Chapter 195: Adventures in Lyoko Part 1: A Xana Attack
In Equestria, Spyro was standing with his friends looking at the bike that Spyro had built, which ended up attacking them after they had returned from Goldie Delicious's cabin, which was taken over by Xana to attack them, though how it managed to get to Equestria in the first place and take over his bike was a mystery to him, one in which he needed to solve. Spyro then ran to his garage with everyone following close behind to figure out who or what Xana was while Spyro got onto his terminal, frantically inputting commands and codes into the machine while everyone gathered up at the mouth of the garage.
"AIVA, increase the intensity of the firewalls, do not let Xana take over this garage!" Spyro said, going as fast as he could to beat Xana.
"Confirmed sir." AIVA said, her image going from blue to red in a heartbeat. "Error! A virus has been detected and is spreading throughout all systems! Total hostile take over is imminent!"
"Karabast!" Spyro said, everyone getting worried as they watched him go from terminal to terminal. "AIVA, are all plans, schematics and world coordinates saved on my backup drive?"
"Affirmative sir." AIVA replied. "All important documentation and schematics have been saved on the backup drive."
"Good." Spyro said. "Initiate Total System Purge of all data in all systems. Purge code: Inquisitorium!"
"Code accepted." AIVA said. "Initiating purge."
A moment later, alarms went off as the entire room turned red, screens with large triagular exclimation marks appeared as multiple eyes appeared, trying to abort the purge, but a second later, the eyes started to get erased, turning into digital bits of data as they disappeared and alarms went off, Spyro litterally sweating as he watched a bar fill up slowly. An eye then appeared, looking at him as if trying to talk with him, but as it appeared,t he bar was filled and the eyes all disappeared and the entire garage shut down, everything going dark as Spyro wiped the sweat off his brow.
"Not a moment too soon." Spyro said.
"Back up systems online!" AIVA announced, the lights coming on. "Warning! Multiple facilities have been corrupted due to the cyber attack. Hangar bay offline! The Vault offline! Armory offline! Block production plant offline!"
"Great, so we're stuck here." Spyro said.
"What in tarnation happened?" Apple Bloom asked.
"It was a Xana attack." Spyro replied.
"Xana?" Yang asked. "Whose she?"
"It's not a she Yang." Spyro replied. "Xana is a very, very hostile AI unit that is beant on the extermination of human kind. Including myself, Yang, and possibly everyone else who came from another world."
"Wait, what's a human?" Granny Smith asked.
"No time for that Granny." Spyro replied, getting ont he terminal as the screen popped up. "All major systems have been tampered with and corrupted. Including the Hanger. We're not going anywhere anytime soon."
"But why did this Xana attack ya in the first place?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know." Spyro replied. "But I'm more concerned with how it was able to get to Equestria in the first place. There should be no way it would know about the other worlds. It's literally impossible for it to know, unless..."
"Unless somepony told him about them." Applejack said, finishing his sentence.
"Exactly." Spyro said, pulling up the digital world. "Xana is a computer program turned hostile, meaning he can only exist as data, like our friends from the Digital circus."
"Who?" Yang asked.
"Some friends we met back in the digital world." Applejack replied. "Wait, if this Xana attacked us, then that means-"
"We need to get back into the Grid." Spyro said, inputting a command as three Digitizers appeared. "I have just enough power to send myself and two others into the Grid to check on our friends and to stop Xana."
"Ah'll go with you." Applejack said.
"NO!" Everyone shouted at the same time, spooking her.
"Ya'll are stayin' here where ya won't get hurt!" Granny Smith said.
"Eeyup." Big Mac said.
"Aw come on, Ah wanna help." Applejack said.
"I know AJ, but we can't risk your safety or the baby's." Spyro replied.
"Well, maybe Ah can go get the others, let them know what's happening." Applejack said.
"No time for that." Spyro replied. "Xana won't just attack us digitally, but can activate nodes that could do some serious damage in our world. I'm taking Pinkie and Yang with me to handle this."
"But... what about the garage?" Scootaloo asked.
"AIVA will work on repairing the damage done to the garage." Spyro replied. "Once she's done enough to repair the garage, she'll bring us back. Until then, we'll be stuck in the digital world."
"Well, alright then." Applejack said. "But please take care of yerself love."
"Don't worry AJ, we'll be alright." Spyro said, walking over and giving her a kiss ont he forehead. "We'll be back soon."
Spyro and Applejack kissed one more time before he went over to the digitizing stations, entering one of the tubes as Yang and Pinkie entered the other two tubes and they closed, glowing a bit as it sent them into the Grid, Spyro appearing in the pit wearing the armor from his last trip into the Grid and behind him was Pinkie, wearing a ponyfied version of the armor, pink in color while Yang was wearing the same armor, but it was yellow in color, both looking at their armor as they looked around.
"Uh, where are we?" Yang asked.
"This is known as the Pit." Spyro replied. "It's basically a jail cell in the Grid. Looks like we got sent here by mistake."
"So, where do we go from here?" Yang asked.
A second later, they heard an explosion above them, looking out the window, Spyro could see a battle going on above them and saw flames and more explosions going on above them, pulling his head back in and walking to the stairs.
"We go up." Spyro replied. "ANd by the look and sound of it, someone's started the party without us."
"WHAT!?" Pinkie shouted. "AND WE DIDN'T GET AN INVITATION!?"
She then zipped past Spyro and Yang, leaving behind a trail of fire while Spyro and Yang looked at the trail, looking at one another, wondering how she did that. Meanwhile in the upper levels, Tron was doing his best to fight off Xana's minions, tossing his disks at the flying creatures while avoiding getting hit while Pomni and Ragatha were hiding behind a wall, Jax hiding behind the table that Caine was on, keeping his head down as the flying monsters were firing.
"Jax, get Caine and run!" Ragatha shouted.
"Are you crazy!?" Jax shouted back. "I'll get shot!"
