"Okay, let's do it one last time.
My name is Peter Parker. You may or may not know me, but if you have any memory or internet access, you've probably heard of me. I'm Spider-Man. The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, the one who swings from building to building, the one who messes with criminals and, sometimes, villains who have a plan for world domination.
But let's go back to the beginning.
Almost four years ago, when I was 14, a radioactive spider decided my life wasn't complicated enough and bit me. That's when everything changed. At the time, I didn't know what it meant to be a hero. I thought swinging around town, throwing a few punches, and getting some great pictures for the Daily Bugle would be enough. But... well, you know how the story goes. With great power... yeah, you know the rest.
I'm 18 now. Four long years of being Spider-Man. Four years of falls, blows, victories, and, yes, plenty of trouble. Time flies when you're web-slinging from skyscrapers for a living. I recently graduated high school, and you'd think that would be a relief. But guess what? It ended up being more complicated than I expected.
After graduation, I joined SHIELD to complete my training as Spider-Man. Yeah, working with Nick Fury and the gang was... interesting. I became part of a team with other heroes: Nova, White Tigress, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Together, we take on villains like the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus , and even Loki on a bad day. Yeah, that Loki. Who knew stopping a Norse god would be just another Tuesday for us?
Oh, and we also saved the world. Not once, not twice, but several times. Because of course, when you're Spider-Man, that's what you do. But hey, it wasn't all action and danger. There were some amazing times. My teammates became my family, my second home. They taught me to work as a team, to trust others. Even Nova, though she'll never admit she respects me, I know she likes me.
But then things changed. Not everything in a hero's life is like in an action movie. Sometimes, the villain doesn't lose. Sometimes, you don't get to save everyone.
First it was... well, I'd better start from the beginning. Because what comes next isn't easy to describe.
"But not everything in my life as Spider-Man was so bad. There were moments that gave me hope, that reminded me that, despite everything, good can prevail.
Norman Osborn. Yes, the Green Goblin himself, my worst enemy, the guy who tried to destroy me more times than I can count. Well, it turns out people can change. Norman stopped being the Green Goblin. It was... unexpected, to say the least, but I can't deny that he helped me and my colleagues at SHIELD a lot. He gave us information, technology, he even saved us on more than one occasion. I won't say we're friends, because... well, he's Norman. But he learns that even villains can find redemption.
Or so I thought. Because just when life seemed to give me a break, someone I never expected arrived: Harry. My best friend. My brother. Someone with whom I shared so many things... he became the new Green Goblin.
Harry was filled with hatred. With revenge. He couldn't forgive his father for everything he'd done, much less accept Norman's attempts at redemption. I tried to talk to him, to make him understand that this wasn't what he wanted, that hatred wouldn't get him anywhere. But Harry... Harry wouldn't listen.
Things get out of hand very quickly. One day, Harry took one of his father's planes. He was obsessed with destroying everything Norman had built. But that day, Harry didn't just destroy buildings. That day, he destroyed my life.
I lost two people. Two people who were my world. Mary Jane... my MJ. My partner, my companion, the person who always made me feel like Peter Parker mattered too, not just Spider-Man. And my Aunt May. My rock, my refuge, the woman who taught me everything I know about responsibility.
I can't even begin to describe what I felt. The pain. The guilt. Because there's always guilt. I always feel like I could have done more, that I could have gotten there sooner, that I could have saved them. But this time... I couldn't.
They say being a hero means carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. And for a long time I thought I could do it. But those days... were the darkest of my life. I felt completely empty.
I tried to remain the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But I wasn't. I lost my smile, my jokes. I lost my patience. And, yes, there were times when I couldn't control my fists.
That hurt more than any blow I'd ever taken. I've always tried to be better, to be someone people could trust. But after what Harry did... I felt like I couldn't. Someone who had been like a brother to me took everything away from me.
And yet... I couldn't hate him. Not completely. Harry ruined my life, yes. He took away the people I loved most. But I knew hate wouldn't get me anywhere. So you'll keep giving yourself chances. Trying to make him understand, to find his way back. Because if Norman Osborn could change... maybe Harry could too.
But honestly, I don't know. I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive him. I don't know if he'll ever want to be forgiven. All I know is that I carry all of this with me every time I put on the mask. Every time I go out there to be Spider-Man, I carry this weight... but I also carry the hope that, someday, things can be different."
"You know, I always thought that after losing everything, things couldn't get any worse. That I couldn't sink any lower. But, as always, I was wrong.
There's something I was never told about being Spider-Man: no matter how many times I try to do the right thing, how many times I want to save everyone, life will always find a way to hit you harder. And believe me, there are days when I feel like I can't take it anymore.
Sometimes memories haunt me. Moments that made me question everything I am, everything I do. Like that time I almost lost my friends...
[Flashback to the Ultimate Spider-Man series: Peter faces a serious moment, such as when he almost loses control of his powers or when SHIELD is under attack.]
And other times, I go back to those days I still don't fully understand... the days that seem ripped from a nightmare. Days when I wasn't enough. Days when I felt like the whole world was against me.
Flashbacks: The Present and the Future
Flashback: The maid and the young man
Peter lies wounded on the ground, clutching a young man who appears to be on the verge of death. The servant, with a cold expression, looks down on him as she raises a weapon to finish him off. Peter, with tears in his eyes, whispers, "I can't let you die too... I can't fail."
"Sometimes, I think the universe hates me. No matter how hard I try, there always seems to be someone ready to take away what matters most to me."
Flashback to the future
Peter runs through a dark forest, wounds bleeding on his suit. Behind him, giant dogs chase him, their barking echoing like thunder. Peter trips and falls, turning just in time to see the monsters rushing at him.
"Fear... never goes away. I can balance between skyscrapers and take on superpowered criminals, but there are days when... I just can't take it anymore."
Peter narrates again, his voice cracking with fear and deception:
"But you know what the worst part is? It's not the fights. It's not the hurts. The worst part is when someone betrays you. When someone looks you in the eye, someone you trusted, and stabs you in the back."
[Flashback to the future : A man wearing a yellow cloak and a medieval helmet stands in front of Peter. There is blood on the ground. Peter, on his knees, stares in disbelief as the man walks away, leaving Peter injured and alone.]
"You know you shouldn't trust anyone. But you do. And when you're betrayed, you realize the pain isn't just physical. It's something that stays with you, something you can't fix with cobwebs."
Peter continues narrating, while his tone changes to a more bitter one:
"And then there's the humiliation. Because people don't just want to see you fall. No, that would be too easy. They want to see you broken. They want to see you pleading, your feelings ripped to pieces."
[Flashback to the future: A clown, who appears to be royalty, mocks Peter in the middle of a hall full of nobles. Peter is standing next to another young man who looks equally embarrassed. The clown stares at them while the crowd looks on in disdain.]
"No matter how hard you try, there's always someone willing to remind you that you're just a kid in a mask. And sometimes, you start to believe it."
Peter's narration is suddenly cut off when a voice calls out to him from the background.
"Parker. Are you okay?"
Peter blinks, shaking his head as he returns to the present. He's in a briefing room with the Avengers. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are looking at him with concern. Peter, puzzled, tries to answer.
"Yeah, I'm... fine. I was just... thinking."
Tony crosses his arms, assessing him with a mixture of curiosity and concern.
"Well, stop thinking so much, kid. We have work to do."
Steve puts a hand on his shoulder, trying to reassure him.
"We're here to help you, Peter. You don't have to carry all of this alone."
But Peter, though grateful, knows they wouldn't fully understand. Because no one can understand what it means to be Spider-Man.
"Sometimes, I wonder if I'm a little masochistic. Because I always reject help. I always feel like I have to do it alone, that carrying everything myself is part of the deal of being Spider-Man. Maybe it's because I don't want others to suffer because of me. Or maybe... maybe I'm just afraid of being let down again.
So when Captain America offered me his support, when Tony Stark looked at me like he really cared, I did what I always do: I refused his help.
"I'm fine," I told them. A lie. But what else could I do? I wasn't going to drag the Avengers into my problems. They hold the fate of the world in their hands. I'm just a boy in a mask.
Peter shook off the thoughts and focused on the meeting. He sat at one side of the round table in Avengers Tower, surrounded by Earth's Mightiest Heroes. At the center, Captain America was speaking, his posture firm, his voice clear and commanding. Everyone else was attentive, listening to every word.
Peter, on the other hand, was in another world.
Sighing, he slumped back into the chair, arms hanging at his sides, as if the weight of the world were upon him. His eyes wandered from Steve Rogers to the table in front of him, where his Spider-Man mask lay. The red and blue fabric, with black lines tracing the shape of a web, was a reminder of who he was... and everything he'd lost.
As he stared at the mask, something hit him. An image. A flash. It was so quick that Peter wasn't sure if it was a memory, a nightmare, or something else.
First, he saw his mask. But not as it was now. It was stained with blood. Not someone else's, but his own. A hand was holding it, but he couldn't see who it belonged to. It was as if he were looking through broken glass.
Then, another flash. Faster, more violent. This time, he saw something different. He saw Spider-Man, himself, standing in the middle of a dark forest. Something glittered in the gloom: a weapon, a flail, moving like a snake. Before he could react, he saw the weapon tear one of his arms completely off, leaving a trail of blood in the air.
Peter jumped slightly in his chair, his breathing quickening.
Back to reality: "It was only a second. A blink. But it felt like all the air had been knocked out of my lungs. My heart was pounding, and my head... my head was spinning. What the hell was that? A memory? A dream? Or ... something yet to come?"
Peter looked away from the mask. He covered his face with his hands, trying to calm himself, to catch his breath. He closed his eyes, but the vision was still there, seared into his mind like a fresh scar.
Beside him, Nova watched him out of the corner of her eye. She'd seen Peter jump in his chair, and now she saw him breathing unevenly. Nova frowned and nudged him in the arm.
"Hey, Parker, are you okay?" she asked, keeping her voice low so as not to disrupt the meeting.
Peter lowered his hands slowly, looking at him with tired eyes and an attempt at a smile that never quite came together .
"Yeah, I'm fine, Nova. Just... I'm tired, that's all."
Nova looked at him skeptically, tilting her head. "Tired? Brother, you look like you've seen a ghost... or worse."
Peter didn't respond immediately. Instead, he looked back at the mask on the table. His reflection in the mask's white eyes seemed paler, weaker. Finally, he sighed.
"It's just... nothing. I'm fine. Focus on the meeting, Sam ."
Nova didn't look convinced, but nodded. "Okay, Parker. But if you need to talk... you know where to find me."
Peter just nodded, but didn't say anything else. His gaze returned to the mask, but this time he avoided looking at it for too long. He didn't want to see... that again.
Captain America finished speaking, closing his speech with the calm authority he always had. He then looked at Tony Stark, who slowly rose from his seat. With a casual gesture, Stark picked up a stack of documents from the table and held them up.
"Okay, guys, time to divide up the work. Ready to save the world again? Because I'm ready to stay here and do something more productive... like drinking coffee," he said with a smirk.
Everyone in the room looked intently as Tony and Captain America began handing out missions.
Tony Stark distributes the missions
Stark, with his typical casual attitude, began naming the heroes for each mission as he handed out the documents.
"First, mission to South America. Natasha, Clint, Bucky. This one's yours. Bring me some tropical souvenirs, okay?"
The trio took the document and left the room with determination.
"Next, a mission to Eastern Europe. Thor, Bruce, Carol. Oh, and Thor, you won't turn the mission into a Viking party, okay?"
Thor snorted a laugh, but stepped closer as he took the document.
"Third, a mission to Africa. T'Challa , Sam, Wanda. You three have the resources and the style to handle this. Don't make me look bad."
The heroes nodded and took the file.
"And finally, a mission to the Arctic. Steve, Rhodey , Vision . It sounds cold, but you're warm enough to melt the problems."
Captain America simply listened and took the document.
With all the documents distributed, only one remained. Tony turned to the group of young heroes, with a smile that promised something interesting.
Tony Stark explains the mission of the New Avengers:
"And now, for the group with the most energy, enthusiasm... and, honestly, the greatest potential to screw something up: you guys. The New Avengers. Iron Fist , Power Man, Nova, White Tiger, Agent Venom ... and of course, the Fantastic Four Spider-People: Peter, Miles, Gwen and Ben."
Tony handed the document to Peter, leaning slightly toward him with a mocking smile. "I'm leaving this in your hands, Parker. You're the leader here, the brains of the team. Don't let me down, okay?"
Peter opened the file and scanned the pages. The first thing he saw was the target's name: Silver Samurai . His companions, seeing the word "Japan," were instantly excited.
