Fate is often a cunning and cruel mistress. Many bow to it, and many attempt to break free of her grip, often with little success. However, there are times when Fate spins out of control due to a new player being added to a game of destiny.
That new player would unravel millenia of tradition and laws. And it all started... With a deal.
ICW Headquarters, 1976
Inside the General Assembly Room numerous loud voices could be heard shouting, all in different accented English, with one voice rising steadily louder, "Order!"
"Order!"
"ORDER!!!"
He paused for a second before shouting at the top of his voice, "*SHUT UP!!!!*" While at the same time releasing a loud concussive blast from his wand.
It became silent as everyone in the assembly paid attention to the Representative of the Wizardry of England. "Thank you. Now, it has come to our attention that a Dark Lord has been gathering a large militia of sorts to take over all of England."
"Are we seeing the rise of another Grindelwald?" A Japanese wizard with a short graying beard asked.
"Possibly, if we do not do something about it." The Assembler answered.
There was a soft murmur among those gathered while up in the rows reserved for nobility and royalty, was a man for whom Fate herself would get a great headache from, alongside his wife.
Yet for now the British Representative stood and spoke, "Great honorable gentleman and woman. I can assure you one and all, that this upstart shall be dealt with swiftly."
"How will that be done?" A French man with slick blonde hair asked.
"I have been informed that a secret society unbeknownst to the Ministry has been formed to combat this Dark Lord." The Representative responded.
The man in the front row with his wife frowned, believing this was a foolish plan. He then asked, "How can this Secret Society guarantee to handle this Dark Lord?" The man was the tallest one in the room, with pale skin, red eyes, long silver fox hair and mustache and goatee that ended at a long point. His wife had slightly graying blonde hair, sharp gray eyes like a cat's eye.
"I second that." Said the American representative of Wizardry. "A Secret Society that we don't know who is leading it, is going to lead the charge against this Dark Lord. What are the rules of engagement? How are they going to keep them held captive if they capture anyone we need more than just say we can handle it from you."
"I suppose you have a better option in mind, Capitalist Pig?" A Russian Representative asked, sneering at the American.
"I have a suggestion." The Royal King spoke up.
Everyone turned their attention to him. "And what is your suggestion, King Tepes?"
The man, Vlad Dracula Tepes, Sovereign of Romania and King of all Vampires, stood up from his seat and straightened out his suit. "It is clear that this Dark Lord managed to gather his followers through ideological means. Clearly he represented something to a group of civilians, and it has gone unnoticed for a while. Now that they have initiated their attacks, the Ministry is scattering to fix it."
Dracula took a quick breath before continuing, "I propose a solution. To remove the Ministry and replace it with an Occupational Form of Government. I will lead the charge against this Dark Lord, and see that everyone who is involved is brought to their knees."
There was a great silence before the Russian, or better seen as the Soviet Representative, or the Magical Eastern European spoke up. "I agree however it is clear that it should be the People's army who lead the charge." Of course, this got the response you would expect the moment a member of the Communist Party suggested such a thing.
"NO!" The American Representative yelled out, "American blood has been spilled by this bastard! The United States has lost 12 of its citizens to him and his inbred band of bastards and bitches, if anything we should lead this charge!" He paused before looking and sneering at the British Representative, "Since the British Ministry doesn't want to bring its 'Good and Upstanding' Pureblood terrorists to get the justice they deserve!"
Soon, more Country Representatives began shouting and voicing their own opinions about who should lead the force. Dracula's wife, Lisa Tepes looked at all of this and shook her head. "Is this what politics are? Just a bunch of men shouting for the credit of taking down an enemy?"
Dracula frowned, "Unfortunately. But that will change now." He then shouted, "CEASE YOUR INFANTILE SQUABBLING!!" It silenced everyone as Dracula glared at every single magical representative. "You call yourselves Representatives of your Governments and Countries? You shame them all! Now be silent as I propose my plan for this Dark Lord." He growled, his eyes glowing bright red like flames.
One rather brave representative who ironically was from the King's homeland of Romania stood up and said, "Of course Your Majesty. Please, tell us your plan."
Dracula nodded at the Representative before addressing everyone. "As I was saying, The Ministry has allowed this Dark Lord to rise and raise an armor of pure blood Witches and Wizards in occupying all of England until the mortals are either enslaved or killed. And relying on a Secret Society to face them is a guarantee for disaster. Hence, I want to establish an Occupation Government to restrict the Ministry's control, and declare Martial Law until this Dark Lord and all of his followers are either captured or killed. If you approve of this, then I assure you, this little skirmish will be dealt with quickly."
They seemed to process his words before the Representative from France stood up. "It is how we treated Germany after ze war."
America added, "and Japan."
Next was Belgium to speak, "Needless to say, we have seen the success of such endeavors."
An African Representative then asked Dracula, "How will you get the Ministry to accept what your plan is for them?"
Dracula turned to her and responded, "It's a simple ultimatum. They accept our help, or face complete obliteration by a Dark Lord that they allowed to rise in the first place."
Meanwhile, the British Representative was in a tizzy. 'This isn't how Dumbledore said this would go! He guaranteed that they would go along with his plan, not this! Oh dear, this isn't good.'
America stood up and spoke with clear resolve. "As it's clear this threat not only threatens the SS but also global peace then America seconds this motion for armed intervention and occupation of Magical Britain."
France sighed as he said, "Oh great, the Americans believe it's the liberation of Paris again, but France supports the motion and offers their support."
"Just be glad we let De Gaulle march into Paris, we could have easily let the British do it instead." The American Representative replied.
Russia stood up, "Russia will not support any movement that these Capitalists support. I move that Russia leads this Occupation."
"I would rather see His Majesty lead this Occupation than Russia." The Romanian Representative spoke up.
"Africa will support this Occupation under de King's leadership." The African Representative reported.
"America will support the King's Plan!" The American Representative called out.
Dracula looked around with a small smile and crossed his arms slightly as he nodded slowly, "I humbly accept your support."
The British Representative panicked and thought to himself, 'Oh bollocks, this wasn't supposed to happen! I must warn Dumbledore.'
"Uh ah, ahem. I think we should have a quick recess then we may reconvene to discuss this. What say you, Ladies and Gentlemen?" The British Representative asked.
Dracula looked at him with suspicion, clearly there was something more afoot, otherwise he would've graciously accepted his help.
"Why?" The American Representative called out, "So you can warn the leader of the so called Secret Society?" He said the words with so much venom everyone, even Dracula could feel it.
The British Representative didn't say anything except he looked way more worried. Sneering, the American said. "Go and do so, you coward! Warn whoever your Master is! It won't change a thing, like always we're coming to clean up your mess!"
Dracula looked towards the American Representative in surprise before smirking. "I must agree, tell them I am coming, and I intend to fix this mess and make it for the better."
The Assembler looked around and with a slight nod he filled the room with his voice. "Then the motion for an armed intervention and occupation until such time as Magical Britain is able to be allowed self governance passes with a clear majority motion." With a bang of the gavel, the motion was carried out and passed.
Lisa just looked around bewildered as she asked her husband, "Did politics just happen? Or was that something else?"
"You saw politics happen, darling." Dracula replied before the American Representative walked over to Dracula.
"Your Highness, should you need assistance in this occupation, don't hesitate to call me." He said, before the two of them shook hands.
That's when the French Representative walked to Dracula as well. "I am in agreement with the American. I am more than willing to supply enforcements to assist. While normally I would not affiliate myself with British problems, it is best to handle this before the rest of Europe is sucked into this war."
"I will let you know, Mr. Delacour." Dracula responded, shaking his hand.
The man smiled as he said, "I mean it, I'd rather not see my nation fall to a tyrant a second time." With a nod, he walked off leaving the King of the Night with the representative of his homeland.
"How should we handle this, Your Majesty?" The Representative of Romania asked.
"Prepare your troops, I will see to my own forces." Dracula ordered.
"As you wish, Regele Meu." The Romanian woman said while bowing to her true king, her true ruler, not that fat Communist fraud of a leader.
Dracula and Lisa walked out of the conference room, the King already running a plan after plan in his hand about how to go about his Occupation.
2 Weeks Later, The Ministry of Magic
Millicent Bagnold was worried, scratch that she wasn't just worried she was absolutely livid as well, her fellow purebloods had really gone and screwed the pooch this time, they had managed to get the attention of the King, and anyone or thing that had the attention of the King, well if it was a problem it didn't remain one for long.
She was hunched over her desk looking over paperwork and moaning about how idiotic her countrymen could be, despite the fact that many proclaimed to be free thinking men and women, they fell so easily into to the two main camps, the Dark Faction and the Light Faction, and anyone else want to the Grey Faction, and they were the only true free thinkers the others, Bah! Idiots that hung to extremes.
The Dark Faction wanted to expand Pure blood rule over the Muggles despite the fact that she knew that was a very bad idea, and the Light Faction was just as bad. They had been continually labeling neutral magic as dark or borderline dark! It had especially been worse lately because of Dumbledore, oh the thought of that senile old fool made her want to strangle him with his beard.
