1984-

After 4 million years of dormancy, the Ark's computer Teletraan-1 is reactivated when Mount St Hilary erupts. However, unable to differentiate between the autobots and decepticons due to its previous damage, it reactivated both sides and rebuilt them into Earth vehicles, which it had scanned using probes and assumed were the dominant life forms on the planet. Before the autobots could be reactivated, the disoriented Decepticons chose to flee elsewhere to figure out the situation due to being greatly outnumbered and lacking resources.

Once the autobots all fully reawakened as well, Optimus Prime immediately noticed that B-127 was missing, but while he was concerned for his old friend, he knew they had bigger issues currently. Swearing to protect this new world from the threat that the Decepticons no doubt posed to it, Optimus sent a recon team consisting of Brawn, Trailbreaker, Sunstreaker and led by Prowl to scout out the new world and make contact with the natives.

Once this team headed out, Optimus then attempted to contact Cybertron for aid. Unfortunately, the Ark's systems were so damaged that it would take a long time for the message to reach Cybertron. Meanwhile, the crew of the Nemesis had all reconvened away from civilization. Without Soundwave, this crew of Decepticons consisted of Megatron, Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, the Constructicons, and the coneheads Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet.

Deciding to first focus on stealing Earth's energy to convert into fuel for themselves before looking for Soundwave, Megatron, Thrust, Dirge and the Seekers headed out to search for energy sources while leaving Ramjet and the Constructicons behind to scout for the Autobots. However, they all instead decided to go look for Earthlings to kill.

After a few hours of flying and driving, the group discovered a Drive in theater which the autobot group led by Prowl were also investigating. The Decepticons attacked the cars, assuming them to be the planet's dominant lifeforms, and the autobots jumped to their defense. In the midst of the battle, Prowl realized that the humans they saw fleeing from the cars were the planet's actual dominant species, and the vehicles were inanimate.

Ramjet was soon overpowered by the autobot team and forced to fly away in his jet plane mode, forcing the autobots to fight off the Construcicons, who were instructed by Ramjet to cover his escape After a few hours of flying away, the conehead eventually came across a Sector Seven training exercise in the woods being led by colonel Jack Burns. He attacked the agents present with his missiles, sending them all sprawling in shock.

They attempted to shoot at the Decepticon, but all their bullets simply bounced off his metal body. Luckily, B-127 had been roaming the area and stumbled upon the scene. Seeing the autobot symbol on the other bot's chassis, Ramjet immediately attacked him, forcing B-127 to defend himself. Despite not remembering how to fight, nearly being completely empty on energon and being ragdolled for most of the fight, B-127 was eventually able to use one of Ramjet's own missiles to blow him to pieces.

Unfortunately, the fight had taken much out of B-127, and he was barely able to limp to a river bank and scan a volkswagen beetle alternate mode before going into stasis lock. Only a short bit of time later, Megatron and his fellow Decepticons located an oil rig which Spike and Sparkplug Witwicky were currently working at. Seeking to plunder the rig's energy, the Decepticons raided it and used its generators to create energon cubes.

Spike was thrown overboard when he attempted to help his father, with Sparkplug leaping in after him. Luckily for the humans, the autobot's spy drone had already detected the Decepticons moving to the oil rig hours earlier, and when they were about to finish off the remaining humans, Optimus Prime and the other autobots with him appeared to stop them.

Upon realizing that the humans were the Earth's dominant lifeforms, the autobots focused on saving them while fighting off the Decepticons. As soon as it was clear that the Decepticons would lose the battle, Megatron blasted the rig and set fire to the oil tanks to cover his escape. After the autobots saved the human workers still there, they explained who they were to them.

The two Witwickys quickly befriended them, offering up their expertise and knowledge about Earth in exchange for joining the team. Soon afterwards, Megatron and his Decepticons attacked Sherman Dam, seeking to plunder its energy as well. The Decepticons all began blasting the area in order to turn the river into dangerous rapids. Luckily the energy output was detected by Teletraan-1, and the Autobots rushed to stop the Decepticons.

Once the Autobots arrived at the dam, both sides began a massive battle. While the autobots focused on evacuating the humans in the area, Optimus and Megatron battled each other on top of the dam. The two were evenly matched, but Spike's cries of distress distracted Prime long enough for Megatron to knock him into the river below. The Decepticons then fled with their spoils while Jazz helped Optimus out of the river.

Unfortunately, Sparkplug had been kidnapped by the Decepticons during the mayhem. Once they retreated to a mountain base built out of the remains of an abandoned nuclear plant, Megatron sent the Seekers to find Soundwave while he attempted to force Sparkplug to create a device that converted gasoline into artificial energon for them. At this point, the Constructicons had returned to the Decepticons after escaping Prowl's group.