"Japan! Yes! Let's go to Japan again!" Nova shouted, raising a fist in the air.
"This is going to be epic!" White Tiger added, grinning from ear to ear.
"I hope we have time for ramen," Gwen commented, laughing.
Peter, though excited, remained calmer. Holding the document, he listened as Tony began to explain the mission.
"Okay, listen up, kids. This isn't a vacation trip. Your mission is serious. Your target is a mutant known as Silver Samurai , a very dangerous guy with a katana that can cut through just about anything, including your ego if you piss him off too much.
This guy has a complicated background. Former criminal , former leader of a ninja organization, and, most recently, suspected of involvement in illegal activities involving advanced technology. We believe he has connections to arms smuggling and vibranium thefts . You need to infiltrate, observe, and gather intelligence. No drawing attention to yourself. Understand?"
Tony looked at each of them, making sure they understood the seriousness of the mission.
"Now, before any of you decide to do something stupid, let me be clear: this is not a mission to engage him directly. If you see him, back off. We don't want open conflict, just information. Any questions?"
"Yeah," Nova interrupted with a smile, "can we use the advanced jet again? Because last time it was amazing."
Tony rolled his eyes and sighed. "Yeah, you can use the jet. But don't scratch it, don't blow it up, and, for the love of all that's good in this world, don't try to race it. Understood?"
The group moved forward excitedly, while Nova and Power Man fist-bumped in celebration.
Despite the excitement of his teammates, Peter remained silent. He stared out the window of Avengers Tower, watching the city lights as excitement filled the room behind him. There was a twinkle in his eyes, a small but genuine smile on his lips. He wasn't excited about the mission itself. Not about the Silver Samurai or the advanced jet.
I was excited because I would see someone again. An old friend from across the continent.
"Subaru," he murmured to himself, barely audible. That name brought with it a mix of emotions: hope, nostalgia, and something else he couldn't describe. The thought of seeing him again gave him strength, even though he knew things wouldn't be easy.
Flashback: Three years ago
The classroom was full of students concentrating on their lessons... well, almost all of them. In the right corner of the room, Sam Alexander (Nova), arms crossed and head resting on his desk, snored softly as the sun's rays streamed through the window and shone directly into his face.
At his side, Danny Rand ( Iron Fist ) was scribbling drawings in his notebook, clearly distracted. Luke Cage ( Power Man) was leaning forward, squinting at Danny's paper, while muttering, "Is that a dragon? It looks more like a giant chicken." Danny shot him a look, but didn't say anything.
In the front row, Ava Ayala (White Tiger) diligently took notes, while Peter Parker was completely absorbed in what his professor, Dr. Curt Connors, was saying. Peter was so focused, he looked like he was about to jump out of his chair with excitement.
Professor Connors in action:
"And so, if we apply the correct formula, we can calculate the exact amount of potential energy in this chemical reaction," Dr. Connors explained, writing equations on the board with an energy that only a science geek could muster.
Peter raised his hand excitedly. "But what if the reaction had a different catalyst? Would it change the rate of the reaction or the amount of energy released?"
Connors smiled, clearly delighted by the question. "Excellent observation, Parker. That depends on the catalyst. But it's a question we'll explore in the next lab."
Meanwhile, Luke muttered under his breath to Danny, "How can he get so worked up about this? Someone please snap him out of his nerdy haze."
Danny laughed. "Leave him alone, man. This is his kingdom."
The change of plans:
Suddenly, the sound of the bell rang in the classroom, signaling the end of class. The students began gathering their things and heading for the door. Sam, who was still asleep, was nudged awake by Luke.
"Hey, Alexander! Get up before they leave you here!" Luke said, while Sam mumbled something unintelligible and staggered to his feet.
Before the students could leave, the classroom door opened and another teacher walked in. It was the deputy headmaster, his expression serious but calm.
"Please take your seats again. I have an important announcement to make," he said, gesturing for everyone to return to their seats.
The students, somewhat confused, sat back down, while a murmur of curiosity filled the classroom.
The announcement:
"As you know, our school is always looking for opportunities to enrich our students' education. Therefore, we have organized a cultural exchange with a school in Japan. Three students from our school will travel to Japan for a week, while three Japanese students will come here to New York. It will be a unique experience to learn about other cultures and share knowledge."
Excitement began to fill the air. Students exchanged glances and excited whispers, wondering who the lucky winners would be.
The teacher continued, "After reviewing grades, class participation, and other factors, we have selected three students to represent our school. The chosen students are... Danny Rand, Peter Parker, and Gwen Stacy ."
The room erupted in applause and congratulations. Danny raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised, as Luke slapped him hard on the back. "Look at that, Danny! You're going to be an international ambassador!"
Peter, for his part, was completely stunned. "Wait, what? Me? Japan?" he muttered, while Gwen, from her seat, smiled at him. "I think we're in for a great adventure, don't you, Parker?"
The exit:
As the announcement ended and the students began to file out toward the buses, the group of friends gathered on the path. Luke, as always, led the conversation.
cool enough to represent us," Luke joked, giving him a light shove on the shoulder.
"Oh, right, because you're the definition of ' cool ,' Luke," Peter replied sarcastically, adjusting his backpack.
As they walked toward the buses, Luke changed the subject. "Hey, Parker, have you heard about that new game? Yggdrasil , I think it's called. It's a DMMO-RPG. Virtual reality, completely immersive, and with a super-detailed medieval world."
Peter frowned. "A medieval game? I'm not much of a fan of that sort of thing. Well, except for World of Warcraft. That's a classic."
"Come on, Parker. This one isn't like the others. It's more... epic. Besides, you'll need someone to help me not look like a noob ," Luke insisted.
"Eh, I'll think about it," Peter replied, shrugging. "Though I'm not promising anything. The last time I played something medieval, I ended up losing to a dragon. Not my finest moment."
In a sunlit classroom, Japanese students enjoyed their free time before the next class began. Laughter and conversation filled the air, as groups of friends chatted animatedly among themselves. However, not everyone participated in the hustle and bustle.
In a corner of the classroom, a dark-haired boy with a serious expression watched his classmates. Subaru Natsuki , as always, was alone. Not because he was a loser, nor because he didn't try. In fact, he wanted to socialize. But his face, which always seemed to have a villainous or delinquent expression, made others automatically stay away from him. It didn't help that he also had a habit of saying strange things or acting in ridiculous ways without warning, almost like a Japanese Deadpool , although much more harmless.
Subaru sighed as he tried to approach a group of classmates who were discussing a popular TV show . But once he reached them, the group quickly found an excuse to disperse. Subaru looked down at the ground, scratching the back of his neck.
"It's my face, right? My face screams 'gangster movie villain.' If only I could change it... although, well, I'd probably still be weird anyway," he muttered to himself with a self-satisfied smile.
Subaru wasn't someone who took things too seriously. At least, he didn't show it affected him. He tried to laugh at himself and the situation, though he didn't always manage to hide the pang of loneliness he felt.
Change of atmosphere: The class begins
When the bell rang, all the students returned to their seats. Subaru, still reeling from his thoughts, sat at his desk while looking around. There was a sense of quiet in the classroom, but Subaru couldn't help but mutter something under his breath.
"Well, I guess I'll never see Kasuma again . Ah, Kasuma , the hero who dropped out of school to become a hikikomori . Although, come to think of it, wouldn't it be great to be a hikikomori ? No classes, no tests... Pure freedom!"
One of the nearby students glanced at him and muttered, "There goes Subaru again, saying strange things."
Subaru ignored the comment as he crossed his arms, smiling to himself. However, upon hearing the words " Kasuma " and " hikikomori ," a couple more students began whispering amongst themselves. Kasuma , a student who was once part of that class, had dropped out of school and become a hikikomori .
What is a hikikomori ?
(Brief narrative explanation for the reader or viewer.)
A hikikomori is a person, usually young, who completely isolates themselves from society. They don't leave their rooms, avoid any social interaction, and, in extreme cases, are completely dependent on their parents or relatives for survival. This phenomenon is common in Japan, where social and academic pressure can be overwhelming.
To Subaru's classmates, Kasuma was nothing more than a distant memory, an example of someone who "failed" to live up to society's expectations.
The teacher's announcement
Suddenly, the sliding doors of the classroom opened, and the teacher entered. All the students quickly stood up, bowing and greeting in unison: "Good morning, teacher."
The teacher pointed with a professional smile. "Good morning. You may sit down."
When everyone was seated, the professor put his books on his desk and addressed the group in a formal but exciting tone.
"As you know, our school is always looking for ways to expand learning beyond our borders. Therefore, I am pleased to announce that we have organized a cultural exchange with a school in the United States. Three of our students will have the opportunity to travel to New York and experience this unique experience."
The hall immediately filled with excited murmurs. Subaru, hearing this, widened his eyes in excitement. "That sounds great! A chance to conquer America with my... strange villain face!"
The teacher ignored Subaru's comments and continued. "After reviewing academic performance and participation in activities, we have selected two students: Haruto Tanaka and Aiko Yamamoto." The names were greeted with applause. The classmates congratulated Haruto and Aiko, who stood up to give a small bow.
"However," the teacher continued, "the third student we had selected was Kasuma . But, as you know, he dropped out of school and has become a hikikomori . It's a shame, another waste to society."
Subaru frowned at the professor's comment. "Another waste? That's not fair," he muttered to himself.
The teacher looked around the classroom. "Since we can't count on Kasuma , we've decided to hold a special exam to determine who will be the third student to travel abroad. Everyone will participate, and the highest scorer will be the one who completes the exchange."
The exam and the results
The classroom bustled with activity as the students took the special exam. Subaru, though excited, knew he had little chance of winning. "I'm not the best student, but maybe my charisma can make up for it. Or, well, charisma? Does that count if everyone thinks I'm a villain?"
When the exam was over, the teacher quickly checked the answers and announced the result.
"The third student who will be traveling to New York is... Ryota Sato."
Subaru felt the emotion drain from him. His shoulders slumped as his smile faded, though he tried to hide it with a nervous laugh. "Well, I guess America isn't on the list for Subaru Natsuki . It's a shame, but it's okay."
As his classmates congratulated Ryota , Subaru stared out the window, trying to convince himself that he didn't care.
Back with Peter
Fury 's unmistakable voice , serious but with a touch of calm, sounded on the other end of the line.
Nick Fury : "So you're worried about going to Japan, Parker? Leaving New York without a Spider-Man for a while?"
Peter sighed , carefully placing a T-shirt in his suitcase. "Well, yeah. I don't want to sound paranoid, but you know how this city is. If I'm not here, who's going to take care of the problems? What if something big happens while I'm gone?"
Nick Fury gave a small snort, as if he was used to Peter's worries. "Relax, Parker. It's just a journey. Heroes need a break every now and then, too. Trust me, having some normal life is just as important as saving the world."
Peter raised an eyebrow. "Normal life? Are we talking about the same group of heroes who face off against gods, alien monsters, and killer robots?"
Nick Fury : "Yeah, and those same heroes have lives behind their costumes. Steve Rogers still goes to museums and listens to music from his era. Natasha Romanoff cooks when she has the time. Even Tony Stark, with all his ego, spends days on end fixing things just because it relaxes him. So yeah, Parker, you need to have some normalcy in your life."
Peter lightly as he zipped up his suitcase. "I guess that makes sense. But still , are you sure New York will be okay? You know how my colleagues are... they're not exactly the epitome of responsibility."
Nick Fury : "Don't worry about them. Your teammates who aren't going to Japan will handle the problems here. And to make sure they don't do anything stupid, I've already assigned a member of the Avengers to supervise them."
That made Peter pause for a moment, his shoulders relaxing. "A member of the Avengers? Who?"
Nick Fury : "I can't reveal any names, but let's just say he's someone I can keep under control. So stop worrying about everything and enjoy the ride. It's only for a few months, Parker. Trust me."
Peter breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Mr. Fury . I suppose you're right. It's just... you know, this job doesn't let me switch off."
Nick Fury : "I know. But this is an order, Parker. Relax. And get me some decent sushi when you get back. Fury out."
The line went dead, leaving Peter with a small smile. He closed his suitcase and looked around his room, making sure he hadn't forgotten anything.
Later, Peter found himself standing on the threshold of his house, his suitcase packed and his passport in hand. His Aunt May was standing in front of him, a mixture of pride and concern on her face. It was the first time Peter would be away from home for so long, and although she trusted him, she couldn't help but give him some advice.
Aunt May: "Now, Peter, always remember to keep your things with you. Don't trust strangers. Don't accept candy from anyone. And please wash your hands after touching anything on that plane."
