seem like Shoko had any awareness of danger at all.
Is six really the age when love starts? Probably not.
Love usually begins around thirteen or fourteen…
Shoko looked curiously at the girl whom Satoru had introduced as Satoshi's girlfriend.
Just as Inamichi expected, at her age, Shoko had no concept of romance.
After all, she was only six.
No matter how precocious a girl might be, she wouldn't be thinking about relationships at that age.
However, seeing Yuki's slightly more mature figure, Shoko did feel a little envious.Seeing that Satoru seemed like he wanted to talk to Yuki, Inamichi quickly interrupted him.
"Where is Satoshi? Shoko and I will go check on him."
No matter what, he still had to fight for his daughter.
Shoko might not have fallen for anyone yet, but that didn't mean she wouldn't regret it later, right?
Once she's seen someone as outstanding as Satoru or Satoshi, it'd be hard for her to look up to any other boy.
As a father, he had to leave a shred of hope for his daughter...
Inamichi's sudden appearance successfully drew Satoru's attention away.
"Master Inamichi, here, please help check on Satoshi thoroughly."
"After using his Zanpakutō's Bankai, he fell into a deep sleep. We still don't know what's going on."
Led by Satoru, Inamichi and Shoko entered Satoshi's room.
Meanwhile, Genichi quietly made his way over to Shunichi. As the acting grandson, he naturally needed to learn as much as he could about anyone involved with Satoru and Satoshi. That way, he could report everything to his grandfather later.
"Uncle Shunichi, what's the story behind that girl? Just now, Young Master Satoru mentioned she's Young Master Satoshi's girlfriend?"
Genichi asked in a hushed voice.
Shunichi nodded calmly. Now that Kumaen had changed his stance, Shunichi no longer felt the same hostility toward him as before.
He also told Genichi everything he knew about Yuki's background without reservation.
"What? She's actually a Star Plasma Vessel? And she's Lord Tengen's envoy?"
As a traditional sorcerer, Genichi held deep respect for Tengen. Lord Tengen was the guardian deity of the sorcery world, the one who protected all sorcerers...
And yet, Yuki, Tengen's envoy, had actually become Satoshi's girlfriend?
This was something his grandfather absolutely had to know.
Seeing Genichi hastily take his leave, a faint smile appeared on Shunichi's face.
Back when Toji had spoken to Yuki, he already sensed something was unusual.
However, there was no doubting Yuki's identity as a Star Plasma Vessel. That made her a perfect tool to suppress the more restless elements within the Gojo clan.
Even though Kumaen had changed sides, there were still diehards in the Twin Curse Faction lingering within the clan.
To the traditionalists, Lord Tengen was the most revered figure.
Now, this very same traditional figure had openly expressed his regard for Satoshi. That alone would shake the confidence of the entire faction.
So regardless of whether Yuki and Satoshi really had that kind of relationship, Shunichi didn't care.
Since Yuki herself had admitted it and made her position clear, then he and Toji might as well go along with it and push things forward. That would only benefit Satoshi.
At that moment, Satoshi—still lying unconscious—had no idea that, thanks to Toji and Shunichi, his so-called girlfriend was already locked in place. After Genichi relayed the details about the Star Plasma Vessel and her connection to Lord Tengen, Kumaen was visibly surprised.
He hadn't expected such a mysterious identity behind that strange girl.
Even though the Kujuku family wasn't as powerful as the Gojo clan in the sorcery world, they were still a well-known family in Kyoto. How had a girl like that ended up as Satoshi's girlfriend?
Satoshi really did keep surprising people…
Actually, the Tsukumo family wasn't the main point. What mattered was Yuki's relationship with Tengen.
If Satoshi could build a connection to Tengen through Yuki, it would be a massive boost to his future.
"Alright. Got it."
Kumaen nodded thoughtfully.
Next, it all depended on how he would use this information to make those diehards quietly back off.
The Gojo clan, the Tsukumo family, and Tengen…
If these three forces came together, then even if the entire sorcery world joined forces against them, they wouldn't be able to stand a chance, right?
That wild thought briefly crossed Kumaen's mind before he quickly shook it off.
Tengen was the most enigmatic sorcerer. Who knew what he was really thinking? As a mere sorcerer himself, Kumaen didn't dare to guess.
Still, based on Yuki's current attitude toward Satoshi, Tengen's impression of the boy was likely positive.
That thought brought a fresh wave of worry to Kumaen.
The importance of the Star Plasma Vessel to Tengen couldn't be overstated. If Yuki really was a Star Plasma Vessel, then she would eventually need to merge with Tengen...
In that case, what would Satoshi do?
Would he be willing to accept it when that day came?
In Kumaen's eyes, Satoshi wasn't someone who would bow to authority so easily.
From the moment he was born, this boy had been defying worldly rules.
Heavenly Restriction and Zanpakutō.
These were the weapons Satoshi wielded to challenge and shatter the system.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 141: Concerns of the Yagyū Family and the Zenin Family
Zenin household.
Zenin Naobito, who had yet to recover from the shock of Satoshi's zanpakutō's bankai, was stunned again upon hearing the truth about Yuki's identity as a Star Plasma Vessel and envoy of Tengen.
He never expected that the Tombs of the Star had been involved in the attack on Satoshi.
That mysterious girl turned out to be the current generation's Star Plasma Vessel.
And rumors even suggested she had a special relationship with Gojo Satoshi. This made Naobito's expression grow even darker.
Originally, just with Satoshi's Zanpakutō alone, the Gojo clan had become unmatched in the world of Jujutsu.
Now, if the Gojo clan also forged ties with Tengen, wouldn't that make them even more terrifying?
"What's the girl's name?"
Naobito stared sharply at the intelligence officer in front of him.
"Master Naobito, the girl's name is Tsukumo Yuki."
The intelligence officer lowered his head and answered.
That name made Naobito frown. If it were just a normal sorcerer, perhaps it wouldn't have been a problem.
But Tsukumo…
While the name wasn't particularly renowned in Tokyo, he was well aware of the Tsukumo family's roots in Kyoto.
If the Gojo clan and the Tsukumo family formed an alliance, then Tokyo and Kyoto, the two largest sorcerer strongholds would fall completely under the Gojo clan's control.
Is the Zenin family really going to decline like this?
Naobito furrowed his brow deeply. At this moment, he could no longer see any possibility of the Zenin clan standing on equal footing with the Gojo clan.
He was unwilling to accept this.
As the acting head of the Zenin family, he had decision-making power over the entire clan. He absolutely could not allow the Zenin family to fall into the same decline as the Kamo clan.
If the Zenin family truly crumbled under his leadership, he would go down in history as the one who ruined the clan.
A sharp gleam flashed in Naobito's eyes.
I've been too soft. Since the clan head entrusted me with power, I should've enforced the law with an iron hand.
Thinking about how Ogi always defied him, and Shinsuke, the Zenin family's prodigy who had long since lost his edge, Naobito made up his mind.
If the Zenin family was to rise again, it would have to rely on Toji—the so-called outcast with no cursed energy—whom the entire clan viewed as heretical.
Unknowingly, Toji had already built a close friendship with Satoshi, and even earned the Gojo clan's recognition.
If Toji could return to the Zenin family successfully, then the clan's future wouldn't be completely crushed beneath the Gojo clan's influence.
Naobito had made his decision.
He must bring Toji back to the Zenin clan.
The current Zenin family had become too rigid and corrupt. As its helmsman, he could not allow the ship to sink under his watch.
Even if that meant appointing a controversial figure like Toji as the next head, it was a risk he had to take. The Yagyū household.
Yagyū Yusuke looked at Saemon and Hidetsugu, who had rushed back in a hurry, with a confused expression.
The Yagyū family had limited information sources. Up until now, he still didn't know what had happened to Gojo Satoshi.
He had no idea that Satoshi had completed his Bankai. He didn't know that Satoshi had been attacked. He didn't know that Satoshi had ties to the Hongxing Palace.
"What happened? Why were you in such a rush?"
In response to Yusuke's question, Saemon and Hidetsugu exchanged a bitter smile.
Although the two had taken part in the operation to rescue Satoshi, in truth, aside from Saemon briefly releasing his Zanpakutō, Nejibana, and attacking Kenjaku's barrier, Hidetsugu hadn't even had the chance to fight.
The entire time, they were more like spectators.
They watched Toji's physical strength dominate, witnessed the transformation of Senbonzakura in Satoru's hands, were overwhelmed by Yuki's terrifying Cursed Technique, and saw the vast number of sorcerers assembled by the Gojo clan.
But most importantly, they witnessed Satoshi's Bankai—how he used Sode no Shirayuki's Bankai to force back a Domain user.
"What? A curse user? And he had a Domain?"
Yusuke's expression changed drastically upon hearing this.
"Is Young Master Satoshi alright?"
Yagyū Yusuke asked urgently. He could ignore everything else, but not Satoshi, who was deeply tied to the Yagyū family.
Saemon and Hidetsugu both nodded.
"In the end, Young Master Satoshi used the power of his Zanpakutō's Bankai to repel the attackers."
Hidetsugu explained.
"You mean Satoshi repelled a Domain user himself?"
Even though Yusuke's own power was weak, he understood the Jujutsu world's power structure very clearly.
In this era, the number of sorcerers capable of Domain Expansion could be counted on one hand.
Yet Satoshi had managed to push back a Domain user with just his Bankai?
At first, Yusuke thought it was just a fantasy.
How could something like that be possible?
But Saemon and Hidetsugu had witnessed the whole thing with their own eyes.
"Yes."
Saemon's heart was still pounding with excitement. He placed Nejibana on the table and gently caressed its hilt.
"The power of Bankai is beyond comprehension. And Young Master Satoshi told us that every Zanpakutō has the potential to awaken a Bankai. Whether it can be achieved depends on whether the wielder can make their Zanpakutō submit."
Nejibana had already brought him many surprises. Now, hearing that it still held more hidden potential, Saemon was eager to dig deeper.
If Nejibana could achieve Bankai, could he fight on equal footing with a Domain user?
As a sorcerer with no aptitude for Cursed Energy, all he had were his Zanjutsu and the Zanpakutō in his hand.
If it were before, he wouldn't have stood a chance against a Domain sorcerer. He could only surrender.
But now that he had seen the power of Bankai, he had a new idea.
He wanted to become someone who could stand up to Domain users using just Bankai.
After hearing the full story from the two, Yusuke's expression turned grim.
"You two should keep a low profile for the time being."
"The Yagyū family has drawn a lot of attention this time. The other sorcerer families are bound to be jealous."
"So stay home unless absolutely necessary."
Yusuke didn't want to invite any trouble. He was deeply concerned that the curse user's real target was Satoshi's Zanpakutō.
And if they failed to get what they wanted from Satoshi…
Would they turn to the Yagyū family next?
