'If I were a group of teleporting aliens that doesn't like social interaction, where would I be?' I thought with a hum as I cruised through the air, keeping my speed slow to allow Trunks to not have to race after me.
My ki sensing on the other hand had spread as far as I could manage, but no matter in which direction I tried to look, I could feel absolutely nothing of note.
"Hah, there's not even the slightest energy fluctuation to show that there is at least some lifeforms on the planet."
"Maybe, they're better at hiding their energy signatures than we are…" Trunks' breathing was no longer as heavy as before when he first got off the ship, but I could still see slight jerks in his movements as his body adjusted to the gravity.
"That is true. Then perhaps we need to show that we're simply here to ask for training."
"How do we do that? Also, who says they're going to train us?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, to which I simply rolled my eyes as I flew down to the ground and began walking towards the closest city.
"You're…you're not serious, right?" He asked as he landed besides me and I smirked as I shrugged before continuing on with my walk.
"I am, indeed. Come on, where's your sense of adventure?"
"It's taking a walk. Also, we'd be there in a few seconds even if we cruise towards it."
"Just because you can fly does not mean you can't walk. Besides, this will be good stamina training." I answered back as I continued walking, smirking as a groaning Trunks slowly lumbered after me.
"Just for the record, I hate doing this."
"I know. Now, we just-Oh?" I raised an eyebrow as the ground in front of us cracked, reaching into my ear and pulling out the Power Pole while Trunks frowned as the dirt burst open.
"…What kind of goblin monstrosities are those?" Trunks asked with a slightly disgusted look at the chattering blue shark-like humanoids that clawed themselves out from the dirt.
However, I frowned as I saw the gem-like fins on their backs as well as the sharp talons and spikes protruding from their hands, feet, elbows and knees.
'They kind of look like Saibamen, but also have the gems that Frieza have. Perhaps some kind of Saibamen made in his image?'
"I don't know, but they're not bad." I muttered as I felt their energy, which was equal to that of the regular Dragon Warrior back on Earth but not even nearly close enough to pose a threat to Trunks or I.
"Not bad? I've fought against Dragon Warriors that could take them out." Trunks spoke with a raised eyebrow and I rolled my eyes as the monsters drew closer.
"Yes, they are weak, but underestimating your foe will result in you losing the battle."
"Really? We're hitting me with the wisdom stuff?" He asked even as he moved the side, a Friebamen missing him with a fin slash right as I extended the Power Pole and swung it in a wide arc.
The ground cracked below me with the force I swung the staff with as a wave of ki flew out in all directions, Trunks flipping over it right as the ki wave sliced through all of the Friebamen and made them fall to the floor.
"Yes, I'm hitting you with the wisdom stuff." I answered while also sending out a powerful barrage of ki blasts at the monsters, lighting up the area around us with explosion after explosion as I quickly and swiftly erased each of them from existence.
"That sounds more like you're scared of them." Trunks said with a smirk as he quickly caught the punch from the last remaining Friebamen before giving me a disgruntled look as I swiftly erased the alien from view.
"Your father always liked to say the same thing and act tough right before he got his ass handed to him by every big villain we've fought. That would be Frieza, my father, this guy called Zarbon, most of the Ginyu Force, Frieza again who killed him this time and then the Androids. Like father like son, I guess."
"That's taking it a bit too far." He grumbled with a glare and I rolled my eyes as I thumped him on the head with the Power Pole and spoke.
"Then make sure to at least be a son that doesn't lose every important fight he's a part of or should I leave the fighting to Cell?" I really didn't want to do this, but I'd rather have him be mad at me than turn into Vegeta 2.0.
Can't have that type of arrogance in the group because that will lead to nothing but pain for everyone.
"Fine~! Urgh, why can't I just have one simple fight?"
"Fine, the next big fight we have, you get first whack at the guy. How does that sound?" I asked with a raised eyebrow before shaking my head as he smiled excitedly and nodded.
"Great!"
"Great. Now, how are we-!"
"Hello there!"
"Crap!" I jumped slightly at the little dark green guy that appeared in front of me the moment I turned around, holding a hand to my heart while Trunks already had a ki blast charged up with wide eyes.
"Hehe~ Apologies for that and thank you for taking care of the Yaki. They have been quite the trouble for us these past few years."
"…Anytime, green guy…Uh, what's your name?"
"The name's Hatska, the one in charge of meeting guests and from the feel of your ki, am I right in guessing that you are Goku's son?"
"Indeed I am." I nodded and Hatska looked absolutely delighted as he clapped happily.
"Wonderful! Did your father send you to ask something of us?"
"We are here of something, but my father did not send us. He passed away over a decade ago and now I lead the planet after a vicious battle against bio-engineered monsters."