Peter rolled his eyes with a smile, though he appreciated his aunt's concern. "Aunt May, I'm not a child. I think I can handle it."
Aunt May crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, really? Well, Mr. 'I Can Handle It,' don't forget you're still my nephew. And I want you to be careful, you hear me?"
Peter got all excited and leaned over to hug her. "I will, Aunt May. I promise to call you as soon as I get to Japan."
Aunt May hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go. "I'm going to miss you, Peter. The house will be so quiet without you."
Peter: "It won't be that long. Just seven months."
Aunt May: "It'll be an eternity for me. Now go before I start crying."
Peter let go of her and picked up his suitcase. "See you soon, Aunt May."
As he walked toward the taxi that would take him to the airport, Peter couldn't help but look back and see his aunt waving goodbye from the door. He felt a pang of nostalgia, but also a growing excitement for what was to come.
In the taxi, Peter looked out the window as the vehicle traveled through the streets of New York. The city lights, the skyscrapers, and the bustle of people were a landscape he knew by heart, but one he wouldn't see for the next seven months.
"How many times have I seen these streets while patrolling?" Peter thought, resting his chin on his hand. "I never realized how much I'd miss them."
The taxi finally arrived at the airport, where Peter got out with his suitcase and headed toward the terminal. While waiting for his flight, he gazed out the airport's enormous windows, watching the planes take off and land. He knew this trip would be a unique experience, but he couldn't help but feel some anxiety.
As the plane began its climb and broke through the clouds, Peter, Danny, and Gwen settled into their seats, ready for the ride. With his seatbelt fastened, Peter pulled out or his Japanese notebook, reviewing words and phrases as the plane reached its cruising altitude.
An hour later, the plane's crew began serving the food. Peter, excited to try typical Japanese food , couldn't help but smile at the dishes on offer. "Look at this!" he said, excitedly holding up a steaming bowl of udon . "This is more than just noodles. It's an experience."
Gwen, smiling, took her tray. "How about a bento? This looks amazing. I've never had airplane food that looks this good."
Danny, still half asleep, joined the conversation with a yawn. "Food? Where?" He sat up straight and looked around.
The three shared a laugh as they enjoyed their meal, talking about what they hoped to find in Japan. After a while, Gwen and Danny immersed themselves in their devices, searching for entertainment on the plane's screens.
As Gwen browsed the Japanese TV show options, Peter decided there was no better way to immerse himself in the culture than by watching a classic film. He turned the screen toward him and started watching Godzilla , enjoying the iconic scenes of destruction as the monster rampaged through Tokyo.
"This is amazing!" Peter exclaimed, laughing at the film's special effects. "It may be a classic, but it's still entertaining. Godzilla is king of the monsters!"
Gwen, without looking up from her screen, replied, "I'm watching a show about a group of friends who become video game heroes. It's so fun. Look, they're in a fantasy world now!"
As time passed, the conversation faded, and they gradually grew more comfortable. After an hour of entertainment, Gwen and Danny, exhausted from the journey and the meal, drifted off to sleep. Danny leaned back in his seat, his head tilted slightly to one side, while Gwen closed her eyes with a small smile on her face.
Peter, on the other hand, couldn't stop staring out the window. The clouds stretched out like a soft, fluffy sea, and the sky was a deep blue. Sunlight filtered through the window, illuminating his face as he contemplated the beauty of the journey.
As he looked outside, Peter's thoughts drifted to what this trip meant. "Japan... a place full of culture, history, and opportunities to learn. Not just about the language, but about life itself."
He allowed himself a moment of tranquility, feeling like a world of adventure was about to open up before him. He'd already faced supervillains and monsters, but the idea of exploring a new country and its culture excited him in a different way.
"I hope this trip helps me grow," Peter thought as the plane continued on its way to Japan. "Not just as Spider-Man, but as Peter Parker as well."
The plane began its gentle descent, and a bright light filtered through the window, illuminating Peter's face. He blinked a few times before realizing they had arrived. A smile spread across his face as he looked down at the Japanese landscape from above. Excited, he leaned toward his friends.
" Hey , guys! Wake up! We're in Japan," Peter said, gently nudging Danny, who was fast asleep, and gently touching Gwen's shoulder.
Gwen opened her eyes slowly, yawning as she stretched. "Are we here yet? Oh, God, I can't believe it! " she exclaimed, looking out the window excitedly.
Danny, still half asleep, mumbled, "What time is it...? Are we landed yet?"
"We're almost there," Peter replied, pointing out the window. "Look at that. It's incredible."
Narita International Airport , one of Tokyo's main airports. The three friends fastened their seatbelts as the plane taxied down the runway, and soon found themselves walking through the terminal, excited for what lay ahead.
Meeting with the Japanese school:
After collecting their bags, Peter, Gwen, and Danny noticed an older man standing next to a group of Japanese students. The man was holding a sign that read in English: " Welcome. " to Japan " along with the name of the school that would receive them.
Peter squinted to read the sign and then listen. "It's our school. It's them," he said, pointing at the group.
The three approached the man, who turned out to be a professor. Peter, showing respect, bowed to him. The professor, surprised and pleased, returned the bow. Gwen and Danny, following Peter's example, also bowed.
"Welcome to Japan," the professor said in Japanese, with a warm smile.
Before Gwen or Danny could respond, Peter spoke in fluent Japanese: "Thank you so much for having us. It's an honor to be here."
The professor raised his eyebrows, clearly impressed. "Do you speak Japanese?" he asked, still in his native language.
Peter approached modestly. "I've been studying a little. I want to make sure I can communicate well while I'm here."
Gwen and Danny looked at him in disbelief. Gwen was the first to speak. "Since when did you speak Japanese so well? And why didn't you tell us?"
Peter shrugged, smiling. "Well, it's not perfect, but I thought it would be helpful. Besides, I wanted to surprise you."
Danny burst out laughing. "Well, you did it. Now I feel like a complete noob."
The professor, still impressed, welcomed them back and introduced them to another man, who would be their guide during their stay. "He'll take you to where you'll be staying and show you the school," he explained.
Interaction with Japanese students:
Before boarding the vehicle that would take them to their destination, the three friends took a moment to greet the Japanese students waiting for them. Gwen, always sociable, approached a group of girls and began speaking to them in English. Although the girls didn't understand everything she said, her enthusiasm was contagious, and soon they were laughing and trying to communicate with gestures and basic words.
"I love your hair!" Gwen exclaimed, pointing at one of the girls, who blushed and shyly replied, "Thank you."
Meanwhile, Danny found three boys who shared his interest in martial arts. Although the language barrier was a challenge, they managed to communicate by pointing and mentioning the names of fighting styles. "Karate? Judo?" Danny asked, and the boys nodded excitedly, starting to talk among themselves while pointing at Danny.
Peter, for his part, became the center of attention. Not because he's particularly striking, but because his ability to speak fluent Japanese amazed everyone. Students approached him, asking questions in both Japanese and English, and Peter answered with ease in both languages.
"Where did you learn Japanese?" one of the students asked.
"I've been studying on my own," Peter replied, smiling. "I want to make sure I can understand and respect your culture while I'm here."
The group of students looked at him in admiration, and one of them commented, "You're very dedicated. It will be a pleasure to have you at our school."
After a while, the teacher called the three friends, indicating it was time to leave. "I'll see you in class," Peter said in Japanese, bidding farewell to the group with a bow.
The journey to your destination:
The three friends boarded the vehicle that would take them to their accommodation. Gwen and Danny, excited, pressed themselves against the windows, taking in everything around them. The streets of Tokyo were alive with neon lights, shops, and people hurrying by.
"Look at that!" Gwen exclaimed, pointing at the Tokyo Tower in the distance. "It's even more impressive in person."
Danny ascended, marveling. "This is incredible. Everything is so... different."
Peter, though also impressed, had his attention fixed on something else. "Is that a bullet train?" he asked, pointing at a train speeding past on the nearby tracks.
"Yes, it is," the guide replied. "It's one of the fastest trains in the world."
The three of them watched their friends on the train with fascination, but what truly left them speechless was when, in the distance, the majestic Mount Fuji appeared. The mountain, with its snow-capped peak, looked like something out of a postcard.
"Wow," Gwen murmured, her eyes sparkling. "It's...beautiful."
Danny ascended, wordless, while Peter simply listened, sensing that this trip would be an unforgettable experience.
After an exciting journey through the streets of Tokyo, the group finally arrived at the house that would be their home for the next seven months. It was a beautiful two-story residence, with a traditional Japanese architectural style that took their breath away.
"Look at this!" Gwen exclaimed, spinning around to admire every detail. "It's incredible! It looks like something out of a movie."
Danny nods, his eyes shining. "Yeah, it's a lot more than I expected. This is going to be great!"
Peter, smiling, stepped forward to open the front door. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go in and see our rooms."
The three friends entered the house, amazed by the beauty of the interior. The rice paper walls, tatami floors, and wooden details welcomed them into a world completely different from what they were used to.
Once inside, each of them went to explore the different rooms, looking for what would be their personal space during their stay.
Gwen excitedly peeked into one of the rooms overlooking the garden. "Guys, look at this! It has a little balcony. It's perfect!"
Danny, for his part, stopped in front of a room with a larger tatami mat. "Hey, Peter, I think this will be mine. It has enough space for my martial arts training."
Peter, meanwhile, headed to a room with a window overlooking the street. "I like this one. It has good natural light and feels quiet."
Once everyone had chosen their room, they gathered in the main hall, unable to contain their excitement.
"I can't believe we're actually here!" Gwen said, grinning from ear to ear.
Danny nods, laughing. "Yeah, this is going to be amazing! Imagine everything we're going to learn and experience."
However, Peter's expression became a little more serious. "Yes, it will be a great experience, but don't forget that we also have to study. Remember that Japanese is not an easy language, and we have to be prepared."
Gwen and Danny let out a groan of frustration, but Peter glared at them steadily.
"I know, I know, you guys wanted to come for a tour of Tokyo, but we need to master the basics first. We can't just wander around without being able to communicate properly," Peter explained.
Gwen crossed her arms, finding it annoying. "Okay, Mr. Responsible. I suppose you're right. But at least let us explore the house for now, okay?"
Peter, irritated, nodded. "Sure, go see your new home. I want to see every corner, too."
The three friends scattered, excited to begin this new adventure in Japan. Although Peter knew they would have to work hard to adapt, he couldn't wait to see what this trip had in store for them.
The morning sun illuminated the house as Peter, Gwen, and Danny prepared for their first day at Japanese school. Everyone was excited, if a little nervous, as they put on the school uniforms they had been given the day before.
Gwen, looking at her reflection in a full-length mirror, frowned as she adjusted her skirt. "It's not that I mind wearing a uniform, but... does the skirt need to be so short? It barely covers enough, and I can't help but feel it looks... well, you know." She gestured uncomfortably to her reflection.
Peter, who was adjusting his tie in front of another mirror, couldn't help but chuckle. "What's wrong, Gwen? Worried someone might see your underwear ? Well, don't worry, I'm sure no one will notice... unless you have Barbie underwear."
Danny, who was buttoning his shirt, joined in the laughter. "Barbie? Really? Gwen, I thought we were past that stage."
Gwen turned to them with an indignant expression, crossing her arms. "So what if I like Barbie? I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Besides, she's a cultural icon! I don't understand why you're making fun of her."
Peter raised his hands in surrender, still smiling amusedly. "All right, all right. Don't mess with Barbie. Now, can we talk about how weird we all look in these uniforms?"
The three friends looked at each other, assessing their new outfits. Peter and Danny wore the typical Japanese men's uniform, with dark pants, white shirts , and crisp blazers. Gwen, meanwhile, wore the women's uniform with a pleated skirt and matching blazer.
Peter adjusted his jacket and looked at himself in the mirror, tilting his head. "It's weird... I never thought I'd wear a Japanese uniform. I'd seen them in anime, but to think it actually exists and that I'm now wearing one... It's a little surreal."
"That's true," Gwen stated, still adjusting her skirt. "I always thought uniforms looked nice in TV shows and movies, but I didn't expect them to be so formal in real life. Although I must admit, they're stylish."
Danny shrugged, digging a hand into his pants pocket. "It's not bad. It's comfortable, although I'm not a fan of wearing a tie. But what really surprises me is this." He pointed at the school portfolio they'd been given.
Peter picked up his own briefcase and held it up, studying it as if it were an unfamiliar artifact. "A briefcase? Is this what they use instead of backpacks? It's so... different. It feels weird not carrying a normal backpack."
Gwen inspected hers too, opening and closing it curiously. "It's stylish, but I'm not sure it's practical. How am I supposed to carry all my stuff in here? I'm used to a backpack I can fit everything in."