(To be continued.)
Chapter 142: Curse Users Gathering
"Satoshi's body is currently suffering from severe frostbite, but his recovery rate is fairly quick. He should regain consciousness once the frostbite has fully healed."
After exiting the room, Inamichi was still in shock over Satoshi's physical condition.
He couldn't imagine how someone could survive after suffering frostbite from such an extreme temperature.
That was a body exposed to absolute zero.
How could an ordinary person endure such a thing?
Without needing anyone to explain further, Inamichi had already concluded that the changes in Satoshi's body were due to the Zanpakutō, Sode no Shirayuki.
As expected of a Zanpakutō capable of repelling a Domain user. But using such a technique must come at a terrible cost.
Fortunately, Satoshi's body was strong enough to sustain self-repair even under this degree of frostbite. If it had been anyone else, even their consciousness would likely have been frozen by that absolute zero.
After hearing Inamichi's diagnosis, both Toji and Satoru breathed a sigh of relief.
After all, Inamichi was an authority in Reverse Cursed Technique. With his assurance, they no longer had to worry about Satoshi's life being in danger.
"Master Inamichi, would you consider staying here at the Yorozuya for the night? Satoshi's body temperature is still fluctuating wildly. We're worried something could happen again."
Shunichi, who had accompanied Inamichi during the check-up, suggested sincerely.
Though Inamichi was the head of his family and held a high position, Shunichi set formality aside for Satoshi's sake.
Shunichi's words took Inamichi by surprise, but a glint of thought quickly flashed through his eyes.
"Ahem, Master Shunichi, Satoshi's condition has stabilized. There's no need to worry. Even if I stay, I can't accelerate the healing of his frostbite right now."
"But, if you're really concerned, I can have Shoko stay instead."
If Shoko stayed, it would be like gaining the upper hand through proximity.
Shoko's proficiency in Reverse Cursed Technique wasn't inferior to his own. This could be considered the final card he played for his daughter's future.
Both Shunichi and Satoru accepted Inamichi's proposal. Though Shoko was still young, she had already mastered the Reverse Cursed Technique to a remarkable degree. Based on Inamichi's evaluation, she was more than capable of handling the situation.
In the end, Inamichi successfully arranged for Shoko to stay. Just yesterday, only Toji had been living at the Yorozuya, but today, it had become a full house.
Toji, Satoru, Shunichi, Yuki, Shoko, and Satoshi.
Looking at the sudden flood of uninvited guests, Toji felt helpless. Thankfully, there were enough guest rooms on the second floor to accommodate them all.
In the end, Toji assigned one of the rooms next to Satoshi to Yuki, so she could keep watch over him. The other adjacent room was given to Shoko, since she was now the assigned doctor.
As for the rest of the rooms, Toji didn't care much.
However, he still left the well-lit room Satoshi had previously requested to Satoru. After all, Satoru was a shareholder in the Yorozuya, and deserved proper treatment. After the attack on Satoshi became public, the Gojo clan's forces went into full operation.
Numerous dormant curse user organizations were suddenly ambushed by the Jujutsu Society and swiftly eliminated. It caught everyone off guard.
Like a wildfire breaking out at the city gates, even uninvolved curse users were swept up in the chaos. These small organizations hadn't even had a chance to make a move before being wiped out.
As if trying to curry favor with the Gojo clan, many other sorcerer families also mobilized, deploying their clansmen to hunt down curse users.
For a while, the entire curse user community was in turmoil, terrified they'd be captured in their sleep by mysterious groups of jujutsu sorcerers.High-level meeting of curse users.
Akazawa Shusaku hadn't expected Kaori to act so recklessly, choosing to launch a direct assault on Gojo Satoshi.
Worse yet, she failed. A Domain user unable to eliminate Satoshi? It was a disgrace.
Wearing his monk's robes, Akazawa Shusaku began discussing with the other executives how to hold Kaori accountable for the recent losses suffered by the curse user side.
The entire leadership quickly reached a consensus. Itadori Kaori needed to be reined in before her actions brought disaster on all of them.
If things continued this way, the Jujutsu Society might soon launch investigations and execute them all as criminals.
The high-ranking curse users present grew impatient as they waited for Kaori's arrival.
After being ten minutes late, Kaori finally strolled in, looking completely unfazed. She was still her usual self—elegant and calm.
With a faint smile on her face, she showed no signs of being affected by her failure to steal Ryūjin Jakka.
"Another meeting so soon? I thought you were all so cautious before. Not worried about being found by the Jujutsu Society?"
Kaori casually dragged out a chair and sat down.
A full day had passed since her assault on Satoshi. While the entire curse user world was in a panic, she remained untouched by the chaos.
Of course, she already knew why Akazawa Shusaku had called this meeting.
She had shown up simply to see what kind of entertainment these so-called leaders would provide her.
To her surprise, the moment she sat down, Akazawa Shusaku confronted her directly, demanding to know why she had attacked Gojo Satoshi.
"Wasn't that your decision from the last meeting?"
"You said Zanpakutō could become a threat to the future of curse users. So why is it wrong for me to eliminate the problem at the root?"
Kaori glanced at Akazawa Shusaku and the other high-ranking curse users. The corners of her mouth curled upward.
Akazawa Shusaku's expression stiffened. They had indeed discussed Zanpakutō in the last meeting, but he never expected Kaori would take it so far as to attack the Six Eyes heir of the Gojo clan.
Who in their right mind would do that?
Attacking someone with the Six Eyes was the same as declaring war on the Gojo clan. If they were in the Gojo clan's shoes, they would've immediately started a purge.
"Itadori Kaori, no one gave you permission to attack Gojo Satoshi!"
Akazawa Shusaku shouted furiously at her. As one of the leaders of the curse users, he had nearly forgotten just how dangerous this woman truly was.
(To be continued.)
A trace of impatience appeared on Kaori's face.
Too boring.
The drama she had anticipated turned into nothing more than tedious accusations. This kind of empty, backhanded finger-pointing didn't interest her in the slightest.
But seeing the other attendees echoing Akazawa Shusaku's stance, she immediately understood the real purpose of the meeting.
They wanted to use her as a scapegoat. Offer her up to appease the Gojo clan's anger?
Kaori touched the stitches on her forehead and once again felt the deep inferiority of human nature.
Is there something wrong with these people?
Had these so-called high-ranking curse users forgotten why they were able to sit at this table?
It was all because of her. Her strength. Her cleansing. Without her, none of them would be here discussing the future of the curse user faction.
And now these insects wanted her to be sacrificed?
Are they completely insane?
Kenjaku, controlling Kaori's body, lifted a cup of tea and took a slow sip.
"I understand your demands."
"Let me guess. Someone from the Gojo clan contacted you?"
Kaori narrowed her eyes and swept her gaze across the table. Everyone she looked at instinctively averted their eyes. Even Akazawa Shusaku did the same. Guilt filled every expression.
Truly disgusting. Curse users are still human, and humans never change their nature.
That's why, in the end, cursed spirits were more trustworthy than people.
Kaori spoke to herself. The others couldn't hear her muttering, but her final sentence made Akazawa completely freeze.
"You're all garbage. Die where you sit."
"Domain Expansion—Womb Profusion."
Her domain activated. Energy surged and wrapped around the entire meeting hall. The curse users who thought they could overpower her together never even had a chance.
One by one, they were crushed under the pressure of her domain.
"I really don't know who gave you the courage."
Kaori shook her head and turned to leave. These fools had just wasted hours of her time.
She still needed to go home and cook for her father-in-law and care for her husband. At the scene of the curse user meeting, a group of uniformed officers had surrounded the area with caution tape.
Shunichi and Tsubaki arrived as representatives of the Gojo clan.
"This is undoubtedly the same domain as before. Everyone here was killed by that woman."
Every curse user under investigation by the Gojo clan had been killed by the short-haired woman. The sight left both Shunichi and Tsubaki stunned.
Though these curse users weren't top-tier, they still held strength comparable to Grade 1 sorcerers.
Yet all of them had been annihilated by one person. Judging by the state of the corpses, they didn't even have the chance to fight back.
Tsubaki's face was grim. "As expected of someone who can wield Domain Expansion. Even outnumbered, she's still unstoppable."
Because of his previous mission, Tsubaki hadn't participated in Satoshi's rescue. He hadn't felt Kaori's overwhelming presence firsthand.
But now, seeing the remains of these curse users—each as powerful as himself—he finally understood why Satoshi hadn't returned to the Gojo estate after the attack. Even the Gojo clan might not be enough to withstand such an enemy.
At present, among the Big Three Sorcerer Families, perhaps only Toji, with his overwhelmingly strong physique, could serve as Satoshi's shield.
And above all, what shocked him the most was that Satoshi had managed to face this Domain user at the age of six.
He knew full well that Satoshi didn't rely on brute strength, swordsmanship, or physical combat.
Satoshi's only weapon… was the Zanpakutō he had forged himself.
Zanpakutō. Bankai.
These two words had become the most talked-about terms in the jujutsu world. Right now, they represented overwhelming potential and unparalleled power.
Zanpakutō were already rare. But Gojo Satoshi was the only one who had fully achieved Bankai. Even so, the major families still tried every means to reach out to him.
Even curse users were desperate to seize the Zanpakutō forged by Satoshi.
"We must report to the head immediately. We cannot allow this Domain-level sorcerer to continue running loose."
Until now, they believed that stories of betrayal and mass slaughter only existed in fiction. But this time, it had happened right before their eyes.
"The curse user faction needs to be purged."
Shunichi's tone was icy. Since this person dared to act so brazenly, then let the entire curse user camp suffer the consequences.
The Gojo clan might not be able to eliminate a Domain-level sorcerer just yet, but clearing out dozens of regular curse users wouldn't be a problem.
Kaori didn't realize that her reckless actions would trigger a nationwide crackdown on curse users across Japan.
The true heir of Six Eyes had yet to grow up, and curse users had still hoped for a little more time.
But thanks to Kaori's actions, they were now on the verge of extinction.Inside the Yorozuya.
After two full days in a coma, Satoshi finally opened his eyes.
Thanks to his high regenerative ability and his adaptation to Sode no Shirayuki, aside from a bit of dizziness, everything else felt normal.
Looking at the two girls on either side of him, Satoshi blinked in confusion. Shoko's presence didn't surprise him—but why was Yuki also here?
"You're awake!"
Yuki, who had been most attentive, immediately noticed the change. The moment Satoshi opened his eyes, she lit up with surprise.
Shoko quickly stepped over and began checking Satoshi's condition.
Once she confirmed there were no abnormalities, she quietly turned and left to inform Satoru, Toji, and the others. She had no intention of lingering or showing off in front of Satoshi.
"…Why are you here?"
Satoshi had no idea what Yuki had done during the barrier incident, nor did he understand why she was in his room now...