But that action or thought could wait due to the fact she had a bigger problem to worry about. The arrival of King Dracula Tepes and his Multinational army. Oh how she wished she could deal with that terrorist bastard but she had been ham-stringed by the purebloods! 'Oh well.' She thought, 'At least the King will give them the wake up call they deserve.'
A knock on the door to her office made her groan and look at the door, "Yes?"
The door opened to find her assistant, a young Cornelius Fudge walked in. "Ma'am, Professor Dumbledore wishes to speak with you. May I allow him in?"
She could feel her blood pressure spike at hearing one of the current banes of her existence want to speak to her but she still needed to be civil. Taking a breath, "Yes" She said to Cornelius. "Please send him in."
He nodded before closing the door. A few moments later, a man with a long greying beard and half-moon spectacles walked in. "Minister Bagnold. A pleasure to see you in these dark times." He said with that grandfatherly tone that made her want to rip his beard off and make him eat it.
"Professor Dumbledore, what can I do for you?" She asked in as polite a tone as she could muster.
"Well." Dumbledore started out, "I believe we need to find a way to stop this King from marching on Britain. After all, this is a purely British matter. I don't see the reason why we need other countries to interfere in this matter."
'Oh.' Millicent thought, 'It stopped being a British matter when those bloody dark wizards killed American and Continental citizens, you geriatric fool.'
"I don't see how Mr. Dumbledore." She said "It passed a resolution at the ICW with numerous supporters from various countries."
"It is quite unnecessary, Millicent. We can handle this ourselves. Our power in the Light will defeat the Dark." Dumbledore replied.
Millicent sighed, "If you want to overrule this passing, be my guest, but it is completely out of my hands, and it is out of yours."
"Minister, surely you understand that having the King of Vampires join this conflict will leave us vulnerable and become his servants. We must oppose this Occupation." Dumbledore pleaded.
"Listen, I don't like it any more than you do, but this conflict with... You-Know-Who, has already been going on for several years. If Dracula has a means to destroy the Dark Lord and ensure that no more innocent magical and non-magical folk die, then we must at least give him a chance." Millicent replied, putting her fingers to the bridge of her nose.
"I see" Dumbledore said, his voice conveying his tried and true Grandfatherly tone, unfortunately for him Millicent was immune to his tone, being older than him by a good few years.
"So," She said, "unless you have an idea or have something useful to say, please leave Mr. Dumbledore I have important paperwork to finish."
He had a sad frown on his face, though the question of it being genuine would always be asked as he stood up and walked out of her office, leaving the Minister alone. She simply continued her work for several more hours.
Once more, a knock on her door would break her concentration as she asked, "Yes?" It was Cornelius Fudge once more, however he looked pale, as if he saw the most horrendous creature in front of him.
"What is wrong, Cornelius?" She asked, slightly worried about the state he was in.
"It's... It's-It's Him, Minister... He's arrived." Cornelius revealed.
Millicent's eyes widened, "I… I see." she said, shocked that he had arrived earlier than she expected. She took a moment to collect herself, and with a deep breath she said with a strong voice. "Very well, let him in Cornelius."
Cornelius' head shook as he tried to nod. He opened the door fully, and the King of all Vampires entered into her office, with two others by his side. Lisa was holding Dracula's arm while a man with long platinum blonde hair that reached to the small of his back, yellow eyes, and a regal black suit with yellow accents and a cape chained around him. This was Alucard, the son of Dracula.
"Minister Bagnold, a pleasure to finally meet you." Dracula said, bowing his head politely before sitting down at one of the chairs in front of her desk. Lisa sat down at the other chair while Alucard stood next to his mother's side.
Millicent stood up straight behind her desk and gave a formal curtsy as she welcomed the King of all Vampires and his family.
"Your Majesties." she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "Welcome to Magical Britain."
"Thank you, while we do wish it was under better circumstances, these are simply desperate times." Lisa said gently. "I'm Lisa Tepes, Vlad's wife."
"I am Alucard, son of Dracula and Lisa Tepes." He introduced himself with a bow of his head.
Millicent sighed, looking up at the royal family as she straightened up, "As do I, Lady Lisa." she said, addressing Lisa, she turned towards the son of Dracula. "Welcome as well, young lord, I hope your stay is a fine one."
"Thank you, Minister Bagnold." Alucard nodded.
"Let us begin, you understand what our arrival entails, correct?" Dracula asked.
"I do," she said, "You and an army are here to clean up our resident dark lord problem." She trailed off at the last second before reaching into the top drawer of her desk.
"Here, Your Majesty." she said, placing a very large Manila folder across from him.
With an eyebrow raised he asked "And what exactly is this Minister Bagnold?"
"My own private research on who exactly is supporting this so-called Dark Lord," she said, "mind you these are just hearsay and speculation, but it's speculation based on what the individuals have said and pieces of legislation they have attempted to pass."
Dracula grabbed the folder and began to look it over with his family. After a few moments, Dracula looked towards the Minister. "These are indeed very serious if proven to be true. We will have much to work with, and we need assistance in sorting out the innocent and the guilty. If we were to simply go after everyone in this folder, then a good percentage of your population would be culled."
Millicent nodded, nervous about how it would all go down. "I-Indeed, my King. We will of course cooperate with you and your army in an attempt to put this conflict to rest." Millicent looked like she wanted to say something she opened and closed her mouth a couple of times.
"Yes." Dracula said with a raised eyebrow. "You wish to say something."
"Y…yes" she replied with a shaking nod. "I do hate to cast a shadow on him but I believe Dumbledore will attempt to waylay you somehow, he was in here sometime before you and your family arrived." She paused looking like she wanted to stop but she shook her head and continued. "I figured I should at least warn you so you're not caught off guard by it, Your Majesty."
"The Headmaster of Hogwarts?" Lisa questioned to which Millicent nodded.
"So not only do we have to deal with this Dark Lord, but someone else is trying to stop us from ending this conflict?" Alucard asked.
"Yes," Millicent said honestly. "I don't think it comes from a place of malice but because he fancies himself a savior of sorts, he always talks about second chances for this so-called dark lord and his followers. That's all fine if they wanted a second chance but with what they have done I find it very difficult to believe that any one of them would willingly change."
"I find it difficult as well. I've read up on some of the major conflicts, and the simple fact is, all of these followers are causing this havoc because they enjoy it." Dracula said with a shake of his head.
"And that's why we were brought in, so we can end these mass murderers." Alucard said with his arms crossed.
"If you can end this I'll be a very happy woman" Millicent said bluntly, "These idiotic magicals have made me nearly pull my hair out."
Lisa and Alucard both chuckled at what Bagnold said. "I'm sure my Husband will end this in a timely manner, correct dear." Lisa said, looking at her Husband.
"That's right." Dracula nodded before handing the folder to Alucard. "Have Greta look that over with her Hunters and begin gathering information, we are going to etch away at this Dark Lord's army piece by piece until he is the only one left, or someone gives up his location."
"Yes Father." Alucard nodded, holding the folder under his armpit.
For the first time in a while, Millicent Bagnold had a small smile on her face thing we're finally looking up and while yes magical blood was going to be running in the street but considering who these magicals were maybe it was a small price to pay for peace.
Two Weeks Later
The official Wizengamot hearing had begun with Dumbledore banging the gavel gently. "This is the beginning of the official Wizengamot Hearing of June 21st, 1976. We are here to discuss the ICW's approval of allowing a militant occupation of our Ministry." Many families were muttering their thoughts to each other as this news was still fresh on everyone's mind. Among them were those of the more grey families waiting to see exactly how either side might vote in this session.
Dracula stood up from his seat, with Lisa and Alucard watching him with tension as everyone looked at the King of Vampires with concern and suspicion. He walked to the center of the room and cleared his throat as he spoke up, "Esteemed members of the Wizengamot. I am deeply honored to be given the opportunity to speak with you all face to face. Unfortunately, my appearance today has been clouded by a flurry of speculation that the ICW has approved the militant occupation of your Ministry and the attack on pureblood families with rumored ties to this new Dark Lord. I want to address these rumors head on. Are we creating a military occupation to undermine your government? No we are not."
Everyone in the room murmured and Dracula could see some of them become relieved at the news so he smirked and revealed, "Because we have already done it."
This caused shocks in the entire room before Dracula continued before anyone could shout. "With all due respect, the Ministry of Magic has become a relic of a different time. We are now just under 30 years until the 21st century begins. And in all of that time, has your government changed or caught up with the times? I will answer that for you, no. You have become stagnant in your development, and you've allowed yourself to be chained by traditions that have done more damage for a majority of the populace than any actual good. Your government has been infiltrated by those who share dangerous values with a man whose main goal is to wipe out muggleborns whose only crime is having the capability to wield magic. That is why the ICW has approved of this occupation to take care of this problem, and to ensure that no more Dark Lords are created because of YOUR carelessness and blind devotion to a system that no longer works."