Remembering his time in Korea, Sparkplug planned to do the same thing with the Decepticons. He agreed to help the Decepticons but requested for parts to help build the converter. Megatron agreed and sent the Constructicons to do just that. As they did so, the Seekers managed to locate the base where Soundwave was being held after hours of searching and blasted it open, bringing him back to Megatron to be reactivated.

The government quickly caught wind of them and the giant fortress that the Decepticons had built, sending the army to the scene at the same time reporters swarmed over it. One of these reporters was Peter Parker, who decided to change into his black Spider-Man suit in order to get better shots of the fortress.

However, this was happening at the same time that Ironhide was looking around the area to scout out the fortress. He and Spider-Man engaged in a brief clash due to a misunderstanding, but quickly realized that they were on the same side when Ironhide saved a group of reporters from a tank thrown by Skywarp. The web-slinging hero was taken to meet the rest of the autobots and agreed to help them save Sparkplug.

After managing to get them past the army, Spidey snuck his way into the base while the Autobots were forced to hold off not only the Decepticons, but the humans once they realized what was going on. Once confronting Megatron, Spider-Man used his webs to briefly mummify the Decepticon leader before attempting to flee with Sparkplug. Unfortunately, Megatron managed to blast a hole in the floor of the base, with Spider-Man barely managing to save himself and Sparkplug.

Afterwards, the humans and Autobots all returned to the Ark, with the transformers learning what Sparkplug had done. Sunsteaker lashed out at the human and attempted to blast him with his flamethrower, and although the other autobots were able to ensure that Sparkplug wasn't killed, he still suffered a heart attack and was rushed off to the hospital. Spider-Man had already left by this point.

At the same time, Megatron stepped out of his base to the army, and laughed as all of their tank and gun fire didn't even dent him. The Decepticon leader then stepped back inside to show how insignificant the humans were to him. Once he was done, he had Soundwave reactivated with the artificial energon. Once he was online, he sent Laserbeak for even more establishments to take energy from.

At the same time, the Autobots were forced by their lack of energon to launch a final attack at the Decepticons. The battle initially went in the Decepticon's favor, but they all suddenly began writhing in agony. It turned out that Sparkplug had actually poisoned the fuel he had created for the Decepticons. Said evil Cybertronians were forced to retreat, and the grateful autobots returned to the Ark.

Once he recovered, Sparkplug would create a proper fuel converter for the autobots. Unfortunately, at the same time Laserbeak had managed to locate a new highly efficient oil drilling plant created by Blackrock Industries, which had been founded by millionaire Garrison "G.B." Blackrock (Who unbeknownst to even himself was the latest human disguise of Sovereign). Megatron ordered the Seekers to attack the Oil drilling plant, and they did so.

Starscream and the Seekers attacked the Oil drilling plant, and even the defense system created by Blackrock employee Josie Beller was unable to stop them. Even more unfortunately, a chain reaction of debris caused Josie to be electrocuted, leaving her paralyzed in all but her left arm. The seekers then returned to Decepticon headquarters with all of the new energy while Josie was left hospitalized.

The Decepticon's new influx of energy couldn't have come soon enough, as it was shortly afterwards that both the Autobots and Decepticons finally received the distress message that had been continuously broadcasted from the Mantlo ever since the ship's arrival centuries prior. The seekers, wishing to destroy whatever lay within the ship on Megatron's orders, flew over Statham castle and dropped bomb-like probes on it.

At the same time, the Autobots made clandestine contact with the son of the castle's curator; and the regional human military, spooked by the mysterious jets that had strafed the castle, led an investigation that ended up unearthing part of the downed ship. The exposed hull had a small autobot symbol on it, but the humans didn't realize its significance.

At first Fastlane made no response to all of the activity, but one day he emerged once again…only to be destroyed by a barrage of missiles from the seekers. This was followed by an all-out battle between the Autobots and Decepticons which ended with the Autobots victorious and the Decepticons being forced to flee.

After the battle, Optimus Prime immediately chose to order the Mantlo to be destroyed, in keeping with the mission he had given Punch 4 million years prior. Jazz dutifully obeyed Optimus's order and destroyed the Mantlo with his handheld blaster, unknowingly killing Cloudraker within. Afterwards, the Autobots returned to the Ark, the strange case of the Man of Iron behind them.

A few months later in December, the distress message that Prime had broadcasted to Cybertron shortly after awakening finally reached 2 recipients on its way to said planet. Unfortunately, these recipients were the Decepticons Shatter and Dropkick, who had been patrolling the edge of the solar system while heading to see if Ore-13 was ready to be mined on Shockwave's orders.

