Sean's POV

I looked around Leo seemed completely in glee by who had arrived. Garrett seemed to be completely unaffected by it that is until my head started hurting.

Leo stood up looking around. "Garrett, I think we need to get him out of here. Whatever is happening isn't going to end well."

Leo's eyes closed for a second as he shifted between movements for a few minutes. Garrett just sat there watching this though his hand was moving ever so slightly on the bench.

"It is the southern one he is getting pulls from him." He turned to me eyes focusing on mine. "Sean, we know there are two moonchildren. Though you can't tell anyone else that we know there are two. The pull right now the headache is something that is being caused as the other one tries to connect to you and their other half."

I shut my eyes trying to concentrate on this feeling whatever it was there wasn't going to be a help for me right now. Just as more bells started going off forcing me to cover my eyes.

Garrett's voice came out as a whisper. "Leo, go stop those."

I held my head as Leo left. The warmth of Garrett's hands felt calming to whatever this was inside me right now. When Leo returned, he looked grim. "The rest of the legend is here, and they are requesting to see Sean in the wing."

Garrett growled. "We can't hand him over like this. Especially not with the wolf just presenting his senses are overthrowing themselves. You know what this feels like, you remember being turned."

Leo nodded. "I can go to Carm and request more time, but I have to give her a valid reason. You know how much she will be wanting to make that introduction."

Garrett nodded. "I know but we need time and him being near the two of us is going to help and I don't think we are going to be able to go into the wing with him."

I looked up at the two of them. "Is this going to make it easier for everyone if I can take something for this headache and just go into the wing?"

Garrett gulped then looked over at Leo with pleading eyes. Leo hung his head. "I can't see how the introduction is going to go. There are too many factors that I can't control specifically Havok and Chaos they are both unpredictable." He glanced at Garrett for a second as the two of them had a private conversation.

My head hurt too much to try and figure out what was going on. Leo was lifting me to my feet before I knew what was going on. Garrett was staying back in the garden I could see as I looked back at him. "I want to know where we are going?"

Leo smiled. "One of the legends owes me a favour so he is going to help with the headache before we introduce you to everyone."

I focused on him for a second. "I thought you couldn't go into the wing where they live?"

Leo laughed. "Surprise I never lost my key into the wing, but we are going in the back door of it and a door that very few people let alone legends know about."

We walked down the hallway for a second before coming to a curtain in the wall. He moved it aside gesturing for me to go through the short hallway that led to a door. Leo knocked quietly in a simple song before stepping back.

A slightly older man came to the door with a smile. "Leo, it has been far too long since you have been in the wing."

Leo nodded to him. "You know when I made the decision I did, that I was no longer welcome here."

He smiled at me. "Oh, you are in some pain. Someone must be presenting which means we should be out of here soon."

Leo glanced around as if purposely not making eye contact with him. He touched my shoulder before turning to the curtain. "Sean, I trust Havok with my life. Go ahead and ask him anything but remember what we said. I am going to leave you in his capable hands."

He left me standing there with this vampire that I didn't know. Havok sat down on the small chair in the room. "You don't want the pain to be gone?"

I looked at him. "I do want it gone. I just don't know who you are other than the second you name was mentioned Alec got extremely pissed off."

He laughed for a second. "That would be because of Cole. He and Alec don't exactly get along very well as both of them fight for Carm's attention. Though to be honest with you Chaos gets it more than any of us when he is around. I can't say that I blame Carm for that I mean with who he is it is very hard after he took an interest in her for him to deny her any wish."

I nodded and thought for a second. "The headache is going away. How did you do that?"

Havok laughed. "It is slower if I can't touch you, but I can expand or contract things by merely thinking about them." He stayed sitting in the chair calmly just watching as I started to pace the small room. "You must have other questions, go ahead ask away?"

I looked him straight in the eyes, "What is with these outfits? I mean Leo and Garrett get to wear normal clothes, but we have to wear these. It is harder to move in them." I gestured to the cloak I had on.

He laughed for a second. "I tell you that you can ask me about anything, and you go straight to the clothes we are wearing." He scratched the bit of stubble on his chin. "I will say that I know I said you could ask anything, but I will arrange for you to talk to Chaos about your dislike for the outfits. I will let you know that you aren't the only one who dislikes the cloaks, Carm in fact very vocally voices her displeasure in having to wear what she calls a blanket."