"You know if they hit that thing, it'll blow you up, right!?" Pomni asked.
Immediately Jax got Caine off the table and ran for the exit right as the table did get hit and exploded, forcing the two women to hide behind the rubble while jax got thrown off, both he and Caine hitting the ground hard as Tron kept up the fight. However, as he did, a massive jellyfish type of creature rose up, looking around to find something as it then laid it's eyes on Tron, who was still fighting off the flying creatures, which it raised it's tentacles and shot towards Tron, capturing him and restraining him as two more tentacles were raised.
"Tron!" Pomni shouted.
She tried to run and help, but the flying creatures moved inbetween them and opened fire, forcing Pomni back as another of those Jellyfish creatures appeared, looking at the terrified girl as it reached it's tentacles out to her, attempting to capture her, but before it could get her, a shotgun blast rang out and destroyed two of the tentacles, makign the creature screech in pain and look where the attack came from, Kinger there with his shotgun and not looking happy.
"Keep your slimy tentacles away from my friends!" Kinger shouted.
"Kinger!" Pomni shouted.
He fired again, making the creature retreat, but as it did, several little creatures appeared fromt red squared, opening fire on Kinger and forcing him to retreat. Pomni tried to get up, but the creature caught her, the girl struggling to free herself as the creature held her.
"Pomni!" Ragatha shouted.
The creature then raised it's tentacles and placed two fo them on the sides of her head, red light coming from the tentacles as lights moved from her head into the creature as if it were looking for something, the same thing happening to Tron as the creature sifted through his memories, looking for something inparticular. However, before they could find anything, a pink blur zipped by and sliced the tentacles off the creature, freeing Pomni while it screeched in pain again while the blur sliced the second creatures tentacles off, making it back away and drop Tron. The flying creatures then turned and started to fire at the blur right as the smaller creatures turned, but then a wave of fire flooded the room, causing the smaller creatures to screech as they exploded, the flying creatures turning again only for Yang to shoot up the side of the wall and punch one of the flying creatures, destroyng it in an instant as Spyro rushed in with his puplr lightsaber ignited, deflecting a couple of shots back to the flying creatures and destroying them.
"Aw, is that all?" Spyro asked as he watched the jellyfish creatures retreated. "And we had just gotten here."
"GET BACK HERE NOW!" Pinkie shouted. "WE WANT AN INVITE!"
"Pinkie, let it go." Spyro said, scratching her behind the ear. "It's not worth it."
"Spyro!" Ragatha said, coming out from behind the rubble.
"Ragatha." Spyro said. "You ok?"
"I'm fine." Ragatha replied.
"We're all good." Jax said, bringing Caine back in. "Shaken, but good."
"I too am still functioning." Tron said, getting up. "But those things, they were trying to find the codes to allow them to take control of the defense system in Radiant Garden. They almost got them."
"Xana was also trying to take control of my garage back in Equestria." Spyro said.
"Xana?" Tron asked. "Oh no, then he knows of the other worlds."
"Unfortunately." Spyro replied. "And now that he knows, we have no choice."
"What do you mean no choice?" Yang asked.
"Whenever there is a threat that is world ending attempting to break out of it's world and do damage to other worlds, it's the princes duty to stop that threat." Spyro replied. "And there are two methods of doing such. By either sealing that world away where the threat cannot get out, or by permanently erasing that world completely, no matter whose on it, friend or foe."
The entire room was dead silent, everyone starring at Spyro with a mixture of shock and horror after hearing that the Prince of Light and Darkness would have the power to erase any world they desired, feeling their hearts stop and their blood freeze.
"And... have you erased a world before?" Pomni asked.
"Thanksfully no." Spyro replied, relieving them. "But I have sealed one away. At least until the threat has been taken care of naturally by that worlds inhabitants."
"And what world is that?" Yang asked.
"Let's just say it's one that gave me nightmares when I was a kid." Spyro replied.
"So how does sealing a world work?" Jax asked.
"Well, it works similar to locking the Keyhole, except it's blocking all of the pathways into and out of that world." Spyro replied. "The threat on the world I sealed had discovered the existence of worlds beyond it's own. And the worst part was, it steals children." That's when everyone felt a chill run down their spine, feeling cold all of a sudden as Spyro walked to the ledge of the open hole, looking out into the Grid. "It already took three children from it's own world, what it does is anybody's guess, but after it discovered the other worlds, I had to seal that world away until the threat was destroyed."
"So, it can't get out, right?" Yang asked.
"No, it won't be able to do anything beyond it's own world." Spyro replied. "But when a world is sealed, it creates a key that has to be used in order for the pathways to be reopened."
"And where's the key for that world?" Ragatha asked.
"It's in a section of my garage, very well hidden." Spyro replied, turning to them. "The best place to hide something is in plain sight. But we're getting off topic here. Tron, how did Xana find it's way into the Grid?"
"I have no idea." Tron replied. "But that's not the worst of it. Xana is already starting to spread across the Grid. I think it's trying to locate ways into other worlds that have technology."
"Such as the Marvel worlds and the worlds in the Star Wars verse." Spyro said. "If Xana finds those worlds, then we're really in trouble."
"Then we don't have time to waste." Yang said. "How do we get there?"
"We have some spare Light Cyles you could use." Tron said. "But finding Lyoko is next to impossible. Especially with Xana attacking us. He knows how to cover his tracks."
"And that's not the worst part." Ragatha said. "Those things caught and tried to look for something in Pomni's head as well."
"Yeah, almost like it was looking for something." Pomni said.
The revilation left Spyro with some questions, wrapping his finger around his chin to think about why Xana would go after Pomni when they heard something behind them, Spyro getting his saber out for another attack when Crashbug appeared, popping it's head out and looking at them.
"Crashbug!" The bug said.
"Crashbug?" Spyro asked, deactivating his saber. "What are you doing here?"
"Crash, crash!" The bug said. "Bugga-bugga-bugga-bugga-bugga!"
