An unexpected guard of Tokyo's Jujutsu Tech emerges, forcing Midoriya to engage it in combat, unaware of a connection the guard has with Gojo and of an issue that is happening within. Meanwhile, the cursed spirit Ulcus makes his debut in the world of Quirks.
Chapter 10: Beat
"Hmm?"
Being a cursed corpse, Panda was not one bound by the need to sleep. Instead, he always spends the night by the grave of his creator/father.
It had not been long since the defeat of the King of Curses himself, Ryomen Sukuna. And while he himself didn't contribute much at the battle at Shujinko, he supposed wherever his Yaga-sensei was, he was very proud of him.
That being said, however, as the cursed corpse replaced a candle of the grave, he notices a lot of lights being turned on at the dormitories, when everyone should've been asleep.
His classmates stepped out of their rooms, hastily putting on their uniforms as multiple Windows were urging them to hurry. Wondering what the commotion was, the stuffed panda made his way back to the dormitories.
"Hey, Panda-senpai!" Yuji Itadori called out to his senior.
"Get your ass over here!" Nobara Kugisaki yelled out, prompting the cursed corpse to hurry.
"Hmm? Is something the matter?" Panda scratched his head in confusion.
"Yeah, I'm sorry to wake you guys up this late, but this one's urgent, straight from the higher-ups." One of the Windows, Akari Nitta, apologized to the tired students. "Just finish changing, and meet us out front."
The Windows quickly exited the scene, possibly to get to the faculty of the school. Hearing the urgency of the situation, the students couldn't help but look at each other in confusion.
"Directly from the higher-ups?" Maki Zenin raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Weren't they replaced some time ago?"
"Salmon." Toge Inumaki gave a singular response.
"I guess so. Gojo-sensei dealt with the old ones not long before Shinjuku." Nobara shrugged.
"I really hope these guys know what they're doing." Megumi Fushiguro lets out an annoyed yawn. "The previous ones were insufferable, but at least they had experience."
"Come on, Fushiguro." Yuji smiled enthusiastically.
Panda couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Everyone from Jujutsu Tech being summoned by the higher-ups? This couldn't be good.
Midoriya dashed to the side, dodging the downward attack of the strange panda plush as it ripped through the ground below it. Skidding on the ground, the green haired boy regained his stance and turned to the panda plush.
"Blackwhip!" Midoriya shot out a strand of Blackwhip.
The tendrils of Blackwhip wraps itself around the massive panda plush, tightening around its arms and giving Midoriya an opportunity to attack.
"Blackwhip plus Full Cowl!" Midoriya yelled out as he pulls himself towards the constricted panda plush. "St. Louis Smash!"
The green haired boy spins in the air, gaining momentum for a powerful roundhouse kick. However, the panda plush manages to rip Blackwhip apart in a single moment before grabbing Midoriya midair.
"Gah!" Midoriya gasped at having his attack countered.
"Hmm, you're strong for someone with little cursed energy." The panda plush spoke, having a deep brutish voice that compliments its massive form. It pulls its arm back once more, open palm flaming with cursed energy.
"Unblockable Drumming Beat!"
The open palm strikes into Midoriya's chest with powerful resonating power, sending ripples of energy into his body before sending him flying back.
"Gaaagh!"
The green haired boy crashes into the bleachers surrounding the running field, causing a massive crater to be uprooted in the impact. He slowly gets up, abdomen aching from the powerful blow.
"Ggghh. What was that attack? It was like it struck deeper than it did." Midoriya grunts, clutching his chest in pain. "But Blackwhip is weaker than it should be. It would've stopped him in place, I felt it."
"Midoriya." Daigoro Banjo's voice suddenly echoed in the boy's head.
"Fourth?" Midoriya gasped at hearing the fourth user speaking to him.
"Something's wrong. Blackwhip, my quirk. It's losing power." Banjo explained.
"W-What? What do you mean?" Midoriya gasped.
"One For All is a stockpile of energy. That energy was powering your Blackwhip, making it even stronger than I could have." Banjo explained.
"But something is restricting the connection between One For All and Blackwhip." Nana Shimura suddenly spoke up.
"N-Nana?!" Midoriya gasped even further once the seventh user started talking to him. "Wait, so Blackwhip is losing power? Why?"
"We don't know. But we just felt it weaken when that damn panda plush struck you." Banjo explained.
"Don't use Blackwhip for now. It's not worth the risk." Nana stated. "Until we can figure out what happened, only use the Quirk's energy stockpile with Full Cowl."