"This is an outrage!" One of the Dark family Patriarchs spoke up in rage, "You can't do this, we have rights!"
Dracula looked towards the head of the family and asked, "And you decide it should be at the expense of another race and living creatures?"
"Of course," The same man said with a sneer. "We're better than those Mudbloods and creatures!" The last two things were said with a tone of superiority.
"And that is why your Dark Lord came to power. Because of bigotry and hatred for innocent civilians and creatures." Dracula said with a sneer before turning to the rest of the Wizengamot members. "I am here to help this country become better, by burning the weeds in this garden of magic. And it starts with you."
Alucard stood up and grabbed the Dark wizard and pulled him into the middle, much to the shock of everyone as he was forced to be knelt down in front of Dracula. The King pulled a vial of a clear liquid before pouring three drops into his mouth. Alucard shoved his mouth shut to stop him from spitting it out. After a moment, Dracula then asked, "What is your name?"
"Abraxas Lambert Malfoy" He said in a dull voice.
"Are you in league with the Dark Lord?" Dracula asked.
"Yes."
"How do you tell when there are other members of this man's organization?"
"We have the Dark Mark on our arms." He replied before Alucard grabbed Abraxas' arm and pulled the sleeve back to reveal a living tattoo of a skull with a snake coming out of its mouth.
"How did you earn the Dark Mark?" Dracula asked.
"I murdered a young mudblood's family in front of her before raping her and breaking her mind to make her understand she was a filthy piece of mud. I murdered her in front of the Dark Lord to prove my loyalty to him." Abraxas revealed much to the shock of everyone in the room except for the hidden members of Voldemort's army.
Dracula snarled and reached into his suit before asking, "Do you regret it?"
Abraxas looked up at him and answered, "No... The Dark Lord will rule the world, and only the purest of wizards will thrive!"
Dracula looked at everyone in the room, including Dumbledore. "There you have it." Before pulling a Smith and Wesson Revolver out and firing a single bullet into the Death Eater's forehead, making everyone scream at the sight of blood, brain matter, and skull fractures leaking out of his head.
"This is the filth we are fighting" Dracula said, "They are merciless, and thus we should be just as merciless as them, for there is no place in this world for Barbarians, like him." He said the last two words while looking at the corpse of Abraxas with a sneer.
Everyone looked at Dracula horrified and even Dumbledore was stumped at the merciless execution. Dracula took a breath before holstering his revolver. "Now, with that out of the way, these are the new rules you will abide by. If you have information on any families that have ties to this Dark Lord, you will come to my son and present your evidence. I will not allow people to be executed just from simple talk and hearsays. This is not the Salem Witch Trials, this is war, and there are rules that you all will abide by. And let me be clear, this is not a Democracy. We are going out of our way to solve this problem for you. So I expect you all to be grateful when this is all over."
Not one person moved after the execution of Abraxas Malfoy, not one single person, not his allies, not his son, no one. They were all stuck to their seats, scared stiff. Not a single person could think straight, no one except one, the only thing going through Albus Dumbledore's head was one though 'This certainly complicates things.'
"I want to make one more thing clear!" Dracula spoke up, "If you believe as I believe that this country is in need of change, and if you wish to help us, we will graciously accept it. Now, this meeting is adjourned, and a new age has begun. The question remains, are you with us, or against us?" Dracula asked everyone before walking away from the room with Alucard and Lisa next to him.
Alucard looked at his father as he said off handed "I'm rather surprised you have a model 29 instead of your usual 1911."
Dracula chuckled low as he removed the spent 44. casing and loaded a fresh one into the cylinder before closing it. "Don't get me wrong, son, the colt I own is a fine handgun and has served me well but this 29. is a more refined handgun, it has an elegance that is only matched by someone such as I from a more civilized age. Besides, I believe it sent the right message."
"Have you been keeping your lever action clean, darling?" Lisa asked with a giggle.
"Of course, dear." Dracula replied as they walked out of the hearing room. However, before they could reach the elevator door, a voice stopped them in their tracks. "I beg your pardon! I wished to speak with you." The family turned around to see a man with short brown hair, glasses, and a black suit with a brown coat.
Adrian looked at the man as he asked, "And you might be, sir?"
"Apologies, I'm Edgar Bones. I wanted to say, I thought your... Speech was inspiring." Edgar said.
"You may be the only one to put it that way." Dracula said.
"Possibly, but I wanted to let you know, I believe in your occupation. The Bones Family has always had a strong sense of justice, and it's like you said, it's become very stagnant. Many of these families have... Controlled the flow of the Ministry due to the amount of money, pushing for more restrictive laws on the muggleborns, and half-bloods." Edgar explained, a frown present on his face from the state of the government.
Lisa smiled, "Well it's good to see those who have clearly more progressive values than others here within the magical section of the nation whose empire was once so great the sun said to have never set."
Edgar chuckled a little with a small smile playing on his lips. "Indeed, yet sadly our once great empire has long had the sun set on it, double so for the once great magical Britain."
"Nothing ever lasts forever." Dracula said. "But I intend for things to change."
Edgar nodded, "I know we only met, but I believe you. Moreso than I believe Albus. He's always spoken about the Greater Good, almost like it's a religion. It's rather disturbing, I must say."
"How much of a problem is Dumbledore going to be?" Alucard asked.
"Considering you shot the Malfoy Patriarch in front of his son and Dumbledore, he will do everything in his power to try and overwrite the ICW's approval of this. He will throw every book at you, he'll say the ICW has gone dark, or he'll look at you like a disappointed grandfather." Edgar explained.
Dracula chuckles abit as he shakes his head "if I have to, I could always go to the lands' Sovereign, they are my family after all."
Edgars eyes widened slightly. "Her highness is related to you?"
Dracula nodded, "A distant line of the family but still family."
"That's incredible! It would most certainly be helpful to you to have the Queen backing you up." Edgar said.
"We will call her, and I believe she will agree with us and should someone attempt to stop us, well they would have to be suicidal to go against her Majesty." Lisa said with a small giggle. Clearly she wanted to see everyone's expression to the fact that they are related to Queen Elizabeth II.
Edgar nodded, "Well you won't have that issue with the Bones family for we have been loyal to the Crown since the days of Pendragon so we shall never break our oath that we have made towards her highness."
Alucard smiled, "Well then, do you know of anyone else that could potentially be able to help us?"
Edgar hummed, "There is the Greengrass family, they have always been more on the neutral side of conflicts. However, they have never been convinced by Dumbledore's leadership. There is a potential they may be open to speaking with you."
Dracula filed that family name for later as he nodded, "Thank you, Mr. Bones."
Edgar nodded, "Our family has always believed in doing the right thing. My wife is an Auror, with the hope of becoming a Minister so that she could enact changes."
"She sounds like a wonderful and brave woman." Lisa said with a smile.
Edgar simply nodded before he excuses himself all while the family continues to leave for the main lobby which now was full of soldiers from the combined coalition forces present as an American saluted Adrain. "Sir! The Ministry is secured! The rest of the coalition is waiting for further tasking. As well as the rangers and SAS are getting a little antsy for targets."
"Excellent. We will begin our operations soon, we simply need targets and information." Alucard said to which the soldier nodded.
"Excuse me! Excuse me!" A woman with puffy blonde hair and half crescent glasses tried to call out to Dracula and his family, but was being held back by a soldier. "Rita Skeeter if the Daily Prophet! I just wanted to ask some questions!"
Dracula ordered the soldier to let her go, so she walked over to him. "Thank you for this opportunity, I wanted to possibly get an exclusive about your plans for the Ministry."
Dracula cleared his throat, "I cannot say much, Miss Skeeter, but I will make things clear. Our main objective is to stop this dark wizard from controlling England. What he intends is to wipe all muggleborns and half-bloods from the world, leaving only these Purebloods. The reason we are stopping this is because no one has the right to say who is worthy of living or dying based solely on their birth parents."
Rita wrote it all down before asking, "And what makes what you're doing any different?"
Dracula frowned, "Because we do it based on one's actions and if they were coerced or happy to kill and rape these innocent people."
"And what are your thoughts to those who attempt to stop you based solely on you being a vampire?"
"They can attack my character all they wish, but the moment they go after my son or wife, I will not hesitate to go after them." Dracula said with his eyes glowing.
Adrian soon added, "Also to add this is an internationally sanctioned anti-terrorist operation and occupation to fully stamp out all means for such events to continue, so any who attempt to interfere will be seen as enemy collaborators and combatants who shall be dealt with accordingly."
Rita wrote it all down before commenting, "Then it would be in everyone's best interest to stay out of you and your army's way."
Adrian soon made it clear for everyone, "We are a coalition force created by the international community for one purpose and one purpose only. To defend the freedom loving people everywhere from those of evil, so to put it simply miss we are liberators not conquers."