Shocked at hearing the voice of the long-thought dead Optimus Prime, the two Decepticons decided to head to Earth to investigate, although it would take until Summer of the next year for them to reach the planet from where they were. Meanwhile on Earth, the Autobots discovered Christmas when they stopped Soundwave and Laserbeak from draining the power from the town of Midville and saved a family called the Perrys from being crushed by a tree knocked over by Laserbeak.

After helping repair the town's power, the Autobots decided to throw a Christmas party on the Ark at Spike's request, with Optimus even wearing a Santa Claus costume, much to Prowl's bemusement.

1985-

Megatron has Soundwave contact Cybertron in order to inform them that he was alive and to come to Earth. Upon hearing of this, Straxus arranged for the capture of Autobot scientist Spanner in order to construct a space bridge that would allow Straxus's forces to join up with Megatron's on Earth.

Spanner was indeed kidnapped, but he and his kidnapper were pursued by the autobot spy Scrounge, who had learned of the plan. Unfortunately, he was captured by Straxus's troops and brought before the ruler of Darkmount himself, who chopped off Scrounge's special arm and sentenced him to death in the smelting pits.

Meanwhile, Scrounge's friend Blaster had grown worried after his disappearance and went to look for him against the orders of the autobot Perceptor. Unfortunately, by the time Blaster found Scrounge, the yellow autobot had already been reduced to a torso in the smelters pit. When Blaster was captured and sentenced to the same fate as his friend, Scrounge was able to give him the information he had recovered in his final moments: Optimus Prime and his autobots were alive and on Earth. Blaster was then saved by the other members of his autobot crew.

The Decepticon spacebridge was completed not long afterwards, but Straxus was unable to acquire the parts for a proper one due to them having been discontinued in peacetime. Due to this, a faulty fuel line caused the Decepticon Crosscut to be destroyed when he tried to go through, and another one was sent to instant death while trying to check what had gone wrong.

As these tests continued, the autobot resistance force that Blaster was a part of planted explosives within Darkmount, destroying it and sending an enraged Straxus after their heads. With the primitive spacebridge unattended, Blaster went to destroy it with fission bombs, but Straxus confronted him in a one on one duel before he could detonate them.

Crippling Blaster with his axe, Straxus was subsequently tricked into accidentally severing the bridge's fuel line and destabilizing it's teleportation arch before Blaster kicked him into it, killing him. The autobot resistance group then decided to go through the portal, successfully making their way to Earth and meeting up with Optimus Prime's team. Although surprised by the arrival of more autobots, Optimus welcomed the new autobots to the team with open arms.

Perceptor then contacted Ultra Magnus and informed him of Optimus Prime and his autobot's survival, and at the autobot leader's request, the autobot commander on Cybertron began secretly working on obstructing a space bridge large enough for them to send the still dormant Metroplex through and revive him so that they could defeat Megatron. Months later in the summer, a 17 year old girl named Charlie Watson discovered the stasis locked B-127 in a volkswagen beetle mode in an auto repair shop.

At the same time, Shatter and Dropkick finally arrived on Earth and killed a man before going to locate the autobots. Charlie, who was still mourning the death of her father and was angry at her mother already having a new boyfriend, only had her grievances added to when on her 18th birthday, she received only a pink bicycle helmet and a book about smiling more from them respectively.

Combined with her failure to make progress on restoring her late father's corvette, Charlie was left fuming and stormed over to Hank's Marine Repair and Parts, asking the owner Hank for the Volkswagen Beetle he had and even offering to work for him for a year in exchange for it. Hank refused however due to the fact that he wasn't hiring any employees. He did offer Charlie the car for free if she was able to activate it, though.

To his surprise, she was actually able to restart the car and triumphantly returned home with it. Charlie parked her new beetle in the garage but was surprised when a part fell from its undercarriage. She was left even more surprised when she inspected it and saw a face underneath the car. It was right afterwards that B-127 instinctively transformed, revealing himself to Charlie.

The human girl's fear quickly turned to compassion as she saw that the autobot was just as scared of her as she was of him. She managed to sooth the scared scout and formed an emotional connection with him, naming him "Bumblebee" after the warbled beeps and buzzes he made. Meanwhile, Seymour Simmons informed Agent Burns of Shatter and Dropkick's touchdown in Texas, and the older Sector Seven agent immediately went with a team to intercept them.