(To be continued.)
Chapter 144: I Get a Headache When I Think of Tengen
"I'm your girlfriend. I stayed by your side when you were injured and unconscious. Isn't that what I'm supposed to do?"
Yuki's face was full of smiles, and her tone still carried the same casual charm as before.
Satoshi immediately felt a headache coming on. Hadn't he already won the bet before and made her promise not to bring this up again?
No matter how you looked at it, Yuki really shouldn't be staying at the Yorozuya.
"Satoshi, you're awake!"
The sudden appearance of Satoru interrupted Satoshi's thoughts before he could press the issue further.
"Satoru, you're out?"
At the final stage of Sode no Shirayuki's Bankai, although he had remained conscious on the surface, in truth he had been fighting purely on instinct.
He didn't even know whose arms he had collapsed into or who had arrived to support him at the scene. He had no memory of what had happened afterward.
Now, seeing that Satoru had emerged from his retreat, a twinge of guilt stirred within him. Satoru was supposed to be focused on mastering Blue right now.
Did the emergency message he'd sent through his Zanpakutō interrupt Satoru's training?
Satoru sensed Satoshi's emotional fluctuations. As twins, their bond allowed him to understand Satoshi's thoughts with ease.
He smiled and said softly, "I've already mastered the basics of the technique. Once you've recovered, I can teach you some of the theory behind it. Wasn't that what you wanted to learn?"
Satoshi's eyes lit up with surprise. He hadn't expected Satoru to master it so quickly. Then again, it made perfect sense. Satoru was the most gifted sorcerer of this era. He couldn't be measured by ordinary standards.
So, this was the key to learning Shunpo?
A moment later, Shunichi and Toji also entered the room. Yuki tactfully stood up and returned to her own room.
"Toji, what's going on with this Yuki? Why is she staying at the Yorozuya?"
As soon as Yuki left, Satoshi voiced the question that had been bothering him.
Hearing that, Shunichi and Satoru both froze slightly. Something didn't feel right.
Judging from Satoshi's tone, the relationship between him and Yuki didn't seem as close as they'd been led to believe.
But previously, Yuki had clearly claimed to be Satoshi's girlfriend—and Toji had confirmed it as well.
The two of them turned toward Toji, waiting for his explanation.
"Yuki is Lord Tengen's envoy."
"She's the Star Plasma Vessel."
"She's powerful. Stronger than both of you right now."
Toji laid down three simple facts, then said nothing more.
"Okay, but why did you just go along with her saying she's Satoshi's girlfriend? Satoru narrowed his eyes, and Satoshi's body visibly stiffened at the reminder."
Toji frowned. "We didn't know where the curse user who attacked Satoshi came from, nor whether they would return. In that situation, why wouldn't we let someone like Yuki stay to protect him?"
A hint of irritation flashed across Toji's face.
"Besides, I never said Yuki was Satoshi's girlfriend. You're the ones who jumped to that conclusion."
"You went along with it!" Satoru shot back, displeased as he recalled the earlier exchange.
Toji rolled his eyes. "If I was weaker than her, there'd be no point in playing along. I'm not arrogant enough to think I'm the strongest. From a protection standpoint, having one more person on our side can only help."
Satoshi let out a silent sigh. He hadn't expected Yuki to have such a background.
He had known Yuki's identity from the original story, but he hadn't imagined she'd show up here, as Tengen's personal envoy.
If that was the case, then Toji had good reason to let her stay.
But the problem wasn't her identity. It was Yuki's attitude.
He could only hope this "girlfriend" label hadn't spread beyond the Yorozuya…
But the moment that hope surfaced, Satoru's next words shattered it completely.
"Actually, because of all the confusion you two caused, the entire Tokyo jujutsu community now thinks you and Yuki are an item."
"Even the Tsukumo clan of Kyoto has sent formal greetings to the Gojo clan."
Toji crossed his arms, his expression flat. "Gossip doesn't matter. Safety comes first. And wasn't it the Gojo clan themselves who took the lead in spreading it?"
Satoru fell silent. It was true. Without their clan fanning the flames, the rumor wouldn't have spread like wildfire through Tokyo's jujutsu world.
From a public standpoint, Satoshi and Yuki were a good match. The only jarring factor was their age difference.
Seeing Satoru speechless, Satoshi realized things had spiraled out of his control.
He'd only been unconscious for a couple of days, and somehow Yuki had become his "girlfriend" and the entire jujutsu world believed it.
He didn't dislike Yuki, but he definitely felt like he'd been railroaded into something he hadn't agreed to.
Is this what she was aiming for?
But... would a girl really go that far?
Does she truly have feelings for me?
Satoshi felt he needed to have a proper conversation with Yuki.
And as Tengen's envoy, he still didn't know what her mission was, or what Tengen's intentions were for involving her with him.
Even as a reincarnator, Satoshi couldn't disregard the role Tengen had played in shaping the modern sorcery world.
Without Tengen, the balance that currently existed in the jujutsu world might never have formed.
But the very thought of meeting Tengen made Satoshi uncomfortable.
That strange figure with a square head and multiple eyes… was hard to stomach.
If he really had to meet Tengen face to face, he would need to mentally prepare himself first.
"Satoshi, you just woke up. Get some rest."
Seeing that he was clearly agitated, Satoru and the others chose to leave and give him some space.
"Toji, can you call Yuki for me? I have something to ask her."
A glint of amusement appeared in Toji's eyes as he nodded. He was curious to see what would unfold between Yuki and Satoshi.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 145: Can't Star Plasma Vessels Fall in Love?
While waiting for Yuki, Satoshi was deep in thought about his future plans.
This recent ambush by Kenjaku had been dangerously close.
Because Kenjaku hadn't targeted young Satoru in the original timeline, Satoshi had never taken him seriously. But after this encounter, he realized he could no longer afford to be so careless.
Kenjaku's goal had been crystal clear—his Zanpakutō.
Since gaining recognition for creating Zanpakutō, it was inevitable he would draw attention. It was only natural for someone like Kenjaku to covet such a power.
He had to admit, Kenjaku's taste was impeccable. The moment he laid eyes on Ryūjin Jakka, he wanted it for himself.
If not for the system's restriction on transferring ownership, once Ryūjin Jakka fell into Kenjaku's hands, that old bastard would basically become invincible.
Satoshi could only be thankful he survived. Had he failed, not only would he be unable to change Satoru's fate, he would have died before doing anything significant.
Fortunately, Sode no Shirayuki's Bankai awakened at the critical moment. Its full release proved incredibly powerful. If Kenjaku were to attack again, as long as he held some trump cards in reserve, Sode no Shirayuki might just be able to handle him.
Currently, the only one in the jujutsu world who could rival Sode no Shirayuki might be Toji, whose physical prowess was at its peak.
Satoru had already mastered Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, and Satoshi was confident he could make rapid progress in Shunpo next.
This time, he was determined to master Shunpo. The art of instantaneous movement was always useful. If you couldn't win, then the next best thing was to escape quickly.
He had only been caught this time because of his poor mastery of Hohō.
If he had been more proficient, he would have fled the moment something felt off.
This battle against Kenjaku made Satoshi painfully aware of his current shortcomings.
There was no such thing as a truly omnipotent fighter in the world. Still, he had the system, and he had mastered Zanjutsu, Hakuda, and Kidō.
So why not become as all-rounded as possible?
Thinking of Itadori Kaori, whose body was now under Kenjaku's control, Satoshi's eyes narrowed slightly.
Since Kenjaku dared to attack him, he had no choice but to respond in kind. Otherwise, it would make him seem like someone easily manipulated.
Now that Kenjaku was using Itadori Kaori's body, he was most likely living with her family.
While Satoshi didn't know the exact location, he remembered Itadori Yuji would eventually study in Sendai. That likely meant the Itadori family resided there.
Kenjaku, if you won't let me live in peace, then don't expect a quiet life for yourself either.
Although he couldn't defeat Kenjaku just yet, after this attack, he wouldn't let Kenjaku or his host family off easy.
He might even interfere with the birth of Itadori Yuji. Let's see how Kenjaku's grand plans go without a proper vessel.
A cold gleam flashed in Satoshi's eyes. He hadn't retaliated yet, and already Kenjaku had made a move. This clearly showed their current level of strength wasn't enough to be a deterrent.
In the future, he, Satoru, and Toji all needed to continue growing stronger.
Letting others attack you whenever they please… that was just pathetic.
I need to raise my compatibility with Ryūjin Jakka as fast as possible. I have to unlock its Bankai soon.
While Satoshi was thinking, Yuki stepped into the room.
Seeing this tall, stunning woman, Satoshi felt a bit helpless. Still, there was an inexplicable sense of pride in being associated with someone so beautiful.
But he needed to understand Yuki's intentions and what Tengen had sent her here to do.
"Sit down."
Satoshi adjusted his posture and motioned for Yuki to take a seat.
Yuki smiled and sat down quietly, unusually well-behaved. It was almost like the person who had boldly called herself his girlfriend before was someone else entirely.
"Miss Yuki, I'm now your so-called 'boyfriend' in name only. Tell me, what did Lord Tengen send you here for? Surely it wasn't just to fall in love with me?"
Yuki cleared her throat, about to answer, but Satoshi's next words cut her off.
"Do Star Plasma Vessels even have the freedom to fall in love?"
Satoshi spoke calmly. His face showed no emotion, and his tone remained level.
Yuki had known Satoshi was mature for his age, but now faced with his composed demeanor, she found herself unsure how to respond.
Was this what he truly meant?
Even she didn't know how to answer him.
"Even if I'm the Star Plasma Vessel, shouldn't I still have the right to fall in love?"
She mumbled quietly, unsure of herself.
"Oh? When you finally assimilate with Lord Tengen, will it be you or Lord Tengen who's in love with me?"
Satoshi gave her a sidelong glance. He wanted to know if she truly understood what the process of assimilation meant.
The way Yuki's expression darkened told him everything he needed to know. She understood.
"Since you already know the outcome, then isn't it a little inappropriate to go around calling yourself my girlfriend?"
Though Satoshi's words were calm, they carried a chill. Yuki's emotions wavered under his steady gaze.
She was the Star Plasma Vessel, yes. But she also had her own thoughts and emotions.
She was an individual, not someone born solely to be absorbed by Tengen.
Tengen had indeed sacrificed greatly for jujutsu society, but why did it always have to be her who made the ultimate sacrifice?
At the end of the day, she was still just a teenage girl. Her body might seem mature, but her heart wasn't ready for such burdens.
She had finally gathered the courage to express her feelings, only to be met with a cold interrogation.
Did being the Star Plasma Vessel mean she wasn't allowed to fall in love?
She was still just a girl. She still wanted a normal life, a relationship… Even if she was destined to fuse with Tengen one day, couldn't she enjoy the years she had left as herself?
