This is a very, very special story I have been working on interally for years.
I hope you love it.
Grandma, Old Hag, Old Fart. Kanade had been dealing with nasty comments about her white hair since she first entered the Leaf. Her hair, thick and down to her mid back, was as white as fallen snow. Soft against her ebony skin, which made sense given her mother was from Land of Lightning.
Oh her Mother, Kanade's poor mother..
When she was four years old, Kanade's and her mother came to the Leaf, both very sick from a plague. Kanade's Mother, Kagome, passed mere hours after bringing her daughter to the Leaf. Leaving her daughter her supplies including dancing fans and a set of scrolls on how to dance. Her mother had apparently been a geisha dancer. Kanade, through a terrible fever, did not remember her mother at all. She couldn't even think of her face... she had been cremated, so there was nothing that she could do to get that back.
From her youth, Kanade stayed in an orphanage, one of the six in the Leaf. She happily entered the Ninja program, and soon found that she excelled as a Kunoichi. She easily proved to be the Top Student. Not just the top Kunoichi, the Top student flat out. She bested Sasuke and Shino without much issue. This was for a few reasons. First of, she was much, much taller and broader than her fellow classmates, and such so much stronger. Her chakra levels were also very high according to Iruka and the other Senseis, she guessed from whomever her father was since her mother was of civilian blood. Next she actually worked at being a Kunoichi. Unlike all of the other girls, obsesssed with Sasuke or whatever, she worked her ass off day in and out.
However, her best trait was the gifts of her mother, her scrolls and fans. It was easy to turn them into a taijutsu style, she worked hard every day to honor her mother's memory and sacrifice by creating a method of survival that allowed her to kick ass. Each and every day she trained, and it showed.
And she easily graduated, top of her class...
Everything seemed right... and that left her pleased.
At least, until the night she graduated. Kanade, loving moonlight, walked through the woods just in time to hear Mizuki's familar voice etched with loathing. "YOU ARE THE NINE TAILED FOX!"
Turning past a tree, she saw Naruto crying holding a giant scroll, looking scuffed up and lost. Iruka, wounded and sad, was cringing. But Mizuki was raising a giant Shuriken aiming to take Naruto's life. And so she moved, and before anyone could say a damn thing Kanade's fist slammed into the back of his head. The man collapsed to his knees, before falling face first into the ground.
She growled. "Naruto, you okay, hun?"
The boy shook his head. "He said I have the Kyuubi in my body... I am a monster, I AH!" he screamed as she slapped him Hard.
Grabbing his chin, she forced him to look into her eyes. " You are Naruto Uzumaki, pain in the ass and general annoyance, but you are not a monster. You hear me?" She kneeled, pulling him into a hug. "And Naruto, if you are Host of the Fox, you are keeping us safe. That makes you a hero... and my friend." She intoned, kissing his hair as he buried into her.
"Friend?"
"Yes, Friend. I was too focused on my education to make any friends, but I think it's time I make some friends. Now, let's go to the Hokage, I am sure he would have some things to say to us."
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a wonderful chapter.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