"Only use Full Cowl?"
The panda plush landed in front of Midoriya, leaving another crater as well. The massive, gorilla-built plush stood taller than the boy, staring him down.
"You will leave this place and disturb it no longer. I won't allow this place to be tarnished by intruders." The panda plush declared.
"He can talk?! It must be a special grade curse!" Midoriya grits his teeth in anticipation.
"The name's Panda. You would be wise to remember that name." The plush revealed its name at last.
"O-Oh, um. Panda? Are you some sort of cursed spirit?" Midoriya asked.
"Hmph, hardly." Panda crossed his arm. "But what about you? You plan on taking the school's resources? For what?"
"I-I'm sorry, we thought the school was abandoned long ago." Midoriya stated. "We weren't gonna sell the cursed tools for money, I promise. We're gonna use them to protect people from cursed spirits."
"Oh, really? I've heard such excuses from intruders before. They weren't even sorcerers. Just like you. I sense little cursed energy inside you." Panda stated. "And besides, the age of curses ended long ago. I saw it end."
"Well now it's back! Last week! My own classmates have become sorcerers as well!" Midoriya attempted to reason.
"Enough. Unless you have a good reason to take from the school, either leave or I will have to force you out." Panda gave the choice. "I will not let you desecrate my home."
That was when Midoriya gasped in realization. This thing must've been put in here to defend against intruders when the school was abandoned. His voice brought about a conviction that no simple doll or cursed spirit had.
"It has its own personality, so does it remember the faculty and students here?" Midoriya muttered to himself. "Was he himself a student? If so, it's worth a shot."
The massive panda plush looked at the boy in confusion, before stepping his foot forward.
"Have you made your decision? If you will not leave this instant, I will force you out." The panda plush retracts his open palm for another strike. "Unblockable Drumming Bea-"
"Satoru Gojo…
…is alive!"
The open palm strike stops inches away from Midoriya's face. The green haired boy looks around it to see the plush freeze in disbelief.
"Satoru… Gojo?" The plush gasps in disbelief, with Midoriya now seeing the tears welling up in its eyes.
"Huh?!"
It took the combined efforts of Yuji and Maki to stop Nobara from murdering all the Windows present in the area.
"Damn you, what do those fucker-ups want to gain from this?!" Nobara yelled out.
"Calm down, Kugisaki! Please!" Yuji yelled out in protest.
"No, I want answers. You mean to say everyone has to partake in this mission?! Because those guys said so?!" Nobara retorted. "There's a sale coming tomorrow that I will not miss! Get Kusakabe to wipe whatever shitstain popped up!"
"Hey! You watch your mouth!" Atsuya Kusakabe spat out upon being mentioned.
"I-I'm sorry. I'm unfortunately not in the position to argue." Nitta explained herself as best as she can. "A powerful Special Grade cursed object was discovered not long ago by curse users called the Virya Gates."
"The Virya Gates? I don't think I've ever read about them before." Ieiri Shoko, the campus physician, ponders upon hearing the name of the cursed object.
"Indeed. The Virya Gates only recently formed, possibly due to the strange cursed energy phenomena happening in China, but it is said to contain the power to collapse Jujutsu Society itself." Kiyotaka Ijichi explained. "The higher-ups have assigned this mission the highest priority. All focus must be on the retrieval of this cursed object before it ends up in the wrong hands."
"Ugh, and I thought Sukuna was a big problem." Megumi sighed.
"But there's one more thing." Nitta turned to one specific second-year. "Panda."
"Huh? You mean me?" Panda raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"The higher-ups have also considered the possibility of a breach in this school while this mission is underway." Ijichi explained. "Your growth in barrier techniques have increased in the past few months, so you have been assigned to defend this campus. Master Tengen's barriers were weakened when they were taken by Kenjaku back in November, so your barriers are needed to protect the school's assets."
"Huh? Why does he get to stay behind?" Nobara asked in annoyance.
"Because he got better in barrier techniques?" Yuji asked.
"Quiet, you." Nobara bashed the top of Yuji's head with her fist.
"Hey, will you be okay with us leaving?" Maki asked her classmate.
"Yeah. Do you think you can handle it, Panda?" Yuta asked with concern.
"Mustard leaf." Inumaki approached his classmate as well.
"Hmm, I'm not sure. My barrier techniques have improved, but I'm nowhere near Tengen's level." Panda pondered. "Besides, I'm more worried about your mission. Are you sure the Virya Gates will be put into the wrong hands?"
