AN: hi everyone I am soooooo sorry it has taken me so long to update I feel so mean right now, but I am just now able to do anything really my hands are back to normal but I still have to have my surgery that's ok though sadly I may take some time getting new chapters up as I no longer have a computer im borrowing one right now but can only use it for a short time so I will try to get chapters up as soon as I can. Thanx for all the reviews I hope to get a lot more. Hopefully this is worth the wait. R&R plz

Chapter Ten

(Rins pov)

I smiled, glad everyone finally new the truth. I had worried that they would be mad that I hadn't told them right away. Instead they were just happy that I had found my voice after so long. The news about Sesshomaru and I was a real big surprise to some – the boys – and a small one to others, but they all approved.

"So are we going to play or not?" Sango demanded grinning.

"Sure. I can't wait to win again." I taunted her.

"Oh no not this time missy" she said with a playful glare, as we all walked back over to the edge of the pool. The boys slid into the water and stood with their backs to us. This time I didn't hesitate to get on Sess's shoulders. With ease he pulled me more fully onto his wide shoulders, once I was comfortable he walked out to the six foot deep area the rest of the group followed.

This time we were up against Ayame and Koga first. When she grinned her sharp canines stood out. "You are going down girl." I smirked. "Not this time."

See the last few times we played this game Sango and Ayame had each beat me. Kagome had even beaten us a few times, but Ayame has been the winner more often the not.

We lined up and counted down from five. At one all the girls locked hands and the game was on! We were all trying our damndist to get the other to fall. I could hear Koga taunting Sess but his grip on my calves stayed firm. The last time I had gone against Ayame she had almost beaten me, but Sess had said something to Koga that had distracted him and allowed me to shove her off into the water at the last moment.

That time Sango had come out the champ beating me in the final round. I was hoping to change that this time around.

Kagome hit the water with a huge splash! Five full minutes before either Ayame or I started to slip. It seemed Sango was looking for another victory.

Only after Kagome hit the water did I notice my thigh was starting to slip. Sess wasn't allowed to august his grip this far into the game, none of the boys were or the games would never end.

She must have sensed victory cause her eyes danced with triumph. Koga continued to taunt Sesshomaru and him Koga. I could hear the others cheering, but wasn't licensing to what they were saying.

Ayame shoved and I nearly went down, but somehow managed to keep my seat. "Oh come on. You'll have to do better then that." I said smirking.

"Don't worry I will." Again she shoved. I tightened my legs around Sess, sure that if he were human I would leave bruises. I shoved back and felt her slid, but her being a demon she was able to regain her balance, though Koga winced slightly.

If only I was stronger. I'd be able to win no problem, I thought. Suddenly my body felt as if it had fire running threw it! That alone was strange but even stranger was the fact that it didn't hurt. In fact it felt great! It took a moment for me to realize what it was and in that moment I almost fell into the water!

It was power flowing through my body! Power I knew I didn't have, but that I had felt before. Only I couldn't remember were. As I nearly lost my seat again I remembered that now wasn't the time to think about it. Sesshomaru managed to keep me up somehow. Ayame grinned evilly. "Looks like I'm going to win again."

I rolled me eyes. "Not going to happen." I shoved her again and she nearly fell but Koga saved her. I could still feel that strange power flowing through my body. What the hell, I might not know what the hell it was but I can sure use it. With that thought in my head I shoved Ayame with all I had.

Suddenly she was in the water, she came up spitting out water. She pushed her wet hair out of her eyes and looked up at me, she sighed. "Oh well, Sango you better win." I snickered as she and Koga moved away so Miroku and Sango could take their place.

All the strength and power I had felt was gone as if it had never been there making me wonder if it was my imagination, but I was sure I had felt it somewhere before. Strangely my necklace was slightly warm against my skin, but when I looked down I couldn't see anything unusual.

Mentally shrugging I turned my attention to Sango. Sesshomaru was able to august his hold on my legs so when we locked hands I was nearly glued to him.