"You found Lyoko!?" Spyro asked.
"Crashbug!" The bug said, using it's bomb hand to give a thumbs up.
"Nice work!" Spyro said. "Lead the way, we'll follow." The bug then leapt off the side of the building and fell to the ground, the team running to the hangar to get the cycles when Spyro stopped and turned to Tron. "Tron, try and figure out why Xana attacked Pomni, we'll see about stopping him."
"Alright, but becareful." Tron said. "Xana is know for setting up traps."
"Don't worry, we'll be alright." Spyro replied. "This isn't exactly my first rodeo."
The three of them ran towards the hangar bat where the Light Cycles were waiting for them, everyone hopping on, though Pinkie had some trouble keeping her balance on it, they sped off along the data stream where the Crashbug was waiting for them, the little bug flying in the direction of where Lyoko was at so they could enter. Meanwhile in another world, a group of four kids were hanging out in the library, one kid with a blue shirt and glasses with blonde hair was reading a book while a couple more boys were playing their own version of ping pong with books for a net, one of the boys had blonde and purple hair, wearing all purple with a dog on his shirt while the other boy had brown hair and was wearing a green jacket and green pants with a tan shirt. The fourth member of the group was a girl with black hair and wearing all black clothing, looking at the book and studying everything.
"So Jeremie, how's the program going for Aelita?" The boy in purple asked. "Made any progress?"
"Not yet Odd." Jeremie replied. "Everytime I get close to figuring it out, something goes wrong. It's frustrating."
"Aw, don't worry Jeremie." The girl said. "I'm sure you'll figure it out."
"Yumi's right Einstein." Odd said. "If anyone can figure it out, it's you."
"You got that right." The boy in the green jacket said. "Speaking of which, has Xana been a bit too quiet for you guys recently?"
"Now that you mention it Ulric, Xana has been unusually quiet as of late." Jeremie said, pulling out a computer. He then turned it on and typed in a few commands as a screen popped up, in it was a girl with pink hair looking at him. "Hey Aelita, has there been any activity in Lyoko as of late?"
"Now that you mention it Jeremie, Xana has been pretty quiet as of late." Aelita replied. "Not sure what he's up to, but it can't be good."
"Think you can find out if there's an activated tower?" Jeremie asked.
"I'll see what I can find." Aelita replied.
"Odd, Ulric, Yumi, we better get you in there before Xana sends his monsters after her." Jeremie said.
The three of them nodded as they left the library, heading for the sewer system that runs underneath the school to get to the factory where their set up was at. Meanwhile in Lyoko, Aelita was walking out of the tower she was in, looking around as she saw little red pings appear on the ground, following them in another direction, running after it.
"Jeremie, you're right, another tower has been activated." Aelita said. "The pings are extremely strong this time. I think we're dealing with more than one this time."
"That's not good." Jeremie said, reaching the main computer. "Let me check." He then typed in a couple of commands as it pulled up Lyoko, a red line coming from the section that looked like a desert. "No Aelita, it looks like we're only dealing with one tower. But... there's something different about this attack. It's not directed at us this time."
"Then where is it directed at?" Yumi asked.
"Doesn't matter where it's going, all that matters is we stop Xana." Ulric said.
"The activated tower is in the desert region." Jeremie said. "And there's a high concentration of Xana's monsters there. Be careful in there. You too Aelita."
"Don't worry Jeremie, we've got this." Odd said.
The three of them got back into the elevator and went down into the room with all of the scanners, the three of them entering the scanners as they closed, the machines then scanned them and were immediatly transported into Lyoko, landing in the desert region with Ulric looking a bit like a ninja with a sword and a bandana on his head, Yumi wearing something that closeley resembled a Kimono with a single fan for a weapon and Odd looked like he was wearing an animal suit with cat like claws, an acutal functioning tail, but no visible weapon.
"Jeremie, we made it." Ulric said. "Now where's the tower?"
"It's east." Jeremie replied. "About thirty meters away. And there are a lot of monsters there." A moment later, multiple signals from the monsters went out. "Wait hold on, several of Xana's monsters got destroyed." A moment later, a card appeared with a question mark on it. "Wait, there's someone else already in Lyoko!"
"Wait, someone else is in here?" Ulric asked. "How's that possible?"
"No time to figure it out." Jeremie replied. "Better get going, Aelita will meet you there."
The three of them ran in the direction of the tower to clear it out when Aelita arrived to deactivate the tower and end Xana's plan before he could carry it out. Meanwhile in the Grid, Spyro, Yang, and Pinkie were following the little virus in the direction of Lyoko, going past several more of Xana's monsters as they attacked the grid and made there way towards other locations to attack more worlds before being intercepted by the Grids automated defenses.
"Geez, there's more action here than there was in Remnant." Yang said.
"Believe me, you hang around us for long enough, you'll find out that we don't run short on adventures." Spyro said.
"And cake!" Pinkie shouted, pulling out a chocolate cake. "Which reminds me, what kind of cake do you like Yang? I wanna have one ready for your party I'm planning back in Equestria!"
"Seriously?" Yang asked, looking to Spyro. "You're friends weren't kidding when they said she likes to throw partied."
"Believe me, if there's one thing you can count on, it's Pinkie to throw a banger of a party." Spyro replied, keeping his eye on the path. As they drove, they spotted a glowing white dome with what appeared to be a desert in it. "There it is, Lyoko!"
"Huh, thought it's be a bit more life like." Yang said.
"Wee, we're here!" Pinkie said.
"Everyone, full steam ahead!" Spyro shouted. "Go as fast as you can! We need to bust through the barrier to get into Lyoko! You girls ready!?"
"Ready!" Yang and Pinkie said at the same time.
The bikes then went faster and faster, moving with as much speed as they could muster before reaching the barrier, time slowing down as they reached the barrier, but instead of crashing, the bikes passed through the barrier, landing on the desert ground, the three of them riding for a moment before stopping and looking around to see the floating chunks of earth in the air and mechanical cables and vines going in and out of the ground, some pulsating with red light as they looked.
