Willow narrowed her eyes at Xander and Cordelia talking, which they'd been doing a lot of since school started back up with the new year and from what she'd overheard had happened a lot over the summer too. In trying to keep Xander and Buffy apart she'd somehow missed the fact that Cordelia seemed to have developed a liking for Xander herself. One he didn't seem to have a problem with, which made no sense, because he hated her. Didn't he? And saving her from the Master's followers and last week from the Epps build-a-girl project seemed to have intensified it, whatever it was. Something against the laws of God and man, that was for sure.

She turned to see Buffy, still mopey over the realization that Angel hadn't even tried to save her from the Master and sighed. Buffy had practically forbidden Angel's name to be spoken around her and was still struggling with the fact that she'd died. Willow thought it unlikely that Buffy would forgive Angel anytime soon, if at all and maybe Willow didn't need to keep her and Xander apart anymore. Because Buffy was a much better potential girlfriend than Cordelia, even if it meant she, Willow, lost out again. She moved to help Buffy, who'd been conscripted by Snyder into putting together the Parent/Teacher Night decorations and snacks. Little troll really didn't like Buffy.

"Need any help, Buffy?" She checked the sign Buffy'd painted earlier, by herself since Sheila, the other 'delinquent' Snyder wanted jumping through hoops, hadn't shown up.

"No, I think everything's done." Buffy ladled some lemonade into a cup and handed it to Willow. "Everything on the todo list is crossed off, even if I did have to do it all myself since Sheila never showed up. What's wrong?" She noticed Willow's expression.

"You forgot to put sugar in the lemonade."

"Lemonade needs sugar?"

"Lemons are sour, Buffy."

"But that's lemons, not lemonade."

"Lemonade is made from lemons." Willow handed her the cup and Buffy took a sip and grimaced.

"Crap, I'll run to the cafeteria and get some sugar. And, oh crap, Mom just showed up."

"I'll keep her busy. And away from your teachers." Willow understood why her friend was panicking, given her grades were horrible. She set the cup down and went to do her best friend duties. Her efforts were in vain however as eventually they ended up back in the lounge and Snyder was laying in wait.

"Mrs. Summers, just the person I've been looking for. We really must talk, my office?" She followed behind him as Buffy quietly freaked.

"Buffy, I need to talk to you." Giles approached her.

"Giles, now isn't a good time." Buffy protested. "Snyder's about to tell my mother all about how I'm a horrible person, I promise I'll worry about the vamp holiday later." Referring to St. Vigeous Night, which Ms. Calendar believed was this Saturday and heralded a vampire massacre.

"No, Buffy, this is about something else, something very important. I need to see you, Willow, Xander and Cordelia in the Library, regarding a prophecy and the fact that," and he drew a deep breath, knowing none of them, but most especially Buffy, were over the fact that she'd died, even temporarily. "there's a second Slayer."

"What?!" Buffy barely managed to strangle the scream. "But - but - there's only ever one at a time! You said it, Merrick said it. How can there be another?!"

"One dies, another is Called." He answered softly.

Buffy stiffened, staring at him. "And I died." She said flatly.

"I'm afraid so."

"You mentioned a prophecy? Like the one that killed me?"

"Something - something different and very important. I need you to come to the Library, Buffy. There's people I need to - introduce you to. And the prophecy."

"What about the prophecy?" Buffy tried to keep the bitterness out of her voice, but hey, the last prophecy involved her dying!

"May involve Xander, Cordelia and Willow, as well as you and Kendra, the Slayer your death Called."

Willow's eyes were saucer shaped as she stared at the Librarian/Watcher. "How could a prophecy involve us?" She gasped. "Don't they usually involve Buffy?"

"This is very different, about a different set of Chosen Ones. And just as important."

"Xander and Cordelia are down the hall, talking." Buffy pointed. "Um, Willow, could you go get them? I need a minute."

"Yeah, sure." Willow hurried off, mumbling under her breath. "How could Cordelia be a Chosen One? Aren't there any standards anymore?"

"Giles, are you serious?" Buffy stared at him. "My friends and Cordelia are being dragged into the nightmare that is my life?"

"Them being Chosen has nothing to do with you, Buffy." Giles informed her. "If they are the people in the prophecy, them being Chosen was known centuries before either your Calling or the prophecy about your death was made."

A silent group followed Giles to the Library and were introduced to Dr. Sam Zabuto and Kendra Young and he and Giles began explaining the Mystic Warriors prophecy to the wide eyed teenagers. He was about to show them the coins when shouts from the hall alerted them to a problem. A big one.

"Slayer...come out and play and bring your witch with you."

"Witch?" Buffy looked at Giles. "The only witch I've met is Catherine Madison and she tried to kill me."

"She tried to kill me too." Cordelia reminded her. "But she really is the only witch I know too."

Willow managed to keep from blurting out what was on her mind. 'Have you looked in a mirror, witch?'