Once they arrived where Shatter and Dropkick were, The two Decepticons (who had scanned Earth alternate modes) claimed that they were a "Decepticon peacekeeping patrol" hunting down the "dangerous rogue criminal" B-127. Due to not understanding the separation between Autobots and Decepticons thanks to a lack of knowledge about the species, the S7 agents, especially a scientist named Dr Powell, accepted these lies with open arms.

Burns was the only one who was skeptical, but ultimately joined the others. They escorted the two Decepticons to one of their outposts and gave them limited access to their satellites, allowing them to link all of Earth's satellites and computers into one network, creating a primitive version of what would one day be known as the internet.

Meanwhile, Charlie and Bumblebee were bonding with each other, forming a close friendship. While they were in a forest together, Charlie began attempting to repair the damage Bumblebee had suffered from his fight with Dirge a year prior. While doing so, she ended up accidentally reactivating a message from Optimus Prime. This message had been sent to Bumblebee shortly after his fight with Ramjet, but he had been in stasis lock at the time.

Seeing this message caused Bumblebee to have a brief flash of memory of his life on Cybertron, including Optimus Prime himself and the war against the Decepticons. Charlie realized that Bee was on the run from something serious, and brought him back to her garage to at least fix his broken radio. Once the new radio was installed from the corvette Charlie had been trying to repair, the two continued to bond.

Eventually however, Bee ended up accidentally revealing his position when after a failed attempt to get back at Charlie's bully Tina Lark resulted in them escaping the authorities and Bee plugging himself into a wall socket, sending out an energon infused power surge that alerted Sector Seven, Shatter and Dropkick.

The Sector Seven soldiers managed to apprehend Bumblebee once they found him, and Shatter and Dropkick interrogated him. Not getting any information, Bee was knocked out by electrical anti-transformer weapons used by Sector Seven, with Charlie being knocked out when she tried to help him.

Bumblebee was then transferred to Mckennin air base and further interrogated by the two Decepticons. When Charlie woke up, she was confined to her room by her parents after Burns told them that she had stolen "Valuable government equipment." Once confined to her room, Charlie managed to sneak out and she and her friend Memo sneaked their way to the Sector Seven base and watched as the Decepticons inadvertently activated Prime's message in B-127.

As the Decepticons discussed the ramifications of this message and made plans to inform Shockwave, Powell realized their mistake in working with the evil robots and attempted to warn Agent Burns before being killed by Dropkick. Said Decepticon quickly located a nearby communications tower they could use to contact Shockwave, and after Dropkick blasted Bumblebee, the pair flew off.

Charlie and Memo then ran up to Bee and attempted to reactivate him with the electric guns at Charlie's suggestion. While initially they were unsuccessful, Bumblebee soon stood up and his memories were fully restored. Agent Burns and his men then busted in and began attempting to take Charlie and Memo away while harpooning Bumblebee.

It was only when Burns shoved Charlie to the ground that Bumblebee began fighting back and blasting near the humans, not hitting any of them but forcing them to retreat. Sector Seven then fled with Charlie talking Bee down afterwards. Charlie attempted to convince Bee to hide, but the autobot scout was determined to take the Decepticons down.

Charlie then left in Bee, while Memo unsuccessfully attempted to stall the Sector Seven vehicles. The two eventually arrived at the tower where Shatter and Dropkick were, and after Charlie hid in a nearby garbage bin, Bumblebee fought Dropkick in an even battle. Ultimately, while Burns arrived in a helicopter and had the pilot blow up the communications tower, Bumblebee managed to kill Dropkick.

Charlie soon reached the top of the crane and leaped across to the tower. Over her, Shatter shot down the Sector Seven helicopter, with Bee managing to catch it before it hit the ground, saving Burns's life. Charlie managed to disconnect the tower's power source while Shatter was lured to a dry dock and crushed between a ship and the side of the dock.

After Charlie dived into the ocean and guided Bumblebee back to safety, Agent Burns allowed them to leave before his reinforcements arrived, having seen the error of his ways. His memories restored and his body healed, Bumblebee then drove Charlie to the golden gate bridge before contacting Optimus Prime, informing him of his location and asking him to pick him up. Charlie then told Bee that she couldn't interfere with his greater purpose and that they had to go their separate ways.

After a tearful farewell, Bumblebee drove off in order to get to the location of the Ark. It took weeks of travel, but eventually he was able to reach the shuttle and reunite with his autobot comrades, who were all overjoyed to see him. At the same time though, Megatron and his Decepticons discovered Jetfire in the arctic encased in a block of ice and freed him at Starscream's request.