I laughed for a second settling on the bed. "She gave me the impression that she likes the cloaks. When we were in the garden Leo was going to let me change into some of his clothes only Carm took them from me explaining that Garrett and Leo don't feel the need to dress like we do."

He nodded. "So, I will let Chaos know about you wish to speak to him about the cloaks. But you must have other questions, especially if what I have heard about your day so far is true?"

I shook ever so slightly. "What did you hear?"

"That you and Xavier got into it in the hallway in front of everyone over Garrett. That you didn't want to go into the room with Marco because you were worried about Carm." He moved over to the comfy chair in the room. "Then there are all the questions you had asked Torrent."

I gulped, starting off slowly. "Okay what is Xavier's deal?"

He leaned back. "Xavier, I will agree with Carm on the fact that if it does end up being a head-to-head match up you will not win." I was about to say something when he put his hand up stopping me from speaking. "I understand your kitten that is inside you said you could do it, but you don't understand the rules of engagement. From all accounts Leo was trying to find a way to step in on the fight and defend you before Torrent decided to stop it." He leaned forward. "Though Xavier is being talked to about what almost happened, as he got too degrading towards Garrett." He took a breath. "The story between those two is a long one, they were really close actually at one point. When we first found Garrett and found out what he was Xavier became very close to him. They were the best of friends, though Xavier does compare their relationship to the Fox and Hound story. When Garrett stopped being able to feel the vampire he was connected to, Xavier made this huge plan to runaway with him. As most of the legend did believe they were lovers. But Garrett knew that if they ran, they would be hunted down and both would be killed." He leaned back listening to the door for a second. "It is speculated though neither will confirm or deny this as to who started the conversation. But Garrett ended up running from the palace about a week or so later. Xavier was devastated; the entire wing of the palace was unbearable. When he was found and brought back to the palace, Xavier demanded that they get to see each other. One conversation later and about a week of hell Garrett is what he is today. Nobody knew if Xavier biting him was an act of selfishness or one of friendship. But they have never been the same as they once were before that chat."

I nodded thinking. "So now they just hate each other? I don't get it."

He nodded slowly. "Garrett has both the urges of his wolf and a vampire. He hasn't endangered lives like Leo did a few times, so he only gets out of the palace when it is absolutely necessary for him to go hunting to satisfy that wolf half. Before all of this he was free, and truth be told if Xavier hadn't gone looking for him that morning, we would have never known he was gone. They both blame the other for the current situation they are in. Xavier is still paying off the debt for taking the kill away from Aro on that day, and Garrett must find and successfully end the curse on all three species before he can leave the palace."

I smiled finally understanding the situation they were both in. "Then why is the situation between Carm and Leo so different."

He laughed lightening the mood. "Those two is actually funny. Carm was present when Leo was supposed to have been killed. But right as it was about to happen Carm had been able to activate an ability that she didn't even know she had. She had run between Leo and the fire torch being burned pretty badly in order to save him. Following this it was very obvious how he was meant to be saved and become a vampire. They were close but this brought the two of them even closer, though neither one ever felt romantically connected to the other. They will joke around with the other and I do miss having Leo on missions because if Carm was going to do something insane, even without his abilities Leo could stop her. It was as if they were connected to each other."

I laughed for a second remembering Carm's pouting in the forest this morning. "So Carm is almost a loose cannon with and endless amount of ammo?"

He laughed nodding his head. "I'm going to have to tell Chaos that one. But to answer your question pretty much. Her abilities are almost endless, though one of the better ones in hand to hand because most of hers work better if she is touching the person."

I sat there quiet for a minute just looking down at my feet. I had more questions but some of them got a bit personal and I wasn't sure if he would be comfortable answering them.

He stood up walking over to the bed having a seat beside me. "I know this is scary, most of us have no idea how to help you. The only ones you really know and trust in this wing are Carm and Torrent, well maybe him. You are more comfortable around Leo and Garrett, I suspect because they are more people loving individuals. I think you only have opened up to me because of what Leo said to you before he left the room."