"Well then you have my vote, keep feeding me information like this, then I'm sure we can go even further." Rita said with a smirk towards Alucard who coughed slightly and pulled at his collar.
"I thank you miss, however I am happily married." Alucard said.
Rita snapped her fingers, "The good ones are always taken." Before starting to walk away.
Adrian sighed before he looked at his father, "If you'll excuse me, I have a job to do with the soldiers in the field."
Lisa nodded, "Please do be careful, I don't want to worry that you might go missing and we worry about you."
Adrian chuckled slightly, "If the Communists in Vietnam couldn't break me, Mother, what makes you think some magical Nazi wannabes can?"
Dracula shrugged his shoulders gently, "Fair enough. Tell Greta we said hello and happy hunting."
Alucard nodded before walking away. Lisa looked towards her husband and flashed him a smile, revealing her fangs protruding from her lips. "I hear we have a new office to work in. What do you say we... Christen it?"
Dracula had a smirk of his own, "I believe that is an excellent idea."
Lisa giggled a bit, "Yes lets, mi amor." Her voice was sultry and elegant as she let out an accent which began to stir a fire deep within her husband.
Dracula released a growl, like a predator prepared to take his prey. He hauled his wife up over his shoulder, eliciting a yelp and laugh from her as he started walking towards their new office, he kicked his door open before closing it, and soon the whole room was filled moans, pants, and grunts as the new office was christened.
Out in the mountains of the highlands, a certain elite unit made up of only the best hand picked special forces operators and Draculas most trusted were currently outside of a werewolf's den which was now burning with a bright blaze.
The survivors were being brought to their knees as US Army Rangers from the magical side of the United states military had rifles loaded with silver bullets trained on their captives heads until the sound of a Huey gunship brought everyone's attention forward as it slowly landed, the door opening as a group disembarked from it.
The first person to step out was a man with dark skin in black armor, a Khopesh sword sheathed at his hip, small fangs protruding from his lips. Another was a woman in her 30's with brown hair braided and over her shoulder.
Finally, a woman with tanned skin, long brown hair and red eyes stepped out. A sword was attached to her hip as well as knives strapped to her chest and shoulders. "Well well well, what have we got here? Voldemort's lap dogs? Well it's quite nice to meet you, I'm Greta. And here's how this is going to go, you're going to give me the information I need, and I will let you live. Failure to do so, and I will kill all of you one by one." Greta said with a smirk on her face.
One of the death eater werewolves growled as he spat towards them. "Fuck ya! Yee fuckin' cunts!" He spoke with a heavy highland accent as the man looked towards Greta whose smirk now was a full blown fang filled grin as a soldier walked up towards her holding a bag which was rather oddly shaped.
Greta reached inside of the bag to pull out a wooden bat with silver nails sticking out of the wood. She looked at the werewolves and spoke up, "Now, I save this little guy for special occasions. Like say... Rogue werewolves such as yourself. He's never failed me before in getting pups like you to talk. So I'll give you all one chance to do the right thing. Tell me what you know about your master and the locations of your compatriots, and we'll let you live. Failure to do so, and you will wish you had a silver bullet through your heart."
The group stayed silent before another more brave rogue wolf spoke up, this one clearly from London Town. "Like you scare us! Our alpha and our lord will kill you and let us use you as our breeding bitch!" This only caused Greta to slowly and lazily gaze upon the rogue wolf and just chuckle, then a little laugh, until finally Greta had broken down into a mad cackling laugh.
This made the werewolves scared due to her laughter. Greta laughed more while the rest of the squad watched with either mild amusement or with no expression whatsoever.
Once Greta stopped laughing, she had to take a deep breath. "Oh that's so cute. So your master will kill me and you'll just use my dear body to breed nothing? No wonder no one respects you! You're all just dumb animals. Besides, I doubt you'd be able to break me, not with what you have." She then suddenly swung low to one of the werewolves directly in their private area, making him howl in absolute agony from the combined pain of the nails in his junk, and the burning from the silver.
The rest of the pack watched with widened eyes and there was a faint smell of urine in the mixture of burning wood and smoke. Greta raised a boot against the werewolves shoulder before ripping her bat off. The werewolf cried in agony as his head was on the mud, clutching his bloody and burning privates.
Greta took a deep inhale of the hair and sighed as she said, "I love the sound and smell of fear!"
A female rogue looked at Greta as she shouted "You can't do that! We have rights!"
The dark skinned man chuckled slightly, "You did have rights yes, but not anymore since all of you are now seen as enemy combatants of a terrorist organization and not a formal army."
The rogue who was in pain sat back up on his knees as he cried out, "What… What the fuck does that even mean!?"
The man, Isaac, pulled out his Khopesh before pressing it against the female rogue's neck. "It means, you expired your rights when you joined your Dark Lord. The rules of engagement have changed. Now, if you wish to live, you will tell us where your master is and who works for him."
She was silent as the now injured rogue coughs a bit as he glared at Greta. "I'm not telling… a fuckin'... thing… ya fuckin'... cunt!"
"Then perhaps your friends will have a loose tongue after this." Greta said with a sinister smile as she raised her bat before impaling the rogue on his head, piercing his brain.
The females present screamed as one of the males attempted to lunge at Greta as they all shouted, "YOU BITCH!" "CUNT!" "I'LL RIP YA FUCKIN' THROAT OUT, YE WHORE!"
The other woman pulled her shotgun and pulled the trigger, pelting the male attempting to lunge at Greta with silver pellets which blew his brains out.
Greta ripped her bat out of the carcass and towards the last of the werewolves with a glare. "Any of you mutts attempt that shit, I will shut it and you down. Now, want to try that again? Where is Voldemort and his cronies?"
The females were crying as clearly Greta had instilled fear into them, yet for the few remaining males they kept silent as they glared at Greta and those present as the woman racked the pump on her Remington 870 combat shotgun.
Greta then looked at the females before deciding, "I think it's time to play a little game. Who's More Important!" Greta proclaimed.
To the werewolves, it didn't mean anything, however, to the Hunters. It was the ultimate breaker. Isaac grabbed one of the female werewolves, eliciting cries from everyone as Isaac dragged one of them to the center in front of Greta.
Isaac forced the female down on her knees in front of the rest so they could see each other. "Tell me, who's the sad puppy that decided this one was worth sticking their dick in?" Greta asked, looking at the werewolves before.
The female tried to not look but that's what always gives it away, because those who down all they can not to look at the ones they love is the give, looking to the ground is a common thing to do yet those who look left or right even moving their heads slightly shows they're doing more to not look at the ones they love.
And the winner is none other than some young rogue well in their twenties with slight middle eastern features who was fighting tears.
Greta looked towards Isaac and nodded. He nodded back before going behind the werewolf and forced his head up. "Look at your love. Lie to her. I want you to lie and tell her that everything is going to be ok. That you will live." Isaac said in a dark tone.
Greta put the bat on the female's shoulder, the silver nails hovering near her face. "As you look at each other, one of you is going to tell me what I want to know. If none of you comply, then the bitch dies and you will have no one to blame but yourself because you decided that your loyalty to the Dark Wanker was more important than your love for each other. I'm going to count to 10, and I better see your furry lips moving before that time is up!"
Both looked at each other as the female's tears began to flow as her lover stayed silent all while the countdown began and once it was at one, the woman broke first. "WALES! Our alpha went to Wales to try and get the packs there to join the cause… our alpha is in Wales… Please… Please spare me and my baby please." She was now crying, breaking down fully while the male seemed to look betrayed.
"You better not be lying to us!" Greta said, leaning the nails closer to her face.
"I'm not lying! Please! We have a baby!" The female cried out, trying to lean her face away from the silver nails.
Greta removed the bat away from her face and knelt down close to her and patted her head. "Good girl." She kissed the werewolf's cheek, making her whimper and cry more. She stood up and ordered, "Alright fellas! Take this useless pack to the ICW dungeons and send word to the Son about Wales." The soldiers and Hunters began to grab each prisoner, put a bag over their heads and loaded them into a helicopter while Greta and her hunters got back into the gunship.
As their helicopter took to the air, Greta was already on the radio via her headset with Operations Command which Adrian was already talking to them from. "Good work on intel which has been confirmed by the fact we got a call from a small pub in Rhossili. Seems the packs of Wales are allies of my father and decided to report it to us."
"Good. Shall I make my way there?" Greta asked, putting her bat back into the bag.
Adrian was quick to answer, "Yes. If Greyback is there then that is a HVT with a Kilo Charlie Order on them but also allows us to remove a major player from the field."
"Copy that." Greta acknowledged as the gunship flew off to Wales, where a helipad was waiting for them. Landing at the local military base, a pair of jeeps was prepared for them while the Base Commander looked at them with clear irritation. "Alright, who are you people and why is it I'm getting a call from the MOD about some anti-terror operation happening in Wales."
Issac looked at the Base Commander and simply said. "I'm sorry to say, but that information is classified."
The commander just huffs and mumbled about something about the CIA, MI6 or some things about spies and their covert ops.
