Judgment Day: 21/5/2000

Off screen

"Good to be back." George said to himself as he walked the corridors of the Freedom Hall arena in Louisville, Kentucky. He will admit, it had been a long month and he missed the ring action but the time away did help as well, allow him to fully make sure that he was cleared from his injury. He also got to hang out with his brothers more and get updates on them, which wasn't good as they were becoming frustrated with things in ECW, not like how things were in WCW but they were more frustrated at how the network that broadcasts ECW on TV were being assholes.

But, in his time away, there had been one person that George had begun to miss being on the road with, even if he knew they'd eventually resume it. But he had been watching her matches and he was very impressed with her applying his own arsenal into her own but changing it in a way that fits her. His heart gave a jolt as he thought about her but he shook his head.

Continuing to make his through the hallways, George smirked when he saw a familiar face. One that he hadn't seen at a WWF arena since before last year's Unforgiven event. He walked up to him and smacked his back.

"guess the Deadman's walking again." He said.

Mark Calaway turned and chuckled before sharing a fist bump with his friend. "Couldn't stay away forever, I did have an injury to heal." He then gave George a quizzical look while putting his hands on his hips. "So, finally unmasked, huh?"

George snorted and gestured to the man. "Ditching the whole 'Lord of Darkness' theme?"

Mark shrugged. "Different era, gotta make sure I can hang with the other guys when it comes to the microphone. You do the same?"

"Yeah, evolved the character but without doing a full change." George nodded. "Might not be the silent-type anymore, and less supernatural mind games, but that doesn't mean I skipped out on the ruthlessness. Plus, I spoke with some on the creative team and they said they want me to do mind games but not to the supernatural extent."

Mark nodded in understanding before he smirked. "Was a girlfriend included in the plans?"

George rolled his eyes. "Here we go. Look, she is not my girlfriend except on-screen."

Mark scoffed. "Yeah, that's how it always starts, George. It's mainly work and the next thing you know it's becoming a personal thing. trust me, I've seen it happen in the decade that I've been here. Need I remind you of some of the things that were said about Bret, Shawn and Sunny?"

George paused at then, then conceded to Mark's point with a nod. "True. But that was their issue, not mine. look, I'm not saying that I wouldn't mind a relationship with Trish, but I don't want to mix work with my personal life. And I doubt she wants the same as well. It can get in the way of things."

"Well, at least you can understand that." Mark nodded in approval. "Wish I could say the same about Paul and things with him, Stephanie and Chyna."

"Yeah, I really didn't want to bring that up around them. Watching it from home was shocking enough." George said, then caught sight of a certain blonde. "Anyway, Taker, I'll talk to you after my bit in the show."

Mark saw where he was looking and smirked before nodding. "I get it. Take care of yourself." With a fist bump between them, Mark walked off while George walked over to Trish who was on her phone at the moment until she noticed a presence, making her look up.

She jumped when she saw George. "You bastard!" She slapped his chest while he laughed. "Don't fucking scare me!"

"I couldn't resist!" George said with a snicker while Trish glared at him before it softerned as she chuckled as well, then hugged him which briefly caught him off guard before he hugged her back, his nose filling with her sweet perfume and the shampoo she used in her hair.

'Is that lavender?' He wondered before pulling away, his cheeks slightly red and noticed Trish's were the same.

"Good to see you back around here, Wolf." Trish said, trying to clear away her blush and calm her heartbeat at seeing him again. they had seen each other a few times in person when Trish wasn't needed at a show, but most of the time had them calling each other. And the time away had been a bit of a killer on them. Both of them had missed each other's presence.

"Well, Vince did say I was off until tonight, but I'll be full-time from here on out, depending on the shows I'm scheduled to be at." George said. Vince had given him the details of his next feud a few days ago, and George was happy with what he'll be doing and who he'll be working with.

Trish nodded, then adverted her gaze a little shyly before asking. "So... did you watch my matches?"

"Always do." George said with a proud smirk. "You know how to wrestle in that ring. Adapting my move arsenal and changing it to suit your style was a good thing."

"Well, I learn from the best." Trish said with a wink, making him chuckle before the two walked off to continue talking, and also for George to go over any possible changes to his role in tonight's show.

WWF Judgment Day was live at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. The event opened with Team ECK (Kurt Angle, Edge, and Christian) facing Too Cool (Scotty 2 Hotty, Grand Master Sexay, and Rikishi). Grand Master Sexay performed the Hip Hop Drop on Edge to win the match.

Next, Eddie Guerrero defended the WWF European Championship against Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko in a Triple Threat match. After Chyna hit Saturn with a lead pipe that was hidden in a bouquet of roses, Guererro pinned Malenko with an Oklahoma Roll to retain the title.

After that, Shane McMahon faced Big Show in a Falls Count Anywhere match. After interference from Big Boss Man, Test, Albert, Trish Stratus, and Bull Buchanan, Shane pushed an amplifier onto Big Show's leg and hit him with a cinderblock to win the match.

The next match was Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho in a Submission match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. At the climax of the match, Jericho passed out to the Crippler Crossface by Benoit, meaning Benoit won the match and retained the title.

However, as Benoit was celebrating his victory...

OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!

Benoit snapped his head up as the crowd were on their feet upon hearing the wolf howl. Benoit looked around before the lights went out for a few seconds, and then the wolf howl went off again before the lights turned back on... AND THE BLADEWOLF WAS STANDING BEHIND CHRIS BENOIT!

The Bladewolf had given a brief attire change, noticeably for his upper body. Rather than going shirtless, He was back to wearing a black sleeveless top with a black wolf on the front that had hellfire eyes. His black pants were still the same, with the black wolf with hellfire eyes on both sides.

"the Bladewolf! it's the Bladewolf!" JR exclaimed. "Where in the hell?!"

"What?!" Jerry shouted.

Benoit turned... INTO A GOOZLE! He dropped the Intercontinental Championship as he clutched at the tight grip around his throat.

"He has Chris Benoit!" JR said.

The Bladewolf lifts Benoit up and... PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!

"Chokeslam!" JR exclaimed.

"Woah! Benoit has just been laid out!" Jerry added.

Bladewolf glares down at Benoit before his gaze shifts to the Intercontinental Championship which he proceeds to pick up and raises to the crowd's delight as they cheer.

"I think we now know what this was all about." JR said. "He wants the Intercontinental Championship!"

Bladewolf drops the title on Benoit and takes his leave as his theme plays.

And that's it for Judgment Day 2000. Yeah, this is to start a feud between him and Chris Benoit.
