Ok, all, let's get started

"Thank you for coming", Diana said as she sat down on her chair within the main atrium of the Watch Tower. The satellite is by far the largest space-faring piece of technology humanity has ever created, while much of its construction was due to the work and time of Cyborg, Kal, Bruce and J'onn. It was still technically a human creation.

When it was first built, she and the rest of the founding members didn't really have meetings in any official sense, but as more and more members joined the League, they felt a need to make more and more of it official. They needed ranks, a hierarchy and a system of control that people could understand. At the time, she didn't get that; she didn't see the need for it. But now, with so many members, thank God that they have this system. Gods only know what they would be like without it.

The first meeting room only fitted the seven of them, but later, when their numbers increased, they decided to make it a more open system. Kal didn't want the heroes to think that the leaders were keeping something from the rest. True, there was only one leader, but the founding seven always had an incredible amount of sway with the rest of the League. Her more than most, mainly due to her marriage to the leader.

Their meetings were held in the open for all to see and listen to if they wanted to. While the table still held seven seats, six now since they were missing Kal. She resisted the urge to let out a sigh as she glanced at his chair. This meeting was no secret, and she wasn't surprised to glance around her and see that it was filled to the brim with what was most likely all members of the League, save for the handful that were working at their stations elsewhere or in the field.

She would guess the low nineties, as a rule, the League never went over a hundred members, as a better means of monitoring and structure. Not to mention making sure they were the true elite, if everyone could join, then the quality would drop dramatically.

The main atrium of the league was a large hall-like room, with a circular table in the dead centre and many levels of raised walkways for others to walk around as a type of crossroads to get to other places within the station. Everyone was looking down at them, a small army of the world's best skilled and most powerful super-powered beings, all ready to hear what they were about to talk about "I know what director Waller has said today in the U.N as I imagine many of you know as well" she looked to the large crowd who all nodded along but no-one spoke.

"I understand that many of you are wondering what our response to that will be. Many of you will be asking why we even need to have one. If the U.N. says so, then we must do it, correct?" Some nodded, others shook their heads, and others didn't do anything. "I am from the party, and we don't need to do anything. The Justice League is what it is because we came together when the world needed us, if we listened to the world governments we would never have the League, we would never have had Superman, Batman or J'onn here" she gestured to the Martian who like many others were looking at her as she spoke "The Justice League is what kept the peace in this world, not by stopping the villains but by being what those in power fear" she announced.

This wasn't the most common knowledge out there but anyone who knows about world governments and how much they've changed since the League was founded would have been able to put two and two together and figure it out "When the League was first founded the U.N all but demanded we serve by their rules, but we didn't. We didn't because both Superman and Batman knew that the second we did, we would serve them and not the people. There is a reason why they have not brought up this discussion since and only do it now because Superman is gone, because when the first Batman died" she looked towards the one sitting on her right, the middle-aged man wearing the black costume of the Batman "We still had Superman to hold the line against those who want to use us against the people because of their political plans and views. If the Justice League disbands, then we lose what makes us the most capable. I assure you that no matter what Director Waller may claim, this is nothing more than a means of control" She took a breath and waited for a moment "I don't like it but while people see us for the heroes we are the governments of the Earth see us as a police force to keep them in check, to make sure their leaders don't grow too ambitious or greedy, to make sure they don't mistreat their people" with that she sat down in her chair, the weight of her words pressing down on everyone present.

J'onn was the next to stand up, all heads were quick to look at him. While it was often discussed that J'onn may just be the most powerful in the League now that Superman is gone. He was most definitely the most out of place, being the only alien present. Not something Diana agreed with, but despite the fact that she was a demigod, being born on Earth seemed to be enough for most people to classify her as human. She and the other members of the League would never and rarely have ever treated him differently because of it, but she knew that it weighed down on him, even if he didn't show it.

"Thank you, Diana," he said and turned to look at everyone else "The Justice League is without a leader and now we are being told to disband because of it, while I and all members of the Seven" he gestured to the other seven sitting down, those being they felt would be the best to take a leading position in the league due to their skill, experience and influence "are of the mind that we shouldn't disband, this is not a dictatorship" he reached forward with his hand and a holographic screen appeared in front of him, he typed a few buttons and Diana felt his pocket vibrate, she looked to her League communicator and saw the notification, at the same time everyone in the chamber and every member of the league both around the Watch Tower and World would get the same one.