I nodded to him deciding to go with the question that everyone had said would have to be answered by Carm just to see what he would do. "When we got back from the woods and walk through town. Carm's arms were bleeding it looked like. She could barely stand on her own too. Splinter and Alec took her off to see Garrett, but Garrett came to find me really quickly after that. Then he called me a beacon to Demetri."

He smiled. "I didn't exactly hear a question in there but I'm sure I can guess what it is. Carm has had a second type of death. Whenever she smells human blood until she drinks the blood of the human, she smelt her arms will bleed and hurt. This will cripple her, eventually it will start to drag down her arms and hands dripping onto the floor, which is what you have seen earlier today. Garrett's and Leo's blood can heal her when she needs it, according to Carm the taste is something horrible, but it stops the bleeding because all she can smell is their blood." He rubbed his chin more turning so he was more facing me. "As for the beacon comment, Demetri would be connected to a few individuals, though when Garrett called you that I think he was testing the responses from him."

I blushed slightly thinking about the next question. "I was wondering there are 15 members of the legend, what can all of them do? I have seen Trance and Torrent. Carm's is a mixture of everything basically. But the others."

He nodded. "Marco is like Carm, though abilities she can use, he can't, then it is opposite. Mine I have explained to you. Splinter can adapt and manipulate his body to the world around him. Anything he touches he can do this to as well. Xavier has the ability to produce widespread hallucinations which can have physical properties. Fido has the ability to obtain the physical abilities or senses of any given animal on the planet. Noddy can change the state of his body into liquid and then to ice or vapour."

I nodded. "And the rest of the legend?"

He laughed, pulling out his phone for a second looking at the messages. Before typing into it a message and putting it face down on his lap. "I'm getting there. Chaos is a poisonous weapon. Pretty much what you seen Carm do to that one captive, he can do but on a grander scale. He can do anything from paralyze to turn it green with infection. Cole is our tornado, basically he can call upon the wind and get it to spin but then it goes out of control and unless he is standing in its path and absorbs it back up then it will just keep going until it runs out of steam. Did you want to know the other four or did you actually want to meet them first?"

I looked down, playing with my fingers for a minute. "Will any of them try to attack me like Xavier did?" I asked.

Havok shrugged. "Honestly, a few might not be happy being pulled away from the task they were on to come back here to help deal with this. Though trust me, if anyone does there will be consequences. Now especially that both Chaos and I are here." He stood up holding out his hands for me. "Come, I can smell that we finally have food here. Though Carm is going to be angry it is this early I'm guessing that with the arrival of everyone else they wanted to eat sooner rather than later."

I joined him for the walk down the hallway. He pointed out the few rooms that were there though he said there was no rhyme or reason for the locations, but each door had the person's name on it though some were easier to read than others. Havok did explain that the room we were in could be mine if I wanted it having direct access to the hallway would be nice so that Leo could get to me if something was necessary.

When we walked into the main room in the wing there were people milling around. Though by the smell some of them were human others the red eyes gave them away as vampires. I looked around trying to spot Carm because she would be a familiar face for me.

Xavier came up beside me, with a smirk. "Oh, she doesn't come for general feeding. Afterall poor little Carm would be very much in pain if that was the case."

Havok turned to him, his red eyes growing murderous. "You might be the brother of a legend, but you will remember your place."

He nodded and bowed before walking away.

After he had left the words clicked inside my brain finally. "He has a brother who is a part of the legend? Who is it?"

Havok put his head in his hands before turning to Trance. "Carm is in the room?"

She nodded to him. "Chaos is with her. He took 2 humans there for them to share."

He released my hand and then clapped pulling everyone's eyes to us. "Alright everyone, I guess it is about that time now to do what we have come here to get done."

Torrent came up beside me taking my hand leading me away from the group. "I know Alec has been giving you blood bags. So, if you would prefer that rather than drinking from a live person we can arrange for it."

I nodded to him. "That would be advisable and appreciated."

He smiled before leading me to a chair so I could sit and watch. I did wonder what the situation was with Carm. Then I thought about it, the blood from all these humans would cause her arms to bleed. I started focusing on each of the vampires. If Xavier had a brother who was a part of this group, I should be able to spot them. When Torrent was done with his meal, he came over to me with a smirk on his face. Just shaking his head.

