"Vik, I think I might've cracked the code to the hexcore!" Jayce says as he bursts open the door to their office.

Viktors slumped over the desk with his head in his hand and slowly turns in his chair to face Jayce.

"Oh? And what is that Jayce? You know we've been at it for months now and haven't made any progress"

Jayce enthusiastically walks towards Viktor and grabs his shoulders.

"I know it's been hard, but I was thinking, maybe we made some errors in our initial hypothesis and–"

"Errors? Do you take me for such a fool Jayce? My calculations are sou–"

"Listen, I'm not trying to say it's your fault or that you're wrong, I just think we underestimated how strange this hexcore thing behaves"

Viktor lets out a sigh and reclines in his chair.

"Very well, let me see these proposals you speak of"

"Thank you!" Jayce expresses with a huge smile. He places stacks of paper on Viktor's desk filled with calculations and drawings of the hexcore's inner workings. He then stands back and allows Viktor to take it all in.

Viktor brings a hand to his chin and squints while leaning over the papers in his chair.

"Interesting, so you believe the hexcore is potentially more magically inclined than we believed?"

Jayce points towards his diagrams.

"Exactly!, we've always known it was a mix of magic and technology, but I believe we've underestimated just how strange this object is, I think with these new calculations we can make the next big step into bringing hextech into the world"

A smirk comes across Viktor's face.

"I think you might be right Jayce, first thing tomorrow morning we'll implement your changes to the hexcore"

Jayce stands straight and brings his head back as he lets out a sigh of relief, a few moments pass and a small chuckle can be heard leaving Jayce's lips.

Viktor swivels in his chair to face Jayce.

"What is it?" asks Viktor.

Jayce raises his head to face Viktor and wipes his forehead.

"Oh, it's not a big deal, it's just–"

Viktor noticing Jayce's hesitation and demeanour change now stands from his chair, looking Jayce in the eyes. He places his hand on one of Jayce's shoulders,

"Please, speak your mind friend"

Jayce avoids Viktor's eyes turning his head slightly to the side and purses his lips.

"It's just that, and it sounds so silly now, but-"

Jayce places his hand on the back of his neck gently massaging it, his pursed lips turn to a slight smile.

"It's just that, I was so nervous to show you those calculations"

Another chuckle leaves Jayce,

"I mean I believed in myself, but I don't know, I was just worried you might think I'm stupid or something and–"

Viktor raises his hand from Jayce's shoulder placing it onto Jayce's chin, gently turning his head to face him directly. Jayce squeezes one of his hands that are to his side and takes a noticeable breath. Viktor begins to gently caresses Jayce's cheek.

"My friend, you know I would never judge you like that, how silly of you" Viktor says as a laugh overcomes him.

A large smile now comes across Jayce's face and he too is overcome by a laugh joining Viktor. Jayce grabs the wrist of Viktor's hand caressing his cheek and places a kiss.

"I know, I know, I just can get in my head sometimes" says Jayce as he's now holding onto Viktor's wrist with both his hands, snuggling Viktor's hand across his face.

Viktor steps closely to Jayce side, moving the hand that's on Jayce's face over his shoulder, pulling him in. With a large smile coming onto Viktor's face he boisterously says,

"Come Jayce! It's been a long week, let us enjoy some of the spoils that Piltover has to offer no?"

A chuckle is heard leaving Jayce as he lowers his head, raising it to meet Viktor, Jayce wraps his arm around Viktor's waist,

"Yes, Viktor, let's have some fun"

They both hobble out of the office, side by side.

As they leave sparks begin to leave the hexcore, it's becoming increasingly unstable, a faint glimmer begins to glow from the core.

Suddenly the glimmer bursts into a bright light overtaking the entire office, as this happens a shadow person can be seen emanating on the wall, and they are strangely in the shape of Viktor.