"Oh, my condolences." Hatska spoke with a slightly downed look and I smiled and bowed my head in thanks.
"Thank you, but I have had my time to grieve and mourn. Now, I need to make sure that the planet I lead is capable of surviving the tides of time and that's what I wish to ask of you. Is there any possibility that you could perhaps teach us the same lessons you taught my father? Not just Trunks and I but also the three women that came with us."
"But of course~! You have saved us from the Yaki so what better reward is there for you all?"
"Really?" I asked, a bit surprised but also ecstatic at how easy that was as Hatska smiled and nodded.
"Then, we'll have to…go…back…" I was stunned at how we went from being near the city to being right in front of the spaceships, the ladies floating in the air looking just as surprised to see us.
Trunks even went as far as closing his eyes for a few seconds and opening them back up to make sure that we had been pulled through space-time.
"Now, if you would all hold hands, I will be more than happy to take you all to meet the Elder!" Hatska spoke with a happy smile and as I looked at him, the smile that spread across my face would have put fear even in Frieza himself.
'…This is about to be so so much fun~'
"Elder Pybara, this is Gohan, Trunks, Vomi, Videl and Erasa, beings from the planet Earth. Everyone, this is Elder Pybara, the ruler of our planet for as long as I can remember."
"It is a pleasure to meet you all." I stared at the Yardratian in front of us that looked like a giant light blue Hatska, but instead of just having a single horn on top of his head, he had two along with his own unique two whiskers.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Elder Pybara, and I thank you for seeing us."
"Hahaha~ It is my pleasure to meet you as well and there is no need to thank me when you all saved us from the Yaki." Pybara spoke with a smile and I chuckled before watching as the Yardratian stood up.
As he did so, my eyes widened as his body was covered in an iridescent glow before he shrunk down significantly, going from being nearly twice as tall as I was to about only half of my height, which was still taller than Hatska that was only a quarter of my height.
"Anyone else just see that?" Erasa asked out loud and we all nodded as Pybara smiled before looking at us all.
"Now then, shall we start training?"
"So, what exactly will you be teaching us, master Pybara?" Videl asked as we made our way out of the city and the Yardratian smiled as we continued flying to the south.
"It is a very particular set of skills that my people have been perfecting from the time that we were created by the divines and it is called Spirit Control."
"I'm guessing this has something to do with the courage and mind aspects of ki?" I asked and Pybara looked at me with a smirk as he nodded while the others looked confused.
"Wait, ki has aspects?"
"Since you seem to have a good understanding of ki, young Gohan, I will ask of you to explain it to the others."
"Ki is divided into three aspects, those being Genki(Energy), Yuki(Courage)and Shoki(Mind/ Focus). Genki refers to the raw power or life force that each person possess, Yuki refers to the aspect of willpower and fighting spirit that a person shows in battle or their adrenaline rush when they get pushed beyond the limits and finally, there is Shoki which refers to the mental clarity and control one has over their ki."
"Precisely that. Normal users of ki consciously tap into their Genki and Shoki aspects in order to produce a set amount of ki that they exert during battle, but when they are pushed to their absolute limit, they tap into their Yuki aspect which boosts their power over the limit."
"So, you're saying that all those times about humans getting filled with adrenaline and tapped into what we call 'Hysterical Strength'…" Videl trailed off as she looked at me and I smiled before nodding.
"That is when the average human taps into their Yuki aspects and temporarily unlock their ki to do so. However, like many adrenaline rushes, the body is not meant to exert force beyond what they trained their limits to be so the body begins to break down the longer one goes stays past that limit."
"I…see. And what does this mean for Saiyans?" Trunks asked with a frown and I grinned as my tail swayed behind me.
"Well, you know how a Super Saiyan is unlocked by experiencing intense negative emotions that pushes them over the limit? That is the Yuki aspect, but without a powerful body to handle, the influx of new energy pushes the body far beyond the limit and completely destroys it unless a Saiyan train their Genki aspect intensely to handle it. However, power controlled solely by anger is nothing but destruction waiting to eradicate everything in its path. The Shoki aspect is thus also seen as the most important for any Super Saiyan because being able to control and direct this rage at a target and then dismissing it is very important for any fighter, which is why Super Saiyan is not considered mastered until a Saiyan can control their anger. Balancing all three of these aspects in unison is what truly helps one master the Super Saiyan transforming: keeping high energy levels, maintaining confidence and staying calm no matter the circumstances."
"…Holy crap, you have studied this intensely." Vomi muttered with wide eyes, the others looking just as surprised while master Pybara looked impressed as I gave a sheepish chuckle and shrugged.
"I had to master it all on my own so I had to study it to the best of my abilities."