Danny laughed, holding up the briefcase with one hand. "Well, at least it makes us look like serious students. Maybe we should get used to it. Maybe it's part of the Japanese experience."
Peter ascended, tucking his briefcase under his arm. "I guess so. It's always interesting to learn how things are done in other countries. Although, honestly, I still find it hard to believe this is part of everyday life here."
When they were ready, the three friends left the house, feeling the cool morning breeze. The streets were quiet, with only a few pedestrians and students walking toward their destinations. The sky was clear, and the cherry trees lining the road were beginning to bloom, adding a touch of beauty to the landscape.
Peter looked at his watch and then at his friends. "Don't rush. We have plenty of time before school starts. We could walk at a normal pace and enjoy the walk."
Gwen took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment. "Is it always like this? It's so calm and peaceful... It's like everything is perfectly synchronized."
Danny, hands in his pockets, looked around. "Yeah, it's very different from New York. There, everything is noise, traffic, and chaos. Here, even the air feels cleaner."
Peter nodded, smiling as he walked beside them. "It's part of the charm of Japan. But remember, this isn't just a walk. We're going to school, and we have a lot to learn. Especially you two, who still haven't made much progress with the language."
Gwen rolled her eyes. "Yes, we know, Mr. Parker. But at least let us enjoy ourselves a little before you start lecturing us about Japanese grammar."
Danny laughed. "Yes, Peter. We know you're the one in charge of the group, but relax a little. This is our first day, after all."
Peter laughed slightly, but he couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and responsibility. He knew this trip would be unforgettable, but he also wanted to make sure they made the most of their time in Japan, both academically and culturally.
The group of three finally arrived at the school entrance. In front of them stood an imposing building, with modern architecture but with traditional touches. The Japanese students walked toward the entrance calmly and orderly, some chatting among themselves and others politely greeting their classmates.
"Wow," Gwen murmured, looking around. "This is amazing. It's much nicer than our school in New York."
Danny ascended, adjusting his school bag under his arm. "Yeah, although it feels a little... intimidating? Everything seems so organized."
The three of them walked through the main doors and began walking down the hallway. However, just as they were about to continue, Peter raised a hand, stopping them.
"Wait, wait!" he said, looking down and pointing at the ground. "We can't keep walking in these shoes."
Gwen and Danny looked at him, confused. "What do you mean?" Gwen asked. "Why can't we keep going? Everyone else is."
Peter pointed to an area by the entrance, where there was a row of lockers. "Look over there. Those are the lockers where students leave their street shoes. Here in Japan, it's customary to change shoes before entering school. It's a matter of cleanliness and respect for shared spaces."
Danny looked at the lockers, then at Peter. "Really? Change shoes? Why's that such a big deal?"
Peter crossed his arms, adopting his usual "nerdy teacher" tone. "Well, for the Japanese, cleanliness is fundamental. Changing your shoes upon entering an enclosed space, like a school or a home, is a way of keeping the surroundings clean and separate from the dust and dirt outside. It's also a tradition that reflects their respect for shared spaces and the people who use them."
Gwen raised an eyebrow, looking down at her own shoes. "What if we don't? Do we get in trouble?"
Peter irritably shook his head. "It's not like they'll punish you, but it would be considered very disrespectful. It's one of those things you just do to show you appreciate their customs. Besides, we don't want to stand out in a negative way, right?"
Danny sighed, shrugging. "Okay, okay. Let's go find our lockers."
The group headed toward their lockers, where they found small name tags with their names written in katakana, the phonetic Japanese writing system. Peter snorted at the sight of his name, while Gwen and Danny tried to decipher theirs.
"Is this mine?" Gwen asked, pointing to a locker.
"Yes, it says ' Gu -en' in katakana," Peter replied, opening his own.
Each opened their locker and found a pair of indoor school shoes, known as uwabaki . They were simple white with blue accents for boys and red for girls.
"Are these the shoes we're supposed to wear?" Danny asked, holding up one of his and looking at it curiously. "They don't look very comfortable."
"They're light and practical," Peter explained as he took off his street shoes and put on his uwabaki . "And they're designed to be worn inside the school. Think of them as a way to keep everything clean and tidy."
Gwen took off hers, looking at the Japanese students around her doing the same. "Well, I can't complain. At least they're more comfortable than the heels I had to wear to the last family party."
Danny, now wearing the uwabaki , took a couple of steps. "They're not that bad. Although it still seems a little strange to have a pair of shoes just for school."
Peter, irritably, adjusted his own. "It's part of the experience. If we want to adapt, we have to get used to these things."
Once the three were ready, they left their street shoes in their lockers and carefully closed the doors. With their briefcases in hand, they began walking through the hallways, this time with the uwabaki stands .
"Well, can we go to class now?" Gwen asked, with a sarcastic smile.
"Yes, now we do," Peter replied, laughing. "And remember, we still have plenty of time, so there's no need to rush. It's best to take it slow."
As they walked, they noticed the hallways were narrower than those at their school in New York, but they were also spotlessly clean. Students greeted them curiously, some whispering to each other at the sight of the new foreigners.
"This is completely different from what I'm used to," Danny commented, looking around. "Everything seems so... disciplined."
Gwen ascended, looking at the Japanese posters hanging on the walls. "Yeah, even the students seem calmer. I'm not used to the hallways not being total chaos."
Peter, who was walking a little further ahead, turned to them with a smile. "It's part of the culture. You'll see, there are many things that will be different, but that's the idea, right? To learn and experience something new."
Gwen and Danny looked at each other with a mixture of excitement and nervousness, but they both smiled, ready to face the day ahead.
Peter and Gwen approached the classroom door, where a group of students were chatting animatedly. As they slid the door open, the murmuring sound immediately stopped, and all eyes turned to the new foreigners who had just entered.
"Wow, how cozy!" Gwen murmured, feeling everyone's gaze on them. "Is it normal for everyone to look at us like that?"
Peter, nervous, nervous. "I guess we're a little... different. But don't worry, I'm just curious."
Upon entering, they noticed that some students weren't yet seated, enjoying the opportunity to socialize before class began. The atmosphere was friendly, but the attention they received made them both feel a little out of place.
"Hi," Peter said, raising his hand in a shy greeting. "I'm Peter Parker, and this is Gwen Stacy. We're new here."
A murmur of surprise ran through the room, and some students began whispering among themselves. A girl in the back, with long, dark hair, approached with a smile. "Hi! I'm Yuki. Welcome to our school. It's great to have new students."
Gwen excitedly, relieved by the warmth of the welcome. "Thank you, Yuki. We're excited to be here."
Meanwhile, Danny, who had been a little further back, joined them. "Hey? I'm Danny. I hope you don't mind us being here. We just want to learn and make friends."
The students began to relax, and some introduced themselves. The initial tension dissipated, and soon the room was filled with laughter and conversation.
Peter, feeling a little more comfortable, looked around. "So, what subjects do they have here? Is it very different from what we're used to?"
Yuki climbed the ladder, explaining enthusiastically. "We have math, science, history, and some extracurricular activities. But the most fun are the arts and culture classes. We learn a lot about Japanese traditions."
Gwen, interested, asked, "And are there clubs we can join?"
"Yes, there are many clubs," replied another student, a boy with glasses. "From sports to music and art clubs. You should join one! It's a good way to meet more people."
Peter irritably said, sensing that the conversation was getting more animated. "That sounds great. We definitely want to participate."
As the students continued to socialize, Peter realized the bell would ring soon. "Hey, I think we should find our seats before class starts."
Gwen climbed up, looking around. "Where do we sit?"
"Maybe we should sit together," Danny suggested, pointing to a group of empty desks near the window. "That way we can help each other if we have questions."
The three of them headed to their desks, and as they sat down, Peter couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. "This is just the beginning. We're going to learn a lot here."
Gwen smiled, looking around. "Yes, and I hope we can make friends. This could be an amazing experience."
Danny, looking out the window, added, "And let's not forget to explore Tokyo after school. There's so much to see."
The class passed quietly, although Peter, Gwen, and Danny couldn't help but notice something strange. There was one student who, since the beginning of the day, had been acting peculiar. He sat at the back of the class, his posture relaxed, almost carefree, and every time the teacher asked a question, he raised his hand enthusiastically.
" I know the answer, sensei !" the boy exclaimed, a strange smile on his face. And even though his answers were correct, he always added a joke that left the room completely silent. No one seemed to laugh, and some even looked away, uncomfortable.
"What happened to that boy?" she whispered to Gwen, leaning toward Yuki, who was sitting near her. "He's... weird. But not the fun kind."
Yuki glanced at the boy and then turned to Gwen, lowering her voice. "Ah, this is Natsuki Subaru. He's... well, let's just say he's a little strange. He's always doing weird things and telling jokes no one understands. Some people find him a little... creepy, judging by his expression."
Danny, who had been watching Subaru, frowned. "Creepy? Why? Does he do anything besides tell bad jokes?"
Yuki shrugged. "It's not that he's dangerous or anything, but his behavior kind of freaks some people out. He walks weird sometimes, like he's in a horror movie or something. You'll see him in the cafeteria... It's hard not to notice."
Later, during lunchtime, the group of three headed to the cafeteria with Yuki. The place was packed with students, and the atmosphere was lively, with constant laughter and conversation. However, it wasn't long before they noticed Subaru again.
Subaru walked through the cafeteria in an exaggerated manner, as if he were on a catwalk, swinging his arms theatrically. When he reached the line to collect his tray, he bowed dramatically to the cafeteria staff and said something they couldn't hear, but which clearly didn't provoke any reaction from them.
Gwen, holding the tray, stared at him. "Is that him? Who walks like that in a dining room?"
Danny shook his head, almost laughing. "It's like he's playing a character. Is he trying to be funny or just craving attention?"
Peter, for his part, watched Subaru with an amused smile. "I don't know, but... doesn't he remind you of someone? That strange humor, that exaggerated attitude... He reminds me a little of Deadpool ."
Gwen raised an eyebrow. " Deadpool ? Seriously? That guy is nowhere near as cool as Deadpool ."
"I know, but look at him," Peter insisted, chuckling. "It's like he's trying to break the fourth wall... although no one else seems to understand."
Danny looked at Peter, incredulous. "Do you really find this funny? I just find it... awkward."
"I don't know," Peter shrugged. "Maybe he just needs someone who understands. How about I go talk to him?"
Gwen squinted at him. "Talk to him? Good luck, Peter. Don't be surprised if he starts acting even weirder."
Determined, Peter stood up from his seat and walked over to Subaru, who was sitting alone in a corner of the dining room. The boy was eating his lunch in an exaggerated manner, raising his chopsticks as if he were in an epic duel and quietly narrating what seemed to be a story.
"And then, brave Subaru faced the world's most fearsome curry dish!" he muttered to himself, before dramatically popping a bite into his mouth.
Peter arrived at his table and stopped in front of him. "Hi. Can I sit down?"
Subaru looked up in surprise, then cheered widely. "Oh! A brave foreigner dares to approach the great Subaru! Sure, have a seat, fellow adventurer."
Peter sat down, trying not to laugh. "I'm Peter. I just wanted to introduce myself. You're Subaru, right?"
"Correct!" Subaru exclaimed, pointing at him with his chopsticks like a kung-fu master. " Natsuki Subaru, the most interesting guy in this school... or at least that attempt. What brings you to my table, Peter Parker?"
Peter raised an eyebrow. "How do you know my last name?"
Subaru shrugged, as if it were obvious. "It's what everyone's talking about today. 'The new foreigners are here!' Besides, I'm very observant. And you... you have an interesting energy. Like an anime protagonist.
Peter couldn't help but laugh. "Anime protagonist? That's a new one. But hey, I've noticed you have a great sense of humor. Although... I don't think everyone gets it."
Subaru sighs dramatically, resting his head on his hand. "Ah, yes, the eternal suffering of the misunderstood genius. My jokes are far too advanced for this age. But that's okay, because one day... one day, I will be recognized as the king of humor."
Peter irritated. "Well, for what it's worth, I think you're funny. Maybe you just need to find a way to connect better with others."
Subaru stared at him for a moment before bursting into laughter. "You're interesting, Peter Parker! Maybe you and I can be friends. But watch out! My quirk is contagious."
Peter raised his hands, smiling. "I'm used to weirdness. Believe me, I've seen things you wouldn't believe."
Over time, Peter and Subaru's friendship blossomed in unexpected ways. After their first conversation in the dining room, they began spending time together, sharing laughs and stories. Subaru, with his quirky humor and way of seeing the world, instilled his energy in Peter.