"We made it." Spyro said, looking around. "We're in Lyoko."
"Uh Spyro..." Pinkie said. Spyro turned around and saw that Pinkie was in human form, but her outfit looked like she was made out of candy, wearing a bakers outfit with candy and desserts all over her with her hair still being poofy, but done in a ponytail while Yang was wearing some Samuri armor without the helmet, still wearing her gauntlets as she examined herself. "What just happened to me?"
"Looks like you're in human form now." Spyro replied. "Guess even in Lyoko you have to blend in."
"Ulric, Odd, Yumi!" Aelita shouted.
The three of them turned their heads in the direction that Aelita was yelling in, seeing her getting chased by a couple of walking crab like creatures, except they only had four legs and no pincers, six eyes with the bottom three firing lasers at Aelita, who was running for her life before getting hit in the back.
"She's in trouble!" Spyro said.
Without waiting, Spyro revved up the Light Cycle and rode towards the girl, who was recovering after being hit as one of the walkers approached, lifting it's leg to finish her off.
"Aelita!" Jeremie shouted, fearing for her safety. However, a moment later, a new card appeared with another question mark, confusing him. "Wait, another unknown reading?"
Aelita braced to get attacked, but instead, they heard a bike, both looking towards Spyro as his bike shot into the air, jumping up as he released Force Lightning, electrocuting it and sending it into a massive hole, a pillar of light shooting into the sky as the seconde one aimed for Spyro, firing several shots all at once at him, which he got his lightsaber out and deflected the blasts before one of the blasts hit him in the chest, but he didn't feel a thing as he flipped over and threw the blade at the monster and hit the thing in the head, causing it to glitch out a bit before exploding.
"Aw come on, save some for us bud." Yang said, she and Pinkie riding to them.
"Sorry Yang." Spyro said, reaching his hand down and helping Aelita up. "You ok kid?"
"Yeah, I'm alright." Aelita replied. "Thanks. But, who are you?"
"I'm Spyro." Spyro replied. "This is Yang and Pinkie."
"Hi!" Pinkie said.
"Hello." Aelita replied.
"Aelita, heads up, you got multiple monstrs heading your way." Jeremie said.
A second later, several of the cube monsters and the flying bug things appeared, surrounding them.
"Well, looks like we got some more friends for the party." Spyro said.
"SERIOUSLY!?" Pinkie asked, pulling out some invitations. "I just had these made! Should I send them out!?"
"He wasn't serious about the party." Yang said, looking happy as she held up her arms. "But it looks like we're about to have some fun."
A moment later, the cubes opened fire, but Spyro just smiled, flipping over and spinning around as the bugs fired at him, landing on one of the lasers and running up it before calling his Keyblade, dual weilding it with his Lightsaber as be rushed the fliers. Meanwhile Yang was running to a couple of cubes who were firing at her, but she used her gauntlets to send herself into the air as her hair turned to yellow flames, turning around and punching one of the cubes before releasing a shotgun blast, destroyiung it in an instant while getting hit by the other cube, skidding across the ground as it approached, but then the party cannon appeared in front of it and Pinkie pulled the cord, blasting it backwards while giggling. Spyro however was slashing at one of the hornets, destorying it before dodging in midair as he released a storm of eletricity, destroying the other two before slamming into the ground and releasing a shockwave that threw the cubes away, giving Yang a chance to get back up, dodging another attack before yelling in rage, her eyes turning red as she bust through several cubes all at once, surrpising everyone as she tore through them.
"Geez, and I thought I had anger issues." Spyro said.
"You get angry?" Pinkie asked.
Yang continued her little rampage, picking a cube up and throwing it at several more, sending them hurtling into the abyss as a large pillar of light shot into the air, having dealt with the last of them.
"Pinkie, I think I found another member for the herd." Spyro said.
"Sorry lover boy, already taken." Yang said.
"Dang it." Spyro said. "Well, plenty more fish in the sea."
"Aelita, you ok?" Jeremie asked.
"Yes Jeremie, I'm fine." Aelita replied.
"Ok, where's that voice coming from?" Yang asked.
"We don;t have time to worry about that now." Spyro replied. "Right now we need to find a way to stop those things from getting back into the Grid and stopping Xana."
"Wait, you know about Xana?" Aelita asked.
"We do." Spyro replied. "He's invaded our home. We're here to stop him."
"Then it's a good thing I ran into you then." Aelita said. "The only way to stop him is to shut down the tower he's activated. Come, I can take you there."
"Lead the way Aelita." Spyro said.
Aelita nodded her head and ran in the direction the activated tower was in, the three of them following her towards the tower to help out however they could. Meanwhile at the tower, Ulric, Odd, and Yumi had arrived at the tower and could see the towering white structure, closer than they had previously thought it would be and swarming with monsters.
"Jeremie, do you hear me?" Ulric asked.
"I'm here." Jeremie replied. "What does it look like?"
"Well, the entire thing is swarming with monsters." Ulric replied. "We got Cubes, Krabs, a few Hornets, Xana really doesn't want this tower to be deactivated."
"Hang tight, Aelita is on her way." Jeremie replied. "And she's picked up a few new friends."
"New friends?" Odd asked. "They friendly?"
"They oughta be, they saved Aelita from some of Xana's monsters." Jeremie replied, looking at the monitor and seeing some new readings. "Speaking of which, you got some company coming in from behind."
The group turned around and saw a few more Cubes coming towards them, standing there as the group got ready.
"Ah, my favorite monster." Odd said, lifting his arm up. "Cubes."
"Let's take these things out quickly." Ulric said, drawing his sword. "Aelita will be here soon."
"But what about all the monsters near the tower?" Yumi asked.
"Hopefully Aelita's new friends can keep her safe." Ulric replied.