Jetfire joined the Decepticons due to his previous friendship with Starscream, but expressed doubt in their methods. A later battle in the arctic with the autobots which had Jetfire show compassion for both captured humans and autobots led to the Decepticons turning on him, and in response Jetfire left them and joined the autobots.

A few days later, Josie Beller emerged from the hospital, having equipped Blackrock-provided cybernetic enhancements to her body that allowed her freedom of movement. At the same time, hearing of Blackrock developing an anti-robot weapon out of fear of the cybertronians, Jazz and Wheeljack were sent to talk to Blackrock and explain to him the differences between the two factions.

While they were heading to him, Josie revealed herself in her new enhancements to Blackrock, now calling herself Circuit Breaker. She had gained the ability to shoot electricity, disrupt circuitry and fly. Blackrock was concerned, but Circuit Breaker vowed that she would avenge her failure to defend him, now hating all robots with a passion.

Soon afterwards, Jazz and Wheeljack successfully made contact with Blackrock and helped him understand the distinction between the autobots and Decepticons, making a deal with him to protect him from the Decepticons in exchange for fuel. The next day, when Blackrock unveiled his Anti-Robot Photonic Multi-Cannon to the press, it was sabotaged by Circuit Breaker. She wanted Blackrock to announce her as the real anti-robot weapon he had intended to announce.

Unfortunately, Starscream and Soundwave's cassette minion Frenzy then attacked the demonstration, intent on stealing the cannon. Jazz and Wheeljack jumped into action to stop them, but Circuit Breaker's hatred did not distinguish between Autobot or Decepticon, causing her to attack all the Cybertronians present. Unfortunately, as the autobots did not want to hurt the human, they were especially affected by her electric attacks.

Blackrock begged for Circuit Breaker to stop and demanded that she realized that not all robots were evil, but she refused to listen. Eventually, she left in need of a recharge, vowing to one day finish what she had started. Both Autobot and Decepticon duos then returned to their respective bases.

The final major events in this jam packed year were the discovery and rescue of the Dynobots by Wheeljack (Although the group all left to work on their own due to not liking Prime's leadership) and the Autobots having to deal with Wheeljack's immobilizer machine which had been stolen by the Decepticons.

During this latter adventure, Spike met 15 year old MIT prospect Carly Spencer, who he would begin dating shortly after this. Carly was also introduced to the Autobots, and she and Spike became fast friends with Bumblebee. The autobots were also introduced to Spike's genius paraplegic friend Chip Chase, who was currently working under a Doctor Alcazar.

1986-

In January of this year, the spacebridge intended to bring Metroplex's dormant body to Earth was finally completed on Cybertron, and the titan's body was brought to an isolated wasteland where it could be worked on. Ultra Magnus himself even decided to come to Earth to aid in the process, leaving the Elite Guard behind on Cybertron to watch over the planet while he was gone. The Autobot's human friends even aided in the restoration efforts.

Unfortunately, during the early stages of the construction of what was dubbed "Project: Scramble City", the Decepticons learned of Dr Alcazar's antimatter formula that unleashed incredible amounts of energy and attempted to steal it. As they raided the laboratory, Alcazar managed to use his computer to upload the formula over a modem connection into Chip Chase's home computer.

Once Megatron realized that the formula was gone after a failed interrogation of Alcazar, he and his Decepticons left the lab. Meanwhile at the Ace Aircraft factory, Prowl's battle computer was damaged by Soundwave, forcing the autobot to scan for another computer to use. His signal found Chip's computer, which had also received Alcazar's antimatter formula.

Chip quickly assumed control of Prowl, using his desktop computer to guide the autobot through combat maneuvers. With Chip in command, Prowl took control of one of the surplus jets and fired its weapons at the Decepticons. Starscream and his cronies then fled the battle. The Decepticons eventually managed to find Chip and pry the Antimatter formula from his brain with Soundwave's mind reading abilities.

The Decepticons managed to create antimatter energon cubes, but unfortunately for them they ended up being overloaded by the power and were forced to expel all of it before fleeing. Afterwards, the autobots cheered Chip, as he had planted a device of Skywarp that allowed them to control him and have him fire blasts out randomly. Afterwards, construction continued on Project: Scramble CIty.

At the same time, Megatron had decided to try something unknowingly similar to the project, having the seekers and the constructicons dig up the Nemesis, which they had recently discovered in South America, and begin working on restoring Trypticon within. Weeks after the Antimatter incident as both titans neared completion, Megatron detected an unusually high level of energon emissions on the computer installed in the Decepticon's base.