"I can see the wheels turning behind your eyes. What are you thinking about?"

I laughed. "Havok said something about Xavier having a brother, I was just trying to figure out who it might be."

Torrent turned to look at the room. "Did you want to meet him?"

I shrugged. "Honestly, if they are alike, I really don't know if that is a good idea."

He waved his hand dismissing my comment before pulling me to my feet. He smiled and started pulling me over to a group of vampires. Havok was standing near them though not engaged in the conversation at least until Torrent decided to pull me to the group. Xavier was sitting there on his hands on a pillow as if he was on a time out.

"Malachi," Torrent greeted the one with a smile.

Xavier went to open his mouth to say something before one of the people in the circle gestured towards him.

Malachi, I'm guessing, tutted Xavier on the nose before Xavier groaned.

He rose in one fluid motion placing a hand on Xavier that had him staying. "You must be Sean. Carm has shared quite a bit about you." He took my other hand walking me away from the group.

I looked between Xavier and him trying to see the resemblance like I had between Demetri and Benjamin. Though there was nothing there, the two were completely different.

"I don't see it." I whispered. His eyes met mine as if he didn't understand. "I don't see how you and Xavier are brothers. You are so different."

He shrugged going to the window. "Are we really? Or maybe it is that you met my little brother when the wolf was around, and Xavier got all jealous."

What he was saying he was speaking loud enough that Xavier could hear which was causing him to get angry about the situation. He was pushing him, trying to teach him not to be a bully by being a bully to him.

I shook my head. "No, you are right. I can see it now. Both of you are just bullies. Only he was able to stop by Torrent merely requesting it of him. Who is going to stop you?"

Carm came into the room at that point followed by a dark-skinned vampire. She laughed leaning against him before meeting my eyes. "Movie time!" she declared walking over to the stack of DVDs looking around the room.

Malachi's eyes went to her. "We are not watching the fox and the hound again."

Her eyes sparked, "Why don't you try and stop it then." She smiled to him batting innocent eyelashes towards who I'm pretty sure was Chaos.

He laughed for a second. "Fine first one to Havok gets to pick the movie."

Chaos was just leaning back in the chaise he was sitting on grinning. With Malachi's attention on Carm I decided to walk over to him. He smiled welcoming me to have a seat on the chair that was beside. "This should be funny. Carm and Malachi get into this argument almost every night."

I shook my head. "Carm likes that movie?"

He just shrugged. "I don't think so. I think she just uses it to rub something into Malachi and Xavier's faces. I don't really know because for a part of the movie she is crying almost or has her hand covering her ears so hard that they are red."

I laughed. "How often are they here together?"

He sat there quiet for a second before Carm's phone started to ring. When he looked at the screen, he called out to her pulling her away from the argument she was having. "Carm, call coming in from Sam Ulley. You want me to pick it up?"

She turned putting a hand on Malachi before walking over to the phone. Before walking out of the room talking on it quietly.

Chaos looked at me. "You are going to want to talk to her when she comes back in. There have been a few developments that we think are going to affect a lot of what is happening."

Havok looked over at us, before walking towards us with a grim look on his face. "The last time Sam Ulley called there was a serious situation there that the Volturi were going to cause a problem. What is it this time?"

Chaos shrugged. "I don't know the whole story. But earlier today when Carm and I were having some of our time. Paul sent Carm a picture of the catlike tattoo that Leo has and asked what she knew about it. It would seem that the cat might be living up on the reservation. He mentioned the word imprint and Embry though don't know."

Havok nodded. "Okay so the cat half might be found. Though where is the wolf half of the equation for us?"

Chaos shrugged. "Not a clue. We only know that Garrett has been able to find one."

Havok shook his head. "The taste I got when I took Sean's headache away was definitely wolf." He went quiet for a second. "Unless …" He walked away from us, running for the door that led out of the room though I wasn't too sure where.

Chaos was up on his feet, before glancing down at me. "Do you want to come or stay here?"

When I took too long in his opinion to answer he glanced around the room. "Cole. Stay with him. Do not leave his side, not even if he demands it. In fact, take him to Benjamin."

Cole nodded as Chaos ran out the same door that Carm had left by.

Paul's POV

A vampire as a guidance counsellor. That was a rich idea. Though normally they would clear a thing like this through Sam.