The cubes then started to open fire, Ulric using his sword to deflect the bolts back towards the cubes while Odd flipping over and avoiding the attacks while pointing his arm at the cubes, firing some arrows from his wrist and hitting a couple of them before getting hit in the chest, flying backwards into a rock as Yumi threw her fan, the piece of paper spinning around as it lit up, cutting through another cube before being blasted int he chest herself, falling to the ground as Ulric did his best to stop the attacks, but then got peppered by the attacks, falling to the ground as the cubes got closer.
"Oh no, Ulric, Odd, Yumi!" Jeremie shouted, fearing for his friends. However a moment later, he picked up a new reading, seeing the previous card that had a questiuon mark on it reappeared. "What the...?"
As the Cubes were getting ready to fire on the group when they heard a loud bang and one of the Cubes got obliuterated, two of them looking art their fallen comrade before thety both got blasted, the group confused about who it was that saved them when Ruby leapt over, firing a couple more rounds at the Cubes when she turned into a gust of rose petals, avoiding the attack before changing her rifle into a war scythe, striking the eye in the center of the cube, pulling it out and leaping backwards to avoid the explosion that followed suit, looking back to the group and smiling.
"You need a hand?" Ruby asked.
"Hey, the more the merrier." Odd replied. "Thanks for the assist."
"No problem." Ruby replied. "I'm Ruby by the way. This is Urlic and Yumi. Say, how'd you get into Lyoko in the first place?"
"Odd, now's not the time to flirt." Jeremie said, making Ruby look around. "You got a couple of Megatanks heading your way."
Ruby turned around and saw a couple of fast rolling balls heading towards them, getting ready to fight, but then they then turned away from them, heading in a completely different direction.
"Wait, why'd they leave us alone?" Yumi asked.
"Yeah, that's kinda weird." Odd said. "Where are they going?"
Meanwhile on the otherside of the ravine the tower was near, Spyr and Aelita had just arrived at the site while Pinkie and Yang ran up after them to catch uyp when they saw the tower and all the monsters around it, making Aelita worry as she backed away.
"There are so many." Aelita said. "How are we going to get to the tower with all those monsters there?"
"I have one idea." Spyro replied, spreading his wings as he smiled. "Leave it to me."
"Aelita, heads up, you got a couple of Megatanks heading your way!" Jeremie said. The four of them looked to the tower and saw the two Megatanks that diverted away from Ulric and his team and head straight for them, stopping just as the ridge of the ravine, which several more eyes appeared around the center of the balls before one fo them opened up, revealing another eye with a bunch of fleshy stuff in it, which would have made anyone sick, but it's eye then charged up and fired a massive laser towardd them, but Spyro just smiled, grabbing the laser and holding it like it was nothing, surprising everyone, even Jeremie as he looked at his screen. "I don't believe it!"
"Wow, how the heck are you doing that!?" Yang asked.
"Believe me, I'm full of surprises." Spyro replied. He then redirected the large laser away, but the second tank landed a hit, sending him flying backwards, but he landed on his feet, scowling at the tanks.
"But... how?" Jeremie asked, Spyro's card pulling up. "He didn't loose any life points!"
"So, you punks want to fight huh?" Spyro asked. He then reached out with the Force, lifting both of the tanks up and over the ravine. "Too bad for you I'm not in the mood for a fair fight."
He then dropped the tanks down the ravine, which they exploded and got the other monsters attention, turning to them as several hornets flew towards them.
"Oh no, they're coming!" Aelita said.
Spyro flared his wings and took off towards the Hornets, activating not only his primary lightsaber, but the Inquisitors saber as well, holding the spinning blade in his left hand as the Hornets fired at him, deflecting the blasts into different directions before spinning around and slicing through the four hornets with a single slice. He then flew through the remainder of the hornets and made it to the center of the group, which they all started to fire upon him, but he just smiled as the hits were absorbed by his armor, glowing as it absorbed all of the kinatic energy, but then the air around them started to feel cold, everyone able to see their breath as spikes made of ice appeared, creating a spiky ball that spun around, spinning faster and faster as Xana's monsters tried to destroy the ball of ice, but it then exploded, the spikes going in all directions and through some of the monsters, leaving behind lots of ice and destruction, freezing many of the monsters as they crashed to the ground, shattering all at once as Ulric and his team watched the blizzard fly before it ended.
"What just happened?" Yumi asked.
"No idea." Ulric replied. "Jeremie, what's with the sudden blizzard?"
"That's coming from one of Aelita's new friends." Jeremie replied. "Looks like he can grow wings and manipulate the elements."
"Wow, that's amazing." Odd said. "Hey, let's go meet them."
At the tower, Spyro was levitating down after using a fury attack, which he collapsed onto his knees after spending so much energy all at once as Aelita did something to create a bridge made entirely out of stone, running to him as he got back up.
"Hey Spyro, you ok?" Aelita asked.
"Yeah, I'm good." Spyro replied. "Haven't done one of those in a while. Guess it was a bit of a wake up call."
"Wake up call nothing." Yang said. "That there was a grab you by the throat and swing you around kind of thing you did there."
"Aelita!" Ulric shouted, he and his team running to them.
However, when the two teams were in view of one another, Ruby and Yang saw one another, both freezing and in complete shock when they saw one another again after being seperated.
"Aelita, you ok?" Odd asked.
"I'm fine." Aelita replied. "Thanks to Spyro."
"Who?" Yumi asked.
"That would be me." Spyro replied, walking forward. "I'm Spyro. And this is Pinkie Pie and Yang."
"Well, nice to meet you." Yumi said. "I'm Yumi. And this is Ulric, Odd, and-"
"Yang!" Ruby shouted, running to her.
"Ruby!" Yang shouted back.
The two sisters then hugged one another, happy to see each other again after being seperated, hugging one another tightly.
"Uh, you two know each other?" Odd asked.
"Yeah, we do." Yang replied. "Ruby's my little sister."
"Oh, so she's Ruby." Spyro said. "Huh, I can see the resemblance. But why is Ruby's eyes silver while yours are lilac?"