He had Soundwave dispatch Ravage, Laserbeak and Ratbat to check on what was going on. Ratbat was the Decepticon's former energy manager on Cybertron who had arrived through Straxus's spacebridge before it exploded and became one of Soundwave's cassete-bots. Once they arrived at the source of the energon emissions, which was the site of Project: Scramble City, they began attempting to break through.

Blaster fought back against them using his own cassette-bots Ramhorn and Steeljaw, but Ratbat managed to get past them and entered the mountain containing the dormant Metroplex, discovering what the autobots were doing and relaying the information to his masters. Megatron quickly dispatched the seekers and the Constructicons to destroy the autobot factory.

They battled Optimus Prime's forces outside the mountain containing said factory, but once the Constructicons merged into Devastator (An upgrade granted to them by Shockwave shortly after their conversion to the Decepticon cause), the autobots were overwhelmed. Seeing this, Ultra Magnus sent a combiner team of Airealbots who had followed him to Earth to back up Prime's forces.

The seekers and Devastator were quickly sent into retreat by the Airealbots and Autobot's firepower, and once Megatron heard of this, he sent another new combiner team who had arrived through Straxus's spacebridge known as the Stunticons to attack the autobots. They engaged the autobots and aerialbots in combat, and the aerialbots soon merged into Superion.

In response, the Stunticons merged into Menasor. The two combiners engaged in a heated battle, both constantly switching limbs to get the upper hand. Unfortunately, the Combaticons soon arrived (having also come from the spacebridge) and merged into Bruticus, allowing the Decepticon combiners to overwhelm Superion.

Fortunately, it was at that moment that Metroplex's reconstruction was finally completed, with him being sent in his mobile base mode to back up Prime's group. Metroplex arrived just in time to save them from the Decepticon combiners, quickly transforming into robot mode and turning the tide of the battle, forcing the Decepticons to retreat after just one shot from his blaster.

Optimus then shook Magnus's hand and thanked both him and Metroplex for the assist. However, it was at that moment that a fully revived Trypticon rose from the sea, ready to challenge Metroplex. In the battle that followed, Trypticon ripped out Metroplex's T-cog, and in response the autobot titan used his antimatter projector cannon to blow Trypticon to pieces.

Fortunately for the Decepticons, they were able to retrieve the Decepticon Full-Tilt from Trypticon's remains. The Decepticon had previously been altered to serve as the dino-titan's "Black Box", containing backup data which would allow the Decepticons to rebuild Trypticon whenever they needed to. Afterwards, Ultra Magnus chose to return to Cybertron, ordering the combiners to stay on Earth to help against Megatron. The combiners agreed and did so.

Meanwhile, GI Joe was forced to face their own issues. After Cobra's latest defeat, Cobra-La had decided to take matters into their own hands. A Cobra-La agent named Pythonia travelled to Cobra's base and convinced Cobra Commander to steal Gi Joe's latest weapon, the Broadcast Energy Transmitter, or BET for short. Unfortunately for the villains, this assault failed just like all the rest.

GI Joe was able to use the BET to activate their automated defense systems, and Cobra were ordered to retreat to Cobra-La. A team of Joes attempted to pursue them, but were brutally attacked, knocked out and captured by the people of Cobra-La. Once they arrived, Cobra Commander was turned into a snake by Globulus for his failures, and the evil leader proclaimed his plan to use the same spores used to convert Cobra Commander to revert humanity to a primitive state so that Cobra-La could reclaim the Earth.

Thankfully GI Joe were able to stop this and ravage Cobra-La's ice dome, although the GI Joe Duke was knocked into a coma from which it was unlikely that he would ever wake up. Because of this, his half brother Lt Falcon rose to become a well respected member of GI Joe, hoping to fill his brother's shoes.

Not long afterwards, unmanned probes were sent to the moon by the Soviet Union which discovered the Steelhaven's remains. They took a fuel cell from the ship and brought it back to Earth for study. They experimented on the cell in a power plant in Chernobyl, but they ended up accidentally igniting it on April 26th, which caused the plant's reactor to melt down.

Chernobyl and the area around it was rendered uninhabitable, forcing the evacuation of the city of Pripyat. The Soviet Union would cover up the true reason why the reactor melted down, but they never recovered from this. Around the same time at Sector Seven, Seymour Simmons was approached by Sir Edmond Burton, now the last of the Order of the Witwiccans.

Although Simmon's eccentricity greatly annoyed Burton, he gave the Sector Seven agent a proposition: He would become Burton's link to Sector Seven, telling the old man about the goings on at the organization in regards to the transformers. Burton had only approached a member of Sector Seven now due to transformer activity slowly becoming more prominent. Simmons, eager to share more about the transformers with others, readily agreed. The two would remain in contact for the next few decades.