"This has taken long enough, now we can do two things. The first is to place your vote for who you believe the next member of the Justice League should be. The second, you can vote to abstain and show your decision to follow the U.N if they do decide to vote for the Leagues disbandment" The pressure and intensity within the room increased a hundredfold "You have three hours to make your choice but I want you to know that no matter what any of you vote for, there will be no ill will against you. You are simply doing what you believe to be right, and that is what any hero should do. He sat down, and the silence in the room had never been louder.

Kon didn't pay much attention to the screaming crowd as he walked away from the lounge and towards the 1 A class box. The weight of his conversation pressed down on him quite a bit. He didn't know why he was so open with her about his past with the Amazons, but in truth, he didn't really care. It just seemed a little odd to him. As he walked, he glanced at the field from above, not being able to see much, but it seemed like the race had ended. he could see people making their way through, looking completely exhausted, but he wasn't really surprised by that. He could make out a couple of people, he could see Ida, Sero, Deku, and Uraraka. Not many others, and he was about to look away when something caught his attention. he frowned and his hands clenched at the sight. Momo was stumbling through the doorway to the field, exhausted and staggering like everyone else, his shirt was open exposing her bra to everyone but what pissed Kon off so much was Mineta hanging off of her back.

'God, what a little shit' he thought to himself as the little pervert jumped off her back and looked like he just won the lottery 'Mental note, kill him later' he added. But he stopped himself before he could make it a couple more steps forward. Why would he? She wasn't his girlfriend, and they weren't together, were they? What right did he have to step in like that? Sure it would be fun to kick the little shit around a little but he didn't want Momo to think he was fighting her battles for her.

For now, it was decided that it would be best to let it go for now. But the problem with that was that now his thoughts were back on his talk with Miriko. It was a heavy conversation, and he just felt so emotionally drained when it was done. He saw the class box and stopped in place, This wasn't the best time to sit with the others. He didn't have it in him to put on a fake smile, so they don't ask questions, and he really didn't have the energy to answer the questions they would ask if he failed that. He needed a break.

He turned to the doors he used to get in and opened them. The same steward as before was there and didn't do more than glance in his direction as he walked by. He wanted a little break, so he planned to work his way outside and get some food. Moving down the twisting corridors of the stadium, it didn't take him long to make his way outside to all the many different markets.

As he started to pass some food stands, he saw one that was U.S.A themed and suddenly felt the urge for a burger, not one with some well-sourced meat and veg that was nutritious, but something covered in grease and fat. Something really unhealthy sounded great right about now.

Moving onto an empty stool, he waited for a moment before the surprisingly American-looking man headed over "What can I get for you?" he asked in Japanese with a little accent.

"What's the most unhealthy burger you have?" he asked in English.

The man's eyes widened for a moment as he heard the language and they widened even more when he realized who he was "Oh….er….. we have a triple bacon burger with cheese fries" he stumbled on his words for a moment "I can add some extra in there, make it really unhealthy if you like" he joked.

Kon found himself smiling "Please", he added, and the man smiled before turning around and speaking to a chief. Kon drowned out what he said and turned his attention to the small TV that was up in the corner of the stand, showing a live feed of the games. It looked like not much was happening at the moment. He didn't know why, but from what he could see, the students were splitting up and forming teams for something. He didn't know what, the line of the text at the bottom that would normally have the scores is now just showing an advert for some skin care products.

"Card or cash?" the man said as he came back over, looking at him a lot more normal now.

"Card", he said as he reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone just as the man held out a machine for him. He tapped it with his phone and waited for a moment.

"Thank you very much, I'll be back with you in a moment," he said as he walked away, though not before he grabbed a couple of empty paper plates from two people sitting nearby and threw them in a bin.

"Do you mind turning this up?" he asked.

"Sure thing, pal", he said as he grabbed a remote and started to turn the volume up.

"After fifteen minutes to prepare their teams and strategies, twelve teams are ready to take to the field and charge head to head", Present Mic said as the camera started to show a close-up image of all the different teams that were spread around the edges of the field.