"Well, we each have a different mother." Yang replied. "We're half sisters."
"Oh, that makes sense." Spyro said, looking to the tower. "So, how do we deactivate this thing?"
"Leave that to me." Aelita replied.
She walked towards the tower, entering it as a wave of white light rippled across the surface of the tower, spooking them for a moment before looking to the group of kids, wondering how she did that, but they shrugged their shoulders. Inside of the tower, Aelita was walking to the center of the tower where the rings glowed as she walked over them, reaching the center where she was then pulled into the air and to another platform, walking to the center of the platform where a screen popped up, placing bher hand on the screen where it scanned her hand, recognizing her as her name popped up on the screen before asking for a code, which the code was Lyoko. As the code was inputed, the monsters that were in the grid were then frozen to the spot, returning to the tower where everything around Aelita fell into the darkness below before a wave of light shot out of the tower, enveloping everyone as Jemerie pushed the enter key.
"Return to the past now." Jeremie said.
As the light enveloped them all, Spyro opened his eyes, half expecting to be back in Equestria, but instead he found himself in the middle of a grassfield surrounded by trees, lookign down to see he was still in his human form before looking around and finding the rest of his friends on the ground.
"Girls, you ok?" Spyro asked, shaking Pinkie. "Pinkie, you ok party animal?"
Pinkie stirred a bit, yawning as she opened her eyes, seeing Spyro still in his human form and sat up.
"Spyro?" Pinkie asked, looking at herself. "I'm... still a human?" She then looked around, seeing they weren't in Equestria. "Uh, where are we?"
"I'm not sure." Spyro replied, looking around. "From the data I collected about Lyoko, when a tower is deactivated and the program in this world reverses time to a specific point in the past. We should be back in Equestria, but we aren't."
"So why aren't we back in Equestria?" Pinkie asked.
"I don't know." Spyro replied. "Each world has it's own set of rules. Guess since we're in this world, we're abiding by it's rules."
They then heard Yang and Ruby stir, looking over to the two sisters as they sat up, Ruby shaking her head as she looked to yang, who was also awake and hugged her.
"Oh Yang!" Ruby said. "I'm glad I wasn't imagining things."
"You thought I was a hallucination?" Yang asked, playfully punching her sister in the shoulder. "Thanks alot sis."
They then heard someone shouting, looking over to see a school in the distance with a bunch of kids just getting out of class, some hanging around with friends, some running after another to get revenge for a prank or a joke, a basic school for teenagers.
"Oh wow, we're at a school!" Pinkie exclaimed excitedly. "Uh, why are we at a school?"
"Beats me." Spyro replied. "But I'm telling you one thing, I ain't going back."
"Hey wait up Odd!" Ulric shouted.
The group looked over and saw Ulric and Odd running for the vending machines, the blode haired kid putting in his money to get something.
"Let's see, coffee, soup, eugh tastes like moldy gym socks with Limburger cheese." Odd said.
"And that's our Odd, the connoisseur" Ulric said, looking around when he spotted Spyro and his friends, his eyes widening his he saw them. "I don't believe it."
"You can say that again." Odd said, bringing over a glass of steaming soup. "The soups actually warm this time." He then looked in the direction Ulric was looking, his mouth dropping open as he dropped his glass. "Wait, what?"
"Hey Ulric, Odd." Spyro said, the group stopping in front of them. "Good to see you again."
"Wait, you... you remember?" Ulric asked, smacking his head. "Of course he remembers. They were literally in Lyoko and those who went to Lyoko can remember."
"Hey, come on Ulric, we could use the extra help." Odd said. "Welcome to Kadic Academy, the one dump you really don't want to be stuck in. So, how did you like being in Lyoko?"
"Well, it was something." Yang replied. "Though if Spyro hadn't done that, whatever it was, I'd have been much happier."
"It's called a fury attack." Spyro said. "It's when a dragon stores up enough magical energy inside of themselves and unleashes it, it will release a wave of destructive magic that nothing except the caster could survive. What i did was an ice fury, which as you saw, stopped them cold in their tracks."
They all then started to laugh at Spyro's pun, enjoying the peace as they had a merry time.
"Oh great, more loosers." A girls voice said. They all looked over and saw a dark haired girl wearing a pink tp shirt with a yellow heart, a maroon skirt and skinny jeans stand there, her arms crossed as she leered at them. "Seriously Ulric, you need to have some friends who are much better for you."
"Well that definetly excludes you now doesn't it Sissi?" Odd asked.
"It's against the rules to have guests on school grounds without permission." Sissi said, leering at them. "Especially weirdo's with hair and clothing like that."
"What did you say you little brat!?" Yang asked, wanting to lung for her, but Ruby and Spyro stopped her, holding her back.
"Yang, let it go." Spyro said, looking at the kid. "You'd be sent to jail if you attacked a minor. Besides, snottiness and ugliness is contagious this time of year, wouldn't you say guys?"
They all laughed again, Sissi looking extremely annoyed as she walked away, leaving the group behind at the vending machine.
"Say, how about we go see Jeremie and Aelita." Odd suggested. "Hopefully Jeremie found a way to bring Aelita out of Lyoko so we can shut that thing down for good."
"Wait, your friend's working on a program to do what?" Spyro asked.
"To materialize Aelita and bring her into our world." Odd replied. "Been working on it for a year now, with no success."
Spyro felt his heart lift, looking at Pinkie who shrugged her shoulders before looking at them.
"Well, maybe I could help out." Spyro said, surprising them. "I'm a tech genius myself, so maybe I can help out with finishing the program."
"Hey, that's a great idea." Pinkie said. "After all, you did build your own hover bike thingy."
"You built a hover bike!?" Ulric asked.
"I did, but had to destroy it thanks to Xana." Spyro replied.
"Wow, anybody who can build something like that should be more than qualified to help us bring Aelita out of Lyoko!" Odd said. "Come on, let's get going!"