"Hey, don't doubt us now, Panda. We got this." Yuji shrugged, before getting his head bashed by Megumi. "Ouch."
"Quiet, you." Megumi growled.
"Well, I guess I'll be alright. Though it is a bummer to be left out." Panda stated.
"Well, don't worry. A Grade 1 sorcerer will accompany you to the school campus." Ijichi checked his clipboard. "Kusakabe, I believe you can sit this one out."
"Well, good enough for me." Kusakabe stretched his arms back before leaving the scene. "Panda, if you need me, I'll be back to bed."
"Wha- That lazy fuck as well?!" Nobara's jaw dropped in disbelief.
"Well, be better get going." Nitta stated. "We better catch it before it can get smuggled out of the country."
"Ugh, fine." Nobara sighed in defeat.
"Okay then. Let's do this." Yuji pumped himself up.
"Hey, Panda. See ya later." Yuta waved goodbye to the cursed corpse.
"Salmon." Inumaki waved goodbye as well.
"If you let any curse touch my room, I'll kill you!" Nobara yelled out as everyone left the school campus.
Panda waves all of his friends and classmates goodbye. But he couldn't really do so wholeheartedly. He felt something off about this whole thing, and he cannot shake the feeling off no matter what he did.
"No, he's… he's dead. Like everyone else. Like everyone that left." Panda was on the verge of tears. "You dare lie about something like that?!"
"What?" Midoriya raised an eyebrow. "N-No, Gojo is alive! His soul reincarnated-"
"Liar!"
Midoriya had to dodge to the side once more to avoid another Drumming Beat attack from the panda plush.
The two combatants stared at each other for a while, waiting for the other to make a move.
A bunch of explosions were heard overhead, and the two look up to see Bakugo spinning in the air in a trail of smoke.
"Getting beat by a fucking panda, huh?! I'll show you how it's done, Deku!" Bakugo yelled out as he made his way to where the panda plush was.
"Howitzer Impact!"
Panda brings his arms up to block the attack, which rips through the surrounding terrain. What remains of the area was a crater, but the cursed corpse remains, attempting to grab the blond midair.
"Tch!" Bakugo does a quick blast into the cursed corpse's face in an attempt to get away, but is unable to avoid a palm strike into his side. "Ghhk!"
"Kacchan!" Midoriya manages to catch Bakugo after the hit. "Are you okay?!"
"Don't you dare touch me, Deku!" Bakugo shoved Midoriya off with his elbow.
Panda merely watched the scene play out. More footsteps were heard, and three of the students' companions enter the running track with the collected cursed tools.
"What is that?" Kirishima asked.
"I don't know. Something that was meant to protect this place, I guess?" Midoriya answered before turning to Aizawa. "Where is Uraraka-san and Gojo-san?"
"Jiro is alerting them. It won't be long until they arrive." Aizawa stated.
Hearing this, the panda plush pounds the ground with its massive fists in anger, putting the alliance members on edge.
"I have not seen my fellow sorcerers for the past couple of years. And you dare to tell me that Gojo-sensei is still alive?" Panda muttered in frustration. "How despicable."
"Gojo-sensei?" Kirishima raised an eyebrow at the
"And now it thinks we're lying, great." Aizawa sighed, bringing an arm up in order to negotiate. "Look, whatever you think is going on, stop thinking it. Satoru Gojo is alive. One of my students is a vessel to his soul."
"Yeah! You can talk to him in a bit! You can have a reunion with your teacher!" Midoriya stated.
"Enough. I've heard enough out of you lot." Panda sighed in frustration before putting its massive paws on the floor. "Let's get this over with."
Slowly, Panda begins to glow an aura of cursed energy. Despite its passive stance with both hands on the ground, it became clear that he was ready for an attack.
"Tch, you think you can get us with that basic ass stance?! It's a 3v1 fuckface!" Bakugo yelled out.
"Okay." Aizawa prepared his capture weapon to fight. "Surround him. Keep your eyes on him, and once he attacks, strike back."
"Alright."
Bakugo aims his palms towards Panda, hands dripping with sweat to use for an explosion. Midoriya and Aizawa begin to strafe around, aiming to surround the cursed corpse and to put it into submission.
"Even if he doesn't believe us, we can keep him at bay until Uraraka and Gojo arrive." Midoriya thought to himself. "He's been protecting this place for so long, he must feel so lonely without his fellow sorcerers."
Slowly stepping into place, Midoriya kicks Full Cowl into gear, ready for battle.