Greta and the woman, Helen Price, looked at each other with a roll of their eyes before walking towards the jeeps with purpose.
Issac joined as well and he chuckled slightly, "To think we are here instead of West Germany trying to find Soviet spies."
Helen laughed a little. "Oh yes, be they magical or Non, those soviets are always trying to pull something, aye?" She looked over at Greta in the passenger seat as they drove out of the base down the road towards their destination.
"Well these bastards are moving faster than the soviets." Greta said. "Therefore, we're here while they're all cozy behind their little Berlin Wall."
Helen snorted, "Right to, mate, right to." As they drove into town where the local police were seen getting people away from the area around the pub as quietly as possible, "So what's our ROE Here?"
"There's civilians and friendlies in there. Do not engage until the target flees or attacks, and watch your fire." Greta ordered as the jeep parked in front of the pub and they climbed out of the vehicle.
The pub was nothing special, outside was a couple of werewolves who stood up a little straighter. "You lot with the Tepes?" One of the werewolves asked.
"That's us, you're loyal to Lord Dracula?" Greta asked.
The two werewolves pulled their shirts, showing they had a symbol of a crescent moon on their chest. An unofficial symbol for the werewolves that were under Dracula's clan. Greta nodded and asked, "Have you located Greyback?"
One raised a thumb and pointed it to the door. "Currently talking to the alpha of our pack, but he's stalling 'till you got here cause last he checked we answer to Tepes, not some bastard's mutt." He growled out.
Greta looked at Isaac and pointed to the side, signalling him to infiltrate from a side window. Isaac unsheathed his sword before walking to the side of the building. Greta turned to Helen and pointed to the top, signalling her to infiltrate from the room.
She then looked towards the two werewolves, "One of you goes with the other. I've got the entrance." The two nodded and split up, one going to Isaac and the other to Helen. Greta grabbed her CAR15 with silver bullets, and a magazine attachment, allowing for quicker reload.
Now one might wonder why a woman such as Greta would have such a weapon? The answer is simple as the sun rises and the moon falls. She served alongside her husband in Vietnam where she picked up her Colt CAR 15 and with it learned more than one lesson in the ever evolving landscape of war. If your rifle was too long you died, which was why she preferred the CAR15.
If you couldn't reach your magazine fast enough you died, which was why she had five fifty cord taped at the bottom of her magazines so she could get them faster out of her magazine pouches.
Yet one thing was alway a constant in all theaters of war. Urban fighting was worse than jungle or forest fighting which was why she made sure all her angles were covered cause last time she didn't have her angles covered she got three communist bullets shot into her lower back and left ass cheek during the Tet Offensive.
And now, it was used for hunting these werewolves and dark wizards. Holding her weapon in one hand, and a handle on the door knob in the other, she took a deep breath before charging in and aimed quickly before her eyes were set on Fenrir Greyback.
Fenrir was already on his feet ready for a fight along with two others if not for the sound of weapons being cocked as the allied Alpha had a Webley revolver aimed at Fenrir's head with the hammer cocked back. "Colonel. Been a minute hadn't it when was the last time we saw each other? Indo china or was it Cambodia?" Asked the Alpha with a calm tone as if he and his people didn't have the most dangerous, by Magical Britain standards mind you, werewolves at gunpoint.
Isaac bursted through a window with his sword pressed against Fenrir's throat. Helen came down from upstairs, aiming her shotgun. The werewolves at their sides kept their weapons trained on Fenrir's lackies.
Greta walked over to the Alpha with a smirk. "Cambodia, how's that bullet in your ass?" She asked, to which he laughed.
"How's yours, fucking skank?" Alpha asked.
Greta laughed as she pulled out some silver handcuffs and put them on Fenrir's wrists. He growled as the handcuffs hissed and smoke rose from his skin. "Stings, doesn't it? And trust me, we could do a whole lot worse if you make this difficult." Greta said with a smirk.
The alpha uncocked his revolver before putting it back within his shoulder holster as he looks at Greta. "But honestly last time I saw you, you were on your way to a Viet Cong POW camp. that was back in… I wanna say 69."
"Yeah, shame they didn't know who they were dealing with." Greta said, pushing Fenrir forward, while Isaac and Helen put the other lackeys in handcuffs.
The man chuckled a bit as he followed them outside where the rest of the town was present as a good sized Coalition Force kept everyone back while trucks came in. "Honestly, I thought you'd retire by now, settle down with kids and a white picket fence. You know the whole 'perfect nuclear family' propaganda they fed us after the 2nd World War."
"Oh fucking please, I'll be doing this forever. Maybe once the government starts inventing Lazer guns, that's when I'll decide to retire." Greta chuckled as she pushed Fenrir into the back of the truck and a bag was put over his head. "He moves a muscle, put a bullet in his balls." Greta ordered.
The soldiers nodded as the trucks drove off while the alpha looked around before he shouted. "ALRIGHT, YA GOBS MOVE ON THEN! Like ya never seen a covert military operation before! Go on off with ya ye vultures!" With that the crowds slowly start to thin out as the man looks at Greta and her people. "Well then Colonel might if I treat you and your lot to a nice proper pint? For old times sake."
"Let's get this fuck put through processing, then we'll get a pint." Greta said, punching his shoulder.
Alpha bowed his head, "Yes ma'am."
Greta laughed abit "No bowing to me you crazy fucker. We're the same rank."
The alpha laughed a little. "Close Colonel, I was a major and we were two separate branches in two separate organizations" He had a cheeky grin as Greta laughed with a wave of her hand showing, she didn't care as she and her people loaded up and left back towards the local base.
It did not take long for Fenrir to break, only three days before he revealed who else was working for Voldemort. The Giants, Trolls, and even Dementors, along with several prevalent Dark Families including the Notts, Lestrange, Goyle, and Crabbe.
This was all within the first week of the Occupation, and many were shocked at several things, the efficiency, the brutality, and the use of Muggle military as well as werewolves.
Of course, that didnt mean there weren't any hiccups along the way such as Adrian was currently sitting in the Command Center which looked akin to the Command Center for the allies during World War 2.
A map of magical Britain with markers showing Coalition Forces and others marking death eaters, lines showing 'areas of control' which were shrinking by the day.
Of course, as Adrian was enjoying his cup of coffee, an aide, a French Captain, came running in and saluted Adrian. "I AM SORRY TO DISTURB YOU, MON GENERAL! But there is an urgent message from Mon Capitan Lenore!" Lenore was a part of the more progressive British side of their coalition forces as well as those of the military who patrolled the countryside and even went on raids. From the duty rosters, her raid today was for some low level death eater store house so for her to be facing trouble was something out of the ordinary.
Adrian's coffee nearly spilled due to the French Captain. He sighed and placed it down on the table and spoke, "At ease, Captain. What is the message?"
The Frenchman soon stood at ease as he said, "Capitan Lenore and her platoon has been engaged by a large force of death eaters and a third party and is pinned down, she has sustained casualties and is requesting air support."
Adrian became worried so he asked, "Where is she? And who is this third party?"
The Frenchman answered. "In the magical portion of Denny right near the border of Scotland and as for the third party, they can not tell due to hunkering down and fighting hostile forces in all directions, the Captain's words not mine, sir."
"Scramble our fighters, send whatever reinforcements you can." Adrian ordered. The French Captain saluted before running out of the room to echo his orders.
As Command began to get support for Lenore, said woman was currently crouched down in a ditch with a Sterling submachine gun she was currently reloading before she curses and yelled out over the rifle fire from their SLRs, the machine gun fire from their FN MAGs and Brens. Which were currently peppering both the Death Eater storehouse which turned out to be a safe house and the third party who was firing non lethal spells which was right nice of the lot vs the Death Eaters who were hurling all manner of dark magic like it was going out of style.
"Sergeant! Where the ruddy hell is our air support!?" She yelled towards their radio operator who was currently behind the hardcover of a rather solid brick wall.
"Just received word! Reinforcements will arrive in 30 minutes!" The Sergeant replied before rising up to shoot the Death Eaters.
Lenore growled as she brought up her Sterling and sent 9mm towards the house that was getting the most fire as their non-lethal guests got only suppressing fire. "We don't have thirty bloody minutes, Sergeant! We already have ten wounded and fifteen dead!" She came down behind cover as she reloaded her submachine gun once more. "Either we make a push for that house or we wait to die!"
"I did the best I could, Ma'am!" The Sergeant replied as he kept firing on the house, hoping he'd get some Death Eaters.
One of Lenore's soldiers ran up next to her and aimed a bazooka at the house, "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" He shouted before pulling the trigger, firing a rocket into one of the bedroom windows, blowing a good piece of the house.
The M72 LAWS rocket impacted the wall of the house and caused a rather nice fireball and flash as wood and plaster filled the area around the house where the rocket impacted.