I had had a really good patrol this morning then went to have lunch and make out time with Rachel before I was going to be heading back to school for the afternoon. Jared had been super annoyed about us meeting up with Alex for the afternoon tomorrow after school. I'm surprised that Kim had agreed to doing this.

That was until I almost shifted in the living room right on top of Rachel. Her eyes went all worried as I felt Charlie pulling me to the school. I made sure that I kissed her once before running for my truck. Surprisingly I had managed to beat everyone else there, but I knew that the connection between me and Charlie was very much there.

I had gone to class but was later interrupted when Sam had messaged me asking me to send a message with asking me to pass a message picture onto Carm and see if she could look into it for us.

After second period that afternoon I ran into Embry, he seemed very high strung about the fact that Charlie was going grocery shopping with Birkoff, Owen and Ryan. Quil was trying to calm him down because it was someone that they trusted.

Jared met me in our final social studies class with a grim smile.

"I don't want to give Alex a chance."

I laughed. "You and me both. But Jake asked us to do this for us to keep face with Michael and Nikita that we are listening."

He nodded. "I know but I doubt anything she can say will make us put the vote to Embry to allow her to do this."

I smiled at him deciding to get off this topic. "So, Sam asked me to text a message to Carm earlier. Last time I did that she did stop by for a visit. I can't wait to introduce her to Charlie."

Jared looked at me and started laughing. "I seriously can't see that being a good idea. You very well know what Carm will try to do."

I shrugged. "I doubt Embry will let her pull Charlie away from him with her." I thought I would miss Charlie if she decided to leave. She had been there for me when Carm had left as someone I could just talk to. She understood the missing a part of your soul.

Jared smiled. "Jake said we can ask Owen the last questions we were supposed to ask him on Sunday when we had to leave early."

I nodded. "I actually like Owen. I mean he seems to think he can beat Charlie and Embry when they are playing video games." I laughed for a second.

Jared smiled. "I remember the last time we tried to beat them. It never works even the two of us using our wolf gifts we can't beat them."

I laughed for a second thinking about an idea. "I wonder if Carm and I teamed up against Embry and Charlie who would win?"

Jared stopped to think about the idea. "I mean you and Carm if you could reconnect would probably win but against Charlie and Embry the two of them are still connected and the connection has never been broken."

I nodded. "You are probably right. But hey if anyone could do it and play even it would be the two of us if we hadn't split. She is just as good at video games as anyone."

Jared smiled. "Did you two play the last time she came by for a visit?"

I shook my head. "Actually, no we didn't play anything last time. We just spent the time together. She said everything was getting rough back in Italy. Sam said she was doing okay."

When my phone went off in my pocket, I looked at it. 'Paul, nice picture. I have seen it before though I need to chat to someone who used to be a member of the Legend. I will catch him later tonight if I get a chance. If you don't hear from me by tomorrow lunch time have Sam, call my cell. Means I got distracted.'

I smiled. "That was Carm. She has seen the picture that Sam sent me. I'm going to slip outside to call him and let him know what she has said."

Jared laughed. "Class is over in 5 minutes. Wait until then."

I glared at the clock, then looked down at my book. "I'm going to have to get Charlie to help me with stuff. I mean she is really good at this stuff."

Jared smiled. "Maybe tomorrow night you can snag her for a bit, and I can talk to Embry about our chat with Alex. Speaking of that any idea about what you want to do like what questions you want to ask her when we do meet her?"

I shook my head. "No. Well other than wanting to find out why did she think it was a good idea to spy on us twice? And why she thinks she is the better person when Charlie literally only has 3 female friends."

After class was done, we seen Charlie in the hallway walking towards Birkoff's classroom. We knew that Tamara was causing issues.

After a bit when we were chilling at Sam's, Leah landed there coming straight towards me.

"You know your boyfriend is on the couch, right?" I laughed at her.

She shook but nudged her head towards the backyard. Walking for the door.

I nodded getting up following her out the back door pulling Embry along with me. "Leah wants to talk to us outside."

Leah glared at me when we landed outside pointing to Embry. "You brought him?"

I smiled. "I figured you had gone over to John's home to get him clothes so if something happened you would need both of us."