"Your will to fight is amazing. But you don't have to feel lonely anymore." Midoriya muttered. "Just please bear with this for a moment longer."
As Aizawa and Midoriya prepare for an engagement on opposite sides of the cursed corpse, Panda releases a burst of cursed energy throughout his body.
"New Shadow Style: Simple Domain."
"Huh?" Midoriya questions what happened, before a blue light catches his attention.
The ground underneath Panda begins to glow blue, in a rectangular area surrounding him. The area was as wide as the cursed corpse was long, but it stretched out over ten meters on either side.
And Midoriya happened to step into this area to the left of the cursed corpse.
New Shadow Style: A barrier technique developed as a "domain for the weak" for the followers of Sadatsuna Ashiya.
A defensive, anti-domain technique, the New Shadow Style's Simple Domain is often constructed and customized by attaching a Binding Vow to act as the rules of the Simple Domain.
In the case of Panda, two binding vows were attached to his Simple Domain. One is the inability to use Unblockable Drumming Beat for the duration of the Simple Domain, and the other is the reduction of the barrier's range in front of and behind the sorcerer.
As a result, this increases the range of Panda's Simple Domain up to 10 meters on either side, letting Panda intercept them with an attack.
Dust is kicked up as Panda side steps from his position at an incredible speed without leaving his Simple Domain. Charging at Midoriya, he brings his shoulder up and gathers cursed energy into it.
"Blitz Tackle!"
"Huh?! He's fast!" Midoriya gasps at the sudden speed increase, bringing up his arms to defend himself. "Must block it! I can't afford to get hit!"
The green haired boy brings his arms up to defend from the attack. There was the sound of impact, and the feeling of dust being kicked up from the attack.
But Midoriya wasn't hit. Opening his eyes, the boy saw Gojo Satoru standing in front of him. Panda's shoulder tackle was stopped by the barrier of Infinity.
"Huh?!" Panda's eyes grow wide at the new arrival. "This barrier… the Limitless technique! It can't be!"
"Yo. Honestly, this place is in a better shape than I expected. Didn't think it was you keeping this place clean."
Gojo takes off the blindfold from his face, revealing the marvelous Six Eyes. Panda takes a step back, to process what he was seeing.
"It's good to see you, Panda."
It had been a long week since the Tokyo school's sorcerers were tasked with the retrieval of the Virya Gates. During the first few days, Panda was still able to call his classmates on the progress of the mission. Apparently, they tracked it down to a port where a group of curse users were about to smuggle it to China.
However, after the 4 day mark, things went radio silent, forcing Panda and his reluctant companion Kusakabe to deal with not knowing what was happening. The two attempted to wait it out, but things became more and more frustrating as time went on.
It went to a point where Kusakabe, man of reluctance and stalling, decided to find out what was going on himself. Panda wanted to come along, but the Grade 1 sorcerer insisted he stayed because of his use of barrier techniques to defend the campus.
Panda was reluctant to be left behind, but let Kusakabe leave, urging him to find his classmates. At least this was an increase in hope.
However, it did not last long. Days turned to weeks. No updates from Kusakabe or the windows. Panda slowly felt himself feeling lonely and frustrated. So he decides to leave the school entirely to figure out what was going on.
The outside world was a mess. Martial law was put in place a week ago, but his travel through the streets of Japan puts him at odds with mass protests from Japanese civilians. He couldn't go anywhere without spotting some sort of riot and conflict from humans.
Strangely enough, despite everything that was happening surrounding him, there seemed to be little to no curses appearing despite the chaos. And what's more, nobody seemed to have cursed energy at all. Not dissimilar to Maki's Heavenly restriction, it seems like nobody he met has the ability to emit cursed energy, not even light sparks.
Panda made his way to the port where the Virya Gates were suspected to be smuggled. Needless to say, it was carnage. Buildings half-ruined in battle, the vehicles of the windows were scattered and totaled, blood splatters everywhere. The ship that was docked even had an entire section gone.
Only one body was found, that of Kusakabe, who had a large hole on his side.
The cursed corpse sat in mourning, both for Kusakabe and the sorcerers who have died in this battle. First his master, then his teacher, then the rest of Jujutsu Tech. He mourns them. He mourns for all of them.
After all, even pandas cry.
The cursed corpse picks up the body of his fallen sorcerer and carries it all the way back to Jujutsu Tech. With a burden, and with a purpose. Protect the memory of those that call the school home.