The group ran after the two of them to get to their friend Jeremie's room to talk with him and see what they could do to help them. Meanwhile in Lyoko, Xana's monsters were moving in the forest area, a couple of the Cubes moving to a tower when they turned around, seeing a figure approached and charged their lasers, but when the figure got closer, it was revealed to be Aphara, the cubes standing down as she approached.
"It seems you failed to get what you needed from your targets." Aphara said as the cubes looked at her. "And not the prince and his friends are here. This will make things difficult for both of us. Still, think you can find us the coordinates to the three worlds we need?"
"I can find them." Xana said, using one of the cubes to talk. "But the coordinates that were in the tower I activated had moved after it was deactivated."
"Moved?" Aphara asked. "Moved to where?"
"Unknown." Xana replied. "But then again, they probably moved somewhere they wouldn't be found so easily."
"Hmm, then we'll need to keep looking." Aphara said. "In the meantime, I'll talk with my master and find another means of getting your monsters back into the Grid and into Equestria. Believe me, the energies there could make your monsters invincible."
"In that case, I would need a means to get into that world." Xana said. "You're prince purged his facility to destroy my virus."
"He never misses a beat." Aphara said. "In that case, you could find the codes in Spyro's mind. But what do you ned that clown girl for? She's a nobody."
"She has something that I could use to bring my monsters into the real world." Xana replied. "Don't worry Aphara, once I have what I need, you'll have what you need."
Xana's cubes then walked away, leaving Aphara alone next to the tower as they continued their patrol. Meanwhile in the real world, Jeremie was on his computer working with Aelita on trying to perfect the program, but when he tried to initiate the program, it popped up as a failure, frustrating the kid.
"Oh, that's the fifth program this month." Jeremie said. "I've tried almost everything."
"Don't worry Jeremie, you'll get it eventually." Aelita said. "I don't mind staying here a little longer."
"Hey, are your new friends there?" Jeremie asked.
"No, they're not here on Lyoko." Aelita replied. "They might be back on your world."
"Now that's what I call being Meta." Spyro said, the group walking in.
"Oh, you're here?" Jeremie asked.
"Yeah, we are." Spyro replied.
"Guess what Einstein." Odd said. "Spyro here's super smart like you. He could help you with the program to bring Aelita into the real world."
"Wait, you mean it!?" Jeremie asked.
"Sure, why not?" Spyro asked. "What do you have so far?"
"Well, I've been trying to do everything I could to bring Aelita into the real world, but every program I launch turns out to be a failure. I can't understand why."
"Hmm, let me have a look at what you have." Spyro said. Jeremie got out of his chair and allowed Spyro to sit in it, looking at the program that Jeremie had and found the problem. "Ah, there's your problem. You don't have a DNA sequence code."
"A what?" Ulric asked.
"A DNA sequence code." Spyro replied. "It besically defines the molecular structure of-"
"Alright, we get it." Ulric said. "Is there a way to get her one?"
"Well, it's possible to make one from scratch since she... wait a second." Spyro said, looking at the scan in shock. "I don't believe it."
"Don't believe what?" Yang asked, Spyro turning to them.
"The information that your scans acquired show fragments of a DNA sequence code for Aelita." Spyro replied.
"Say what!?" Jeremie asked. "So that means-"
"It means she was once human at one time and it means if we can repair the code, Aelita can come into your world." Spyro said. "But that's going to be tricky as we don't have exactly what we need to reconstruct one." A moment later, someone was contacting him through his bracers, answering the call as Tron popped up on his holo-screen. "Hey Tron, what's going on?"
"Spyro, it's the most amazing thing." Tron said. "All of Xana's monsters have disappeared from the Grid."
"You can thank Aelita for that." Spyro replied.
"Aelita?" Tron asked, looking to his left and seeing her wave at him. "Oh, hello there. My name is Tron."
"I'm Aelita." She replied. "Nice to meet you."
"Wow, that's so cool." Odd said. "Another AI guy?"
"Yeah, this is Tron." Spyro replied. "He's from another world, just like myself and my friends are."
"Wait, you're all from another world?" Jeremie asked.
"Wow wait, you guys are aliens or something!?" Yumi asked.
"Well, not exactly." Spyro replied. "I come from Earth, but an alternative version of it. Pinkie's an Earth Pony that comes from a world called Equestria. Yang and Ruby, they're from a world called Remnant. We came here to stop Xana after he attacked us in Equestria and attacked my friends back in the Grid."
"Wait, so Xana's attack was directed at you guys?" Ulric asked.
"Huh, kinda nice to not be the targets this time." Odd said.
"Yeah, except he attacked Tron to get access codes that would allow him into all worlds with technology." Spyro said. "All the worlds don't know of one another's existence except for a select few. Which now includes Xana."
"So what's wrong with Xana knowing about these other worlds?" Odd asked.
"Many of them have technology that he could take over." Spyro replied. "Some of which can destroy entire worlds and solar systems. Which I'm worried about one system in particular with a very dangerous weapon."
"What kind of weapon is it?" Yumi asked.
"Nothing for you to worry about." Spyro replied. "It hasn't been built or finished yet, so there's nothing to worry about. Speaking of worry, Tron, did you figure out why Xana attacked Pomni?"
"Actually yes, I figured it out." Tron replied. "And you're not going to believe it."
A moment later, a scan of Pomni popped up, revealing her in a bunch of codes and schematics, but then a second box popped up, revealing to Spyro and everyone else multiple DNA Helix's, which made Spyro's eyes widen.
"I don't believe it." Spyro said. "Is that... an intact DNA sequence code!?"
"No way!" Jeremie asked, looking at the screen. "I can't believe it!"
"Indeed, it was a complete shock to me as well." Tron replied. "But it does give us the purpose for why that jellyfish like monster attacked Pomni. It was trying to either copy or steal her code so he could possibly copy it and give his minions a direct route into the real world."