Lenore, seeing that this caused the Death Eaters to cease their spell casting, all but smiled as she shouted. "FIX BAYONETS LADS!" With swift motion many of the riflemen began affixing bayonets to their SLRs while Lenore stood up after loading a fresh mag into Sterling as she shouted. "CHARGE!" As she brings her arm down and rushes forward to the house with more than a few eager bayonet wielding British soldiers following behind her.
Lenore led the charge, going through the main doors and firing at any Death Eaters in sight. They attempted to cast the protection charm, but one thing they did not account for, was the fact that bullets traveled at such a high velocity, that it pierced through their charm. Once the first floor was cleared, Lenore barked orders, "Up into the second floor! Kill every wanker that tosses fireworks at you!"
Soon more gunfire followed as Lenore's forces either impaled, shot, impaled then shot, or out right bashed Death Eaters with their SLRs before finally the rest seemed to have had their spirits broken and began to surrender out of fear of being killed before the thumping of rotor blades showed that their backup had arrived only for the all too familiar cracks to fill the area as their third party left.
Lenore, looking out at where her forces were shooting before, just clicked her tongue as she hissed out. "Cowardly wankers."
Back with Adrian, he was going over the report that Lenore had done, speaking of the mysterious third party that retreated once the reinforcements arrived.
"This third party could be a problem if left alone." Adrian said. In the room with him were Carmilla and Dracula.
"This could be the Secret Society the British Representative spoke about." Dracula said.
"Possibly, especially if whoever is running it is trying to undo everything you've been working towards." Carmilla added.
Adrian nodded all while looking at another report. "So far Morana has done alot to keep Striga from getting involved and having her focus on her duties as a 'respectable Soviet officer' To try and keep this Cold War from going hot."
Carmilla snorted at that. "Which, I'll be honest is a right shock to me, she was all for war with America after the last big dust up. Guess the advent of nuclear weapons has caused her to finally well… mature as it were."
"Indeed. And we are all proud of her." Dracula said. "However, that is not our concern right now. It's this third party that is either fighting alongside Voldemort, or are attempting to push their own agenda."
"I will keep my ears low to the ground. Though I have an idea for how to get information without any of us being there." Carmilla said, tapping her chin to which the two of them looked towards her. "I've discovered that the reporter, Rita Skeeter, is an unregistered Animagus, and turns into a beetle."
The cogs in the father and son began to turn. "She can be essentially invisible to the average witch or wizard. And she can give us names for those who are against us." Adrian said.
"Bring her in, I believe we can work out a deal." Dracula ordered.
Carmila simply smirked before she pulled out a Walther PPK and pointed it at a plant, peace lilies, before she said. "No need for that. She's already here."
They turned towards the plant and Dracula spoke up, "Come out, Miss Skeeter, and I will not have you arrested."
A minute went by before a beetle flew off of a leaf and transformed into her human self. She raised her hands, "Look, I'm sorry. I won't do it again."
Dracula put a hand on Carmilla's gun, lowering it down as he spoke, "On the contrary, we will be in need of you and your infiltration skills."
Rita slowly lowered her hands. "You uh… You do?"
"As you've no doubt heard, a third party has showed itself. I have a simple job for you, starting with this Secret Society that we learned about from the Representative of Britain." Dracula explained.
Rita swallowed the lump in her throat as she asked, "And you won't report me if I do this?"
"No. In face, we'll be able to compensate you for each piece of information you bring us." Adrian offered.
Rita stood up straighter as she asked, "Where do I start? Surely you have some sort of suspect for me to start with?"
"But of course." Dracula said. "Albus Dumbledore is at the top of the list along with more than a few of my critics, but I need you to confirm these suspicions, and as my son has already said we will heavily reward you."
Rita thought about it before looking at them and nodding, "Ok. I'll do it."
"Excellent." Dracula said with a smile. Though no one could tell if it was genuine, or if it was something a bit more malicious. As if he finally had another piece of the puzzle in place.
Adrian looked at Rita before he motioned with his hand. "You have your assignment, leave us."
Rita bowed her head slightly before leaving the office as fast as she could, allowing those present to return to the topics they were discussing before.
"Now, if all goes well, then we will know all who threaten our occupation." Dracula said, crossing his arms.
Adrian couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Father, you make it sound so evil. This is a peacekeeping operation." His tone was jovial towards his father.
"Of course, son. However, peace cannot simply be achieved without preparing for a fight." Dracula reminded him.
His son sighed, "Of course father, of course. Now if you'll excuse me." Standing up, he left the office heading towards the Command Center. Dracula and Carmilla watched him walk away before looking at each other. "Any news to report?" Dracula asked.
Carmilla shook her head and replied. "None as of yet, my Lord, but rest assured that my spies shall report anything that need be brought to your attention. However, our cover for the operations is holding as the people of England and the world see our actions as Nato Anti-Terror Units going after suspected IRA and Middle Eastern terrorists safe houses or even store houses which is a much more believable story over a simple 'gas main explosion'." She scoffed at the last bit with another shake of her head.
"The same excuse will not be accepted for long. However, during the midst of this Cold War, secrecy of this measure is of the utmost importance." Dracula said.
"Of course, my Lord. Oh, I have received a message from Her Majesty, she's invited you and your family for tea." Carmilla announced.
"Hmm, I'm not sure if my son will be able to come, but I know Lisa would love to come. Has she said when?" Dracula asked.
Carmilla shook her head. "Only for you to call and inform the palace of your earliest convenience."
"Very well. I will inform the palace soon. If my son cannot join, he will hold the meetings in my place. Be sure to assist in whatever is needed." Dracula ordered to which she bowed her head with her hand over her heart.
A week later
Over at Buckingham Palace, a limo pulled up to the front door, where a butler opened the door for Dracula and Lisa. "Welcome to Buckingham Palace, Mr. and Mrs. Tepes. Her Majesty is expecting you." A butler said with his head bowed. Dracula and Lisa wore their royal outfits with jewelry and pearls attached. Dracula wore a cape draped over his shoulder with big fur lining on the top.
The one thing that was a constant with his royal attire was the fact it was a royal service uniform that royalty would only wear during war time or military ceremonies. His medals proudly on display on his chest with his black and red service cap atop his head which being from eastern Europe was rather large but not as large as those of the Soviet Union, China, or North Korea.
The couple was led by the butler into the palace while the soldiers stood at attention. The butler led the couple into the study area, where an aging Queen Elizabeth II was sitting at a chair. Elizabeth smiled as she waved the butler off and with a slight bow he closed the door as Dracula took off his cap and tucked it under his left arm. "No matter how many times we meet it still amazes me how well you two look. I still remember when you would read me stories during the war, Lisa, my dear cousin." The Queen spoke fondly towards the Queen of Vampires.
Lisa chuckled a little as she sat down at the table prepared for them. "Indeed, I remember you and your sister would always come to me for comfort during the Blitz while my husband and your father would be off preparing plans to fight the Axis and prevent the invasion of Britain."
Dracula sat down with Lisa and smiled at his descendant. "And how are you doing, Your Majesty?"
Elizabeth sighed slightly. "Better as of late with how the situation with our magical subjects is being handled, if you had not gotten involved I would have claimed they broke the treaty made long ago and ordered the army to be sent in and passive them all. Yet it seems our allies of Magical NATO did the job for me."
"The situation would've become worse and the secrecy would've been broken." Lisa said.
"And that is why we are here. We are cleaning up the Ministry's mess." Dracula responded.
The Queen nodded, "I do agree, however we do not take kindly to such..." She took a moment to find the right words before settling on what it was. ''Radical anti-monarchist movements, we are already dealing with the issues in Northern Ireland; we do not wish to have another terror movement within the realm."
Dracula and Lisa nodded in understanding. "Rest assured, Elizabeth, we will handle this situation." Lisa said, grabbing her hand gently.
Elizabeth looked back at her with a grateful smile while placing her hand over hers. "Thank you, Lisa. Now, how is that boy of yours?"
Lisa sighed sadly. "Still the ever dutiful soldier, however he and his wife have changed a great deal since returning from Vietnam."
The Queen nodded in understanding before asking with her own hint of concern. "Has he and his wife shown the same violent signs as others who went into that jungle?"
"That jungle and area touched many, dear cousin." Dracula said, "Even before the war in Vietnam, World War II with the Japanese in the Pacific was just as brutal if not more than the Eastern front, but for Adrian..." Dracula sighed as his eyes held sadness. "He still has night terrors of that time, him and his wife. Truthfully, it is only their sheer will and love for family that they don't do something outrageous." Dracula said the last word as if it was a curse. Oh how he hated what that jungle and war did to his boy, but he hated the French more for going back on their word to the Vietnamese people.
"It is... Relieving that they are handling it well. I must confess, I am ashamed of how the rest of the world is handling the treatment of their veterans." Elizabeth said with a sad sigh.
Lisa gripped her cup, nearly making it crack. Once she learned about how America treated the return of their veterans, she nearly wanted to scream at the entire world. Who were these... Insects that spat on the soldiers and called them Baby Killers? These thoughts would never have reached Lisa when she was still human. However, becoming a vampire gave her... A slightly more predatory view on several things. Especially on the ignorant public that never truly knew what they were shouting at, or understanding what those soldiers had to go through.