"So, have you mastered any forms other than Super Saiyan?" Master Pybara asked and I frowned slightly before nodding.
"I have slightly mastered another form of Super Saiyan combined with the Oozaru transformation unique to Super Saiyan that I call Super Saiyan 4."
"Wait, you just jump from 1 to 4? Don't you know how to count?" Erasa asked with a smirk and I rolled my eyes as the others smirked.
"I do, but considering the massive and drastic boost in power from Super Saiyan to Super Saiyan 4, I feel as if there are perhaps one or even two more transformations in between the two."
"And you would correct in thinking so." Master Pybara spoke up and I smirked as the others looked surprised as Videl spoke up.
"Really?"
"Indeed. Unlike your Super Saiyan transformation, I'm going to take a guess that this Oozaru transformation makes use of the tail on your back, correct?"
"It does."
"Then is it safe to say that you can't transform without the tail?" He asked and I frowned slightly before hesitantly shaking my head.
"I have not tried transforming without the tail but I don't believe it is needed after I've achieved the transformation."
"Then, why don't we put it to the test?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow at that as the others looked a bit cautious.
"Are you saying that we should cut my tail off?"
"Wait, what?" Trunks asked with a surprised look as he turned to master Pybara, who smiled and nodded while we landed on the barren outskirts a few kilometers outside the city.
"I am, indeed."
"…Eh, why not?"
"Wait, what?!" This time, the son of Bulma sounded flabbergasted but I rolled my eyes as I made a ki blade around my hand before slicing my tail off with gritted teeth.
The moment I did, I didn't even care for the burning pain that rippled through my body as I was more focused on the crippling weakness that shot through my form the moment the tail was fully off.
While I didn't feel like I was about to drop dead, I felt only as strong as I did when I first entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, which was a travesty compared to how strong I was before.
"What the hell?!" Videl exclaimed as she rushed forward, to which I gave a tired smile as I slowly stood up with the help of both her and Erasa before looking at master Pybara as he nodded.
"Well done."
"What do you mean 'Well done'?" Vomi asked with a slightly disapproving smile before she looked at me as I chuckled.
"Don't worry, everyone. This…is good. Now, what do I need to do?"
"Transform." Master Pybara answered simply and I nodded as they slowly let me stand, the others standing back as I took a deep breath and began circulating my ki through my body.
Letting my mind sink into the controlled anger of Super Saiyan, I felt the rush of power rushing through my body as I let it out with a shout, the ground cracking under me as a burst of golden yellow energy shot up and lit up the area around me.
"Haaaaaahh!" However, I didn't stop there as I continued charging up, the world in front of me flashing from dirt to the Androids rushing towards me as I heard the sound of a monster roaring in my ears.
"I can feel you trying to push your rage back, Gohan! Don't! Let yourself sink into it! Feel your rage flowing through your body, from your heart to your head! From your smallest toe to the smallest hair follicle on your head!" Master Pybara's voice echoed over my growls and I gave a nod as I stopped trying to calm myself, instead letting my mind be cloud over while trying my best to see through the anger.
"Your rage is you! You are your rage! Now, be free and announce to the world who you are, Son Gohan of Planet Earth!"
"RRRHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" With a deafening roar that I was sure made the ground tremble, I felt power flooding me as a pillar of golden light shot up into the sky around me, the sound of static echoing in the air around me as I took deep breaths while looking back down at the smile on Pybara's face.
"It's most definitely not your Super Saiyan transformation…but I have to say it is most definitely the next level." He spoke with a smile and I frowned slightly as I looked down at my body only to raise both eyebrows at the static electricity and golden aura enveloping my form.
Looking at the others, I could see them all looking just as surprised as I did before I grinned as I clenched and unclenched my fist and looked back at the smiling Pybara.
"What's next?"
A/N: This chapter was short and more of an information dump to show how I translate Super Siayan in my own terms using the aspects of ki that is on the fandom wiki.
However, we say hello to the greatest Super Saiyan transformation that made Gohan into a menace: SSJ 2~!
Don't worry as this entire journey is to help him focus more on the rage aspect of Super Saiyan 2 and 4 and mastering both to their limits.
The same can be said for Trunks as Gohan is now going to focus on the young Saiyan while Videl, Erasa and Vomi are going to be training in mastering their ki to their limits.
Also, this was just going to be two or three chapters, but this could be a mini-arc to showcase Gohan's strength as I got a new villain planned for it.
Not going to say much other than that.
Anyway, check out my Pat-reon-.-com-/-KingCrimsonNova to read ahead on this as well as many other stories that may peak your interest. If you want to, you are free to, but if you don't want, all's good as I will still be uploading here. This is just me trying to get some extra cash.
