Azure Tears follows an alternate storyline where Byleth ends up being consumed by grief after the 5 year timeskip in Azure Moon. It chronicles her journey through that grief and how her journey, unlikely allies, and revelations change her view of how she fits within the larger war. (Pulling lore from both Three Houses and Three Hopes for this because, well... lore.)