"G-Gojo-sensei…" Panda's mouth was agape as he struggled to comprehend what he was seeing. "Y-You, you look…"
"Different? Yeah, I guess so." Gojo remarked, having a new look due to his new vessel. "My soul reincarnated into the body of another. Sound familiar?"
The sorcerer was met with no response as Panda stood there frozen in place, not knowing how to respond. Seeing this, Gojo lightens up, before walking up to the cursed corpse and embrace him into a hug.
"Come on now, Panda. Remember what ol' Yaga told you before, yeah?" Gojo chuckled out.
"...to be strong?" Panda asks as his form began to shrink, changing from that of a large gorilla to an actual panda in mere seconds. His true form.
"Yes, exactly. Now why don't you c'mere and-"
Gojo felt his back hurt as Panda embraced him in a tight hug as well. Though this came as a surprise to the sorcerer, but he quickly mellows down.
"Hey, now pal." Gojo chuckled.
"I'm sorry. Can we just… stay like this for a bit." Panda quietly says, tears slowly flowing out of his brown eyes.
"Sure, sure. Take all the time you need."
Midoriya watches this reunion from a distance, happy that the two of them managed to reunite despite the circumstances surrounding them. Turning to Aizawa, he gives the homeroom teacher a nod to signal that they should give them some space. The homeroom teacher responds with a nod as well.
The Gunga Mountain Villa is not a place Hawks likes to be. Sure, it's spacious and far away enough from the cities to have some peace and quiet, but it was also the base of operations for the Paranormal Liberation Front, the joint operation between the now-defunct Meta Liberation Army and the League of Villains.
But, having been assigned to act as a double agent in this new joint venture by the Public Hero Safety Commission, the Winged Hero has to contend with having to deal with these sorts of people. Whatever it takes, after all.
Flying towards the Villa, Hawks finishes listing up the suspected curse activity for the week. A lot of locations, more than last time. He hopes the young sorcerer can contend with being in multiple places at once.
After sending the new locations, he puts his phone in his pocket before landing on one of the balconies of the building. As soon as he does, he is met by one of the PLF's lieutenants.
"Hey, Hawks!" Twice greeted the hero enthusiastically.
Jin Bubaigawara. Villain Name, Twice. The Commission classifies him has a massive threat if they were ever to stop the PLF because of his dangerous Quirk, Double. Aside from the main man himself, Tomura Shigaraki, this man has the potential to overwhelm entire armies with his abilities.
"Hey, Twice. Why are you here?" Hawks lets out a soft smile.
"Oh, I've really been meaning to ask you something." Twice stated. "See, with the Night Parade Incident, everybody's in a bit of a mess. Everyone wants answers on who the Demon Villain is. The other lieutenants are all proposing solutions to the problem and I don't want them to think I'm not contributing! You gotta help me out man!"
"Okay, okay." Hawks puts his hand up to calm the lieutenant down, before walking to the door into the villa. "But why exactly do you want to find this guy?"
"You've seen the news, right! Wait, do heroes even watch the news?" Twice pondered. "Whatever, the reason is that we have no idea who this guy is. We checked with Giran and he doesn't even know where this guy came from."
"A John Doe-like figure, huh?" Hawks pondered.
"Exactly." Twice pointed a finger at the winged hero.
"Hmm, well I guess how you go about it depends on what you want the outcome to be?" Hawks suggested. "Question, do you want to kill the damn bastard or have him join us?"
"Honestly, I don't know. They seem to know what they're doing, but their Quirk seems very very VERY scary!" Twice answered erratically. "I just can't seem to decide."
"Well, I can't help ya there." Hawks looks up at the ceiling in boredom.
Twice's phone begins to ring in his pocket, causing him to pick it up. The call was from Re-Destro, must be something important.
"Sorry for bothering you, this is important." Twice puts his phone behind him so that Hawks couldn't see. "Don't follow me!"
The villain jogs away from where the two were talking, while Hawks watches on. The Winged Hero puts on a serious face, having hidden one of his red feathers behind Twice's ear. So as not to attract suspicion, Hawks decides to walk opposite of where the villain went.
"Twice, your Regiment's guarding the gate today, right?" Re-Destro's voice was heard through Hawks' feather.
"Well, yes. Is there a problem?" Twice was heard answering.
"Someone new is at the gate. Make sure you keep an eye out for what happens." Re-Destro stated.
"Okay then, on it!" Twice answered.
Noticing Twice's body movement through his feather, Hawks decides to keep his feather on him as he ponders the meaning of that call.
"A new guy. Guess I'll have to take a note of him as well." Hawks mutters to himself.
