Chapter 17: Jason kill's Mongul
Summary:
Jason fights Mongul to the death. It's very one sided.
Mongul looked into the mask of the Red Hood before looking down at the gun aimed for his head.
"What are you doing here?"
"You gave Batman his greatest desire and ripped it away from him. I'm here to make you pay for that."
"Why?"
"You hurt the man who raised me. I take that very personally. now die."
Mogul watched as the gun fired... and did nothing. He backhanded the man in the Red Hood and stalked over to him. "Family is a weakness, and one that has gotten you killed." He raised his foot to crush the man in the Red Hood under his foot.
Jason kicked Mongul in the balls with enough force to break something. "Really? Cause I think it's about to get you killed." Jason grabbed his knife and stabbed Mongul in the eye, twisting it in the socket.
Mongul slapped Jason away and tried teleporting.
"Not going to work asshole!" Jason spartan kicked Mongul to the floor and stabbed his other eye out before twisting the knife, blinding him. "How's that Invulnerability treating you now!"
Mongul slapped Jason away and tried getting away.
"I promised Batman that I wouldn't kill anymore, but I never said anything about not making you suffer, and if you die from your injuries... welp, I'll be far enough away from here to make it seem like I had nothing to do with it, and if someone decides to end you themselves, well, that wasn't me, now was it?"
Jason took out a vial of Venom and injected it into himself before he threw Mongul into a wall.
"Here's the thing about Humans. You see us as weak but guess what? We're REALLY good at finding new ways to kill each other. I honestly don't know why Superman is even trying to save us anymore."
Jason grabbed Mongul by the throat and slammed him into the ground.
"We've found new ways to torture each other!"
He kicked Mongul into a pillar.
"You can't even defend yourself because you're blind!"
He axe Kicked Mongul into the floor before he grabbed Mongul and threw him into another pillar.
"I can't believe the Justice League had so much trouble with you!"
Jason Smashed Mongul's head into the floor.
"It's insulting!"
Jason wrapped a garrot around Mongul's throat and began strangling him.
"But then again! They weren't willing to go this far!"
Mongul grabbed Jason and threw him into a pillar.
"While you are a great deal more annoying that the protectors of Earth, you are still no match for the Mighty Mongul." Mongul said, getting to his feet.
"The only thing mighty about you is your BO." A familiar voice said before an Arrow hit Mongul in the knee. "Oh my." Roy smirked. "You didn't tell me he was getting married Jay." Roy laughed as he backflipped off his perch and went over to help Jason.
"The fuck are you talking about Roy?" Jason asked, standing up with Roy's help.
"He took an Arrow to the knee. He's getting married."
"Your particular brand of humor is the lowest form of comedy."
"No, that's puns." Roy smirked. "That was more of a prop joke, but jokes on him, the prop was real!"
Jason sighed. "Just kick his ass."
"With pleasure!" Starfire shouted, grabbing Mongul and slamming him into the ground, her skin superheating by the second.
Mongul headbutted Kori away and stood up to show melted flesh and third-degree burns.
"That am cold!" Bizarro shouted. "Bizarro and heat you up!" Bizarro shouted, blasting Mongul with Ice Vision.
"Freeze him solid big guy." Jason menaced, pulling out his guns.
"Him hot as sun Red Him." Bizarro said.
Jason emptied his magazines into the ice, shattering it and Mongul with it. "Guess I lied. I did kill you. That's for B you sick son of a bitch."
"Him alive Red Him. Him hear you good."
"Thanks, big guy. I know. Let's throw him in the trash or something, or in different trashes, somewhere that he can't easily come back for revenge."
Jason and the Outlaws took Mongul's shattered remains to various places and threw them away in the hopes that he would never come back before heading their separate ways until next time.
Jason went back to his Safe House.
"Hello Bruce." Jason said, taking off his helmet.
"Jason. Why did you kill Mongul?"
"Are you for real B?" Jason asked. "I overheard you talking to the others about what he did to you. What he made you see. I overheard you and Alfred talking after it happened. Heard the pain in your voice. He hurt you in a way that no one else ever has! I wasn't going to sit back and let him rot away in some comfy prison while he got to live his best life in a dream! He hurt you, Bruce! I made sure that he could never hurt anyone ever again!"
"He was in the Phantom Zone!"
"And what? Like I can't get to the Phantom Zone? I have Bizarro on my team."
"Jason!" Superman flew into the room. "You invaded my Fortress of Solitude?"
"What? Like it was hard?"
Bruce and Superman looked at each other before looking at Jason.
"If you want an apology, I'm sorry for sneaking into the Fortress of Solitude, but I'm not sorry for killing Mongul."
Superman and Bruce looked at each other.
"You two weren't going to do it and that bastard had a way to stop you!" Jason pointed at Superman. "If he could have stopped you what else could he have done?"
The two looked at each other again.
"I won't go back into your Fortress of Solitude unannounced, I won't sneak into the Phantom Zone again, and I won't kill anyone else." Jason said but knew full well that if another person hurt his friends or family that he would kill them without hesitation.
"Fine." Superman said.
"Not fine." Batman said. "You set conditions for those terms before making the promise. You'll kill again if those conditions are met."
"Yeah, and?"
The sky over Gotham went pitch black as the sky was blacked out.
Jason Todd. You defeated Mongul. You are now the Ruler of War World.
"Well fuck." Jason said.