"Young Master Satoshi… my actions seem to have troubled you. I'll clarify things."
Her voice was colder now. Yuki was still a powerful sorcerer and the Star Plasma Vessel but she had her own pride too.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 146: A Suitable Tengen Zanpakutō?
Sensing the shift in Yuki's emotions, a flicker of surprise appeared in Satoshi's eyes.
If he had previously believed Yuki was only interested in his Heavenly Restriction and Zanpakutō, now, after catching a glimpse of her true emotions, he could sense the deeper intentions behind her actions.
Thinking of this, Satoshi's tone softened.
"Miss Tsukumo, that's not what I meant. I've heard of the Star Plasma Vessel situation."
"If—just hypothetically—if you didn't have to assimilate with Lord Tengen in the future, would you still choose a boyfriend so quickly?"
Satoshi could feel how decisive and straightforward Yuki was, but he could also imagine what was forcing her hand.
The only thing that could drive a girl to be this resolute in love... must be a lifespan she has no control over.
So, if Yuki truly wanted to be his girlfriend, he hoped it wasn't a decision made under those circumstances.
Satoshi's words made Yuki's body tremble slightly. She couldn't understand what he meant.
As a Star Plasma Vessel, wouldn't she have to assimilate with Tengen? Tengen needed to fuse with a young girl every 500 years. That had always been the unchanging rule in the world of jujutsu. How could that possibly change for her?
Faced with her shocked gaze, Satoshi gave a bitter smile.
In truth, based on the original course of events, even if he didn't interfere, Yuki never ended up assimilating with Tengen. Otherwise, why would Riko appear later?
Whether it was because Yuki awakened something in herself and rejected the fusion, or the process failed for some other reason, Satoshi wasn't completely sure.
However, now that she had reached out to him and made her stance clear, Satoshi naturally wanted to bring her to his side.
Whether as a real girlfriend or a trusted comrade in the same camp.
Yuki was the best possible teammate.
A future top-class sorcerer, someone reliable, someone who could protect her companions and sacrifice herself when needed.
If Satoshi had the choice, he'd be more than satisfied with Yuki's performance. Besides, her presence had played a major role in influencing Geto Suguru's path in the original timeline, which eventually led to him and Satoru walking completely different roads.
But Satoshi didn't think that was Yuki's fault. Geto had already been shaken by that point.
Even without that talk with Yuki, Geto would've gone down the path he chose.
"Not assimilating with Lord Tengen? What does that even mean? If Lord Tengen doesn't undergo assimilation, he'll lose his human consciousness and ascend to a higher-dimensional state. That would have massive consequences for the entire world."
A flash of worry passed through Yuki's eyes, yet for some reason, she also felt an inexplicable trust in Satoshi.
The centuries-old tradition tied to Tengen didn't seem to mean anything to Satoshi.
"Miss Tsukumo, you came here with an invitation from Lord Tengen, right? I understand. Once I've recovered, I'll go with you to meet him. At that time, I want to examine his body. Maybe I can find a way to stabilize his condition without needing the Star Plasma Vessel."
Satoshi's voice was calm, but for Yuki, it was a huge shock.
She didn't doubt his words because she knew Satoshi had no reason to lie.
"A Zanpakutō?"
Yuki asked nervously.
Satoshi nodded. He did have a Zanpakutō in mind that might solve Tengen's issue, but he needed more time to analyze the details.
Hearing that it was really related to a Zanpakutō, Yuki finally relaxed.
Even though Satoshi was still young, when it came to forging Zanpakutō, he was the only authority.
If he said it was possible to solve Tengen's problem with a Zanpakutō, then there was hope.
As her emotions settled, the tense atmosphere in the room began to ease.
Satoshi looked at Yuki seriously.
"So, now that you know this, you should reconsider your future, Miss Tsukumo. We're still young. There's no need to rush into life-changing decisions."
Yuki lowered her head slightly, glancing at Satoshi who was resting his chin on his hand, and her heart stirred.
Despite the obvious age gap, Yuki was drawn to the contrast between Satoshi's mature mind and his young body.
For her, interest was the foundation of emotion.
Only when there was genuine interest could a real relationship form.
"I don't think there's anyone more suitable."
Yuki suddenly said.
As someone blessed with incredible luck and talent, after seeing Satoshi's true strength, her standards for a partner had risen sharply.
Even though he was just six years old, she felt he was worth waiting for.
Satoshi was stunned. He didn't expect himself to be this popular.
After all, the woman in front of him would grow to become one of the most beautiful and powerful in the jujutsu world. If she insisted on being with him, he really couldn't think of a reason to say no.
Seeing that Satoshi didn't reply, Yuki pressed forward.
"Since there's no one else more suitable, why not give it a try? If it doesn't work out, we can talk about it then."
"Well, that's all we can do for now. After I go to the Tombs of the Star and meet Lord Tengen, we can reevaluate our relationship."
Just like that, under public pressure and emotional momentum, Satoshi and Yuki unofficially became a couple.
Even though most of the jujutsu world felt the age gap was a bit much...
Once they considered Yuki's ties to the Tombs of the Star, and the political weight of the Tsukumo clan in Kyoto, the controversy faded just as quickly as it began.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 147: Tengen's Summons
One month later.
At the Yorozuya, Satoshi's body had mostly recovered, and Yuki had already returned to the Tombs of the Star to report everything to Tengen.
In another three days, Satoshi would personally head to the Tombs of the Star to meet Tengen.
During this time, in addition to healing, Satoshi also began learning Hohō from Satoru.
Satoru, who had mastered the Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, could indeed be called the fastest sorcerer alive.
Although Satoshi couldn't use Limitless, with the aid of Six Eyes, he analyzed the core of Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue and successfully adapted it into a movement technique for himself.
After a month of focused training, Satoshi's Hohō improved dramatically, and his combat flexibility also reached new heights.
Even when sparring with Toji, Satoshi's use of Hohō made it difficult for him to keep up.
Satoshi didn't overthink his relationship with Yuki. This visit to the Tombs of the Star had two goals: resolving Tengen's Star Plasma Vessel problem and preparing to claim both Tengen and Yuki as experience leeks.
Gaining experience from an immortal sorcerer like Tengen and a future Special Grade like Yuki… Satoshi could already imagine the rewards waiting for him.
He had a rough idea of how to forge a Zanpakutō for Tengen, but when it came to forging one for Yuki, nothing had clicked yet.
Creating a Zanpakutō for Tengen could drastically alter the future.
If Tengen no longer needed to assimilate with a Star Plasma Vessel, then Satoru and Suguru would never be assigned to protect Amanai Riko. That in turn meant Geto Suguru wouldn't spiral into despair over her death.
Of course, with Geto's extreme ideology, he might still eventually follow the path of purging humanity, but at the very least, it could be postponed for a few years.
Maybe by then, Satoshi could find a way to eliminate curses completely...
He looked at Toji and Satoru resting nearby and shook his head.
In the end, I'm the one carrying everything alone.
The reason they can coexist peacefully now is all thanks to me.Meanwhile, the news that Satoshi had been summoned by the Tombs of the Star shocked the jujutsu world.
People were already stunned when they learned that Satoshi's girlfriend was a Star Plasma Vessel, but now, Tengen had personally summoned Satoshi. That was almost unthinkable.
After all, in the past hundred years, no one aside from the Star Plasma Vessel had been allowed into the Tombs of the Star.
Was Satoshi about to become the first outsider to step into the Tombs in over a century?Yagyū Clan.
Yagyū Yusuke looked incredibly fortunate.
"Good thing we built a good relationship with Satoshi early on. Being summoned by Lord Tengen himself… His Zanpakutō must have been acknowledged."
Yagyū Saemon and Yagyū Hidetsugu nodded repeatedly beside him.
They had already recognized Satoshi, so anything related to him was viewed from a positive light.
"Saemon, has your Nejibana reached the level of Bankai yet? As the only Zanpakutō outside of the Big Three Sorcerer Families, you need to give it your all. Don't bring shame to Lord Satoshi."
Yusuke was grateful that he had handed over "Tsuki no Sho" to Satoshi under Hidetsugu's urging. In return, they'd received the Zanpakutō Nejibana.
If he had hesitated back then, the Yagyū clan would have missed out on an opportunity of a lifetime.
Faced with his clan head's expectations, Saemon's expression turned serious.
Compared to Yusuke, he felt even more pressure. He wanted to attain Bankai badly, to stand beside Satoshi's strength. But the path to Bankai was incredibly difficult.
Even after a full month, he hadn't made any real progress.
Seeing the look on his face, Yusuke could already guess the result.
The only small comfort was that not even Satoru's Senbonzakura or Toji's Katen Kyōkotsu had achieved Bankai yet.
Currently, the only one who had achieved Bankai was Satoshi. As the forger of Zanpakutō, it made sense that he was ahead of everyone else.
"We need to stay focused. That said, the Association wants you to take on another exorcism mission. Do you want me to help you turn it down?"
Though Hidetsugu couldn't help with Bankai, he could clear some obstacles for Saemon.
After thinking for a moment, Saemon shook his head.
"No need. Lord Satoshi achieved Bankai with Sode no Shirayuki during a real battle. Maybe those missions will help me grasp the essence of Bankai."
"Sitting at home won't make a breakthrough. Might as well go and complete the Association's missions."
He gently ran his fingers over the blade of Nejibana, eyes full of longing.
But no matter how much desire he poured into it, Nejibana gave no response.
Clearly, the road to Bankai was still far off.
On the other hand, many smaller sorcerer families had begun reallocating the resources they had prepared. Satoshi being summoned by Tengen meant he was worth serious investment.
These minor clans had previously been rejected by the Gojo clan. They understood clearly—if the offer wasn't good enough, they wouldn't even be able to meet Satoshi, let alone receive a Zanpakutō.
As for the Zenin clan, which had ongoing friction with the Gojo family, they were filled with resentment.
In their view, Satoshi was only being summoned to the Tombs of the Star because of his Star Plasma Vessel girlfriend.
Even as the Six Eyes prodigy of the Gojo clan, he had no right to covet the Star Plasma Vessel.
That vessel was the key to Tengen's future assimilation. For someone like Satoshi to be involved with Yuki was nothing short of blasphemy.
To them, there was no way Tengen would let Satoshi off.
This summoning was clearly meant to punish him.
Speculation around what would happen to Satoshi at the Tombs of the Star ran rampant.
No one could guess what kind of news he would bring back from that meeting...

Chapter 148: Young Geto Suguru
Ieiri Residence.
Although Ieiri Inamichi wasn't optimistic about Satoshi's trip to the Tombs of the Star, he still hoped Satoshi could safely complete his audience with Lord Tengen.
Even so, he couldn't help but feel frustrated.
What's wrong with my daughter Shoko? Why did he have to get involved with a Star Plasma Vessel?