"Come on, Peter! You have to try it!" Subaru exclaimed as they both sat on a bench in the courtyard during lunch. "Let's practice those jokes you taught me. Remember, the key is in the delivery."
Peter, laughing, tried to remember what he'd learned. "Okay, here's one: What did the traffic light say to the car? Don't look at me, I'm changing!"
Subaru burst into laughter, clapping as if he'd just seen a comedy show. "That was great! You're a master of humor! I must teach you my best jokes, though... well, some are a little bad, but that's part of the charm."
Meanwhile, Gwen and Danny watched from their table, smiling at Peter's transformation. At first, they had been a little skeptical of Subaru, but over time, he had managed to win their hearts.
"See how happy Peter is?" Gwen commented to Danny, as they both looked at their friends. "I can't believe that weird kid turned out to be so funny."
Danny climbed in, laughing. "Yeah, Subaru has something special. I don't know how he does it, but he's made Peter feel more relaxed. And that's a good thing."
Over time, Subaru began to warm up to Gwen and Danny, showing them his kinder, funnier side. "Hey, friends! Want to join in our joke-telling frenzy? Peter's teaching me how to be funnier, and I think you guys could help too."
Gwen, smiling, decided to give it a try. "Okay, Subaru. But you have to promise not to make bad jokes just for the sake of it."
Subaru placed a hand on his heart, acting like a gentleman. "Promised, my lady. But I can't guarantee there won't be a few ridiculous jokes along the way."
As the months passed, the group of four became inseparable. Peter became the "joke master," while Subaru strove to improve his humor, sometimes resulting in hilarious situations.
"How about this?" Subaru asked one day during lunch. "What's the ultimate goal for an electrician? Not being able to find his working current!"
Gwen and Danny laughed, while Peter tried to contain his laughter. "That wasn't bad, Subaru, but remember, you have to tell the joke with more confidence. That's the key!"
"Understood!" Subaru exclaimed, raising his fist in victory. "I'm going to be the joke king of this school!"
Over time, Subaru earned the affection of Gwen and Danny. His manner, though odd, was charming, and his sense of humor always managed to lighten the mood. The four spent time together not only at school but also exploring Tokyo, sharing adventures and creating unforgettable memories.
Memorable moments
One afternoon, while walking through a park filled with cherry blossoms, Subaru paused in regret, looking at his friends with a serious expression. "Guys, I have a proposition to make."
The others looked at each other, puzzled. "What happened?" Danny asked.
"I want us to start a club," Subaru announced, gesturing excitedly. "A comedy club. We could meet once a week, share jokes, watch comedy movies, and practice our best acts. We'll be the best comedians in school!"
Gwen laughed. "That sounds amazing. But you'll need more than just bad jokes to make it work."
"Challenge accepted!" Subaru said, with a defiant smile. "Get ready, because we'll be the kings of humor."
After six months of laughter, adventures, and a growing friendship, Peter, Gwen, and Danny began to notice something strange: Subaru hadn't shown up at school for days. At first, they thought he might be sick, but as the days passed, Subaru's absences began to worry the group.
"That's weird," Gwen commented as they sat in the dining room. "Subaru never said anything to us. He didn't even respond to the texts I sent him."
Danny nodded. "Yeah, and he's not the type to just disappear. Do you think something happened to him?"
Peter frowned, clearly worried. "I don't know, but we have to find out. I don't like this. Subaru isn't the kind of person who would walk away from us without a reason."
After school, Peter approached one of Subaru's classmates to ask. "Hey, do you know anything about Natsuki Subaru? He's been missing a lot lately, and we're worried about him."
The companion sighed and lowered his voice. "I don't know much, but I heard Subaru has become a hikikomori . He doesn't leave his house anymore. It's a bit... sad, but it's not that uncommon in Japan."
Peter felt a knot in his stomach at that. " Hikikomori ? Are you sure? Do you know what could have happened to him?"
The companion shook his head. "I don't know. Subaru was always a little strange, but I never thought it would get to this point. No one knows what drove him to withdraw."
Peter returned to the group, clearly worried. Gwen and Danny noticed his serious expression immediately.
"What happened? What did they say to you?" Gwen asked.
Peter sighed, crossing his arms. "One of Subaru's classmates said he's become a hikikomori . He doesn't leave his house anymore."
Danny frowned, confused. " Hikikomori ? What's that?"
Peter took a moment to explain. "A hikikomori is someone who completely isolates themselves from the outside world. They stop going to school, work, and have virtually no contact with anyone outside their home. It's a very common phenomenon in Japan, especially among young people. It can be caused by many things: social pressure, family problems, bullying , depression... But the result is the same: they lock themselves in their room and don't come out for months or even years."
Gwen's eyes widened in concern. "Do you think Subaru's going through something like this? But he always seemed so happy with us."
Peter nodded slowly. "We can't always know what someone's going through inside, Gwen. Subaru was always someone who hid his emotions behind his mood. Maybe he was dealing with something he never told us."
Danny sighed. "So what do we do? Just wait for him to come back?"
Peter shook his head, determined. "No. We can't just wait. Subaru is our friend, and I'm not going to leave him alone. I'm going to go see him."
After school, Peter quickly changed his clothes and headed out, determined to find Subaru. He'd gotten his home address from one of his classmates, and while he didn't know exactly what to expect, he knew he had to try.
As he walked through the quiet residential streets of Tokyo, Peter couldn't help but reflect on what he'd learned about hikikomori . It was a complex problem, deeply rooted in Japanese society, especially given the enormous pressure young people faced to meet academic, social, and career expectations.
"It's amazing how someone can feel so overwhelmed that they decide to shut off the world completely," Peter thought. "Subaru always seemed so full of energy, but maybe he was using his humor as a mask to hide how he really felt."
The sky was beginning to turn orange as the sun set, and Peter finally arrived at the address he'd been given. It was a modest house, with a small, unkempt garden in front. The lights were off, and everything was completely silent.
Peter took a deep breath before approaching the door. "Okay, Parker. This isn't going to be easy, but Subaru needs to know he's not alone."
Peter rang the bell, waiting patiently. There was no answer. He rang again, this time a little louder.
"Subaru? It's Peter. Are you there?" he called, but silence was the only response.
Determined not to give up, Peter circled the house until he found a window that appeared to be Subaru's room on the second floor. The curtains were closed, but Peter could see a faint light burning inside.
"Subaru, I know you're there," he said aloud. "Listen, you don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to, but I want you to know I'm here for you. We're all worried about you: Danny, Gwen, and I. We miss you."
There was a long silence, and for a moment, Peter thought he hadn't heard him. But then, he heard a faint noise, as if someone were moving inside the room.
"Leave me alone," a weak voice murmured from the other side of the window. It was Subaru.
Peter sighed, placing a hand on the window frame. "I'm not leaving, Subaru. I know something's bothering you, but you don't have to face it alone. We're friends, remember? Friends don't abandon each other."
Subaru didn't reply, but Peter decided to stay a while longer, sitting by the window, talking softly about the good times they'd shared. He didn't know if Subaru was listening, but he hoped his words would somehow reach him.
Flashback: Subaru opens the door
Peter knocked softly on the door once more. "Subaru, it's me, Peter. I know you don't want to talk, but... I just want you to know I'm here. Your parents are worried about you."
After several minutes of silence outside Subaru's door, Peter sighed deeply. "All right, Subaru. You don't have to talk to me if you don't want to, but I want you to know one thing: you're not alone. I don't know exactly what you're facing, but you don't have to carry it alone. Look at all you've done: you befriended foreigners like us, made us laugh, and became an important part of our lives. For the first time, someone cares about you, Subaru. We all do." There was a long silence. Peter thought his words hadn't reached his friend and was about to turn and go back down the stairs when, suddenly, he heard the faint sound of the lock turning. The door opened a little, and from the other side, Subaru's voice rang out, faint but clear: " Come in." Peter , surprised but relieved, carefully pushed the door open and entered the room. However, upon taking the first step, he was completely speechless.
Subaru's room was filled with posters , figures, comics, and all sorts of Spider-Man-related merchandise. The walls were covered with pictures of the wall-crawler in various iconic poses, and on the shelves were action figures, masks, and even a miniature replica of Spider-Man's suit. But what really caught Peter's attention was a large poster of the Leopardon .
(the Spider-Man mecha from the 1970s Japanese series.)
"Are you a Spider-Man fan?" Peter asked incredulously as he looked around the room. Subaru, sitting cross-legged on his bed, nodded with a slight smile. "I'm not just a fan. I'm a huge fan. Spider-Man is my favorite hero." Peter looked around, fascinated by the amount of collectibles. What an exciting revelation! The discovery that Subaru is a huge Spider-Man fan. Peter now has a unique opportunity to connect with Subaru and, perhaps, use his Spider-Man alter ego to help him.
Subaru, curled up in his bed, nodded slowly. "Yes, Peter. Spiderman is... my hero. Always has been." Peter leaned closer, fascinated by the details of the room. "Wow, you have all sorts of things related to him. Since when are you a fan?" Subaru shrugged, hugging his knees.
"For a year now. Spiderman has always inspired me. He's brave, funny, and helps others, no matter how difficult it is. He's… someone I admire a lot." Peter nodded, feeling a strange connection with his friend at that moment. "I understand. Spiderman seems to be someone very important to you." Subaru looked up, and Peter noticed his eyes were red-rimmed, as if he'd been crying. "Yeah, he is. But… lately, I feel like I can't be like him. Like I can't be the hero I want to be."
Peter frowned, moving closer to the bed. "What do you mean by that, Subaru?" Subaru sighed, looking away. "Spider-Man is brave, strong, and helps others. I... I can't. I feel so overwhelmed, so unable to face the world. Whenever I try to be kind to people or help them like Spider-Man , they look down on me for my oddness. I use my humor to cheer everyone up, but they reject me. I couldn't stand the opinions about me anymore. That's why I locked myself in here. Because I can't be like him. And I don't want to hear unpleasant things about me anymore."
Peter listened intently, feeling a deep empathy for his friend. Subaru was clearly struggling with something beyond him, and had isolated himself as a result. Now, more than ever, Peter understood the importance Spider-Man held for him. "Subaru," Peter said, speaking gently, "I understand how you feel. Being a hero isn't easy, and sometimes we feel overwhelmed. But that doesn't mean you can't be one." Subaru looked up, a spark of hope in his eyes. "Do you think so?" Peter nodded. "Yes, I do. Spider-Man has been through tough times too—he has his share. In fact, in his early days, he was looked down upon and insulted when he tried to help, but he always finds the strength to keep going. Because he knows there are people out there who need him." Subaru looked at him intently, as if searching for something in Peter's words. "And you know," Peter continued, "Spider-Man always says that with great power comes great responsibility. Maybe, in your case, your responsibility is to be a hero to yourself. To get out of this room and face your fears and the opinions of others."
Subaru was silent for a moment, processing Peter's words. Then, a small smile formed on his face. "You're right. Spider-Man never gives up. And I can't give up either." Peter smiled, feeling a warm feeling in his chest. "Exactly. You can be your own hero, Subaru. And we, your friends, will be here to support you. " Subaru nodded, and for the first time in a long time, Peter saw a glimmer of determination in his eyes. "Thanks, Peter. I'm going to try. For Spider-Man and... for myself." Peter was relieved to see that his friend had found some hope. Now, more than ever, he was determined to help him break out of his isolation, even if it meant using his own Spider-Man identity to inspire him.
After the emotional talk, Subaru got out of bed, quickly wiping away his tears. "Well, Parker, enough drama for today. How about we play something? I have a PS4 and a ton of games. I may not be a hero, but I can be the best Street Fighter player , that's for sure."
Peter smiled, relieved to see Subaru's spirits rising. " Street Fighter ? Subaru, you don't know who you're messing with. Prepare to lose."
Subaru turned on the console and took out a pair of controllers, handing one to Peter. The two began to play, shouting at each other with laughter each time they defeated the other. "You can't beat my Ryu !" Subaru exclaimed, while Peter cursed playfully after losing another round. Kenichi and Naoko , Subaru's parents, discreetly peeked from the half-open door, watching their son smile again and enjoy the company of a friend. Kenichi whispered with a smile, "There's something special about Parker. Look at our boy... he's coming back to himself." Naoko nodded, excited and grateful.
At the end of their gaming session, Subaru and Peter fist-bumped, sealing a moment of renewed friendship. "Thanks for coming, Peter. Really. It means a lot to me," Subaru said, and Peter responded with a smile. "That's what friends are for, Subaru. Brother…"
"Brother…" Subaru also responds
A week later, Subaru returned to school. Although he was nervous at first, the presence of Peter, Gwen, and Danny helped him feel more comfortable. However, when Gwen and Danny ran up to him to hug him, Subaru backed away slightly, feeling uncomfortable.