Dracula could only give a slight nod before he gazed towards the window of the palace which gave a view of London. "Indeed it does sadden us so, yet with the conflicts of the past lessons are learned and adapted towards the next such as what is happening here within your realm."
The Queen nodded as Dracula continued. "Which is why I can assure you that this conflict which has come to your shores shall be handled with care and quickness that only those for whom have studied and lived through war can do."
The Queen smiled and nodded, "I believe you, Lord Dracula. I know you will end this conflict."
Lisa placed her hand on her husband's before speaking, "We will change the Ministry, to ensure something like this will never happen again."
The Queen nodded before her face grew serious. "Agreed, they have broken the treaty but by my graces and mercy do they not lose their magic nor their lives."
Dracula looked back at her and gripped Lisa's hand gently. "They never took the oath, only the official Minister can take that oath. However, they have indeed broken the treaty. Hence, we have to clean up the Ministry's mess."
The queen just accepted it as she looked out at the London landscape already knowing that the fighting that is happening in her nation's countryside of either Wales or Scotland would be nothing but blood, death, and war just as the many wars, revolts, rebellions, and revolutions of her nation's past.
The next few years were filled with blood, death, and chaos. Dracula's forces were ruthless in their pursuit of Voldemort's forces, those that surrendered were treated with some dignity, but those that didn't surrender, well their fate was better left unsaid.
It wasn't until 1980, when the cracks in Voldemort's power began to show. Oh sure, he had lost many followers over the years, but he was still standing strong, but in early February of 1980, he began to change his tactics, he for some reason began to conserve power, not sending out people on raids he knew he could win, for all intents and purposes he seemed to lose all courage.
But in late 1980 Dracula received a very interesting visit to his main HQ, a young couple looking to protect their unborn son. The couple's names were James and Lily Potter.
Dracula was in his office, writing down some paperwork before a knock to his door pulled him away from the paper. "Enter."
The door opened to reveal a man with black hair and round-framed glasses and a woman with fiery red hair and green eyes. "Mr. Tepes, we need help." Lily said gently.
Dracula sat up straighter, intertwining his fingers together. "Please, come in. Sit."
"Thank you." Lily appreciated, as she and James took a seat.
"Now, what is it you need, Lord and Lady Potter?" Dracula asked.
"We're... Worried. Dumbledore has been talking about a prophecy, and we're worried about what it means for our baby." James explained.
Dracula raised an eyebrow, "A prophecy? Care to elaborate?"
"A prophecy involving our unborn son." Lily said, her hands going over her stomach.
"Either our son," James said as his right hand went to Lily's belly, "Or our friends and allies, Longbottom's son."
Dracula stared at the young couple before him, looking at their features and even listening to their heart rates not getting any sort of dishonesty from the two which leads him to ask, "What is it you wish from me? You are a part of the more liberal faction, some of my people have even seen you with Dumbledore and his faction which has as of late attempted to undermine a very legal international anti-terror operation."
He wouldn't mention more due to some backdoor dealings and even some favors being called to extend their occupation until a new governmental system was instilled as well as slowly but surely rebuilding Magical Britain from the ground up.
"Because we discovered something... In case of our death, he will place our son with my sister, Petunia." Lily revealed.
"She's a horrible woman, called Lily a freak at every opportunity because she's a witch. I can't even imagine what would happen to our son if he was put with that woman." James explained.
"Surely, you both have a will?" Dracula asked them, curiosity laced in his voice.
"We do." James acknowledged, "But we both worry that Dumbledore will ignore the will and place him with Petunia and her Husband, Vernon regardless of what our will states."
Lily looked troubled at the mere thought of her son near her shrew of a sister. Sure, at one point she would have loved for her son to know his Aunt, but those days were long gone now.
"I've noticed something about Dumbledore." Lily said, "He hasn't even noticed it about himself yet, but I have. He's begun to see us not as people, but as chess pieces to be moved around on a board. And I fear for my unborn son, Lord Dracula, that's why I asked James to come here today."
Dracula nodded in understanding. "I see. I understand now. He sees me as his opponent in an effort to control the Ministry. And he intends to use your unborn son as the greatest pawn to destroy Voldemort." Dracula surmised, just from that information alone. He looked back at the young couple as he pressed on. "Yet that does not answer my question of why you wish to come to me. Are you both wishing for political asylum? Possibly a means to flee the nation?"
Both Lily and James shook their heads. "No. We want to add you to the will to take care of our son if we die." Lily revealed which surprised Dracula.
Dracula was surprised, but then collected his thoughts as he asked. "If it is not too much to ask, why not my son? He is to be the administrator for the occupation and interim governor. Why come to me?"
"Because as much as we want to burden your son with this, we believe you are more capable of protecting our son." James explained.
Dracula slowly stroked his chin and neatly cut and trimmed hair upon his chin as he seemed to consider the words of these two human magicals before him before he finally nodded ever so slightly. "Very well, should anything happen to your family or even one of you then I and my wife as well as my allies shall look after your child and treat him as if he was ours."
The two of them breathed a sigh of relief as James pulled out a paper from his coat. After unfolding it, James spoke up. "I, James Potter, of sound and mind, here do by place Vlad Dracula Tepes as legal magical guardian of Harry James Potter, should either I or my wife, Lady Lily Potter, fall."
As James spoke, a quill came to life and wrote down everything in the paper. "I also leave the Potter mansion, vaults, and all subsequent earnings to Vlad Dracula Tepes, to give to Harry Potter when he reaches legal age." James added.
Once the quill had written down everything, the paper landed down onto the table and the family looked at Dracula. "You have my word, Harry will be taken care of. However, have faith and believe that you will survive this war."
James and Lily looked at each other, a spark of hope in their eyes. The King's words were rather comforting, it felt genuine. It helped that Dracula didn't have a sparkle in his eyes in the way Dumbledore did.
James and Lily both gave their thanks as both left leaving Dracula alone before Lisa came in as she asked, "Love, did that really just happen?" She asked honestly, trying to process that the Potter family, one of the oldest and most noble of magical Britain, just came and made such a deal with their own family.
"Yes. Yes, that did." Dracula responded, a little amused but also alarmed that they did it out of desperation.
Lisa was silent as she walked towards her husband slowly snaking her hands into his. "My love. I pray that they do not die in this idiotic civil war, like any mother before. I pray that the unborn child grows up happy to have his parents… yet should the worst come to pass." She was silent as she looked at the rolled up contract that was made with clearly conflicting feelings racing across her face.
He looked at the contract before looking at her face before reaching up to gently brush his fingers against her cheek. "Then we will raise that child as if it was our own. I pray that they survive as well, and if they would allow it, we may post some guards at their house."
Lisa thought it over and nodded, wanting to do everything she could to prevent the Potters from becoming part of the dead bodies that Voldemort had left in his wake.
1981
Halloween
Fate is very much a cruel mistress. This would be evident when two bodies were discovered in Godric's Hollow.
James and Lily went into hiding shortly after their meeting with Dracula. However, they refused to tell anyone the location of their hideout. But they were still found, and the destruction of their house was evidence enough that they were attacked by Voldemort.
Among those present was Adrian who was clearly enraged with the whole situation as he slammed his balled fist onto a nearby tree. "DAMN IT! If we had pushed harder for them to have protection they wouldn't be dead!" Greta walked over towards her husband and slowly started to rub his shoulders to try and calm him down.
Lenore being the most level headed of their group spoke up. "From what I understood, it was because they feared it would attract more attention towards their location, yet I fear there was more meddling behind the scenes that had something to do with it."
Several vampire soldiers came out of the destroyed house, carrying the bodies of Lily and James in white sheet tarps.
"Where's the child?" Adrian asked, a fearful look on his face.
"There's no child, sir. All we found was her in the kid's room." The soldier replied.
"You mean someone stole the child away!?" Lenore exclaimed.
"Sergeant, send out search parties! I want every single inch of England scoured!" Greta ordered.
"And find Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin! They were the closest to the Potters. I want them in the Ministry now!" Adrian added with a growl, his eyes beginning to bleed. His red scleras clashing with his yellow irises.
The soldier saluted with his palm downward showing he was from America, along with the stars and stripes flag on his uniform's shoulder before he turned and began shouting orders while Greta continued to try and calm her husband. "It's alright my love, they will find the child."
Adrian closed his eyes and took deep breaths. When he opened his eyes once more, they were back to normal. He sighed and looked towards her, "What would I do without you?"
Greta had a small smile as she brought her husband into a comforting hug. ''The same thing you did when the VC captured me back in '68. You would have gone on a rampage killing any and all just to get me back, I saw you at your worst that day, I saw you almost go so far you couldn't come back." She started softly petting his head. "But you didn't because I was there for you then as I will be here for you now. So I mean it when I say we will find that child."