That situation is already messy enough. Most people wouldn't want to get anywhere near it, yet Satoshi walked right in.
Now you've done it, huh?
Inamichi firmly believed Tengen would be angry about this. The importance of the Star Plasma Vessel to Tengen was beyond question.
He glanced at Shoko, who looked carefree and indifferent nearby, and sighed internally.
At the very least, just hurry and finish forging Shoko's Zanpakutō.At the foot of Mount Fuji.
Okkotsu Yuto, who was once again heading from his hometown to Tokyo, suddenly sensed a surge of cursed energy.
Turning slightly, he saw a beast-shaped cursed spirit staring fiercely at him. He frowned. This one felt different from the usual weak cursed spirits.
It looked strong. If it made it into the city, it would probably cause a lot of damage.
"I'll purify you here."
Ever since meeting Satoshi and Satoru at the Gojo estate, Yuto had fully stepped into the world of sorcery. Even cursed spirits he would've ignored before, he now took seriously, treating them as a sorcerer should.
Cursed energy surged around his hands. Just from his aura alone, the beast-like cursed spirit began retreating.
But Yuto had already taken action. He wasn't going to let the cursed spirit off. As he swung his blade, a wave of cursed energy shot forth, enough to completely obliterate the creature.
However, just as his cursed energy was about to strike, a second, larger cursed spirit suddenly appeared and blocked the attack, shielding the beast-shaped spirit.
"What the...?"
Yuto froze in surprise.
Then a young boy's voice rang out.
"Hey, uncle, why are you attacking my cursed spirit?"
A boy in a school uniform appeared behind the larger cursed spirit. He placed a hand on each spirit, and they both vanished at his command.
Is this kid a sorcerer too?
Yuto was stunned. Those weren't ordinary shikigami, but more like summoned cursed spirits. And the boy... he looked no older than six.
He had a bun tied up with a fringe falling over the left side of his forehead.
"Little guy, are you a sorcerer? Sorry about that. I thought those cursed spirits were wild, so I tried to exorcise them. I didn't realize they were yours."
"Your technique, is it summoning cursed spirits?"
Hearing the apology, the boy's sour expression softened.
"My technique isn't summoning. It's manipulation."
He offered only that much before clamming up again.
Yuto smiled.
"I see. So what's your name? I'm Okkotsu Yuto. I'm heading to Tokyo and passing by Mount Fuji. You're pretty young. What are you doing around here?"
He wasn't underestimating him. After meeting Satoshi and Satoru, Okkotsu had long since stopped judging sorcerers by age.
A sorcerer's power came mostly from innate talent, and one's cursed technique was their most fundamental weapon. In most cases, the strength of the technique defined the strength of the sorcerer.
The boy hesitated, then responded politely since Yuto had introduced himself.
"My name is Geto Suguru. I'm here at Mount Fuji for personal reasons."
Geto didn't plan to explain his true purpose. He didn't know yet whether Yuto was friend or foe.
After speaking, Geto began walking toward the mountain.
"It's pretty dangerous up there! Even if you're a sorcerer, you shouldn't go up alone. Where are your parents?"
Yuto called after him, concerned.
But Geto ignored him, summoned the beast-like cursed spirit again, climbed onto its back, and shot toward the summit.
Yuto sighed helplessly.
Still, he admired Geto's vigilance. Even so, he was worried. No matter how you looked at it, that child was only five or six years old. Climbing Mount Fuji alone wasn't safe.
And he was curious. What exactly was Geto Suguru after?
The beast cursed spirit was fast, but with Yuto's cursed energy, catching up wasn't difficult.
"Hey, Geto. You heading to the top? What's up there?"
Geto glanced back as Yuto caught up, surprised that he kept pace on foot.
This guy's strong. Way stronger than the cursed spirit from before.
Realizing he couldn't beat Yuto, Geto let his guard down. After all, if Yuto meant him harm, he wouldn't be able to resist anyway.
"Yes. There's something I need at the summit."
Geto replied calmly and urged the cursed spirit to speed up.
The summit?
Mount Fuji was an active volcano. Yuto wasn't concerned for Geto's safety anymore, but for the mountain itself. A child with the ability to control cursed spirits wandering around on a volcano could be a serious problem.
Besides, although it was faint, he sensed another cursed presence near the top.
Could that cursed energy be Geto Suguru's target?
Yuto decided to follow him, both out of concern and curiosity.
Geto glanced behind again and sighed inwardly. Originally, his goal had been to prepare a technique to capture a cursed spirit on the verge of being born.
Now, with Yuto tailing him, the situation was exposed.
Unfortunately, Geto lacked Yuto's perception and didn't realize... another sorcerer was already waiting atop Mount Fuji.

Chapter 149: Cursed Womb in Mount Fuji
At the summit of Mount Fuji, Yuki stood at the edge of the crater, her expression solemn as she stared down into its depths.
She didn't fully understand why Tengen had instructed her to retrieve the unborn Cursed Womb or why it was said to benefit Satoshi's Zanpakutō. Still, if it was something that could help Satoshi, she had no reason not to bring it back to the Tombs of the Star.
As for the cursed energy emerging from the foot of the mountain, Yuki didn't pay it much mind.
Right now, she was confident she could handle any intruder.Geto Suguru and Yuto reached the summit shortly after.
When they spotted Yuki, both of them froze.
Geto hadn't expected to see such a beautiful woman standing atop Mount Fuji. Yuto, on the other hand, was startled by the immense pressure she exuded. Her power alone was enough to make even him feel a faint sense of threat.
"This area is off limits. What are you doing here?"
Yuki frowned at the two before her. She was on a mission from Tengen and had no interest in dealing with random interference.
Within the crater of Mount Fuji, a Cursed Womb was in the final stages of formation. In just a few days, it would be born as a cursed spirit.
And according to Tengen, this cursed spirit had a direct connection to Satoshi's Zanpakutō.
If necessary, she would eliminate all obstacles.
"Pretty lady, we're just passing by. Honest!"
Geto noticed Yuki's attention remained fixed on the crater and began forming his own guesses.
He quickly pulled Yuto aside and whispered to him about the cursed energy...
"What are you really here for?"
Yuto narrowed his eyes at Geto, knowing there had to be more to it than just sightseeing.
"Could you help me stall that woman?"
Geto nudged Yuto and whispered his plan.
"Why?" Yuto asked, frowning.
Geto went silent for a moment, then explained the principles of his technique in a low voice.
Upon learning that Geto's cursed technique was cursed spirit manipulation and that he had come to Mount Fuji for the unborn cursed spirit, Yuto's expression changed.
"The cursed spirit in Mount Fuji?"
Yuto grew serious. Cursed spirits born from Mount Fuji or other natural disasters were generally Special Grade.
Even if it hadn't yet been born, the Cursed Womb was still the seed of a Special Grade and not something a five or six-year-old child like Geto could control.
Geto nodded.
"That's right. Just help me distract that lady and I can extract the Womb from the magma. I'll be able to control the cursed spirit inside right away."
Even though he seemed mature, Geto was still a child and didn't yet understand the danger of such ambitions.
The moment he finished speaking, Yuto grabbed him by the back of his collar.
"Hey, miss! This kid here's trying to steal the Cursed Womb from Mount Fuji. Are you after it too?"
"Uncle, how could you sell me out?!"
Geto flailed and shouted in protest.
Yuki's gaze snapped toward him.
She had originally thought she was the only one aware of the Cursed Womb in the volcano, but these two strangers not only knew about it—they had the means to try and take it?
And this strange boy was even confident in his ability to steal it?
Yuki stepped toward Geto, her presence pressing down on him.
"This is a mission directly from the Tombs of the Star. I will be taking the Cursed Womb back. Whatever your intentions are, I suggest you leave now."
She made her affiliation with the Tombs of the Star clear without hesitation.
Yuto immediately understood. His earlier assessment hadn't been wrong—this woman was stronger than him.
Which meant this kid beside him, trying to steal a Cursed Womb from someone like her, was really asking for death.
But when he heard the name Tombs of the Star, the first person that came to mind was Satoshi.
Before passing Mount Fuji, Yuto had already heard the rumors that Satoshi was going to meet Tengen. Now, with someone from the Tombs of the Star standing here, he couldn't help but grow curious.
The entire jujutsu world was buzzing with speculation about Satoshi's meeting with Tengen.
Some believed Tengen was interested in Satoshi's forged Zanpakutō. Others claimed the issue was Satoshi's relationship with the Star Plasma Vessel, that Lord Tengen opposed it.
Yuto had originally planned to visit the Gojo family and speak with Satoshi. But now that someone from the Tombs of the Star was here, it was the perfect opportunity to ask.
"Excuse me, miss, I'd like to ask about—"
Before Yuto could finish, Mount Fuji trembled.
It was subtle enough that ordinary people might not notice, but the three of them, all sorcerers, immediately picked up on it.
The source was unmistakable.
The Cursed Womb inside Mount Fuji had begun to stir.
Yuki's eyes sharpened. This had to be the moment Tengen had foreseen.
Without hesitation, she drew Garuda, cracked it like a whip, and cast the Star Rage spell into it.
The massive force generated sent Garuda crashing straight into Mount Fuji.
She wasn't just planning to retrieve the Cursed Womb. She also intended to eliminate the threat of an eruption altogether.
Geto stared, stunned by the drastic change in the cursed energy beneath the mountain. Then, as the implications sank in, he actually felt relieved.
He had originally thought the cursed spirit would only be Grade 1. With his technique, he could control it once it was born.
But now, it was clearly Special Grade.
There was no way he could control something like that.
Thinking about it made Geto break into a cold sweat. If Yuto had gone along with his plan and they tried to seize the Cursed Womb, they might've been the ones destroyed instead.
"You little brat, you've got some nerve. That woman's strength is on another level. Even I can't match her. And you wanted to steal a Cursed Womb from her?"
Geto grimaced.
"I didn't expect the cursed spirits in Mount Fuji to be so powerful. They're already top-grade by the time they're born. No wonder someone from the Tombs of the Star is here."
"Still, by my calculations, it shouldn't be time for the cursed spirit to be born yet."
"Why would someone from the Tombs of the Star arrive so early?"
He had thought arriving ahead of time would give him an edge. Clearly, they had been prepared far in advance.
After a short while, Garuda shot out of Mount Fuji, completely intact. Wrapped in a red sphere, it now carried within it a mysterious, shadowy figure...
(To be continued.)
On the agreed day, Satoshi, Satoru, and Toji arrived near the Tombs of the Star at the same time.
The entire jujutsu world was paying attention to Satoshi and his group. The reappearance of the Tombs of the Star, long absent from the public eye, was no ordinary matter.
Although Satoshi didn't believe Tengen would harm him, he still insisted on bringing Toji along. As for Satoru, he simply wanted to tag along.