Peter quickly chimed in, laughing. "Wait, wait! Remember, hugging isn't common in Japan like it is in the States. It's not that I don't care for you, it's just... it's a cultural thing."
Gwen stopped, realizing her mistake. "Oh, sorry, Subaru. We didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." Danny nodded. "Yeah, I forgot. But, it's nice to see you back!" Subaru smiled gratefully. "Thanks, guys. I'm happy to be back. And... well, if you ever want to hug someone, maybe you can hug Peter. He seems to enjoy it." Peter laughed . " Hey, don't drag me into this, Subaru." The group shared a laugh, and little by little, Subaru felt comfortable among his friends again.
Two weeks later, while they were in the schoolyard during lunch, Subaru approached Peter with a smile on his face. "Peter, I want to thank you for everything. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here now." Peter nodded, but before he could answer, Subaru continued. "And I also want to ask you something. There's someone else who needs help. His name is Kazuma. He's another hikikomori , but he's been in isolation longer than I have—about seven months. He stopped coming to school a month before you guys arrived." Peter stopped eating, shocked. "Kazuma? Why didn't you say anything sooner, Subaru?" Subaru shrugged, somewhat embarrassed. "You never asked about other hikikomori . Besides, I didn't know if you could help him. But after what you did for me... I think you could make a difference for him too." Peter looked thoughtful.
"Subaru, if there's anyone else who needs help, I won't ignore it. After school, tell me where they live and I'll come see them. Everyone deserves a chance, just like you." Subaru nodded, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Thank you, Peter. You're a great friend."
After school, Subaru gave Peter Kazuma's address, along with a few details about him. "Kazuma is... different from me," Subaru explained as they walked together toward the exit.
Peter frowned, confused. "Why do you say that? What's wrong with it?" Subaru He sighed and leaned forward, as if considering how to explain something complicated. "It's complicated, Peter. Kasuma has... weird fetishes. And I don't mean typical ones, like liking girls' breasts or butts. That would be... normal, I guess. But Kasuma 's different. Her fetishes are... extreme. And, honestly, a little... sick." Peter was silent for a moment, processing what Subaru had just said. Finally, he shrugged. "Well, as long as she's not hurting anyone, it shouldn't be that big a deal, right? I mean, we all have our quirks." Subaru shook his head, his expression serious. "You don't understand, Peter. Kasuma is... intense. His obsession with women is so extreme that even the girls at school are uncomfortable around him. He's always watching them, muttering weird things to himself, and sometimes... well, he gets too close. It's not dangerous, but it's definitely... uncomfortable for everyone." Peter frowned, now understanding the situation better. "I see. So what are you saying? That it would be best if Kasuma isolated himself ?" Subaru moves forward slowly. "For the sake of the school and, most importantly, the women, maybe. But honestly, I don't know if that's the right thing to do. It's just that no one knows how to deal with him. He's... complicated."
Peter was silent for a moment, pondering what Subaru had told him. Finally, he looked up with a determined expression. "You know what? I think I have a better idea."
Subaru looked at him curiously. "What idea?" Peter irritated. "Well, instead of simply keeping Kasuma away from the others, why don't we try helping each other understand how to behave in a more... respectful manner? Maybe all he needs is someone to teach him how to interact with people in a proper way."
"Subaru thought for a moment before answering. "Do you really think that'll work? Kasuma isn't exactly easy to deal with." Peter shrugged. "Maybe not, but it's worth a try. Look, Subaru, we all have our problems, our quirks. I myself have a lot of things that people would consider strange. But that doesn't mean we can't learn and grow. Maybe Kasuma just needs someone to give her a little guidance."
Subaru sighed, but a small smile formed on his face. "Well, I guess if anyone can pull it off, it's you, Peter. Good luck with that. " Peter irritated, feeling a new determination. "Thanks, Subaru. Now, ten cents, where can I find this Kasuma ?"
Peter, determined to understand Kasuma better after what Subaru had told him, decided to visit him at his house. However, what happened was something no one expected. Three minutes after entering, Peter emerged from the house with a completely blank expression. Subaru and the rest of the group were waiting outside, curious to know what had happened. "Well?" Subaru asked, leaning toward Peter with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness.
"What did you think of Kasuma ?" Peter was silent for a moment, staring off into the distance as if processing something too strange to put into words. Finally, he sighed and said, "Subaru, you were right. Kasuma is weird. Very weird. And... he's beyond saving."
Subaru moves forward slowly, as if he already knew. "I told you. There are things it's better not to try to fix ." Peter didn't say anything else, but in his mind, he knew there were things he simply couldn't wish for. He decided it would be best to leave Kasuma alone and focus on the people he could actually help.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, their seven months in Japan had come to an end. Peter, Gwen, and Danny began packing their things, preparing to return to the United States. Although they were excited to be going home, they also felt sadness at leaving behind the friends they had made during their stay. "It's strange," Gwen commented as she folded her clothes. "I feel like we've experienced so much here. It's like this place has become our second home." Danny ascended, looking out the window at the streets of Tokyo. "Yeah, but I'm also excited to be back. Although... I'm going to miss Subaru. That boy is one of a kind." Peter, who was packing his camera into his backpack, smiled. "Don't worry. We can still keep in touch with him. Besides, I'm sure Subaru will never let us forget him."
Before leaving, Peter decided to pay one last visit to Subaru's house to say goodbye. When he arrived, Subaru greeted him at the door with a shy smile. "So this is the end, huh? " Subaru said, trying to sound casual, but with a hint of sadness in his voice. "For now," Peter replied, reaching out to shake Subaru's hand. "But it's not a final goodbye. We'll keep in touch, okay?" Subaru ascended, and the two exchanged phone numbers and emails. "Yeah, sure. Even if you're halfway around the world, you can always count on me, Peter."
Peter was irritated, feeling a mixture of emotions. "Same here, Subaru. And remember, no matter what happens, you can always be your own hero." Subaru ascended, a small smile on his face. "Thank you, Peter. For everything."
When Peter, Gwen, and Danny finally boarded the plane back to the United States, Peter couldn't help but stare out the window, thinking about everything he'd been through in Japan. He'd arrived as a foreigner, but he was leaving with friends he felt like family. As the plane took off, Peter pulled out his phone and sent a quick text to Subaru: "Thanks for everything, buddy. See you soon."
Subaru responded almost immediately, "See you, Peter. And remember, Spiderman will always be a hero in Japan."
Peter, irritably, put his phone back in his pocket. Although his time in Japan was over, he knew the friendships he'd made there would last forever.
End of flashback:
Peter closed his eyes for a moment, letting the memories of his time in Japan flood his mind. He remembered the laughs with Subaru, the awkward moments with Kasuma , and the goodbyes filled with promises to stay in touch. Three years had passed since then, and while they had exchanged messages from time to time, the distance and both of their busy schedules had made their conversations less frequent. Now, holding the document in his hands, Peter couldn't help but smile with excitement as he read the team's mission. Japan . He would return to Japan. And he would see Subaru again. "What's got you so happy, Parker?" Gwen asked, shooting him a curious glance from across the room. Peter looked up, his smile even wider. "It's Japan. Our next mission is to Japan. Do you know what that means?" Miles, who was sitting next to him, leaned forward with interest. "A trip to one of the most amazing places in the world? Authentic ramen? Anime everywhere?" Peter laughed, shaking his head. "No, well, yes, but it's not just that. It means he'll get to see an old friend. Subaru. It's been three years since I saw him last." "The guy you're always talking about?" White Tiger asked , raising an eyebrow. "The Spider-Man fanatic, right?" "Exactly," Peter replied, a bright spark in his eyes. "He's a great guy. I can't wait to see him again."
The team of young heroes, led by Peter, had been assigned a high-priority mission in Japan: to spy on and gather information on Silver Samurai , a dangerous criminal and martial arts expert who had been moving suspiciously in Tokyo. Although the main objective was to stop any illegal activity that could threaten international security, Peter couldn't help but think about the opportunity to reunite with Subaru. "Guys," Peter began, turning to the group, "this mission is important. Silver Samurai isn't someone we should trifle with. He's a combat expert and a master strategist, so we need to stay in the shadows. But, if we have a little free time... maybe we can do some scouting."
Gwen smiled, crossing her arms. "Explore, or are you planning to use the mission as an excuse to go visit a Subaru?" Peter held up his hands, feigning innocence. "Who, me? I'd never do something like that. This is strictly professional."
Danny laughed, patting him on the back. "Sure, Parker. We all know how much you like to keep things strictly professional."
As the team of young heroes went over the details of the mission in Japan, Sam Alexander, also known as Nova, noticed Peter was especially excited. With a raised eyebrow, he approached him and asked, "Hey, Parker, who's that person you've been talking about so much? Subaru, right? Is he someone important?"
Peter, who was checking his phone, looked up quickly, somewhat surprised by the question. "Huh? Oh, it's nothing. It's just personal," he replied, trying to make light of the matter as he put his phone back in his pocket.
Sam looked at him curiously, but before he could press the issue, Peter turned to Luke Cage ( Power Man) and Ava Ayala (White Tiger), who were discussing strategy for the mission. "So what's the plan to stay off Silver Samurai 's radar ?" Peter asked, deftly changing the subject.
Interaction with the team
As Peter talked with Luke and Ava , Flash Thompson, now known as Agent Venom , approached the group with his usual easygoing demeanor. "What's up, Parker? Are you excited to be going back to Japan? Or do you have some unfinished business there?"
Peter, irritated, tried to remain calm. "I'm just excited for the mission, Flash. Japan is an amazing place, and I'm sure it will be an interesting experience for all of us."
Miles Morales, who was adjusting his Spiderman mask, joined the conversation. "Are you sure there isn't something else going on, Peter? You've been acting a little strange since we were assigned this mission."
Peter sighed, realizing he couldn't avoid his companions' questions. "All right, all right. Yes, there's someone I want to see while we're in Japan. He's a friend I met a few years ago. But that has nothing to do with the mission, okay? It's just personal."
Ava , who had been listening from across the room, smiled and crossed her arms. "A friend, huh? The famous Subaru you're always talking about? Well, I hope you have time to visit. But don't forget, we're here for a reason."
"I know, I know," Peter replied, raising his hands in surrender. "The mission comes first. But if we have some free time, maybe I can stop by and say hi."
Preparations for the mission
With the team ready to depart, everyone gathered to go over the final details of the mission. Silver Samurai was a formidable enemy, and his skill with a sword and knowledge of martial arts made him a dangerous adversary. The mission required stealth and precision, as the main objective was to gather intelligence on his activities and avoid a direct confrontation.
"Remember," said Luke Cage, taking the lead in the discussion, "our objective is to spy and gather information. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves or engage in combat if we can avoid it. Silver Samurai is not someone we should trifle with."
"Understood," Ava replied , adjusting her gloves. "But if things get complicated, I'm ready to act."
Peter climbed aboard, though his mind was still torn between the mission and the possibility of seeing Subaru. He knew he had to stay focused, but he couldn't help but feel excited about the reunion.
As the group of young heroes prepared to board the jet, Iron Man appeared at the entrance to the lounge. Iron Man, in his shining armor, entered, sipping a steaming cup of coffee and looking relaxed. "Ready for an adventure, guys?" he said with a smile as he approached.
"Ready!" Miles exclaimed excitedly. "Are you going to join us on the mission?"
Tony Stark snorted and shook his head. "No, not this time. But I'm here to make sure you have what you need. And that's why I'm bringing you this. What I promised, but … it will be Peter ." With a dramatic flourish, he extended his hand and handed Peter the keys to the advanced jet.
"Thanks," said Peter , eagerly taking the keys. "Let's fly!"
The group quickly headed toward the jet, an impressive vehicle packed with advanced technology and amenities. As they climbed aboard, Peter couldn't help but feel a little excited . The jet's interior was filled with screens, controls, and all sorts of impressive gadgets.
Just as Peter was about to touch a control panel, Iron Man grabbed his shoulder. "Wait a second, Parker. Please don't damage anything on my jet. I don't want to have to explain to Pepper that the new Avengers destroyed my property."
Peter raised his hands in surrender. "I promise, Tony. Nothing will happen to the jet. Although, let's be honest, we're a little naughty for being young."
"That's what worries me," Iron Man replied with a wry smile. "But I trust you'll handle it. Just remember, if anything goes wrong, don't hesitate to call me. I'm just a click away."
Peter ascended, feeling a little relieved. "Don't worry, Stark. Everything will be fine. We're a great team."