"So that was his plan." Spyro said. "He not only wanted the access codes to all the worlds with technology in it, but also to make his monsters flesh and blood, destroying everyone and everything in their path."
"Exactly." Tron said. "But thankfully, you managed to stop them before they could get Xana what he needed."
"Yeah, but there's a very high likely hood he'll try again." Spyro said. "And I don't know if I can stop him a second time if he decided to attack."
"Don't worry about it bud." Jeremie said. "Now that we deactivated Xana's tower, he won't be able to do the same thing a second time. Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to work bringing Aelita into the real world so we can shut down the super computer and get rid of Xana once and for all."
"Wait, yu're trying to bring Aelita to the real world?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah, and once we do, we can shut down Xana and bring an end to this madness." Ulric said. "And we can live normal lives again. No more monsters, no more Xana."
Spyro thought it over for a moment, looking at the sequence code that Tron had sent him before looking to Aelita, thinking about something before looking back at Tron.
"Tron, is it possible to create a template of this DNA Sequence code and work on making one from scratch for Aelita?" Spyro asked.
"In theory, yes." Tron replied. "Making one from scratch will be challenging, but it's possible. But since she was human once before and there are still fragments of her old code, it'll be easier to reconstruct her code than to make one from scratch."
"Excellent." Spyro said, looking to Aelita. "Don't worry Aelita, I'll help Jeremie with recreating your code and we'll get you out of Lyoko."
"You really mean it!?" Aelita asked excitedly.
"Count on it." Spyro replied. A moment later, he recieved a call from Master Yen Sid, seeing his image appearing before turning away. "I need to get this. I'll be back shortly."
Spyro then walked out of the room, leaving everyone alone while Yang and Ruby looked at one another, not understanding what was going on while Pinkie rocked back and forth excitedly.
"So, tell us, what's it like back at your home?" Odd asked.
Outside in the hall, Spyro was filling Master Yen Sid in on what had happened in Equestria and how dangerous Xana was, the wizard stroking his beard as he listened to every word Spyro was saying as he gave his report.
"And that's the gist of it sir." Spyro said. "If Xana get's the codes from Tron and steals Pomni's DNA Sequence Code, he can spawn his little creatures in any world he wants."
"Hmm, this is very disturbing my young prince." Yen Sid said. "If Xana succeeds, then it will be all out chaos."
"I calculate the probability of Xana's success to be 82%." Tron said. "But with Spyro and his friends now involved and with the idea of extracting Aelita from Lyoko and shutting it down, I calculate that this plan will have a 98% chance of success."
"The odds are in our favor sir." Spyro said. "I need to do this."
"Hmm, very well Spyro." Yen Sid said. "You will have your chance. But if Xana finds a way to succeed, you know what you must do."
"I do know sir." Spyro replied. "And I hope it doesn't come to either option." Yen Sid nodded his head, his screen disappearing as Spyro looked back to Tron. "Tron, you need to protect not only yourself, but also Pomni. If Xana does attempt another attack, I want you guys to remain safe. Use whatever kind fo defense you can muster, even taking defenses from games to protect yourself, I don't care what it takes, protect yourselves."
"I will do as you said." Tron replied. "Be safe my friend."
"You too Tron." Spyro replied.
The call then ended and Spyro deactivated his bracers, walking back in as Ulric and Odd walked out.
"Hey bud, we're heading to dinner now." Odd said. "Yumi's going home to eat. What will you guys do?"
"We'll think of something." Spyro said, looking to the computer. "Well, I'll think of something. Girl, why don't you go out and get something to eat. I'll stay here and help Jeremie with reconstructing Aelita's code."
"You sure?" Yang asked.
"Don't worry about me Yang." Spyro said. "You get your sister something to eat. I can hear her stomach growling from here."
A second later, her stomach literally did growl, Ruby covering it with one of her hands and gave a nervous chuckle while Yang just smiled and shook her head at her sister.
"Alright, we'll go." Yang said. "But what will we do for money? I doubt our cash is accepted in this place?"
"Here." Spyro said, handing them some cash. "I always make sure I have cash for every world I visit. But in this case, regular human currency is accepted here. Go on, my treat."
Yang smiled and nodded, walking away with her sister and Pinkie, who gave him a kiss on the cheek before walking out while Spyro went to the computer where Jeremie was working, Spyro nodding at him as he helped the kid work on the sequence code. A while later as they were working on the code during the night, Spyro did have to hide, using his ability to meld into the darkness to hide from the people who would check on the kids to see if they were in their beds or not, working on it throughout the night until morning, which Spyro went through all of the outcomes after working on the code tirelessly. And as soon as he pressed the key to allow the simulation to initiate, he watched with aniticipation as the model of aelita started to disappear, only for it to stop and rebuild itself until it slid to the side and a green plus mark appeared, making him smile.
"Morning Spyro." Jeremie said, waking up and seeing the computer screen. "I don't believe it! You actually did it!"
"Did what?" Aelita asked, her image appearing and looking to the model and the simulation, her eyes widening as she saw it. "I don't believe it!"
"Believe it kids." Spyro said with a smile. "It wasn't easy, but thanks to the DNA Sequence code Tron sent me, it helped to show me what was needed for it to work and to reconstruct your code."
"Does... does that mean...?" Aelita asked.
"Pack your bags and leave the drags." Spyro said. "You're coming to the real world."
Aelita looked excited, beaming with joy as both Spyro and Jeremie smiled at one another, looking to Aelita as she looked excited at the fact she would finally leave Lyoko and end this.
"So, when should we devirtualize myself?" Aelita asked.
"This afternoon." Jeremie replied. "Right after classes. Once done, we can shut down Xana."
"I'll let the girls know." Spyro said. "And once done, Xana won't be much of a threat."
Meanwhile in Lyoko, in the forest sector, Xana was already preparing his next move as another tower in Lyoko went from blue to red, initiating another attack from Xana against the Lyoko Warriors and their new friends.