"Three distinguished guests, Lord Tengen invites you."
A girl came out to receive Satoshi and the others, but it wasn't Yuki.
Satoshi was a little puzzled. This wasn't what had been agreed upon. Yuki had said she would personally meet them.
Still, he didn't dwell on it. He had already sensed that the Zenin clan had increased their vigilance.
Given the current situation, with the Zenin clan's strength, even the Tombs of the Star couldn't eliminate them without making waves.
As long as Toji had a chance to fight back, even the mysterious Tombs of the Star would likely be torn apart by him and Katen Kyōkotsu.Elsewhere, in a corner of the Tombs of the Star.
Yuto and Geto stood in front of the Cursed Womb, managing its state with helpless expressions.
After Yuto revealed Geto's plan on Mount Fuji, Yuki unexpectedly brought them back with her.
After meeting Tengen, who turned out to be female, they were treated as laborers tasked with stabilizing the Cursed Womb.
According to Tengen, this was to provide an opportunity for Satoshi.
"I never thought Lord Tengen would be a girl."
Geto used Cursed Spirit Manipulation to suppress the development of the Cursed Womb, a trace of surprise on his face.
He had assumed that Tengen, who had the Immortality and Barrier Technique, would be an old man. Never did he expect her to appear as a girl no older than her teens.
"All Star Plasma Vessels are female. Since Tengen assimilated with one, it's essentially confirmed she's a woman."
Yuto explained, displaying his deep knowledge.
Still, he too was surprised that Tengen looked so young.
As for the task given to them, though it was related to Satoshi—neither of them felt any hostility from Tengen. The girl from the Tombs of the Star led Satoshi and the others inside. They looked around curiously. But soon, a strange cursed force began attacking them.
The entire Tombs of the Star began shifting like a Rubik's Cube. Satoshi, Satoru, Toji, and the girl found themselves standing on separate spatial platforms.
The three simultaneously drew their Zanpakutō.
Something was wrong. Why was the Tombs of the Star behaving this way? Was Tengen actually hostile?
That thought flashed through Satoshi's mind.
The next second, the space became sealed. Satoshi, Satoru, and Toji were each trapped inside individual space grid locks, completely separated.
"Satoshi, wait for me to come get you!"
"Hang on, I'll be quick."
Just before the grid sealed completely, Satoru and Toji shouted toward Satoshi.
Satoshi curled his lips at their words. He didn't think he was the weakest among them.
No matter how bad things got, he could still use Bankai.
He wanted to see what kind of game Tengen was playing this time...
At the same time, Geto received an order from Tengen to withdraw the cursed energy suppressing the birth of the Cursed Womb. The womb began pulsing violently, as if the cursed spirit inside was about to be born.Bang, bang, bang—
Satoshi stood in a silver space, frowning. It felt like this space was meant to restrain him, no visible attack mechanisms.
But the constant pounding sound made him uneasy.
Was there another creature in this space?
The sound resembled a heartbeat.
Focusing his Six Eyes, Satoshi traced the sound to its source.
Once his vision pierced through the illusion, he realized the noise came from a Cursed Womb.
How could a Cursed Womb be in the Tombs of the Star?
Satoshi was puzzled. No matter how he looked at it, the Tombs of the Star and the Cursed Womb seemed completely incompatible.
But there was no time to wonder. He could feel the cursed spirit inside was moments from being born—and it wasn't weak.
He had no idea what Tengen was thinking, but to end things quickly, he decided to use Sode no Shirayuki and eliminate the cursed spirit immediately.Elsewhere in the Tombs of the Star, Toji and Satoru had already released Katen Kyōkotsu and Senbonzakura respectively.
With the strength of their Zanpakutō and their own power, they were confident they could end this quickly and regroup with Satoshi.
But to their surprise, before they could act, the space around them began melting away, revealing the outside.
What's going on?
Both thought the same thing.
Around the dissolving grid, several figures appeared—Yuki, Yuto, Geto, and the unfamiliar girl from earlier.
The scene was odd. Satoru and Toji couldn't immediately tell whether Yuki was friend or foe.
Not seeing Satoshi, they suddenly rushed toward the strange girl beside Yuki.
From her position and bearing, they guessed this was Tengen herself.
If Tengen was the one behind this ambush, then they wouldn't hold back.
"Lord Tengen is doing this for Satoshi!"
Yuki raised Garuda and used Star Rage to intercept their attack.
At that moment, Yuto also sided with Yuki, helping her block Satoru and Toji's assault.
Satoru hadn't recognized Yuto at first, but once he moved, the cursed energy gave him away.
"Yuto, why are you turning against the Gojo clan too?"
Satoru's Six Eyes were sharp with fury. After being attacked upon arrival, he didn't believe Tengen had good intentions at all.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 151: The Thrill
"Satoru, Lord Tengen really doesn't have any hostility toward Satoshi! Please believe that."
Yuto understood the inside story, so he was unwilling to let relations between the Tombs of the Star and the Gojo clan fall apart.
Tengen meant well, but her method was simply too unorthodox.
How could a newly born Special Grade Cursed Spirit be prepared as a gift for a visiting guest? At the same time, the Tombs of the Star had entered a full lockdown and vanished again.
All the major forces in the jujutsu world who had been tracking Satoshi's movements were stunned.
Although the Tombs of the Star had long remained out of sight, many sorcerer clans understood the significance of its recent state of isolation.
It could only mean one thing—the Tombs of the Star was either facing a powerful enemy or undergoing internal turmoil. Its shift into this special lockdown implied a threat too serious to be ignored.
Now that Satoshi had just entered the Tombs and such an event occurred, didn't that suggest the Tombs' attitude toward him?
Zenin clan residence.
Ogi's heart was filled with malicious glee. He hoped Satoshi would die at Tengen's hands. That way, the Zanpakutō—a threat to the jujutsu world—would disappear completely.
Because of Satoshi and his Zanpakutō, Ogi's position in the clan had become awkward, and his status was even at risk of being overtaken by his nephew, Toji.
And the one responsible for all of this was none other than Satoshi.
Hopefully, this time, Tengen would eliminate that threat once and for all.
Elsewhere in the Zenin residence, others received the news with solemn expressions.
They didn't believe Tengen was simply targeting Satoshi.
If that were the case, neither Toji nor the Gojo clan would sit still.
Though the Tombs of the Star was powerful, the Gojo clan's strength had also reached impressive heights. On top of that, there was Toji, whose strength had long surpassed measurement. It was hard to believe Lord Tengen would act so irrationally.
However, it was merely a Star Plasma Vessel, hardly enough reason for the Tombs to enter full lockdown. There had to be something more behind this.Kamo family.
Kamo Shin had recently taken in a woman who gave him the gentleness his tiger of a wife never did.
He kept her as a mistress outside the family without telling his wife.
For some reason, he felt she would bear him a child—one who would surely benefit the family.
After hearing that Satoru and Satoshi had been trapped in the Tombs of the Star, he couldn't suppress his excitement.
If something truly happened to the Gojo twins inside the Tombs, then this generation's Six Eyes would no longer pose a threat to the Kamo clan.
And since the Zenin clan had no legacy techniques for shadow manipulation, the Kamo family's issue of lacking a successor to Blood Manipulation didn't seem as critical anymore.Yagyū family.
Yagyū Saemon looked grave. He hadn't expected everyone's fears to come true. Lord Tengen had actually taken action.
"Hidetsugu, I'm heading to the Gojo clan."
Saemon's tone was serious.
Now that both of the Gojo clan's twin prodigies were trapped inside the Tombs of the Star, he knew the Gojo family wouldn't sit still.
He even suspected that Kumaen might mobilize the Gojo clan's elite sorcerers to launch a full-scale attack on the Tombs.
As someone who had received the favor of a Zanpakutō, and as a member of the Gojo clan's extended allies, it was his duty to act.
Hidetsugu nodded slightly and added, "You go first. But I think Kumaen should continue observing the situation. I don't believe this is so simple. Lord Tengen's response feels like an automatic defense, not an attack."
At that moment, the head of the Yagyū clan spoke as well.
"Lord Tengen's actions don't seem like a direct assault on Satoshi, but more like a built-in defense mechanism of the Tombs."
"Still, since the Yagyū clan has chosen to side with the Gojo clan, we'll stand with them through this."
"Hidetsugu, Saemon—go to the Gojo residence at once."
Yagyū Yusuke made a decisive call. He didn't care what secrets lay within the Tombs of the Star. What mattered now was strengthening the bond between the Yagyū and Gojo clans.Gojo clan.
Kumaen's face was like still water, calm but dangerous. Across from him, the old man on the reclining chair rested with his eyes closed, unmoved.
"Satoru and Satoshi have gone dark inside the Tombs of the Star," Kumaen said.
The old man replied, "Lord Tengen wouldn't risk her own life."
Kumaen frowned. "She has the Immortality technique. Is this even a risk to her?"
The old man responded, "Satoshi brought Toji with him. That means Lord Tengen doesn't intend to harm them. Toji, who lacks Cursed Energy, is practically invincible inside the Tombs."
Kumaen nodded slowly. "Even so, they shouldn't be left to be rescued by the Zenin clan."
"You're too fixated, Kumaen," the old man said. "Still, since you're in charge now, do as you see fit."
Kumaen's expression didn't change, but a decision had clearly been made. The sudden lockdown and disappearance of the Tombs of the Star sent shockwaves across the jujutsu world.
Rumors spread that Satoshi had angered Tengen.Inside the Tombs of the Star, Yuki and Yuto, backed by the barrier's blessings, barely managed to fend off Toji and Satoru.
But the space around them had already been devastated.
Only the platform where Tengen stood remained untouched. Everything else lay in ruins.
Geto summoned cursed spirits to shield himself from the destruction. His eyes were filled with disbelief as he watched Satoru, someone the same age as him.
He had always believed he was unmatched among his peers.
But after witnessing the strange and limitless techniques Satoru used, Geto realized—there's always someone stronger.
He had seen too little of the world.
This kind of power, and at such a young age… it made Geto feel a deep inferiority.
He thought of how disgusting it was to devour cursed spirits, but now he wanted more.
Maybe then, he could reach that level. Maybe then, he could stand on equal footing.
Gojo Satoru, huh?
That name echoed in his mind. A determination was born within Geto Suguru.
He had to surpass this monster among peers.
And the only way forward… was more curses. Stronger curses. Better techniques.
For the first time, Geto had a clear goal and a rival to chase.
The gears of fate had started to turn once more.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 152: Tengen's Plan
With Tengen's technique activated, the entire Tombs of the Star became her territory. The movements of Satoru and Toji were instantly suppressed.
Satoru's Six Eyes scanned the area, searching for weaknesses in the barrier and waiting for the right moment to act, but Tengen's voice abruptly shifted everyone's attention.