Once everyone was on board and secured in their seats, Peter settled into the cockpit, looking around in awe. "This is amazing! I can't believe we're flying in an Iron Man jet," said Agent Venom.
"Get ready for takeoff," Gwen said from her seat, smiling as she fastened her seatbelt. "I hope you know what you're doing, Peter."
"What could go wrong?" Luke joked, Peter turning the keys in the ignition and firing up the engines. With a mighty roar, the jet began to pick up speed.
The group was excited as the jet took off, leaving the Avengers base behind and heading toward Japan. The mission was underway, and Peter couldn't wait to see Subaru and face whatever Silver Samurai had in store for them.
The jet was moving rapidly through the sky, the clouds passing by like a white whirlwind. Peter sat in the autopilot seat, staring out the window. His eyes were lost in the horizon, and although on the outside he tried to maintain a calm demeanor, inside he felt caught in a whirlwind of emotions. He paused deeply, his face reflecting a slight sadness.
Miles Morales, sitting nearby, noticed the change in Peter's attitude. Since they'd boarded the jet, Peter hadn't seemed as enthusiastic as usual. Miles stood up and walked slowly over, taking the seat next to Peter.
"Hey, are you okay, Peter?" Miles asked in a kind but concerned tone.
Peter, shaking himself out of his thoughts, turned to Miles with a forced smile. "Yeah, I'm fine, Miles. I'm just...thinking, that's all."
Miles crossed his arms, clearly not believing him. "Come on, Peter. I'm not stupid. I've known you well enough to know something's bothering you. Why don't you talk to me? Maybe I can help."
Peter tried to divert the conversation with a nervous laugh. "It's nothing, really. I'm fine. Just focus on the mission, okay? You don't have to worry about me."
Miles didn't move, keeping his gaze fixed on Peter. "I know what happened to you," he said firmly. "This has to do with what happened two months ago, doesn't it? Since the accident, you've been... different. You don't have to pretend with me, Peter."
Peter fell silent, his smile slowly fading. He looked down, feeling his facade crumble. Miles had always been perceptive, and this time was no exception.
"Leave it, Miles," Peter finally said, sighing. "I'm fine. I can handle it."
"Really?" Miles asked, raising an eyebrow. "Because it doesn't seem like you're handling it. If you keep bottling it all up, it's only going to get worse."
As Miles returned to his seat, leaving Peter to his thoughts, Peter couldn't stop his mind from dragging him back to that dark moment. He closed his eyes, and suddenly, the memories of the fight with Harry Osborn, as the new Green Goblin, hit him like a speeding train.
"Congratulations, Peter," Harry's voice, filled with hatred and contempt, recalled. "You're a murderer."
Peter felt his heart clench as Harry's words echoed in his mind. "You're a murderer." That phrase repeated itself over and over, like an echo he couldn't turn off. He remembered how he'd tried to stop Harry, how the fight had escalated to the point where everything had gotten out of hand. He remembered the accident, the chaos, and finally... Harry's accusation.
His eyes flew open, his breathing quickening. He looked around, trying to calm himself. He was on the jet, not in that fight. But even two months later, those memories still haunted him. No matter how many times he tried to justify it, he couldn't shake the guilt and fear.
Peter sighed deeply, trying to shake off the memories. He forced himself to look ahead, focusing on the horizon. From the jet window, he could see Japan in the distance, its lights shining in the distance like a beacon of hope.
"Focus, Peter," he muttered to himself. "You have a mission. You can't let this distract you."
As the jet approached its destination, Peter tried to convince himself that everything would be okay. Maybe, just maybe, returning to Japan and seeing Subaru would give him some sense of normalcy, something to help him heal. But deep down, he knew the weight he carried wouldn't disappear so easily.
Peter cautiously took the jet's controls as it prepared to land. Despite his inner emotions, he managed to remain calm and guide Iron Man's ship to the landing strip without a hitch. The jet descended smoothly, and the group of young heroes playfully applauded.
"Wow, Parker, you turned out to be a decent pilot," Gwen commented with a smile as she unbuckled her seatbelt.
"Did you doubt it?" Peter replied with a nervous smile, although inside he was relieved to have landed safely.
Iron Man 's jet , so that's already an accomplishment," Flash Thompson (Agent Venom ) joked, patting him on the back. Peter sighs. "Yeah, well, I hope Tony doesn't check the flight cameras. Come on, we have work to do."
When the team landed in Tokyo, Peter was quick to pull out his phone and text Subaru, "I'm in Japan. Do you have time to meet up? It's been years, and I have so much to tell you." To his surprise, Subaru replied almost immediately, "What?! You're in Japan? Why didn't you tell me sooner? Of course I have time. Just tell me where and when, and it'll be there."
Peter felt irritated as he read the message, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Although he had kept in touch, he wasn't sure how he would ever see Subaru again after so long. Had he changed? Would he be different?
The group was escorted from the jet to a SHIELD base in Japan, discreetly located outside of Tokyo. The base was filled with agents working on computers, giant screens displaying data and maps, and advanced technology that looked like something out of a science fiction movie.
As they entered the main room, Peter stopped in his tracks when he saw a familiar face. Agent Phil Coulson was there, waiting for them.
" Coulson ?" Peter said, surprised. "Wait, really? It's you! I thought you were... you know, dead."
Coulson sounds calm, as if he's used to that reaction. "Ah, yes, that small detail. Let's just say my death was a... necessary misunderstanding. But I'm here, alive and well, and ready to help you with your mission."
Peter crossed his arms, still absorbing what he'd just heard. "I always knew. I knew. You faked your death, didn't you? Nick Fury and his secrets..."
"Let's just say it was a strategy to unite the Avengers," Coulson replied with an enigmatic smile. "But now I'm here to work with you, the new Avengers. Welcome to Japan."
After the introductions, Coulson led the group to a control room filled with screens. One displayed security camera footage tracking the movements of Silver Samurai and his group of allies. The images were disturbing: shipments of advanced weapons, robotic technology, and something that made Peter instantly tense up: vibranium .
"Here's what we know so far," Coulson began , pointing at the screens. "Silver Samurai has been involved in illegal activities related to the smuggling of advanced technology, weapons, and vibranium -equipped robots . Which is a big problem. Vibranium is rare and extremely powerful, and in the wrong hands, it can cause disaster."
The group watched the screens closely. In one image, Silver Samurai was seen negotiating with a group of mysterious men, while intimidating-looking robots were loaded onto a truck.
"How advanced is their arsenal?" asked Ava Ayala (White Tiger), arms crossed.
"Advanced enough to be worrying," Coulson replied . "These robots aren't simple toys. They're designed for heavy combat and equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry. If Silver Samurai has access to this technology, he could be planning something big."
Peter ascended, processing the information. "So, what's the plan? Do we go in and stop him?" Agent Venon said, sounding somewhat doubtful.
Coulson shook his head. "No, Flash . Your mission isn't to confront him directly. We need you to infiltrate, gather information, and come back with solid evidence. No fighting. I want to be very clear. This isn't a confrontational job. If something goes wrong, you call us and we'll get out of there."
"No fighting?" Flash Thompson (Agent Venom ) raised an eyebrow. "That's... boring."
"Trust me, Flash," Coulson said seriously. "If you try to take on Silver Samurai and his robots right now, there won't be a mission. This is espionage, not combat. Understand?"
Peter raised a hand to calm Flash and the rest of the group. "No problem. We can do this. We'll infiltrate, get the information you need, and get out without anyone seeing us."
Coulson nodded, satisfied. "I hope so. Now, get ready. You've got a long night ahead of you."
The group gathered in a break room at SHIELD headquarters, relaxing after the intense briefing with Coulson . The mission was scheduled for the next day, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Gwen, Danny, and the others talked excitedly about what they would do after completing their assignment.
"After the mission, we definitely have to explore Japan," Gwen said with a smile. "It's an amazing place. Danny and I already visited here a few years ago, and I'm sure you'll love it."
Danny nodded, crossing his arms. "Sure, there are lots of great places to visit. We could go to Akihabara, try authentic ramen, or even visit historic temples. Peter, isn't it exciting to come back here? You've been before, haven't you?"
Everyone's eyes turned to Peter, who was sitting silently in a corner. He seemed lost in thought. Upon hearing his name, he looked up and simply replied, "Yes." Nothing more.
The atmosphere became a little awkward, but no one pressed any further. Peter stood up from his seat and said quietly, "I'm going for a walk. See you later."
Gwen watched him leave, with a mixture of concern and curiosity. "What's wrong with him? He doesn't seem like himself."
Miles, who had already noticed something strange about Peter since the flight, simply sighed. "He's dealing with something. I think he needs some space."
Peter left the base in his suit, activating his tracker. He had uploaded Subaru's approximate location to his device before arriving, thanks to the records he'd kept since his last visit. His heart was beating fast, filled with excitement and nervousness. It had been three years since he'd last seen Subaru, and while they'd kept in touch occasionally, seeing him face to face after so much time was different.
Swinging between the web-spun buildings, Peter finally located Subaru's signal near a 7- Eleven. From the store's rooftop, he watched his friend with a mischievous smile. Subaru was walking into the store, wearing black and white sportswear with yellow stripes, looking as carefree as ever. Peter activated his nanotech suit, transforming it into normal clothes so as not to attract attention.
"This is going to be fun," Peter muttered to himself.
Leaping from the roof, he used the Nanosuit again to create a cap and cover his face. Then he walked toward the store, entering silently as his eyes followed Subaru's every move. From afar, he watched Subaru flipping through some manga at the magazine stand. Peter smiled, remembering how much Subaru loved reading manga.
When Subaru put down his manga and walked toward one of the aisles, Peter followed him from a distance, hiding behind the shelves. Subaru grabbed a pack of instant ramen and some chips, walking calmly toward the cashier.
Subaru was about to pay at the register when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He turned around quickly, but saw no one. He frowned, confused, and paid the cashier the 363 yen. Just as he was about to leave the store, he felt another tap on his shoulder. This time, he turned around quickly and saw a hooded man.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Subaru asked, somewhat cautiously.
Peter, maintaining his sarcastic and humorous tone, replied with a smile: "What's up, champ? Don't you recognize your favorite hero, daddy? As forgetful as ever, Subaru."
Subaru blinked, surprised. That voice... he recognized it.
"Wait... Peter?" Subaru asked, his eyes wide.
Peter slowly removed his hood, revealing his face with a big grin. At that moment, Subaru dropped the shopping bag to the ground, completely shocked. "It can't be! It's you! Peter!"
They both got so excited that they quickly approached each other, bumping fists like they used to years ago. "Bro!" they shouted in unison, grinning from ear to ear.
For the first time, Subaru, who used to be more reserved, accepted a hug from Peter. It was a sincere and emotional moment. Peter hugged him tightly, happy to see his friend again after so long.
Peter and Subaru sat in one of the chairs outside Seven Eleven. The night was quiet, with a clear sky filled with stars. Peter opened a bag of chips he had bought, eating silently while Subaru talked excitedly about the past three years.
"So, after all that, I managed to make the school track team," Subaru said with a smile, chronicling his accomplishments. "It was difficult at first, but it was worth it. Now I run almost every day. And you, Peter? What have you been up to?"
Peter felt faint, but didn't respond immediately. Subaru continued talking, telling stories about his life, his friends, and his small triumphs. However, as he spoke, Subaru noticed something in Peter's face. There was something dull in his eyes, a sadness he couldn't ignore.
Subaru stopped talking and looked at him worriedly. "Peter... what happened to you? Haven't you gotten over what happened two months ago?"
Peter looked up, surprised by the question. "What do you mean by that?" he asked, trying to sound casual.
Subaru sighs. "Gwen told me a month ago. She told me what happened... the accident, and how you lost those two people important to you. I'm so sorry, Peter."
Peter looked away, his expression growing even more somber. "I don't want to talk about it," he said quietly.
"But you should," Subaru insisted. "Peter, I know what it's like to go through something difficult. Remember how you helped me three years ago? Now I want to help you. You don't have to carry this alone."
Peter sighs deeply, dropping the bag of chips next to the public chair . His voice, when he finally spoke, was cracked, devoid of emotion and a trace of his trademark humor. "It's not that easy, Subaru. I lost two people who meant everything to me. And the worst part is... I feel like it was my fault. No matter how hard I try, I can't stop thinking about it."
Subaru listened silently, letting Peter vent. It was clear Peter had lost his spark, his humorous, optimistic side that had always characterized him. Subaru knew he couldn't force him to feel better, but he couldn't just stand idly by, either.
