Reinhard had been dispatched along with spirit knight Julius Juukulius and Felix "Blue" Argyle to respond to the area near the capital centerpiece fountain. Under their command was a swiftly arranged medical team from the Kararagi-style inn the inter-camp communications were taking place. Of course, Natsuki Subaru and his beloved partner Beatrice were present, too. The former with a dissonance of relief, wariness and absolute horror displayed on his face. He'd been relieved to find out there were no civilian casualties or injuries, yes he was. But the horror came from the group of three currently in front of their own. Implications already gnawing at his reason, he decided to ask the supposed Sin Archbishops the first question that came to mind.
"How… did you get here?"
The group of three immediately adapted to their newfound surroundings. If one took a look at them, it would seem that they've lived in Lugunica their whole life. The most optimal method of achieving this façade however, was the merciless 'beating' of regular civilians for information regarding the nation they're in, its laws, political situation, economy and the highlights of recent news. Which prompted fearful civilians to report to every authority figure they could find about the 'Sin Archbishops' harassing the populace.
"Ma~ster, why not allow me to gather information instead of yourselves? Surely I am superior for such an undertaking, yes?" A woman asked, her voice like the unsheathing of a blade. She looks underclad compared to the two below her.
The man below her eyesight nods in acknowledgement, but disapproval. "This matter is far too important and delicate to be placed solely on you. We'd need you in-case someone is stupid enough to turn to alternatives. I'm sure my dear sister here agrees."
"Well then," She puts her thumb to her chin. A faked sign of pensiveness. " But why introduce yourselves as Sin Archbishops, allegedly the greatest threat to this nation, in its capital no less? It puts all of us in unnecessary danger by attracting attention?"
This time, the girl being held by her brother answers. "It's a calculated move." She nibbles on cookies before finishing her explanation. "We need all royal candidates present if we want to take the country in its entirety swiftly."
Her brother nods in agreement. "We'd prefer no bloodshed, and once we're done, the nation will be put in its place." He glances over to an open space. "Perfect. Check for surveillance and every latent danger. We want this to go as smoothly as possible."
The "angel" hums. "I understand."
No longer feeling boredom, a brightly dressed man replies in earnest.
"Hm. I could ask you the very same thing! Did he get you too? Do we have the same goal? Maybe-" The man rambling like an Archbishop is interrupted by Reinhard, specifically a bright, bright flash from a scabbard who promptly attempts to attack, eviscerate the opposing group until-.
"Bkulians!" The angel casts, her voice now oozing with discontent. She turns around to her master to check their status. Confirmation of their perfect health has her turn toward the opposing party. Subaru is still in shock, scenarios running through his head like multiple-toothed gears.
The light of the miniature star dissipates until the surroundings are visible again, audible, tangible.
"I would advise against that." The woman with strange tattoos and extraneous body parts states, as if she didn't just tank a hit from Reinhard van Astrea, the current Sword Saint, the strongest of this generation.
The brightly dressed man scowls, ingenuine. "Rude. I was getting to the good part." He concludes his rambling with a non-sequitur. He continues comforting his sister, outwardly impressed but inwardly calculating. She feels no fear in the slightest.
Subaru doesn't like being reminded that his dynamic with Beatrice is equal to the dynamic of the Japanese siblings. If the allegations about the three being high-ranking members of the witch cult were true, then that made him beyond uncomfortable.
"Cooldown finished." The man in the yellow shirt declares. "The questions will have to wait."
And as soon as that sentence ends, the group under question, along with Subaru's own are met with a dreamscape. The ground now a flat pattern reminiscent of a checkerboard, and the skies dark, if not brightened by the countless stars littered across it.
Subaru always had a fascination with stars, but he couldn't admire them when he had been sure that it had been noon just a moment ago.
Julius prepares to sheathe his sword. "State your name and your business. As a knight of the Dragon Kingdom of Lugunica, attacking innocent vulnerable civilians is inexcusable, which is why an interrogation is in order. I would prefer if no blood is shed…"
The latter part of that speech is ignored completely. "Oh. Us?"
Both siblings flash a mischievous smile. "We are the Sin Archbishops representing the Indulgence aspect of Sloth, _!" Silence howls, and no one dares to make a noise just yet.
Before anyone could ask them to repeat what they had just said for clarification.
Sora announces, "Oh dear, it seems we're the challengers this time. Well, how about we play a game? You state the rules this time."