"You can see for yourselves. Satoshi is about to begin his battle."
As Tengen expanded the barrier, a projection appeared before them.
The image was nearly as vivid as an IMAX screen from the future.
As Satoshi appeared, everyone focused their gaze on the projection.
That person looks exactly like the boy in front of me. Are they twins?
Is this the one Lord Tengen has been preparing for all this time?
Geto Suguru was stunned once again.
To him, Satoru was already incredibly powerful, yet Tengen had shown no concern about him.
So then, what kind of existence was the young man in this image?Satoshi held his Zanpakutō, his expression serious.
As soon as the Cursed Womb began to hatch, he had already recited the Shikai chant for Sode no Shirayuki, even preparing to activate Bankai.
But to his surprise, Sode no Shirayuki didn't respond at all.
At the same time, a rule clearly formed in his mind.
[In this space, ice and snow are prohibited.]
Satoshi frowned. Ice and snow techniques were sealed? That meant his strongest combat power—Sode no Shirayuki—was completely blocked.
Was this a specially crafted prohibition?
So this is Tengen's doing?
What was she planning by doing this?
At that moment, the cursed spirit born from the Cursed Womb emerged.
It had a bald, round head, pale blue skin, and a large single eye in the center of its face.
"A one-eyed monk?"
Satoshi muttered instinctively, recalling a certain yokai. But a strange familiarity crept in as he stared at the cursed spirit, like he had seen it somewhere before.
An odd feeling.
Still, the spirit's power was undeniable. Despite just being born, it already radiated Special Grade strength.
And not just a normal Special Grade, but one that stood among the top of them.
Sensing Satoshi's presence, the blue-skinned cursed spirit locked on.
Though its awareness was minimal, it knew instantly—Satoshi wasn't its kind.
So, without hesitation, it charged and threw a powerful punch directly at him.
The blow was immense, but Satoshi wasn't fazed. After all, he had refined his Shunpo considerably.
That brute-force attack wouldn't work on him.
Even without Sode no Shirayuki, he still had Hakuda, Hohō, and Zanjutsu training. He might not be able to kill it yet, but he could easily hold out until Toji and Satoru arrived.
He dodged the attack and prepared to counter.
But just as he was about to strike, he felt a sudden heat rise from beneath his feet.
Something's wrong.
Satoshi used Shunpo to evade.
The next second, a crater burst open where he stood, thick magma surging out.
His brows furrowed as the cursed spirit's figure began to overlap with a memory—one he hadn't thought about for a long time.
This crater, the power of fire...
So Jogo was born at this moment?
But why here in the Tombs of the Star?
It was too perfect, too staged—like someone had orchestrated this entire encounter.
And in this domain, the only person capable of that… was Tengen.
Satoshi narrowed his eyes. With her mysterious identity and domain control, had she somehow discovered he was a reincarnator?
If so, what should he do?
He stopped overthinking. In the end, there were only two sides—enemy or ally.
If Tengen was friendly, then he'd forge her a suitable Zanpakutō and treat it like a trial run.
But if she was hostile, he wouldn't hesitate to bring Toji and tear the Tombs of the Star apart.Tengen and the others observing from outside had no idea what was running through Satoshi's mind. They were focused entirely on the projection.
"Why isn't he using Sode no Shirayuki? Based on its properties, that cursed spirit should be vulnerable to it, right?" Satoru asked first, noticing something off.
So far, Satoshi hadn't used any Zanpakutō abilities. Not even Shikai.
Toji frowned too. He knew Satoshi wasn't holding back, so the most likely explanation was that the Tombs of the Star had hidden restrictions.
Yuto hadn't seen Satoshi in a while, but he knew how strong Sode no Shirayuki was and nodded in agreement with Satoru.
Geto, however, didn't understand what they were talking about.
As for Yuki, her gaze stayed fixed on Tengen. In her mind, a previous conversation replayed.Tengen: Yuki, this cursed spirit was born from Mount Fuji. You told me before that Satoshi has a flame-type Zanpakutō, but he's always struggled to release its power.
Tengen: This Special Grade cursed spirit is his opportunity. If he can use that flame-type Zanpakutō to defeat it, everything will become easier.
Yuki: But Lord Tengen, how can you be sure he'll use the fire-type one?
Yuki: With his current strength, he doesn't need it. Sode no Shirayuki's Bankai is more than enough.
Tengen: I'll seal his ability to use ice and snow. That way, he'll have no choice but to use the other Zanpakutō.It was all part of Tengen's plan.
But none of them had expected that Satoshi could actually hold off a Special Grade cursed spirit without relying on any Cursed Technique or Zanpakutō ability.
(To be continued.)
The newly born Jogo had no idea that the human standing before her would be this powerful.
Her relentless, high-speed barrage was actually evaded by the human using just his body movements. This level of speed was far beyond normal human standards.
"Looks like you're done."
As Satoshi watched Jogo begin to pant, he stopped playing around.
Seeing his Hohō experience bar steadily rising, Satoshi felt that he had held back enough.
He returned Sode no Shirayuki to his waist, then prepared to end the battle using Hakuda alone.
Until now, the only one who had matched Satoshi in close-quarters combat was Toji, currently the strongest physical fighter in the world.
Now, finally, he had a Cursed Spirit with a sufficiently durable body to test his skills against."Why would he put away his Zanpakutō?"
Satoshi's action of sheathing Sode no Shirayuki left Geto puzzled.
That was a Special Grade Cursed Spirit. How could the one fighting it be so arrogant?
Yuto was just as confused.
Only Satoru and Toji seemed calm.
After witnessing Jogo's strength, they realized that Satoshi had essentially secured the win.
After all, Satoshi's raw physical power and close-combat ability were enough to overwhelm even a Special Grade.
Then, under the stunned gazes of Yuki and Tengen, Satoshi began ruthlessly beating Jogo into the ground...
"As expected, beings with Heavenly Restriction can't be judged by conventional logic."
"Lord Tengen, it seems you've made a mistake."
Yuki felt that since things had reached this point, it was better to let Satoshi go. Otherwise, if he defeated Jogo and broke out of the Tombs of the Star by force, the atmosphere would become even more awkward.
Tengen concealed her inner shock, rubbed her cheek with her fingers, and a faint smile crept onto her lips.
"Interesting."
"But, Yuki, do you think that's all I've prepared? If so, you're underestimating me."
Tengen narrowed her eyes, locking onto Satoshi.
The feast she'd laid out for Satoshi would be meaningless if the main guest didn't take his seat.
Use this, Satoshi. Use this battle of extreme flame to awaken your dormant Flame Zanpakutō.
Tengen pressed her palms together and formed hand seals, chanting softly:
"Coffin of the Iron Mountain."
This was Jogo's Domain. The newly born Jogo still didn't have the ability to open a Domain, but Tengen used the power of the Tombs of the Star to help her construct and expand it.
With the emergence of the Iron Mountain, the entire Tombs of the Star was encased in searing magma.
Logically, those outside shouldn't have been able to observe what was happening inside.
However, because Tengen had assisted in opening the Domain, she also had administrative authority over it.
Through the projections she created, the interior of the Domain remained visible.
The sudden Domain Expansion caught Satoshi off guard.
He hesitated. He could confirm that this was Jogo's Domain, but the cursed spirit had clearly been too busy getting pummeled to open a Domain on his own.
This Domain had appeared without warning.
Satoshi's thoughts immediately turned to the mysterious master of the Tombs of the Star. Tengen had forced him to fight Jogo while also forcing him not to use his Zanpakutō. What was the point of all this?
Satoshi didn't understand.
He couldn't see how any of this benefited Tengen.
Still, this was a rare experience.
In just one month, he had encountered Domain Expansion twice.
These consecutive experiences helped him further understand the gap in Domain development between humans and cursed spirits.
In the original series, each Special Grade Cursed Spirit in the villain group had its own Domain: Mahito's Self-Embodiment of Perfection, Hanami's Shining Sea of Growing Branches, Jogo's Coffin of the Iron Mountain, and Dagon's Horizon Of The Captivating Skandha.
However, aside from that group, very few other Special Grades had Domains.
That alone proved the overwhelming strength of this particular group. Still, compared to the adult Jogo's Coffin of the Iron Mountain or Dagon's Horizon of the Captivating Skandha, this domain's functionality felt rather one-dimensional.
The Domain of a Cursed Spirit often aligned perfectly with their innate abilities, but lacked the complexity and flexibility of a human sorcerer's Domain.
Satoshi grew increasingly vigilant.
Inside this Domain, he couldn't afford to take Jogo's attacks lightly.
Especially since the Domain was constructed with Tengen's Cursed Energy, boosting it far beyond its normal limits.
The moment the Coffin of the Iron Mountain appeared, the heavily beaten Jogo broke free from Satoshi's attack range and launched a fierce counterattack.
Satoshi, without the aid of his Zanpakutō, now found himself at a disadvantage, while Jogo was empowered by her Domain. In an instant, the tide of battle reversed.
From suppressing Jogo to being suppressed himself—Satoshi could hardly believe the sheer boost Jogo had received.
This is just cheating.
The thought flashed through his mind—but then he remembered.
He was the biggest cheater in the world.
Because of the guaranteed-hit nature of Domain Expansion, Satoshi's Shunpo couldn't fully avoid the attacks. After taking another hit from Jogo, Satoshi began to grow irritated.
You're not letting me use Sode no Shirayuki, huh?
But I still have another Zanpakutō.
When it comes to fire, no one outclasses Ryūjin Jakka.
Even if it's just a fire stick right now, it's still a battle-hardened fire stick.
Since I'm taking hits anyway, I might as well let Ryūjin Jakka see what these flame-wielding cursed spirits can do.
Jogo was basically the second-best fire user in this world, right behind Ryomen Sukuna.
But is he really worthy of standing against Ryūjin Jakka?
Satoshi reached for the hilt at his side. With a swift pull of his right hand, he drew Ryūjin Jakka.
Anticipation flickered in Tengen and Yuki's eyes. Yuto and Geto, unfamiliar with Ryūjin Jakka, were simply confused.
Satoru and Toji, on the other hand, looked visibly concerned.
They both knew Ryūjin Jakka's current state.
Would Ryūjin Jakka respond to Satoshi's call?
Neither of them could say for sure. But at this point, it was the only option left.
Hopefully, within this Domain, Ryūjin Jakka would finally unleash its technique...
It wasn't just what Tengen hoped for.
It was what they all hoped for.
(To be continued.)
Chapter 154: Has Ryūjin Jakka Awakened?
"All Things in the Universe, Turn to Ashes!"
As Satoshi spoke those words, Ryūjin Jakka stirred once more.
However, the appearance of Ryūjin Jakka didn't mark a turning point for Satoshi.
Within the Coffin of the Iron Mountain, Ryūjin Jakka was no different from Sode no Shirayuki without her Shikai.