Subaru looked up at the sky, observing the stars shining above. After a few moments of silence, he spoke calmly. "You know, when I was a kid, I used to look up at the stars whenever I felt lost. It made me feel small, but in a good way. Like my problems weren't that big compared to the universe."
Peter looked up, following Subaru's gaze skyward. "And that helped you?" he asked, his tone mixed with curiosity and skepticism.
"Yes," Subaru replied with a smile. "It reminded me that even if things are difficult now, there's always something bigger out there. Something worth moving forward with. And, Peter, you're one of those people who always finds a way to keep going. I know this because you helped me do it when I was at my worst."
Peter sighed, but this time his expression seemed a little less tense. "Thank you, Subaru. But... I don't know if I can be that person right now. I feel like I've lost a part of myself."
Subaru looked at him determinedly. "You haven't lost her, Peter. She's just buried under all that pain. But she's there, and I'm going to help you find her. No matter how long it takes."
Subaru decided to change the subject to ease the tension a bit. He pointed to a particularly bright star in the sky. "Do you see that star? It's Vega. It's one of the brightest in the night sky. I've always liked it because it never seems to stop shining, no matter what."
Peter stared at the star, allowing the conversation to distract him from his dark thoughts. "Vega, huh? Sounds like a good name for a hero," he said, with a hint of his old humor.
Subaru said loudly. "Maybe. But the important thing is, even in the darkest night, there's always something shining. And you, Peter, are like that star to many people. Don't forget that."
Peter didn't respond immediately, but Subaru's words seemed to sink in. He looked up at the sky, allowing the moment to wash over him. But Peter still wasn't convinced.
Subaru stood up from his seat, crossing his arms as he stared at Peter. His gaze was a mixture of firmness and concern, as if he were searching for the right words to reach him. Then, in a louder, more determined tone of voice, he began to speak.
"Peter," Subaru said forcefully, fully capturing his attention. "Listen to me. No matter what you're going through, you can't give up. You can't let the pain define you. You have to endure, keep looking forward, and see things from a different perspective. Look at the good things you've accomplished."
Peter raised his head slightly, but still avoided eye contact. Subaru, however, didn't stop.
"Think about your friends. Think about the people you've saved. Think about the amazing things you've done. That's what makes you a hero, Peter! Not the fact that you have powers or a cool suit, but the fact that you never stop trying, even when things get tough."
Peter sighs, still struggling with his emotions. His gaze remained fixed on the ground, and although Subaru's words were beginning to sink in, sadness still held him trapped.
"And I know he thinks you can't do it right now, but I know you, Peter," Subaru continued more intensely. "Ever since we've known each other, I've always seen something in you. You're someone who never gives up. Even when the whole world seems to be against you, you always find a way to get back up."
Subaru paused, moving a little closer to his friend. "You know why? Because you're Spider-Man. And Spider-Man never gives up."
A memory of the past: Peter's secret
Subaru's words stirred something in Peter. He closed his eyes for a moment, and like a flash of lightning, a memory from three years ago flooded back into his mind.
It was Peter's last night in Japan before returning to the United States. He had arrived at Subaru's house in his Spider-Man suit, unannounced. Subaru, confused at first, opened the door and was completely shocked to see Spider-Man standing in front of him.
"P-Peter?" Subaru asked in disbelief.
Peter removed his mask, revealing his face with a smile. "Surprise," he said, trying to sound casual. "I wanted you to know before I left. I'm Spider-Man."
Subaru couldn't believe it. "Spider-Man? You? The guy who swings around the city and saves people? That's... incredible."
"Yeah, well, it's a little complicated, too," Peter admitted. "But I wanted you to know because... well, you're my friend. And because I trust you."
Subaru, after processing this, excitedly said, "This explains a lot. But, Peter, this doesn't change anything. You're still the same clumsy, cool guy I knew. Though now I know you're also a hero."
Back to the present
The memory of that night brought a small smile to Peter's face. He opened his eyes and looked at Subaru, who was still standing in front of him, waiting for an answer. For the first time in a week, Peter felt a spark of motivation within him.
"You know," Peter said, his voice calm but firmer, "you're right. Terrible things may have happened to me... things I'd rather forget. But that doesn't mean I'm going to give up."
Subaru looked at him with satisfaction, seeing that his words had finally reached his friend.
"Spider-Man never gives up," Peter continued, echoing Subaru's words. "And I guess I shouldn't either."
Subaru looked rather broadly and patted him on the shoulder. "That's the Peter Parker I know."
Peter rumbles lightly, still processing everything, but feeling a little lighter. Although he still had a long way to go to heal, he knew Subaru was by his side, and that meant a lot.
Subaru and Peter got up from their chairs and left the store, enjoying the fresh night air. As they walked through the colorful streets of Japan, Subaru, filled with excitement, decided to share his thoughts about the future.
"You know, Peter?" Subaru began, looking at the bright lights. "With the two of us, I feel like maybe we have great adventures ahead of us. If I close my eyes and then open them, I can imagine we're on an epic quest together, facing villains and saving the day."
Peter snorted slightly, feeling inspired by Subaru's optimistic vision. But at the same time, a part of him couldn't help but think it was a little fantastical. "That sounds incredible, Subaru, but... I don't know. Sometimes I feel like those dreams are impossible."
Subaru looked at him in surprise. "Impossible? You? The one who's Spider-Man! You've always been at the center of the craziest adventures. Why couldn't you have more?"
"Because, sometimes, reality is harsher than fantasy," Peter replied, his tone slightly melancholic. "I've seen what can happen when things get complicated. It doesn't always end well."
Subaru, feeling he should help Peter see things differently, continued. "But that's what makes adventures exciting, isn't it? Those difficult times are what make us stronger. And if we have the chance to face them together, then there's nothing to fear."
"Maybe you're right," Peter said, letting out a sigh. "But I doubt our adventures will be like those of the superheroes in the comics. Real life doesn't work that way."
Subaru stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and looked at him intensely. "That's what you don't understand, Peter! Adventures are what you decide to make of them. You can choose to face the challenges or let them defeat you. And with everything you've overcome, I'm sure you can find a way to make things work."
Peter was moved by Subaru's determination. "You've always had that outlook on life, haven't you? You never let anything stop you."
"And neither should you," Subaru said, smiling. "Remember, he'll always be here to help you. Together, we can face anything. Imagine the stories we could tell!"
As they continued walking, the atmosphere grew lighter and lighter. Peter began to feel that Subaru's words truly made sense. Although his path had been difficult, having someone by his side made the burden more bearable.
Subaru continued talking about the things he wanted to do in the future, from exploring more places in Japan to having adventures beyond his wildest dreams. "We could climb mountains, visit ancient libraries , or even fight supervillains or the Seven Deadly Sins themselves. The possibilities are endless!"
Peter couldn't help but laugh. "That sounds like a plan! But maybe we should start with something less intense, like finding the best ramen in town."
"That's what I'm talking about!" Subaru exclaimed, excited. "A culinary adventure! You never know, maybe we'll find a place that serves ramen that gives you superpowers."
They both laughed as they continued their walk, feeling that the night was young and full of possibilities.
Change of scene
Meanwhile in New York…
In the heart of New York City, the Sanctum Sanctorum was completely silent, save for the occasional sound of an ancient book turning its pages. Dr. Stephen Strange floated in the air, his legs crossed and his eyes closed, deep in meditation. Around him, the mystical energy of the sanctum seemed to vibrate, as if it knew something important was about to happen.
In front of him floated an ancient book, its pages turning rapidly, pausing only when a particular one caught the attention of the mystical forces guiding it. At that moment, Strange frowned, though his eyes remained closed. Something disturbing was about to be revealed.
Suddenly, images began to flood Strange's mind. Fragments of an uncertain future, each more bewildering than the last. Although he was used to visions, these were different: confusing, chaotic, and full of hidden meaning.
First vision
In the first vision, Strange saw Spider-Man, but he wasn't alone. Beside him was an unknown young man, someone who seemed destined to die again and again. Strange could feel Peter Parker's pain and despair, as if each death of the young man was tearing him apart from within.
"What does this mean?" Strange muttered, swaying slightly in his meditation.
Second vision
The next vision showed Iron Fist held a metallic shield, in the center of which glowed a bright green gem. Strange felt a familiar energy coming from the shield, a connection to something ancient and powerful. But that power was also dangerous, and the sight left him even more confused.
"What does Danny Rand do with something like this...?"
Third vision
In the third vision, she saw White Tiger, but she wasn't wearing her usual outfit. Instead, she was dressed in an old military uniform, clearly from World War II. The image made her uneasy. It was as if she were out of time, trapped in a past that didn't belong to her.
Fourth vision
The next vision was of Luke Cage, dressed in a completely black suit and holding a golden staff. But the most disturbing thing wasn't his appearance, but the seven shadowy figures standing beside him. Their faces couldn't be distinguished, but Strange sensed a dark and dangerous energy emanating from them.
Fifth
The last vision was the most terrifying. Strange saw Nova along with four companions: a blonde woman in a yellow knight's outfit, another woman in a witch's cap and crimson red clothing, a third woman completely blue, and a man in a green cloak and adventurer's clothing. They were looking up at the sky, which was dark and full of chaos. Until it was seen that an eye opened. For a second the eye slowly moved away showing that it was a creature. But one in human form, but the further and further it moved away it became clear who it was. And then I saw it:
Galactus …
The creature was so immense that it made the Earth seem like a mere toy in its hands. Its presence was overwhelming, and Strange felt a chill run through his body.
"This... this can't be happening," he whispered, feeling the weight of the vision.
The impact of visions
With a stifled cry of pain, Doctor Strange was jolted out of his meditative state, falling to the ground along with the floating book. The impact left him breathing rapidly, clutching his chest as he tried to process what he had just seen.
"The kids... they're in danger," he said softly, his tone filled with urgency. He stood up slowly, shaking his hands as if trying to rid himself of the residual energy from the visions. "I don't know exactly what I saw, but I know I can't just sit here and do nothing. I must intervene before it's too late."
Preparing for the trip
Strange walked over to a nearby table, where a golden ring lay: the Portal Ring, one of the artifacts that allowed him to open portals to anywhere in the world. He quickly took it, slipping it into his hand. Then he returned to the spellbook he'd been using, making sure to bring it with him.
But before he could open a portal, something caught his attention. He turned his head toward a window, where the moon was softly illuminating a piece of furniture in the center of the room. On that piece of furniture rested the Eye of Agamotto , the pendant that contained the Time Stone. Strange walked toward him, carefully taking it.
"Just in case," she murmured, slipping the necklace around her neck. Then, with a quick gesture of her hands, she cast a spell that caused the Eye of Agamotto to open, revealing the glowing Time Stone within. The stone's energy filled the room, illuminating everything with a greenish glow.
With everything ready, Strange gestured with his hands, tracing a circle in the air. The golden portal opened before him, revealing a nighttime landscape of Japan on the other side. But before entering, Strange took one last look around the sanctuary, as if bidding a momentary farewell.
"I hope I'm not too late," he said, sounding worried. Then, without hesitation, he stepped through the portal, which closed behind him in a flash of golden light.
Just when Strange thought the visions couldn't get any more disturbing, an even more terrifying image swept through his mind. This time, he saw the most powerful villains the world had ever faced, all gathered in a shadowy alliance.
stood Apocalypse, the immortal mutant, alongside Thanos, the Mad Titan. He could also make out Kang the Conqueror, Ultron, and the Red Skull, though the latter seemed to look different, with a shield displaying a two-headed dragon instead of the Nazi symbol.
But the most disturbing thing was the villains he didn't recognize: All For One , Satella , the Demon King, and the Seven Deadly Sins. All of them shrouded in shadow, with only their glowing eyes visible.
And at the center of this terrible group was Doctor Doom , but with an energy and power Strange had never seen before . He seemed to be controlling everyone else, as if they were his puppets.
Strange let out a shaky breath. "I have little time left," he murmured, sensing the urgency of the situation. Activating his cloak, he rose into the air, determined to find the young heroes before it was too late.
Flying rapidly over the streets of Japan, Strange knew he had to act quickly. The vision he'd seen was a clear warning that a multiversal war of apocalyptic proportions was brewing. And if he didn't manage to find the younglings in time, they could find themselves caught in the eye of the storm.
"I have to find them," he told himself, his eyes scanning every corner of the city. "If those villains join forces, there'll be no stopping them. I must warn them and prepare them for what's coming."
As he flew, Strange felt a mystical connection guiding him toward a particular place. It was as if the forces of the universe were directing him where he needed to be. Without hesitation, he accelerated his flight, determined to arrive in time and prevent the vision from becoming reality.