1987-

Early in this year, Buster Witwicky returns home from college at around the same time as Ratbat was enacting a plan to use a fake car wash to brainwash humans into giving the Decepticons fuel. Even GB Blackrock had been placed under Rabat's control. Buster managed to stop the Decepticon fuel auditor alongside his girlfriend Jessie, and afterwards Sparkplug and Spike decided to introduce Buster to the Autobots, Sparkplug having been among those saved from the mind control.

While Megatron was incredibly frustrated by Ratbat's failure, his attitudes changed when soon afterwards he was approached by the Decepticon Headmasters led by Scorponok. After thousands of years of roaming through space, the Decepticon Headmasters had managed to discover Earth and Megatron's presence on it, now seeking to join the Decepticon leader's forces so that they could rule the universe.

After a demonstration of their unique powers, Megatron was impressed enough to allow them to join the ranks of the Decepticons. This proved to be a fortuitous decision by the Decepticon leader, as when the evil cybertronians faced the Autobots again at a power plant not long later, the headmasters gave them a massive upper hand.

Luckily for the autobots, before Megatron could kill Optimus, who had been put to sleep by the hypnosis powers of the headmaster Mindwipe, 4 autobot headmasters led by Cerebros descended from the sky and turned the tide of the battle. With their aid, the Decepticons were forced to retreat. Once Optimus came too, Cerebros introduced himself and his fellow Headmasters Chromedome, Hardhead, Highbrow and Brainstorm.

They had followed the Decepticon headmasters to Earth and now wished to join Optimus's team in fighting against them. The Autobot Supreme Commander agreed, and so both sides now had Headmasters of their own. A few months into this new stage of the war on Earth, the Autobots learned of Power Station Alpha, the world's first mobile solar/nuclear power station which was being guarded by GI Joe.

Fearing that the Decepticons might try to steal it, Optimus sent Bumblebee to watch the base for any sign of enemy activity. The scout agreed, but didn't like going alone and spent the drive there lamenting his lack of physical power. Unfortunately, during Bumblebee's drive to the site of Power Station Alpha, a Cobra biker trio named the Dreadnoks attempted to steal it for themselves.

They were luckily driven away, but this had piqued Megatron's curiosity, causing him to send the Decepticon Dirge to see what was going on. Once Dirge and Bumblebee arrived at Fort Lewis where the Power Station was being kept, their ensuing battle caused the Joes to think that both were hostile.

So, using futuristic tanks invented for them by Reed Richards after the battle with Soundwave in 1979, the Joes opened fire on both Cybertronians. While Dirge was able to escape, Bumblebee was critically injured by the volley. When the scout's signal disappeared, Optimus sent the Airealbots to check on him, only to find him seemingly dead.

Enraged by this, the aerialbots combined into Superion, and the Joes opened fire on him. However, before Superion was forced to use lethal force, Dirge took the chance to fly away with the power station. Superion quickly split apart and flew after the Decepticon, leaving the Joes bewildered. They then took Bumblebee's body back to their labs and confirmed that he was likely the same species as Soundwave.

However, they also realized that Superion could have killed them at any point if he wanted to, but didn't. A few hours later, after GI Joe had saved the passengers of a cruise ship from Cobra which included GB Blackrock, Dirge had managed to escape the Airealbots and had made his way back to Decepticon headquarters.

Cobra also arrived and suggested an uneasy alliance, but went back on it when Cobra's Doctor Mindbender overheard Megatron discussing with his troops on how he planned to convert Alpha into a device that could siphon Earth's natural energy, which Mindbender realized would destroy the planet. Regardless, Mindbender still continued the alliance, planning to betray the Decepticons the first chance he got.

Meanwhile at Fort Lewis, GB Blackrock informed the GI Joe team of the true nature of Bumblebee and the transformers. Fortunately the autobot scout was still barely clinging onto life, so the Joes began work on repairing him. While they were doing this, the Cobra air fleet flew above the Ark alongside Dirge and began opening fire on it, the autobots firing back with their ion guns.

However, as Dirge prepared to fire at Optimus Prime, the Cobra creation Serpentor, who was among the pilots of one of the fighter jets, remotely jammed Dirge's gun, causing him to explode from the backfire. He used this "act of good faith" to end hostilities with the autobots, and once the Decepticons launched Alpha into space, Cobra formally turned on them and formed an alliance with the autobots. GI Joe also intercepted this message and did the same.

After this strange alliance took shelter in the Ark to avoid the Earthquakes created by Alpha, they made their way to Fort Lewis and finished the repairs on Bumblebee, who emerged in a new and stronger body. Despite still only being able to communicate through his radio, Bumblebee requested that he be renamed Goldbug to go with the new body.