"I can make out some interesting teams down there" Aizawa added.

Now Kon wished he could have stayed to watch what happened; he'll have to watch the Highlights later, but he planned on keeping a good eye on this event. It looked like most of his class made it into the second round, which was great, good for them. He just felt bad that he missed it.

"Well, this is a fine chance", a deep, smooth, and elegant voice spoke beside him, and Kon turned his head slightly to see a large, well-built man wearing a long brown coat with a backpack that looked full, it had tubes coming out of it that connected to an oxygen mask around the man's mouth. What caught Kon most by surprise is that the man, while bald, lacked eyes or a nose. Instead, his head was just white skin with ears and a mouth, 'must have something to do with his Quirk' he thought to himself "I must say I'm a little starstruck. Kon-El himself, in the flesh. I'm honoured" he said not turning his head to look at him.

Kon looked at him strangely for perhaps a little too long "Err… Hi, nice to meet you," he said and smiled as he saw the man return with his food.

"Enjoy pal" the worker said, dumping the burger in front of him "What can I get for you?" I asked the stranger.

"Oh, just a soda please" he said quickly and pulled out some cash to pay for it.

That didn't even to turn away before pouring him the drink and placing it in front of him "You know me, but I don't know you" Kon said as he took a bite out of his burger, savouring the taste for a little while longer than he should have done.

"I would be surprised if you did, You can call me All for One. It's the name I've gone by for about a decade or so," he explained, taking a sip from his drink.

"All for One, huh? You're naming yourself after your Quirk?" Kon said back as he gave the man another glance.

The man chuckled, "Believe it or not, it's better than the name I was given at birth" he said jokingly, at least Kon hoped he was joking.

"That right?" Kon nodded "Well, what can I do for you?" he asked.

"Oh, nothing at all, I was just enjoying the festival and saw you here. I just couldn't pass up the chance to speak to you. I saw your work at the USJ training facility, I must say it was inspiring to see," he admitted with a sly grin.

Now that got Kon's attention "That's not the reaction I normally get when people see what I did" he commented as he took another bite of his food, the TV becoming more and more forgotten as this man spoke. There was something about him that Kon couldn't put his finger on, and it made him uneasy.

"Most people are short-sighted and don't see what others can truly offer" the man responded "There was a threat against you and your friends; you reacted as anyone else would in that situation. You fought for your life, you lashed out in fear. The only reason people didn't sing your praises is because you succeeded" with his drink in hand, All for One turned in his stool and looked right at Kon "If you died there, then there would be a day of mourning for you and no-one would have batted an eye at the dead you left in your wake"

Kon listened to what he was being told, leaving his food forgotten for a moment, he turned in place and faced the man "What are you getting at?" he asked.

"Why do you think that was?" he asked "Why do you think that the news only showed the bad, the gore and the death, but they didn't show what happened before? Why didn't they show the first attack? You being pinned down and struggling for your life, and your classmates are scattered. Who, by the way, also killed people themselves. Yet the news only talks about you," he listed, looking more and more passionate about what he was saying. It was difficult for Kon to see due to his lack of most of his face and the plastic see-through mask around his mouth, but he could tell that it was there.

But that wasn't what made Kon more on edge "How do you know about that?" he asked, one of his hands clenching into a fist "That news wasn't released to the public" he pointed out.

The man let out another chuckle "I may no longer work in government, but I still have some friends willing to break a couple of rules to call in a favour when I ask them" The man reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a USB drive "This contains some classified information between the Japanese government and Hero Public Safety Commission. Don't try and go public with it, they'll deny, say it's fake and end your career before it starts, not even your friends and family in the League can stop them there"

Kon was quiet for a moment before he reached out and took it, placing it into his pocket "This wasn't a chance meeting, was it?" he asked.

"No, it was not" he confirmed with a smile leaving his face for a moment "But I did need to talk to you"

"Why? Why me?" Kon asked, "Because what? I'm Superman's son, I have some hero legacy that I need to uphold? Because I owe this world my life because people think I need to?" he listed.

"Because of what you will become" he said seriously, leaning forward slightly "Because I noticed what others who watched that video didn't"

"And what's that?" Kon asked back, leaning forward himself. Despite the heavy atmosphere that was around the two as they spoke, there was little in the way of anger pointed at each other.

