A Few Weeks Later.

Erin's POV

"Hello Erin," Ishizu greeted as I entered the room Zane and I had been at before.

"It's good to see you again, Ishizu," I responded. "I take it Zane told you why I'm here?"

The Tomb Keeper nodded and looked at the stone tablet that had Mareena's carving on it.

"I'm sure with Moonstone Dragon and Blue Eyes White Dragon you'll might learn some more about Mareena"

"I hope so"

Zane let me borrow Moonstone Dragon for this particular trip to the museum.

"Yo Erin! Whatcha doing here?"

Ishizu and I turned around to see Yami, Joey, Tristan, and Tea approaching.

"I'm hoping to get more insight into my past self" I answered Joey. "Especially now that I got this"

When I showed the gang my Blue Eyes everyone except Yami spazzed out.

"How the hell did you get that? Did Kaiba give you one of his?" Tristan demanded.

I shook my head.

"It was a gift from Pegasus apparently this Blue Eyes was just waiting for the right owner"

"Just don't use it in a duel with me," Joey muttered, looking pale.

"It suits you, Erin" Yami complimented me.

Yami was here to find out about his past now that he had the God Cards. Ishizu explained what needed to be done and I was curious to see what would happen to him. With us watching the Spirit of the Millennium Puzzle held up the Egyptian God Cards to the tablet and announced he was the Pharaoh. Like in my visions, Yami went into a semi-trance, but something didn't feel right.

In fact, I sensed something evil, and it was then the glass that protected the stone tablet started to turn into ice, and then Yami snapped out of his trance. The god cards had an evil aura about them and Yami suddenly dropped them as though he were in pain.

"That wasn't supposed to happen," Ishizu said as I picked up Slifer, Obelisk, and Ra.

"I agree it looks like something else wants to stir up trouble," I agreed with my future sister-in-law as I returned the god cards to Yami.

"Aww really?! We just finished dealing with Marik's dark half!" Joey whined.

"You alright?" I inquired from Yami.

"I'm fine" he reassured me. His attention then went to the stone tablet with Mareena on it. "Perhaps you'll have better luck than me"

All of us went to the other stone tablet and the gang took a good look at it.

"So that's supposed to be you, Erin?" Tea wondered.

"Yes, my past self was named Mareena" I explained. "Like me, she was a Nine-Tailed Fox hybrid that traveled around Egypt as a Healer, according to Ishizu she was then brought to the court of the Pharaoh"

I sent Yami a smirk at this.

"Mainly she was brought there as a potential bride for the new king"

Yami immediately went red and Tea looked horrified. Tristan and Joey wolf-whistled.

I then got behind the goofy duo and pushed both of them closer to the tablet.

"Look better boys that isn't said Pharaoh behind Mareena"

Tristan and Joey did so and it didn't take long for Joey to figure it out.

"That's Kaiba!" he exclaimed. He then did a face smack when he noticed Blue Eyes White Dragon close to my Zaldrizes's past self.

"The Blue Eyes White Dragon was one of your monsters wasn't it?"

I nodded while looking at my Blue Eyes card.

"Mareena had saved the life of a child, and Blue Eyes saw it as an act of kindness, so it chose her as its Wielder alongside Moonstone Dragon," answering Yami's question.

"Just be careful, Erin," Tea suggested. I flashed her a grin before holding out Moonstone and Blue Eyes out to the tablet.

Immediately, I was transferred back to Ancient Egypt, and my face went blood red as I saw Mareena in bed beside Seto's past self. It was obvious they had made love recently and it was sweet at how the priest was looking at Mareena. Mareena then opened her eyes and she smiled at seeing her beloved. Again I couldn't hear what was being said but knew what was happening.

Priest Seto showed Mareena a ring that was silver and in the center was a gorgeous blue diamond. Immediately, Mareena began to cry, and she nodded before the ring was placed on her left hand; then Priest Seto lowered his intended bride beneath him again, and the vision changed into a new one.

This time it was where Mareena came to find Bakura after whatever betrayal Priest Seto did. The two of them were dressed and Mareena looked guilty.

"You must eat my Moonlight," Bakura told the healer, placing some food into her hands.

"I'm not hungry" Mareena countered. "I shouldn't have come here"

"And yet my love you did"

Bakura sat down next to her and caressed her face.

"You came to me and saved my life, it was you who saw past the darkness and scars I have, it was you my Moonlight that made me feel alive again, any man who dared looked your way I threatened to kill them so others would know you were mine, and mine you were when I claimed your maidenhead"

Now that got me to go blood red.

Bakura then pulled the healer into him and placed her hand where his heart was.

"My heart beats for you my precious love and always will, that priest hurt you and he's going to pay severely for it"

One last vision took place in the same setting, and my eyes went wide as I saw Yami in his Egyptian attire, and behind him were others. I recognized a woman who looked exactly like Ishizu, two others I didn't recognize. But with them was Priest Seto.

Mareena looked conflicted as Bakura stood in front of her.

"Release Mareena now! Bakura!" Priest Seto demanded.

"I will not" Bakura spat. "She came to me of her own free will after you betrayed her!"

"I did no such thing!" Priest Seto roared. "If I didn't love her I wouldn't be here!"

"And what of that girl with the blue eyes and white hair?" Bakura sneered. "How come she has become your sole attention instead of the woman you promised to love and honor?!"

"That's enough!"

Priest Seto summoned a monster and ordered it to attack Bakura. Just as the attack was about to hit the thief Mareena suddenly placed herself in front of him and took the hit. Blood spilled onto the floor and Bakura caught the falling healer.

The wound Mareena had was bad and Bakura had tears in his eyes. He then drew Mareena close to him and wept.

I was finally brought back to the present, and I felt myself fall to the ground. Tears were falling from my face, and now I understood what Bakura went through so he could keep the woman he loved by his side, and instead, she paid the price.

Bakura's POV

I felt Erin's sadness and I closed my eyes. So she finally learned the truth about what happened 5,000 years ago. Of how she willingly put herself between that bastard priest's attack and myself.

"She didn't die you know"

I whirled around to see Silverwing in her spirit form.

"Don't try and convince me she lived Silverwing"

Thankfully I was alone.

Silverwing shook her head.

"Then the demon that poisoned your mind has lied to you, and still clouds your judgment thief," the dragoness stated. "But in time you will learn the truth"

She then disappeared, and that painful memory replayed in my mind, and for the first time in 5,000 years, I shed a tear.