Leah nodded. "While I was over there. Alex caught me. She wants to do a movie night, like a girls only movie night."

I shrugged. "So?" I was confused what this would have to do with us.

She shook her head. "She wants to do a movie night with me, her, Nikita, and Charlie."

Embry shook his head. "No. You can't handle things if something goes wrong. We don't know anything about Charlie yet."

I looked at him. "Actually, Sam asked me to send a message to Carm with an image in to see if she recognizes it. She said she did, but she needed to talk to someone and to give her a call tomorrow at lunch time unless she contacts me before that." I turned back to Leah. "But I don't think the idea of a movie night like that is a good idea. Besides Charlie doesn't even do typical movie nights, the girl doesn't eat junk food."

Embry nodded. "Ya remember the last one we had here. She took the remote then went into the kitchen and made us all wait until she had a snack made up for herself. It was just fruit and caramel dipping sauce."

I laughed remember how Rachel had complained that we had to wait for Charlie to get herself a snack when there was a perfectly good bag of chips sitting a foot away from where she was. "The only junk food she normally eats is smores and that is only when she can do the marshmallows herself."

Leah nodded. "I told Alex that the junk food would be a problem. But I also told her that the bigger problem was going to be the two of you. Specifically, you Paul with the way the two of you are with each other."

Embry looked at her. "And what did she say?"

Leah shrugged. "She asked what she needed to do to get you to say it would be an okay idea. I told her that you both would have to feel comfortable letting me be the one to look after Charlie and that wasn't going to happen any time soon." She looked back at the house. "When I left, I ran into Nikita and Michael in the yard. Nikita asked if I was coming back for a celebration dinner from John passing his tests."

I smiled at her. "That is great, are you going for the celebration?"

She shook her head. "Nope. I don't want to go through that. I'm pretty sure something is going to happen because Owen went grocery shopping with Charlie, Ryan and Birkoff."

I laughed. "Who's idea was that?"

Embry smiled. "Charlie asked this morning if he could. Ryan said he would text him to ask. We found out during our computer class that he was coming."

Sam came out the door. "Leah, John is looking for you." He smiled coming down the deck steps setting on one of the chairs there gesturing us to come join him. "Embry, I asked Paul to send something to Carm for me."

I ducked my head. "I already told him. I got a reply back from Carm too. She must be in Volterra, because she said that she had to talk to someone who used to be a part of her group only if she doesn't call by tomorrow at lunch time you are to call her cell phone."

Sam nodded. "Well, that is good." He motioned to the chairs. "The three of us need to talk."

We sat down smiling at him.

"Okay. So, I had a chat with Ryan. He surprised me when he mentioned about the idea of you sleeping over. He said he had a plan if you and Charlie need to sleep together."

Just as he finished Embry's cell started ringing. He blushed as he pressed answer, I knew it was Charlie by his blushing. "He is blushing Charlie." I yelled at the phone.

He swatted his hands at me. "I am not." He turned his attention back to the phone. "Okay sounds good so did you want to work on it tonight?"

She must have answered him with a no or a not right now because he got all sad.

I laughed for a second. "Oh Charlie, you have upset him. He is all pouty now."

Sam covered his mouth as he attempted to not laugh.

Embry smiled into the phone. "Okay. I will work on my part of it, and we can chat about that tomorrow during class." Pause "I get that she wants a free ride, but Birkoff isn't going to do that right?" she must have answered no as he sagged happy. "Okay, have a good sleep. Cuddle with that wolf. Kisses."

Sam smiled. "All good?"

He nodded. "Actually, yes very good. Ryan and Birkoff talked to Charlie about the entire idea of me sleeping over. In fact, our assignment for next week in Birkoff's class has to do with part of us getting to sleep in the same room."

I smiled. "Finally, you two can admit you are more than just friends."

Embry just laughed. "I'll leave that up to Charlie. She doesn't like the idea of labels you both know that." He turned to Sam. "So, we just wait to see if Carm calls before tomorrow then at lunch tomorrow you can call her?"

Sam nodded. "I guess. It might be the closest we have come to finding things out. I trust Carm with a lot of stuff and I know she won't lead us wrong."

I smiled at them. "Good. Can we go inside and eat now?"

Sam laughed. "You sound like Charlie."