The autobots all accepted this, and the alliance then began debating on what to do with Alpha. Cobra wanted it destroyed, but Blaster feared that due to the Decepticon's meddling, Alpha had become a living being. The Joes also didn't like the idea of destroying Alpha so close to a populated area.

Ultimately the alliance decided to send a small team of 3 to plant explosives on Alpha that could be detonated if necessary, while the rest of the alliance held off the Decepticons. This plan went off mostly without a hitch with Alpha being sent to an unpopulated area, but Cobra remotely turned on the charges and Alpha exploded harmlessly in orbit. Afterwards, Cobra hastily fled the scene while Mindbender also slipped away.

Not convinced that the Joes were blameless in Alpha's destruction, the Autobots told them that with the immediate crisis reverted, that they should leave the Decepticons to them in the future. They then returned to the Ark. While all of this was happening, the US government had decided to combat the Transformer presence on Earth by creating the Rapid Anti-robot Assault Team, or RAAT for short.

Circuit Breaker was recruited as the organization's first member, and she was eager to get the chance to destroy robots, wanting the heads of the cybertronians mounted on the base's walls. Despite concerns about her sanity, the US government agreed to these terms, and this was enough for Circuit Breaker to join them instantly.

While Sector Seven wished to aid through their knowledge of the transformers, their lack of substantial finds in the last few decades and their failure to obtain cybertronian technology from either Bumblebee, Dropkick, or Shatter caused them to be passed up by the US government. Frustrated by this, current director Thomas "Tom" Banachek authorized a mass hunt for Cybertronian artifacts in order to prove to parliament that Sector Seven was still relevant.

During one of these excavations, the men unearthed the flight recorder for the Beast Era Ravage's transwarp cruiser. Only being able to determine that it was of Cybertronian origin, Sector Seven dubbed it Shrodinger's box and stashed it away in their Hoover Dam base alongside other Beast Wars era artifacts they had discovered.

A few months after the discovery of Shrodinger's box, the Decepticon six-changing ninja Sixshot was summoned by Scorponok and arrived to Earth soon afterwards. During the next battle that ensued between the Autobots and the Decepticons, Sixshot befuddled the autobots with his 5 alternate modes, and used his secret 7th "Wingwolf" form to nearly overwhelm Optimus Prime.

Luckily, the Prime was eventually able to see through Sixshot's tricks and defeat him with his much superior physical power. Unfortunately though, as that had been happening, Blaster and Soundwave had been engaged in a violent battle which ended in them fatally wounding the other. As the Decepticons retreated, both sides claimed their downed cassette warriors.

Fortunately, thanks to the advanced super science of Master which the Headmasters had brought with them, Soundwave and Blaster were resurrected with new color schemes, becoming Soundblaster and Twincast respectively. After this, the autobots and decepticons would continue their clashes on a week to week basis. Neither side truly gaining an upper hand. However, much like Starscream, Scorponok had ambitions of becoming the new Decepticon leader.

So, he tricked Megatron, Optimus Prime and the Autobot Headmasters into coming to the arctic for a final showdown. During this battle, Megatron blasted Optimus's arm off with his fusion cannon, and in response the Prime ripped his fusion cannon arm off. With the Decepticon leader delimbed, the Headmasters leaped into the air and performed their "Head formation" attack, spinning in the air and discharging destructive bolts on the surrounding area which caused icebergs to begin collapsing on top of the angry Megatron.

The head formation was briefly disrupted when Megatron shot Hardhead out of the sky, but the headmaster retaliated by knocking him into the ocean before rejoining the head formation. As Megatron was submerged in the icebergs, Optimus delivered a final blaster shot to him with his one remaining arm, knocking him into stasis lock from both the cold and the damage. The observing Scorponok then retreated and returned to Deceptcon headquarters.

Once he arrived, he proclaimed that Megatron was dead and that he was now the Decepticon "Emperor of Terror." The Non-Headmasters among the Decepticon's ranks were less than enthusiastic about this, especially Starscream, who was angry that his opportunity to overthrow Megatron had been squandered. Regardless, he quickly began making plans to overthrow Scorponok instead. At the same time, Scorpopnok commissioned the construction of a secret project to crush the autobots once and for all.

Author's note: Hey everyone, it's good to be back! Sorry that this covers such a short span of time, there was just so much here that I could only fit the first 3 years of the autobot's time on Earth into this. This will likely be the case for most of, if not the rest of this fic. Sorry about that. I hope you enjoy what's to come, though! There's quite a lot!