Satoshi had already anticipated this scenario, but when it actually happened, he couldn't help but feel disappointed.
Ryūjin Jakka, such a powerful Zanpakutō had fallen to this state.
On the opposite side, Jogo felt a fatal sense of crisis the moment Satoshi released his Zanpakutō, so he instinctively chose to defend first.
But what surprised him was that the weapon Satoshi took out appeared completely ordinary.
Though confused, Jogo still pressed the advantage.
He knew that this Domain wasn't his own power, so it could vanish at any time.
He had to finish this fight before the Domain collapsed.
Now that he held the upper hand, he had to seize the opportunity.
Waves of searing flames continued to pour out from Jogo's arms. With the Domain's guaranteed hit ability, every attack struck Satoshi directly.
However, due to Ryūjin Jakka's presence, Satoshi appeared noticeably calmer while defending.
After all, Ryūjin Jakka was a fire-type Zanpakutō, while Sode no Shirayuki was ice-type. In this fire-heavy Domain, Ryūjin Jakka was naturally more adaptable.
But being pummeled like this repeatedly, Satoshi's irritation grew.
It was embarrassing, owning the most offensive Zanpakutō, yet forced into a purely defensive role.
Zanjutsu, Hakuda, and Hohō weren't suitable right now.
His Zanpakutō was uncooperative.
Although Satoshi's overall strength far surpassed the current Jogo, for a host of reasons, he had been suppressed throughout the entire battle.
"Ryūjin Jakka, are you really satisfied just passively defending like this? Doesn't this insult your status?"
But Ryūjin Jakka remained silent.
Satoshi closed in and slashed horizontally, sending Jogo flying. Then, without hesitation, he thrust Ryūjin Jakka into the ground.
If Ryūjin Jakka refused to cooperate, there was no point in holding onto it.
After that, Satoshi prepared to rely solely on Hakuda and Shunpo. He'd fight Jogo directly, exchanging blows, even if it meant injury for injury. He would defeat him in this Domain. The spectators watching the projection felt a wave of disappointment.
The plan Tengen had devised didn't seem to have any effect on Satoshi's Ryūjin Jakka.
"Lord Tengen, is this cursed spirit really effective against Ryūjin Jakka?" Yuki bit her lip, visibly displeased.
Toji and Satoru nodded in agreement. They couldn't understand why Tengen had such an odd idea.
Satoshi had already abandoned using Ryūjin Jakka. In that case, how could he possibly activate its technique?
Still, Tengen remained composed.
She showed no signs of concern over Satoshi's actions and continued watching the battle unfold, as though still waiting for the true outcome.Inside the coffin of Iron Mountain, the battle between Jogo and Satoshi raged violently.
The two were locked in a dead-even fight.
Satoshi's Hakuda strikes landed with force, and Jogo's flame attacks continued to hit. Both exchanged injuries, battling fiercely without pause.Satoru and Toji were tempted to intervene.
Tengen calmly extended a hand to stop them.
"If Satoshi knew about this, do you think he'd want you to interfere? Trust me, Satoshi wouldn't want to miss this opportunity."
"Besides, given his current state, even if a cursed spirit were to enter this Domain, both sides would take heavy damage."
"So, what are you really worried about?"
Tengen smiled calmly and added, "Don't you believe in Satoshi's victory?"
Tengen's words left Satoru and Toji silent. Their initial thoughts dissipated. After all, nothing Tengen had done so far had harmed Satoshi.
Though still uneasy, they could only place their hopes on Satoshi using this battle to truly awaken Ryūjin Jakka's technique.
Because they knew just how much Satoshi longed to master it.A punch.
A kick.
A burst of flame.
A surge of cursed energy.
Jogo and Satoshi had been clashing for a long time.
With neither Satoru nor Toji stepping in for support, Satoshi realized something was off.
Tengen shouldn't be this hostile toward him.
Moreover, it was unlikely Tengen would stall Toji and Satoru this long without reason…
So clearly, this wasn't a suppression—it might be a test.
And if he passed it, there might be something to gain.
That was the only explanation that made sense now.
As the battle raged, Satoshi began reviewing the events leading up to this moment.
Yuki hadn't greeted him in person…
Jogo's Cursed Womb had appeared inexplicably in the Tombs of the Star…
The entire space had been specifically built to seal Sode no Shirayuki's abilities…
Toji and Satoru had been detained for an unusually long time…
The Coffin of the Iron Mountain had appeared without warning…
Tengen…
Given all of this, it seemed that Tengen bore no hostility toward him. If anything, everything Tengen did was likely beneficial.
What was he missing?
Satoshi thought back to the complaints he'd made to Yuki about his Zanpakutō.
I can't awaken Ryūjin Jakka's technique. If I had better control, I definitely could've defeated Kaori Itadori…
In the midst of the fight, Satoshi caught sight of Ryūjin Jakka stuck into the ground.
Did Tengen design all of this to deepen his bond with Ryūjin Jakka?
As his Six Eyes scanned Ryūjin Jakka, Satoshi was shocked to feel the fire within it suddenly surge.
He looked around and noticed the volcanic walls had begun to dim.
Ryūjin Jakka is absorbing the power of the Coffin of the Iron Mountain?
At that moment, Satoshi felt a faint response from Ryūjin Jakka.
It had been so long… Getting even a small reaction from Ryūjin Jakka was already a massive step forward.
The last time it had responded was the day it was first forged…

Chapter 155: Shikai
When Satoshi picked up Ryūjin Jakka again, a satisfied smile appeared on Tengen's face. The others also showed a hint of anticipation.
Everything was unfolding according to the plan. Perhaps, just as Tengen had envisioned, Satoshi would truly awaken Ryūjin Jakka's technique through this battle.
At the same time, everyone wondered—what kind of ability did this long-anticipated Zanpakutō truly possess?"Ryūjin Jakka!"
Satoshi gripped the Zanpakutō tightly. The once-warm hilt began to heat up.
The sense of alienation from the world that he'd always felt completely disappeared this time.
In that moment, Ryūjin Jakka seemed to fully integrate into the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Ryūjin Jakka has awakened!
Satoshi felt a surge of satisfaction in his heart. After being tempered by the fire energy of this world, Ryūjin Jakka was finally able to express its will.
Flames? Who was their true origin?
Jogo was indeed powerful, but Ryūjin Jakka would show everyone who truly reigned over fire.Ember Insects.
Inside the Domain, Jogo launched his technique again. Based on previous experience, he still didn't take the Zanpakutō in Satoshi's hand seriously.
His earlier fear of Ryūjin Jakka had completely faded.
After all, Ryūjin Jakka had looked powerful on the surface but weak in essence. To Jogo, it was just a decorative weapon, full of flash but lacking any real substance.
So he made no adjustment to his attack.
However, right at the moment he initiated the technique, he heard Satoshi repeat the release phrase he'd whispered before.
"All Things in the Universe, Turn to Ashes"
Jogo sneered when he saw that Satoshi didn't even attempt to resist. A sinister grin stretched across his face, revealing rows of blackened teeth.
"I win."
The swarm of burning insects rushed straight toward Satoshi.
In Jogo's mind, everything was over. The exchange earlier had exhausted the youth in front of him. He was convinced Satoshi couldn't rise again.
He had finally won before the Domain collapsed. The overwhelming fire attack struck Satoshi head-on. Yuto and Geto revealed faint expressions of pity.
In their eyes, Satoshi no longer had any chance of victory.
But anticipation still flickered on the faces of Satoru and Toji. They both realized something about Ryūjin Jakka must have changed, otherwise Satoshi wouldn't have made such a choice.
The moment the Ember Insects hit Satoshi, a violent explosion erupted. Thick, black smoke completely engulfed him.
No one knew what state Satoshi was in now.
The scene fell into silence, the tension thick in the air—only Tengen smiled faintly.
She could feel the fire surging through the space. It was unlike Jogo's fire. It was a flame that did not belong to this world.Within the black fog, tiny sparks of flame flickered into view.
The spectators suddenly felt the temperature rise sharply. The entire Tombs of the Star seemed wrapped in a wave of invisible fire.
"What just happened?"
Geto wiped the sweat from his brow. The hall, which had previously been cool, now felt like a furnace.
Yuto furrowed his brow. His perception was keener than Geto's. He instantly sensed the change occurring in Satoshi, along with that mysterious fire element. He understood that the shift inside the Tombs of the Star was caused by Satoshi's clash with Jogo.
Toji and Satoru exchanged surprised glances. They knew this power well.
It was the same fire that had appeared when Satoshi first forged Ryūjin Jakka.
Did this mean Satoshi's control over Ryūjin Jakka had taken a step forward?
If Ryūjin Jakka released even a fraction of its full power, it would be enough for Satoshi to claim victory.
Yuki's face lit up with excitement. At least, all her efforts weren't in vain. She had truly helped Satoshi.
Seeing this scene, Tengen's expression grew even more satisfied.
Everyone was eagerly awaiting the outcome… everyone except Jogo, who was now nothing more than a tool being used to pressure Satoshi into growth.Jogo never imagined that his first battle after birth would be this brutal.
He hadn't eaten any humans, hadn't killed anyone, hadn't even had the chance to indulge in a single wicked impulse. Yet he was already facing such a cruel end.
At this moment, even though he still held the upper hand on the battlefield, as time seemed to freeze, countless thoughts flooded his mind.
It felt like his life was about to end before it had even begun.
What memories did he have to cling to?
None.
A life without meaning. For a cursed spirit, that was true tragedy.
His short-lived existence would end without even leaving behind memories. Right now, Jogo had only one thought, if there were a next time, he'd run the moment he saw that kid.
I'm a special-grade cursed spirit. Why can't I even defeat a child?
I manipulate both earth and fire. So why am I afraid of fire?
Yes. Jogo was afraid.
He hadn't even seen the true flames yet, but he could feel the deadly threat radiating from the specks of fire in the black mist.
He knew if he took one more attack, he'd be burned to ashes.
So this is the real power of fire?
"It's over..."
Jogo murmured to himself, giving up all resistance. Facing an attack that hadn't even fully taken form, he had already lost the will to fight.Suddenly, flames burst from the black fog like fireworks.
A burning sword emerged before everyone's eyes, engulfed in dancing flames. Though both Satoshi and Jogo controlled fire, the flames on Jogo's side looked rigid and lifeless, while the fire on Ryūjin Jakka's blade flowed with a wild, living grace.
Flowing Blade-like Flame.
In that instant, everyone finally understood why this Zanpakutō had such a poetic name.
Everyone present realized the battle was already decided.
Satoshi had mastered Ryūjin Jakka.
Jogo was no longer his match.
There was only one outcome waiting for Jogo—death.
He would become the first Special Grade Cursed Spirit to be purified by Satoshi.