Adrian looked into her hazel eyes and smiled before pressing his forehead against hers. They stayed like that for a few moments before leaning away. "Let's go." Adrian said before beginning to bark orders to start wrapping up the scene.
It would seem Fate may allow some change to happen, but some things... Were simply meant to happen. Yes, a cruel mistress indeed.
Over in Little Whinging, an elderly man with a great long beard and half-crescent glasses walked through the little neighborhood. He pulled out a little device and sucked away the lights from the nearby light post before pocketing the device.
A meow from a cat alerted the old man so he looked to the source and said with an amused smirk. "I should've known that you would be here, Professor McGonagall."
The cat jumped off the fence for which it was perched upon before transforming into an older woman who looked towards the older man as she asked in a lower tone of voice so as not to wake anyone. "Is it true Albus? Is what they are saying true?" Her scottish accent clearly shining through as the older man nodded towards her.
"I believe… The rumors are true. Lord Voldemort has been vanquished." Dumbledore spoke as the two walked towards a specific house.
"And the Potters?" She asked, not wanting to believe that the students that she loved having in her house were killed.
The old man sighed in sadness, "I'm afraid so, Professor."
"And the boy?"
"He is safe. Hagrid is bringing him."
"Do you think it wise to trust Hagrid with such a thing?" McGonagall asked, unsure if the Half-Giant was the right person to bring the young baby.
"Ah Professor, I would trust Hagrid with my life." Dumbledore replied.
"And what of Dracula and his government? The moment they catch wind of this-"
Before McGonagall could continue, a Motorcycle engine could be heard which stopped the two and they looked to the sky to see a motorcycle driving in the pitch black sky before landing down onto the road. Riding it was a large man with an even larger beard who pushed up a pair of riding goggles as he said, "Professor Dumbledore, sir. Professor McGonagall." He greeted the two as he climbed off the motorcycle.
Dumbledore had a kind smile as he spoke up. "Good evening, Hagrid. I trust there were no problems?"
"No sir. Little tike fell asleep over Birmingham." He motions towards the basket which held a sleeping child no older than one year.
Dumbledore smiled gratefully as he took the basket from Hagrid and began walking towards the house with McGonagall in tow. "Albus, are you certain you wish to leave the boy with these Muggles? I watched them all day today, and they are the worst sort of Muggles out there."
"They are the only family he has, Minerva. It is the only way he will be safe. Safe from fame, and from him." Dumbledore replied, referring to Dracula.
"And you think your idea of safety is by placing the boy with a woman that despises the Magical?" Dracula's voice caused the three of them to spin around to see the King of Vampires and Lisa standing on the sidewalk.
Dumbledore narrowed his eyes as Lisa spoke up. "That child has been entrusted to our family. So please allow him to be raised in an actual loving home instead of one that would likely kill him."
Albus' eyes twitched slightly as he spoke in his grandfatherly tone. "That surely is not something you truly believe considering that they are his blood relatives and as such would love him because of that true connection."
Lisa's hands balled up slightly as she tried to keep calm but within her was a fight of keeping her maternal instincts from coming out to grab the child quickly to keep him safe.
"Did you know Lily's sister despised her after she got accepted into Hogwarts? Do you honestly believe she would love the child of her sister?" Dracula asked.
Dumbledore stood his ground as he stated, "More than a dark creature such as yourself."
Lisa looked at the old man as she screamed in her mind, 'OH HELL NO HE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!' Yet she did not voice it as she retorted. "Blood relations or not, hate for one's own kin that runs that deep will be parted onto an innocent child such as him. So I'm going to be clear here. One way or another that baby is coming home with us for what his parents entrusted us to do should they have died as they did tonight."
"Entrusted? What're you talking about?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"Silence, Minerva." Dumbledore immediately said with his hand raised.
Dracula pulled out a paper from his coat pocket, and spoke, "Lily and James' will states that we have sole custody of Harry James Potter. And if you even so much as try to take him away, I will bring the full force of the law." He said, glaring at the old wizard.
Albus was silent as Minerva, now clearly upset, looked towards Lisa as she asked. "Is it true that you're taking in young Harry?"
Lisa nodded much to Dumbledore's clearly hissing protests to stay out of it. "Would you love the child?" McGonagall asked
Lisa smiled looking at the older Scottish woman as she said with no hint of deception. "With all my heart as a mother, I would make sure he knew nothing but love as I did with my first born."
"We can never replace his birth parents, but you can be damned sure he will know who they were to him. And what he means to us." Dracula said, calmly as he looked at McGonagall and Hagrid. "You have our word as parents."
"Your word means nothing, creatures of darkness." Dumbledore said with a glare as he pulled his wand out.
Dracula immediately stood in front of Lisa and glared at Dumbledore, his scleras bleeding into red.
"Albus!" McGonagall exclaimed, stepping back from him. "The war is over!"
"No, Professor. The war is not over until all of the darkness is purged from this world." Dumbledore replied.
Before she could say anything else the sound of safeties being clicked off sounded all around them as many men and women stepped out from the shadows and even bushes with weapons raised and aimed at them as Greta stepped out with her big iron leveled right at Dumbledore. "Now, now. We wouldn't want to do anything dumb now would we?" Slowly she cocked the hammer of her big iron back.
Minerva looked around and saw each flag on the shoulders of the soldiers and gulped slightly, "Albus, the war is over. Don't go and act like a bloody fool by starting another with the entire ICW."
"All we want is that child. The child deserves to be with a family that will actually love him." Lisa said, moving in front of Dracula.
Hagrid looked around, worried about a potential fight breaking out.
Dumbledore looked around, tightening the grip on the basket holding baby Harry. Greta glared at him, "Besides, I'd rather keep my descendant close to me."
This made Dumbledore, Minerva, and Hagrid look at her in shock. "What?" Minerva asked in surprise.
"That's right. My full name is Greta Potter. Ancestor to the Potter line. Now, give him to me, and we will forget this day ever happened. After all, we have a victory to celebrate." Greta said, looking directly into Dumbledore's eyes.
Dumbledore was still processing the information he never saw a soldier coming up and quickly taking the basket before moving back towards Dracula and Lisa who quickly took the child out of the basket and held him closer to her. Thankfully all of this never woke the baby as Dumbledore finally said, clearly still in shock. "You lie, the Potter line is not related to any dark creatures."
Which got Greta to laugh a little. "God, you're so ignorant. All your talks of having all the information, and you never bothered to take a look at our family tree." Greta said before pulling a paper out of her combat vest, and revealed a family tree with her name on it, with her son and daughter directly underneath hers. "My son was named Azoth Potter, and my daughter was Helena Potter. They lived wonderful lives outside of the Tepes line. Now, I want to get one thing straight with you, Albus. You will leave my descendant alone. You will leave us alone. We did your job for you. We got rid of a problem that you let fester for too long. We did what you didn't have the balls to do. Now, you have one chance to leave with your old senile ass intact."
She glared at him while keeping her revolver aimed at his head. Minerva placed a hand on his arm, "For Merlin's sake, Albus! It's over! Let it go!"
Albus just glared at Greta before he simply nodded and left with Minerva. The large man looked at the soldiers before looking at Dracula. He says in a clearly confused voice ''I'm just… going to… return this bike if that's alright?" Clearly uncomfortable with everything that happened quickly.
Greta holstered her revolver, which prompted the soldiers to ease up a little, but they were still on guard. Dracula looked at the Half-Giant and asked, "Where did you get the bike?"
Hagrid replied, "Borrowed it from Sirius Black. He was going to try and take little Harry, but I was under orders to take Harry here."
Lisa looked at him in slight worry, "Where is he now?"
"I don't know, all I know is that he said he was going to find Him." Hagrid responded.
Dracula turned to Greta, "Search for Black. I want to know where he is."
She nodded with a bloodthirsty smirk before letting out a series of whistles which caused rustling in the bushes showing that her hunters were now on the hunt before she walked over to Lisa to be closer to the baby to help protect it.
All while Hagrid asked, "Uh… So do I still take it back to him? Or are you wanting to get it back to him?" Dracula could tell the man meant well and clearly had a more 'innocent' mind set.
"You may take it back to him, Hagrid. You've done well." Dracula said in a gentle voice.
Lisa looked at Harry with sadness and love, noticing the lightning bolt scar etched onto his forehead. "You poor baby boy..." She whispered, gently brushing her thumb against his forehead.
The baby shuffled as it let out a clear whimper of distress. ''Ma-ma." Lisa couldn't hold her tears back as she brought the child close to her body and held him close as she whimpered out. "Oh Harry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
Dracula gently wrapped his arms around his wife. "Let's go, my love. Let's bring him home." He began to lead her away from the house and neighborhood and into an armored limousine with a military escort. Soon the child without a family would now have a larger family, one who would show him love, give him safety, truly raise him as he should be.
Unaware of the machinations fate had instored for young Harry James Potter, or as he would become known as Hadrian Tepes.