"The way your power grew" he said, "And no, I don't mean you killing those villains, any one of your classmates could have done that if they had the skills to do it. I'm talking about that monster of theirs, the Numo? That thing was a genetically engineered creature that had multiple Quirks built into it. Based on everything we could tell about it and everything we knew about you, it should have killed you" he reached forward and placed a hand on Kon's shoulder "It should have been able to do it, but not only did you win, you beat it to near death six times"

Kon could feel the pressure on his shoulder from the man's hand. This guy was strong "Yeah, I know what I did" he confirmed.

All for One shook his head, "No, you don't. You killed the monster, but you also unleashed a level of power that has never once been seen in anyone your age. Based on the data you'll see in that USB, you're going to find files and records of scientists panicking and quaking in fear because you Kon, are five times stronger than your dad was at your age," he said.

Kon leaned back slightly in surprise as he heard that, it was definitely new news to him "The fuck are you on about?" he asked.

"There are some video files in there as well, many of which were taken from the USJ. Both during the attack and after, in one of them, you will see detailed footage of your mother appearing and knocking you out, which you most likely know. But did you know, based on what you can see in the video, she most likely broke her hand doing it?" he said and based on the way Kons' eyebrows rose as he heard that, he didn't know about it at all "Oh so you didn't know, well I can't say I'm surprised, I imagine it healed before you woke up and no parent wants to admit they are not able to control their child"

'That couldn't be true, ' Kon thought to himself. Mom was a powerhouse that very few others could match. Sure, you can hurt your hand if you punch something hard or the wrong way, but she's a master fighter; she can throw a punch properly. Was his skull really that dense?

The man leaned back and let go of his shoulder "Superman was someone who did many things, but I always found him to be too naive, both about the world and humanity" he placed his arm on the counter and let out sigh "He spent his entire life fighting to show people that they can be good just for the sake of it and good things will happen in turn but look around. The second he dies, it all starts to unravel, crime goes up, and people lose faith. Did you know the United Nations is having a vote today about disbanding the league permanently?" he asked again.

Once again, Kon found himself thinking that maybe there was a lot he didn't know about what was happening in the world "It won't happen", he denied "Even if they vote for it, they don't have the authority to disband the League, it's an independent organisation"

All for One let out a chuckle "Very true, and while director Waller will speak of nothing but control and vigilantism, the reason he wants the League disbanded is because of you"

"How the fuck would that have anything to do with me?" he asked with a slight tone of annoyance.

"Because since people are starting to realise just how powerful you are or will become, they don't want to give you any type of base you can use for support if they deem you too big of a threat" he explained "They need a response to you, they need a counter, or as an old friend of your dad would say, a contingency plan. The league can't step in and defend you if they don't exist. Sure, I imagine some would come to your aid, but without the support of the other members of the league, they wouldn't be able to coordinate a response as fast as they would want to. If the UN decides you're too big of a threat and need to be put down, maybe they'll be too slow to save you, or bogged down by teams made to delay them" the man reached up and looked at his watch "Well look at that, it seems our time is up" he said as he turned and stood up.

"Why do this?" Kon asked before he could walk away, "Why tell me any of this?" he added.

All for One turned his head and looked at him "Because I don't want you to be your father, I want you to be better and you can't do that if they try to drag you down" he said before turning to leave but he only made it one step before he stopped and turned around again "Oh, before I forget. The hero Hawks has been ordered by the Safety Commission to offer you an internship so he can spy on you and look for a weakness that can be exploited later. Have a good day, my young friend," he said as he turned and walked away back into the crowd.

As Kon turned back forward and glanced at the TV, he realised that he had just missed the second event. He wasn't able to see the sinister smirk appearing on All for One's face as he moved through the crowd.

Ok, so now we see All for One in the flesh planting the seeds of manipulation. Why doesn't Kon recognise him? Why would he?

I do have some plans for AFO that I will use later, but for now, I wanted to add this little bit to show he's just as good at talking as he is at committing evil acts and the like. He knows he can't beat Kon right now, so he needs to be a bit sneakier about it.

Anyway, let me know what you all think in the reviews down bellow