It was a close one with Sango hitting the water just moments before me, but still the win was mine. I'm sure the only reason for that was whatever Sess said to Miroku, though he refused to tell me what he had said.

For another hour we played in the water just having a good time. I would dunk the others and they would try to dunk me only Sess actually did though. I kept thinking about that strange feeling of power I had felt but nothing more happened so I brushed it off and just had fun with my friends.

Later we all made our way to the kitchen for food. While we were in there Iziyo came in with the woman Liz. I was sitting on Sesshomaru's lap listening to Inuyasha and Koga ague over basically everything, when I saw them enter the room. Iziyo smiled as she saw the scene and I noticed Liz looking closely at me again.

"Well if this isn't a lovely scene I don't know what is." Iziyo said with laughter in her voice. When her eyes ran over me and Sess she did laugh. "I take it you told them?" she asked as the two of them moved farther into the room. Everyone looked over at her then at Sesshomaru and me then back to her. Before we could say anything the others all yelled, "You knew?!"

The look of shock on their faces was priceless, I hid my smile in Sess's neck. It was then that Inutashio walked in. he looked around saw the scene and smirked.

"Seems I've walked into a scene like this before, isn't that true Sesshomaru?"

I turned red and Sess growled. "You knew about them too?" Inuyasha asked in disbelief. Inutashio looked over at his youngest son. "Yes I knew, but they weren't when I walked in on that little scene." He said simply causing me to turn even redder.

"And you never said anything?!" this caused an argument between the two. I tuned them out as Sess ran his hand up and down my arm to sooth me. Izyio's smile turned tender when she saw this and that's when I noticed that Liz was still watching me. I couldn't understand why but it made me feel uneasy.

Before I could think about it too much Miroku suddenly said in a voice just below a yell, "Wait, hold on," holding both hands up he looked over at Inutashio. "Did you say you had walked into something like this before?" he asked gesturing to me and Sess.

Everyone was silent as they looked at Inutashio. He grinned like a little kid with a bucketful of candy, my face that had just gone back to its normal pale turned bright red again.

"Why yes. Yes I did."

The others waited for him to explain, I hid my hot face in Sesshomaru's shoulder and felt his chest rumble when he growled all else was silent.

"Well! Are you going to tell us or not?" Inuyasha demanded as the silence stretched on. His dad chuckled then in a voice filled with mischief told them ab out the day he had walked into Sess's room to find me in his lap, I kept my face hidden the whole time. "He was clearly teasing her so I just told them to be responsible and have fun and walked out." He finished with a smirk.

The room was as silent as a tomb, I finally peeked out of my hiding place. All of my friends were staring at me with their mouths open. My was on fire and I cloud feel the silent growl coming from Sess.

"And you all say I'm the pervert." Miroku said glancing at Inutashio. He immediately assumed an offended look. "Don't judge me it was to good a chance to pass up." He said huffily. We couldn't help it we all burst out laughing even Sesshomaru chuckled silently making my whole body shake.

After that things turned to everyday things and my face finally cooled down. Sesshomaru continued to run his hand up and down my arm. I talked with everyone from the safety of Sess's lap my head resting on his chest, every time he would speak I would feel the vibration run down my spine. Liz continued to stare at me and it was starting to freak me out a little. I mean I could understand if she was staring cause I was sitting in Sesshomaru's lap but it seemed like more then that. Still I ignored her as best I could.

It wasn't long though before Koga gave me a great distraction. "Hey you know what, no one ever told us how you two found out they were dating." he said looking at Iziyo and Inutashio. I winced slightly, up until then I had been able to keep what had happened that night between me and Sess but I knew it would come out tonight. Sess pulled me closer and kissed my neck gently not caring that the others were watching him.

Iziyo looked at me and smiled kindly. "We came upon them talking in her car. I would have left them alone, but my husband just had to talk with them." She explained with a playful glare aimed at her husband.