Walking back to the balcony, Hawks slouches on the fence and stares out the front of the villa. Looking down, the Winged Hero spots Twice skipping happily out of the villa towards the entrance of the compound.
Hawks couldn't see from afar who this new guy was, but it seems that they had more earthy colors like brown and green. Twice continued to skip towards the gate in order to greet the new arrival.
"Hey there, new guy! If you came here, that means you were directed by Giran to join the Paranormal Liberation Front!" Twice was heard greeting the new guy.
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Don't fucking touch me." The new arrival's voice was heard, spitting out profanities like a bitter old man. "So this is where the great PLF is located?"
"You bet!" Twice answered enthusiastically.
"Well that's fucking swell." The new arrival continued to spit out. "Any idea where I can see the big guy 'round here?"
"The big guy?"
"The big guy?" Hawks asked himself in confusion, wondering why the new arrival wanted to get in touch with the leader of the Paranormal Liberation Front.
"Y'know, the big guy! Top o' the food chain! Get what I'm saying?!" The new guy clarified his demands.
"O-Oh, if you want to register, you can approach one of the lieutenants. In fact, you're looking at one right now!" Twice continued.
"Hah, you?! A lieutenant?! Get the hell out of here." The new guy laughed at the declaration. "Now chop chop. Get your leader over here so we can discuss some things."
By now, Hawks had realized that the situation was escalating. He looked over towards the gate of the complex in order to see clearly what was going on. A couple of Twice's division was already gathered to deal with this new guy.
"Okay, this was fun when it started, but it's getting obnoxious. Either get me to register you into our ranks or get out, is that so hard to understand?" Twice asked.
"If not, then I suggest you leave before we beat your ass." One of the PLF members spat out at the new member.
"Hey, listen. I came here for one damn goal. I want to speak to Tomura Shigaraki." The new guy spat out as well.
"He's unavailable. Unless you have something of value, go scram and never come back!" Twice yelled out.
"Something of value! I'll show you fuckers something of value!." The new guy yelled out. "Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure."
Before Hawks could understand what the new guy meant, a viscous sound was heard from above. Looking up, the Winged Hero looks above the Mountain Villa as an inky substance formed around the villa, surrounding the compound in a spherical dome similar to the dome during the Night Parade.
"T-This is…" Hawks gasps at what happened. "Jujutsu!"
The Winged Hero turns back to the gate, but a massive burst uproots a large dust cloud that covers the area.
Twice was seen flying out of the dust cloud before tumbling on the ground, stopping just before the doors of the Villa.
"A Veil appeared? Then that must mean…" Hawks looks back towards the cloud of dust.
A large pillar of earth rises up from the dust cloud, standing taller than the villa in front of it. Standing at the top was the new guy, grinning maliciously as he looked down on the startled PLF members populating the compound.
"It's been one hundred years since I had a good fight!" Ulcus spat out as he readies himself for the action. "Come one by one, you pathetic pieces of shit!"
"A cursed spirit. Damn it. And the Veil means Kenjaku must be nearby." Hawks spat out, taking two of the larger feathers of his wings and fashioning them into swords.
A bunch of PLF members were seen surrounding Twice and trying to help him up.
"What the hell was that?!" One of the member's voices was heard through Hawks' feather that was still on Twice.
"I don't know… ugh." Twice was heard groaning. "So scary! I have to deal with it somehow! Hey, has Shigaraki left for Jaku yet?"
"No, sir. He's scheduled for tomorrow." Another member answered.
"Well, can't have this guy bothering the man before his surgery." Twice was heard breathing out. "Let's do this everyone!"
"Wait… Shigaraki's still here. If Kenjaku gets to him, then…" Hawks' eyes grow wide at the realization.
Hawks shoots out a swarm of feathers from his wings and sent them towards Ulcus in waves. The one-eyed cursed spirit takes notice of it before smirking.
"Oh?" Ulcus took the challenge.
The cursed spirit jumps up above the feathers along with a chunk of the pillar under his feet. Ulcus splits the pillar into five parts and kicks them at the villa.
Hawks flies out of the way as the chunks of the pillar crash behind him. The Winged Hero flies towards Ulcus midair as the rest of his feathers surround the cursed spirit.
"Hah, someone seems eager to die! Motherfucker, you don't have any cursed energy!" Ulcus yelled out.
Hawks swung his sword at the cursed spirit who dodged it. Seeing his combatant's eagerness to fight, Ulcus' grin widens even more.
"Okay then, bring it on!"