"Ok, but how did you know they were dating?" Ayame asked confusion clear in her green eyes.

Sesshomaru snorted, "Cause my father has a big mouth." That just added more to the confusion.

"I do not!" Came the indigent reply, "I simply said it was nice to see that a girl had finally caught my sons attention." Inutashio smirked when I giggled. The others laughed as they understood.

The way Inutashio had worded his sentence had required an explanation and the only way to do that was to tell me how Sesshomaru felt. Sess growled but when I glanced up his eyes were alight with amusement.

"So that explains that, but when was this, how long ago?" Sango asked.

"I told you three weeks ago." I said knowing they would soon put it together.

"The same time you started talking again." Koga said thoughtfully.

"Wasn't that about the time you went to the moves alone?" Kagome asked with a small frown on her face. I nodded.

"Hey wasn't there an attack near the theater that weekend?" Miroku suddenly asked.

"Yeah, six people were beaten and left unconscious in an ally." Sango confirmed. I stiffened unintentionally and Sess tightened his grip on me trying to comfort me. "They never did find out who did it or why." Inuyasha said.

Something in my face must have given me away. "Rin?" I glanced over at Inutashio. "Are you alright honey?"

I tried to smile but it came out more like a grimace. "I'm fine." I said not believing for a moment he would believe me. For a few moments all was quiet as everyone stared at me. It was then that I remembered that Liz was still there and licensing to everything we said. Having the others find out was bad enough I didn't want some stranger to find out as well, but I knew I had to tell them there was no way around it.

"Rin, what happened that night?" Kagome asked softly. I looked up and met her worried eyes with a sigh.

Knowing I had to tell them didn't make it any easier. Sess leaned down and whispered in my ear, "Do you want me to tell them?" I looked up into his amber eyes knowing he would tell them for me if that was what I wanted, but I also knew it was something I had to do myself. So I just shook my head and pressed closer to him. He wrapped his arms around me and held tight, taking a deep breath I told them about the night that had been fighting for first place among my nightmares the last few weeks.

When I finished everyone just sat there for a moment not saying a word. I couldn't meet anyone's eye so I simply looked at the table. It was Inuyasha who finally broke the silence. "So it was you who beat the shit out of those people."

"It was my pleasure I can assure you." Sess told them. Inutashio laughed.

"I'm surprised he didn't kill them." Koga said watching Sess closely.

"He probably would have if Rin wouldn't have seen him do it." Iziyo said surprising everyone. I felt Sess shrug behind me, "Most likely."

You would think that would bother me, but it didn't nor did it seem to bother anyone else. In fact Inutashio looked proud of his son. My body was starting to stop trembling and relax when Ayame asked the one question I had hopped non one would ask. "How did they know you were mute?"

Sesshomaru growled low in his throat and his hold tightened around my waist. I had his hand in mine so I squeezed gently to turn his attention to me. I didn't look at anyone when I spoke, keeping my gaze on the tabletop. "It was Drake who lead them." I said so softly I wasn't sure they heard me.

The uproar the name caused let me no right away that they had indeed heard me. Everyone was talking at once making it impossible to understand anyone.

"That slim ball! It's no wonder he hasn't been to school in so long!" Sango said once everything had calmed down a bit. The rest of them said varying things of the same thing.

I was wishing they would just let it go already. Sesshomaru picked up on my discomfort and kissed my neck again he was about to say something when Iziyo bet him to it.

"Alright everyone let's talk about something else."

"That's right, Rin is obviously safe and sound. I mean just look at the two of them!" Inutashio said grinning as he pointed at us. I blushed and hid my face once more in Sess's neck, but I smiled as the others turned the conversation to that topic.

AN: ok everyone I no it was short but that's all the time I have today:/ I hope you like it ill try to get the next chapter up soon and just to be a little mean ill tell you it starts off in Sesshomaru's pov:p R&R plz
